I felt disoriented as my bleary eyes tried to adjust to the darkness of the room. There was an eerie yellow and orange light flickering from underneath the bedroom door. My nostrils flared at the foul scent of sulfur and thick blankets of smoke billowed around me, stinging my eyes and making it difficult to stumble around the room. Heat emanated from all around me, and the door knob had become hot to the touch. I pulled off my pajama top and wrapped it around my hand, then opened the door. I was struck by a wall of heat that whooshed past me, forcing me to step back and shield my face. I stumbled out into the hallway, and was horrified to see rivulets of flame that seemed to be crawling up the corners of the walls and ceiling like glimmering serpents. “Mom! Dad! Paul!” I screamed, but nobody responded. I looked down the length of the hallway, as the heat caused beads of sweat roll down my smooth, bare chest. I instinctively ran toward my brother’s room, as I replayed Danny’s terrifying memory. Just as I reached for the door knob, something caught my attention at the end of the hallway. I looked up and saw something staring at me through the hallway window. What was left of my rationale adult consciousness would be tempted to dismiss the visage of the flaming specter of death staring at me through the window, but Danny’s sheer terror at the sight of the image precluded any simple logical explanation. I have to admit though, the shimmering image cloaked in the swirling grey shroud seemed to follow my every movement. Like Danny, I pushed the image from my mind, and used the t-shirt to turn the doorknob and enter my brother’s room. He was still asleep but coughing heavily as I approached the bed. I called out to him as I ripped the sheets down, exposing his shuddering naked form. I was surprised when I looked down at Paul was sporting an erection. I realized it was the first time that Danny had ever seen that, and he was briefly distracted by this curiosity. I could feel my heart begin to race as I reached out to touch him. Remembering the danger around me, I did the only thing that Danny could think to do and slap Paul’s face, and shake him. As he woke up with a start, I sensed something watching me through the bedroom window. I looked up and again saw the face staring at me, and as the window shattered I awoke with a scream. I think what frightened me the most, was the sudden sense that the creature was cognizant of my presence, along with Danny. Paul tightened his grip on my naked body and kissed my cheek. “You’re safe with me.” “I saw it again,” I whispered, fighting back a sudden surge of terror. “I won’t let it get you. That’s a promise!” Paul said. I strained to find an explanation for the entity, such as a reflection off the glass or an illusion caused by the smoke and heat. “It was supposed to take me away, I wasn’t supposed to get away. That’s why it’s hunting me.” I whispered. I felt Paul’s body instinctively shudder, and I knew instantly that he had likely seen it too. He tightened his grip on me and shook his head. “Don’t think about it Danny, it wasn’t real,” he tried to assure me. It was then I realized that Danny firmly believed that the monster was real, and the reasoning for the car accident was that creature trying to steal his life away. I sat up on the edge of the bed, and buried my face in my hands as tears began to stream down. “Now he’s going to hunt you too,” Danny’s subconscious warned me. Paul sat beside me and gently massaged my bare back. “Whatever happens, we’ll get through it. Just like we always do. Even if it was real, you’re braver and smarter than it is,” Paul said confidently. I looked over at my brother, and leaned in to kiss him. He always knew the right thing to say when I needed to hear it. “I love you,” I whispered. “Are you OK now?” he asked. My mind was still reeling with the memories of what Danny had seen on that night and on subsequent occasions. I wanted to ascertain a clear scientific rationale for the vision to set Danny’s mind at ease. However, I had to balance the fact that my presence in Danny’s body and his apparent gift for precognition meant that there might be something to his fears. Regardless, I knew that it was my job to help protect Danny and his brothers from this threat, whether it be real or imagined. I couldn’t stifle the sudden giggle that escaped my lips. Paul cocked his head curiously and asked me what was so funny. “I saw your stiffy that night you know.” Paul laughed and shook his head. “You never told me that before.” “I wanted to touch it,” I said matter-of-factly. “Oh? Anything else?” Paul asked, his cock rapidly inflating. “I wanted to taste it too,” I replied. Danny’s memories unlocked his latent desires, as the heat that had swept across his body wasn’t just the fire. It was his first real homosexual expression