All similarities between this story's plot line, characters, names, places, or any other item are purely coincidence In Time Caleb sat up in his bed as he felt the sweat bead his forehead and dampen his body. He looked around, panting slightly, letting his eyes adjust to the dark room. "It was only a dream," he repeated lightly. It had been a long time since he had had a normal dream, yet this 'normal' dream was disturbing him. Basically, in the dream he was kissing a boy, but this time it wasn't Alex. He had no clue who it was, or if he had even seen him before, but this boy was amazing. He looked to be a little older than himself, maybe 14 or 15. His face had well defined cheek bones with a subtle chin. An average size nose complimented his grey eyes and curly black hair. He had a few freckles under his eyes and his skin was light, but not pale. The rest of his body looked slim, not lanky. Caleb didn't get to see much else since the dream ended far too quickly, and he only saw him from the waist up. Wait...no Alex is the only one I love, why the hell would I kiss someone other than him...It was only a dream, it doesn't mean anything Caleb swallowed some and the dryness of his throat felt like sandpaper. He got up and quietly found his way to the door. He then carefully descended the stairs and went to the kitchen. Caleb grabbed a glass and poured some water into it. He took a few gulps and felt the relief of the cool water in his throat as he leaned back against the kitchen counter top. Caleb glanced over at the oven clock out of curiosity. 1:04 He then leaned back against the kitchen again and looked out to the backyard and up into the sky. He watched the stars twinkle against the black backdrop that made up the heavens and wondered what tomorrow was going to bring. Caleb was still not entirely certain he wanted to be around Martin, considering all the drama that had occurred not even a month ago. Yet he also knew an opportunity to hang out with Alex was a rare one, and one he didn't want to pass it up. He placed the glass in the sink and began to head back up to his room where he finally laid his head on his pillow and pulled his covers over him. Though he shut his eyes, sleep didn't come to him. Caleb tossed and turned but nothing seemed to alleviate his mind running at a million miles an hour. He then got up and turned on his desk light. There on the desk sat a photo, a copy of the one of him and Alex sitting on the back porch enjoying popsicles that day. He held it up to the light and stared at the boy next to him. What's different now? Alex suddenly arose in bed and looked around. He wasn't sure why but he felt like something woke him up. He looked over to his clock to check the time. 1:06 He suddenly felt pressure in his bladder and realized why he woke up. He quickly but carefully got up from bed and walked over to the bathroom. He went in and lifted up the toilet seat. Since he didn't wear any pajamas when Martin was there, he just let his stream go into the toilet and quickly finished up. Alex walked back over to his bed but stopped a few feet short. He saw Martin lying on his side facing him. The covers were drawn back to his knees and his body was fully exposed in the moonlight. It illuminated the soft curves of his face and the contrasting build of his muscles. He could hear his breath softly, barely audible, as his small chest lifted up, and sank back down. He looked so perfect, and the thought that he was his almost overwhelmed Alex. He walked up to the bed and carefully got back in. He then scooted in as close as he could and snaked his arm under Martin's body. Alex let the warmth of their skins mesh as he took in Martin's scent and felt it overwhelm his senses. His hormones began to rush in and he felt his penis begin to rise. Alex lifted himself up a little and moved so that his lips were just over Martin's cheek. He then leaned in and tenderly kissed him for what felt like forever. "Ya know if ya really wanted to ya coulda just asked?" Alex jumped a bit at Martin's voice. Martin turned around in his arms and then pulled in Alex tightly as he began to rub his hands all over his back. "I thought you were asleep?" Alex asked. "I was earlier, but then I woke up. Then ya woke up and started kissing me," Martin said, his Australian accent particularly thick. Alex gave him a lopsided smile and started giggling as he tried to bite his lip and stifle his laughter. "What?" Martin said lowering his left eye brow. "Your accent dude, what's up with it?" "What about it?" "You sound like the guy from the Outback commercials," Martin said, finally no longer able to hold back his laughter. [Note: Outback is an American restaurant that is Australian themed and based out of Tampa Florida] Martin felt his face flush red as he let out a little "grr" noise. "That guy's accent is so fucking fake it's not even funny. And so what about my accent?" "I just haven't heard it this thick since you first got here," Alex said, letting out his last laughs as he pulled himself into Martin again. "Well whatever," Martin said rolling his eyes as he wrapped his arms around Alex as well. "So my Aussie, I can feel you're in need of attention," Alex said as he reached down and grabbed Martin's fully erect penis. Martin reached over and took Alex's hard-on in his hand as well. "I think ya are too there mate," Martin said as he moved in to Alex. The two let their lips drift together and let their tongues dance in each