Chapter 59 – 2018 Christmas Week

The painters cut it close, two days later the Doyle clan arrived from the east. They arrived in two SUVs. They managed to arrive at Sky Harbor airport within an hour of each other and rented the SUVs and drove up together. Now they stood on the front porch and knocked, I answered the door naked since I knew it was them and Ron said, "Excuse me, we're lost. We're looking for Patricia Doyle's house. I thought she lived near here in an old dark green house with brown shutters. Might you know where she lives?"

"Come on in Ron. Welcome everyone, to Grandma's new house!"

They stepped inside and looked around in wonder. Ron grabbed me in a giant bear hug, and whispered, "Hello brother." in my ear and kissed my cheek. Mike did something similar, "It nice to know mom is being taken care of with family around, welcome to the Doyle clan.

"We knew dad really loved you, every time we would call he would tell us everything new about you," Ron said. "Mom just told us about the trip to the lake. That makes you one of us.

Before they left home Grandma had informed Mike and Ron, that Grampa had taken me to the lake the day before he died and they had a new brother. I did not know she had told them till now. I could feel our relationship changing.

They wandered around the living room even before starting to take their clothes off. Well, except for the kids, the FIRST thing they did was take off their clothes.

"Holy shit, this looks GREAT!"

"Grandma is in the sun room, go on back."

The kids ran on back while the adults took off their clothes and laid them across their roller bags. They got a glimpse of the kitchen as they passed the entrance on their way to see Grandma.

"Oh, my God look at the wall!" Ron said as he stood in front of it a gazed out on the back yard. "Mom this is wonderful who did all this for you?"

"Sherri was the interior decorator, foreman, and head shopper, she had every contractor in town working for her and she supervised everything but the kitchen. Kitchens are Nicole's bailiwick."

"Come on, we'll show you around," Mom and Momma said.

"My domain first, then I'll get out of your way." Momma led the procession to the dinette first then on into the main kitchen pointing out each major feature, showing everyone how to use the touchless faucet, past the walk-in pantry, pointing out the chest freezer, through the laundry room and down the narrow hall leading back to the living room.

"I'll let Sherri take over from here."

"We didn't do much in here," Mom explained, "just the floor and some rugs, some paint and new furniture.

"And a TV! You made this a real living room." Mike exclaimed.

"And it so much brighter too," Ollie said.

"Yeah, we spend a lot of time in here now. The dining room didn't change much, same table and chairs, again, we just did the floor and paint. Let's go back to the bedrooms."

"Is that the same rug?" asked Mike.

"I kinda remember it looking that way when we were little."

"Grandma didn't want any changes in her room, just refinished the floor and a complete deep cleaning and re-painting it in exactly the same colors. Even the lamp shades were hand steam cleaned. We sent the rug out to be professionally cleaned and that's how it came back. They wanted to buy it, offered grandma $30,000 for it. She said no.

Moving on into the bathroom, Mike and Ron liked the walk-in tub, "Perfect for Mom," they said, then ogled at the walk-in shower with twin rain-maker shower heads.

The moms' room was next, completely different following the southwest theme of the rest of the house with colors and décor. Vertical blinds that could be pulled open during the day or closed for complete privacy. "Of course we're right across the hall for any assistance necessary."

"Thank you Sherri, we were so relieved when we heard you accepted Mom's offer."

"Grab your suit cases, everyone, next stop is upstairs, where all of you will be staying." At the top of the stairs, "You can leave your suitcases here, except Ron and Nancy, we'll go to your room first.

"This is actually Noah's room, but Logan sleeps here most of the time too. You'll notice we haven't done anything with any of the windows yet, we're replacing all the windows throughout the house after the New Year, and we'll figure out what types of window treatments we want then.

"I think you'll like the new bathrooms." We left the bedroom by entering the bathroom. The all-new construction was impressive; tile floor, custom tiled walk-in shower with smoked glass walls and door. Twin rainfall showerheads with side wall nozzles. This shower could obviously hold 2 adults with plenty of room leftover. Out the opposite door and into, "This is Logan's room, though I'm not sure he's slept in the bed yet. We just moved in last Wednesday." We exited Logan's room back into the hall. "Mike, I figure you should have Logan's room,"

We went through the two guest rooms, one for each of the other adult couples, then into the Game Room. The first thing that grabs your attention is the decal on the outer wall that makes it appear to be a hole in the wall with a galactic space battle going on outside. "Oh cool! Is this our room?" the kids asked.

