Chapter 13

“So mom, I've been wondering, when are you transferring the office home. Because I thought you would've by now?” Kai asked the next morning before school, Denise was just getting ready to head out.

“I thought I told you that already.” Denise said in confusion, trying to think back on it.

“Nope, don't think so.”

“Oh, sorry then. Yeah, I'll be moving the office to here next weekend, the movers were unable to get to me 'til then, and I really don't feel like moving it all myself, it's just not what I'm into, I'd rather pay someone else to do it.”

“Oh, makes sense I suppose. Did you have to pay an extra months lease payment?”

“No, but if I had to stay past next week, I would have had to, not that I can though, because the next person moves in on Monday, so I have no choice but to be gone. If the movers had been unable to come and do the move, I would've had to find someone else to come and do it for me, or we'd have had to do it ourselves, but they did a good job, and it wasn't a big deal waiting the extra week.”

“Oh, that's good. I bet you can't wait 'til you get to just get up half an hour before your first patient and walk across the house to get to work.”

“You have no idea.” Denise groaned.

“After the amount of times I've had to practically kick you out of the house to get to work on time, yeah, I think I do.” Kai laughed.

“Yeah, you probably do.” Denise had to laugh as well.

“Speaking of kicking you out of the house, go, you're gonna be late.”

“Yeah yeah, I know. Speaking of late, aren't you supposed to be in hockey this morning boys?” Denise all of a sudden realized it was Monday and that the boys should not even be there.

“No, practice was rescheduled for after school this week because Mitch was going to be busy in the mornings, this week, so asked us to do it in the afternoons.”

“Oh, you never mentioned that to me.”

“Wasn't important, and to tell you the truth, I wondered how long it'd take you to notice.” Kai laughed.

“You're a brat.”

“Thanks.” Kai grinned. “Now go, you have a patient who needs you waiting for you.” He grinned.

“Yes baby.” Denise teased.

The others just laughed, but before too long, Denise really did have to go, and the boys too had to be going. They all headed out for their days, and before they knew it, the boys were at school. It was lunch time for the boys when Nick told them all some news, good or bad depended on who you asked.

“So, guess what guys, I did what you told me to do yesterday Kai.” Nick said happily as soon as they sat down with their food.

“Oh really, what happened?” Kai asked.

“Well, when I got home, I went to my room to put all my stuff away, and then I stripped down to just my diaper and headed out to the living room. My parents weren't home yet, they'ad went shopping in the morning, and left my sister at home. She snickered about the fact that I came out in only a diaper. So, I asked her if she had a problem with it, and she said yes. I told her that's fine, but it was her problem, so she could deal with it or shut up. She started to tease me and I just snapped at her that she was to shut up, and she said or what. I then coldly told her that with as much as I wanted to hit her right then, she really should shut up, and that I was far stronger than she was, that if I hit once, I'd hit a hundred times, and with no one there to pull me off, she might die, because I might not stop. Once again I'd instinctively balled up my fists and I'd went really red and started shaking again in rage, and she saw that I was not going to take anything from her. She actually apologized.”

“Wow, that's really good. Did you talk to her after that?” Kai asked softly.

“Yeah, I told her that I knew that she was a slut that slept around with anyone that had a dick, and how I was afraid that one day she'd have to come home and tell us how she had some horrible disease or was going to be a mom, or worse yet both because of it. I told her how I hated her so much because of the way she's treated me my entire life, but that I was sick of it and that I wasn't gonna put up with it any more, and that if she insisted on teasing me all the time, that I was going to make her life every bit as miserable as she was making mine. At first she had no idea what to say, but then she asked how. One word to all that I said, and that was how. I mean, I knew she wasn't smart, but one bloody word.”

“So, I asked her how what, how did I know she was a slut, how did I know she was going to get pregnant and or get a disease, or how I was going to make her miserable if she continued making me so as well. She just said all of it. I told her that I'd heard more than a few older boys talking about her, seen her sneaking out of the house and hopping into older boys' cars, and that there were more than a few rumors going around about her as to her availability. I told her that if she continued living like that, that it was inevitable that she'd get pregnant or get a disease, no matter how well protected she thought she was. Next I told her that her misery would depend on mine, and that I was more than smart enough to figure out some sort of suitable punishment for her.”

“How did she react to that?” Kai asked.

“She didn't really, she didn't even say anything. So, I just started talking and talking, I told her everything that I hated about her, how I felt that she was miserable, how I felt that she felt about our parents love towards us and how I felt she'd been treating them. For more than an hour I just sat there and told her all my feelings, not even letting her say anything, not that she tried mind you. I finished off just before our parents got home, telling her that she had to change her ways or suffer, and that if she wanted to talk to me more about it that she could come and talk to me, and I turned and walked away.”

“Very good Nick, I bet you feel better.” Kai smiled.

“Lots actually. She actually came to my room last night and talked to me like a human being for almost an hour. She said lots and lots to me, but I won't tell you all of it, mostly because it'd bore you all, and really, you probably don't want to know my sisters thoughts, they were pretty weird. Suffice it to say that she's pretty screwed up in the head, and I think she should talk to your mom Kai.”

“Oh, that bad huh?”

“Yeah, I think so. Could you set it up please?” Nick asked.

“Sure thing.” Kai smiled.

After that they had not much time left, so they finished their last few bites, and just as they were finishing up, the bell rang, so they cleaned up quickly and headed to class. The rest of the day went quickly, and before they knew it, Steven was there to pick them up as he had arranged with them to take them to hockey. They would pick Daniel up on their way past, he was skipping his tutoring today and on the other days this week as well, but was going to make up for it on the weekend.

They got to hockey on time, and went in and got changed. Before too long they were on the ice, skating and drilling hard, Mitch really pushing the boys now that he knew they could take it, and they seemed to relish it as well. Now that they had a taste of teamwork and winning, they were all really seeming to try harder. Mitch did warn them about being too cocky, and practicing until it got to the point where they disliked hockey, because he wanted them to all play for their love of hockey, nothing else. He ended up keeping the boys for almost half an hour extra, since they did not have to stop and go as soon as they normally had to, and they had no problems with it. A couple of the parents asked him not to do it again, but the boys pretty much glared at them and told them to get lost if they ever suggested it again, Mitch laughed to himself, but assured them it would not happen again.

