If this offends you then don't read it. If you are not 18 or whatever the age maybe where your from, don't read it. If you just don't like the idea of love between two ladies, go somewhere else. Don't read it. The characters are not real. Any similarities are just that. This story is fiction and none of the events ever took place. Now that I'm not going to be sued... hehe. I still have many, many chapters to go. Let me know what you think so far. Good or bad. I love to write so you will have a lot of reading if you check back in. As always, enjoy. Amanda upside_umop_insideout Part 2 The Beginning After everyone was set Alex sat down next to Emily, the closest she had ever sat to her in the younger ones presence. It was as if a weight had been lifted from her shoulders. As much as she wanted to stay like this forever, she knew the pain that she would have to relive in telling her story, their story. It was time. "You can do this, Em." Alex said softly. "It's okay, mom. Just talk to us." Piper's voice reached her, quietly encouraging her. Emily took Alexis's hand in her own, taking a deep breath she fixed her eyes on the world outside their kitchen window, she did just that. The world that passed by unknowing, never knowing the pain that filled her voice as she began to talk. She never took her eyes from that window as she slipped back into the past. Emily's stomach filled with butterflies as she walked into her class. She had finally decided to go back and this first year, while it had been hard, had fulfilled her. Emily missed her kids with work and school cutting into her time with them, but she needed this. It brought back so many dreams she had had when she was younger. It also brought back something else. A primal sexual desire for women. A desire that she had put from her mind for so many years, trying to deny it. As she walked to her seat, she saw the one who reminded her of who she really was. Alexis's dark hair hung to her shoulders, where it curled ever so slightly. Her beautiful smile reached her eyes, making them twinkle, as Emily neared. "Hey, sit by me today?" She asked, pointing to the seat next to her. Emily felt herself flush. She hated that her face showed everything she felt. Emily nodded and tucking a piece of stray hair behind her ear, walked around Alexis to take a seat. "You look stunning today." Alexis said turning to her, ever the flirt. "But then again, you always do." The heat in her checks intensified. "Thank you." Emily said quietly. Taking a steadying breath she looked into Alexis's piercing eyes. "Your lying but thank you anyway." "Oh, sweetie, that is something that I don't lie about." Alexis's voice grew husky. "You are beautiful. Whoever it is that is telling you any different is the one who is lying." Emily turned her eyes from Alexis's, hoping the class would start soon. It was becoming hard for her to breath. Alexis and Emily had became fast friends at the beginning of Emily's freshman year, and just as fast Emily had became attracted to her. Alexis was always involved in some new fling, whether it be a girl or a guy she didn't care. Alexis knew Emily was straight but never turned away from a chance to flirt with Emily or find a way to `casually' touch her. "How are the kiddies?" Alexis asked casually as she flipped through her notes. "They are good. Brant is getting so big. I swear he's the tallest three year old I know and he just turned three a few months back. Piper, she's a handful. I am dreading the day she becomes a teen." Emily sighed as she leaned back. It was true, she had her hands full with those two. She was just glad their dad was supportive of her going back to school, if only he knew that an education wasn't the only reason she was going. There relationship was shaky way before she had started school, before she met this coy little beauty that sat next to her. Things had been even more strained since she had started, but her husband swore it was nothing to do with her going to school. She knew that even if it was he would never tell her. For years he had practically begged her to go back. It had been a dream of hers, before kids, before a husband, and a house and all that goes with it. "You look like you've had a hard week." Alexis said, looking at her. "That bad?" "Mark and I had another fight. He stormed out. I swear I don't even know what we were fighting about. The smallest thing sets one of us off. I'm glad he at least waited till the kids where asleep. I never want to fight in front of them. God, when is this class going to start." She asked, looking at her watch. Emily knew that her blatant change of subject wouldn't work, but she had at least tried. "If he's such an ass, why do you stay with him?" She asked, looking over at her friend. "For once I would love to hear you say, `Mark actually took me out and we had a blast. Then we came home and made hot, passionate love.' That would be something worth saving." Emily gasped and looked around to see if anyone else had heard her vulgar comment, but noticed everyone was getting tired of waiting for the class to begin also. "You, you are just crude." Emily said pointing to Alexis, but a smile pulled at the corners of her mouth. Grabbing her finger, smiling Alex lowered her voice. "I can take you home with me and show you just how crude I can be." Emily felt liquid fire shoot through her veins from her fingertips to her very center. Why was it that the smallest touch from Alexis seemed to throw her into a frenzy? The smallest touch and she was wet. Pulling back her finger, Emily turned to her notes, pretending to ignore Alex's comment. "If you only knew how much I would love that." She thought to herself. "So anyway, Emily..." Alex said but was cut off by the PA that had stood up at the front of the class. "Well, folks, hate to tell you, but Teach won't be here today. Had some emergency. I would take over for him but he also has all the notes for today's lecture. So, you are all off the hook." Cheers went up around the room, as everyone started to pack up their things. "Well, that leaves me with two and a half hours to do absolutely nothing." Emily smiled as she placed her books in her bag. "Well, you could always take me up on my offer." Alex joked, looking over at Emily. Emily looked up into those beautiful eyes and froze. She knew it was just a joke, but how she longed to take Alexis up on it. Emily