I instinctively reached up to close the blinds and felt movement in unexpected places. I also realized I couldn't reach the drawstring for the blinds and started to sit up. This created a LOT more movement where there shouldn't have been any, and jolted me fully awake. I looked down at myself and realized why the movements had occurred. The twin globes on my chest hadn't been there when I'd went to bed! I continued to notice new sensations every second. The difference in my arms' length and strength, the feel of long red hair tickling my back and neck (both bare), and once again, the breasts! In a panic, I ripped the covers off my lower body and fearfully stared at what lay revealed underneath. After a moment of panic, I began to calm down a little. It wasn't easy, but a small corner of my mind realized that hysteria would only cause me trouble at this point. I took several deep breaths and dragged myself under control. I looked around the room. No changes THERE, at least! It was still my mellow little one-room apartment, with the concert posters and my band Flashback's platinum and gold records on the walls. I got up on unsteady legs and went over to the mirror. At first glance, I couldn't believe who I saw. My sister was reflected back at me! A second glance revealed some minor differences, however. I still had the small scar on the inside of my left calf where I'd been bitten by a dog, my height was about two inches taller than her 5'5", and my hair was just that tad different a red than hers. My long copper hair fell almost to my waist in the back. My face was a photographer's dream, photogenic from any angle, with my bright green eyes seeming to glow like a cat's. My nose was a small thing compared to its previous size, but my mouth generously made up for the difference. My breasts stood out firm and invitingly, almost too much of a good thing to go with the small waist underneath them. My hips seemed to explode off my torso, and the patch of hair between them matched the copper color on top. The legs seemed to go on forever, down to a tiny set of feet. Fear began blowing through my mind again as I gawked at myself. What the hell had happened? I asked myself. Unfortunately, if I had any answers, I wasn't aware of them. All I knew was that I'd awakened with a postergirl body and a covergirl face, and had absolutely no idea how! I shook my head, sighed, and, still half dazed, decided to take a shower. The shower was another new experience. I had to be careful how I washed certain parts of my body; it was almost too pleasurable to bear! My breasts tingled happily every time the water hit them, and the washcloth teased my skin. When I washed my new genitals, I had to stop for fear of exploding in the tub. As I stepped out of the shower, I realized that I needed another towel, just for the luxurious growth of hair on my head. As I retrieved one from the linen closet, my phone rang. Hoping that the caller was someone who could explain what had happened, I picked up the receiver and said, "Hello?" My voice sent trickles of ice down my spine, just from hearing the soft, breathy contralto tones. "Hello, Mac?" a woman's voice I'd never heard before spoke. "Is that you?" "Who is this?" I asked in return. "Alex!" Alex, I thought in a daze. My band's guitarist and one of my oldest and best friends, is now a woman...the same as me? "Al...what's wrong with your voice?" I asked. "The same as yours, Mac. I woke up this morning, and found myself in a female body. Long blonde hair, big blue eyes, and a set of tits that would make my sister so jealous it isn't even funny! Since your voice sounds as weird as mine, I'd assume it happened to you, too. What d'you look like?" I told him, and his voice (her voice?) filled with wonder. "I never even thought about that! I just realized who I look like. My Aunt Noreen when she was about my age! Except my chest is a bit bigger than hers, I think." "Have you talked to Rudy or Mel?" I asked. "No, not yet. Why?" "Just a hunch. I'll call Mel, you call Rudy. If I'm right, they'll be just as confused as we are. Why don't we plan on having lunch at the studio today and see if we can figure out what's going on?" "All right, that sounds like a plan. If you're right, call me back and let me know. Ciao!" Alex hung up, and I winced. That last word had sounded just a little TOO feminine, considering the source. Still, Alex had said that since the eleventh grade, so I dropped it. I dialed Mel's number and waited. After a few rings, Mel sleepily answered, "Hello?" I almost dropped the phone. At least Mel (short for Mellissa) sounded normal! "Mel, don't hang up!" I said quickly. "It's me, Mac. I know it doesn't sound like it, but it is. Have you had anything strange happen this morning?" "Mac, what's wrong with your voice?" she asked. "You sound almost like a woman!" "That's the problem!" I groaned. "I AM a woman, and so is Alex, and unless I'm wrong, so is Rudy. Don't ask me how, and please don't hang up, because this is no joke. Just come over to my place!" Well, it took a bit more than that, but at last she agreed, with the warning that if this was a practical joke I'd at least SOUND like a girl forever. She said she'd be over in about half an hour. I said, "Could you bring some stuff I could borrow?" "Like what?" "Well...clothes and stuff," I managed to get out. She sighed. "I should have seen THAT coming! You want makeup, too, dear?" I grimaced at the phone. "Don't be funny, Mel, this isn't a joke. Just bring some stuff that's kind of...what's the word?" "Androgenous?" "THAT'S the one! Yeah." "I'll try, but I don't have too much like that. Remember, I'm the only girl in a big rock band, and I dress the part!" "I hate to tell you this, but I think we just became an all-girl band!" I replied. "See ya in a while." "Bye...girlfriend." She hung up, and I sighed again. Life was about to get rough, I could see! ***** I'd found a robe to wear and finally got my hair dry when the doorbell rang. I looked through the peephole and saw Mel. Her eyes narrowed as I opened the door and she saw me. "Mac, that had BETTER be you!" she warned. "I don't care what kind of sick joke this is, if it isn't, find yourself a new lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist...and a new lover!" I sighed. "If it wasn't me, how would I know about the mole on the inside of your left thigh? Or that you bite your lip when you orgasm? Or-" "OK, OK, I'm convinced!" she said quickly, coming in and closing the door. "But...what happened?" "I don't know," I said. "We were all a little under the weather last night, except you, if you'll recall." She'd jokingly said it was our time of the month, an altogether too apt reference now! "I came home after practice, took some aspirin, and went straight to bed. When I woke up, this is what I looked like. I talked to Alex, and he said the same thing had happened to him." Mel looked me over. "Take off that robe so I can see what I have to work with," she said in a business-like tone. I shrugged the robe off my shoulders and stood before her nude, with my hair wrapped up in a towel. She looked at me critically for a moment, then said, "You know, you look a lot like your sister now." "I noticed that too. Alex said he looked like his aunt when she was his age. So, have you got clothes for me?" "Well...you're probably not gonna like them, but I brought over what I had. I can tell you right now that I haven't got a bra that'll come close to fitting you. Everything else should be all right, though. I'm very jealous, by the way." "Of what?" "You're a LOT better looking than I am now!" she grinned. "Gosh, thanks, I needed that!" I said in mock anger. "Not only have I become a girl, but my girlfriend's jealous of my looks! What's next, an offer to appear nude in Playboy?" Just then the phone rang. "You never know," Mel said as she answered the phone. "Hello?...Mr. Hefner? Why, yes, she is, just a minute!" She looked at the expression on my face and laughed, then said, "No, Alex, I'm just joking with Mac. No, I've already heard. Rudy too? Why doesn't this surprise me? You know, I told Mac that if this was a joke we'd soon make it NOT a joke, capiche? OK, then, why don't you both come over here and I'll see what I can do. What's that? Just wear loose-fitting clothes like a sweatsuit or something....OK, see you in a bit." She hung up and said, "Alex said to tell you it happened to Rudy, too. He's a brunette and looks a lot like his cousin Angie. You remember her, the model?" All of a sudden the situation overwhelmed me. I felt tears begin to flow and I sat down. "Mel, what's happening?" I cried. "How did the three of us suddenly become women?" She sat down beside me and pulled me into her arms. "I don't