other's mouth as they let their hands drift over their genitals. Moments later their bodies were thrusting against one another as a thin film of sweat covered their skin. The scent of their passion was strong in the air as they began to move their hands faster and faster, each jerking the other's penis with full intensity. They began to moan softly as their orgasms approached and their breath came in staccato rhythms. Alex suddenly felt Martin's left hand move to his butt and press into it. He could feel the small movements he made with his finger over his anus as he began to rub deeper and deeper. It was so amazingly stimulating that it sent him over the edge. He did his best to keep it going as long as he could, but he felt his resistance fail as his penis started jerking. Small jets of watery cum shot out and landed onto his own and Martin's stomach. Martin, feeling Alex cum on him felt his own orgasm hit. Soon, his own small jets of watery cum flew from the tip of his penis and landed in between the two boys. They both started breathing deeply as their racing heart's slow. They felt the mixture of sweat and cum lining their bodies. They moved so they were now lying side by side, holding the others hand in between them while resting their other hand beside them. Alex turned his head sideways to look at Martin, watching as the tip of his cock disappeared beneath his foreskin. Martin stared back at him intently, smiling. "That was pretty awesome wasn't it?" Alex said Martin suddenly moved closer and brought his lips to Alex's for a tender but passionate kiss. "Yea it was." The boy was awoken by his phone making a buzzing noise, indicating he got a text. He took a breath and yawned a little as he reached over to his night stand. He pulled up his text messages and found the new one. It was from some random number; in fact it didn't even look like a phone number, just a bunch of random numbers put together. Caleb "What...ehh wrong number I guess," the boy said as he placed his phone back on his night stand and fell back on his bed. Before he even had the chance to catch a few minutes of sleep, he suddenly heard a knocking at his door. "Sweetie it's time to get up," he heard his mom say through the door. "Ehh...what time is it?" "It's already 10:20, and Cameron and Isaac are waiting for you. You said you were going to hang out with them today remember?" He suddenly remembered that he had said he would hang out with his two friend's downtown for the day. "Right, ok tell them I'll be down in a bit." The boy moved to a sitting position in his bed and then looked over at his phone again. He picked it up and pulled up the text message one last time. "Caleb eh...I wonder what the heck that's supposed to mean," the boy said quietly under his breath. Caleb was just finishing up his morning shower and getting the last suds out of his hair. It felt good to have the warm water over his body. The feeling of water had always enticed him, even as a child, so for him it was a refreshing morning ritual to start off the day. Though he had found himself growing excited to hang out with Alex again, he still had doubts about hanging out with Martin that continued to linger in his mind. He didn't feel as bothered by them though, but couldn't really figure out why. Plus another thing was occupying his mind: the dream last night. After he had gone to bed again, the same dream occurred, but this time he got a clearer image of the boy. He was slim, and in fact looked like he participated in athletics, probably track judging by his leg muscles. Yet he also had something else about him, an air of uncertainty. He wasn't sure what, but he felt unstable. Caleb had no clue where he was getting this feeling from, but he knew he picked up on it from somewhere. Suddenly, he realized that his favorite morning ritual of a stress free shower was ruined. He decided it was time to get out. Caleb quickly got out of his shower and went to dry off. He looked over at the clock and saw he had about twenty minutes to get to Alex's house. He then noticed his phone was glowing, indicating he had a new text message. He walked over and picked it up and pulled up the text message. He couldn't identify the number, and actually wondered if it was even a number. It seemed more like a random assortment of numbers rather than any actual phone number. He quickly scanned over the text that was sent to him. Be vigilant, you'll see him Wait...be vigilant? Who am I going to see? Caleb looked it over a bit more and wondered if he was accidently sent some confidential text message from some government black ops. No...they wouldn't send each other texts, if they did they'd be a hell of a lot more careful and not send it to some kid...would they? Caleb quickly dismissed the idea and got dressed for the day. As he put on clothes, the same thought kept repeating in his head. Would today be just another day, or would it be a day? "Ok have a fun time son," Mr. Olson said as Caleb got out of the car. "Thanks Dad, I will," Caleb said shutting the door and walking down the driveway. It had been a while since he had been to Alex's house, but it looked just as nice as the first time he had seen it. It brought back a ton of memories, good ones, but bad ones as well. Yet he had sworn to himself that he would only stay positive. He needed to be willing to make a good impression if he was to regain Alex's friendship. He knew he still loved him, but he would rather at least