"I need your help." "Yes, Grandfather?" answered Andrew. "Boys, I have a task for you. There is someone who needs your help, they're locked up in the Marquise's Villa in the countryside. I would like you to go there and free him, and bring him to me." "But how, Grandfather? The Villa is locked up, it's overgrown with weeds and vines, and you said that you don't know if anyone even lives there anymore. How can you be sure that there is someone who needs our help?" "Andrew, listen to me. There is someone in there, and that someone needs our help. I have told you many stories about the Marquise De Tromperie, and now the time has come for you to experience just exactly how she is. I'll come with you, just in case you need my help in the event of any danger. But if we are to make it in time before it's too late, we have to leave now." "What about Father?" asked a worried Andrew. "I'll deal with him, just get going. We don't have any time to spare, we must make haste." replied the impatient Vieux. With that, Monsieur De Vieux, Andrew and Johnathan sped off into the night, heading for the Marquise's Villa. When Vieux, Andrew and Johnathan reached their destination, they looked around to see if they could find an entrance, but all that filled their eyes was an entire garden of vines and shrubs surrounding the Villa. After deciding that there was no other option, they decided to try to get in through one of the windows. "Andrew, Johnathan, I'm going to lift you up in through the window. I need you to forget that I am here and just go and search the Villa for any secret passageways. I need you to find the creature that's chained up, and get him out. Free him of the bonds that bind him and he will help you. But as a word of caution, beware of the Marquise De Tromperie, don't let her find you and always stick together. Don't separate, she won't harm you if you're together." stated Vieux. "What about you, grandfather?" asked Andrew. "Don't worry about me, I'll be fine. I can take care of myself." With that Monsieur de Vieux lifted the boys in through the window, by allowing them to climb onto his shoulders before clambering off into the Villa itself. The sight that laid before their eyes was magnificent indeed; a room so bare, but along the tops of walls were flowing golden streams moulded into the edges of the ceiling. Statues and furniture laid strewn around the space and covered by cloth, collecting dust, obviously treasures of the past that were now forgotten. Hanging from the middle of the ceiling was a grand and elegant golden chandelier, with at least a thousand candles seated on it's rims, which also seemed to be a now forgotten treasure, collecting dust. The boys could imagine the life that once took place in this specific room, and finally understood one part of the Monsieur's stories. The atmosphere of the room made them feel so light, as if they were walking on air. Something changed in their demeanour, as a feeling of warmth and contentment swept over them. They felt so calm, so free of worry; they looked uo at the chandelier, the candles that seemed so blank and old immediately blazed anew with fire. The room lit up so brightly and the flames began to dance; they took shape creating two images; one of a lion proud and strong, and the other of a white leopard sleek and gentle. They strode towards each other, until they met in the middle, held their paws out to the other, and touched. "A beautiful image isn't it? So picturesque and beautiful; pity the prophecy just shown won't be allowed to come true." stated a dark silhouette softly. As soon as those words had come out into the air the image broke in two, in less time than it had taken for the image to take form. Johnathan and Andrew stood stunned and speechless, their eyes fixated on the person who had just come out of the shadows. A tall man in ebony apparel stood there. with his feet floating just a couple of inches above the ground. Grasped in his right hand was a staff with a dragon's head crafted into its top, with a bright colourless gem held in between its jaws, a gem not yet seen or known by the boys. "Sheiska, attack them!!" commanded the man. A midnight purple drake leapt out from the shadows, heading straight for the boys, yet they couldn't move. Their feet kept a fixed position on where they were standing. The drake stretched out her paw, and from her claws a stream of purple energy was aimed at the boys. It hit its' mark and Johnathan and Andrew were knocked out cold, instantly falling to the marble floor. The drake went over to them, opened her jaw and two 8 inch incisors were exposed. "Stop! They can't be harmed, the Marquise was very clear on that, and unless you want to spend the rest of your life as a bust on her wall, you should put those fangs away. Help me take them to a cell, the Marquise will pay them a visit soon, she's looking forward to seeing them face to face." With that Andrew and Johnathan were levitated (as the Marquise wanted them in perfect shape) through many different corridors and staircases, taken through a tour of nearly the whole Villa, until they reached the dungeon. Out cold, here they were placed into a cell of their own, now awaiting the Marquise's judgement, not knowing what fate had just befallen them. "They're locked up Madame, ready for when you want to see them." "Thank you Ingenieux, you may go. You gave done your duty." replied Tromperie. When Andrew woke up, the first sight that came to his eyes was of Johnathan looking right at him, deep into his eyes. There was a new sensation in the room, one that seemed to make all the horrible events that had just occurred disappear into space. A special warmth seemed to have spread over the room; Johnathan couldn't resist any longer, he inched his facer closer and closer to Andrew's. Slowly Andrew seemed to have gotten entranced and inched his face towards Johnathan's as well. Then it happened. Their soft, young, boyish lips touched and massaged the others in a kiss, and both boys felt like they were in heaven. Their arms instinctively slid and entwined around one another, drawing themselves closer and deeper into each others' embrace. What they weren't aware of was that they were now encased in a transparent sphere of fire and water, born from their powers that had just been unlocked by their kiss. Johnathan's powers came from the Sun and Andrew's came from the Moon. Little did they know just how powerful they were destined to become together, and how significant a difference they'd make in the world. "Oooooohhh, what do have here, a special pair indeed." cackled Tromperie.
