In Time It was Friday afternoon, and Wyatt was eagerly awaiting the single noise he had wanted to hear ever since returning home from school. He sat with his music softly playing, hardly able to concentrate on what he was doing, when suddenly he heard the doorbell. His heart jumped as he dashed down the stairs and up to the front door. It flew open and there stood the boy who had finally made his dreams come true. Alan was dressed in a grey button down shirt and long black jeans, and his was hair styled with a slight swoosh going to the left. Wyatt leapt forward and threw his arms around Alan's shoulders, clinging to him tightly. "ALAN!!" Wyatt said in joy. "Hey Wyatt" Alan said, as he paused to lean in for a light kiss on Wyatt's lips. "You seem excited," Alan said with a bright smile. "Hell yea, I've been waiting all day dude! Here, come in!" Wyatt said as he took Alan's hand and practically dragged him inside. Alan then set his overnight bag and sleeping bag (which he had no intention of using) on the sofa in the living area. "So what time do you have to leave tomorrow?" Wyatt asked, looking Alan directly in the eyes. "I have to be out by 9. I have a baseball game at 10," Alan said, the disappointment obvious in his voice. "That sucks," Wyatt replied, equally disappointed in not being able to spend the morning with Alan. "Well...maybe..." "What?" Wyatt asked. "Why don't you come along? I'm sure my parents wouldn't mind driving," Alan said with a bright smile. Soon Wyatt's face mirrored Alan's, but then his expression changed to a more seductive look. He leaned in and began to whisper into Alan's ear. "I'd love to see you play, and maybe a few other things later," Wyatt said as he moved his hand to lightly graze across Alan's butt. Alan again leaned in for a light kiss on Wyatt's lips and just looked him in the eyes for a bit. As he had always known, once you got to know Wyatt, he was very outgoing socially. He didn't hold back around his friends, and he for sure didn't hold back with Alan. Since they had begun their relationship he had been pushing what they do quite often, not that Alan minded, but sometimes it surprised him a bit as to how far he wanted to go. He loved how Wyatt seemed so innocent, yet was far more mischievous when not around his parents or strangers. Most of all he loved how eager he was to keep this relationship going, and how much he really did care. He didn't do it simply because he wanted to be in love, but because he did love Alan. "Earth to Alan," Wyatt said trying to replicate a radio transmission with fake static noise. "Alan responding," Alan replied with a sly smile and glimmer in his eyes. Alan continued to hold Wyatt, with Wyatt's chin resting on the center of his chest and Alan's hands resting firmly on his lower back. "So what's up?" Wyatt asked amused by Alan's seemingly distant look. "I was just wondering..." "Wonderiinnngg...?" Wyatt repeated, making it into a question. "How I got lucky enough to get you as a boyfriend," Alan said, with a light smile still on his face and a glimmer in his eyes. "I've wondered the same," Wyatt said, his mood becoming serious, and a small grin spreading across his lips. "Well, I don't think it matters how we got here, just the fact that we're here is good enough for me," Alan said. The boys continued to lock eyes and hold onto each other tightly as they swayed slightly from side to side in their embrace. "So...wanna go up to my room?" Wyatt asked with a mischievous smile and glimmer in his eye. "Of course," Alan replied. The two boys then quickly crossed the house, ascended the stairs, and soon found themselves in Wyatt's room. Wyatt jumped onto his bed, soon followed by Alan, who lay down behind him. He then took Wyatt into a tight embrace and the two boys cuddled together in a spooning position. "God...I love it when you hold me..." Wyatt said quietly as he pushed himself closer to Alan. Alan in response held Wyatt closer and then ran the tip of his nose through Wyatt's red hair. He took in his scent. It was a combination of his shampoo but also another smell he couldn't exactly describe, except for saying that it was "Wyatt." Alan then took his hand and moved it down the front of Wyatt's body until his palm was resting lightly on Wyatt's crotch. Wyatt let out a light sigh and then in a barely audible tone whispered: "Please...more". Wyatt's words sent a rush of excitement through Alan's veins as he reached down into Wyatt's jeans and rubbed his hand over the tip of Wyatt's growing erection. Wyatt in response began to buck his pelvis out, trying to rub Alan's hand more against his penis. "That...it feels sooo good," Wyatt said as he suddenly turned around in Alan's embrace so they were now facing each other. Alan moved his hand back around