After all, it's just the ramblings of a decrepit old fool, reminiscing about his youth. LOL Now gather 'round childrens, here's Chapter 11...... Fup ****************************************************************************** FROM CHAPTER 10 Sean stopped and looked at David seriously. David stared back until he couldn't hold his laugh any longer at the expression on Sean's face. "You dweeb," Sean grinned. "Takes one to know one," David replied, still laughing. The three of them resumed their walk to the ballfield. Joining the game of Pitcher's Poison already in progress, the three spent the rest of the afternoon being boys. UNDER PRESSURE/HIGH SCHOOL 11 - Decisions "Make up your mind," Sally said. "You know, this is really unfair," David complained, his anger rising. David thought that May was really becoming a crappy month. Here it was, only the first week and already it sucked. He and Sally were standing next to his locker at the end of the day, chatting as usual, when she brought it up. Kelly and Sean had grimaced and magically disappeared somewhere, leaving him alone with her. "Well?" she asked insistently. David tried to calm himself down. Things hadn't been too good lately between the two of them, and he knew this conversation was bound to happen sometime. He didn't worry about it much, if it was going to happen, there was nothing he could do about it. Soon after Kelly and Polly broke up, Sally seemed to get more possessive with his time. He hadn't had much of a chance to hang out with his friends, or do much of anything for himself without her being there. She had even begun to sit at another lunch table, expecting him to join her, which he did, with questioning glances from his friends at their normal table. Willing to try to please her, he started to relent a lot to her requests, but was quickly tiring of playing her game. "Sally, you know I've had this planned for weeks. And you just mentioned this dinner to me like two days ago." "Yeah, but this is important," she argued. David finally lost his cool. "Yeah, important to you! That's what it's been the last couple of weeks, 'I' this, 'I' that, 'I think we should' whatever. Now you come up with this. I'm just tired of it." Sally gaped a little at his vehemence, along with a couple of fellow students passing by, who quickly went back to minding their own business. She had never seen David like this, and it sort of scared her. "You know what I think?" David asked, taking off the necklace, "You should have this back." Then he slammed his locker closed, and walked away toward the front doors. Kelly and Sean had been eavesdropping on the conversation from around the corner. Eavesdropping wasn't quite the right word, since most of the passing students had heard it anyway, but were still surprised when David turned the corner scowling, and almost ran into them. Drawing up short, David glared at his two friends, then softened his scowl at their concerned looks. "It's okay, man," he advised them, "Just having a bad day." They nodded seriously, and Kelly squeezed David's shoulder briefly. David sighed, gave a brief smile and went toward his bus. He was glad it was Friday, he didn't think he could take another day of this week. He sullenly slid into his normal seat and stared out the window until he got to his bus stop. He entered the house, and retreated to his bedroom, slamming the door behind him. Standing in the middle of his room, he came to the realization that there was no one home to appreciate his show of anger. He started smiling, which turned into chuckling as he sat on his bed, with his face in his hands. "You know," he said to himself, "You really need to get a grip, Davey-boy." He didn't know why he was so upset. It wasn't like his breaking up with Sally was unexpected, the thought had been running through his mind a lot lately. The ultimatum today was the last straw however. He had this mental picture of politely telling Sally that it was over, handing back her necklace, shaking hands, and parting as friends. He laid back on his bed, chuckling. Well, sometimes the best laid plans... "You really made a fool of yourself," he thought, becoming serious. "Well, it won't happen again." Satisfied with his self-promise, he began changing into old clothes. He felt like doing something, but didn't know what. He restlessly watched TV until the rest of the family got home, eating supper then retreating to the basement, straightening up 'his corner.' He was pulling the sheets off the mattress for his mom to wash the next day, when the phone rang. Lynn, yelled down the steps it was for him and he went upstairs. "Hello?" "Hey, you okay?" came Kelly's voice. "Yeah, you know me, always on the rebound," David smiled. "Well, Sean and I decided," a laugh from Kelly's end, "that it'll be good to have you back." "Yeah, I'm sorry man. Sorta been ignoring you guys haven't I?" "No problem," Kelly assured. Then he chuckled, "We were wondering how long you were gonna put up with her mothering you." "Well, she was good at it, huh?" "Seemed to be, I mean you all didn't eat with us, and the only time we ever saw you was when you were with her in the halls and stuff. Steve was getting lonely. Said he didn't have anyone cool to pick on." David laughed, "Poor Steve. But anyway, guess I'm single again, huh?" "Not really," David