After rubbing my head and yawning, we looked at each other and started to chuckle. The disturbance woke us up enough to preclude getting back to sleep right away, so we chatted softly about our likes in music and tv. Chris was more in heavy metal and police shows, where-as i had a more eclectic taste in music. We settled down and played some more with our bodies, but just lightly. No hugging or rubbing, just touching occasionally and enjoying the sensations. We did not go all the way to orgasm, and again grew to yawning our heads off and wanted to get some more sleep. All told that nightm we slept maybe 3 hours, finally waking up about 7 as my sister banged her way getting a bowl for her cereal. Chris and I both had to pee, so we got our underwear from the floor and in turn, went to releive ourselves. We got some cereal of our own and Chris decided he needed to head home to do his chores and run some errends with his mom. I thought we might hook up later. I might as well as use the time to spend time with my own Mom and Sister. My Dad had to go out of town for work, and would be gone all day. I wished I could go with him, but a co-worker would be with him, so no go. We got dressed and I walked with Chris to his bike to say goodbye. "I enjoyed last night and hope to see you again Chris." He flashed me his now familiar grin and nooded. " Me too dude. Catch you later. I will give you a buzz when I know more. Maybe we can hook up this afternoon or tomorrow. I should spend the night at home. so my mom does not get too buggy. See Ya. " With that he rode away ,and coasted down the hill. I watched for a few seconds and went on inside. The day passed pretty quickly, as after doing some cleaning and finishing the rest of the unpacking and straightening of the possessions we had brought, my Mom packed Christina and myself into the car to go for a drive. We drove all along the coast up to Pebble Beach and then went to park in Pacific Grove. It was originally a retreat for religious folks at the turn of the century, Lots of old Victorian style houses and open spaces in the neighborhoods. Nice town to drive in, but I liked a little more bustle and excitement. After the walks we drove up Highway 68 West and on the outskirts of Pebble Beach, made our way to Hwy 1. We had the choice to head to Del Monte Shopping Center, or go a couple miles south to Carmel and Carmel Valley. The fog was well clear from shore and with a pleasant day, we were in unison to check out the artist town of Carmel-by-the Sea. This village has no numbers on their streets and until Clint Eastwood became Mayor, you could not even buy an ice-cream cone to lick as you walked along the streets and sidewalks. Lots of artist studios and galleries, small gift shops, and hole in the wall curio stores. Much of the stuff was too expensive and over priced, but it was nice to window shop and just follow our whims. A lot of fun that day. We finally got home close to 6, being hungry and tired from all the walking we had done. Christina took off to see Ashley and my mom and I just made some sandwiches and chips to eat. My dad had called and said he was delayed in a meeting and would not be home until late that night. I had hoped to hear from Chris but he never called. As I still did not have his number, I was in limbo and wondered what had happened. The rest of the weekend was used to explore town and reading, Chris never called or stopped by, and I decided not to stress on it. I made it to Dennis the Menace Park and had fun there, casually hanging out with some other kids, but not making friends. I looked at the ball park and learning that I could still join a baseball team, but that would have to wait till Monday or Tuesday as the coach of the team I might join was out of town. Monday arrived and with that, SCHOOL! I was a pretty good student and was ready and willing to start at the new school. Easter Vacation was over and so I was to be thrown into a class of kids my age. The three of us, My mom, sister, and myself, spent about 2 hours processing paperwork and being shown around Del Monte Elementary. I was to be in Mister Omen's 5th grade class. With a piece of paper in hand and the assistant secretary, I was shown to where I would finish out the year. Walking through the door, I saw at the head of the room an older man, in his 50's. He wore thick square glasses, a head of hair that had receded quite a bit, and was wearing an awful stripped suit. He had tried to do a comb-over to hide his balding head, but it was just silly. He looked up as I entered and motioned for me to come up. The assistant just said, " New student Mr. Omen. " and then left to go back to get my sister. I saw that the class was all looking at me and a little self conscious, I strode