and took a hold of Wyatt's waist band and pulled his pants down to his knees, while Wyatt did the same to Alan. Alan gripped the warm tip of Wyatt's penis and rubbed it up against his own as the two boys began to explore each other's mouth with their tongues. Their hearts beat faster, and the sweat began to drip down their foreheads as they got closer to impending orgasm. Wyatt then began to buck more against Alan's own erection and the rate of rubbing sped up as the two felt the feelings begin to rush through their veins in an even greater amount. Wyatt's breath became staccato and shallow as he pulled himself even closer to Alan, who was having a similar experience and pulling even tighter to Wyatt. Finally both felt the orgasm overcome them and they felt spurts of cum intermingle on their crotches. "That was amazing!" Alan said as he placed his hand behind Wyatt's head. The two's eyes met as they looked caringly at one another. Then Wyatt leaned in and whispered into Alan's ear "Well, tonight will be even more amazing." Alex was still somewhat upset over Caleb, but Martin was doing everything in his power to try and cheer him up. Everything from pleasuring him sexually, reassuring him verbally, and planning to take him out this evening to a movie and then having him spend the night at his house. Yet something else was on his mind. He was now laying on the sand with Alex at the beach in the park, both boys letting the sun's rays warm them, and subsequently build up a bit more of a tan. In fact, Martin was almost as tan as Corey, and Alex was a bit darker than he used to be, mainly because of all the time outside he spent with Martin. "Hey Alex?" Martin said, making it a question. "What's up?" Alex replied. "Well I was thinking dude...you remember how Ashley came on to me?" "Yea, I remember that?" "And how Caleb came on to you. Did either know we were dating?" "Well Caleb knew, he even told me... "Yea I know," Martin replied, forgetting that Alex didn't know he had been watching them. "Wait...how?" Alex asked, somewhat surprised that Martin would know. "Ummm...ok well I was coming to the beach just to relax, but I saw your bike and his go-kart. So I figured out where you were and I ended up watching you two argue on the beach," Martin explained. "Why didn't you do anything?" Alex asked, not out of anger, but more of surprise that Martin didn't try to stop it. "Well I wanted to several times...but you stopped it yourself," Martin said, his voice trailing off at the end. The two sat still and quiet for a moment as an awkward silence descended upon them. Neither was quite sure what to say, and Martin sensed Alex wanted to move on. The subject was still a bit raw. "Anyway, the point is, I don't want us to keep having people come on to us, and then we don't have a sufficient reason to say no. I think we should come out," Martin said forcing the phrase out in one swoop. Alex sat up suddenly with a look of surprise strewn across his face. "What...dude are you even serious..." "I am Alex," Martin replied quickly. "Martin, wouldn't that be a giant 'Fuck you' to Caleb if we came out right after I turned him down?" "So." Martin said in a slightly acidic tone. He still felt anger towards Caleb for trying to take Alex away. "DUDE! He's...well, he was my best friend! Are you wanting to come out to just piss him off?" Alex said back forcefully. "No...I want to do this because I really think it would be better for us as a couple. I'm not trying to do it to piss off Caleb," Martin said, though he didn't mind the thought of pissing Caleb off a bit. "I'm not sure...I mean...who else do we know who's out?" "Our brothers," Martin replied. "Wait....seriously!?" "Yea, didn't they tell you? They came out on Thursday on facebook and then just publically admitted it in school when people asked them." "So, how did it go?" Alex asked, hoping that it did go well. "It was fine. People for the most part didn't care. A few people were jerks, but that's it," Martin responded. "Well...I mean... we're at middle school though. Don't you think people might act a bit differently?" "And if they do, who cares? Alex, they'll find out sooner or later, and if we want this relationship to be stable we can't keep having this issue." Martin then reached out and took both of Alex's hands in his own. "Please, for us," Martin said. Alex looked him in the eyes and saw the care and compassion that he had always sensed when he was with Martin. Even when they were arguing he knew that Martin still cared. "Ok...but first let's head back to my house dude. I want to get something to eat," Alex said as he rose to his feet and grabbed Martin's hand, bringing him up as well. The two then headed off towards their bikes and sped away to Alex's house. Alex and Martin had