The boys all headed into the change room and got cleaned, diapered and dressed, or just cleaned and dressed, and then they all headed out. Steven got the boys home quickly, and then they sat down to eat dinner, because Denise had it almost ready for them as soon as they walked in.

“Hey mom, do you think you could help Nick's sister out free of charge? Their parents can't afford to send her to a psychiatrist, but from the way it sounds, she really needs your help.”

“Sure baby. What do you know so far?”

“Not much, only that she sleeps around a lot and Nick seems to think she's pretty messed in the head. He didn't want to go into it too much, probably for the best, but given all that he's said to us about her, he's probably right.”

“Okay, give him one of my cards and have him tell his parents to call me and set it all up.”

“Will do mom, thanks.”

For the rest of the evening, they did not much else but sit back and relax as a family, an odd family yes, but a family none the less. The rest of the week also seemed to fly by for the boys, because they were so busy, but they had fun too, plenty of it in fact. The next day Kai did give Nick one of Denise's cards, and the day after that Nick said that his sister was going to see Denise the following week. The boys had been informed that they had two games that weekend, one against another team that had been pretty good the year before, but according to research, they had been getting exceedingly hard to beat as well. They too apparently had a couple new players and had become the team to beat. The other team though was ranked somewhere around the middle, so they never knew what was going to happen there. During Friday's practice, the boys all worked hard once again, Mitch pushing them to be their best, but to still enjoy the game.

“Okay boys, here we are. Now remember, this team has been doing just as well as you have been, and it'll be a fight I'm sure to keep the score even. I went and watched them last night, and they're good, very good. That doesn't mean however that you can't still beat them, it just might be harder to do than the last couple. With that being said though, I don't really care if you win or lose, only whether you go out there and play with your hearts and remember your love of the game.” Mitch told the boys once they were all gathered on the bench.

“You got it Coach.” The boys all said happily.

They headed onto the ice as soon as they were given the all clear, their starting lineup of course only, but soon the whistle was blown, and like Mitch said, it was a fight. It seemed the two teams were very evenly matched. They both skated from the first period with two goals, and while it was a really good hard hitting game, there was no brutality at all, in fact there had yet to be even one penalty for either team. They would all walk away with a few bruises, but it was not considered a good game if you did not walk away with a few goals and bruises. Second period come on like a tidal wave, and every boy there played like they loved the game, which is what both coaches were trying to teach their boys. Each team managed to score one goal, and once again, it was a really close call the entire period, there was rarely a minute that went by where the puck did not exchange teams at least twice, they were all really pushing for the win.

Their third period started, and it became a four goal tie early on when the challenging team scored, then the boys scored not even ten seconds later, and that was the score they finished their last period with. They went into overtime, and you could tell that the boys were all pushing hard for it, but in the end, at nearly the very last second, the opposing team came out of nowhere and slipped the puck just past the goalie for the winning goal. The entire place was going insane, it had been bar none the best game any of them had ever seen any of their boys play, in fact it was every bit as good as any game any of them had ever seen played before at all.

“Wow boys, you may have lost tonight, but that was a win in my books. Excellent game.” Mitch congratulated the boys.

“Thanks Coach. Can we skate over and congratulate the other team?” Kai asked for them all.

“Go for it, they're still on their bench.”

The boys all removed their helmets to show they were all good and sweaty, and then they all hit the ice and skated toward the opposite side to their opponents bench. As they arrived, all the others stood, also removing their helmets.

“We wanted to congratulate you guys on a very well played game, and thanks for really pushing us to do our best. That was the closest game we've ever played.” Kai said, he had been elected silently to do the talking.

“Thanks, you guys played really well out there as well. No one's been able to give us a really good fight yet, but we were starting to think we weren't gonna win it, you guys were just too good.” The captain of their team smiled proudly.

“We were thinking the same, you guys were really good out there.” Kai laughed.

“Yeah, well we're all playing a lot better. Last year we won a few but lost most. I don't recognize you, so you must be new to the team as well as a few of the boys and the coach on our team. We got a couple new boys who are pretty damn good, and our coach has been really driving team work.”

“Yeah, I'm new, the only new player, but I know teamwork and have been teaching these guys that. If we all make it to the final game though, it's gonna be a really tough game, 'cause I'd have to say we're pretty evenly matched.” Kai smiled.

“I'll say. Well, thanks for coming over, we should go change.”

“No prob, but so should we, so have a good night.”

“You too.” He said, and they all shook hands and congratulated each other again.

“Very well done boys, very sportsmanlike. It's those types of actions that show your true character.” Mitch smiled happily to the boys.

“It's only right, they beat us fair and square, we were almost even in every way, and they deserved the win every bit as much as we did.” Kai said honestly.

“That they did. It wasn't even a lucky shot or a bad move on the goalies part, it was sound, and no one could possibly say there was anything any goalie could have done to save it, it just snuck right in there. Had he have been off by as little as one centimeter, it would have been stopped, but it was the perfect shot. No, you boys played beautifully out there tonight, every bit as much as I'd expect from boys who love the game and give it their hearts. Now, go get changed, you all need to get home and get some rest, because you have another game tomorrow.”

“Thanks Coach.” The boys all said, and they headed towards their change room, talking happily as they went.

The boys were all congratulated by their parents after they had cleaned up and gotten dressed and packed up and coming out. Yes, the final score had said they lost, but when a game is played that hard and they were almost totally even in every way the entire way, how could you say that you really truly lost. They knew the next time they faced that team that it was going to be even harder to beat them, but they were certain that they were going to have a really good game too, and maybe they would win. They would not face that team though again unless they made it to the finals, which Mitch sure seemed to think they would. Everyone went home, and when the boys got there, they separated to their bedrooms and after a little pressure relief, they went to bed, tired but happy.

Their game the next afternoon was also a good one, but nowhere near as challenging as the previous nights game was. They won, with a final score of five to two, and the other team took two penalties, and two of their players took good bruises from them as well. They all celebrated their win, all of them very happy. It was however a very tiring day for the boys, because they had went to ballet class, and had to leave half an hour early to make it to their hockey game, so they spent a little over three hours working hard in dance, and then went and spent about an hour more working hard again on the ice, but at least they had a few good rests during that time. They ended up going for a late dinner after the game, because they were all hungry and it was well passed what they considered to be a good dinner time.