and seeing his brother in that state had unlocked it. I looked over at Paul and smiled, “And there were lots of other things I thought about after too.” Paul leaned back in the bed and spread his legs apart. “Maybe you should show me.” I stood up and got between Paul’s legs, my smooth body was bathed in the moonlight streaming through the window, my own uncut stiffy swaying as I ran my hands down my chest and ass. I started off by gently touching and massaging his cock and balls. Paul moaned softly as I kneeled down beside the bed and pulled his foreskin back so I could taste his tip. “That’s the first thing I wanted to do,” I told him. I then allowed it to disappear into my mouth, as my small fingers rubbed and massaged his balls. I bobbed my head up and down, and relished the beads of precum that formed at the tip. As I felt his balls inflate, I stood up and walked over to the desk in front of the bedroom window. I looked out the window, down at our front yard and the street. There wasn’t any activity outside the occasional passing car. However, we perceived Danny’s creature staring up at us from the shadows. I placed my left foot on the desk and spread my legs, and let the whole sleeping world, passing cars and Danny’s creature gaze upon our unabashedly bare body. I would not allow anyone human or supernatural steal Danny or his brother’s away from this world. As I played with my stiffy, Paul knelt behind me and inserted his tongue into my hole. I gently rubbed my chest by making slow circular motions using my left hand, while playing with my foreskin with my right hand. A man walked by the house walking his dog. He briefly glanced up at the window several times, though I couldn’t be sure whether he saw me or Paul. I’m sure I was visible though, because the moonlight had cast my body in a pale, blueish light that caused some of the small beads of perspiration of glimmer. Danny always hoped he could bring joy to people, whether it meant some performing some random act of kindness, or yielding to some naturalistic carnal desire. I gasped as Paul spread my ass cheeks apart and slipped his cock inside me. He placed his hands against my hips and began sliding in and out of me, as I continued to explore my body and play with my cock. I threw my head back and licked my lips as Paul quickened his pace until we both crested in waves of pleasure, before reluctantly returning to the bed for a more restful sleep. When I awoke, sunshine was streaming through the window and Paul was gone. I remembered that this was a school day, so it meant that Mikey would be gone too. I climbed out of bed, tossed on some pajama bottoms and headed out to the kitchen. Mom greeted me with a smile, and quickly offered me some eggs and toast which I eagerly accepted. She asked me how I slept, and I responded fine. She gave me a look that indicated she might have heard me scream, but she didn’t push me. I immediately felt guilty, but I knew this had occurred before. “You know your dad and I are always here for you,” she said with a smile. Soon the kitchen was filled with the aroma of sizzling eggs as I set about idly playing with a storm trooper action figure that had been lying on the counter. “I know mom, I love you,” I responded. She cast a smile at me and handed me a plate with my breakfast. “Think you’ll be ready for school next week?” she asked. That’s something I’d not considered since the accident. Danny was a school boy, and he’s already missed a couple weeks. I had loathed most of my own school days, though it seemed Danny had a better time of it. He was so naturally outgoing and likeable, in addition to being something of an athlete. Danny longed to see his friends, and so by extension I too longed to return. I knew this wouldn’t be completely easy, as Danny did have a couple of bullies and a hint of homophobic worries, but for the most part his memories were positive and so I promised that I’d do my best to keep them that way. I think Danny was more worried about the bus rides and anything else that might put his life at risk, but then that’s why I’m here. “Yes mom, I think I’ll be ready.” She leaned down and kissed my forehead gently, “Nothing ever holds you back.” “No mom, not anything!” I said, causing her to laugh. I sensed there was a memory concerning school that Danny was locking away, though I had the sense it was something a little naughty. But that was par for the course with Danny, and would represent one more interesting challenge that sometimes I think Danny orchestrated on purpose. Though, I must admit that I enjoyed these little challenges, for some reason they made me, well perhaps us, feel so alive. “Are they going to keep me back mom?” I asked. “I don’t think so, but I’m going to see if you can do some work at home, so that you’ll not be that far behind when you return,” she