It has been a few days since we have learned of Cheech and Nikki's little
brother still being alive and also that there are other hybrids out there
in the world. Adrien has been hard at work on getting the new cloaking
system and the new power system ready to go for our new home. He is nearly
done with them and only needs to test them out before we take them to the
new island. While he has been working on those I have been thinking of a
plan of action to go about looking for the hybrids and other survivors that
are in the world. I have also been thinking heavily on getting Greyson's
brother back to him. He has been asking constantly when we were going to
find him. The only answer I have been able to give him is soon. Everyone
else in the house has been busy packing their stuff and getting our
supplies in order to be moved to our new home. Once Adrien has a successful
test of the new systems we will take them to the island and install them on
the buildings we are going to use. When that is up and running the big task
of cleaning the kitchen and food storage areas. They are filled with rotten
and spoiled foods that need to be gotten rid of. "Derrik could you come
down here please?" Adrien asked with his mind. I went to see what h e
wanted and he needed a hand with the power system for a moment. What he
needed was actually another set of hands. He needed some one to hold a
connection together while he ran the holographic controls for the
device. He touched the hologram a few times then smiled. "Ok does that mean
it works? Cus this thing is making my skin tingle." I said holding two big
cables together. "Sure does. It actually works better than I thought it
would. We should have power to run the cloaking field and anything else we
connect to it with some surplus." He replied. "Good then can I let go of
these things?" I asked holding the cables still. He nodded so I let of them
and they dropped to the floor. "Ok so now that it works when are we going
to install them?" I asked. "Well I was think it would best to do it
soon. If we are going to Alaska to look for hybrids or survivors we should
go while it is still summer in the northern hemisphere. It will be way to
cold in the winter time to try." He suggested. "Yeah I agree. Plus everyone
is itching to get to the new place so we can set the place up." I told
him. "Well let's go soon then. It won't take long to set the cloaking
device up. All we need to do is mount it to the highest point around where
we want to live then run the control and power cables down from there." he
said. "Ok so have you decided where all this shit it supposed to go?" I
said looking around the room at what looked like miles of cables and
wires. "I know exactly where it all goes." He said showing me a detailed
drawing of where he was going to put stuff. The cloaker would go on the
very top of the roof on the main building and the power system would go in
a service building that also housed an emergency diesel generator. The
place already had it's own water purifying system, but it needed
electricity to run. When we got our power supply hooked up to the buildings
for power the water should work fine also. He showed me how he was going to
tie into the power system that was already there and I gotta admit it was
rather simple. All he had to do was disconnect the main junction box that
supplied all the buildings from the power grid of the rest of the island
and connect the alien power cells to it instead. That was going to be the
easiest thing, the hardest was running all of the control cables to the
command center he was setting up in the main offices of the big
building. That was where all the wiring and cable I saw in the room was
going I guessed. "Ok so when are we going to do this?" I asked him. "As
soon as possible like I said." he replied. "Ok well let's get some of the
guys down here to help us load some of this stuff and get going. We can at
lease connect the power and get it ready before we turn the rest of the
buildings on. How are we gonna get to the roof to mount the cloaker?" I
asked. "With these." He said handing me a small device that looked like a
pager. "What is it?" I asked. "A miniature personal cloaker. It will cloak
the wearer for a short time. I have made four of them so far. They will
hide us from the monsters scanning abilities and we will also us them when
we reenter area 51 and the Alaska facility." He replied. Now that we have a
plan together it was time to get it going.