reached the garage and both got off their bikes. Alex reached into the outside refrigerator and grabbed a soda along with Martin and the two quickly walked up the steps and into the kitchen. The second they walked inside, they saw Jacob and Corey in the kitchen. Jacob was leaning back against the counter and Corey was holding onto him tightly and both boys were making out. "Get a room you two!" Martin suddenly shouted, causing Corey to practically fly off Jacob. The two had priceless looks of shock and surprise on their faces as they began to blush. Alex and Martin burst into laughter at their brothers' reaction and started crying as a result of laughing so hard. Jacob and Corey now had a sour look on their faces and neither appeared very appreciative of being walked in on. "Whatever. It's not like I haven't walked in on you two doing more," Corey said with an evil grin. Suddenly, both Alex and Martin stopped laughing and now they were the ones blushing and looking away. "Really? What have you walked in on them doing?" Jacob asked, now curious, but fairly sure about what his brother and Martin had been doing. "Nothing!" Alex replied a bit too quickly. "I'll tell you later," Corey said to Jacob, who nodded in response. "Hey who's the package for?" Alex suddenly said after noticing the package on the counter top. "OH...yea that's right. Caleb stopped by and dropped it off. He wanted me to give it to you," Jacob said handing the package to Alex. "What is it?" Alex said, anxiety in his voice. "Not sure, I didn't look," Jacob responded. Martin reached over and put his hand lightly on Alex's shoulder, trying to provide some support. He had a feeling that it wasn't going to be anything good. Alex tore the tape off and opened up the package. He immediately recognized the contents of the package. It was a picture that had been taken a few months after he had befriended Caleb in fifth grade. It showed them both leaning against each other, hands on each other's shoulder. They were both sitting on Alex's back porch eating popsicles. The picture frame had been broken though, the glass shattered, and the picture had been torn right down the middle. He had given it to Caleb as a sign of their friendship, and the message Caleb was sending him was clear. "Hey, isn't that the picture mom had given you two a while back?" Jacob asked, perplexed as to why Caleb was sending it back. Alex's face scrunched up, and he tossed the box onto the counter and immediately took off to his room. "Alex...ALEX!" Jacob shouted, trying to get him to stop. Martin immediately took off and ran to catch up with Alex in hopes that he would be able to comfort him. Jacob and Corey now sat in the kitchen alone, both looking at the broken picture frame. "What just happened?" Corey asked, completely lost about the situation. "I have no clue. I mean, Caleb is Alex's best friend, so I'm not sure," Jacob said as he held up the broken picture frame, being careful not to touch the broken glass. "I'm sorry I wasn't good enough for you?" Corey said aloud suddenly. "What?" "That's what this says, it was in the bottom of the box," Corey said as he handed a slip of paper to Jacob. Jacob took it and read over it quickly, immediately recognizing Caleb's hand writing. He then was able to piece together what he thought probably happened. "I think I know what happened," Jacob said in a downtrodden tone. "What?" Corey asked. "What do you think that would be in reference to?" "Wait...was he trying to date him?" Corey asked, a bit surprised. "I think so dude..." Jacob said. Both boys stood there, neither sure how to react to the situation. Jacob especially felt upset at what had happened since he knew how close Alex and Caleb used to be. He knew how much it sucked to lose a best friend. Caleb sat down on the couch and began eating his lunch as the TV droned on in the background. His dad was sitting on the sofa watching it with him, both were fairly quiet. "Thanks for lunch dad," Caleb said flatly. "You're welcome son," his dad replied. The two ate in silence, and it bothered Mr. Olson. His son use to be very talkative, energetic, and generally bright, but now he seemed so much more quiet and subdued. He knew that his mom's leaving was part of the reason, and he knew the other part was being rejected by Alex. He was hoping that maybe he could cheer his son up somehow, but he just didn't know how. "So would like to do anything today. It's Friday," Mr. Olson said. "I think I just want to listen to music in my room," Caleb said in a melancholy tone. Mr. Olson let out a solemn sigh. "I know your upset, but you've got to try and move on son." "Dad...I loved him for so long, and I missed my chance because I was a coward," Caleb said in a barely audible tone. "Son, he already has a