be friends even if he couldn't be boyfriends. He got to the front door and knocked. In a few moments the door opened and he saw Alex and Martin standing there. Alex was wearing loose light jeans with a white button down shirt, and a pair of strap on sandals and the same sunglasses he had gotten for his birthday. Martin on the other hand had on dark skinny jeans, a pair of converse weapons he had gotten for his birthday, a black and white button down, some aviator sunglasses, and a black and yellow watch. They looked like a fairly stylish couple, and just for a moment, only the slightest, Caleb thought they actually looked good together. What the hell... "Hey Caleb" Alex said flashing him a bright smile. "Hey guys, so are we ready to go?" Caleb asked in an upbeat tone. "Yea, we just have to wait for Alex's mom to get back," Martin began. Just as he said that though the black BMW glided into the driveway and stopped. "And there she is," Martin said finishing his sentence. The horn honked and the three ran out to the car and quickly got in. "Hey boys, so you're going to the arcade right?" Alex's mom said as she pulled out. "Yea we'll call you when were ready to go," Alex said. "Do you have money for lunch?" "Yes Mom," Alex answered. "How about you, do you both have money?" "Yes ma'am," the boys said simultaneously "Ok then, let's get going." The three boys got out of the car and walked down the street a bit. They were just chatting about school, and talking about what they wanted to get for lunch when they passed by the Telson System Arcade (though everyone just called it the Arcade since it was the only one in town). "God, I can't believe this place is still here," Isaac said as he looked inside. "Seriously, how much money do you think we spent here?" Cameron asked. "I'd say at least a thousand. Maybe more," the boy with them said. He placed his hand on his head and rubbed it through his curly black hair for a bit. "Wanna play a few games?" Cameron suddenly suggested. "Sure, I can still kick your ass at any first person shooter though," Isaac said in an authoritative tone. "Is that a challenge?" Cameron responded "Only if you don't care about being a pussy for not doing it," Isaac responded. "You're on!" Cameron said as he ran in past them. The other boy just walked in calmly as Isaac ran past him to catch up with Cameron. He looked around the arcade and remembered all the time he had spent there. It was almost all he ever did in middle school. He looked over and spotted his favorite of the games. It was in the far right corner and had a picture of an older model Lamborghini on the side. It was a racing game that he loved as a kid. It had multiplayer as well so he could challenge any of the other kids, and he had never once lost on it. I think I'll give it a try "Ok boys have a good time" Alex's mom said as the three got out. "We will," they said in unison as they shut the doors. "So, to the arcade?" Martin asked the group. "Hell yes!" Alex replied. The three started towards the arcade and looked around the town. It was somewhat busy, being a Saturday afternoon, so they had to weave through the other people. Suddenly Alex knocked into another person fairly hard and almost lost his balance. He stopped and quickly turned around. "I'm really sorry about that...Wyatt?" Alex said. He looked to see both Alan and Wyatt standing next to each other. Wyatt was holding a bag from Barnes & Noble and Alan had another. "Hey how've you guys been?" Alex asked as he gave both of them high fives. "We've been great, how about you and Martin?" Alan said as Martin walked up behind Alex. "Fine, just hanging out with Caleb. We're heading to the Arcade actually," Martin said. The two looked surprised momentarily, and then saw Caleb standing nearby. They quickly changed their expression. "Cool, we just got done getting a few books. Wyatt wanted some new ones to read," Alan explained as he held up the somewhat bulky bag he was holding. "They were all on sale and for that price..." "I'm not complaining Wyatt, don't worry," Alan said with a smile. "Well, if you two want maybe you can come with us to the arcade?" "We would but we were actually heading back to Wyatt's house. His mom's waiting for us down the block," Alan said pointing backwards. "Ah, well just don't have too much fun," Martin said with his mischievous grin. "Ehh...god" Alan said as he rolled his eyes and laughed a bit. "Well anyway, see you guys in school on Monday," Alex said. "See you," the two said as everyone exchanged goodbyes. "I thought Caleb hated Martin?" Wyatt said in disbelief "I did too," Alan replied, equally confused by the sight. "What do you think happened?" Wyatt asked, looking back as he watched the three boys walk away. "Honestly, I've got no clue." "Well at least he looks happy again," Wyatt said "Yea...I noticed that too." The three boys walked into the arcade and went up to the counter to exchange their dollars for change. "So what do you want to do first?" Alex asked. "How about air hockey," Martin suggested. "Sure." The three boys walked over to the table. Alex was on the right, Martin on the left and Caleb stood in the center to watch them. They inserted their coins and the game lit up and began making sounds as the puck dropped into the slot. It was on Martin's side. A mischievous grin drew itself along his face as he placed the puck on the table. It glided a little as Martin drew back his mallet. He drew it forward with lightning speed