The older guys helped us load the devices and cabling on the ship and
Adrien, Adam, and I set out for our new home. Like I predicted the power
system went in rather fast. The three of us put the mini cloakers on then
lugged the cloaking device to the top of the room. It took us a while to
get up there since we had to climb on the outside of the building at the
same time carrying the device. When we got to the roof we had one hell of a
view of the ocean on one side and the rest of the island behind us. "Wow
this is cool." AJ said. "Yeah I think it's gonna be even better living
here." I said looking down at the big beach near the resort. We sat the
device in place and bolted it to the roof and began to run the cables down
to the ground securing them along the way to the walls. A few hours later
Adrien was making the last of the connections for the cloak to the power
cells. "Ok guys everything is set, this is the moment of truth I guess." He
said as he put his finger on the button to turn the system on. He counted
to three then pushed the button. The power cells came online and the looked
ok. The buildings weren't turned on yet but from what we could tell the
cloak was on. We walked out and AJ looked up and smiled. "It's working I
can see it." He said. It was totally invisible to me, but they could see it
with their special eyes. "Yes is it online, and it is working better than I
thought. It is covering a much greater area than I thought it would."
Adrien said. "Yeah what ever dude you know you're good." I said knowing he
was sort of bragging. "Ok let's get home and tell everyone the news then we
can come back tomorrow and get the rest of the place working." I told
them. We got in the ship and set out back for home, but before leaving
Paradise Island we hovered near the resort and looked to see how much of an
area the cloak covered. "Damn it is big isn't it." AJ said. I still
couldn't see shit and they both knew it. "Try this." Adrien said then he
turned on some kind of filter on the viewer that allowed me to see the
cloak with my eyes. "Wow it is big." I said looking. The cloaking dome
covered the whole resort where we would be living and extended nearly 2
miles into the ocean and in all directions around the resort. We now had
plenty of room to do what ever we wanted outside with out the fear of being
seen from above by the monsters. "Michael was right about this place." I
mumbled with out thinking. "Huh?" AJ asked. "Oh, nothing just thinking is
all." I replied lying. I knew Adrien was trying to scan my thoughts and I
knew I had to try to block him out. "Ok I get it. It must be private if
you're going to such efforts to keep me out." Adrien said referring to me

to know about right now." I replied. He shrugged it off as we set off for
home. 

The house was a fury of people running around and packing things up for the
move. From the amount of stuff we have now I figured it would take a few
trips to get it all to the new island. I had given thought to making a
special trip to find enough food to fill the food storage area up so we

a little distance. Some things to do for recreation like seadoo's or 4
wheelers would definitely be in the plans for the future. For now though we

Greyson and Nikki had decided to bunk together in a 2 bedroom bungalow, although they never planned on using two beds at once, little to the rest of us' knowledge, for now. The twins naturally shared a room, and so did AJ and Donnie who all roomed in one 2 bedroom bungalow together. I'm sure we all know why they all wanted to do that. The rest of the younger guys were situated and we all had our own places to live now. In the end it came down to me sharing my bungalow with Max. The bungalow I had decided to be mine was by far the one with the best view. It was right on the edge of the beach and had a wide open view to the sparkling blue lagoon. It was a real post card view of the ocean and it was mine. It has a small bedroom and a large open area with a bed and Jacuzzi right up against the big bay windows looking over the ocean. The big bed was mine of course so Maxie was stuck with the little room, unless he was willing to sleep with me, hint hint. He wasn't too crazy over having the little room, but he went along with it.

Once everyone was settled into their new spaces we had a big group meeting
in the main dining hall. "Ok everybody listen. We gotta make some rules for
this place. I know it sucks and we didn't have any before, but we gotta
have some now. This place is a lot bigger than the old one and we gotta
have a little order. First thing, since it's just us here right now we can
be naked if we want, but when we start to find new survivors who want to
come here we need to wear at least shorts to cover us up. That is unless
they don't care about being naked to. Ok number two, everyone is gonna have
to start to clean up after themselves now. We don't have a maid here so
what ever mess you make you're gonna have to clean it up yourself or it
don't get cleaned up." I told them. I got a bunch of groans and moans but
they all knew I was right. "There are a few things I want to add." Adrien
said standing up. "No one should tamper with the cloaking or power system
controls or go into the shack where the systems are house. You have to keep
in mind those things are what are keeping us alive." He told us. "He's
right everybody. He has worked his ass off lately to get us here and I
think we should all thank him for it." I told them and started to clap for
Adrien. Everyone else clapped to and cheered as he blushed and smiled form
the attention. "Ok there is a few more small things to go over, but the big
thing is, little guys you never and I mean NEVER go away from the resort or

Gaige, Zack, Donnie, Justin and Nathan. They groaned but knew I was
right. Once we went over the last few details we all went to the big
gathering room that had a huge tv in it. We had connected a dvd player to

"Shrek".

