Scent of a Girl: Beginnings - Episode 7 "The Beginning of...Maxie and Chloe"

I had just come out of class (math, not my best subject) and settled in on putting my books back into my locker when I saw Chloe sway by and draw my attention with her curves and practically made me drool at the way she could move. I think it's the Kentucky Headhunters who had a song called, 16 and Single, that had a line in it like, 'she had a wiggle in her walk like ma in a jack' or something like that. Chloe sooo had a wiggle in her walk that could make me...do whatever is suggested in that song.
"Hey!"
"Huh?" I asked as I turned and saw Mindy, my heart beating faster as I smiled, her giving me a hands on hips pointed look.
"Who you drooling over?" She asked as I blushed, as much as giving away that I was.
"Chloe?" I asked. "I was only looking and it don't mean I don't think about you daylight to dark."
"You like me that much?" Mindy asked with a sweet smile.
"Yessss" I said as she smiled.
"Just me?" She asked as I touched my forehead to hers and nodded my head.
"Just you" I said. "Come over and hang out with me tonight?"
"Cindy has softball practice, can we do that first?" Mindy asked as she leaned against the lockers. "So she won't worry about her dumb blond sister?"
"You...are...not...dumb" I said as I poked her after every word as she giggled and tried to block my attacks. "Now you better stop saying that."
"OK, stop?" She asked as I pulled her into my arms and smiled as I caressed her cheek and she purred like a kitten (a classic Mindy move).
"You're way cute" She said as my heart raced and without regard to where I was I leaned in and kissed her softly.
"EWWWWWWW slut lesbo's get a room!"
"Do what?" I asked and looked to see that nasty little viper, Misti Grider, glaring at us.
"I said get a room" Misti repeated. Mindy moving behind me and hugging me. "Someone scared little Mindy?"
"You think I won't fight you?" I asked as I dropped my book bag. "You better make that first punch count."
"Yeah and then your dyke friends jump in?" Misti asked.
"Like the time you and your friends jumped Cindy?" Mindy asked.
"You better watch it Mindy, big bad Cally won't always be around" Misti said.
"The name is Dakota and you hit Mindy and you gonna be dealing with me" I said and spotted Chloe coming down the hall and stopping in between me and Misti.
"OK, cool it both of you, you're both gonna get suspended if you fight" Chloe said.
"How's your ear, Chloe?" Misti asked as she swatted at Chloe's red hair and forced her to duck away and to my horror I saw Chloe lose her balance and crash to the floor. Misti laughing as she walked off. "Clumsy whore."
"You OK?" Mindy asked as she rushed to Chloe's side.
"Oh wow, yeah, I'm OK, I think, you guys can go, I'll be fine" Chloe said as Mindy helped her up and saw that Chloe was nowhere near steady on her feet. So, Mindy being Mindy, she hugged her from behind and kept her steady on her feet. "I just got dizzy for a second, I think I'm OK now."
"This just start?"
"Last night when I get back to the dorm" Chloe said. "It went away and I've been OK all day, but...you know."
"You sure you OK?" Mindy asked. "I'm done for the day, maybe go down to the nurse?"
"You go with me?"
"Yeah, you might fall and get hurt" Mindy said as she moved beside her and with an arm still around Chloe she walked off with her, slowly. "Dakota?"
"Already coming" I said as I picked up my book bag and then Mindy's and joined them for the walk to the nurses office.
/\ {* ~ *} /\ CALLY'S PERSPECTIVE /\ {* ~ *} /\
"I don't wanna talk to you" Maxie said as she walked off. I glared at the back of her head and I swear I wanted to beat her brains out for a minute as she turned the corner and disappeared. I grunted in anger as I walked back onto the softball field where Cindy was whacking away in batting practice. Forcing myself to concentrate on something else, I sat down and watched Cindy for a long moment.
"WOW, girl you can hit" I said from a few feet away from home plate as I watched Cindy launch ball after ball deep into the sun filled sky. The pitching machine tossing them one after another in alignment. It finally clicked off after Cindy had driven one over the left field fence. Turning to me with a smile as she walked over. Something told me she was trying to impress me. "Damn, that last ball hasn't landed yet."
"It wasn't that far" She said. Blushing.
"A flight that long should have a stewardess and an in flight movie" I said as she rolled her eyes.
"You saying you're impressed?" She asked. "Not like I'd know anything about doing that."
"Were you trying to impress me?" I asked as she joined me and sat down on the grass next to me as we leaned against the fence.
"I wouldn't know anything about trying to impress a girl" She said solemnly.
"But you do like girls?" I asked.
"Maybe, do you?" She asked.
"Maxie is still technically my girlfriend, hello?" I asked as she blushed and punched my shoulder. Hard too.
"OWWWWW, leave a bruise" I said as the smile left her face.
"I'm sorry, I can't even do friendship right" She said as she started to get up when I gently touched her hand and stopped her.
"Don't hit me like that again? We're cool" I said as she nodded. "Still friends."
"Cool" She said. "UMMMMMM...question?"
"Sure."
"Did you remember a few nights ago when we wrestled?" She asked. I simply smiled.
"I did, you're tough" I said as she smiled.
