Date: Thu, 22 Apr 2021 21:23:35 -0400 From: Just Forfun Subject: New Reality 9 This is my first story, so your input is extremely welcome. Email me at jst4fun2nyt@gmail.com and tell me what you like, what you don't like, and even where I mess up continuity or details. My focus is the story, not the sex. There will be sex, m/m and m/f, and some m/m/m/f but it will be tame compared to some stories. The story is fiction, and any similarities to people, living or dead, is purely coincidence. STDs and Corona don't exist in my fantasy world, so they don't use protection. You should use protection, always!!! Many of my characters are underage, and they will be having consensual sex, both with other youth, and what some consider adults. If that offends you, find another story. If reading this is illegal where you live, don't break the law! I'd like to find an editor, or a Beta reader at least. If you're up for that, contact me. I'm also open to suggestions on where you'd like to see things go, although I'm already 30 chapters ahead of where you are now. Don't forget to DONATE to NIFTY so you can continue to hate me for any cliffhangers. https://donate.nifty.org/ ************************************************************************************** Jack saw the look of shock on my face so he said "OH, no, not like that. I mean I want to restart, I'm sorry." "You're young, you've got another 20 to 40 years before you need to. What's wrong?" "I've run everything alone since I lost Susan. 80 years of being without my mate and without my family. Granddad's tried to include me, but being half way around the world, well...I've been alone. This week with you and Scott, and now your pups, and everyone, I don't want to go back to it. Take my assets, let me change my will and then have an accident on the way back to London. I'll reset and your pups will have a 20-year-old cousin that can take them fishing and swimming and just enjoy life. At least until they grow up, then you can put me somewhere to help the pack." "This is sudden. It'll take me months to sort out your businesses." "I can help, from here. As long as I don't show my face to humans in London for a decade or so, trust me, you'll get the hang of it." "OK Jack, I approve. Talk to Mike and get him what he needs to make your will, then we'll figure out an accident. As to reverse aging, that's totally your choice. The pups can have fun with you at 45 the same as they can at 25." "I know, but I want to be that silly young guy I used to be, just one more time." His use of 'just one more time' concerned me but I knew we were good until my boys were grown. He wanted to help raise them, he wanted the kids he never got. "I've got to get back upstairs Jack, are you OK?" "I'm good, thanks Greg. I think I'll be happy now, thanks." I headed back up and found Billy. "Have Mike and David here at 10am. What else is set for tomorrow?" "I'll have to go through the list when I get back, Frederick and I are about to go. You're moving so fast I've lost track, but I'll catch up, don't worry." "Billy? Are you OK with Brandon sleeping with us?" "Yeah Greg, he's your son now. I guess we'll have to wear underwear huh?" "Let's let him determine that, just follow our lead." "OK, Frederick's taking me to Verizon in the Ram. If you need anything give me a call." I tried to think of things we might need but I could call him so I watched him go through to the garage and I headed to our room. 'Scott, our room please' I thought and in seconds I got back 'already there'. I walked in and Brandon was sitting looking at Charlie. "Where's your clothes buddy?" "Mr. Frederick brought may bag in here while I was sleeping. It's in the closet Dad, I'll get it." I loved hearing him say Dad. He came back carrying a small bag that couldn't hold more than two changes of clothes. I opened it and poured it onto the bed and sorted through them. "Do these things fit you good?" "They're kinda tight." "OK, do you like shorts or pants?" "Both depends on what I'm doin." "What kind of underwear do ya like?" He dropped his pants showing us his white briefs and said "Mom always got me these but I like the ones with legs. These kinda make my wiener hurt sometimes when it gets stiff, they're too tight. Mom never made me wear clothes at home." I called Billy and gave him sizes and told him to buy a complete wardrobe, as many as he thought we'd need. Boxer briefs, socks, tennis shoes, jeans, shorts, shirts, the whole thing. "And I want a kids plan phone for him too." We sat and I learned about his schooling up to this point. His mother was not well educated but had tried, and his dad wouldn't teach him. He would turn 5 in July and according to Scott he was about right physically, looking like a typical 11 year old, but he seemed a bit immature, and not as well educated as Scott wanted. Billy was only a year older and his education was incredible. I texted Billy to look into a tutor to try to catch him up. We learned that he loved to swim and hoped we could swim in the lake. He missed his teddy bear