“You boys did amazing this weekend, congratulations.” Steven said to the boys as they were sitting there waiting for their food.

“Thanks. We're tired, and we're sore, but I bet the others feel about as good as I do.” Daniel smiled.

“For sure.” They said.

“That's really good. Last nights game was an edge of your seat the entire time sort of game, the perfect type if you ask me, and in a game like that, there really are no winners or losers. This afternoon though you boys soundly stomped the other team, and you took not even one penalty, which is impressive to say the least. Especially if you take into consideration last season the team had the lowest score but the highest penalty rating, which was really bad. Daniel, you alone took highest penalty count in the entire league, which is not a good thing, but you haven't taken one penalty at all this year, which is awesome. Sure, hockey is all about hitting, I don't see any reason to ever remove it, as long as you teach it properly, a good check just makes the game better, but now you're all doing it properly, not taking cheap shots and such. You should be proud of yourselves to say the least.” Steven said happily.

“Thanks in no small part to Kai of course.” Daniel smiled towards Kai.

“I may have helped you to all pull your heads out of your butts, but you had to do the most work to do it all. All of you had all the talent that you needed to do it, you just needed to play as a team.” Kai pointed out.

“You know, given how hard it was to pull my head out of my ass, I actually might have to agree with you.” Daniel laughed.

“Yeah, why do you think you cried so much, it's hard to do.” Kai said honestly.

“I'll say.” Daniel said, and the other two had to agree as well.

A few moments later their food came, and given just how hungry the boys were, they devoured their meal with barely a sound more, until they were finished eating, but that was to only ask for dessert, something Kai so very rarely did, but he was still hungry, and he admitted it did sound good. Not even he was used to going so long and so hard on so little food. Of course the parents were only too happy to splurge on dessert for the boys, and they each took one, the largest and most horribly fattening one they had, and each of them very nearly licked their dishes clean once they were finished. Once satisfied, they headed home for the night, and the boys just laid back in the hot tub for a bit to relax before going to bed. They were all so tired though that they did not even play any before passing out.

A few days later Nick was sitting with the boys at a table during lunch, talking happily.

“My sister went and saw your mom yesterday for her first time Kai, and she said it was one of the hardest things she'd ever done. She was there for four hours, and your mom made her admit everything, and then they just talked and talked and my sister said that she actually feels a bit better.” Nick told them.

“That's really good. Mom said that she had seen your sister for a few hours, and she said she agreed with you that she really needed to come see her, and that messed up was being too kind. You and your parents are likely going to have to come with her to a session pretty soon, it seems she has some pretty interesting things to say to you all, but she's not ready for it yet.”

“I don't doubt it, but she was actually nice to me yesterday and this morning, something that's rare at best, even nicer than she has been since I told her everything last week. It actually almost made me cry.” Nick admitted.

“Yeah, but you're such an emotional little baby boy.” Kai giggled.

“That I am.” Nick grinned.

“So, is she actually talking at home yet?”

“Not so much, but nor is she yelling and screaming, so that's good. No, she's hardly even talked much in the past week since I told her off pretty much, and after her big appointment with your mom, she's hardly talked at all. She's really messed up, isn't she?”

“I don't know all the details, but the impression I got is yes. My mom will help her out though, don't worry. And if she can't, then there's probably no one that can, even me, but I don't do well with the girls, I just can't relate to them.” Kai said truthfully.

“Me neither.” The others all said.

Shortly after that they all had to head back to class, but they had a good day, and before too long, they were heading home for the afternoon. The next day was hockey practice, and this week and for the rest of their training, it was once again in the morning, the way they preferred it really. Kai asked the guys to come and spend the night Saturday night, and to arrive at about four thirty, so that they had time to make it home from dance. They had a game Friday night again, so it was pointless for them to do it that night.

Friday nights game went really well, it was another close game, but the boys won with a score of four to three in regulation time, and they only got one penalty, their first of the season in fact, and it was an accident more than anything, but a penalty none the less. That however was nothing compared to the four the other team took.

Saturday morning the boys did their regular routine, workout in the morning and then for afternoon they went to dance, and they danced their hearts out, Dianne attempting to teach the kids a new dance that she had come up with for them, it was to really outline the boys well, because they were doing so good, and the girls got more the support role in the dance. Dianne had to tell them it was a change, because normally it was the other way around, but now she had a chance to showcase the boys, and they should be happy for them, all because the girls seemed to get their noses out of joint because the boys seemed to get most of the major parts in it. After having it explained to them fully why, they seemed to be okay, but they still wanted to be in the spotlight more. It took Dianne every minute of their four hours to teach them the dance, and told them that next weekend they would have to perform it flawlessly at the end of their class, so they had to practice. Since the boys could all practice together, they would be able to do so easily, and they did not need the girls with them, because they hardly had to touch the girls in this dance, and then during class they could all work together to perfect it.

“Finally, we're home. Man, this week has been another killer, hasn't it?” Owen sighed when they stumbled into the house to find Steven and Daniel in only their diapers on the couch, looking as if they had been freshly cleaned as well.

“Yeah. I'm getting fried to say the least.” Kenny groaned, and Daniel nodded his agreement.

“Even I'm getting tired. It's been a lot of work to keep up to everything, but it's really starting to show on you guys how much better you're doing. You're all starting to show even more definition, but you're all getting a little leaner too.” Kai said honestly.

“Yeah, Steven was telling me the same thing yesterday, we ended up standing in front of the mirror in only our diapers with him behind me, and he was stroking my chest, saying how much nicer it's looking lately. I hate to say it, but all the work you're doing with us is actually increasing my abilities.” Daniel grinned.

“Now if only you'd join dance with us. You're doing really good with everything.” Kai attempted yet again.

“No thanks Kai, and you know the reasons. I can't afford to cancel a couple days of tutoring, it's helping so much, and I just don't really care for it that much. I'll work with you guys and do all the stretches, just because it's really helping me in hockey, but I just can't do dance.” Daniel said honestly.

“Yeah, I know, but I think you'd do really well at it. I agree though, you can't really afford to give up those couple hours of tutoring. I'd never seen you smile more than yesterday when you came home yesterday showing off your very first aced test, I bet it felt even better than you really were able to say.” Kai smiled warmly.

