Date: Mon, 12 Sep 2011 18:32:25 -0400 From: Barry Gold Subject: New Day Dawning New Day Dawning Gold/Donal (Introducing the rest of our new ensemble. Beth Wilson and Sally Ryder attend the other Catholic school in the district, St. Francis Academy.) It was the third week in September at St. Francis Academy. Beth Wilson stood in goal, waiting for the other team to come down and try to score on her. Their opponent today, West Catholic, was last year's State Champion. One of their forwards was the tournament MVP and one of their defenders was on the all-tournament team too. Being on JV last year, she didn't play against them last year. All of a sudden, one of the West Catholic players broke through, a tall blonde. Beth thought to herself, ("This must be Allison White, the MVP.") Allison took her shot but Beth was able to get her hands on the ball and block it. She threw the ball towards her team who took the ball up the field and scored. ***** While the game was going on, Sally Ryder watched the tall redhead guarding their goal. She was very interested in her, even though she had a girlfriend at the time. That relationship seemed to be going nowhere lately. Mary was her girlfriend but increasingly kept on making excuses for not seeing her. Well, the hell with her, she would find someone else. Sally noticed that the goalie, was probably around 6', much taller than her 5'1" frame, and had larger breasts than her petite 34b. Oh well, I'll just have to find something of interest to talk to her about. Just then it looked like she would have her opportunity as the game ended with St. Francis winning 2-0. "Hello there," Sally said to Beth as she was coming off the field. "You played a great game out there. That last save was a hard one." "Yeah, we got some lucky breaks on offense and we were able to score. By the way, my name is Elizabeth but usually, people just call me Beth." Beth caught the semi-southern accent from this tiny girl and almost melted. Beth looked at the diminutive girl and noticed she was kind of cute. Blonde hair, short, and gorgeous hazel eyes that she could get lost in. "Well, then my name is Sally. Nice to meet you, Beth!" As they shook hands, it felt like a jolt of electricity passed through both of them. Sally took a closer look at Beth and noticed her very blue eyes and almost lost it right there. "Are you okay," Beth asked with some concern in her voice? "Yeah, I'm okay, just a little tired from all the homework the teachers are giving me." "Well, when you have a 3.85gpa like I do, the teachers tend to be a little harder on you and really pile on the homework," Beth told her laughing a little. "Wow, a 3.85gpa, that's amazing! I'm running a 2.95 and find it real hard keeping up sometimes. Maybe you can help me with some of my classes. You wouldn't mind would you?" Sally asked her hopefully. "What year are you in, Sally?" "I'm a sophomore this year and if I'm not careful, probably one next year also." "Well, it looks like I will be able to help you. I'm a sophomore too, so we probably have some of the same teachers. Maybe we can get together at either my house or yours soon. What do you think," Beth asked her? "I guess it all depends on how far we live from each other since I don't drive yet and unless you do, it looks like we will have to walk or have our parents drive us around everywhere," Sally told her. "Well, where do you live?" Sally told her where she lived and Beth realized that she only lived two blocks away from her. "That's great! I guess we should talk to our parents and set something up. I have an English test coming up next week and I can really use the help," Sally remarked. The girls traded phone numbers and started to walk home together. ***** On the way home Sally started wondering what that tingle meant when they touched each other. That had never happened to her before and she was very hopeful that it meant something good would happen. Unbeknownst to Sally, Beth was thinking the exact same thing. Beth had never felt anything like that before. She knew that she liked girls but kept it to herself because she knew what would happen if her classmates ever found out. Her parents knew of her preference for girls and did not discourage her. As a matter of fact, her mother told her of a torrid affair she had in college with a girl. She also knew that Sally liked girls because she'd seen her on occasion holding hands with a girl by the name of Mary. But she had not seen her with Mary for a while now and just assumed that they had broken up. "What kinds of music do you like Sally?" Beth asked her as they were walking home. "Well, my taste in music is kind of strange. I like the alternative scene; Tori Amos, Kate Bush, Evanescence and also Jazz. Artists like David Sanborn and the vocal group, Manhattan Transfer." "That's amazing. I love Evanescence as well and I listen to Tori Amos. You realize she sounds a lot like Kate Bush. Jazz is okay but I like some of the old Soul music also; Diana Ross and the Supremes, Spinners and others." Beth exclaimed. "Seems like we have almost the same taste in music. It's amazing. I guess we have some talking to do when we're not in school." Sally said with a little humor in her voice. As they walked towards Sally's house, they continued to talk and discover things that they had in common, which was quite a bit; clothes, music, movies, girls!! "Hey, Beth, would you like to stay for dinner?" Sally asked hopefully. "Well, let me call my parents and see what they say, but I don't see any problem." Beth pulled out her cell phone and dialed home, "Hello, Mom?? Yeah, I'm