so I sent another text, poor Billy. "We used to swim in the lake all the time Greg, I don't see why not. Let's all go down to the dock a while?" "Brandon doesn't have a suit." Scott gave me that 'duh' look and I realized why, so we headed out to the kitchen to see who wanted to join us. It ended up being just Jack, Scott, Brandon, and me. Tommy was showing Edward around, Mary was staying to watch the pups, Sarah was settling their things into the house, Leonard was hanging drywall, Frederick and Billy were out shopping. We piled our clothes on the dock and set the towels on the picnic table, then I dove in and swam out about 20 feet. "OK buddy, jump in and swim to me." He dove in like a pro and in seconds was hanging around my neck. Scott jumped in and went the other direction and was about 100 feet from me and when he called to Brandon who turned and raced to him. Jack had stood on the dock to watch from above and when it was obvious the boy knew how to swim he dove in and came up behind me, pulling me under. We spent the next hour chasing each other around the lake playing tag or keep away with the ball we'd brought. Brandon didn't want to get out but I worried he might be getting tired. Jack finally won his agreement with a promise of another swim tomorrow. We were drying off and Brandon pointed at my penis. "Yours looks different Dad?" I looked down, then at everyone else and saw what he meant "My parents had the foreskin cut off when I was a baby. Lots of people do it, you just haven't seen one like it." That answered, he started running for the house, bare butt and all. I started to call for him but realized we had no one at the house that would mind. I suppose I had to adjust my ideas of what was 'normal' once again. Thinking about how surprised he had been, I turned to Scott "Is circumcision not common with vampires?" Jack answered "I'm told that they tried it centuries ago and realized it won't work. Vampire babies heal so fast the foreskin grows back so you'll never see one on a born vampire." As we walked to the house, I thought about it and realized he was right, I was the only one in my pack. We walked into the kitchen to hear Brandon talking a mile a minute telling Billy all about the dock and swimming in the lake. Billy told him he'd take him fishing later if it was OK with me. I said it sounded like a good idea and Jack said he'd like to go, so their afternoon was set. We sat to have our late lunch and Billy handed us our new phones along with one for Brandon. I asked him if he had one before and he hadn't, so I spent some time showing him how to use it and how to call me and Scott and Billy. Brandon's new clothes were already in our room and after he tried them on, I asked Sarah to wash them and put them away. Then I sat and explained to him that we had a lot of visitors during the day and he'd have to wear shorts around the house. He wasn't thrilled but he agreed. When they started getting things together to go fishing, I asked about sunscreen and again got the 'duh' look from Scott so I said "No sunburn either huh?". They headed for the lake and Scott wanted to get his tablet setup so he headed to the office. I went downstairs to see how Leonard was coming along. I was fortunate enough to catch him waiting for the plaster to dry between coats so we talked a bit. "What's your gut tell you my best option is?" "Honestly Greg, last week my answer would have been different, but you said you don't want anyone to move out of the house. I've heard that Mary said she'd be fine in the basement and you said no, but you need to realize that many of us that have worked as servants over the centuries are used to living in tiny rooms, smaller than your closet sometimes. It's a life we've chosen, you're not disrespecting us by having smaller rooms. We don't live in them, we sleep in them, we live in the house. And as you've seen lately, evenings we prefer to hang with the pack, not alone so you don't need spaces for us to get away from each other." "Also, your family is growing, quickly. You need a room for that new boy, and you'll need two more within a year. You either need to accept that some of us will move to houses on the estate, or we need an addition equal to the house. The architect will have his ideas but we could rework your office and library spaces into bedrooms and put a new office wing off the garage, or put the office in the garage and build a new one. You're still firm that you want to run things from here? An office downtown would solve some of this." "No, I don't want to be gone all day every day. I need an office here. Part of the problem is time, another issue is if you're doing major work on the house, can we live in it during the work?" "I've thought about that. I'd like to have someone come over while the architect is here and show you some things. I think we can have your 3 houses up and ready in 2-3 weeks. As far as living in it, that depends on how major we go and how much you can tolerate." "We need to do four Len, the staff is going to grow and