"Yes, you'll be sharing it with Noah and Logan, but the bunk beds sleep 8 between them, plus the couch is a king bed. I'll leave it you other adults to decide which rooms you want.

"Oh. I almost forgot the hall bathroom." Mom went back in the hallway and opened the bathroom door. It was done in a similar style, just different colors and a little more spread out, it was the somewhat larger of the two upstairs bathrooms, and the contractor took advantage of the space. But what made it really different was there was no shower door. The glass outer wall just ended 30 inches from the corner. You simply walk in then take a few steps over to the controls. Very little water would ever splash out and the floor was very slightly sloped back towards a drain. Dual sinks in a vanity 8 feet long. The far end of the room where the window was, was left clear for the stairs that pulled down out of the ceiling for attic access.

That night we had our first ever Video Game Night. It was awesome, we only played till 1 in the morning which was 4 in the morning where they had just come from, when Kim and Steve who were trying to sleep across the hall came in and made us knock it off. Ollie was in one of the bean bag chairs already sound asleep. Jessica & Andy had made it to the bottom bunk of one of the beds some time earlier, leaving only the older kids. We ended up sleeping on the couch or in the bean bags.

Yeah, we slept in, but we were up in time for lunch. Hey, it's Christmas break and all we're doing today, is heading up to The Camp this afternoon. It's surprisingly easy to run 8 of us through the new shower. The three shower heads makes for plenty of room for showering or whatever else you may want to do while naked in a shower.

Down in the kitchen, there were makings for sandwiches and chips in the kitchen. I made myself a triple decker with potato chips instead of the center slice of bread, grabbed some Crunchy Cheetos and ice tea and went out on the patio where Mike, Ron, Grandma and Momma were. "Where's everybody else?"

"Don't you know you're not allowed to ask that kind of question this close to Christmas?" Momma stated not really asking.

"Oh, they went shopping, huh?"

"Well the airlines do make it difficult or expensive to travel with Christmas presents. We made deals with the kids this year, they wouldn't get anything very big Christmas day, but when we get home there will be presents waiting. So they're only getting small things that will fit in their roller bags." Ron explained.

Mike took me off to the side and gave me an update on Jessica & Andy's sexual education. After their introduction to their bodies after Grandpa's funeral, they opened up to their Dad (grandpa) when they got home with all sorts of questions. They were having a healthy explorative relationship with each other and their friends around home. They even had their first anal sex over Thanksgiving weekend thanks to Tony and Mason. But they had been warned that there was to be no vaginal intercourse with Jessica for at least a couple years. I told him with her brother and friends she probably wouldn't make that. He said, yeah, he knew, but he could hope.

When everyone got home from shopping, preparations were made for leaving to get up to The Camp. We planned to eat dinner at the Italian restaurant in Lake Keyo that would put us in camp around 8:30.

We checked in, picked up Amanda and drove slowly towards La Casa. As we drove past the cottage there was a new sign out front. It sat kinda off to the side so it wouldn't be right in front of the building. It was made from solid wood, mounted on 4"x4" posts set in the ground 15 feet from the building. The sign itself was an oval cross-section slice of wood from a tree trunk, from the color I was guessing it was a redwood from California. There certainly weren't any trees that big around this state. The lettering was routed into the wood, and the sides and bottom of the letters painted black. The sign said the same thing the temporary sign had on it. The Frank and Patricia Doyle Museum of The Camp. "Stop here a couple minutes, I want everyone to see something inside." Dutifully the three car caravan stopped and everyone went inside.

On an easel in the center of the room was an artist's representation of what the new main building was to look like. A separate easel had another rendering of the Cottage Museum and next door a log cabin with a roof sign: General Store and Snack Bar.

"There's something I want you all to know, but I don't want it spread around. Remember the email from The Camp about the anonymous donation that kicked off the building plan? Well, the anonymous donor was Frank, at least it was one of his life insurance checks worth just over a million dollars to replace the rec center. I know how much everyone hates that building."

"But Mom, How can you afford all this? A live in caretaker, a beautifully refurbished house, you already donated this cottage. . . ."

"Ron your father was Irish. Did you ever see him spend any money? The only new car he ever bought was the Navigator, and that was only a couple years ago. He saved every dime he ever made. He didn't believe in the stock market, he bought insurance policies to make sure we had money for our golden years. Well the golden years are here, he's gone now, and 5 insurance policies mailed me checks. I now have more money than I can ever spend. You are going to be getting some nice inheritances when I kick the bucket. There are 5 more insurance policies on me too.