responded. “What about….” I began to ask. I wondered if Danny’s mom was precognitive, because she cut me off. “I’m sorry Danny, wrestling will have to wait.” I felt my heart deflate a little, and mom knew this would be a sore subject. “Now Danny, the doctor said you will need a couple months to make a full recovery. There will always be next year, and if the doctor says it’s alright, then you may still be able to work out with the team.” I forced a smile and sighed, “OK mom.” I excused myself from the kitchen and sat down in the living room and turned on some cartoons. I gathered some of Mikey and my star wars action figures, along with a set of Lego blocks. I tried my best to creature some crude AT-ATs, and placed my storm troopers and Imperial officers inside then, while marshalling the Rebels and Luke around them, then made little laser blast sounds with my lips. While the commercials were on, I’d flick the TV over to the financial news network. I caught my mother giving me strange looks. At first I thought it was because of my little battle sprawled out on the carpet, then I realized it was my oscillating between cartoons and financial news. Old habits die hard I guess, but I figure dad may need financial advice someday soon. I couldn’t help but giggle, the toys were more fun but I took some delight at the prospect of being able to teach my parents something too. I spent most of the afternoon playing with my action figures, stopping only to fire up the console and play a few games. There was a knock on the door around mid-afternoon, and much to my delight it was Ryan. I was so excited that I actually found it difficult to express how glad I was to see him. Ryan flashed an awkward smile, as if the feeling was mutual. I finally found my voice, “I’m really glad to see you Ryan. I missed you.” Ryan’s smile broadened, “I really missed you too.” We stared at one another until mom said, “Are you going to invite him inside?” Mom gave me a knowing grin. It was one of those “I know what that look means Danny, and it’s alright,” approving smiles and it made me feel good. It’s amazing what a simple look or smile can mean from a parent who loves and knows you can do. I invited Ryan inside, and lead him over to my sprawling mess on the living room floor as Ryan updated me on his own recovery. He sat close enough to me that I could feel his body heat, and I found it difficult to resist leaning over to kiss him as he helped me build an ion cannon tower. The sunlight through the living room window made Ryan’s platinum hair seem to almost glow, and it made me smile more. It felt as though I’d known Ryan for far longer than I had, but I’ve come to understand that perhaps Danny just has that effect on people and perhaps he and Ryan were kindred souls in that respect. “Danny, why don’t you and Ryan move all that to your room,” mom suggested. I quickly took the hint, secretly relishing a little privacy with Ryan anyways. Perhaps mom knew that too, and the grin that crossed his lips indicated to me that Ryan was on the same wavelength. We carefully scooped up all my figures and creations and brought them into the bedroom. I closed the door behind us, and we both stared at one another awkwardly for a moment as we did at the front door. This time I leaned forward, and Ryan met me half way so that our lips met at the middle. “I’m so glad you came to see me. I missed you!” I exclaimed. Ryan smiled shyly, “I’d been thinking of you all week.” He leaned in for another stolen kiss that lasted much longer this time. I leaned into him. His hand disappeared inside my pajama bottoms, as I unbuttoned his school slacks and felt his bulge gently. We performed this activity for several moments until my mom called out, asking if we’d like some milk and cookies. We both flushed crimson and began giggling out of embarrassment and a little frustration. “Yes mom, be there in a minute!” I shouted back. We learned in and continued for a few more seconds before reluctantly straightening ourselves out, trying to hide our erections as we headed toward the kitchen to fetch mom’s offering. After gratefully accepting the bounty of chocolate milk and cookies, we returned to the bedroom and talked for a while as Ryan surveyed the room carefully. He was guessing between which posters and items we’re mine and Paul’s, and he did fairly well. “So how come you guys sleep together?” Ryan asked. I nearly choked on the response and stuttered nervously. “Err, why do you think we sleep together.” Ryan tilted his head and looked confused. “We’ll there’s two beds in the room and your stuff is in here?” Upon realizing Ryan was simply asking why we shared a room, I turned bright red. “Oh, well we had our own rooms in our old house. But, when it burned down we both had trouble sleeping so we started sharing a room,” I explained. Ryan’s eyes