“That it did. Even though I wasn't with you guys at dance though, I did work out really hard, Steven and I went downstairs and we worked out for three hours together. I hope I worked every bit as hard as you guys did, but now I'm tired and sore. I hope the guys wanna go swimming as soon as they get here, which should be any minute now.”

“Me too.” The others had to agree, because a nice cool dip and then a nicer relaxing soak in the hot tub would be much appreciated they all thought.

“So, is Nick coming tonight as well Owen, you never told us if he could make it?” Kai asked.

“Oh yeah, he said he'd be here a little after five, he wanted to have dinner with his family first and then he'd come over and stay 'til tomorrow before dinner.” Owen answered, having forgot to mention it.

“That's nice.” Kai smiled.

A few minutes later all the guys from hockey showed up, and when it was mentioned that a nice swim and soak might be a good idea, they were all for it, so they headed right out to the pool house, stripping as they went and showered quickly before slipping into the pool. They all swam and played lazily in the pool for about half an hour before they all went and laid back in the hot tub.

“So, how are you guys feeling, you're all looking pretty tired?” Chris asked.

“Yeah, we're feeling it too.” Daniel answered.

“You should all take a break before you wear yourselves out completely.”

“Yeah, we know, that's what tomorrow's for actually, hence the reason you guys are here. As far as I'm concerned, there's not even gonna be a workout in the morning.”

“Even though we should, I agree, even I'm starting to get pretty worn out.” Kai agreed.

“Good. I did that once when I was trying to work through all the shit in my life and landed in the hospital for a few days because I'd passed out and everything. The doctors actually thought I'd had a heart attack or something. I had to tell them all about what I'd done and everything, they just said that I'd worked so hard my body had physically shut down to get the rest it needed, because I wasn't taking it.”

“Wow, and here I thought I worked hard.” Kai said in amazement.

“Yeah, but you probably still workout more in one day than I did that entire week as I was doing that, I just wasn't used to it. I don't know how you do it though, I eat like twice as much as you do, even then, and I have no idea how you have enough energy to do all that you do.”

“Mostly because I eat all the right foods, foods that provide good long term energy without causing my blood sugar to spike and plummet. I eat huge amounts of fresh fruits and vegetables, little grains and meats, but still lots of protein foods. It's not all that uncommon for me to sit back and eat five or six pieces of fruit for a snack, and dinner is usually a large salad. Granted, my large salad is about as much as you eat in half your meal, only I usually snack at least twice between meals, usually fruit or raw vegetables.”

“You sound like a rabbit.” Chris laughed.

“Yeah, but have you ever seen a fat rabbit, and how fast can they go and how high can they jump.” Kai pointed out simply.

“Oh, now there's a point I just can't argue.” Chris laughed after a few seconds of trying to come up with some form of a witty comeback.

The others just laughed as well, because Kai was once again just too correct.

“Good, because it's really true. I rarely ever eat sweets, they're just not good for you, but every so often one is nice. I never eat preprocessed foods though, you could eat a hundred sweets and it would be better for you, at least a hundred home made ones anyway. At least I try never to, 'cause like I said, they're just not good for anyone, no matter what. I also don't eat a lot of meat, and even less red meat. Every so often though I do crave it, and that's my body telling me that I need it, and you do need it, on occasion, just not all the time. Most people think my diet's boring, but I never have the same thing every day, even if I do have a salad almost every day, they're different every day, every time I make one. No, I've eaten like this every day of my life, and I wouldn't be able to change now, because most likely if I were to go and eat at McDonalds or something like that, I'd probably go into shock or something like that. I certainly wouldn't tell you guys, or anyone for that matter that they had to take on my diet, but I'd certainly urge you to be more careful of what you're eating, stop all the crap, if you can't even read the ingredients because they're all lab names, then it's not good for you.”

“Oh, I never knew that. What about all those health foods my mom eats, they all have really hard names in them, but the doctors say they're good for you?” Chris asked curiously.

“Hah, now there's a joke, and a conspiracy if I ever heard it. I doubt a real doctor has ever been asked, at least any doctor who'd dare go against those companies, because trust me, those supposed health foods with more chemicals than real products are about as good for you as eating a bag of sugar.”

“Really, you think so?”

“I'd say I know so, but having not done all the research myself, I say I only think so.”

“So in other words, that's better than most peoples knowing so.” Chris nodded, and the others all had to agree.

“You can believe that if you wish, but I wouldn't trust it completely either, it is however how I feel, and what I suggest for everyone.” Kai said humbly, once again.

“Is that why you're so much smaller than the rest of us, even though you're the same age?” Ian asked.

“Hard to say why I'm so tiny in comparison, but I'm pretty much right in the average for my height, so I doubt it. It's more than likely my better than average diet and all the work that I do that's made me so lean. Granted, I also don't eat any meats or any other products that have had any sort of growth hormones used in them, we eat all natural grain fed meats, no drugs at all, except for certain things of course. My guess is a lot of you eat a lot of standard chicken that you buy at the grocery store, and they all have so many growth hormones it's not even funny. The stupid thing is, they'll ban them from the Olympics and other sporting events, but they'll feed them to our chickens. That one I can almost guarantee has something to do with kids being a lot bigger nowadays than they ever used to be, and maturing at least a full two years early. Of course, no government agency or anyone else either mind you, would ever say anything of the sort, there's absolutely no correlation between them you see.” Kai laughed.

“Yikes, now you're making me afraid of what I eat.” Ian laughed.

“Don't be afraid, be very afraid.” Kai giggled.

“Oh yeah, that makes me feel lots better.”

“It was meant to. The funny thing is that about two years ago I started a website all about that very sort of thing, how the food we ate was designed in its whole to make a fatter and stupider population, to pretty much make us into animals ourselves, and it was shut down three times before I decided that more than enough people had seen it. No one ever said anything to me, no one ever told me why, nothing, just there one day, gone the next. It took a few weeks between each one starting and ending, so they didn't catch it right away, but I got millions of hits each time, and obviously it scared someone enough to demand it be removed by my ISP. Clearly though they had no legal right to do so, hence the reason nothing was ever said. I didn't make any noise, because I knew I had hit the right buttons and got more than a few people talking about it, and I'll do so again eventually, and see how fast they do it this time. Or maybe they'll actually try and arrest me, now that would be fun.” Kai giggled.

