Or Something Like It* I woke up out of a peaceful sleep the next morning. I looked at my clock and it was 10:10. I normally never slept past 10 in the mornings. Its New Years Eve, and we had nothing planned at all. I got out of bed, looking at my stitches on my chest. Not the most glamorous sight, but my scar was getting smaller. Almost time for me to have them taken out. I stretched and walked out of my room and to the guest room, where nobody was. I went to the bathroom, did my business, and then went downstairs. Alex was lying on the couch watching cartoons like a big kid, and Corey was in the kitchen drinking orange juice. "Mornin, all," I said as I came into their view. Alex smiled at me and Corey nodded at me. I went into the kitchen and got a glass out of the cabinet. Corey was sitting at the table, innocently drinking his juice. He was in his pants but nothing else. His hair was all ruffled up and his face looked like he just woke up. The way he looked just turned me on, but I stopped myself because no matter what I thought of Corey, I was with Alex, and I needed to stop thinking of Corey in that way. After I poured my glass of orange juice, I sat in the chair beside Corey. He turned his head to me and smiled a little bit. Shit he was fine. "So.. You think about those papers anymore?" I asked him while sipping on my juice. He had his head tilted now, looking at his glass. "That's all I've been thinking about," he replied, sounding like an innocent kid. "Well I think I have an idea man, we can tell my dad the truth about your dad, and get him to call the people for us. He'll understand and do it," I talked to him, but it seemed to be falling on deaf ears. "No, I can't let you do that, man. I already feel like a freeloader being here with you and your family," Corey said back, but I cut him off. "Man, you can't keep puttin' up with your dad back home, and the faster we get this over with, the faster you can meet your real folks." I tried to convince him. Surprisingly, he gave in. Either he was getting tired of arguing with me, or I was getting really good at this. "Ok, you ask your dad for me, tell me what he says." Corey replied back, finally looking up at me. Those green eyes of his were enough to make anyone fall into a daze. "We can sit him down or whatever and tell him the whole story, and get him to do it for us." I said to Corey, who looked nervous, like it was his first day at school or something. He nodded and that was that. I noticed movement coming toward us through the corner of my eye. "Am I interruptin?" Alex asked as he came into the kitchen. He rinsed out his cup and put it in the dish rack. I looked up at him and he was putting on a red shirt, which matched the shiny red athletic pants he was wearing. He was barefoot, looking cute as he always does in the mornings. "Nah, I'm bout to go get dressed," Corey said aloud as he went up the back staircase. Alex came over to me and we were only inches away from kissing when my dad's voice boomed from the living room. "Max???" his voice seemed to echo around the house as I screamed 'what' back to him. He waltzed into the kitchen where we were. "I have the next couple days off, so what do you guys wanna do?" my dad asked us. Normally he was at work before I even got outta bed, but on days he had off, he tried to make up for lost time by hanging out with us, giving us rides to places or whatever. He was a cool dad. I couldn't help but wonder if Corey would soon have a nice dad like I did. "What are we doin for new years?" I asked him, standing up from the table. Alex stood up with us. "I didn't even think of that... well we can get some fireworks and shoot em," dad suggested, and lacking any better ideas at the moment, me and Alex agreed. "Oh, and Alex, your folks are gonna be back home around 1 or so, the cops know who robbed the store and they said that the robbers aren't any threat to you," Dad added. Alex grinned, said ok, and my dad was headed back to his room. Seconds later, Corey appeared in a tight collared light-blue t-shirt which had light green stripes all over it, with the `A&F' logo imprinted on it, navy blue jean pants with neat holes by the knee area, and brown Birkenstocks on. I tried so hard not to let my mouth drop open. His hair was messy, like he ran his hands through it, and his green eyes could melt you. He had a thin brown laced belt on, matching his shoes. His tight collared shirt exposed his muscular form perfectly, and the sleeves stopped just above the elbows. As he walked to the fridge, my eyes accidentally followed him, and