walking home with a friend. No, Mom, someone new that I met today and she asked me if I could stay for dinner." Beth listened, "That's great Mom, yeah, and she only lives two blocks away. Oh, okay, no problem, I'll be home around 9:00 and thanks Mom." Turning, "Well, Sally, it looks like you have a dinner date tonight." Beth let her know with a smile on her face. Sally looked overjoyed at that and was almost bouncing all the way home. ***** As they got to Sally's house, they noticed that there was only one car in the garage. Sally knew that her father was home so she would have to be careful at the dinner table tonight. ***** As they entered the house, they were greeted by Sally's younger sister Stephanie. "Hey Sally, who's your new lady friend?" Stephanie said with a smirk "Please, Stephanie, I don't think she knows about me yet but I would like to tell her myself, if you don't mind," Sally said to her sister very quietly as she pulled her aside. "Actually, this is Elizabeth but everyone just calls her Beth. Beth, this is my sister and general pain in the ass, Stephanie." "Hello Stephanie, glad to meet you." Beth said laughing at the joke Sally just said. "I get that all the time from my older sister but I usually just ignore her." Stephanie said. At this particular time, Stephanie had an empty glass in her hand that she was trying to balance. It started to fall and she could not catch it in time. Beth reached out real fast and caught it without any problem. "Wow, I've never seen anyone move that fast before." Stephanie and Sally said almost at the same time, with their mouths frozen open. "Well, being an amateur magician, playing soccer and I also practice martial arts tends to make your reflexes kind of fast. Especially when I'm trying to change cards or perform my hat trick for people." Beth let them know. Both of the girls just stared at Beth until Sally said something, "You mean you practice magic?" "Well, sort of. My parents think I'm pretty good but I still need quite a bit of practice. If you have a quarter on you I'll show you something." Sally took a quarter out of her pocket, gave it to Beth, and just watched. She watched as Beth placed the quarter in her left hand and then shook hands with her sister. She then asked Sally where she thought the quarter went to and Sally said that she gave to Stephanie but Stephanie said that she didn't have it. Beth then came over to Sally and pulled the same quarter from Sally's top pocket!!! Sally then exclaimed, "Wow, I didn't even notice you put it there!! How did you do that anyway?" "Sorry, a magician does not divulge their secrets to just anyone now!!" Beth told her. Stephanie and Sally just laughed. ***** "Stephi, where's Dad?" "In his office, of course." "Thanks." Sally motioned Beth to follow her and started down the hall. She stopped in front of a door and knocked, "Dad? I'm home." Sally's dad poked his head out the door, "Who...What...Where...?" "Dad, I'm home and I brought company." Indicating Beth, "This is Elizabeth Wilson. She's a sophomore at St. Francis too. She's a goalie on the soccer team and is going to help me review for my English test. Can she use the shower in your bedroom?" Beth knew that Sally had a shower in her room and gave her a look. Sally gave her an ("I'll tell you later") look in return. "Sure, Honey." "Whose turn is it to cook tonight?" Sally's mom owned a Hallmark Gold Crown card shop. That meant she had to work some nights and weekends. They took turns cooking dinner to spread the load around. "I believe it's mine. Let me finish what I'm doing and I'll get started." Sally knew that her step-dad was a bit scatter-brained and forgetful. If they wanted to eat anytime soon, then they must be the ones to cook." You look like you're busy. Let me get a shower and I'll cook tonight. You can owe me one." "Thanks. I was kind of involved in a new project." Suddenly remembering that he hadn't greeted Beth, he put out his hand, "Welcome to the zoo, Elizabeth," and disappeared back behind the door. ***** Beth grabbed her gymbag on the way upstairs. Sally pointed to a door, "You can use the shower in here. My room is across the hall. Are you going to wash your hair?" "It needs it." "I'll have the dryer downstairs when you get dressed. See you in a bit." Sally told her. Beth found a big two-head shower waiting for her. She turned the water on, adjusted the temperature, and undressed. As she stepped into the shower, Beth started daydreaming. As she started showering, she dreamt that Sally had followed her in and had started soaping her body starting with the front portion. As she moved her hands down from her breasts to her pussy, she started stroking herself believing it was Sally. As she got more into it, she slipped her fingers into herself and started masturbating. She started moaning a little too loud and she heard Sally outside of the door asking her if she was alright. "Yeah, I'm doing okay. I just stubbed my toe that's all." "Oh, okay. Don't take too much longer. Dinner will be ready soon." Sally said through the door. Whew, that was close Beth thought to herself but she couldn't help it. Her feelings were growing stronger for Sally even though they just met today. Toweling off, Beth slipped on her jeans and a polo shirt. Hanging up the towel, she padded across the hall and went into Sally's room. Beth noticed the lack of male artist posters on the wall. She did notice quite a number of female artists though; Evanescence, Gwen Stefani and others. Before she had a chance to say anything, Sally looked at her kind of