“You know, I don't even doubt that you're right in your assumptions, but be careful of conspiracy theories, too many people have ended up in jail to be forgotten about when they say the wrong things to the right, or depending on how you look at it the wrong people. Remember, there's people out there that'll fabricate any evidence they need for any alleged crime to shut you up.” Kenny warned.

“Yeah, I know, but I'm not exactly stupid, I always have a backup plan, for just such an emergency.” Kai grinned.

“And I'm sure I don't want to hear about it.” Kenny said.

“No, you probably don't.”

“Okay, I say we talk about something else now.” Kenny said.

“Like what?” Daniel asked.

“Hockey or something, just nothing about conspiracy theories, they give me the creeps.” Kenny answered.

“Why?” Kai asked curiously.

“Don't know, just do. I'm the kinda guy that thinks that the people who dream up these theories and end up being right always seem to end up very dead, and it always appears to be natural. No, nothing good comes from dredging up conspiracy theories.”

“Yeah, I can see your point, and there's been more than a few alleged situations like that, but of course, no one ever knows for sure if they're real or not. So, hockey it is, wow, what a game the other night.” Kai grinned.

The guys all laughed, and they started talking hockey, and for the next half an hour more, they relaxed in the hot tub, relaxing and joking around, just being the boys that they were. Finally they all got out and went and cleaned up, and then the diaper wearers slipped into something more comfortable, while the rest just slipped into their underwear, except two who went naked. They headed out to the living room and sat back and watched TV until dinner time, and then went and made it.

Denise and Steven had just been playing cards in the kitchen while the boys had their fun, and were actually a little surprised when the boys came in to make dinner. They did get up though and joined the boys in making everyone a nice dinner. It was a large salad with grilled chicken, a little brown rice, and a nice big bowl of fruit for dessert. Everyone did enjoy the dinner, and even though many thought they could eat more, they had ate all there was to eat, so they did not complain, just had more fruit than the others had. Nick joined them just as they were finishing up their dinner, and they caught up quickly as to what was happening, but there was not much happening on Nick's front, he said he had a pretty boring life. After dinner was cleaned up, they once again went back to the living room, only the adults joined them this time and they put in a movie to watch. When that was over, the diaper boys got changed, and then they all curled up on the living room floor, talked for a bit more, and then one by one, they all passed out.

As promised, the boys did not work out on Sunday at all, they swam a bit, they played a bit, but they did nothing at all strenuous, and they relaxed as much as they could get away with. They actually had a really nice relaxing day together, and since it was so miserable outside, they stayed inside for the entire time. They had lunch together, and then just before diner time, everyone gathered their things and got ready to go, and before too long, they were once again heading home.

After everyone left, Steven, Denise and the boys sat around the table in the kitchen and played board games for the rest of the night, stopping only to make and eat a light dinner. They played and talked and laughed for the rest of the night, which was an early one, because the boys were tired and they said they wanted to get to bed early, and they did too. Not one of the boys really even felt much like playing, and Kai and Kenny and Steven and Daniel just kissed each other tenderly for a few minutes before curling into each other and falling fast asleep.

The week went by quickly for the boys, they worked hard at everything, school, hockey, ballet and of course their own workouts, and once again, not too surprisingly, they were tired. They knew though that this weekend was going to make them more tired, because in ballet they had to practice their dance hard and then do it in front of all the parents, and then both Saturday and Sunday nights they had games. In fact they were going to have only half an hour to make it from ballet to their game, and they had to try and eat in that half an hour.

Even Daniel came with the boys and their parents Saturday to watch the dance when the time came for them to perform, while they were practicing though, he went with Steven and Denise and sat and had coffee. Dianne seemed pleased with the outcome of all the boys' practice, because they were doing nearly perfect. Kai was of course already anyway, but both Owen and Kenny were doing really well, every bit as good as the girls, and maybe even better. Today's class was only to gel the entire group and have them dancing fully as a team, and by the time that the parents were asked to be there for the performance, Dianne felt that they actually had it.

Slowly everyone filed in and took their seats, Dianne had set them up on one side for everyone to sit, and they did so. Once everyone was seated, she went to the center of the room, facing them and spoke. The students were currently in their change rooms, waiting for everyone to get there and for Dianne to introduce them.

“Now, as you all hopefully know, our class is now comprised of three boys, a rarity for any dance class sadly, and the two new students have been training hard, far harder than the two poor hockey boys had ever felt they could, for sadly yes, they were and still are in fact hockey players as well. I honestly didn't think they'd be able to stand the abuse that dance puts them through, because everyone knows how weak those supposed mens sportsmen really are, it's us dancers that hold the real strength. Amazingly enough though, not only did they take it, and continue to do so, in far less time than I thought possible, they've become quite good dancers, so I decided to devise a dance for them. Typically the male dancers are far outweighed by the female dancers, so in most cases the males end up playing the supporting roles, so for this dance, I reversed the roles, and the boys finally get to really take the spot light. Now, most of you've seen Kai dance before, and if you haven't, then you're really in for a shock, but you all know how beautifully he dances, so it was easy to make a dance that he could easily star in. At first my girls had a little issue with being seemingly pushed into the background, they're simply not used to that, they're always the stars of the performances, but occasionally it's nice to change things up a bit, so the girls get to play supporting today. I hope that everyone here enjoys the performance, the kids have all worked really hard on it, and I think you'll agree that while still relatively new to the whole dance scene, our two newest boys are doing amazingly well. Now, since this is an informal dance, no one was asked to dress up, so they're simply in their workout tights, but when I get stage time, we'll of course make this into a full dressed out performance. So, without further ado, I ask our dancers to enter and dance for you.” Dianne called out, and all eight students came out, and for the next several minutes, they danced their hearts out.

Owen and Kenny had both been extremely nervous while waiting in the change room, but Kai kept whispering to them to just quit thinking about it, close their eyes and breath deeply and forget about them all sitting out there. They did visibly relax, and when Dianne finally called them out, they were much more composed. They did hardly look at the small crowd gathered there to watch them, they just took their places as they were taught and then Dianne started the music, Josh Grobin's – You Raise Me Up, and they started dancing to that. It changed at the end to a faster paced classical piece, and then finished off with a soft almost haunting instrumental. To say the kids did an amazing job would be an understatement.