I noticed his jeans were a little tight in the ass area, and his bubble butt was being exploited as well. Alex flicked me, obviously noticing my drooling over my new friend. Corey turned around from the fridge and noticed me and Alex looking at each other like we were hiding something. "What?" Corey asked us, but neither of us answered right away. "Damn Corey, didn't know you modeled on the side," I said to him, checking out his flashy Abercrombie and Fitch attire. He looked down at himself and grinned. "Yea well, when we were at my place, I grabbed some clothes. I bought this outfit last week," Corey told us. Dammit Corey was so sexy, I wondered how I kept myself from climbing all over him. But I remembered - I had Alex. I liked Alex a lot, maybe even loved him, but I was being drawn to Corey like crazy. "I'm goin to get dressed too," Alex said to us as he headed to the stairs. I said the same, and went upstairs. Alex went and grabbed his bag from the guestroom and joined me in my room. He slowly shut the door behind him. "What the hell you doin man, you look like you're goin to rape the poor guy or something," Alex said to me with a slight tone of worry in his voice. I looked at him from my closet door. "Man you see how sexy he is, I can't help it if my eyes wander," I said to him playfully, but somehow I knew that he was getting serious. "Well you better help it, unless you don't want this anymore," he said, and naturally I turned around to see what he was talking about, and he had his rock hard boner poking out through his boxers. He let me see it before he wrapped his hand around it and jerked it a couple of times. I turned all the way around and gave him my full attention, only to have him put it back up in his boxers and continue pulling out his fresh clothes. "What are you doin, man?" I moaned to him, only to get a snicker back from him. "Why don't you ask Corey if you can have some of his man meat," he said, jokingly but he could've really meant what he just said. Maybe he was becoming aggravated with me flirting with Corey, but I didn't get into it with him just then. I noticed my member growing inside my boxers. "I see someone's getting a little too happy," Alex said, referring to my growing pecker. "Its your fault, you bastard," I said back, "don't start the fire unless you can hose me down," I moaned, fondling myself through the thin fabric. In no time he caved, and he was on his knees in front of where I was standing. He pulled my boxers down, and took in the sight of my meat. My pink head was right in front of his lips, and his eyes were fixed on it. He reached and took my member in his right hand and it felt so good already. He began to breathe deeply onto the head and he stuck out his tongue and licked it all around, slowly. My head tilted backward and my right hand went to pinch my nipples. My other hand went to my hip as I stood there waiting. He slowly began pumping my meat with his hand, while he slowly began to take the top half of my dick in his warm moist mouth. I was enjoying every second of it. Too soon though, not even 10 seconds after he started, he got up and left me high and dry. He just pulled off my dick, let me go and went back to the bed and continued messing with his bag. My head snapped back onto my shoulders and my hands fell to my boxers, pulling them up. "What the hell was that for?" I asked, somewhat aggravated. He simply looked at me and told me to tell Corey to finish it for me. I was getting a little pissed. "Why do you keep saying stuff like that?" I asked him, going back to my closet to look for an outfit. He pulled out a tight white muscle shirt and baggy tan cargo pants. He began dressing while he talked. "Man you look at him all funny and googly-eyed every time you see him, and it was obvious just now in the kitchen that you wanted him," he said to me, slipping into his pants. He already had his shirt on by now. He sat back down and put his leg on the bed and began to massage it. It was the same leg that was hurt in the accident. "Look, ok yeah I flirt, but I wouldn't ever make a move on him, you know that right?" I said back to him, walking over to him, still in my boxers. He didn't want to but he smiled up at me as I stood in front of him. I leaned over him and he leaned back, and I climbed on top of him. I leaned over him and he spread his legs apart a little, and I fit my slim form between them. He wrapped his arms lightly around my torso and began rubbing up and down my back. I put my face to his and we began to kiss. At first my lips lightly touched his, and