Date: Wed, 15 Sep 2004 23:02:08 -0500 From: John Smith Subject: The Overnighter Ch 5. DISCLAMER- This story is a pure work of fiction. I got bored and decided to write an ongoing story. I started this late at night and I used Notepad so the spelling and grammar are a little off. The usual warnings apply here. Don't read if you're not allowed or if you don't want to. If you're under the legal age and don't give a flying $*@& about the rules, then enjoy :) Note from the Author: This chapter is way over-due but I had some problems due to this story. Anyways, this will be a very short chapter as I'm getting a writer's block... sry =\ I woke to the sound of my alarm going off. I hit it off the table because I was too lazy to actually turn it off. I woke up the other three and told John he better hurry if he wants to get home in time. "Alright, I'll see y'all later then. Same time next weekend?" John asked as he started getting dressed "Sounds good to me, sexy," Dave said with a quick kiss. "Oh come on. Get a room you two!!!" I yelled and threw a pillow at the two. I walked John to the door and then went to bathroom to relieve myself. As I was walking back to my room my mom handed the phone to me and said it was Chris's mom and that she needed to speak with him immedately. I walked into the room and tossed him the phone as I tackled Dave on the bed and started tickeling him to death. "Shut the hell up!" Chris screamed, on the verge of crying. "What's wrong?" I asked and sat down next to him on the floor. Chris hung up the phone and said, "My dad was in an accident. A drunk driver hit his car going 95 mph and left my dad in critical condition as the other guy walked away unhurt. My mom's at the hospital while they're performing surgery on him. She said she would be there all of today and tomorrow and wasn't going to leave his side. So I need a place to stay for a few days." After the last sentence he just burst into tears and grabbed my arm. I pulled him closer and told him it would be alright. "I know what you're going through, Chris. The same thing happened to me. I lost my dad in a car accident when I was four. You'll work through it. I know you can. I'll be with you every step of the way. I love you very much and you can stay with us as long as you need." I said as I tried to calm him down. "Hey, I'm really sorry about what happened, but I have to go before my mom calls and I get grounded." Dave said embarrised. "Alright, we'll see you on Monday," I said. "And Dave, don't forget; I love you and John too. If anything ever happens, you both have a place to stay and a person to come to." I stood up and gave Dave a tight hug. After a quick goodbye and a few tears, Dave left and let me be alone with Chris. I picked him up and set him on the bed with his chest tight against mine. He started to cry again but I just let it happen. After a while he fell asleep exausted from the crying. I got out of bed and pulled the covers over him to keep him warm. After getting dressed, I went downstairs to tell my mother the bad news about Chris's dad. When I came back up, Chris was just finishing getting dressed. His eyes were red and watery from the crying still. "Hey, you ok?" I asked him. "What the hell do you think? My dad almost died!" he screamed at me as he ran by. "Chris wait!" But it was too late. He was out the front door by the time I even got one shoe on. I went out looking for him, but lady luck wasn't on my side. I looked at his house, Dave's house, John's house, down by the creek, and everywhere else I could think that he may have gone. I was about to give up and was walking home when I passed Dave's house as he ran out. He sprinted over and said Chris called to say to stop trying to look for him. He wasn't going back and he never would.... >>Just wanted to say sorry for the no sex, >>short chapter and a very boring chapter, >>but im feeling like shit and I'll get the next chapter out within the next >>few days. >>Just another reminder, dont contact me at >>my old email.