to give the teacher my paperwork and see where he was going to place me. I looked the other kids over and saw that Chris was not here, but one boy I had met at the park was. I recalled his name was Noah. Red hair and Brown eyes, stocky build, and about my height. He gave me a single nod and turned to talk to another boy while the teacher was occupied with me. Mr. Omen finished looking over the paper and then faced me." You can sit there, " pointing at an empty desk in the middle of the 3rd row. I had girls in front of me, back , and to the left. The single boy on the right seemed to not look at me as I went to my seat. I did notice that he had brown hair that hung near his shoulders and covered part of his face. I wondered what his name was. The teacher moved on with the lesson, History and the day started to pass. I kept up with what was being taught, as history was one of my favorite subjects. Lunch arrived and we walked to the cafeteria. I got my lunch and found a seat near Noah and the boy that was next to me in class. Noah just nodded to me again and went on talking with his friend, who I heard was named John. The brown haired boy I was so curious about still said nothing even after I said hi, just looking down at his bag lunch and seeming to ignore everyone else. I shrugged and went to eat. The girl who sat in front of me looked over at me and asked. " So where are you from Charlie? " " Long Beach. Just moved here last week. What's your name? I did not catch it before. " She smiled at me. " Ann Marie. I saw you at Valinizzia's yesterday. I'm your next door neighbor. I would have said something then, but I had to get home. So do you like Monterey so far? " Its nice so far, still getting used to it. Lived here long? " I asked her. Seemed ok , if a bit flighty. She had black hair and dark brown eyes. Looked like she might be Italian. Lots of Italians from what I learned. Leftovers from the canning companies and fishing boats. Thin and fair skinned. Kinda pretty, but not my type. " All my life. So made any friends yet? " " Just one. Haven't seen him though. today. Maybe you know him, Chris? Brown hair and rides a dirt bike? Lives near the laundry mat? " I finished the last to see if she had any recognition. She shook her head, but I saw that there was a reaction from Noah. He did not say anything, but I saw his head turn towards me and look for a second, before turning back to his friend. I finished lunch and did not talk anymore with anyone. I was interested with the longhaired shy boy, but could not seem to get his attention with my eyes. I decided I would just walk up to him once we were down eating. I tossed away my scrapes and put the tray away and went out to the playground. There was a decent size field where a lot of the kids were running about and hanging out. I looked off to the far right and saw the boy near the sandbox, sitting on the barrier. I walked over to him and was able to see that he was running his hand along, kinda like as a spider or a bug might walk. I got close and called out . " Hi, I'm Charlie. Mind if I join you? " He stopped and looked at me. He took his left hand from the sand and rubbed it against his leg. He brushed the hair from his eyes and I was able to see he had hazel eyes and a keenness in his pupils." Yeah, I heard. My name's David. if you want to sit, I don't mind. " He stopped with that and went back to his playing. I sat down and joined him with the hand bug and we just fooled around quietly for a few minutes, tuning out the other kids. Then he stopped and started to speak. " So what do you like to do when your not at school? " I replied " Well I like to read, go riding on my bike, playing with my Star Wars stuff, and having fun with friends. I have been hanging over at the Park, Dennis the Menace. Pretty cool place. Hope to join a baseball team, but will not know until I get home. You? " " Well I got an Atari I use, as well as bike riding. I heard you were friends with Chris. Watch out for him. He can be nasty. He can act all nice, but can then turn on you. Did it to me when I moved here. " He shook the hair from his eyes and then looked away from me. He seemed to look off back towards the classes. I turned myself and after a sec, I saw what had his attention. There was Chris, laughing with a couple of kids, older, probably 6th graders. His eyes seem to catch sight of me, but as I waved , he just looked away with a shake of his head. He made some comment to his buddies and they all cracked up. Now what was HIS problem? Had he decided he no longer wanted to be friends? Then the bell rung, I would have to wait for any answers. _________________________________________________________ Ok all, that is the end of Chapter 5. Still more to share if you want.