"Mom, don't talk like that."

"It's just the truth boys. I want to see all the years of our scrimping, cutting corners, saving S&H green stamps and just getting by do some good.

Ron and Mike had never known anything about their father's financial dealings, they had always believed that a Deputy Sheriff's pay just wasn't as good as some of their friends' fathers' pay. Now, they're finding out that when their mother dies, they will be multi-millionaires.

We got back in our cars to proceed on to La Casa. As we got closer they could see the new mobile home parked across the road from us. We pulled into La Casa parking spot and the other two SUVs parked at Momma's trailer and the empty spot behind us.

"You have a new neighbor, I see." Mike said.

"Nah, she's old." I replied.

Grandma got her keys out and walked over to the new mobile home. "That's yours Mom?"

"Well after giving away the cottage, my life membership still gave me the right to park something out here. I looked at travel trailers first, but ended up with this. Be it ever so humble, this is now home."

Mom and Momma took Momma's old trailer; Ron & Nancy took the small bedroom; Mike took the hide-a-bed in La Casa's living room and shared with his twins, Jessica and Andy; Taylor & Jillian took Grandma's spare bedroom; Kim & Steve took Grandma's hide-a-bed; Logan offered to share a recliner with Ollie; me and Amanda made up half the kitchen table bed leaving Mason, Hailey, Tony, and Avery to share the big bedroom. By 9:30 all of us were in bed and most of us asleep. The cross country trip, and the time change was catching up to everyone.

Early to bed equals early to rise, so on Friday morning when Momma came in to start the cinnamon rolls, I woke up and finally got to learn how to make them. Amanda wasn't ready to get up and she crawled into the second recliner and went back to sleep. We needed 20 rolls this morning which meant 2 batches of 12 each. Oh darn, leftover cinnamon rolls. First order of business was the coffee. We got out the 30 cup maker and started the coffee first. Then we started the rolls.

Momma had me help her with the first batch, measuring ingredients and such, then supervised as I made the second batch. I could see myself making these on a campout for the leadership cooking group in a Dutch oven.

When the first batch came out of the oven the second went in, then we made the icing for the first batch. Part of the icing secret is to put it on the rolls while they're still hot, but not too hot. The timing created by making the icing only after they come out of the oven is the perfect amount of time for them to cool to the right temperature. Then just add a couple scrambled eggs with ham and cheese and you have a perfect breakfast. And maybe add a glass of orange juice. Coffee works too, for some. Chocolate milk is good too.

I remade our bed back into a kitchen table, seating was going to be at a premium. The overwhelming smell of cinnamon rolls woke everyone in the main part of the trailer. It was still chilly outside so no one would be sitting at the patio table. We put a skillet of frozen, pre-cooked sausage patties on the burner to brown, if some preferred sausage to ham. We had two skillets to make the eggs as required.

The furnace also kicked in this morning at 7 warming the place up and making it more inviting to get out of bed. Mom came in part way through the cinnamon roll production and Grandma came over about the same time. Grandma has done this before and had a long thick robe to wear between trailers, which she hung up as soon as she entered the heated trailer. Ron and Nancy arrived, they and Mike were pulling out coffee cups.

It was going to be a couple hours before it would warm up outside, it got down to 43° (6° C.) last night.

We had a great weekend, and as it progressed the line between us being the neighbors and us being other family members was erased. Ron, Nancy and Mike became great Uncle and Aunts. Ron's kids and their spouses became Aunts and Uncles and the children all became cousins.

Grandma had brought her photo album about The Camp (the one she showed me before my first trip up here). Everybody got a chance to look through it and then she gave it to Wayland for the museum. That gift prompted another newsletter article asking for any early artifices of The Camp to likewise be donated to the Frank and Patricia Doyle Museum of The Camp. While Grandma was the longest registered member, there were second-generation members who may have other old camp memorabilia from their parents.

Wayland came by Saturday to tell us the renovations looked like they could begin in January and The Camp would be "officially" closed for about three months, but he shared with us, that since we were self-sustained we could come up, but should call first in case water, gas, or electricity might be turned off for the weekend, otherwise we were welcome to come up and enjoy the mountains and the sounds of construction. Most facilities would be closed but we could use the miniature golf course or Frisbee golf or ride any of the bike trails. The only place to shower would be at the pool, which would have hot water, but the pool would not be heated.