know, sweetheart," she answered. "All I know is that we're a team, and we'll figure it out. If it can be reversed, we'll get it done, and if not, I'll help you all learn to live with it. I'll always be here for you." Her last words broke the dam, and I let the tears come until there weren't any more. A small part of my brain kept telling me to stop crying, that I was a man, but the biology was in total control by this time. Mellissa held me and let me get everything out. At last I looked up and smiled weakly. "At least now we can sleep together at your mother's," I joked weakly. "Watch what you say, young lady, you might get it!" she answered mock-sternly. I saw a gleam in her eye, but let it go as she said, "Let's get you dressed before they get here so I don't feel so overdressed!" Rock Star Swap by Mellissa Lynn Chapter 2 "That's what I was afraid of," Mel said. "You're gonna have to go braless until we can go shopping. At least everything else fit!" "Big comfort," I muttered, looking down at myself. I was wearing a pair of women's jogging shoes, a pair of jeans that felt like they were painted on (and went on that way, too!), and one of my old concert T-shirts. Mel had done some work with my hair as well, combing it out and doing just a touch of styling on it. Her reasoning had been that I couldn't just hide out in the apartment all the time, so I might as well look good. She even talked me into letting her put on just a touch of makeup ("You don't need much!"), and some cheap jewelry. The doorbell rang. "Well, Mac, are you going to answer it or should I?" I realized that it was the moment of truth. "I will," I said. "It's probably Alex and Rudy anyway." I looked out the peephole and saw I was right. I saw two good-looking women outside my door and wished I was a man. Their clothes were all wrong, though, I thought, then wondered where the thought came from. I opened the door and they almost ran in. "Hi, GIRLS," Mel grinned, "Have a fun trip?" She loved teasing them, and now she had them dead. They were both big womanizers, and Alex had a chauvinistic streak in him. He was looking really haggard right about now, and she relented a bit as he glared at her. "Gosh, Mel, thanks for the support. I see you've helped Mac along, though! Or is it-?" I cut Alex off. "Say it and you'll be in your first catfight!" "Calm down, girls," Mel said, just as she always did when we were bickering. She realized it immediately and said, "Sorry. Anyway, bickering isn't going to help anyone figure out what's happened to you three." She was right, of course. "Now, the first thing we have to do is get you two a bit better dressed. I'm glad I brought enough stuff for everyone!" A short time later, Rudy was wearing the other pair of jeans and a T-shirt that fit him (her?) better than mine did. I was a bit jealous of the bra he was wearing, too. He had pierced ears already, so Mel loaned him a pair of small hoops to wear and a matching bracelet, put a light coat of makeup on him, and he was done. Then she turned to Alex. "Alex, I know you're going to think I planned it this way, but I really didn't. I only brought two pairs of pants." "So I'll just wear what I've got on. No big deal," Alex replied. "Not where we're going! We have to get you three some clothes, you know. You can't just wear what you have on right now all the time. No, I'm afraid this is what's left." She pulled out a blue denim dress. "NO WAY!" Alex yelled. "I'm not about to wear that!" Mel looked at me and Rudy. "Why don't you two go into the other room for awhile?" Rudy looked at me. "Come on, Red, I'll beat you at some Donkey Kong." I followed him into my bedroom, noticing the graceful, natural flow of his body as he walked. It was becoming increasingly hard to think of Rudy as a "he". After the door closed, we heard Alex start yelling at Mel again, then Mel said something sharply and it got quiet. A very short time later we heard the sound of sobbing coming from the other room. My guess was that Alex had broken down, much as I had, and was getting it out of his system now. That meant it would soon be Rudy's turn, and I began watching for it. He sat there playing the game as if he hadn't a care in the world, though. A short time later Mel poked her head in the door and said, "You can come out now." Rudy walked out ahead of me. As I started to pass Mel, she grabbed my arm and whispered fiercely into my ear, "Be nice!" Mel had us sit on the couch then told Alex, "Come on out!" He did, and my jaw dropped. Rudy and I had become good-looking, and Mel was naturally so, but Alex was the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen! Mel had done a LOT of work, and it showed. Alex was wearing the denim dress, black pantyhose, and matching denim 2" heels. He was carrying a matching purse, and the earrings dangling from his ears weren't clip-ons. Since I knew he hadn't had pierced ears before, I looked a question at Mel, who nodded minutely. He had been exquisitely made up, and smelled of perfume. "Mac, Rudy, meet Alexis," Mel said. "She's decided that, since this has happened, to make the best of it and enjoy the experience. Which I might recommend to the two of you!" She shot a look at me. "We all have to face facts here," Mel continued. "This very well might be forever. That's going to affect a WHOLE lot of things for all of us, although I know it's a bit more for the three of you than me. All I can say is, it's a good thing I'M the lead singer for the band! Our sound won't change much, except for backgrounds." With all that had happened, I'd almost forgotten about us as a musical group. It suddenly came to me that we were in a real spot. How to explain to millions of fans that you've suddenly had a spontaneous sex change? "More importantly, and more immediate, is the fact that you are, right now, men in women's bodies. If this is permanent, and if we're going to remain a visible, touring musical group, that has got to change. Effective immediately, therefore, you three young LADIES are now enrolled in Miss Mellissa's School of Femininity. There will be classes in behavior, hygiene, clothing, makeup, and other topics that will come up as we come along." "Also, I know a psychiatrist I want you to start speaking to. This is a drastic change for you all, I know, and I don't want any of you to go nutso because of it. Just remember, half of the human race is female, and we cope." I marveled at how organized Mel sounded. When I commented, she grinned and said, "No, I'm not. This is just the tip of the iceberg! I'm sure there's stuff we haven't even begun to work out yet. But we'll worry about that as it happens." "Now, the first thing we have to do is go shopping for your new wardrobes. Bring credit cards, girls, 'cause this ain't gonna be cheap!" She flashed a grin. "But it's gonna be FUN!!!" ***** Well, Mel was absolutely right. It WASN'T cheap! I alone had spent almost two thousand dollars in a day, and I was the most conservative one of us. Alexis had spent a bit more, but it was Rudy who shocked us all. Rudy spent almost four thousand dollars on clothing and makeup and jewelry, and did it like a pro! Even Mel was a bit dazed by the amount. "Rudy, aren't you going a bit overboard? I mean, this stuff might not be necessary for long." "If it isn't, I can always give the stuff to you, Mel. We're the same size anyway." Amazing how an offer like that can quiet a woman! Mel also had to caution Alexis about buying wild, outrageous clothes. "Look, Alex," she said, deliberately using his male name, "You're not ready for this kind of stuff yet. My God, you're still a virgin! Are you ready to give that up already?" Alexis' face turned beet red as (s)he answered, "No, Mellissa." "All right, then. Trust me, sweetie, I'll get you to that point soon enough, but you have to walk before you run...if you know what I mean." She smiled evilly, and Alexis turned even more red, as did Rudy. I guess I'm dense, because Mel whispered in my ear, "I'm talking about men, dummy!" It was my turn to glow red. I guess it's true about women going in groups. The urge hit us all at about the same moment, or we were all waiting for Mel to have to go, one or the other. Anyway, Mel suddenly grinned. "Come on girls, it's time to enter forbidden territory!" The first thing I noticed was that the ladies' room is much bigger than the mens'. The second thing I noticed was all the other women. They were primping and teasing their hair and checking their makeup, and we seemed to fit in beautifully. I went in, remembered Mel's advice from earlier just in time, and sat down to relieve myself. I noticed that it felt like it was coming from somewhere different than before, but by then I had to go too bad to care. I did my business, wiped