having Frederick living with Edward and Sarah is OK for the short term but we just need more space. And for this house, if we're going to end up with some maze of additions... well, let's just wait and see what the experts come up with. I'll be in my office if you need anything. See you at dinner?" "If it's alright with you, we'd like to take Edward, Sarah and Frederick to dinner in town? It's easier to get to know each other in small groups, unless you want them here?" "Ask again later, both are good ideas. Small group or pack time. Talk to me after you do the next layer of plaster?" And I headed to the office to find Scott with 2 tablets installing apps in both. My phone rang. "Hey buddy, I thought you were fishing?" "I caught a fish!! Billy said Aunt Mary will cook it for us!" "Awesome, catch some more. One won't feed everyone." "I know that, don't be silly Daddy. Jack says we need a bunch more so I gotta go OK?" "OK buddy, have fun." I looked at Scott who was holding back a laugh. He showed me he had tied my tablet to his so I could see what he was doing with our investments. He spent a few hours talking about his ideas for stocks and this and that and honestly I never had interest in the stock market and I was lost. Finally, I told him that and he smiled and said that he loved it because the numbers never argued when he told them what to do. Brandon came running in saying "Billy helped me clean the fishes and Aunt Mary's cooking them. She told me I should shower, can one of you help me?" As we headed to our bedroom Leonard asked me again and I said they should go out and enjoy the evening. We found the pups sound asleep so we headed in and showered. We went out and enjoyed fresh caught bluegill and bass with fries and cole slaw. The table seemed almost empty, even though there were 6 of us eating. Jack offered to help Mary clean up, so Billy grabbed Brandon and gave him a piggy back ride to the family room and by the time we'd settled on a movie, Jack and Mary joined us. We watched "Toy Story" with Brandon in my lap, Scott on one side and Billy on the other. Brandon was asleep when the movie was done so Scott stood and picked him off my lap and we headed to bed. We took his shorts and shirt off and laid him in the middle of our bed, then undressed ourselves and with Billy and Scott on one side and me on the other we drifted off to sleep by 10. We shared in changing and feeding the pups at midnight and were back to sleep by 1. Monday morning we woke at 6, bathed Charlie and Davie, fed them and headed out to breakfast leaving Brandon still passed out. We got our plates and sat with Billy. Mary and Sarah sat at the counter while Edward, Tommy and Leonard sat with us. Frederick had to make room for us so he went to get dressed, I'd asked him to play butler today. I looked around and asked "Where's Jack?" "Your Dad called, they're flying back so Jack said he'd take the Suburban and go get them. He wanted to talk to James. They should be here around 9." "You're doing the floors today?" "Yes Sir, they won't be ready until tomorrow." "We're in a real pinch here, do we have tents?" I joked. "Babe, this house is nice but either you need to accept that we can't have everyone here or we need to move." "Leonard said the same thing yesterday. Let's go shower and get dressed, the architect will be here soon. If he can't work things out, we'll look at options hon." I decided today was a day for looking the part so we put on our suits and headed to the office. I sat at my desk with Scott and Billy behind me. Leonard joined us and was in nice jeans and a polo shirt, I mentioned to Billy that we needed to get him a suit or two. I had just finished saying that when Frederick knocked, and introduced Oliver King, an architect Mike had recommended and Allison Walker with Walker Industries, the person Leonard had wanted us to meet. After introductions were made, Oliver asked if we could tour the house so he knew what we were working with. We started downstairs so we could have that done before the work on the floors started. Oliver was paying close attention to the foundation and was asking Leonard about the supporting beams and floor joist for the main floor above our heads. When we got to the main floor he paid close attention to the exterior walls and again was making notes on the supports for the second floor. On the second floor he pulled out an instrument and held it to several walls and took some readings. Allison was making notes on the way things were laid out and asking if the room sizes were too big or small, what we liked and disliked about the bathrooms and about finishes such as flooring, baseboards and window and door trim. When we went back down, I suggested we meet in the library so we could all sit around the conference table. Mary stepped in with coffee, tea, and soft drinks. Oliver asked us to ignore what we had, and describe what we wanted, and a budget. I said I pictured a main floor master with nursery, bath and walk in closets. Bedrooms for our boys that have smaller walk