boyfriend. I know you love him, but do you really want to lose your friendship with him over this?" Caleb kept looking down at the floor, and he wouldn't make eye contact with his father. "What does it matter, I already lost mom because of it," Caleb said in a hopeless tone. Mr. Olson wasn't sure how to respond or even reassure his son. He knew that his marriage was about to end because of this. "By the way, I read the e-mail from mom," Caleb said. His father immediately knew what e-mail he was referring to. The e-mail basically said he should leave Caleb to a relative and come with her so they could move on and live happily ever after. He immediately sent her an e-mail back saying that he would be filing for divorce, and he had already met with a lawyer to get things finalized. "I'm sorry you had to see that son," his father said. "No Dad, I'm sorry I ruined our family and your marriage. It's my fault for...for....DAMN IT!!" Caleb suddenly shouted as he buried his face in his palms. He suddenly began to sob uncontrollably His father immediately got up and sat down next to him, taking him into a tight embrace. Caleb started to cry into his dad's shoulder and kept saying he was sorry for everything. His dad then took his face and moved it so they were now looking at one another eye to eye. Caleb stared at him, confused by the sudden move. "Son, you didn't do anything to ruin this family or my marriage. Your mom did that herself because she wasn't willing to be tolerant. This is not your fault and you're not to blame. Period. It's because your mom was being arrogant. That's what made it all fall apart. I'm sorry you have to go through this, and I'll do everything in my power to try and make this process as painless as possible for you. I'm sorry son," Mr. Olson said as he again took his son into a tight embrace. Caleb continued to cry into his shoulder, more lightly, but still crying. His dad was hoping that things would work out for the best, and he hoped that he could help pull his son through this. He decided that getting some outside professional help would be the best for Caleb. He just didn't want to see his son continue to get hurt. Alex was on his bed face down as Martin lay next to him holding him tight. He was doing his best to provide him comfort, but there was only so much he could do. Alex had stopped crying by this point, but still felt cold, and he was shivering. Martin was holding him tighter and had moved both of them under the covers to try and warm them up. "Why...doesn't he know I loved him as a friend..." Alex said quietly as he held on tighter to Martin's hands. "I'm not sure Alex..." Martin said, honestly not knowing the answer. "We were so close...but he just ended it like that..." "Alex...I need to ask you something," Martin said. "What?" "When I had overheard you two at the beach that day...what happened between you two in October?" Martin asked. The question had been bothering him since he had heard it being mentioned. Martin let out a sigh and let his eyes drift over the ruffles and folds of the covers. He felt his breath slow, and he began to frown. He wondered if maybe that had been what caused Caleb to fall in love with him so suddenly. He wondered if he had ruined their friendship. He wanted to know so badly. "I let him give me a blowjob in the locker room showers after a game," Alex said quietly. Martin flinched a bit and took in a deep breath. He kept himself under control though because he knew that Caleb was not going to go after Alex anymore. Yet the thought that Alex had done stuff with other people bothered him, even though he knew that there was no reason to overact. "Do you think I ruined it?" Alex suddenly asked. "What do you mean?" "I wonder if he fell in love with me because I let him do stuff with me. I wonder if he only loved me because we messed around," Alex said, sounding desperate for an answer. "Alex...even if he loved you only after that, he was the one who fell for you. He is responsible for his own feelings. Did you ask him to mess around or did he ask you?" "He asked me." "Then dude, he should have had the ability to control himself," Martin said trying to sound reassuring. "I guess," Alex replied as he kept looking solemnly away. He still felt that he was to blame. He hadn't noticed his advances, or tried to simply ignore them so he could stay friends with him. Alex had hoped that maybe he would be able to stay friends if he ignored the fact that Caleb seemed to be getting closer to him. He had done his best to convince himself that Caleb would never do that, and had inadvertently led him on. He still felt he was to blame for Caleb's problems. He simply hoped he could make things right one day soon. Authors note: Ok well first off sorry this took so long to get out.
