MRS. FISHER'S SYSTEM by Jeff Spain Copyright 1997 by Jeff Spain CHAPTER ONE Jezanna Martine shook her dark hair and checked her scorecard. Her dogs had done quite well at the show. Since becoming a dog trainer she was finally moving out of the shadow of her old trainer and mentor. She had departed Johnson Academy in a dispute with Mrs. Johnson and wanted to make her reputation fast. But with the few contracts she had acquired, it was going too slow for her taste. While she was musing which bills to juggle to pay the rent next month, Mrs. Fisher came over to her. Debbie Fisher was the sensation of this year, with her almost superintelligent dogs. Everyone wanted to know how Fisher had managed to imbue them with their increased training levels, but she was keeping it a secret. Jezanna noticed Mrs. Fisher admiring her dogs. "You've done quite well with these. How many new clients have you acquired at the show." "None, actually. I think Ms Johnson is spiking my reputation. These go back to their owners today, and then I'm out of work for a while." "How would you like to come work for me? Temporarily, of course. I wouldn't dream of interfering with your business." Jezanna lit up like a Christmas tree. "I'd love to" she said, disguising her excitement."I must warn you, my methods require the trainers to live on the premises, to work with the dogs 24 hours a day." Jezanna smiled. "I can go home, pack, and be at your place tonight." "Fine then. Here's a card with my address. I'll expect you at 9 PM." Jezanna smiled. This was her chance. She would finally make her mark in the world of dog training. CHAPTER TWO Mrs. Fisher and Jezanna sat in the living room. Debbie was going over plans with her while they drank cappacino. "You see, I'm ready to go on to the next phase of my training program. My dogs are intelligent, but it's going to take a new step to take them to the next level. You, my dear, will be very important in that program." Jezanna nodded. She was enjoying the warmth of the cocker spaniels at her feet. She was normally cold natured anyway. Mrs. Fisher certainly kept the house cozy. "Later on, we'll go to the basement and I can demonstrate the training method I use." Jezanna felt her eyelids getting heavier. "I think that seems awful late to start, don't you?" She drank the rest of her drink and set the glass on a coaster. She was so warm. She lay back on the couch and apologized." I hope you'll excuse me, I'm very tired." She closed her eyes , just for a second she thought. Before she knew it, she had fallen asleep. Mrs. Fisher walked over to the sleeping Jezanna and began to undress her. Jezanna would be the perfect person to help her with the next step of her program. CHAPTER THREE