in closets and attached baths. I need an office, library big enough for the boys to study and for us to have meetings. We needed bedrooms for close staff, when he asked how many, we did a head count and said ten would be a minimum. A formal living room for entertaining, a family room to relax, a large kitchen with room for 12 to eat family meals and a dining room for more formal meals with room for up to 24. "And garage space? Living and cooking spaces for your staff? Baths for their rooms?" "The staff that lives in the house take their meals with us, hence the large eating areas. Yes, baths for each of their rooms if it can be done but they've all said they can share. We currently have space for 3 vehicles, we're moving the classics to storage to use that space, that will give us 4 usable spaces, 7 if we crowd them in like the classics are." "You didn't give a budget." "There is none, make it happen." "OK, Leonard mentioned other houses?" "We are removing 4 houses that are beyond repair. If you can do what we need here, I want to put up 3 or 4 in their place for family from out of the area. If you can't provide what we need, these will be for staff and visitors will have to be put in other accommodations. I very much prefer to have those I love close by, under my protection." "Time line?" "We needed it all done yesterday." There was a knock and James walked in. "I'm very sorry to interrupt but can I speak to Greg and Scott for a moment?" "Actually Greg, I have some ideas I'd like to talk with Allison and I think we can give you some rough sketches in 15 minutes or so." "Then if you'll excuse us, we'll be back shortly. Leonard knows what we need and should be able to answer anything we've missed. We'll bring back more drinks." and I stood and headed for the office with Scott and Billy following. Dad was standing by one of the chairs near the sofa so I walked over and sat there with Scott. "Greg I don't want you to feel awkward about this, this is how things are, so please just accept it OK? You're new to our world and I bet you've not found the traditions book." "George found it but I haven't had a chance to read it." "Well, I know you like things direct so I'll just cut to it. You've become an Alpha, and I honestly expected it, but my pack has dwindled since I lost Joseph, and like I told you on the phone, it's just Donna, Matt, Liz and Kevin now. I guess it's just Donna and Kevin huh? Anyway, if you dig through that book, I have the right to demand a fight to the death over all this but that's not going to happen, so relax. My other option is to go away and try to rebuild. I prefer the final option, so I spoke to Kevin. He's happy on his own so I've released him meaning my pack is now me and your Mom. Would you allow us to be in your pack?" "I'd love to Dad but how will that affect things between us? You've run a pack, will you be comfortable with me in control?" "We bought the house in West Palm, we will only be here for holidays so the saying 'out of sight out of mind' fits. Our role in your pack will be whatever you want it to be, but I would suggest we have a very minimal role for 50 years or so and just play the grandparents. I've brought our stock portfolio and the papers are signed, all you have to do is accept" and he lowered his head and offered me a stack of paperwork. "The terms are not acceptable." his head snapped up to look at me "You need to be here for weddings and holidays and more often because our sons need their grandparents." I smiled as I took the papers and handed them to Billy then hugged my Dad. "Right now, I need my Dad's advice, please sit." and as he sat, I explained the housing issues and gave him an overview of the meeting we were having. He asked us both if we were really attached to this house or if we were focused on it because it was what we had. Scott said he liked it because he grew up coming here a lot and I said it had a special place due to all the changes we'd gone through while living in it. We talked about options and he reminded us there was a long list of real estate we should review before we get too deep here. I looked at Scott and it only took us a second to swap thoughts. "We want to base here Dad, if it can be done. There are over two thousand acres here, we won't get this much privacy this close to a major city anywhere else. The land allows the pack to hunt. We need that." "Then make it what you need. Don't be attached to buildings boys, they rot over the years. If you have to level the thing and start over, do it. If you do that, build it twice as big as you think you'll need, it will still be too small. And with that advice, if I may, I'm going to leave you to deal with your business while I go meet my newest grandson, Jack says he likes to fish. Do you mind if I take him?" "You and Jack entertain him all day Dad, enjoy yourself." Dad headed to find Jack and we headed back to the library to find drawings covering the table and a laptop with dozens of browser tabs waiting for us. Oliver, Allison and Len explained this house