The adjustment period was going great over the next week or so. Everyone
was getting along great and actually kept the place clean and stuck to the
rules we had laid out. The resort was like paradise made over for us. It
had every luxury you could think of that a rich ass high roller might want
when they went on vacation. The food storage area had a lot of canned foods
that were still good. We of course threw away all the spoiled food and
cleaned the place up some. It was on the 7th day at the new place that
Adrien decided to talk with me. "I have the internet link up and the new
ROOM up and operating. I guess what I am hinting at is when are we going to
continue our plans to rescue any hybrids or human survivors that may be out
there? I know that Greyson has been badgering you about finding his
brother." he asked. "Ok let's go to your area and talk about it some." I
said following him to what looked like a utility room inside the main
building. "Holy shit dude! This is amazing." I said looking at the big
hologram he had operating in the middle of the room. "Yes the old place was
limited by the power supply we had. This one is much more powerful and
actually works better." He said smiling. "Yeah like I said before, you know
you're good, fucker." I said laughing. "Ok show me what you been thinking."
I said. He pulled up plans on a map that showed where the base in Alaska
was and where he had found other possible survivors living. "Looks like
there's a few people around here." I said pointing to an area in
Pennsylvania. Adrien zoomed in on the hologram focusing in on the area. He
zoomed in to the point where we could actually see the houses on the
ground. "Holy shit man this is much better than the old one." I said
referring to the new system he built. "From what info I have gathered this
seems to be an Amish community. I believe their lack of electrical power
has kept the monsters form detecting them." he replied. "But in the end it
will only be a lack of time until they are found by the monsters and
destroyed." Adrien said. "Well shit man don't you think we should see if we
can save them?" I asked. "Obviously you don't know about Amish. They reject
techknowledgy and electrical power. They will most certainly reject our
offer of help as well." He said. "Yeah, but man we gotta try. I mean if
they don't have power then they probably don't know for sure what's
happening. I think we should at least try, come on man it can't hurt to." I
suggested. "Ok I guess if you think we should then we can. I don't think
Greyson will be too happy with us going to save others before his brother."
Adrien said. "True, but he's gonna haveto realize that getting his bro back
isn't going to be a cake walk. That's gonna take a lot of planning to do."
I pointed out. "Ok if we are going to do this then let's get ready to go."
Adrien said returning the hologram to a world view. 

I informed Cheech, AJ, and Phil of what was going on and they all wanted to
help out. I suggested that they stay behind and just Adrien and I go. AJ
gave Adrien a pair of his sunglasses to cover his alien eyes so they didn't
freak the Amish people out. Everyone wished us good luck as we got in our
work horse space ship. It took only a few minutes to get near Pennsylvania
so we slowed to a much slower speed to get an idea of the destruction that
was caused in this area. Much like many times before most of the building
we saw were collapsed or damaged badly. There were a lot of barns in this
area since it was mostly farmland and they were almost all leveled to the
ground. "You sensing anything?" I asked him since I wasn't picking up on
any thoughts nearby. "Yes faintly so we must be drawing closer." He
replied. We followed along and found a rare sight, a small horse standing
in the middle of a field all alone. "Holy shit dude look!" I said pointing
to it. "Let's land and check it out. If we don't those damn things are
going to find it and kill it." I said. Adrien reluctantly agreed and landed
in the field near the pony. He used his advanced powers to go invisible and
I put on the new personal cloaker before we walked out. We cautiously
walked up to the horse and I was horrified to see wounds on it's sides and
back. "Adrien we have to help it. Those wounds are bad it might not live if
we don't help." I told him with my mind. "I agree for once." He said. He
tuned his thoughts into the horse's and told it we were friendly and that
we wanted to help it. The horse let out a labored naying sound so we knew
it was in pain then. He put his hand on it's head then and he could feel
the pain the pony was in. "It is in pain. The wounds are some what infected
and causing pain to the animal." He thought to me. He thought to the horse
again and it turned and began to walk towards the ramp to the ship. We got
it inside and secured it in the cargo area. "Wish we had Donnie with us for

