Remember, if you are not 18, go away, you should not read this. This story is a work of complete fiction. None of its characters are real. Frailness "Why do I always have to wait on the cute ones when I have to go to the bathroom?" Baily playfully asked. She did it often, flirted with her sister's friends. It was like a contest only she knew about. A test, really. This one, though, happened to be very cute, and Baily could see prospects for multiple encounters. "I'll be out in a minute," the boy replied, pulling up his swimsuit. If he wasn't mistaken, he would say Shannon's sister was hitting on him. Not that he minded, the little number did more than just rouse his interest; she was just about every man's fantasy. As he walked out the door, Matt looked again at Baily. This was the first day he had ever met her, though he wouldn't mind if it wasn't his last. She was in a bikini at the moment, her tan flat stomach with a belly ring fully exposed. Her face was flawless, full pink lips leading up to a pixiish nose, with wide brown eyes that begged to be lost in. Her blonde hair was pulled up, with her bangs framing her face in the way that made a person want to reach out and comb them back behind her ears. "We had strawberries upstairs, so I brought some down for you," Baily said, holding the fruit to his lips. The boy may be cute, but he was completely devoid a brain, she found out as he reached up and grabbed it from her, instead of letting her feed it to him. Still, she managed to make eye contact, and pulled him down to her level with her hand at the back of his neck. "Well, don't be so selfish, I wanna taste too..." she said, before letting her tongue make contact with his. She could hear his breath catch in his throat, feel his heart beat faster, sense his excitement. And yet, like always, she felt nothing but a hallow in her chest, and a sense of shame and guilt... *** "Oh god how I hate her!" Brooke laughed. "Yeah, the little slut is SO a walking STD," Michelle agreed. The girls were hiding out in the bathroom between first and second period, sharing a joint Brooke had brought with her from home that morning. "I heard Matt Micheals talking about how she slept with him the other day," Michelle said as she took another hit, holding it in as a smile tugged at her lips. "Oh I know, and Brent Douglas before that. What a skank," Brooke stated, grabbing the joint from Michelle's fingers and taking another toke. Just then, the bell rang. "Oh shit, we gotta get outa here," Brooke whispered, futilely fanning the weed tainted air around her. Michelle was already on her way out the door, so Brooke left as well, with an exasperated groan. Tally walked out of the stall, shaking her head. Another new school, and already she wished she were not there. Her head hurt from all the weed she had taken in vicariously, but she hadn't wanted to walk out with the potheads still gossiping about this Baily girl. Oh, what a great year this would be... *** "Now, all of you will have a partner for the entire semester, and before you ask, the answer is yes, I will let you choose them. However, if I find you and your partner to be a distubence to my class, I will have no problem with failing you, so take that into consideration..." Mrs. Henderson went on, speaking of the rules of the class. It was what you would expect on the first day of school, though Tally wasn't in the mood for it. All she wanted to do was go home and get unpacked. She looked around the room, coming to the conclusion that either she had been somehow warped back to the fifties, or this small town still considered men not to be suitable for Home Ec. class. All the girls, and she really meant ALL girls, were already in aprons, with their haired tied back. Some whispered to one another, though most remained quiet in respect for their teacher. Exept one girl. She was in the back of the room, looking at the desk she was sitting at. She didn't dare look up, otherwise she would be admitting to the three or four girls giving her sideways glances and giggling to themselves that she was aware of their prescence. She seemed beautiflul, at least to Tally, who had never really thought of her own looks as remarkable. Her's was the only desk with only one occupent, the other girls having already decided not to sit with her. To single her out... "Alright, we don't have that much class time left, so I'll let you go ahead and pick your partners. After you've done that, you can spend the rest of the time talking amongst yourselves," Mrs. Henderson finally concluded. It was then Tally noticed the other girl look up, a hopeful look in her brown eyes, until she saw the other girls pick their partners, leaving her alone. She looked down again, a deep sadness inscribed on her face. Tally walked over to her. "Do you have a partner?" she asked softly, noticing the other girl had tears in her eyes as she looked up. "Um, no, I don't...do you really want to be with me?" "Yeah, sure. I'm new here, so I don't really have anybody that wants to be with me." Tally smiled. "Oh, well, none of the girls in this school really like me very much, so I basically never have anyone that wants to be with me." Baily said, forcing a grin. Tally could tell it was forced, could see the hurt in the other girl's eyes when she admitted to not having many girl friends in the school. She was also confused. Why would this girl, who seemed to Tally to be perfectly nice, not have a lot of friends here? She certainly wasn't geeky. Far from it, the girl was gorgeous. Tally found herself drowning in her eyes, wanting so much to make her no longer hurt. Why, she did not know. But, as most instictual feelings are, it was very compelling. "What's your name?" Tally asked, her curiosity about the other growing with every word they exchanged. "Baily. What's yours?" She asked, hopeful for the opportunity to have someone at the school like her for a change. Tally's reply caught in her throat. So this was Baily. Though she may not seem like it at the moment, Tally was sure she was bad news. After all, hadn't she just heard in the bathroom this was a girl not to be trusted? Now Tally realized why she hadn't had a partner. Damnit, what did I get myself into? She probably won't work on projects at home, she'll be so busy with boys, Tally thought. I'll be the one paying for her sluttiness. "My name's Tally. You know, your reputation certainly does precede you." Tally said icily. She didn't want to sound mean, but she was not looking forward to a school year full of her bimbo partner slacking off. Then she saw it. Baily looked at her, and for an instant Tally could see such pain in the brown depths of her eyes. Tally was so ashamed with herself. She was about to apologize, when that pain turned into blatant defiance. "Yeah, well, all the girls here are just jealous of me," Baily replied haughtily. She had thought this Tally girl might become a good friend, but it was obvious she was just like everyone else. Always judging. Always gossiping about her. Well, if she won't be nice to me, no skin off my back, Baily thought, preparing herself for another horrible school year. Slowly but surely she built the wall around herself even higher. Baily took the silence that had fallen between them to sum up her new partner. She had light brown hair, shiny and strait, with little streeks of blonde in places. She had large eyes, beautiful in every way conveivable. They were bright blue, with long dark lashes that fanned out in the most sexy way. Her skin looked soft as silk, her lips soft as rose petals. Though Baily didn't want to admit it, she found the girl absolutely beautiful. And intriguing. Note from the author: I will continue the story if I get a big enough response to it. If not, I will take the hint, and leave it be. sunsethape000@aol.com
