That one word scares the fuck out of me. I don't think I was anywhere as scared as Drew was, well I guess, I can call him Dad now, has a nice ring to it. His face was one I hoped to never see again. He looked so scared. I did the only thing that I could think of then and hugged him and told him everything would be fine. The doctor told us he'd like to order another blood test just to make sure there wasn't a false alarm. He said this test would be sent to a different lab for better results. Dad was silent the whole ride home. When we got there, he shut himself up in his and Tom's room and wouldn't come out. I spent the afternoon trying to get him out of the room. I finally did when I called him dad. I think whatever he was worried about left after I said that. He later told me he was worried I would want to leave after finding out he was my father. I assured him that wouldn't happen. Tom was out while all this happened so we explained what happened. He shocked the hell out of me when he hugged me and called me son. He told me he wouldn't let anything happen to his family. After the news today, Dad told me he was officially going to petition for full custody of me since the blood tests showed he was my father. Tom brought up the possibility of adopting me too, which made me feel better. I asked Tom if I could call him pop and he said he'd love that. I told Phillip about Dad and Pop. I really like calling them that. Phillip was so happy for me he asked if he could call them Uncle Tom and Uncle Drew. He was so funny about it. I didn't tell him about the leukemia because I didn't want him to worry. We started talking about school next week. I was kind of excited about it. I'm starting my freshman year! Well I'm going to go to bed now. Phillip said he was coming over tomorrow and I think it's the perfect time to talk to him about what's happening with me. Entry 23 Holy bat nipples I kissed him. Phillips lips were nice and soft and perfect. Oh, I'm getting ahead of myself, aren't I? it started this morning when Phillip came over and had breakfast with us. You should've seen dad's face when Phillip said Uncle Drew. Pop had the same reaction. Both were smiling like jackasses over it. After breakfast me and Phillip went up to my room. He started talking about how Benji had a girlfriend, he told me how disappointed he was that Benji was straight and how he'd never find a boyfriend. I decided to leap first and just kiss him. Oh my god, it was better than I imagined. After getting over the initial shock Phillip kissed me back ferociously. The passion in that one kiss was overwhelming. We decided that we should have a little talk before anything major happened and discussed everything that had happened. I know I must have been ten shades of red when telling him about how jealous I was of Benji for spending so much time him. He laughed and said he was thinking of me the entire time yesterday after Benji announced he had a new girlfriend. Turns out Phillip has liked me since we were ten but he didn't think I was into him. We both laughed when I confessed I didn't think he was into me either, and that I didn't know I was into him until recently. I even told him about the possibility of me having leukemia. I figured if we were going to be boyfriends we should be honest with each other. he cried when I told him, but he said he had faith everything would turn out alright. We just stayed in my room the rest of the afternoon and cuddled, eventually falling asleep. We were woken up when we heard talking outside of my door. Later I found out that Dad had snapped a picture of us asleep. He said it's blackmail for a rainy day. After Phillip left me and my parents sat down and they gave me the talk. I don't think parents realize that their kids already know about sex from the internet. I think Dad was even more embarrassed than I was during the conversation. Before we went to bed we walked around the neighborhood and saw a new family moving in. the son was cute, plus there were adorable twins and a drop-dead gorgeous older sister. I spoke with the boy and he had the cutest Irish accent. I can't remember his name right now I think it was Sean or something like that. Oh well, time to turn in again. Can't wait for tomorrow, dad and I are going to a family court lawyer to meet about the custody. Diary of A Lost Kid Chapter 8 By Wesley Lewis Entry 24 Today was amazing. The appointment with the family court guy went great. He told us that considering the blood tests coming back that I'm really dad's son, it would be easier to get full custody and even for Pop to adopt me. He said it could all happen by the end of the year. After that we went shopping for clothes for school and other things I would need. It was awesome being able to shop with my two dads. Hell, it felt good saying my two dads. We ran into Phillip and his parents while we were shopping. They looked shocked when I hugged and kissed Phillip in public. I guess he hadn't got around to telling his parents about us. I guess the cat was out of the bag. But they didn't care. They had adopted him because no one wanted a gay kid but they didn't care. His mom couldn't conceive and they only wanted to adopt. His dad was a social worker, he was the one that asked that Steuben be my social worker. His mom worked at the local hospital. She was the one who told me about my parent's death. We spent the rest of the day shopping together. The whole time me and Phillip were holding hands and it felt so right just doing that. We went out to dinner together and then parted ways. Dinner was a low-key affair. Just some Chinese takeout. Well tomorrow I'm spending the day at Phillip's Entry 25 Dude today was awesome! Phillip's parents are so cool. They trusted us not to mess around, which we wouldn't do anyway we're not ready for that yet. It was great though, Benji came over and we spent half the afternoon having a water balloon fight. Uncle David and Aunt Maureen even joined in. They were so fun. But the kids totally owned the old guys. After getting dry, we all sat down and played a few rounds of gin rummy. Needless to say, the kids got their butts handed to us. After I got home I asked the dads if we could have a get together during the weekend before school started. they thought it was a good idea and wanted to know who we would invite. I had to think about that. Obviously, we would have to invite Phillip and his folks. Should I invite that cute Irish boy? What the hell is his name? I would invite that Wesley kid but his parents are the pastors at the church, so I'm not sure if they would want to be around the dads. He was kind of weird anyway kind of a loner. Plus, those twins he hung out with. He is kind of cute but I'm with Phillip now so it doesn't matter. Oh, we should invite Benji and his folks, and maybe his girlfriend. I'm thinking maybe we should do a barbecue. This is fun planning everything. In the morning me and the dads are going to the store to get everything. Its going to be so fun!!! Entry 26 The barbecue was a success. It was amazing how well everyone got along with each other. By the way, I finally remembered that Irish kid's name, Seamus. He was painfully shy though. His little sisters were adorable. Benji and his girlfriend fit in great with everyone. No one seemed to have a problem with me and Phillip snuggling up with one another, which made us feel even better about our friends. We had a few other neighbors that came as well. What surprised me were the two pastors from the local church came. It's a shame that Wesley wasn't feeling good that day, I think him and Seamus would've hit it off. Everyone started talking about school tomorrow, which all the kids would be starting ninth grade, except for Seamus' sisters. Phillip and his folks stayed behind to help us clean up the mess. Afterwards, we split a watermelon. Me and Phillip had a blast just spitting seeds at one another. It got even better when the parents started to fire them at us too. All in all, I'd say it was one of the best days of summer. I can't wait for school to start tomorrow. -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- Okay so I'll be submitting two chapters together until I get the story caught up with Wesley and Seamus as events in the two will continue to collide. I hope everyone is enjoying this story and please feel free to send me your comments, complaints, suggestions, and criticisms.