Saturday night they had a karaoke contest in the rec center, Mason and Hailey entered as a duo Tony and Avery entered in the same category. Hailey and Avery entered as a female duo. I entered in the spoken word category and did "Little Drummer Boy" in the 14 and up group. I KILLED it, not that there was any competition in my age group. I didn't try to sing I just said the words in tune to the music and everyone loved it. Hailey and Avery are very good and even without practice easily took first place. Tony and Avery were the best, actually Tony has an amazing sweet voice and was outstanding and he carried Avery as they sang "Silent Night." Actually Tony sang and Avery did backup. They were incredible, they got a standing ovation by everyone in the center.

Ollie, Hailey, Andy, and Logan sang "I saw mommy kissing Santa Clause" and sounded just as bad as the Jackson 5.

We had fun singing and got to pick several CDs from the prize box. Tony and Avery took home the grand prize and were declared entertainers of the year. Tony could have won every category he entered if he had wanted. Think Justin Bieber when he was 12. For you older readers think Wayne Newton.

We left immediately after breakfast Sunday morning, the cleaning service needed time to prepare the three trailers for renters. All three were rented out for Christmas Week. 9 nights at holiday rates!

As we were dropping Amanda off at her house on the way out, it hit me. Camp is going to be closed for three months, maybe more. I'd need to make arrangements to see Amanda. I promised I'd call her after Christmas.

We had a day and a half to do Christmas shopping.

I had to borrow Mom's credit card as an advance on the company sale to get Logan a new game system with several games he only dreamed about. I had no clue what to get Grandma, so I got her a neck chain for her camp id tag, a nice one, not the $5 kind I had been wearing. Hers had diamonds on it. I also got the moms some nice stuff, things they were never able to afford themselves. I made Logan help me wrap them and signed them from both of us.

I got each of my cousins either a DVD or a CD based on hints they made up at camp.

Christmas was a bit subdued for the Doyle clan, especially Mike and Ron, this was their first Christmas without their Dad or Grandpa as the rest of us called him. We did Christmas morning presents in the living room with a 9 foot tree that we decorated on the 24th, lighting the lights in a ceremony on Christmas Eve. For the Doyle brothers, that brought back memories of one Christmas that when they turned the lights on, not a single bulb lit up. Every strand had a problem, but that was the Doyle tradition no lights till the official lighting, we did test every strand very carefully before putting them on.

The day after Christmas, Lauren, the lady renting our house started moving in. It was her and her 4 children in a car that made our blue piece of crap look like a brand new Cadillac. It was an orange 1978 Ford Pinto, one of the ugliest cars of all time. We went over to welcome them and found they had several more trips to make. Mom went and got the Navigator and brought everything to their new house in one trip. The kids whose Christmas present was a new house to live in with a swimming pool immediately wanted to know where it was when they didn't find it in the back yard.

Lauren has 4 children from two different fathers. The first marriage ended several years ago, and his offspring were Aiden – 10 & Emma – 9. The second male influence ended 4 years ago and his children were both 6 but were 9 months apart in age. The older one, Abby was 6 years 9 months the youngest was Luke at 6 years and 2 weeks.

Their mom looked to me and told them I would show them the pool, but that I needed to explain the rules first. Luckily, today was a beautiful warm day and Logan and I took them out in the back yard to the gate. The number one rule was an older person had to be present for them to go in the pool, someone like me, or one of the parents. I explained how to be admitted to the pool by using the intercom.

"Shouldn't we go put our swim suits on?" the young girl asked.

I whispered in Logan's ear to go get the other kids to come out to the pool, especially the younger ones. He slipped through the gate to go round them up to welcome our new pool guests.

I squatted down in front of the two little ones, so I could be at their level. "Your mom told me that you two like to run around the house with nothing on, is that true?" The girl looked like she was a little embarrassed and hesitated to answer. The boy who had just turned 6 before Christmas admitted that it was true. "That makes the two of you nudists." Looking at two older kids I asked, "Do you know what nudists are?" The both nodded.

Well, everybody who lives in the house next door are nudists too, and if you want to come over to our house, or to come in the back yard, and especially to swim in the pool, you have to be a nudist too. You understand what that means?" The older one nodded their heads, the younger ones hadn't equated being a nudist to being naked. They shook their heads. "That means you have to be naked. No clothes allowed."

I heard Mom tell the mother, "That means you too."

"Oh." they both said, and started taking off their t-shirts. I stood up and took my clothes off as well as did Mom behind them and their mother too. The two older kids just stood there staring, watching me undress.

Aiden said as he was turning to his mom, "Mom he's kidding, right?" Just as he said the word `right', he saw his own mother completely naked. From the look on his face it was probably for the first time.