could hear Kelly's smile. "Oh yeah, almost forgot I had.....Geometry homework," David finished as his mom went by. He heard Kelly giggle, "Who's there?" "Guess," David laughed. "Well, anyway, thought I'd call to see how you were doing. Maybe you should spend the night tomorrow. We can talk about our disappointments in the love department." David laughed, "Yeah, I'll ask, hold on." Then he turned to his mom, who had picked this time to fill the sugar jar, "Hey mom, can...may I spend the night at Kelly's tomorrow?" "Aren't you going out with Sally tomorrow?" she answered. David heard Kelly's faint laugh over the phone, and said, "Well, we sorta broke up today." "Oh David, I'm so sorry. Why? You didn't upset her or anything, did you?" "Mom, we'll talk about it later. Kelly's?" "Yes, I guess so. Mr. or Mrs. Sites are going to have to pick you up though, we're going away. Why don't you just have him over here? It will save his parents a trip." Turning back to the phone, he asked, "Hey, did you hear that?" "Yeah, hold on, I'll ask." Kelly was soon back on the line with permission for Saturday night and the two of them talked for a little while longer. Then Kelly laughed, "You'd better get off of here and tell your mom all about it." "Yeah, guess you're right. See ya tomorrow." "Yep, see ya." He had barely replaced the receiver in the cradle before his mom was asking, "What happened with you and Sally? She was such a nice girl." "Well, we just decided that it was probably best, with the summer coming and everything," David fabricated. She ruffled David's hair, "Well, that sounds like a good reason. Just remember, if you need someone to talk to, you can come to me." "I'll remember," David said with a false smile - as if he would ever talk to his parents about anything like that. "Oh, I stripped the bed downstairs, are you doing sheets tomorrow?" "I had planned on it, remember to get them off your bed too, okay?" "Yep, I will. Thanks mom," he said with a genuine smile this time. Then he went back into the basement to finish up his cleaning. Saturday passed quickly. David did his chores, and remade both beds with the clean sheets. His good mood didn't go unnoticed by his parents who asked about it. "Well, it's been a while since Kel and I have done anything. Sally kept me pretty tied down." "Welcome to the real world," his dad smiled, glancing toward his mom. David shuddered dramatically, "I think I'll become a monk." His dad laughed, saying it wasn't that bad, and left to get ready for their evening. When they were ready to leave, his mom instructed him to keep an eye on Lynn that night until they got home. "Mom," Lynn interrupted, "I wanna go over to Sarah's." "Well, Lynn, if she calls to ask, that will be fine. Just let your brother know, okay?" "Oh, okay," Lynn sulked. Their parents left for their evening of cards, and David turned to Lynn with a grin, "You know, since they're gone, you could always call Sarah." Then he winked at her. "You won't tell?" she asked suspiciously. "Cross my heart," David answered, doing just that. "Okay, I will. You know you can be real nice sometimes." "You can too, sis, just don't ever tell mom and dad that I let you do this." "Already heading for the phone, Lynn replied, "I promise." David grinned to himself, that was easy enough. He was truly happy when Lynn informed him that Sarah's parents had agreed to the sleepover. He even helped her pack her overnight bag, making sure she had everything, once again surprising Lynn. Lynn and his parents gone, David closed the curtains and took a shower, excited about the evening. Looking down at himself in the shower, he giggled, excited in more ways than one. Throwing on just a pair of gym shorts and t-shirt, he relaxed in front of the TV until his boyfriend arrived. He had to contain his enthusiasm when Kelly arrived, playing off his excitement until Kelly's parents backed out of the driveway. Getting back into the living room, the two of them stood in front of each other, a feeling of shyness evident in their demeanor. It had been almost six weeks since they had a chance to be alone together, or even talk one-on-one except over the phone. Kelly grinned and dropped his bag, looking down at David's crotch. "Happy to see me?" he grinned. David glanced down at himself to find a tent in his gym shorts. He chuckled, then looked back to Kelly, "You know it. And well," he paused, sort of embarrassed, "I kinda missed you." "Me too," Kelly whispered. David smiled and held out his arms. Kelly almost jumped into them, hugging his boyfriend tightly. David hugged back, then pinched one of Kelly's ass cheeks. "You still know how to ruin a mood," Kelly mock-complained. "Let's get your stuff downstairs," David smiled, wrapping his arm around Kelly's waist. Checking to make sure the house was locked up, and the lights off, they started toward the basement. When they got to the door, Kelly laughed, "You know, there's no way we can fit down the steps like this." "Now who's ruining the mood?" "There won't BE a mood if you don't let go." David chuckled and moved behind Kelly, his hands on his boyfriend's shoulders. "Whatcha gonna do, push me?" Kelly laughed. "Well, I just don't want you running away." "Why would I do that?" Kelly asked, grinning, then darted down the steps, leaving David's hands full of air. He