narrowed a little, but he nodded and began inquiring about the fire. I knew it was something that Danny didn’t like discussing, but I knew that had to change so I explained my memories of that night, to his astonishment and sympathy. Ryan glanced around and spotted the photo of Tommy on the desk. “Hey, who is that?” he asked, motioning toward the desk. “Oh, that’s Paul’s boyfriend,” I quipped, before realizing what I had just said. Ryan’s eyes widened a little, and I could almost see the gears turning in his head as he contemplated by previous discomfort with our room arrangement. “Uh, Danny… Do you and your brother… I mean, do you guys….” The poor kid stumbled over his words, but I knew exactly what he was thinking. “Yeah we do, sometimes,” I responded. This really wasn’t an accidental reply. I really did want to be honest and open with Ryan, even if it meant risking our relationship. Ryan paused long enough to give me a fright, before his face softened. “Sometimes I wish I had a brother,” he replied, flashing me a mischievous grin. “Well, you have me now,” I responded. Ryan leaned in and gave a quick kiss, his eyes darting toward the door as my mother came down the corridor. Ryan looked back at the picture of Tommy, before looking me in the eyes. “Have the three of you ever….. Played around?” I gave Ryan a wicked grin, figuring this was my opportunity to sell the idea of accepting both my brother and Tommy as part of our relationship. “Well, sometimes we do. I mean, it’s just so…incredible.” Ryan tilted his head and shrugged his shoulders, “What do you mean.” “Just imagine, all of our bodies touching. All of those tongues, and really tight holes. So many things to feel and explore, so much love to share,” I said breathlessly, as I thought about our last encounter together. Ryan looked down at the bulge in my pajama bottoms again, then looked into my eyes. “Wow, you guys do everything together? Everything we did?” he asked. “Everything and even more! But Tommy is Paul’s boyfriend and they love each other. I’m just a friend of Tommy but I love my brother. And so I guess we kind of share that together, if that makes any sense.” Ryan leaned back, lost in thought. I could see concern written in his face, but I could also see the bulge in his slacks. “Because you both love your brother, but I guess in a little different way than Tommy. But, you share the fooling around because love is love, I guess my dad would say,” Ryan mused. He looked back at the picture and grinned, “Well, he is cute and so is your brother. But they’re not as cute as you.” Now it was my time to blush again, and we climbed on top of him and kissed him until we heard my mother coming back down the hall. “Ryan, do you think your dad will let you sleep over this weekend?” I asked. A shy grin crossed his face, and his bulge got a little bigger. He bit his lower lip, and I knew he was struggling with the concept of having his sexuality not only known, but experienced with someone other than me. I felt a little guilty about springing this on him, but I thought it would be worse to find out about our complex relationships later. “Well, I guess as long as my homework is taken care of. It’s just, well I’ve not done a sleep over since I was little,” Ryan said with a sigh. “Oh, how come?” I asked. Ryan looked down at the carpet and sighed. He looked a little upset and for a moment I thought that I had hurt him. “Ryan, I’m sorry…” Ryan looked back up and shook his head, “No Danny, you don’t understand. I’ve not had many friends in a while. I don’t know it was like all of a sudden I felt different than the other kids and my friends all kind of drifted away. I knew I’d become different than the other boys, but didn’t really know why, until I met you.” I put my hand on his and clutched it tightly. “You’re going to make new friends Ryan, please believe me.” Ryan smiled, “I’m sure dad will let me sleep over. He said he liked you and your parents. I think he’ll be glad to see me spending time with other kids again. Things haven’t been the same since mom died. I mean that was a long time ago, but I think dad thinks that’s my problem.” I couldn’t help but suspect Ryan’s dad understood more than he realized, but best to leave that idea alone for now. “I still need to ask mom and dad, but I know they’ll say yes,” I said confidently. I could see that Ryan was a little nervous, but I could tell that he longed for my approval. I’d have to be careful about pushing him into anything that made him uncomfortable. We played with the computer for a while until Mikey and Paul got home. I encouraged Ryan to get a little more comfortable with my brothers, before he excused himself to head home for dinner. After cleaning up the room, and watching some television, mom called us to the dinner table. I brought up the idea of having Ryan over for