wasn't a traditional framed house, but a steel structure with stone as a skin. The interior could be totally gutted and designed however we wanted. They had plans for the first floor with an entrance foyer that led to dual stairs, a dining room to the right and a library to the left. Under the open walkway between the stairs we'd go into a formal living area with a large kitchen with two islands with eating areas to the right and a family room beyond that. To the left of the living room was a master suite with a study/nursery, large bath with tub and shower, and two walk-in closets. Upstairs there were six bedrooms, each with a smaller walk-in closet and bath. Also, a study area above the library with a spiral stair down. "The current 3 car garage is at an angle to the house, and we plan to put an identical one facing it with a covered area between them. Above this, we have eight bedrooms with baths and a small living area. We'll build a matching wing on the other side with a large study with a fireplace and wet bar to entertain business associates, beyond this is your business library with a conference table for 12 and beyond this are two offices, one is a working office with space for Billy and Scott, and the second with your current executive desk, a seating area, and a view of the lake, for you to present the image you need. This office wing will have separate entrances from the drive and the rear deck. This hall lets you bring people from the house directly to your office, Billy's office, the library, or the study." "Stairs on the near ends of the wings will give access as needed. Above the office wing we can put extra offices or bedrooms, or whatever you come up with. Under it, we'll put a larger exercise room and a shower room with lockers for the exercise room and maybe a pool out back as well as a safe room and vault directly below your office with a spiral stair. We'll redesign the current basement to have a theater for 30, a games room and a wine cellar. Leonard said you swim in the lake but a pool is more private and appropriate for entertaining." "Sounds great, also sounds like months, if not years, of construction." "Actually that's where I come in. Walker Industries specializes in modular construction. While you're excavating and pouring the foundations and floors, we'll be building the rooms at our plant. We're just finishing a major project and will have crews free to tackle yours as soon as you agree. Once they're done, we can put them in place and have the wings erected in three to four weeks. Then it's just a matter of furnishing." "That's the wings, what about the main house?" "I've got contractors that can gut the main house and have it finished in the same time frame. We'll have the exterior finished to match the main house. We can finish the drive near the house with stone to match. We'll heat the sidewalks, parking area, and driveway down to that tree line so you won't have snow piled from a plow." "While you're at it, Leonard will give you plans for a 4 bedroom, a 3 bedroom and two 2 bedroom houses. We'll place them on the old sites. Can you have the sites ready Len?" "Yes Sir, our equipment is too small for something this size but I think we rent because afterwards we won't have a need for it." "Buy it Len, we can always sell. I think we might be doing more on this scale soon enough." "Yes Sir." "Ok, that still leaves, what do we do for four to six weeks?" "Honeymoon, travel for business, both?" "Okay, get this moving and we'll talk more. Billy and Leonard are your contacts, they'll bring Scott or me in when needed. I guess this means no flooring downstairs huh? We have a wedding here next Sunday, can we still do that?" "If you're gone Monday so we can have movers to empty the house, yes." "Billy, pass the word, everyone for lunch in the dining room. Dad and Jack have Brandon out fishing, they'll be absent. Once you've done that, we're meeting with Mike and David in the office. And bring me a Coke Zero when you come, please." Billy headed off to spread the word while Scott and I went to wait for Mike, they were early and we actually ran into them in the entrance. I filled them in on the house plans and told them of the lunch meeting. When Billy came in, he brought drinks for Mike and David, then stood with his tablet. "Dad and Mom are now in the pack, he gave me this" as Billy handed them the paperwork. "We also have servants from George. You met Frederick, who has joined the pack. You'll meet Sarah and Edward at lunch. They're employees for now." "All these assets from pack members have me concerned with accounting. It would be a nightmare to try to keep everyone's assets separate and it will be a nightmare to figure what they're due if someone leaves the pack, but I think I have a solution. I want a valuation of all our assets, real estate, cash, stocks, everything. Also, value everyone's assets separately at the time of surrender, and as a percentage of the entire pack's holdings. Then, if someone leaves us in say 40 years, they're entitled to that