At first it was a kinky "walk and the wild side" but over time I came to really have feelings for the person, and that became more important than the intimacy we had. The movie "Soldier's Girl" was very moving and helped me realize that I really wanted to LOVE a transgender woman. I have had several truly wonderful loving relationships, and have come to believe that if I knew what I know now when I was young, I would have married a transgender woman. This series is a fantasy in which I imagine what that life might have been like. It is set in the late 1960's, when I was a teen. –Bill (oral_guy_2000@yahoo.com) Bill and Ann Part 28 – Conclusion Over the next two months we saw our futures start to take shape. Ann and I were both provisionally accepted into the co-op program at the Chicago university. We both got interview letters from several of the co-op companies that we had applied to. As a result we each went to our respective interviews and received offers from all the companies where we interviewed. We had both applied for several scholarships, just in case we weren't accepted in the co-op program. We each received scholarships and were happy to find that we could still receive the them, even in the co-op program. We each chose the job offer we liked best and were glad we could be stay in the area. Helen, Ann and I talked about school arrangements. Helen said that if we wanted to get married that we were both welcomed to live with her, so we could save our money for a place of our own. That appealed to both of us, and I decided that I would ask Ann formally soon. She was already wearing my ring as a sign of our commitment to each other, but I wanted to replace it with a real engagement ring and set a date. We were near the end of our junior year, and I decided to pop the question during summer break. On the weekend Ann and I were taking a walk, and found ourselves walking in the neighborhood of the local college. As soon as I saw one of the fraternity houses I realized that we were in the wrong neighborhood. Just being here could remind Ann of the abuse she had suffered here [see Part 25]. I was about to suggest a different route when Ann became alarmed and whispered, "That's him!" "Who?" I asked. "Brad," she said pointing at a group of guys on the sidewalk across the street, "The bastard who raped me!" "Let's get out of here," I said, and picked up the pace. Unfortunately Brad and his friends recognized us and began to cross the street toward us. He called out, "Hey faggot – I see you are with your faggot boyfriend – and you're back for more!" Ann began to cry and I took her arm and hurried her along. We rounded a corner and I looked for something I could use for defense. We had to step off into the street because the sidewalk before us was being repaired. The men working there left their tools while they went on break and I saw a wrecking bar that was several feet long. I picked it up and held it behind my back as I turned to face Brad and his two thugs. "We got something for you, faggots," he said in a menacing voice. Using surprise to my advantage I stepped toward him and swung the wrecking bar with all my might, striking him squarely in the balls. Brad howled in pain and his thugs pulled back. Turning to them, I yelled, "Whose next!?" They turned and ran away, leaving Brad to me. Even though he was much bigger than I was, I had surprised him and he was doubled over in pain. I grabbed the back of his hair and pulled him forward while kicking his feet our from under him. He went down with a scream. I stayed with him and held his head by his hair. I pulled his head back and slammed his face into the sidewalk, saying, "You better keep your distance, because if I ever see you again I'll cut your balls off and shove them down your throat!" I let go of him, leaving him bleeding and in pain. I took my place with Ann and hurried out of the neighborhood. "You saved me," said Ann, "My hero!" "After he molested you I felt like going after him, but didn't," I said, "But sure wasn't going to let him do it again!" "You sure gave him something to remember," said Ann, "He must have thought you were absolutely crazy!" "Sometimes it's not a bad thing if people think you're crazy," I said, "They won't mess with you that way. But just to be safe, let's stay out of that neighborhood." Ann quickly agreed, and we hurried home. Ann couldn't wait to tell her mother what a hero I was – I wished she hadn't because I didn't want to cause Helen any needless worry. We stayed clear of the college neighborhood, but on one Saturday we were in McDonalds for lunch. We were nowhere near the college but Ann nudged me and pointed out Brad, who was coming in the door. Our eyes locked and I started to walk toward him, but he quickly turned and left. "I guess it pays to be crazy." I said. "I'm glad you're MY crazy man!" Ann said, smiling. We had lunch in peace and returned home. Over the summer I proposed to Ann once again and she agreed to marry me, as I expected. I had saved up some money and we went to a jewelry store and bought Ann a ring that really made her day. We got married shortly after graduation and went off to the university together, graduating as engineers and continuing our careers with our co-op companies. We saved our money and bought a home, living a wonderful life together. My family never knew that Ann was transgendered, and there was no reason to tell them. To them Ann was simply my pretty high school sweetheart. We have both been wonderful blessings to each other!