air and headed back towards our intended destination. As we drew closer I
could sense the thoughts of others getting stronger and stronger. Finally
we came upon a small village and almost all of the homes were
destroyed. "Look!" I pointed to people on the ground chopping wood and
tending a small garden. We landed in a field close by and Adrien set the
cloak to let the ship be visible, but unseen by the monsters sensors. The
people all looked in horror and began to run towards a set of doors in the
ground that looked like a storm cellar. "Fuck we scared them, that's all we
needed." I said frustrated. We left the ship this time with no cloaks on
and walked over to the door and knocked on it. "Hello, please we're not
monsters or aliens, we're human. We just figured out how to make the ship
work and we stole it. Please don't be afraid of us." I said loudly outside
the door. "Be gone demons of Satan." A voice from a man yelled
inside. "Dude we're not demons we are human. Look for yourself." I yelled
again. A small opening in the big doors opened and I could see an eye
peeking through it. "See we're not monsters, we're human." I said. I heard
a latch click on the door and it slowly opened. A man appeared from inside
with a hay fork in his hands pointing at us. "Back up dude their scared." I
told Adrien. We backed away and the man slowly came outside. "See we're
human." I said again. The man wasn't totally convinced and didn't drop his
guard yet. Some more people came out slowly and I could sense they were all
scared. "I'm not a monster I'm human. My name is Derrik and he's Adrien. We
mean you no harm. All we wanted to do was help you." I stated. "How do we
know that for sure?" the man said. "Look I know you have no reason to trust
us. And I also know that you have been through a lot. The same things that
did this to your village did the same to my home. All I am trying to do is
survive and help others to survive to." I told them. "There is no helping
in this time. This is Armageddon and the day of judgement is upon us." The
older man said. "Sir that is only partially true. Please allow me to try to
explain." I begged him. "Proceed." He said never letting the fork down. I
told him of what we knew and what would happen if they stayed, but he
wasn't buying it. "Lies all lies! The lord has decided that end of days is
now and so it shall pass!" he yelled before lunging at me with the hay
fork. I tried to dodge the blow but he did get me a bit. One of the forks
grazed the side of my right arm cutting it. "Owww! Stop!" I yelled. I put
my hand over the wound to cover it. When I pulled it away to see how bad I
was hurt the people gasped and the man finally lowered the hay fork. "He is
telling the truth. His blood is as red as ours." A younger guy said. "Yeah
that's what I been telling you." I said now on the verge of tears from the
pain. He had gashed my arm deeply and I was bleeding pretty bad. "Mother
fetch the bandages and hot water." The man with the fork said to who I
would assume was his wife. She ran off and the man apologized. "Please
accept my apologies. We have been plagues by creatures of hell these last
months. They have killed many of our family and friends and almost all of
our animals. Please understand my cautiousness. I am sorry for harming
you." the man said. The woman came back and began to wipe the blood20off my
arm. I wanted to scream from the pain she was giving me from wiping the
wound down, but I kept inside. She wiped some kind of mush on my wound then
began to wrap it in a cloth bandage. It hurt like hell, but I would live
till we got home then I could fix it better. 

The man who we learned was the village elder invited us to the underground
room they fled into earlier to talk. Everyone else joined us and I looked
around the room. There were a few older people, a few men and women that
looked to be around my parent's age, and 10 boys and girls from like 6 to
15. Adrien and I laid down what info we could to them about the invasion
and what was going to happen to them if they decided to stay here. "If it
is god's will we shall die then that is what shall be." The elder man
said. We tried our best to talk them into coming with us but the older man
and the other men and women agreed with him. After a bit of trying to talk
sense into them we gave up and decided to leave. We all left the confines
of the under ground room and went back out side. Most of them went back to
doing what they were doing before they saw us. The elder man wished us good
bye and apologized once more for hurting me. We walked back to the ship and
were just about to walk inside when we heard a voice from behind. "Please
take us with you." we heard. We turned around to see two boys standing
there. One looked to be about 12 and the other about 8 or 9. "Say that
again." I asked. The older boy looked over his shoulder then back to us,
"Please take us with you!" he begged. "I thought the old guy said you were
all staying here." I said. "Yes I heard him, but we don't wish to
stay. Please may we come with you?" he begged again. "Jacod, Timothy come
away from there and get back to your chores." The elder man yelled to the
boys. "Please!" the older boy begged again. "Are you positive? Because if
we say yes your whole lives are going to change." I told them. The older
boy looked back to the older man who yelled once more then back to me and
nodded. "And you?" I asked the younger kid. He nodded yes after looking to
the other boy. "Ok get in quick." I told them. They ran inside and the man
yelled at them again, "Jacob! Timothy! No that isn't the lord's way!" he
yelled. Adrien closed the hatch and cloaked the ship invisible again. The
man stood there astonished to see us vanish before his eyes. "Devils! I
knew it!" he yelled. I sat the two boys down and told them to strap in as I
took my position by Adrien. The two boys looked around marveled at what
they were seeing. Being Amish they had never seen anything like it in their
lives. "Come on dude let's get out of here my arm hurts like hell." I
said. The boys gasped as we lifted off the ground and they saw the earth
disappear beneath us on the viewer. "Like I said guys your whole lives are
about to change." I told them. "Is what you told us true? Will we be safe
from the demons?" the older boy asked. "Demons? You mean the aliens? Yeah
pretty much. We have made it this far and they haven't got us yet." I told
him. He sighed a little relief then knowing he may have made the right
decision after all. "So why did you guys want to leave so bad?" Adrien
asked. "Our parents met their doom at the hands of the dem.. aliens. The
elders and other families of the village have been taking care of us since
then. From what you have told us if we had stayed then we would be joining
our parents soon. I would rather much live my life more before that time
comes." The older kid said. "Ok so you guys are Jacob and Timothy? Which is
which?" I asked. "I am Jacob and this is my brother Timothy." The older kid