myself as I'd seen Mel do a thousand times, pulled myself together, and left the stall. I saw Mel at the mirror and joined her. She nudged me in the ribs, and I realized I was supposed to primp, too. So I fussed with my hair and redid my lipstick. After we were through, we walked back out into the mall. "Remember the cover for 'Girls Don't Do It'? The one where we were all in the mens' room standing in front of the urinals? Well, I think we should do 'Boys Don't Do It' next!" Mel grinned. "What do you think?" We ate lunch at the mall, shopped a little longer, then headed back to my place. I collapsed onto my couch with a sigh of relief. "Don't get too comfortable, Mac," Mel said. "We'll relax for a few, then put this stuff away. Afterwards, we'll head over to Rudy's and Alexis' places and get their stuff stowed, get some dinner, then head to the studio. We still had a job to do, remember?" "Please, Sarge, can't we take a break?" I groaned. "My feet are killing me!" "You think you have it bad!" Alexis replied. "Mel and me were walking around in HEELS!" "Yes, we were, and I have to say you mastered them quite well, Alexis," Mel said encouragingly. "And that brings up another point. Mac and Rudy, you two got off easy today in jeans and T-shirts. Tonight you won't be so lucky. This evening, girls, we're going out nice. To Pavarelli's." "But-" I started to protest. Mel cut me off. "Look, Mac, Rudy and especially Alexis have been coping pretty well with this stuff. You're going to have to as well. Get it through that head that this could very well be permanent. Forever. End of time, world without end, hallelujah, amen. Understand? Even if it isn't, you've got to act like it's the-" "Worst-case scenario," I muttered. She glared at me for a moment, then continued. "If you want to look at it like that, fine. No matter what, it's what you are right now, and at least for awhile. Wouldn't it be better to look at it as a learning experience and at least appear natural, or appear as a mannish freak in a centerfold's body?" Put that way, I felt a little ashamed. Mel was doing her best to help us out with this, and I was the one dragging my feet. But, dammit, I just wasn't comfortable! "I'll do my best," I said. "Just bear with me. I'm NOT happy about this!" Mel gave me a one-armed hug. "I know, sweetie, I know. I'm not altogether thrilled either, to have my lover and my bandmates suddenly become better-looking than me without even trying. It isn't fair! You didn't even go through puberty!" She grinned, then suddenly sobered. "And that's another thing I forgot about. When we go out, we need to hit the drugstore. I forgot some hygienal stuff." "While we're just sitting here resting, why don't you two come up with female names for yourselves?" Alexis said. "It just doesn't feel right to call you two Mac and Rudy now!" "Actually," Rudy said, "I already have. I was thinking about that at the mall, when I really started getting into this stuff." He looked a little embarrassed as he admitted the last. "I think I'm going to call myself Rita." Mel nodded in acknowledgement. "Rita it is, and a very pretty name at that. Mac, that just leaves you. What's it gonna be?" I sighed. "I don't know! I don't want-" Then I realized I was dragging my feet again and muttered, "I guess my middle name would work." There was dead silence in the room. At last Mel said, "Are you sure? You aren't going to fly off in a rage when someone calls you that...Robin?" For an instant I was pissed. I hated my middle name, Robin, with a passion, and they all knew it. My mother had stuck me with it in honor of her dead sister, and I was constantly teased about it in school. It just sounded so...girlish! But now I had the body to match the name, so I decided to use it. "I'll be all right," I said. "Besides, at least this way some of my identification is still good." "Okay, then! Well, Robin, let's get your clothes and stuff put away and get you dressed for dinner. I know it's early, but there's a lot of things to do before then." Rock Star Swap by Mellissa Lynn Chapter 3 The restaurant was crowded when we arrived, but the maitre'd smiled and waved us right in, recognizing Mellissa for some reason. "As always, Miss Mellissa, your table is reserved," he said with a smile. "Thank you, Alfredo," Mel said with a smile. She pressed her hand into his, and I realized that he not only recognized her, he also recognized Mr. Jackson in her hand. The transfer was so smooth that I almost missed it. "How did he know your name, Mel?" I asked as we walked over to our table. "He doesn't look like the type to be a fan of our music." "Believe it or not, Robin, I eat here fairly often, especially since our last album! I like restaurants like this. The service is outstanding, the food's fabulous, and you never know who you might meet. Remember Tom, the guy I was with before? I met him here." Mel smiled wickedly. "Maybe tonight we'll all get lucky!" My stomach did a one hundred eighty degree roll. "I don't think so," I said. "My luck took a major dive today, remember?" "You know, this attitude is starting to get annoying," Rudy- RITA!-said. "Can't you just relax and go with this for awhile? It isn't the end of the world! We could have woke up a lot worse ways than this!" "You go, girl!" Mel said. "Rita's right, Robin. Just relax! You might even end up enjoying life this way." Just then we arrived at our table. Four men were waiting to hold our chairs for us as we sat down. Remembering the quick tutoring Mel had given us before we left, I slid my hands under the skirt of my dress and sat down, instinctively smiling at the man holding my chair. He smiled in return, and despite myself, I felt a small quiver in my stomach. The men went back to work after one had taken our orders, and Mel looked at us each in turn. "How you doing, guys?" she asked softly. "I can't say for anyone else, but I'm starting to enjoy this!" Alexis said. "The little courtesies a woman can get, like doors being held and chairs and all, that's a bit of a turn-on!" "I have to agree," Rita said. "I wasn't happy with leaving in a dress at first, and especially THIS dress, but it's all okay now. I think I'll be all right if this does turn out to be permanent." I looked at them all in shock. "What are you saying? You don't WANT this to be reversed? You want to stay women for good?" I shook my head, feeling my control starting to slip again. "I just want this nightmare to end! I just want my old self back again!" Mel grabbed my arm and said, "Calm down, Robin, before we get unwanted ears. I don't think that's what they're saying. And why is this so hard for you? If anyone, I would have thought ALEX would be the one taking it the hardest, and YOU'D be the mellow one right about now. So what's up?" I looked at them each in turn and saw only women in their places. Mel I expected that from, but Alexis and Rita were exactly the same way. Then I looked down at myself, and saw the fourth woman at the table. I shook my head and sighed as I felt the hair tickling my bare back. "I don't know," I said softly. "All I know is my world dropped out from under me this morning. My two best friends are now two gorgeous women, and so am I! How do I tell people who I am? When my parents call and hear a female voice, how do I tell them it's me? And how can you stand to be around me, Mel?" I felt the tears coming. "How can you stay around when all I am now is just another girl?" With that, I got up and quickly walked away toward the exit. I stepped outside and the tears started flowing. I ran to the car, hearing my heels clattering as I went. I got to the door when Mel caught up to me and grabbed my arm. "Get inside!" she said roughly. I was surprised enough that I stopped crying and did as she said. She got in next to me and slammed the door. "How DARE you do that to me!" she shouted. I winced back in total shock. "How dare you question me why I've stuck around today! What, do you think that I don't care? Did you think I was just having a fling with you? Is that it? Goddammit, I love you! Haven't you gotten that through your head yet? I don't love your body any more or any less because it's female than I did when it was male. I love the person inside, not the shell!" In a softer tone, she continued, "What's the real reason this is so hard for you, Mac? Please tell me. It's going to eat you alive otherwise!" She took my hand and looked at me. I stopped a moment and examined my thoughts. Finally I said simply, "I'm scared." "I can understand, that," she said. "I'm sure Alex and Rudy are too. For that matter, so am I. This is a major complication in all of our lives. But together, we'll make it. We've done it that way for almost ten years now! We'll get