a sleepover. Paul gave me leg a poke under the table, as mom sighed deeply and shook her head. I could tell by the smile and exchange of glances with dad that the answer would be yes. Which was a good thing, since Ryan had texted me nearly simultaneously that his dad had already said yes. We worked out that the day would have to be Saturday night, since my parents wanted to have a family night at the movies and go out Saturday morning. Paul had brought home some homework for me, and so mom and I planned out a schedule for the remainder of the week to try and keep up with the work. It included several chapters on basic algebra, American history and literature. I couldn’t help but grin to myself on how easy this work would be, but as I sat down to read, I discovered that I was at the mercy of my own childish whims and distractions. Though to be honest, I’m not sure that’s much of a difference from my adult life. My head has always been in the clouds, and so has Danny’s. I guess we were a perfect match in that regard. Though, my knowledge if even a bit hazy would still prove invaluable, and my somewhat more mature focus should bring Danny an extra measure of success I believe. When we had a chance to be alone, I confessed to Paul that I had let it slip that he had a boyfriend. He was a little annoyed with me, especially when it came to the nature of our own relationship. However, he understood my concern about surprising Ryan or hurting him by hiding the truth. “Do you want me to sleep in the other room Saturday?” he asked. I thought about it for a moment before responding. “Well, Ryan might like some privacy and I don’t want to pressure him. But, I think he’s interested so maybe we should just wait and see?” Paul nodded his head, “Yeah that sounds like a good idea. I just don’t want to be the one to screw things up for you.” “I’m sure we’ll want to be alone once in a while, like you and Tommy,” I replied. “Whatever you need bro,” Paul said, reaching over to mess up my hair. We tussled on the bed for a while, until dad poked his head into the room and told us to settle down. “Besides, there’s always the tree house. Ryan hasn’t even seen it yet,” I mentioned. “I’m going to have to rock, paper, scissors you for use of that,” Paul said with a smirk. “We can take turns, besides I am betting we will all want to be up there once in a while,” I commented. The next couple of nights I managed to sleep much more soundly, with my young mind already preoccupied with the prospects of Ryan’s overnight visit. Paul helped keep my mind off monsters, by keeping me busy with computer games during the evening, then some late night fun after mom and dad had went to their bedroom for the evening. I also kept Mikey a little involved, though also made an effort to help him with his homework. I felt that brought us closer together than just the sexual play, because I got to play the role of teacher and mentor and I think Mikey appreciated and respected that. I admit it took a couple days to get back into the concept of things like homework. The toys, video games and cartoons proved tempting distractions and resulted in frequent breaks. I had begun building a pod racing track with my Legos, and had made tweaks to how Danny’s stuff was arranged in the bedroom. I guess I was a little more than OCD than Danny, so we debated this internally. I’m glad mom and dad didn’t walk in on those bizarre internal discussions of whether action figures should be grouped by movie franchise, or rank of the character as Danny preferred. The week flew by and I felt as though Danny’s body was steadily recovering with each passing day. Although, excess activity still resulted in very minor dizzy spells, for the most part they passed quickly without needing to lay down. In my heart though, I knew that Danny wouldn’t be wrestling anytime soon. However, I believed that it wouldn’t be more than a couple months before we were practicing again. I had completed the token assignments quickly, and had Paul bring them back to my teachers by Thursday. The principal had discussed the possibility of my needing to do summer school to catch up with other assignments, but I was going to make any effort to avoid that. I had decided to spice up Ryan’s week by taking selfies of myself in front of the full-length mirror wearing nothing but my jock strap. Ryan had told me that his Geography was the most boring of his classes, so I was sure to send them during that class. Of course the thought the teacher might take away his phone and hadn’t occurred to me, but the images had the desired effect and Ryan began sending similar selfies back mostly at night. Although, he did take one in the school bathroom stall which caused even me to blush with excitement. I had no doubt that this weekend would be an exciting experience for all of us, especially Ryan.