All the parents were very happy with the performance, and even though they had laughed at Dianne's jokes about hockey players, they did have to wonder how the boys could switch from such a sport to dance and so quickly be able to do something like they were expected to do, for all the girls had kept their parents up to date as to what had been happening without saying anything about how good the boys were doing. By the end of the dance though, they thought that the boys were every bit as good as every one of the girls there, if not better. They had all been witness to Kai dancing, and they all thought that he really was a beautiful dancer, but never had they seen him shine so much before now. Now he was featured far more, and the other two boys were there with him the entire time with the girls supporting them.

Once the music stopped and the boys rose from their crouched positions where they had stopped, the entire place rose and gave a standing ovation, and applauded for not less than three minutes. Dianne finally stood and walked in front of her students and asked for the audience to please be quiet for a moment.

“Thank you, your kindness in showing your children that you appreciated what they did was more than greatly received by the kids today. They did do a beautiful job, didn't they? Their practice has been paying off well. Now, you may all think that the boys only practice here, so how could they have learned so much so quickly, but the fact of the matter is, they now all live together, and they practice every single day, I'm told usually for a couple hours at least. That's how they've gotten so good. Now, as I understand it though, our boys really need to get going, because they have a hockey game that they need to get to and hopefully win, and yes, that includes Kai as well. He and his boyfriend Kenny decided to try each others sports, so now they both dance and play hockey, and so does Owen, who was also on the hockey team and was urged to come here as well. I'd like to invite everyone to the game, I know a few of you probably aren't that much into hockey, but at least a few of the fathers are I'm sure, and I'm assured by one of the parents of the boys that you'll never see a better hockey game, and the girls really should go and see their fellow dancers in action on the ice.” Dianne grinned.

Almost all the faces in the place fell at hearing all that. They never expected Kai to play hockey, every person in that room was not in the least surprised to hear that Kai had a boyfriend, they all knew he was gay, and he was more than a little girly. So how he could play hockey had been beyond their suspicions. Then again, hockey players dancing ballet had come as a bit of a surprise as well.

“Thanks Dianne, we appreciate it, and yes, sadly we must go get ready to play, and we still have to try and find a few minutes to eat, but we packed our food already, so that we can eat on the way. Once again we thank you for taking the time needed to make a dance that finally helped us boys to be the stars of a dance, we really appreciate it.” Kai stepped forward and smiled warmly.

“You're very welcome, and I'll be there with as many of the others as I can bring with me.” Dianne smiled and then urged all the dancers into their change rooms to clean and dress quickly.

The boys decided that they may as well forgo the showers, so just changed their clothes quickly and headed out. They really did not have all that much time before their game, and besides, whether they were sweaty or not made no real difference, because in just a few minutes more, they were going to be sweaty again, and they did not feel there was much point in washing up just to get dirty again, and like their hockey gear would even notice the little extra.

They headed out right away and met everyone outside the change rooms, and then they took off, Denise, Steven and Daniel telling the boys how well they thought they did, and they were happy. They hopped in the cars, once again having to take two, and headed out. The boys greedily started eating the salad and fruit that they had for their dinner, and when they made it to the rink, they stayed in the cars for a few minutes eating the last of their meal, such as it was. Once done and full, they headed inside with all their hockey gear so that they could get ready. They had only twenty minutes left before the beginning of the game, and they knew all the others would already be there and waiting for them to arrive.

“What took you guys so long?” Ben asked as they walked in, the others were already starting to get into their gear.

“We had a dance recital today, remember.” Kenny answered.

“Oh right, forgot about that, how did it go?”

“Really well, even I think we did great, and all the parents really liked it.” Kenny said proudly.

“That's because you did.” Daniel pointed out.

“Thanks.” All three boys said.

“Well, you better hurry and get ready, Coach wants us out there pretty quick, he just called in just before you arrived, yelling at us to hurry up in here.”

“We know, we'll hurry.” Daniel said.

And hurry they did, and as the others finished up, they even came over to help, so that they could get done faster yet. A few minutes later they were all geared up and ready to go, so the entire team walked out of their change room and to their bench. Mitch smiled as they walked up, and then stood up as they sat down.

“So good of you boys to finally show up. I trust your silly dance recital went well.” He sighed, but the boys could see that he was trying not to smile as he teased them.”

“Yeah, it did actually, thanks for asking.” Kai said, all upbeat, teasing Mitch right back.

“That's good. Now you have a real sport to play though, so get your game faces on.” Mitch laughed.

“Hah, now there's a laugh, we'll actually be working less hard now than we did for the last four hours.” Kai laughed even more.

“From hearing you boys speak, I have no doubts there. As always boys, all of you go out there and have fun, stay safe, and for crying out loud, play with your hearts. You have been all along this year, you've played better than you've ever played before. With tonight and tomorrow nights games, even if we managed to lose, we're all but guaranteed a final playoff spot, but if you manage to win it, then we're absolutely guaranteed. However, with that being said, I really don't care one way or the other if you do win or lose, I want you out there loving the game, playing with all your heart, and being the team that you finally found. We have only a few minutes left before first period starts, so sit back and relax for a few minutes, and then go out there and play your hearts out.” Mitch said to the boys.

“You got it Coach.” The boys all called out, far louder than he had spoken.

A few minutes later the game did start, and their starting lineup took the ice and took an early lead, because only thirty seconds into the game, Daniel got the chance to score, so took it soundly, the goalie never even saw the puck, it just happened so fast. That early lead stayed for their entire first period, and even though the other team sure tried hard, they never managed to keep the puck for more than just a few seconds, and in actual fact, they never even got it into the boys' end to get anywhere near the goal. They scored two more times in the first period, making it three nothing at the end of the first.

Second period started, and the opposing team went in hard, trying their damnedest to get a hold of the puck and take it to the net, but they just couldn't, they were woefully outmatched it seemed, they just could not seem to work together. The second period came with only two goals, making it five nothing, but it also came with two penalties, one against each team. The one against their team was an accidental check when Ben thought the boy he was checking had the puck when he did not, but it happens, thankfully he did not hit him hard, just tried to knock him out of the way enough to get the puck.