I backed off, as if to tease him. He smirked, and I put my lips back to his, but again pulled away. He smirked again, this time putting his hand behind my head and guiding my face to his. We kissed and our mouths opened, and we began making out. His tongue fought with mine, and our breathing became ruffled and hard. I began pushing my boner into his, although his was covered by those damned pants. I still felt the hard pole underneath all the fabric though, and it felt like bliss. His two hands found their way to the sides of my face, and he pressed them together lightly, and pulled my head away from his. We looked into each other's eyes for a second, and his eyes sparkled. We were about to go in for round two, when we heard hard footsteps coming down the hallway. Knowing the door was unlocked and whoever it was, was not even 2 seconds away from the room, Alex shoved me off of him and I fell hard onto the floor on the other side of the bed, with a loud `thud' booming through the room. "SHIT," I gasped as Corey entered the room to find Alex sitting on the foot of the bed, and my legs coming from behind the bed. "Found it!!" I said, and I got up from the floor, pulling an old sneaker out from under my bed. I held it up in the air, smiling, and pretending like I was just noticing Corey in the room. "Took you guys forever up here!" Corey smiled at us. I got up and walked to the closet, pulled out a light brown Camo Mental shirt, which had a green arrow-like symbol in the middle, some gray baggy Cartel pants and some old black DC shoes. I pulled on my clothes as Corey and Alex made small talk about nothing in particular. "Corey, what you think you wanna do today?" I asked him. He turned to me. "I need a ride to my place.." he said to me. My mouth opened to argue but he stopped me. "I need to finally talk to my dad, tell him how I feel and what I'm doing. I'd better go soon, cuz I know you and your family have something planned for today," he said to me. "No, we were thinking bout getting some fireworks, but that's about it," I told him. He smirked a little but didn't change his mind like I wanted him to. "Well man, I don't wanna bother your folks so can you give me a ride real quick?" He asked me, grabbing his things off the floor. I nodded and gave Alex a look that said I-Have-No-Choice. Alex nodded and got up. "Corey its cool hangin out with you, are you gonna come back later or what?" Alex said to him, giving him a handshake with one hand, hugging with the other. "Maybe, if Max still wants to hang out," he said as they let go of each other. "Yea man, you know how to get here, so whenever you wanna come back, just come." I said to him. We all ended up smiling at each other. We all went to the patio and got the moped to the driveway. We said our byes and Alex watched as me and Corey went zooming down the street. We made our way to Corey's neighborhood and as I was letting him off, he told me to come inside with him. I parked the moped in the driveway, next to his dad's car and we went to the door. We walked inside and noticed his dad sitting there in the living room with a cigarette in his mouth. He turned to look at Corey and Corey spoke to him. "Dad we need to talk," he said. His dad didn't look like he had been drinking yet. "I'll be outside man," I told him as I went out the door. He nodded and shut the door behind me. ---- "Dad, we need to talk about some things," Corey said to his dad, while going to sit in the chair opposite him. His dad said nothing, but looked like he was waiting for his son to continue. "The way you treat me when you get drunk is unreal, and I'm really tired of it," Corey began, but his dad just leaned back onto the chair and continued to puff on his cigarette. So Corey kept going. "We haven't been on good terms in years, and its amazing I'm not fucked up now that I'm old enough to understand everything," he said, realizing his slip of the tongue. He glanced at his dad, who just sat there staring back at him. "When you are sober, we don't talk at all, and when you're drunk, you wanna fight me all the time. Its getting old and ridiculous, dad, and I'm not putting up with it anymore. It doesn't help to cry about it, it doesn't help to run away from it, because no matter what, I know there's no escape from you. Even when I'm spending the night somewhere else, I'm always thinking about the day I have to come back home to face my drunk father. You're always on my mind, and I'm tired of being scared of you. I'm tired of always obeying your every command and I'm tired of not being loved the way a