Their mom repeated what I had said that if they wanted to go swimming, they had to be naked. I opened the gate and on the other side of the fence were Ollie, Mason, Hailey, Tony, Avery, Jessica, Andy, and Logan all naked. The younger ones stepped through the gate and their mom and Mom stepped around them and went through. "Are you coming with us?"

They weren't wearing much in the way of clothes and pulled off their t-shirts together. Aiden pushed his shorts to the ground revealing he wasn't even wearing underwear, Emma took her time removing shorts and panties then stepped through the gate. I brought up the rear. I went to the pool house and brought out a pile of towels we would need later. We soon had 13 kids in the pool including 4 new ones who soon forgot they were naked and just began having a good time. Their mom was busy up on the patio with a glass of rum-laced eggnog meeting Grandma and all her clan. Momma came out and invited them all to dinner since they had just moved in and all.

That night Aiden & Emma got to stay the night to play video games and were exposed to sex for the first time when Tony fucked his cousin Hailey. When Emma saw them going at it, she went and got Aiden and pulled him over to the bunk bed to watch.

Watching Aiden & Emma's reaction was interesting. They started by staring at the action. Then each of them allowed a hand to slide into their own private place. Aiden's stare switched to Emma's fingers as she worked them through her vulva pleasuring herself in front of him. He was stroking his 2-˝" hard little missile. He suddenly stopped and ran for the bathroom. Logan followed him. I followed along behind. Aiden was standing in front of the toilet trying to pee, but nothing was coming out.

"Why'd you stop, you were almost there."

"Almost where?"

"You know you almost had a dry cum, an orgasm."

"What are you talking about?

"You were masturbating, you were right on the edge. A few more seconds and you would have cum."

"A few more seconds and I would have peed on the floor, I had to stop."

"No Aiden that wasn't pee that was the beginning of it." Logan walked up behind Aiden and reached around him taking his penis in his fingers and started stroking him again. Aiden just stood there and let him, enjoying the feeling of someone else handling his penis for the first time. It didn't take Logan long to have Aiden back at the edge.

"There it is again, I gotta pee. I got pee bad."

"Then let yourself pee, I got you." Logan stroked a little more forcefully and Aiden let out a long slow breath.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh," but to his surprise no pee went towards the toilet, then he knees buckled a little at the release of the pent-up feelings.

"What was that?"

"That my new friend, was an orgasm, apparently your first one?" Aiden nodded. "Turn around," Logan ordered and Aiden complied. Logan dropped to his knees and asked, "Shall we try for your second one?" as he took Aiden's penis in his lips and sucked him to another orgasm a minute later. "If you were 12 or 13, you'd shoot out semen at the end instead of it being dry. I do it the same as you, so does Andy, and Ollie. The other guys are old enough to shoot semen."

"What about the girls, do they shoot semen too?"

"No, girls are different, they don't have penises or balls, they have vaginas. That's where guys put their penis if they want to make a baby." Logan was giving Aiden a very simplified lesson on human reproduction, but he had his facts right, almost the correct names of the body parts, and was all Aiden needed at the moment.

"So can I do that master thing any time I want?"

"Masturbate? Yeah, you can do it whenever you want, but I wouldn't do it in front of your mom, or any adults really. You can do it anytime around us. But whoever is around, it should be a friend. So I guess I'm saying you can do it around your friends like now, nobody would say anything. Hey, you want to see Noah shoot? He'll do it if we ask."

"He'd do that in front of me?"

"Hey Noah, can you come in the bathroom please?" I was standing right outside the door in the hall way listening and watching everything they had been doing. So I backed away from the door then walked into the bathroom, my own erection leading the way.

"What's up Logan?"

"Aiden wants to see you shoot."

"Oh really?"

"Yeah, he just had his first dry cum."

"And my second one." Aiden added.

"And I was telling him older boys shoot semen, and I told him you would if we asked. Would you do it for him?"

I sat on the rug on the floor. "No, but I'll tell you what. I'll lie here, and you can show him how to jack me off."

"Ok, that'll work."

I laid back with my dick pointing at my belly button. "Wow, his penis is big."

"Not really, he's pretty average actually for a 15 year old."

"Logan, before you guys start, why don't you go over the part names first."

Logan did an excellent job pointing out the parts of my penis to Aiden and even tested him afterwards. When Aiden passed the test Logan took my penis in his hand.