same percentage of the entire thing. That way we all grow at the same rate. Your assets are included in this, do you feel this is fair?" "It's actually something I was going to suggest this morning, Greg. May I share this with the pack? It will be good for morale." I nodded and he continued "We can assess the real estate every six months, and the stocks and cash can be accounted in the computer at any second. I'm assuming you want this done every time you increase the pack? Or will you make a core pack and a separate folder for later entries?" "Just one for now, but the separate folders is a good idea if everyone we deal with joins us. How big can a pack be?" "Just like a business, you can set things up however you want. George is what's called a Super Alpha, and has Alphas running packs under him." "I can't imagine. Oh, speaking of George, you had your guests yesterday so we didn't bother you but we have another son. He's fishing with Jack and Dad." "Billy emailed me." I looked over my shoulder and he just smiled. "Of course he did. Did Jack talk to you?" "He did, I phoned his attorney before I left home this morning, we should have an email before lunch, we can print and he can sign with James as a witness. David can notarize it for us." "Now to figure what to do for six weeks." "I would suggest you take the time to travel. Visit your real estate and businesses, you'll have meetings in London after your wedding, maybe see the house in Woodstock. I think you should use that as your base in England or the London townhouse. Then I'm sure we can set up meetings in New York and Chicago." "I have a list of auto dealerships in the Chicago area you might meet with if we're there. And while we're on that subject, there's a group in Youngstown OH that wants to sell, I think we should pick them up." "Thanks Billy, any movement on hanger space?" "Pittsburgh is willing to give us a 100 year lease if we build a hanger. Atlantic will handle maintenance and fueling as part of the FBO. An advantage to a contract with Atlantic is that we'll have facilities at Teterboro, Chicago, and two dozen other places. I think we just base the G there and build or rent at Butler for the Phenom." "Base both at Pittsburgh for now, give the info to Oliver and Leonard. We'll build it if we can. Don't bother him now but when you can, find out from Jack who he uses in Europe." There was a knock and Billy answered, "Clint, Mickey and Ted would like to speak with you Sir?" "Show them in Billy. Mike, David I'll see you at lunch." As Mike and David left, I moved to my desk and sat "What can I do for you gentleman?" None of them had made eye contact so I had a feeling what was coming. "To be brief, we've scented the change and are asking to serve in your pack." "Ted speaks for me." "And me Sir." "And you're all independent souls? Or do I need to speak to an Alpha?" "Our pack is made up of pilots and our Alpha answers to Prince George, that's how he contacted us. We have permission from George and our Alpha's blessing to leave. He'd like to meet you when it's convenient Sir, nothing to do with us though." "So your pack is a gang of nomads basically?" "Yes Sir, and you've offered us the home we've wanted so it fits our needs. And we can see the type of person you are." "I see. I'm happy to have you gentlemen. I'd like that Alpha's contact information, get it to Billy." "Yes Sir, and on a purely business issue, there is a mated pair that are looking for a home. Alpha Sanchez offered them when we asked about spare pilots, They're both rated for the Phenom and since it's cleared for single pilot, they can trade off and one acts as steward. That opens a seat in the rear as well. Something to consider Sir." "You said he was 'offering' them. As employees or pack members?" "I can't speak for him but it sounded like whichever fit your desires." "I see. Before I ask this, you need to know that I'm not requiring those who join the pack to surrender their assets but some have offered. You made no offer nor did you ask, why not?" "Alpha Sanchez is a hard man Sir, we have no assets, or they would be yours." I looked at Scott then Billy. This isn't how you treat people, it's wrong. "Thank you Ted, please ask them to contact me. And you've said enough 'Sirs' to last the year, I don't go for that now any more than I did before, understood?" "Yes Sir." he said grinning. "Don't make me bite you. There's a pack meeting in the dining room at lunch, I'll see you there, I need to make some calls so please excuse us. Oh, and bad news, I'll go over details at the meeting, but there are things happening and we're not finishing the rooms downstairs. Billy will book you in a hotel in Butler, take the Ram, use it for whatever, please check with Billy before you travel more than an hour from the house." They nodded and left and when the door closed, I grabbed my phone. "George, I'm hearing about Alphas that treat their packs like slaves, is that common?" "Some are very old and go by old rules Greg. I treated mine like trash until the last 200 years