through this, too, one way or another, I promise!" "I'm not sure if I can," I said. "I've been going mainly in coast mode today, but just now, at the table, it all hit me again when Alexis and Rita said they were adjusting. The way they said it, it sounds like they're giving up! If they give up, it isn't going to be us anymore, it's going to be me, and that's when I'm gonna lose it. I can't cope with this body, Mel!" "Why? What's so wrong with it? It's the same as mine, and I deal with mine every day. Am I insane?" "It's different for you. You were born with it. How would you feel if you woke up tomorrow with a hairy chest, wide shoulders, a beard, and testicles and a penis? How would you react?" "I'd like to say as if it were an adventure, something to try with joy, but I can't. I know I'm not in a position to understand your feelings, Mac. I'm just here for you, no matter what. If you go back to being Mac, that's great. If not, then I'll spend the rest of my life with Robin as a lesbian. I DON'T CARE, I LOVE YOU. Is that plain enough?" I felt a weight roll off my back. I hadn't said it, but I was terrified that she would leave me. Male or female, I loved Mellissa more than anyone I'd ever met since my first wife Linda passed on in childbirth. The tears came again, but this time they were a release, not just a symptom. It took me a few minutes, but gradually I got myself under control. "All done?" Mel asked. "Yeah, I think so." "Good. Now I have to do a quick repair job on your makeup. You have major raccoon eyes now!" The statement made me giggle a bit. Mel patched me up quickly and we returned inside. Alexis and Rita looked anxiously at me when we reached the table. "You okay, Mac?" Alexis asked quietly. "Yeah. Ladies," I said deliberately, "I'm sorry. This day's just been a little much for me. I know you both are probably feeling the same way." "No, actually we were talking about going to the male stripper show after dinner!" Rita said with a gleam in his - no, HER eyes. "Wanna come along?" The look on Mel's face was priceless, and I couldn't pass up the chance to tease her. "Sure!" Her face turned even redder, and I added the coup de grace. "Maybe we'll get lucky!" The rest of the conversation was interrupted by the arrival of our food, which was delicious. I think we all had a little more wine than we needed, but under the circumstances, I think it was warranted. I paid for dinner with my gold card, adding a generous tip, and we left. Mel slid into the driver's seat and said, "Hurry up, girls!" After we were all in, Mel pulled out and we were on our way. I realized we were heading the wrong way to make the studio and said, "Where are we going, Mel?" She looked at me sweetly and said, "Why, where do you think, you silly girl? We're going where you said you wanted to go. The male stripper show!" She grinned. "I'm going to HELP you all get lucky!" It took some talking, but we finally convinced Mel (who was getting even) to turn the car around and head for the studio. When we arrived, we saw another problem on the horizon. "Hello, Mel!" Jack, the door guard at Rabbit Studios, said. The grin on his face grew a bit wider as he looked at the rest of us. "Who are your friends?" "Jack, this is Robin, Rita, and Alexis. They're old friends of mine from college," Mel said. "They're trying to break into the business, and I thought I'd give them a tour." "That's cool. You're on your own up there, though. None of your guys are here. Didn't you have a seven o'clock practice scheduled?" Mel feigned curiosity. "Yeah, we did. I wonder what's up?" She shrugged her shoulders. "Oh well. We'll just go up and wait." She grinned at us. "Maybe we'll play a little bit while we're up there." "Okay. Ladies, if you'll just sign here please. This is our log for uncontracted visitors." PANIC! It wouldn't take much of an experienced eye to recognize the handwritings. I saw the same realization hit Alexis and Rita. Still, there was nothing to do but to sign if we wanted in. It was a shock when I saw the way my hand was writing. The signature that came out was nothing like my own. What it was was most definitely feminine penmanship. Mel and I watched in shock as Rita and then Alexis signed in similar fashion. "Come on, girls, let's go upstairs!" Mel said. "See ya later, Jack." "It was nice meeting you, ladies," Jack said as we went up to "our" studio. We called it that because every one of our albums but our first, self-titled, one had been formed here. I sighed with relief as I slid onto my keyboard stool. I'd only lost an inch or so in my change, and it wasn't really noticeable here. I cracked my fingers and started to warm up. "Damn!" I heard Rita swear. "I swear I'm gonna cut all of this hair off!" I looked over and had to repress a giggle. Rita had lost the most height of the three of us, going from 6'1" to about 5'6". I'd figured out that the excess mass we'd shed had went to things like nails and hair. All of which meant that Rita's hair was quite long, almost to the bottom of her butt, and was getting in the way of her guitar work. Mel came to the rescue once again. "I was wondering who'd have that problem first!" she said with a grin. "Now you know the difference between long hair and LONG hair!" Mellissa's was almost as long as Rita's, although in practices she tended to put it in a ponytail or a bun. She proceeded to show Rita how to do the same thing. "You know," she said, "this is another thing we're going to have to figure out. We have a tour scheduled to start in a few months. If you're all still girls, we're either going to have to cancel or come up with some really creative stories." "Or we tell the world the truth," Alexis said. I looked at her hard, but there wasn't a trace of joking in her tone or her face. "I mean," she continued," why not? Maybe there's someone out there who can help us if we just tell them what's happened. Or, if not, why should our careers suffer because of this?" "All good points, but that would change your lives even more," Mel said. "We'd suddenly be a novelty act. I can see the headlines now. 'Mel and the Transsexuals!' No, I don't think so on that one. We may have to tell some people in the industry, but the general public doesn't need to know." "I have a neat idea," I said. "Let's find out if we ARE still a band before we worry about that. Let's get started!" We began as always, with a quick set of oldie covers. "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On" was the first song. I always sang this, much to the others' horror (I had no voice whatsoever, but I loved the song). Tonight, though, I opened my mouth and found out that ROBIN had a great voice, almost a soprano. It wasn't a voice suited to singing songs from the Killer, but God, it was pretty! "Hold it!" Mel shouted. "Let's try something a bit different." She went over to our music cabinet and pulled out a tape. "Rita, can you set this up so the vocals are mixed out?" "Sure," Rita said. While she was setting that up, Mel brought a piece of paper to me. "Robin, I want you to try singing this song. If I'm right, Flashback may have a second vocalist...at least for a while." She squeezed my hand as she handed me the sheet. "Ready!" Rita called from the mixing booth. "Okay, Robin, you're on! Hit it, Rita!" The opening notes of Pat Benatar's song "We Belong" floated through the speakers. I jumped in at Mel's signal and almost stopped in shock. Pat Benatar, as any fan knows, is a trained OPERA singer, in the soprano range. I didn't have her training, but I obviously had her range. I finished the song and Mel said, "Wow. If I'd known you'd get THAT out if it, I'd have made you a girl a long time ago!" She grinned, and I stuck my tongue out at her. "All right, Alexis, your turn!" Alexis wasn't nearly as successful as I was, but she had more of a Melissa Etheridge voice. We tried her on some of that, and she sounded great. But Rita was the real surprise. She selected her own tape from the locker, set it up, and settled in to sing. She was a dead ringer vocally for Aretha Franklin! Mel sighed. "This just isn't fair!" she said. "You three skip puberty to get these gorgeous bodies, and now you turn out to have golden throats, too! What's next, movie offers?" "All right," she said, getting serious again, "Let's see what we can do with our own material. Jack Box on three!" We cut into the song, one of the first cuts we'd put together for the new album, and it sounded great...until we started the backing vocals for the chorus. "STOP!" Mel shouted into the mike. "We have a major problem, girls. The music sounds great, but there's not an ounce of testosterone in it! Listen to the playback." She cued it from the booth and I had to agree with her. It was