seriously. "Beth, before we get to be good friends, there is something that I need to tell you. The reason why you keep on seeing me stare at you is because I prefer girls over guys. In other words, I'm a Lesbian." Sally just blurted out. Beth was kind of taken aback by this sudden outburst but she kind of expected it. "Actually Sally, I kind of had a feeling that you were because every now and then, I would see you with Mary and catch you holding hands with her. I really wouldn't worry about it too much, because I'm one too and before you ask, yes, I am very attracted to you also." Beth said quietly. Now Sally was really floored. She never expected that but inwardly she was ecstatic by what Beth just told her. "Well, looks like we just told each other about our deep dark secret, Sally. What do you think we should do about this "problem", Sally?" Beth asked her as she started moving towards Sally. As they got real close to each other, Sally put her arms around Beth's' waist as Beth was putting her arms around Sally's neck. They looked deeply into each other's eyes, smiled at each other, and as their lips touched they both felt the electricity of their first kiss. As they kept on kissing, their arms started getting tighter around each other, their lips parted and both their tongues started intertwining within each others mouths. Their moaning started getting louder as their legs started rubbing against each other. "WOW that was some kiss Sally." Beth whispered very softly as she kept arms around Sally's neck loosely. "Yeah, I don't know how I'm going to keep my hands off of you. I'm glad we met today!" Sally told her quietly. "Well, let's just say that I totally agree with you. It will be hard to keep my hands off of you too!" Beth said very quietly. As they were just standing there talking quietly and staring at each other, Sally whispered, "Let's go down, cook, and set the table so you can meet my mother and have some dinner." ***** They found Stephanie in the kitchen. She was bent over, looking in the refrigerator, "Hey, Squirt. Did Mom leave us anything to cook?" "Yea, there's a tuna casserole to heat up and the fixings for a green salad." "Why don't you get the oven pre-heated and Beth and I will get started on the salad?" "Sure thing." Stephanie lit the oven while Sally pulled stuff out for the salad. It seemed to Beth that they tore, chopped, cut, and tossed enough for a small army. They had just called her dad out of his office when Sally's mom got home. ***** As both of the girls sat down at the table, Sally introduced Beth to her mother. "Beth, this is my mom, Judy Krieger. Mom, this is Elizabeth Wilson. You've already met my dad. Just call her Beth. She lives just a couple of blocks away from here." "Welcome Beth. Glad you could come to dinner. Sally usually has a friend over for dinner every so often. We hope to see more of you." Sally's mother told her. "Thank you very much Mrs. Krieger. Hopefully Sally will keep on inviting me over here. You have a very nice house." Beth told Sally's mom. During the dinner, the conversation flowed easily, from school to what the girls did after school and to what the parents did. Beth found out the Sally's mother owned a Hallmark card shop in town and her father was an IT Consultant and was very successful at it. After dinner, the girls cleared the table and then put the dishes in the dishwasher. As they were heading back up to Sally's room to study, Sally's mom pulled her aside. "Sally, does Beth know about your "social" life and your preference for girls, honey?" "As a matter of fact mom, I told her before we came down and do you know what she told me? She told me that she prefers girls too!! Isn't that amazing Mom?" "I would say so sweetheart. As a matter of fact, I could tell you were happier than you've been in a while. I'm really happy for you. I will let your father know too. Go upstairs and study, and Sally?" "Yes mom?" "Try not to make too much noise studying, okay sweetheart?" "MOOOOOOM...don't worry, Beth is helping me study for an English test coming up, and thanks." ***** As Sally entered her room, she noticed that Beth had been waiting for her and wanted to know what her Mom had said. After Sally let her know, Beth smiled the biggest smile she ever had in her life and almost started crying in Sally's arms. "Sally, how come your last name isn't the same as your parents?" Beth asked her. "Well, when I was about one year old my real father passed away from cancer. Mom met my step dad, Eugene, who I just call my father now about two years later and they got married when I was five. It was my mother who suggested that I keep my last name as a remembrance to my real father. My step dad agreed with that. We all get along great, even my little sister who has the last name of Krieger. Even though, like I said, she can be a royal pain in the ass, I still love her. She also knows that I like girls instead of guys. She seems to be pretty cool about it." "Wow, that's pretty cool, Sally. I think my parents have an idea that I like girls because I never seem to talk about guys. I think they will be cool about it too. Well, shall we start our study session now?" Sally moved over to Beth and wrapped her arms around Beth's waist. She looked into Beth's eyes and gave her the deepest kiss she'd ever given anyone, "Now I'm ready to study," Sally said after she got some of her breath back. "Yeah, I would definitely say that we are ready to start," Beth agreed with her after she unwrapped herself from Sally's arms. --------------------------------------------------------------