or so. I've found I do much better when I treat them well." "Am I allowed to challenge an Alpha for his pack?" "You are, but I've found it's better to just destroy them in business, and attract pack members rather than take. If he can't afford to support them properly, they have a right to ask the Council for freedom if he refuses their request to leave. I'm guessing you're talking about a certain air boss?" "It's possible, yes." "He's already weak, I've eaten into his finances over the last 30 years. He'll be done soon. I've tried to get him as a serving Alpha and he's refused. I'm thinking he's about to give in to me just to keep the title." "He's got to treat his pack right or he's got to go." "I agree Greg, but you're busy enough. May I deal with him for now?. Anything else? I have a meeting in five minutes, I was about to go in." "No, thanks George." and I hung up. "Well, I just confirmed George has serving Alphas. Scott, read that book. We both need to understand all these customs and politics. You too Billy. For now, secure that thing in the safe, we've got a human around. Let's go to lunch." I walked into the dining room to find the food on the table and everyone standing at a chair. The head and the chairs to either side of it were empty, obviously for Scott, Billy and me. When I sat, they sat, no one ate until I started eating. This was too much. "Alright, I'm not a 500-year-old Alpha, I was born in this century, and we are friends, family, and we're not doing this. I appreciate the seating, we can stick to that, but sit down and relax and eat if I'm not in yet, got it?" I heard a mix of 'yes Greg' 'yes Sir' and 'yes Alpha'. Sigh. "There are major changes coming, this house is going to be totally rebuilt, meaning we can't live here after the wedding. We're taking an extended trip, Mary, the pups, Brandon, Billy, Clint & co of course will be with us, no option. I would like some others, but this might be your last chance for some time off for a while, so if you'd like six weeks to do something, please speak up." "Sir? Sarah and I aren't in the pack, and we haven't seen her parents in several years. Might we visit them?" "Billy will get you tickets for Sunday evening. I'll pay to fly you out to see your daughter too if you like. We'll figure out the return dates after we're sure. Anyone else?" "I will be here supervising the projects?" "Yes Leonard, Tommy can stay with you if you like. We can put you in a hotel in Butler." "I'd prefer to be with you, if I may?" said Tommy. "I haven't been to London since King George. I'd like to go also?" "OK Frederick. Tommy, I appreciate it, and I can smell the protective hormones. I don't think I'm going to go anywhere without at least one of you two, am I?" they just grinned. "Agreed, we need to keep in mind the plane only seats 18, and Frederick and Tommy just made 10." "Unless you need us, I think David and I remain here?" "If Jack gets his plan done before we go, I might need you, Mike. I can send you back commercial once it's cleaned up, at least the initial issues." "That's true, so I make 11." "Jack can go with Mom and Dad to Florida. Hang out there while we're in London, then I think he'd like to help with the pups. So, we have a plan? Billy and David will be getting you all debit cards, please take care of your needs. I want you all to live as you please, just keep the good of the pack in mind. We'll be getting a few vehicles for group use and if we run short, we'll fix it. Your lives are your own except when I need you. No need to ask to go to town for dinner or a movie, but don't travel beyond an hour's drive unless Billy or I know where you are please. Anything I missed? Any questions?" I looked around and it seemed we were all on the same page so far so I went on. "I want to cater the wedding. On a daily basis, your roles in the pack mean some of you act as servants, but at the wedding, you're all family and I want you all to be able to relax. Mike? David? You are my 'go to' for people in Pittsburgh, can you help?" "I'll get a name to Billy shortly, I need to call and see if he's still in town." "Thanks David, do we have a minister among us?" Mike smiled "I suppose I'm your man. Do you want religious or what?" "Scott's call, totally." "What? NO, it's our wedding, not just mine." "I'm busy enough, you get to do all of this. Mickey, plan on picking Matt and Liz up in CT and bringing them here on Saturday, leave here when you like and have them back by noon?" "Yes Sir, I'll take Clint?" "Your call. I'm counting on that couple you mentioned to take them back to CT, then take Mom, Dad, and Jack to Florida in the Phenom. They can stay there until we sort out Jack." "I'll call Alpha Sanchez." "No, you're to have no more contact with him." "Yes Alpha!" "Sorry, I didn't mean to snap, but that goes for the three of you." and I got three subdued nods. The doorbell rang and Frederick went to get it. I caught the scent and had to fight to control my beast, Tommy and Billy were on their feet in seconds and at my side. "My office, now."