painfully obvious that four women were singing. "Let's try Swamp Pup," Rita suggested. "Right!" Mel exclaimed. "Robin's going to pull the growl out of that soprano mouth? I don't think so!" "No, but I might be able to." Mel looked at Rita in surprise. "All right, Swamp Pup it is. On four!" It didn't take long to find out our Swamp Pup had become a bitch. It was beginning to be frustrating. We tried Foxtail next, then Wanderwitch. It was no use. If Flashback was to continue, it would be as a girl group, at least for the near future. We sat around disgusted until Alexis said, "Let's try Venus Magic. We have to use falsettos for backing anyway." "Why not?" Mel groaned. "It can't be any worse!" Venus Music was Alexis' (Alex's) baby. Alex had found an old poem in a book at the public library and written the song around it. It was his first writing effort, and it was a beauty. We played the song through, and it was the first one to sound perfect. "Well, that's one we can keep!" Mel said, obviously in a better humor. Let's go ahead and knock off for the night. I know we're supposed to do two hours a night, but these are special circumstances. Everyone meet at my house tomorrow." Rock Star Swap by Mellissa Lynn Chapter 4 As we were leaving, Mel caught my sleeve. "Robin?" she asked. "Are you up for some company tonight, for a while? This is scaring me a little now, too." "Sure," I said. Do you Wanna make a night of it?" "We'll see," she said. "That doesn't mean exactly what it used to, remember." I grimaced. I hadn't meant it that way, but she was right. We walked in silence to the car. We dropped Rita off at her apartment, waiting to see that she got in okay. Things were different about walking alone at night now, too, we were learning. Alexis commented on this as we pulled up to her building. "Alexis, sweetheart, that's something you'll get used to as a woman. We all feel that way...unless there's a man around to stop that feeling for us. Don't worry, you'll get used to it." She squeezed Alexis' hand and said, "See ya tomorrow. Oh, use the cold cream to get the makeup off. You might call Rita and tell her the same thing." "Okay. Ciao!" Again we waited until we saw apartment lights come on. "All right, driver," she said, "home. Mine." I was a bit surprised. We almost always went to my apartment. I wondered what was up. Mel wouldn't answer. "Just trust me," she said. We arrived at her house (she'd inherited it from her grandfather), and went in. "Follow me," she said as she led me up to her room. Once there, she said, "Strip." Mystified, I did so, revealing once again to myself my newly-acquired femaleness. It was a bit cold in the room, and I felt my nipples stiffen a bit. Mellissa (suddenly Mel wasn't appropriate anymore) was digging in her dresser for something. When she turned around, she was holding two sets of lingerie. "Pick one," she said. "I'd recommend the green. It brings out your eyes." I took her recommendation, and she helped me put the outfit on. It was a bit tight in the bust, but she said it would do. She handed me a flimsy robe to put on over everything and dressed herself in the matching peach. I was becoming a bit curious, as well as a bit embarrassed at what I was wearing (and thinking). At last my curiosity was too much for me. "What's going on here, Mellissa?" I asked. She was a long time answering. When she did, I heard a tone from her different from any I had heard from her before. "I wanted to tell you this a long time ago, Mac," she said. "it isn't an easy thing to say, though, and I was always afraid I'd lose you." I was a bit stung. "Do you remember the conversation we had in the car earlier? It applies both ways, you know." "It's good to hear you say that, because you're absolutely right. One statement in particular that I made is applicable now." "Which? The one that you love me? The one that it doesn't matter if I'm male or female?" "The one about being a lesbian," she said almost shyly. I felt as if a load of bricks had been dropped on my head. Without looking at me, she went on, "Bisexual, actually. I've known I was bi since high school, before I met you. Do you remember Jamie, the person I told you I broke up with shortly after we started dating?" I nodded. "Her full name was Jamie Louise." "So you've been straight all that time since we started dating?" I asked. "Well...not exactly. There's been one or two times that I've simply HAD to have another woman in bed with me! So I've picked up hookers in a gay bar I occasionally go to and gotten a piece of the action from them." She was on the verge of tears, but I couldn't move. "I've tried to tell you this so many times, but I could never get the words out. Please don't hate me!" She sat down on the bed and began to cry. A corner of my mind was shouting at me, and it took me a second to realize what it was saying. When I did, I stopped thinking and let instinct take over. I sat down beside her on the bed and took her in my arms, wincing only a little as I felt our breasts brush against each other. "I could never hate you, Mellissa. There's no room in my heart for hate against you. There's too much love." She looked up at me, and I laughed softly, a woman's laugh. "Guess who's got the raccoon eyes now," I whispered as I bent my neck and kissed her softly. I felt our lipsticks mingle, and it awakened a fire in me that I'd never felt before. At last we separated. "I love you, too," she whispered back to me. "Thank you." "No, thank YOU," I returned. "I probably would've killed myself today if you hadn't been around." "Don't say that!" she said quickly. "Now that you've made it through the day, how do you feel?" "A lot better than I figured to," I answered truthfully. "I figured to be at home right about now, alone, scared to death, and totally miserable. I figured on losing you today." "Well, you didn't, so get those nasty thoughts out of your head." She looked at me for a long moment, then sighed. "So, do you want to sleep with me tonight, or are you going to be a hopeless straight?" I grinned. "Well, since straight for me right now means men, I think I'm willing to be a lesbian!" "Good!" Mellissa purred. "I hoped you'd say that!" "Anyway, good night," I continued, getting under the covers of her bed and snuggling down. "Why, you TEASE!" she shouted, and pounced on me. Thus ensued one of the funnest wrestling matches I've ever been involved in. Eventually, I lost, and ended up with her sitting straddled across my waist, with my arms pinned beneath her legs. "Gee," she wondered aloud, "what can I do to you now? You're totally helpless, Robin! How does it feel?" Once again that bolt of fire shot through me. I replied, "Like nothing I've ever felt before!" My voice sounded a bit anxious to me. "Let's see, I could do this," she said as she tweaked my left nipple, "or this," as she tweaked the right. "But I think I'd rather do this." She lowered herself down to my left nipple and began gently sucking on it, rolling it around between her teeth. I felt a volcano starting to build pressure in my belly as she continued. She shifted to the right nipple and the pressure increased. I felt her slide out of the straddle position and then felt a hand at my crotch. Her touch was feather-soft, and when she found my clitoris, I started to moan. She was an expert, I thought somewhere in the back of my mind as she continued. Soon I reached the point of no return, and with a scream I experienced my first female orgasm. I lay there panting awhile. Mellissa let me recover, then asked, "How do you feel?" "Like a wet noodle. DO IT AGAIN!" "Such a selfish little girl!" she laughed, then sobered. "I have to ask you this. How was it different?" "From what?" "From being a man." I thought about it a moment. "More prolonged, and more all- over. A male orgasm is pretty much centered in one area. I felt that in my hair!" She smiled again, then took a finger down to my now dripping pussy. She wiped it across and held it to my lips. "Taste," she said. I did so, and was reminded of strawberries. When I said this, she laughed. "Strawberries in a cherry patch? How bizarre!" I threw a pillow at her. "Robin?" she asked. "Do you want to lose your cherry tonight?" "I don't think I'm ready to take on a guy yet," I said. "I told you, I'm a lesbian!" "For now, at least," she said. "That isn't what I meant. We girls have lots more toys than men, you know. Let me show you." She went to her drawer again and started wrapping what looked like a garter belt around her hips. When she turned around, I saw what it was. Eight inches of phallic plastic now swung between her legs. At the base was a pair of lifelike balls. "This cost me a LOT of money!" she said. "It can hold actual semen and release it. Normally, though, it