Third period came in with a flurry of activity, the opposing team was now trying their very best to at least make it so the game was not a shut out, they knew they could not win at this stage except for a miracle, but they did not want a shut out, so they started to up their playing. Sadly for them though it was just not enough, and even though they prevented much, they still ended up with one shot sailing into their net, right near the end, making the final score six nothing. The entire opposing team was seen to sump onto their bench as the final whistle blew, signaling the end of the game, and their complete and utter defeat. This time it was their teams captain that got up the courage to skate across the ice.

“Congratulations guys, that was one hell of a game you played. We've played against you many times before, and you've never beat us, but to totally shut us out like that, that was amazing. I don't know what you guys did to get so much better, but keep it up.” He said softly to them, he was the only one, the rest of the team just did not feel up to getting their noses rubbed in their loss.

“Thank you, you all played really well as well.” Kai said warmly.

“Thanks, but somehow I don't think we played all that well, not when the final score is six nothing.”

“Yeah, but who cares about the score. Did you all play with your hearts for the love of the game?”

“Not sure about the others, but I did.” He answered honestly.

“Then you won every bit as much as we did. We don't care about the score really, we play because we love to, it's fun and good for us, so we don't care about the score. There's only one thing I saw that you guys could do differently, better maybe, and that's act as more of a team, because there's a few of your guys who don't seem to be. Otherwise, you're all excellent players.” Kai suggested softly.

“Thanks, I appreciate it, and yeah, we have a couple new players on our team that just don't seem to be getting the whole team thing, and we've now lost three games because of them, and even though we've won a few too, they've definitely been making it harder.” He growled.

“Don't be too hard on them, if they're new, they might not be familiar with team work, remember, sadly not all coaches work on that sort of thing. Just sit them down and talk to them about it, work on becoming friends and then the team parts will follow naturally.”

“Thanks, I'll have to try that, and now we'll have more time to do it, because with losing this game, unless someone else loses worse than we did, I think that'll knock us out of the finals.”

“Then if you want to, you'll just have to try harder next year, but trust me, it's not worth it if you can't be a team, and a team are friends.” Kai smiled sadly, he could see in the other boys eyes how much he had wanted to get to the finals.

“Yeah, and I'll be back next year, come hell or high water.” He smiled.

“Great, then we look forward to getting beat by you next year then.” Kai smiled.

“With how well you guys are playing now, I doubt that very seriously, it'll be a hell of a fight just to keep an even score.”

“Then it'll be a great game. Those are the ones we really like, when the other team is every bit as good as we are and we really have to pour every ounce of our love of hockey into it to keep it even.” Kai smiled.

“Too true, well thanks, have a good night.” He smiled and skated off, and he went and told the others how nice their captain was, not realizing that Kai was not the captain, but really he should be, because Daniel never would have done that, at least not nearly as good.

“Very well spoken, as always Kai.” Mitch patted him on the shoulder.

“Thanks Coach. Now, I don't know about the others, but with four hours of working hard this afternoon, and now with pushing so hard here tonight, I'm getting more than a little worn out and could really go get cleaned up and get home for some good rest.”

“Definitely.” The other two said.

“Heck, even we're worn out and we didn't do half as much as you did.” Jeff said.

“Yeah, but you're not used to what we do.” Kai smiled.

“Ain't that the truth.”

“No kidding. Well you boys go get cleaned up and get home for the night. You have another game tomorrow night don't forget, so get some good rest.” Mitch smiled at the boys, having to agree.

They all headed into the change room and stripped naked and went to the shower room and just soaked under the hottest water they could stand for at least ten minutes, all of them. As soon as they were well soaked, they all cleaned off and then went and dried and dressed, those needing them getting diapered first of course. As soon as they were all ready, they headed out to meet their parents. Dianne and a few of the dance students and parents were there waiting with Steven and Denise as the boys walked out to meet them.

“Wow Kai, I can't say that I've ever seen such a hockey game in my life, and I do like hockey as well, only watching though.” Dianne said as they exited.

“Thanks, but it was all of us together as a team that could do that. There isn't one single player on this team that could have done that alone, it takes all of us working together as one to be able to do that.” Kai said, pointedly looking toward the girls of his ballet class, trying to get them to see further the merits of team work.

“Yes, and it shows, but you got two out of the six goals tonight, that's impressive.”

“No, that was just good timing. Last game I didn't even get one, but I seem to average one a game, same as Kenny, Daniel and Owen seem to. Tonight just happened to be Kenny's turn to not get a goal.” Kai shrugged.

“It happens.” Dianne smiled.

“Exactly. Now, if you'll excuse us, we're getting pretty tired, we worked out this morning before dance, and then four hours at dance, and coming up on two hours here, so we're getting pretty worn.” Kai smiled tiredly.

“Oh right, then head home, see you Tuesday afternoon then.” Dianne smiled.

“Thanks. Bye everyone.” Kai said, and he and the rest of his group took off.

“How the hell can those boys do so much and not collapse?” Grace's dad asked Dianne.

“To tell you the truth, I have no idea, but they do it every day. They work out every morning, either in their gym at home or at hockey practice. They work out every afternoon, either at home or at dance, and then on Saturday's they usually work out for a couple hours in the morning and then come to dance. If there's only one reason why they're so good at dance, it's because they push themselves hard, they train themselves very well. Of course there's more than just one reason of course, they love both hockey and ballet, even Kenny and Owen love dance now, it's starting to flow through them as much as it flows through Kai. Of course he's helped them a great deal. If you think I've taught those two anything, it's nothing in comparison to what Kai's taught them. I'm told a full hour every day is dedicated just to stretching everything they have on their bodies, just so they can do the moves, and then a further hour is something else, either gymnastics, dance, cardio or aerobics, and even weight lifting now. It doesn't show on Kai well, but trust me, he's the strongest boy on his entire hockey team.”

“Holy shit, I think I'd die if I did all that.” He said again, the other parents, and even the girls all had to nod their agreement.

“I would too, and I work out hard too, only they do twice as much as I do. How they manage two hard sports like they do though is beyond me. Hockey may not be as trying as dance, but it's still hard, and as you saw tonight, they can take the hits every bit as much as they give them, although from the bruises I've seen on the boys, it looks like they take more than they give. My god, you should have seen the bruise on Kai's shoulder this week, he got hit with a puck in practice, and even with all the padding, he said it felt like he was beaten with a baseball bat.”