finally pulled her eyes away, knowing she had held that look longer than she should have. "Emily?" Alexis called to her as Emily stood up, snatching up the last of her things. "I have to go." Emily felt like she was blushing from head to toe and wanted to get away from Alexis as fast as possible. "No, you don't." Alexis said grabbing her wrist. "You just said you had two hours free." She insisted. Emily tugged her wrist back, pulling it from Alex's grip. "I, I have to go." Emily said, practically running down the stairs for the door. She was sadly mistaken if she thought that Alex would leave it at that. She prayed she would. Emily rounded the corner of the building, quickly walking around people. "Emily, please stop." Alexis voice trailed over the crowd to her. Emily began to move faster as she made her way outside. "Emily. STOP." Alexis's voice was right behind her and she suddenly felt her whole body being flung around. "What the hell is wrong with you girl?" Alexis looked pissed. "I told you I have to go." Emily insisted. "No, you told me that you where free and only after I joked with you, you decided you had to leave. We always joke. I didn't mean to offend you." Alexis sighed. "You didn't offend me, Alexis." Emily said quietly, staring at her feet. She couldn't look in Alexis's eyes, wouldn't dare. She knew she'd lose control if she did. "Then why are you running from me?" She waited, her hands still on Emily's shoulders, she slowly circled her thumbs on the delicate pail skin benieth them. Tried as she might, she longed for Emily. She would take any touch she could get. "I'm not running from you." Emily sighed softly. "Then what, Emily? Look at me." Alexis raised her hand to Emily's chin and making Emily look her in the eyes. "What?" She studied Emily's beautiful green eyes, taking in the way the sun hit the small flecks of gold that filled them. As she looked it hit her and she dropped her hand from Emily's chin in shock. "Oh god, I didn't see it before. You want to. I see it in your eyes." Emily raised her chin and took a deep breath, never taking her gaze from Alexis's. They stood staring at each other, the sexual tension building between them. Alexis caressed Emily's cheek with the back of her hand and sighed. Emily leaned into her hand and let her eyes fall shut. "I have to be dreaming." She sighed. "No, you are very much awake." Alexis's voice sounded like music in her ears, but brought her back to herself at the same time. "I can't do this, Lexie." She said opening her eyes slowly. It felt so good to stand this close to her. She wanted to kiss the soft lips and every other part of Alexis's body, but she held back. Alexis sighed and drew her hand back. "You can, but you won't. You want this, I can see it in your eyes." "I won't deny that. I've wanted you for so very long. But I have kids and I have Mark..." "Fuck him. Has he done anything but piss you off for the last, how long have I known you, the last 5 months?" Alexis spewed. "Don't say th..." Emily's words where cut short as Alexis brought her hands to the sides of Emily face and kissed her. It was short and so soft and tender. It was just what Emily needed. Alexis leaned back to look at her. She had been in love with Emily for almost as long as she had known her. It took her breath away how strong and how fast it had been. As much as she had tried, as many people as she had tried it with, she couldn't get Emily out of her mind. She pulled back just far enough to look into Emily's eyes and waited, silently, watching Emily for any reaction. As Emily searched her face, Alexis saw the hunger flash in her eyes. "More." Emily sighed, stepping into Alexis. She wanted this more than she would ever admit. Alexis pulled Emily close, her lips hovering over Emily's. "Are you sure?" Alexis whispered, her breath tickling the lips before her. Emily replied by pressing her lips against Alexis's. She was lost in the moment, unaware of the people passing by, unaware of the looks they were receiving. All she knew was the feeling of Alexis, her kisses soft and sweet. Emily's lips parted and Alexis took the invitation, her tongue diving into Emily's waiting mouth. The sound of her own moan brought Emily back to reality. "We shouldn't be doing this. Not here. Not now." Emily said breathlessly, pressing her forehead against Alexis's. "You want this as much as me. I feel it in the way you kiss me." Alexis's breath was ragged. "I'm done denying that. I want you, Alexis." Emily sighed, and as she leaned back, Alexis dropped her hands away from Emily's face, wrapping them around her waist. "Come home with me, Emily." Alexis plead softly. Emily turned from Alexis and walked shakily across the court yard and lowered herself onto a bench. She didn't trust her legs to hold her much longer. She'd never felt a kiss like that, one that left her weak in the knees. Alexis stood staring at her from her spot a few feet away, confused. She knew all that came with Emily. She knew she had a family and didn't want to take her from that. Alexis also knew that neither of them could deny their feelings anymore. Emily looked over at her, beckoning her with her eyes. "What does this mean, Alexis?" Emily asked quietly as Alexis sat next to her. Emily laid her head against Alexis's shoulder. "This means for the first time in a long time, you have someone on your side, someone whose willing to love you." "You love me?" She asked, not waiting for an answer, she continued. "Cause I felt that for you for a long time. I just... I guess I have been to afraid to act on it." "I think I have loved you since the first time I saw you smile, Emily. I don't want you to give up your life for me, but I know I want you in mine." Emily nodded, not answering for a while. When she continued Alexis strained to hear her, even with her head inches from her ear. "There's not much of a life to give up. I only have my kids. Mark. Mark and I are through. After last night, I am sure of it." Alexis sat quietly, letting her say what she needed. "I have a lot I have to figure out. The one thing I know for sure is I want to be in your life, whatever that means. Whatever comes with that." Emily sat up and turned to Alexis, taking her hands. Emily took a deep breath and squared her shoulders, bringing her chin up. "I want to come home with you. And yes, I am sure." Emily added at the questioning look on Alexis's face.