since our parents were taken from us." Jacob said. "No shit! Wow he hasn't

the ocean I told them, "Ok guys there's the Atlantic ocean." They watched
in awe as we glided above it moving at high speed. "Ok guys I don't know if
you have ever read about the islands out here, but I'm sure you know about
paradise. Well this place we're going to is the closest thing to it that I
have ever seen." I told them. "Derrik we must warn the others that we have
found survivors of a, sensitive, nature." Adrien told me with his
mind. "Yeah you're right. When we land you stay in here with them and I'll
go out and tell every one what's up and to get some clothes on." I
replied. Just as I thought that we slowed down and were coming up on the
northern tip of Paradise Island. "Welcome to Paradise Island guys. That's
actually the places real name. We'll be at our area shortly." I told
them. "Passing through cloak shield now." Adrien said. After that point we
flew on for a little ways before we got home. "Wow man that shield does go
out quite a way." I noticed. Adrien uncloaked the ship and landed in the
spot near the power shed. That's what we call the area we keep the power
system. I noticed some of the guys run out and luckily they had shorts and
shirts on. "Looks like the talk we had before we left worked." I thought to
Adrien. It was weird to see them dressed for a change. They were waving at
us and jumping up and down as we landed. "Those people all live here?"
Jacob asked. "Yup. There is some more around some place." I told
him. Adrien turned the ships systems off and opened the hatch. "Welcome
home guys." I said to Jacob and Timothy. "Ok you stay with Adrien for a
minute and I'll be right back." I told them. I ran out to tell the others
the news and how to act around them for now. "Donnie come here a sec." I
asked the lil guy. "What?" he said with a silly voice. "I got you a
present." I replied. "Really! Cool!" he chimed. I took his hand and led him
to the injured pony in the cargo hold. "Wow a pony! You got me a pony!" he

stuff so I think it's best you help take care of it." I told him. "Thanks
Derrik!" he said jumping up and hugging me. "Not so fast hot rod, its

little guy. He ran off to find Alicia and I walked out to the others. They

old man. Second we brought 2 people back with us. Their kids and their
Amish. If you don't know what that means they were raised really

telling everyone. "They don't know much about what has happened in the
world so bear with them till they do know. They haven't been around people

seemed anxious to meet the new arrivals and intrigued at their being

as they followed behind me. They emerged at the exit of the ship and saw
everyone standing there looking at them. "Everybody this is Jacob and his

greeting them. "On behalf of me and every body else here, I'd like to tell

walked away I told Adam I'd talk to him in a little while.

I took the Amish boys to a smaller bungalow close to the main building
where they would be staying from now on. "Ok guys I know you are use to
simpler settings and needs, but this place is a high dollar luxury resort
for rich people to vacation at. Basically I think you'll like the place." I

cartoons were in it. "Look guys I told you your lives were about to
change. I don't want you to feel like you're betraying your religion or
anything, but you have these things like power now so you should just
adjust and go with the flow." I told them. "Truthfully I have read the
bible front to back. I do believe in the lord, but I just never understood
why our people shunned your peopled ways. So far I don't see the big deal."
He replied. "Great. I think you two will fit in just fine. Now there are
some things you should know about this place and the people here. So far
the only ones living here you have already seen outside. Now the things you
should know I don't really know if you'd understand or not." I tried to
explain. "I will keep an open mind." Jacob said. "Ok that's good, but what
about your brother?" I asked. "Timothy will basically do what I say. It has
been tough on him since we lost our parents. He doesn't really grasp the
concept of how our people lived yet." He explained. "Ok good, now don't

we usually wear. Since we're all just kids here and we don't really care

kind of bit my lip and nodded. "That is no problem it is how god created us
all. Our mother use to bathe us when we needed it in a metal wash tub. She

them to the bathroom that had a big bath tub, a separate shower, a sink,
and a toilet. They were amazed at how big it was. "Wow I have never
imagined anything like this." Jacob said. I turned on the bath tub and they
were both in awe of it. Apparently they had never seen running water like
this before. "Ok guys you can get cleaned up in here when ever you want to
from now on." I told them. It didn't take any more than that to convince
them to strip the dull black pants and dirty white shirts off then their