holds a water-like substance that tastes and feels like cum." She leered at me and said in a fake bass voice, "Come to papa!" I couldn't take my eyes off the thing! I was at once repulsed and attracted to it. My mind said, "You're a guy! Don't do this!" My body said, "Go for it, girl!" I flipped an imaginary coin, told my brain to take a flying leap, and let the body take over. I said, "Take me like I used to take you," and lay down on the bed on my back. She came to me and straddled me as she had earlier. Slowly she lowered her "penis" down toward me. I closed my eyes as I felt it brush my lips. With a soft sigh, I parted my lips and flicked my tongue out over the head, then waited until she was ready to lower it farther. She backed up just a centimeter and said, "Last chance to back out, Mac. After this, you're Robin for the evening." "Then do it, Mellissa!" She plunged into my eager mouth, and I swallowed it whole, instinctively relaxing my throat and letting it slide down. For an instant, I felt like I was going to gag, but I got myself under control and began fellating for all I was worth. I felt Mel's body start to quiver, and wondered how the thing was affecting her. She came, and at the same time, my mouth was filled with a semi-creamy substance that tasted at once both sweet and a bit salty. I involuntarily gulped, and felt the substance slide down my throat. Mellissa came out of her orgasm and eased the "penis" gently out of me. I sucked it like a lollipop as she withdrew, getting the last bits of the stuff out and swallowing them. "Wow!" she said. "Are you sure you've never done that before, Robin? I couldn't have done better, and I like to think I'm pretty good at it!" "No, I haven't," I said mock indignantly. "I told you I was a virgin. Do I look like the kind of girl that would lie about THAT?" She collapsed in laughter, rolling beside me on the bed. After she'd calmed down a bit, she turned to me and said, "So how was it for you?" "Does it always taste like that?" She caught what I meant immediately. "No, there's a lot of difference between people. Damn! I wish I'd done this to you when you were a guy!" "Why?" "I had that stuff made to be exactly like yours! You just found out what Mac tastes like." I grinned mischievously. "Again?" Suddenly, my brain fogged up and shrieked in pain. I followed suit. "Robin? What's wrong?" Mel asked anxiously. "I don't know...sudden pain in my head...feels like something's being forced in!" As quickly as it came, it was gone. I just started to speak to Mel when she screamed. "What's happening!!" she screamed. She spasmed a final time, then relaxed. "What was that?" she gasped. I don't know," I said. "I haven't felt anything like that in about two years-" I stopped myself. "No, I've never felt that before, but something inside me says I have, two years ago." I thought further. "It's weird. I feel like I have two sets of memories in my head. Everything like it was, up to two years ago. Then it splits, one side being Mac's memories..." I stopped and looked at her. "And one side Robin's." Rock Star Swap by Mellissa Lynn Chapter 5 A second later the phone rang. "I bet I know who THAT is," Mellissa said as she answered. "Hello? Rita? Yeah, me, too. Yes, Robin's here with me. Has Alexis called?...No? Why don't you call her and both of you come over? I'll make some coffee. Okay? All right, see ya in a bit." She hung up. When she turned to me, her face was grim. "Rita had the same thing happen to her." I was sifting through the new memories, or whatever they were. "Mel? What album did we put out two years ago?" "Girls Don't Do It," she answered promptly. "Do you have it here?" "Yeah. Why? "Just humor me for a minute, please, and get it. If you go through these new memories, you'll understand." She got the CD, and we looked at the cover. "That's NOT the cover we did for that!" she gasped. "I know," I said as I looked at the "new" cover. The old one had had all four of us standing at urinals as if we were relieving ourselves. Mel had been wearing a black minidress at the time, third in the line. As we watched, the cover continued changing. Alex had been the first in line. Now, Alexis was there, wearing an identical minidress to Mel's. Rudy had been second. The picture was split now, half Rudy, half Rita. "It's like watching an old Magna-Doodle," I murmured as the change continued left-to-right. Rudy was gone, and only Rita remained. The changes seemed to stop for a minute, then Mel screamed again. "What's wrong?" I asked. "Something just happened to me!" she shouted. "Look!" I looked. Her breasts had fit comfortably in the cups of the teddy she was wearing. Now they filled it to overflowing. I felt a chill as I quickly looked back at the picture. Sure enough, it had happened there, too. Now it was my turn. As I watched, the old familiar Mac on the cover disappeared, and Robin began to come into view. I felt a sudden tightening of the chest as well. The sudden pain helped ground me. "Calm down, Mel," I said as I looked at her. Her eyes were almost saucer-sized, and she was taking deep, heaving breaths. "It's just more of the same weirdness, coming around again." Gradually, the fear died out of her eyes. "I guess you're right," she said. "I wonder what else has changed." I had an idea, and went over to the nightstand. Pulling out the phone book, I looked myself up. I was listed the same as ever, and I sighed in relief. On impulse, I decided to call myself. On the third ring, my answering machine picked up. I started to smile, then froze as Robin's voice came out of the receiver. I handed the phone to Mel and got my purse. I was digging for my old wallet, but all I could find was a feminine pocketbook inside. I looked for my driver's license, and found Robin's picture almost completely covering mine up. I kept digging and found my old college ID. I watched it carefully for several minutes, but it showed no signs of changing. I showed my discovery to Mellissa, but she was too intently staring at a newspaper clipping. "It just appeared on my mirror," she said. "I...don't think you should read it." I disregarded her advice, and read the article, then sat down very hard on the floor, as if my legs had been shot out from under me. I kept focussing on the line that read, "MacDonald Carver, Alex Hauptmann, and Rudy Marsden, members of the popular band Flashback, were killed instantly when their charter plane crashed in the Appalachians late yesterday afternoon." The article went on to describe the search for our bodies (which were never found), and talked a bit about our career. It then went on to talk to Mellissa McGivens, the only surviving member of the band, who'd stayed behind visiting with friends. The article was dated about eight months before 'Girls Don't Do It' came out. As I was reading, I saw another article flicker into being. It began talking about Mel's new band, Lipstick Lust. I read on and found out the names of her new bandmembers. Alexis Hardesty, Rita Stein, and Robin Carver, MacDonald Carver's twin sister. There was a picture of the new album, 'Girls Don't Do It', in the article. I looked at where 'Flashback' had been written and saw 'Lipstick Lust' there instead. I tried to read on at that point, but the world began getting dark.... The next thing I knew, I was surrounded by female flesh. "It was all a dream," I murmured sleepily, then sat up. I heard my voice and knew I was still Robin. The female flesh was my bandmates, Alexis, Rita, and Mellissa. Rita's eyes were red as if from crying, but Alexis was rather serene looking. Mel's eyes were worried as she looked at me. "Are you back with us, Robin?" she asked me gently. "Could-could I have some water, please?" I whispered. Mel got it for me and I sat up shakily. My now-larger breasts jiggled as I did so. "Cute outfit, Robin," Alexis said teasingly. "This isn't the time, Alex," I snapped. "Well, excuse me! What the hell are the three of you stressing about, anyway?" I was about to get really angry when Mel grabbed my arm. "She doesn't remember," Mel said softly. "Rita was awake when the - wave, for lack of a better word - hit. Alexis wasn't. She remembers the last two years as a woman only." I looked at Alexis, once my partying buddy Alex. Veteran of a thousand schoolyard fights, football players together, baseball, basketball, nucleus of the band Flashback, best man at my wedding.... "OMIGOD!" I almost shrieked. "That happened two years ago?" "What is it?" Mel asked. "Don't you see, Mel? Rita? LINDA'S ALIVE! I couldn't have gotten her pregnant if I died first!" "Mac, stop." Mel's voice hit me like a bucket of cold water. "You read the obit. Was Linda's name in there anywhere?" "No." "Look through your new memories. You'll