Uncle was dead. He was shot at an illegal poker game in a bad part of town.
He said he had been caught cheating. He managed to drive himself home and
after Heather had helped him onto the couch she went into the kitchen to get
him a glass of water. When she brought him the water he was dead. Since she
didn't have any family she just knew she would have to go into foster care.
I told her to call the police immediately and I called my lawyer. Nikki, my
lawyer Samantha Reynolds and myself were in Miami at the courthouse by
8:00AM and already had the adoption papers filed and thanks to Samantha
pulling some strings and calling in some markers we were the first case on
the docket that morning. By 11:00 AM all the paperwork was approved and
signed and all fees were paid. At 12:30 PM the Judge asked Heather if she
wanted me to be her mother. She answered yes and jumped into my arms hugging
me hard and kissing me on the cheek. The Judge smiled and signed the last
form and handed it to his clerk to notarize. Then the clerk handed us a
notarized copy for us and I officially had a new daughter and Nikki had a
little sister.

	It was almost 6:00PM when we got home. I broke out a bottle of my best
champagne and popped the top as Nikki pulled out three glasses. We toasted
to all of our good fortune and then got naked and all jumped into the
swimming pool! The End