and sent the puck flying across the table and straight into Alex's goal. "Holy crap!" Alex drew back a moment. "I didn't think that'd work," Martin said sticking out his tongue. The intensity of the game could be felt in the air as daggers flew between the two boys. Both were equally competitive, and though they were boyfriends, they didn't cut the other any slack when it came to competition. Caleb watched as the game unfolded. Both boys kept directly behind the other's score, and finally the last score of the game came. Both were dead even, and had been at it for the last four minutes. The puck flew and clanged against the sides of the table as the board made sounds and the mutli colored scoreboard that hung above the table lit up and flashed. A few other kids had drawn around the table to see the events unfold as the game continued on. Finally Martin saw his advantage. He swung his arm out as the puck flew towards the left of his goal. He hit it as hard as he could, causing it to slam against the right wall and angle back at high speed, directly into Alex's goal. The machine lit up and screamed out victory as Martin threw his hands up in the air. Alex let out a disgruntled sound and threw his hand against his forehead in defeat. "Looks like I won," Martin said with a sly grin. "Fine you got me," Alex said humorously as he walked up to shake Martin's hand Martin instead pulled him into an embrace and leaned in just enough so that no one else could hear him. "You can repay me later," Alex shivered a bit, but immediately started smiling at the thought. "Gladly," Alex said in a soft tone. Caleb watched this, and yet he didn't feel what he used to feel when he saw their closeness. He was jealous, but it wasn't as intense as before. It was more like he wished he could feel the same thing. He looked over to the corner and eyed a racing game that looked fun. "Hey I'm going to go play that game for a bit," Caleb said as he walked over to it. He got in the seat and inserted his coins. The game immediately gave race options, difficulty levels, cars, etc. He chose the hardest setting and picked a Porsche 911 Turbo S. The game started and he immediately got the advantage; by shifting gears quickly he was soon hitting 140 mph. A bend came up and he quickly downshifted and drifted smoothly around the corner as he hit the accelerator again. The car sped up, but a Ferrari was coming up on his left. He quickly moved that way cutting it off, but another car sped past him on the right. He didn't have time and downshifted to gain access to the horsepower he needed to speed up. Caleb managed to catch up to them, but it was still neck and neck. He pressed down on the pedal and was driving with abandon, and soon the finish line appeared. Caleb shifted up and hit the nitrous button. He blew by the finish line just at the last moment and won the race. Caleb threw his arms up in the air as he saw the machine light up to inform him that he was the new high score of all time. It was only by five points, but it was still the new high score. "Nice job, you beat my old score," a voice said suddenly from behind Caleb. He turned around and immediately froze. There in front of him was the boy from his dream. He had the same curly black hair, slim body, grey eyes. It was him. Is that what the text was telling me? Caleb wondered in shock as he looked at this boy. He was very attractive to say the least, and he had this aurora of cool about him. "Th...thanks," Caleb said, stuttering only slightly. "I'm surprised it took someone so long to beat my score. I must've set it two years ago," the boy said as he looked at the screen behind Caleb. "Oh, wow that is odd," Caleb said, finding it hard not to stare at this boy. "Yea it is. So are you going to type in a name?" the boy asked, pointing to the screen. "Oh right!" Caleb said as he quickly went over and spelled out his name on the screen. He looked at the score just beneath his. "Is your name Jack?" "Yea, and yours?" "Caleb." Suddenly, the boy's face changed to a slight confusion. He looked at Caleb for a moment with an eyebrow raised. "How do you spell it?" "C...a...l...e...b. Why?" "Nothing, just thought it sounded familiar," Jack said, thinking to himself. This is way too weird. What is this supposed to mean? Jack looked over Caleb, only ever so briefly. He just wasn't willing to believe it...not yet. "Jack, dude we need to grab lunch," Cameron said coming up behind him. "Ok, well I'll see you around dude," Jack said with a small wave to Caleb. "See you," Caleb said in response. He watched Jack as he walked out, and felt a million feelings hit him all at once. It just didn't seem like it was coincidence. Then suddenly he realized something; he was attracted to the boy, and he had forgotten about Alex completely. Wait...WHAT!! NOOOOO, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING CALEB GET... "Caleb, are you ok?" Caleb looked over to see Martin looking at him with a concerned face. He quickly changed his expression, and once again had his normal, carefree look. "Yea I'm fine, why'd you ask?" "Well you were just staring at the door for the last three minutes," Martin said, his face still showing concern. Caleb hadn't realized it had been that long; it only seemed like a few moments. "Oh, well I was just off in thought. But hey, why not we grab some food with Alex?" Caleb said, trying to change the topic. "Well sure, if you're hungry. I'll grab Alex," Martin said as he walked