know what happened, since Robin was Mac's sister." I stopped a moment and thought, then crumpled on the bed. "I...divorced her? Why?" Mel's voice was grim. "Because of me. In the new reality, Linda was a bit different than the Linda we knew. She was, shall we say, a bit jealous of you. Any woman you were seeing was a threat to her. When I came into the picture via the band, she really went ballistic. You and I ended up becoming an item because she shut you completely out. I stopped you from killing yourself at one point, and that turned into our relationship. Linda tried to catch us, but we were too good at hiding. She finally, in a fit of spite, turned to another man. You caught them in the act and divorced her." I thought back to the Linda I'd known and loved. There was none of what Mel had described in MY Linda! Her and Mel had been best friends! Hell, Mel had been a bridesmaid when we finally tied the knot! How in the hell could all of these changes have happened? Alexis was talking to Rita in the corner. "WHAT is she talking about, Rita? How could Robin have gotten anyone pregnant? I mean, I know that her and Mel are an item, but that's hardly a secret. I-" "Hush, Alexis. We'll explain it all later. Why don't you go make us some drinks. A cup of Irish coffee would be great right about now." Mel looked at me, then over at Alexis and said, "Make that three." Alexis went, and Mel said urgently, "That one's a walking time bomb. At least you two have your current memories. She's going to think back beyond the last two years pretty soon, and then she's going to freak, I think." "Ohmigod," Rita said. "Robin...I'M REMEMBERING THE CRASH!" I thought back, and soon I was seeing it too. I saw us spiralling down as Rudy fought the controls frantically. He was an experienced pilot, but the lightning that had hit us had done too much damage. We spiralled out of control and watched the mountain get closer. At the last possible instant, there was a flash of bright light...and my next memory was of being in a black dress and a veil, walking next to my mother and Mellissa toward a trio of caskets. Something inside wanted to shout, "I'm not dead! I'm right here! Don't be sad anymore!" But I couldn't say anything, and the funeral drug on. A small, sad corner of my mind noted that Linda hadn't shown up for it. My next memory wasn't very pleasant, either. Linda had shown up the next day at the house, demanding her share of my stuff. My mother showed her the latest will I'd made, which left all my (Mac) worldly possessions to me (Robin). The picture I had of Linda as Robin was very different, and unflattering. I looked again and again for some sign of MY Linda, but there was none. There was only a shrew where there had been an angel. She shrieked awhile about contesting the will, but her lawyer (who had accompanied her) told her point-blank that she'd get nothing from it. She shouted at him for a few minutes, at which point he told her to find another attorney, dropped her papers on the floor, and left. I was looking at her at that very moment, and saw a Linda I never wanted to see again, a Linda with hate-filled eyes and a flushed face. I decided I'd toured enough of my new memories for the moment and opened my eyes. "The curse of eidetic memory," I said. "I have two conflicting histories warring in my head now." Just then Alexis returned. Mel looked at Rita and I, saw the light of agreement in us, and sat Alexis down on the bed. "Alexis, sweetie, I need you to do something. Think back to awhile before we started Lipstick Lust." I saw her eyes avert at the name. "What do you remember?" Let's see...I remember the day of the plane crash, when you and Robin came to visit Rita and me. We were sitting in the cockpit...I mean, in the kitchen, drinking iced tea and watching the mountains get closer.... This is weird! It's like I have two memories of that day." Suddenly her face twisted and she screamed, "AND ONE OF THEM IS ALEX HAUPTMANN'S! WE'RE GOING TO CRASH!" She passed out cold. "I'm glad I bought this thing of smelling salts," Mel said. "Twice in one night!" She stuck the bottle under Alexis' nose and it twitched. Alexis' eyes shot open and she started to scream again. Mel grabbed her and pulled her into a tight hug, burying her head in her, Mel's, shoulder. Alexis screamed for a few minutes, shudders wracking her whole body, but gradually she calmed down. She pulled a tear-streaked face away from Mel and asked, "What the hell is going on?" We spent the next half-hour explaining to her what had happened. There were more tears as she heard the story, but she was calm by the end of it. Try as she might, though, she couldn't retrieve any of Alex' memories for the last two years. "Just a flash of light, then sitting drinking tea with you girls when the news came on." "Well, ladies, there's nothing we can do about it right now. Why don't the two of you stay here the night and we'll see what we can do in the morning." It was agreed and Mel started to escort Rita and Alexis to the guest rooms. "That's not necessary, Mel," Rita said. "We've had rooms here for some time, don't you remember?" Mel searched her new memories and nodded. "This takes a bit of time to get used to, doesn't it?" she said, and we all agreed. After the other girls were off in their rooms, we lay in bed for awhile. Finally, I could stand no more and I snuggled up to Mellissa. "Care to go back to where we left off?" I asked. She turned to me with a smile. "Sweetheart, I'd love to, but I think I'm going to have to wait. I can't keep my eyes open any longer. Sleep with me?" Then she stopped herself. "Oh. Never mind. You ALWAYS sleep with me!" I grinned. "Yeah, but my memories say we don't get lots of sleep!" She leaned over and ran her hands affectionately through my hair. "Slut," she said teasingly. "Insatiable slut, that's all you are. Fine!" It was different this time. We went at it girl-to-girl instead of girl-to boy-in-a-girl's-body. My hands just instinctively went to where Mel would enjoy them the most, and Mel's hands showed a lot more familiarity with my new body than they had any right to. Our tongues went in the right places as well, and we both shivered through several climaxes. At Last Mel said, "No more!" and rolled away. She lay there panting for awhile, as I mentally tallied up. "Nine," I said languidly. "Nine what?" "Nine orgasms between us," I said. "Four for me, five for you." She groaned. "I suppose that means you want to make it even." "Come on, Mel, I may have the memories of losing it (to you, by the way), but I still am a virgin. Since it looks like this IS forever, at least let me know what I remember enjoying!" "All right, all right! That's what I get for falling for a younger woman! Insatiable!" "Younger woman?" I asked, puzzled. I was seven months older than her. She gently corrected me. "No dear, That's your old memories. Mac and Robin, in this time, are three years younger." I searched my memories. She was right, I was three years younger than her, which made me twenty-four again! "Wow," I said, "I'm hanging out with a crowd of old ladies!" "Watch it, whippersnapper, or you'll get SPANKED by this old lady!" Mel said as she turned around, once again wearing that toy. A memory whispered that its name was Otto. Another memory told me that Mel liked to use Otto doggy-style, so I got up on my hands and knees. She looked surprised for a moment, then got on her knees behind me. I felt Otto's tip brush my ass, then graze my pussy lips. I sighed as I felt it enter me. I'd expected some pain, but there was only a sense of fullness as Mellissa penetrated me fully and started moving gently back and forth. I felt that by-now familiar volcano in my belly building up for one last blow, and I think Mel sensed it too. She began to increase her movements, and soon I was shaking and shouting. At last, after what seemed an eternity of ecstasy, Otto was buried in me to the hilt. I let out a primal wordless scream and erupted. At the same time, I felt Otto pump fluid into me, and realized that Mel had come again. As my body settled down, I said to her teasingly, "Eleven." "You've got to be kidding," she said pleadingly. I relented. "Yes, I am, sleepyhead. Bring that evil Otto over here and I'll clean him off for the night." "Not alone, you won't!" We held Otto in our hands between us and licked it clean, synchronizing our licks so that our mouths met at the top in a gentle kiss. Afterwards, Mel said, "It's your turn," and I laid down. She spooned herself around me, and I closed my eyes. Rock Star Swap by Mellissa Lynn Chapter 6 "Wake up, sleepyhead!" Mel said, and I was rudely stripped of my warm covers. I shivered. "You always were a bit cold-blooded in the morning. Come