kid should be loved by his father. Some people are out there right now without dads, but I have one and its still like I don't have a dad either. We're always fighting, yelling, or just not talking at all! Its fuckin stupid, dad, and I'm here to tell you--" "Don't you think I realize that, boy??" His dad said his first words since Corey entered the house. Corey had streaming tears rolling down his cheeks now, and his dad's eyes were watering. "Don't you think I know how bad I've messed up? I try to stay sober, but when I am, all I think about is your mom and how nothing is the same around here without her, and the only way to forget about her is to drink--" "Well I've dealt with mom's passing, why can't YOU??" Corey found himself raising his voice, tears still pouring from his face. "I lost mom too, and instead of you mourning with me, making it easier for me by showing me I still had you, you turned around and started drinking. So it was like I lost both my parents at once!" Corey wiped his tears away. His dad stood up, reached in his pocket, pulled out some papers and threw them in Corey's lap. "Those are my papers to the rehab clinic. I'm getting cleaned up and we are gonna act like the family we never had since your mom left." he said to his son. Corey stood up and didn't know what to do. He haven't had a single non-hectic moment with his dad in months. His dad opened his arms and Corey went to him. They hugged and more tears streamed out of Corey's tightly shut eyes. They just stood there, hugging. "I know I've treated you like shit, son, but after I get cleaned up, I'm gonna make up for everything. You don't know how sorry I am for everything, Blake, you just don't know." his dad said, them still hugging and crying. Corey grinned to himself, remembering how when he was growing up, everyone called him Corey except his dad, who called him by his middle name, Blake. They broke the hug and Corey reached his hands inside his pants pockets. "Look at you.. You look good, son, really good." His dad said to him, looking him up and down. Corey smiled through his wet face and he removed his hands from his pockets, accidentally pulling out the yellow adoption papers, and they fluttered to the ground. Before he could act, his dad picked them up for him and read them. He looked at his son in disbelief. "So... you know.. Now you know.." his dad mumbled as his hands slowly fell to his side. Corey focused his gaze on his shoes, like he sometimes did when he was worried. "I bet this guy named Max, and he helped me out the other night when you hit me... and we came back here and we took that letter from you when you grabbed me in the front yard.. And we called the number on it..." Corey was explaining slowly, but his dad interrupted. "So.. What are you gonna do now?" he asked his adopted son, who still stared at the ground, twisting his foot into the carpet. "They said we had to have a guardian call in and get the information..." Corey replied, finally looking up at his dad. There was a brief pause before his dad spoke again. "When your mom - well, adoptive mom and I got together, we soon found out that she was barren. She couldn't have kids, and we were devastated, but soon the idea of adoption came up, and we looked into it. We did all the stuff we needed to do, then a family called us in and interviewed us, and to make a long story short, we adopted you." his dad explained to him. Corey just stood there, silent. "Well..." was all Corey said back, as they stood there, not exactly knowing what to do. Corey noticed his dad walking away, and Corey just stood there, not knowing what to do or think. He heard a beep, and some more beeps, and he looked up to see his dad on the phone. "Yes, Adoption Services? Is this Stacy Vilmer?...." His dad was talking to the case worker! Corey smiled from ear to ear. ---- Corey came back outside to meet me with a big smile on his face. I was surprised. "So what went on in there?" I asked curiously. "Me and my dad made up! We actually had a conversation and we made up!" Corey said to me, still smiling. I could tell he had been crying too. Obviously overjoyed, he reached over and hugged me. I was surprised, but hell, I hugged back. We broke up and he told me more. "He said he was sorry for everything and he was getting into rehab, and he saw the adoption papers I had, and he actually called that woman back!" he continued to explain. I was smiling now too. "Get outta here!" I said, excited for him. "Yea man, and they set up a date for me to meet my real family and everything! Its in a couple