"Can we do that again sometime?" She asked bluntly (Cindy style).
"You just like having your hands on my body, huh Cindy?" I asked as I tickled her under her chin. She shoved my hand away and gave me an icey cold look. Her blues eyes looking like a frozen lake of water almost. "Chill I was kidding, friends do that."
"I'm not used to someone picking on me" She said as she turned back towards the field. "Sorry."
"I should call you icey with the way you can give someone the cold stare" I said as she looked back at me.
"Mom always wanted me to be her princess" Cindy said. "Maybe I'm the ice princess?"
"You got it icey" I said as I shoved her and she laughed as she lunged at me and I squealed as she started trying to pin me down on the grass. So to fight back I dung my fingers into her tickle spots and she laughed and released my hands and then tried to get away. My hands slipping down her body and latching onto her thighs and digging in there as she screamed in a high pitched squeal. I knew then I had her good and I dug in with both hands until she was finally able to escape and crawl off. Still laughing as she looked back at me. "Want some more?"
"You are gonna pay for that" She said with a finger point. Crawling back towards me as I put my hands up in defense. "I don't like being tickled."
"Pretty impressive when someone gets you good huh?" I asked as she grinned and stopped.
"Yeah, wish I could do that" She said in defeat as she sat down in front of me. "I don't know where to start with girls."
"Honestly..." I said as she looked back at me. "I'm impressed."
"By what?"
"You're hitting, how good of a sister you are" I said. "And I, Cindy Sullivan, like having you around. Wing man."
"Way cool!" Cindy said, blushing, as I nodded. "Me too!"

"Hey, who wants a soda?" I asked as I came back into the courtyard to find Mindy and Chloe giggling on the grass. Both of them holding her hands up as I sat down and handed them out. "So what are you two giggling about?"
"Maxie, Chloe has a thing for her" Mindy said with a devilish smile.
"You big mouth, I told you that in confidence" Chloe said as Mindy giggled. "I'm not your friend anymore."
"You're only mad cause it's true" I said as Chloe blushed. "That whole thing in front of Cally with you getting some off Max was funny."
"Maxie loves Cally" Chloe said. "So even if I do have a crush on her, why does it matter?"
"I don't know" I said. "Cally and Max are...odd."
"What you mean?" Chloe asked.
"They don't seem like each others speed" I said. "Cally's a hundred miles an hour twenty four hours a day and Maxie is like, pot speed."
"Pot? Like mary jane?" Chloe asked.
"Yeah, I saw her smoke at least once" I said. A concerned look coming over Chloe's face. "Cally doesn't know."
"And she would not be happy" Mindy said as she crawled over and slipped into my arms as I smiled. Chloe watching with a smile on her face.
"You guys look so cute together" Chloe said. "Like you're really happy and all."
"It's an act" I said as Mindy laughed. "We are."
A giggling, staggering Maxie coming around the bushes at the side of McKinley-Grogan hall. One hand on the wall to keep her steady and peeking to see if anyone in authority was within eye ball range. No one was. She finally made her way to the front door before she saw us sitting on the grass and came over to join us.
"Well, cow in the hall are you?" Maxie asked with a huge shit-faced smile. Weaving a bit as she held onto the table behind her to keep herself steady.
"Maxie, are you OK?" Chloe asked as she shot to her feet.
"I...am...fine" Maxie said as she pointed to herself. A huge smile on her face and then doing something that is sooo classic Maxie, looking with wide eyed interest at Chloe's boobies and saying, "WOW, you've got huge hooters."
"Excuse me?" Chloe asked as Maxie grinned and made eyes openly at our new friend. "What did you say?"
"You've got great boobies" Maxie said with a single finger trailing down Chloe's bare arm. "And great hair, I love red hair. Can I make love to your hair?"
"Maxie would make a great stand up comic" Mindy whispered to me as we giggled.
"No, you cannot make love to my hair" Chloe said with a huge blushing grin. "Are you OK?"
"I already told you I'm fine" Maxie said. "Feeling no pain."
"You're drunk?"
"I prefer the terms...shit faced or three sheets to the wind" Maxie said. "Why is that a problem hot stuff?"
"Stop hitting on me it won't get you anywhere" Chloe said with a finger point.
"How...how about this..." Maxie said as she moved next to Chloe and pulled Chloe's arm around her. "You help me upstairs?"
"Why? So you can hit on me again?"
"No I gotta pee, please?" Maxie asked as I fell onto the grass laughing out loud. "What's so funny?"
"Nothing Max" I said as I got up and took her hand. Mindy following me. "Come on I'll help you upstairs."
"But I want her to help me, she said she'd give me some" Maxie pointed out. "Remember?"
"I'm not doing anything with you in this condition" Chloe said firmly. Maxie smiled as she then threw her arm around me and kissed my cheek.
"What was that for?"
"Me, you and Mindy?" Maxie asked. Mindy covering her mouth in surprise as I laughed. "What? That a bad offer?"
"If you were sober and not with Cally, no Max it wouldn't be" I said.
"OK, remind me when we get upstairs to call that skank, Cally, and tell her it's over" Maxie said as I laughed.