on, we have guests, remember?" Groggily I said, "You go play hostess. I'm too tired." "Get UP!" With that, Mel went into the bathroom, returning with a bucket. "There's ice water in here, Robin. Would you like to wear it? We have things to do today, so get up now!" "Some people are so mean!" I said as I stood up and yawned. "Why are you so mean to me, Mel? I'm always good to you!" I gave her a little-girl pout. Suddenly I realized what I was doing. "It's okay, Robin," Mel said. "I found myself doing new stuff this morning, too. We'll all have to get used to it." "What time is it?" "About eight-thirty." "My aerobics show is on!" I grabbed the remote control and turned on the TV. I started following the warmup exercises until I caught Mel's baffled expression. "What?" I asked. "Robin...you've never done aerobics before, let alone regularly." "That's the old memories. Something in me says I should be doing this right now. After this, we go to breakfast, then we'll all go over to the studio and practice until lunch, then go out and maybe catch a movie or something until about four, when we go over to the pool. Today's Thursday, right?" "Uh...yeah." "The twelfth?" "Uh-huh." "Tonight, around eight, we have an interview to tape for the Westerwood people to run on the radio." Mel looked at me, shaking her head. "Where did all this organization come from?" she asked. "I'm loving it, but this isn't the Mac I used to know!" "No, it's the Robin who's standing in front of you," I said. "Must be part of the change. I'm not having any of the difficulties I was yesterday about this; in fact, I'm enjoying life now." A knock on the door interrupted us. "Who is it?" Mel called. "Rita." "Come on in." Rita entered in a silk robe and said, "Do I look any different than I did yesterday?" We both studied her and noticed that she had a few tiny differences, mainly in her face. Her mouth was just a tad larger, her nose a bit more upturned, her eyes just a hair wider. The overall effect was to make her even prettier, and we both told her so. "What are you doing?" she asked me. "Aerobics," I said in a slightly strained voice as I bent over. "Wanna join me?" "No, thanks. I'm just fine the way I am." "Are you?" Mel asked. After a moment, Rita said, "Yeah, I really am. The new memories changed everything. It's almost as if Rudy was a dream now. Maybe it had to do with sleeping or something, but those memories aren't as sharp as they were. I think I'm actually becoming the Rita from my memories. I found myself doing stuff this morning on instinct, things I've never done before. It's a bizarre feeling." Just then Alexis came in, fully dressed...if it could be called that. She was wearing a white halter top with no midriff, and very low cut, showing off quite a lot of her boobs. The jean shorts were almost bikini bottoms, and looked painted on. Her legs were obviously freshly shaven and were quite good-looking. I realized I was staring and quickly went back to my exercises. "Hi, girls!" she said. "Ready to go practice?" "How can you be so perky so early?" Mel asked. "You young girls today, I swear!" She grinned and mimed carrying a cane around, holding her back. "Why, in my day...." Well, we all finished our morning routines, however unfamiliar they might be to us, and headed out to the studio. Davey, the daytime guard, greeted us. "'Morning, ladies!" he exclaimed. "The album almost ready?" Dave, my new memories said, was slightly mentally handicapped. He had the mentality of about a seven year old. He was good at his job, though, and we all treated him like a little brother. "Not yet, Davey," Mel said, "But real soon now. Hey, I brought you a treat, big boy. Have you been good? Would Mrs. Janecek tell me you've been good?" Mrs. Janecek was Davey's guardian. "I've been real good, Mel," he said excitedly. "Promise! What's my treat?" Mel smiled and pulled a candy bar out of her purse. "Here," she said. "Now don't go making a mess with it like the last time!" She kissed him lightly on the cheek and we went up to the studio. Even the studio had had some changes wrought upon it. A sign reading "Lipstick Lust" was on the door, with "Enter by invitation only!" underneath it. We stepped inside and found the furniture the way it was and everything else the same...except that it was all in a highly feminine decor. The walls were a pastel pink color, there was a private restroom off to one side, our little tape footlocker had become an oak cabinet. Curtains fluttered on the window that had previously never been there. Once again my new memories kicked in, telling me that we had paid for the changes and were the permanent residents of this studio. I idly followed the train of thought and found out that as an entity, Lipstick Lust was pulling in almost four times as much money as Flashback had. We were rich! For some reason, Lipstick Lust was much more popular than Flashback had been, even though we did the same kind of music. I thought further and realized that we often covered Flashback tunes in concert. I felt a pang of sadness go through me at the thought and dropped the subject. Even our instruments had changed, we found, as we commenced the session. We still played the same instruments, but they weren't the SAME instruments except mine. I (Mac) had left it to me (Robin), apparently. Rita's bass guitar was a shocking neon pink, Alexis' guitar was tie-dyed, and Mel's drum kit had Lipstick Lust's logo where Flashback's had been. We ran through a set of oldies from a handwriiten setlist on mel's drum kit, then started our new stuff. It appeared that Swamp Pup, Wanderlust, and Venus Music had survived whatever had happened, but there were some new ones that were pretty good also. It appeared that Lipstick Lust shared the lead vocal duties equally, each of us having at least two songs to do. We finished with Venus Music, my soprano giving it a kick it hadn't ever had previously, then took a break. "Well, ladies, I think we may have put this one in the can," Mel said. "all we need now is an album title." "There's only one that's appropriate, isn't there?" I asked. "`The Big Change'" We sat there and joked awhile, becoming more and more comfortable in our new identities, until suddenly I realized that I couldn't remember Linda anymore, not from Mac's point of view. This started to worry me, but then the thought slipped away, and I couldn't remember why I was suddenly thinking of my late brother's ex-wife. Suddenly Alexis jumped and exclaimed, "OW!" She stood up and began looking around on where she'd been sitting. "Something just bit me!" She showed us the red mark on her arm. "It almost felt like I was stuck with something!" "It's already going away." I said. "Relax, girl! There's nothing in here that's gonna bite us!" She grinned ruefully and rubbed her arm, sitting back down. ***** Well, The Big Change ended up being our biggest album so far, with the first single, Venus Music backed with Wanderlust, staying in the top 10 for alomost four months. We opened a tour the January after we finished the album, and it was apparent that this was the one that would make us superstars. Rita met a guy during the tour, and was married by the end of it, fifteen months later. Alexis played the field the whole time, never with the same man more than a month at a time. Mel and I started thinking seriously about adopting a child, preferably a boy. We put in the paperwork, and got a cute little two-month-old. We named him MacDonald Carver McGivens. Rock Star Swap By Mellissa Lynn Epilogue "Well, that finishes that!" the man in the leather chair said to himself, then leaned forward and picked up the phone. "This is Meph. Mr. S., please." A moment later a rich, deep, voice filled the receiver. "What's up, Meph?" it asked. "The Hauptmann contract is complete, sir. The group has been shifted to the new reality and their new bodies, as requested, with no ill effects on the continuum. And our little surprise translated with them, fully intact." "Good news! I don't remember what the surprise was in this package, though." "We left the trigger still active, sir. Whenever anyone sings the song Venus Music three times, no matter how far apart or any other songs they sing in between, their bodies will change into one of the four prototypes we used in the initial change. Additionally, they will have no scruples left, and no inhibitions. Essentially, they'll be ripe for the picking." "Very good! And quite innovative. There can be no doubt what caused this one, then! A truly unique and inspired vision of Hell. There'll be a bonus in your next check, Supervisor Mephistopheles!" "Thank you, Mr Satan!" the demon replied, hanging up the phone and leaning back, curling his tail under him and smiling.
