The Bar -Part 1 It's a drizzly October night, all is quiet in the streets except for the sound of the falling rain, and the slight booming from the bar on the corner. It had been a few weeks since I had last been there, so I decided to make a go of it. As I crossed the street I noticed a familiar car parked in the lot. Must be my lucky night I thought to myself. I approached the doors, and walked through not noticing the bouncers standing there. I could see her, there she was as beautiful as ever perched up on a bar stool. Her long golden blonde hair shimmering in the dim light. She turns her face towards the front doors and notices me walking towards her, and smiles, as I smile back secretly trying to hide my nervouseness, and ache to touch her. Placing my hand gently on her shoulder, I lean into her and whisper softly, " Hi beautiful, it's been too long. " I leave my hand to linger there a little longer than normal, before taking a seat beside her. As the bartender asks what she can get me. "A Coors Light, large draft please." She returns with my draft, as I stand to get the money out of my pocket and hand it too her. "Thanks" I say smiling, and leave her tip sitting on the bar. Turning back towards my hearts desire, I see her smiling at me almost in a knowing way. As we sit there talking, time seems to be flying by. It has been an hour already, and two drinks later. I finally ask if she has any other plans for the night, to which she replys that she does, but that it can wait. "What do you have in mind?" she inquires. "Not too much, I was just wondering if you'd like to come back to my place and have some coffee, before you drive back." She agrees and we make our way to the door, leaving the noise, and patrons behind. She doesn't want to leave her car there so we agreed that she should drive it over were it will be safer, as she hadn't had alot to drink. Standing at the door, I tell her to just make herself comfortable, my home is her home, and make my way to the kitchen to get the kettle going. Walking back, I hear her complaining of how her feet are sore from working, as she tries rubbing her feet to relieve some of the pressure. "Sit back and relax, I'll get your coffee, and then give you a foot massage, how's that sound?" I ask playfully. "Still take it the way you did?" "Yes I do..you actually remember that?" She bewilderingly states. " Of course I do, how could I not, just because I only bought you one coffee doesn't mean I'd forget. There's alot of things about you I remember, such as your favourite colour." I reply laughingly. Walking back into the living room, I carefully hand her, her coffee, and ask her to put her feet up. "I thought you were kidding? " "Of course not, I was serious, hand 'em over." I laugh. She places her feet up in front of me, relaxing back into the couch. I carefully lift her feet to put them in my lap, and begin massaging her sole. I hear her soft moans, as she relaxes further under my touch. She places her coffee down, and tells me if I'm not careful that I could put her to sleep like this. I just smile, and remind her that she's supposed to be relaxing, to just close her eyes, and enjoy being pampered. As I finish massaging, I look up again facing her, and notice that indeed she is almost asleep. Carefully I place her feet back down on the cushions, and shift my position trying to quietly stand up and walk over to her. I touch her arm softly and ask if she is awake, slightly shocked and bewildered she responds that she is, as she slowly sits back up. "I guess it's getting pretty late." "You could stay here, I'll take the couch and you can have my bed, if you'd like?" I ask. She disagrees, and says she really should get home. " You sure you ok to drive, you're not going to fall asleep at the wheel are you? It's really not a problem if you want to stay. I've slept on the couch before." I state. She changes her mind, so I go and get fresh sheets put on the bed, and grab a guilt for myself. "You're all set, the bathroom's right down the hall on your left if you need it, I'll see you in the morning." "Ok thanks, have a good night, sweet dreams." she replies. "I will, thanks, you too." Walking down the hall, I can't believe that I'm going to be sleeping under the same roof as her. I wonder if I'll ever be able to sleep. Probably not I tell myself shaking my head, as I get myself comfortable on the couch. Lying awake in the darkness, I can hear the rain running down the windows, and tapping on the roof. My thoughts are of her, wondering if she is in dreamland, or lying awake the same as I. As I'm thinking, I hear her coming back down the stairs quietly, she enters the living room and says it would be ok with her if I were to sleep with in the bed. Raising my eyebrow, looking at her with my own disbelief, I jump at the chance. Although I knew in my mind it would be torture to be lying beside her, and not be able to touch her. As I approached the bedroom I notice a flickering light coming from inside, she must've lit the candle on my night table. Thinking nothing of it I walk into the bedroom and lay down as she does. I'm about to blow out the candle when she places her hand on my arm and asks me to leave it on.... to be continued.