to go get Alex. Caleb looked away and began to wonder what the hell was going on with him. Alex, Martin, and Caleb sat on the outdoor patio of the small restaurant where they were eating. They were just making small chat about nothing in particular when Caleb looked down the block. There he saw Jack with the other two boys again. Jack happened to look his way and gave him a small wave. Caleb quickly waved back and smiled. A black Toyota 4 runner pulled up and the three boys walked up to it. "Who're you waving at?" Alex asked as he looked behind them to see the three boys getting into the car. "Oh well he's just someone I met at the arcade. His name's Jack" "That's Cameron and Isaac with him," Alex noted. "You know them?" Martin asked in curiosity. "Yea they are friends of Jacob and were at his birthday party. I think they are your brother's friends also," Alex said. "Oh yea...I remember them now," Martin said, now remembering back. So that's how I can get to know him Caleb suddenly shivered. He realized he was doing it again, and had to stop himself now. He couldn't let his guard down; he only had one love in this world. I just can't....I just can't...I just can.... Jack sat in his room upstairs; the afternoon light filtering through his shades and only slightly illuminating his room. His clothes were strewn in a carefree manner across the floor like any teen's room. There were posters of cars and videogames across the walls. He had a small TV hooked up to his Xbox 360. His bed was a mess on the opposite corner and in the middle between the two windows that overlooked the street was his desk. Piled with books, worksheets, pencils, and anything else that would suitably be strewn across a teenage boy's desk was likely there, you just had to search for it a bit through the piles. Jack sat there at his desk, his bible out in front of him, his hands clutching his head, pushing his hair back. His face contorted as he felt the internal turmoil brew over like a pot of water that was ready to boil. He felt the sweat bead his face as he let the drops run down his cheeks and onto his neck. If I was gay maybe I would say that boy was cute Jack took a deep breath in If I was gay, maybe I would say I think I like his brown eyes and hair Jack took another breath, and felt the sweat run down his neck. He felt the fan's cool air beat against the back of his head and relieve him of the heat. If I was gay, maybe I would want to see him without his shirt on. Maybe I'd want to touch his chest with my hands Jack's eyes softened as his face relaxed. He felt his breath increase in pace, and without thinking about it he reached his hand down to his crotch and began to lightly rub across it. If I was gay maybe I'd want to feel his lips...on my lips Jack felt his penis as it started to grow stiff. He began to rub more vigorously with his hand and felt the precum begin to wet his gym shorts. If I was gay, maybe I'd want to reach my hand down to his lower back, and then maybe feel his butt. Maybe I would say it was perfectly round when I saw it Jack felt his breath begin to increase as the sweat continued to form a film over his body. His heart rate increased as he started to rub up and down on his now fully erect penis. He even was beginning to make light moaning noises without realizing it. If I was gay, maybe I'd reach down to his waistband and reach in to touch his...OH GOD WHAT WAS I THINKING? Suddenly Jack gasped as he threw up his head and straightened up against the back of his chair. His eyes widened as he his mouth gaped open and desperately began to pull in air in staccato pants of breath. He reached up with his right hand to clutch the silver cross that clung to his chest. Its silver chain glimmered ever so slightly. But I'm not one of them, I'm a happy straight Christian boy. I'm straight, I know this. My parents know this. The pastor knows this. Jessica knows this. God knows this, he can only make straight people Jack looked down at his bible again and saw it open. He looked at it and breathed in. Yes...it's just God testing me. I know I'm ok, I'm not going to fall for this deceit. I'm a happy straight Christian boy. Jack again tried to relax. He leaned back in his chair and let the cool air from the fan run over his face and down his neck as the sweat ran in trails down his body. The particles lightly flowed through the air and glistened in the darkened room. The carpet was softly pressing against his feet as he rubbed them back and forth over it. If I was gay, maybe I'd think about all that, but I'm not, I'm a happy straight Christian boy who has a wonderful girlfriend and has no desire to commit sinful acts like that. I won't fall from God's plan, never again. Authors Note: So it looks like maybe there is hope for Caleb? What do you think is going to happen with Jack? Do you think something might happen between him and Caleb? Do you think either one will be able to overcome their own problems and come together? So I know this may be a particularly touchy subject, Christianity and being gay. I know it was for me growing up, and though I went through a phase of Atheism I am now a proud and quite happy Presbyterian, PCUSA branch (I was raised a Methodist, and my family has been since the founding of Methodism so me being Presbyterian's a bit against the grain). So I felt maybe it would be appropriate to include a conflict that was based in an area that is a problem for many gays growing up in the United States.
