"Gabby any chance you would like to have a cup of tea or coffee with me?" She revealed yet again her warm smile and replied in the affirmative. No one else seemed to notice our leaving, or care for that matter, so we ended up on the street unencumbered by future invitations or regrets. Gabby looked even more appealing in the soft street lights as we departed the meeting point. "So I am no from this town, can you suggest a a decent quiet spot where we can get to know each other?" I had no intention of being forward, just cordial and polite. Gabby took my hand for a second and said, "follow me". Releasing the contact almost as fast as she made it. Perhaps it was my imagination but I felt a spark when she took my hand. Not a feeling I was looking for, so it surprised me. "How about a cocktail instead, I know a very mellow bar down the street where we can share a drink and talk." I nodded in agreement and smiled . Inside I was so happy to have anyone to share myself with. So far I had made no real friends and felt a desire to bond with almost anyone. As we approached the bar, Gabby placed her arm lightly on my waist and ushered me in the door.I never gave it a thought as she was being a good host. We found a quiet table away from the bar and took up residence. An older waitress eventually came over to take our order. She gave us a once over before smiling and asking what we would like. Gabby promptly ordered a white Russian. I felt a little shy so I copy catted her and said "The same please." When the waitress left, Gabby engaged my eyes and asked how I liked the meeting? "Well, I felt like if I were not a lesbian, I should not have come, to be quite frank." Gabby pealed off a few seconds of laughter. "I know what you mean, I felt like it was and indoctrination camp and we were expected to tow the line or get the fuck out. Pardon my french." We both laughed sharing a moment in common. "So whats your deal Megan McTavish? Are you out of school, still in school or just floating through life?" About then the waitress brought us our drinks. "These are on me." She announced as the drinks settled in front of us. "It is nice to see a normal couple in here instead of the usual freaks." We both thanked her and she withdrew, smiling at us as if she had known us for ever. Gabby raised her glass and proposed a toast. "To new friends and beautiful women." I never gave it a thought as we both took big sips of our cocktails. The first drink went down fast and tasted like more, so I offered to spring for the next round. I suppose we began to get a little silly by the end of the second drink so Gabby ordered two more. We had been talking about our different upbringings and so on. Gabby's eyes remained glued on mine as if I were the most fascinating woman in the world. When the forth drink arrived, I began to see Gabby's eyes as limpid blue pools of knowledge. She had to be a couple years older than me and after our conversation, she was much more worldly. Blue eyes with no end of depth, I found myself drawn in to her charms. About then I felt her hand on my thigh, sliding slowly upward. It felt fantastic, I was in heaven for a couple moments until my strict background brought me back to reality. "What are you doing Gabby?:" I asked in a non threatening tone. I was still under her charms and not actually sure what she had in mind. She gave me her A game smile and I relaxed for a moment. McTavish, you tell me if I am out of line but you are drop dead gorgeous and I lost my mind for a second." Her eyes nearly pleaded with mine for forgiveness. "You know what Gabby, I like you a lot. You are the first friend I have met here in N. California." Without thinking further, leaned forward and kissed her on the lips. Before I knew what was happening, we were french kissing.