“Yikes. Who the hell shot a puck that hit him that hard?”

“His boyfriend Kenny.” Dianne laughed.

“Yikes, I hope he apologized.”

“I'm told he apologized for half an hour, and after I finished blushing and stammering, they just laughed.” Dianne giggled, and all the parents and girls blushed as well, knowing exactly what was meant every bit as much as Dianne had.

“I'm sure I don't want to know. I may be very open minded, but what two gay boys get to behind closed doors I don't care to know. I have to admit, I always knew Kai was gay.” He laughed.

“Oh, did Grace not tell you, she and all the others have known for years?” Dianne asked.

“No, it wasn't my place to tell, even though I knew.” Grace admitted.

“Oh, so you at least had a little respect for him?” Dianne smiled.

“Yeah, I might not have liked him much, for various reasons, but I had to respect him, he's really good, and I knew he'd kill me if I'd told anyone against his wishes.” Grace admitted, her parents having never heard any of this.

“Why didn't you like him?” Her dad asked.

“Let's just say he made us all realize we didn't like him because we were jealous of him but couldn't have him, being that he was gay.” She blushed.

“Ah yes.” He nodded, the other parents all had to chuckle, they could all see why the girls would feel that way, Kai was really very good looking, and a hell of a great dancer.

“I'm glad that you admitted that to your parents, all of you should have, and I have no doubts they had no clue about the animosity between you all and him. Just so you know, Kai was sick of them treating him like garbage, so he sat them down, and then promptly stomped them down and pulled their heads out of their asses. They wouldn't admit why they hated him, but he told them all why, and they could not disagree at all, he was too correct for their own good. Thankfully it worked out, now they're all acting like a team, hence the little jibe as they walked out, trying to get them to see what acting like a team could do, but they're already starting to realize that.” Dianne said, having no troubles airing all the girls' dirty laundry out to the parents, more than a little blush on the girls' cheeks as she did so. And they should be embarrassed by the way they acted too.

“Oh, we never knew, and while I can understand all the girls being crushed to know Kai was gay, so they couldn't ever have him, since I for one know Grace had a huge crush on him when she started dance, it doesn't make it right.”

“Daaaaaaaad.” Grace whined.

“What, like you were the only one. The looks on the other parents' faces say your feelings were mutual amongst your friends.” He laughed, and they all nodded.

“No, it's true, the day each of these girls walked in and saw Kai, diapers and tights and all, they fell in love with him. Then when he turned them away, saying he was gay and couldn't be anything more than a friend to them, they were all crushed, each and every one of them. Sure, he has a girly side, he even looks a little feminine, but even a blind person could easily see that he's all boy.” Dianne laughed.

“I bet. My son can be a little feminine as well, but he's all boy, and Kai sure looks to have a boyish mischief streak in him.”

“Is he gay too?” One of the other parents asked curiously.

“Not that we know, and I don't think so, and given I know a few gays and a few of the signs to look out for, I'd probably have seen it in him already. He's fifteen, and he'd have already decided by now for sure, and I doubt he has. He's also had a few girlfriends, and I doubt they're just to hide it. No, he just has a good feminine side to him, but he's certainly more boy than anything.” He laughed.

“Oh.”

“Even if he had've turned out gay though, I'd have been perfectly accepting of him. I have a cousin who's gay, and my best friend from school turned out to be gay as well, in fact I was the first person he told, but f course I wasn't like that, so had to turn him down.” He laughed. “We're still best friends though, and now his partner and my wife and I are all really good friends. They've even watched the kids for us on a number of occasions, and even they say Jim's not gay, just happy with himself.” He smiled softly.

“That's really good.”

“Yeah, we're pretty open in our family, and I'm surprised that Grace would ever be mean to a gay boy, even if she did have a crush on him, and when I tell her godfather this, I'm sure he's gonna have words with her.”

“Oh god, do you have to tell him?” She gasped, because she knew what he would say.

“Do you think I should?”

“Oh god no, he'll sit me down for at least three hours again and give me a lecture.” Grace blanched.

“And that my dear girl is the exact reason I am going to tell him.” Her dad smiled.

“Oh god, I'd rather deal with Kai beating us up verbally again.” She paled.

“It'll be good for you, and he won't be too hard on you, don't worry. My friend's a child therapist, a really good one, and he doesn't like gay bashing of any sort, understandable I suppose, considering how much it happened to him once he was outed in early high school.” He smiled to Grace and then told the others.

“Oh, he might know Kai's mom then, she's a child psychologist, the top one in the city, possibly the country from what I understand.” Dianne said.

“Yeah, they're familiar with each other, he knows Kai quite well actually. The first time he came to a dance performance at the school he was surprised that they were there too, and he talked to Denise more than he talked to me. They're not good friends or anything, but they like each other.”

“Oh, I think I remember that actually. He came in with you but talked to her the entire time as they watched the kids.” Dianne laughed.

“Pretty much yeah.”

“Well, I really must be heading out, it's already getting quite late for me, and I still need to exercise before bed.”

“Well, thanks for letting us know what's been happening lately, and thanks for inviting us out here, it was a nice night.”

“You're welcome, and I do believe the boys have another game tomorrow here as well, so come and join in and watch again if you'd all like.” Dianne smiled.

“We might just have to do that.” He smiled and a few of the others nodded as well.

They left a few moments later, and all of them went home. By the time they were leaving, the boys were just pulling into their garage, and they all stumbled out, just leaving their gear in the cars, they went straight to the bedrooms and collapsed on their beds. Kai and Kenny did not even get undressed, their diapers were good and they were tired, so they just covered up and passed out, their lamp still on even. Owen at least stripped down to his diaper and turned off his light, but he too was out within only a few seconds. Daniel collapsed on the bed, and Steven smiled and lovingly stripped his little baby and tucked him in. He was not even awake by the time Steven finished undressing him and tucking him in, he too was very tired. He had worked every bit as hard as the others had, only he was doing a lot of school work while they were relaxing, and he had worked out in the morning with them. Even while at the coffee shop, he was doing school work on the notebook computer. No, all the boys were exhausted, and both Denise and Steven hoped that they could keep it up for a little longer, but were going to tell the boys that they had to back off a little and take it a bit more easy, because they should not be passing out so quickly and so early, because it was only just a few minutes after seven.