started down the steps, then grinned turning off the basement lights. He heard Kelly stumble across a couple stray empty boxes, hearing a mumbled 'ouch,' then silence and some rustling. "Ooooh, you wanna play hide and seek?" came Kelly's laughing voice from below him. "You are gonna lose soooo bad, " David responded, closing the door, increasing the darkness in the basement. Then he started down the steps carefully, crooning, "Yoo hooo, where are you?" Reaching the bottom, he let his eyes become accustomed to the darkness, then started off through the basement. There were plenty of places to hide though, and David carefully wandered through the dark, trying to remain silent, peering as well as he could into the darkness trying to locate Kelly. After a few minutes of fruitless searching, he had an idea. Walking over to one of the metal columns that ran through the middle of the basement, he hit it hard with his knuckles, followed by an "OW, dammit! Now I've got a headache." Then he listened closely, hoping to hear Kelly laugh at his improvised accident. No such luck. "Kellllllllllyyyyyy, where are youuuuuu?" he snickered. He heard a sound from his right and turned to face that way. Nothing. He continued to wander the basement, working his way carefully to the mattress. As he approached it, he saw a shadowy lump buried under the covers. Grinning triumphantly, he leapt onto the mattress, straddling his boyfriend with a yell, "Gotcha!" Disappointedly, he realized that the pillows under the blankets didn't give the response he expected. He thought he heard a quiet snicker from behind him, but purposely ignored it. Sighing heavily, he said to the darkness, "Well, I guess I'll just get ready and go to bed." Getting no response, he started stripping to his underwear. As he was pushing his pants down, he heard movement from behind him, then a hand reached out and rubbed his butt. "About time you found me," Kelly whispered from behind him. David turned with a smile on his face, looking at the shadowy naked form of his boyfriend. He straightened up and Kelly moved closer, pulling him into a hug. With his chin resting on David's shoulder he whispered, "This is nice." Hugging back, his hands running down across Kelly's back to rub his butt, David answered, "Yeah, missed it." "Well," Kelly giggled quietly, "missed it so much you were gonna get it on with a pillow." David jokingly pushed Kelly away a little, "Well, it was the only thing there at the time, you know." "Six weeks, and already I've been replaced," Kelly moaned with a smile. "Awww, poor baby," David whispered, pulling Kelly back to him. He felt the wetness on Kelly's dick soak through his own briefs and pulled him even tighter, kissing Kelly's neck. "I really did miss this," he whispered. "Just this?" Kelly answered, pushing his hips forward. "You know what I mean." "Tell me," Kelly prompted, seriously. "Ummm, well...," David started, blushing. "Yes?" "You sure know how to ruin a moment," David attempted. "Don't change subjects." "Kel, you know I'm not good at this," David complained. "That's why I wanna hear what you're gonna say, Dave," Kelly answered, rubbing his boyfriend's back. "Well....," David started again. "Mmmmmhmmmm," Kelly prompted. David closed his eyes, "Well, I missed YOU, ok?" Kelly's arms tightened, and he kissed David's cheek, "I missed you too. Now what else?" "Kel...," David groaned again. Kelly was silent, waiting. David flushed again. He had a hard time with words and feelings. But he relented, squeezing Kelly tighter, "I love you, Kel." "I love you too, Dave. Now see? That wasn't so hard was it?" David pulled away a little, smiling, "You can be a real dick, you know that?" "Uh huh," Kelly answered, once again pushing his hips forward into David's groin. "But...," "That's why I love you," David finished. He smiled and pulled away from Kelly, reaching down to the waistband of his briefs. Kelly reached out, stopping him. "Wait." Then he rubbed his palm over David's now hard dick through the briefs, getting a gasp from his boyfriend. He slipped his hand inside David's briefs, taking David's erection into his hand and stroking it gently. "Kel, ummm...," Kelly giggled, and continued to stroke. Then it was his turn to gasp as David's warm hand found his own leaking dick. "Maybe we should lie down?" David laughed quietly, "Told ya I was gonna win." "Yeah, yeah," Kelly said softly. The boys lowered themselves tot he mattress, Kelly sliding David's briefs off on the way down. Naked, the two boys reclined on the mattress, propped up on their elbows facing each other. David smiled warmly at Kelly, "I do love you, you know. Just hard for me to say it sometimes." "Yeah, I know, I guess I just needed to hear it, ya know?" "Yeah, I know," David responded, then wrapped an arm around Kelly's neck, pulling him into a deep kiss. After a minute or two, Kelly pulled away, his lips and cheeks wet with saliva, "Wow, you DID miss me huh?" Pushing Kelly down on his back, he lowered his face closer, staring into Kelly's eyes, "Yes, you goof, I really did." Kelly smiled up at him, and closed his eyes, parting his lips slightly. Then he whispered, "Show me how much." ***************************************************************************** Thanks! To all those that have emailed me, your comments mean a lot.