days, cuz they've been trying to meet with me forever. My dad's drivin me over to meet everyone," he kept explaining. I was so happy for him. I saw his dad approaching from behind Corey. I looked at him, knowing he knew I was the one that jumped on him. "So is this Max?" his dad said. Corey nodded and his dad looked back at me. "I wanna thank you for helping my son. I know I wasn't exactly the best father in the world, but my boy here is going to meet his real family while I clean myself up. Hell, who knows where I'll be when I'm all fixed." he said to me. I smiled a little, still not knowing how to act around him. "So Corey tells me he wants to spend New Years with you, Max. Is that ok with your folks?" "Oh yea, sure." I said back, still partially smiling my good-boy smile at him. He said ok and gave Corey one more hug. "You guys be careful on that thing now," he said while walking back to the house. He disappeared into the house. I looked back at Corey. "Wow, ya'll went from hating to loving each other all over again!" I said. He smiled and hopped on my moped. We cranked it up and started down the street back to my place. We explained to Alex what happened and Alex hugged Corey too. My mom went shopping while my dad, me and Corey went to the fireworks store and got some rockets, artillery shells and some other stuff. We stopped to eat and my dad really began to like Corey. They talked about Corey's weightlifting achievements and basketball, all the while stuffing their faces with burgers. We all went back to my place and It was mid-afternoon by now, and we shot a few sky rockets into the air. We didn't wanna waste all our stuff before it got dark enough to see the colors, so we went inside and hung out. We got online and surfed the net, played some PS2, watched TV, whatever. I called Tonio but he wasn't answering his phone, so I figured he was out with his family. It was getting dark so we went outside and shot fireworks, saving the big stuff for midnight. We hung out having a blast until around 11:35pm. We were all standing around outside, waiting for the countdown to come when my cell rang. The screen said it was Tonio, so I slid my slider phone open to answer. "Hey boy!" I answered, but didn't get a happy response back. "Max, I saw that bitch you were talking about," he said back in a low tone. "What you mean?" I asked back, confused. "You said Bobby was messing around, right, well I went to see Bobby today and he didn't answer the door, but I heard him in his backyard so I went to his privacy gate and walked in, and there he was, him and that fuckin Chris guy, lyin on the picnic table kissing!" he explained to me in a pissed off voice. I shook my head as he continued. "I didn't say anything but Bobby saw me and jumped up. He tried to talk to me but I just left him there, no telling what I woulda done if I let my emotions get to me." he said. "I'm really sorry man," I said to him sincerely. "Its not your fault man. Anyways after I found out about you and Alex, I was rushing into finding a boyfriend of my own. I knew we were moving too fast when we first started anyways." he said to me. I nodded my head while I spoke back. "Yea maybe me and Alex started too soon, too. I mean, we practically just jumped in the sheets with each other," I said. "Yea but you guys have something real, nothing like me and Bobby," he said. "Hey, I'm gonna go, talk to you later?" "Why don't you come over here? Me, Corey, Alex and my folks are hangin out," I suggested. "Sure man, I'll be there, nothing too exciting going on here." he said. We said our byes and hung up. 10 minutes later Tonio was walking into our yard. He greeted everyone and we all shot more fireworks. We went inside and got a hotdog, then came back outside to shoot fireworks. My mom stayed inside though, to watch for the countdown. Tonio was wearing a long sleeved red sweatshirt with blue jeans and boots. He looked cute. My mom screamed to us that they started the countdown, and we counted down from Ten to Zero, and lit our artillery shells as we said Zero. As the TV roared happy new year, our shells flew into the sky and burst into amazing color displays. My dad went inside to be with my mom, and bobby stood there, watching the colors fly through the air. Corey looked at me and smiled and he hugged me again. "Seriously, thanks for everything," Corey said to me. Alex saw, I know he did, but didn't know what he thought of it. Yep, this new year was gonna be something else. ************ Static382@mindless.com Sorry for the delay ppl, but a lot of juicy stories coming up...