"Some guys like it when you just slide your hand up and down over the skin like this." He demonstrated masturbation with a loose grip that didn't move the skin of the shaft. "Noah, likes it when you hold him more firmly and the skin moves with your hand. Here, now you try it."

Aiden took over and at first wasn't griping hard enough, "Not quite Aiden, grab it tighter." He increased his grip and the skin moved with his hand as he stroked up and down my penis. I'd be aroused for several minutes now either watching the cousins having sex, or Emma playing with her vulva, or watching Logan give the kid holding my dick a blow job. Needless to say, I didn't last long and warned them I was about to cum.

"Don't stop for any reason till I tell you. He's going to squirt like 5 times." I cummed, the first squirt landing on my chest, the second went nearly straight up landing on my stomach. I felt a pair of lips encircle my penis and knew Logan had taken me in his mouth. Logan pulled away after my 5th squirt and pushed Aiden's head down towards my penis and he obediently replaced Logan's lips. He got the remnants of my orgasm, the dribbles, but he got his first taste of semen. "Ok, you can stop now," he told Aiden after he swallowed what I deposited in his mouth.

His hand slowed to a stop and he sat back up tasting the small amount of semen he got. "It's kinda salty."

"There, you can see it up close on his stomach." Logan leaned over my chest and slurped up the glob there. Aiden got the idea and after touching the puddle on my stomach sucked it up too.

Logan hadn't gotten to cum in all this, so I had him sit on my chest, putting his penis in my mouth and sucked him to his dry cum. It seemed like a more intense cum than usual. Aiden stood there watching me suck Logan and was stroking his penis. His eyes got that far off look and his body tensed up and his hand sped up as he had his first self-imposed orgasm. His third cum did not affect his erection status either. We went back in the game room with him still hard. But to be honest, a 2-˝" erection isn't all that noticeable. I have no idea how many orgasms that little boy had that night. Every time I looked at him, he was jerking on his dick. He had found his new favorite toy.

My cousins Avery and Hailey (the two older girls) took Emma under their wings for the rest of their time with us. They taught her the names of the parts of the vulva. They taught her how to bring pleasure to herself with masturbation then taught her how to masturbate Aiden and had her bring him to orgasm several times. They ate her vulva for her, all the while teaching Aiden how to do it for her. They taught her how to suck Aiden penis without scraping him with her teeth.

On New Year's Eve they offered to teach them both sexual intercourse.

Emma made it known that she wanted her brother to be the first to put his penis in her, which he did willingly and even brought her to orgasm first then orgasmed in her. But his little penis didn't really tear her hymen. It just kinda enlarged a hole through it. So Avery and Hailey finished the job with a lubricated hair brush handle, then Tony and Mason made love to her as well. They licked her and sucked on her and brought her to several orgasms. Aiden was right there through the whole thing and helped whenever he could. This all took place in the game room after Lauren took Abby and Luke home for the evening.

Ollie and Logan just kinda hung back and stayed on the sidelines. They ended up 69ing and then doing some anal sex.

While everyone was concentrating on Emma and Aiden, Jessica and Andy slipped quietly from the room. I saw them leave and Jessica waved for me to follow.

I followed them down the hall to Logan's room, now Mike's room for the duration of vacation. They got up on their grandfather's bed and cuddled each other. Jessica and Andy had been witness to multiple acts of sexual intercourse, and had discussed what they saw with me and understood that it could be the ultimate act of love in the right circumstances. Tonight Andy and Jessica lost their virginities as well. They made sweet unexperienced love to each other. Each trying to please the other, with actions they had witnessed. They didn't need me in the room, but they asked me to be there to support them as they found their way.

At midnight I went downstairs to celebrate with the adults, we had some fireworks to light off in the back yard. I got away from the group and called Mike over. I let him know that he had two sleepy children in his bed that had decided to take the next step in their development and had made love to each other without the influence of their cousins, and it had been a beautiful caring union of brother and sister. And that I had been the only witness. He thanked me for being there with them and would continue to talk to them when they got home.

*** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ***

Two day after Christmas at breakfast we were all told that we had to wear clothes this morning, Grandma's lawyer came to the house and all the adults had a big meeting around the dining room table. From what I heard they were formalizing the agreements that had been made between her and Mom and the rest of us and were creating trust.

Grandma expanded on her finances beyond what she told everyone up at camp, just so the family would know. When Grandpa died he had 5 separate life insurance policies each worth a million dollars or more. Grandma was the beneficiary of all of them. Grandma would be receiving the survivor's benefit of Grandpa's county retirement for the rest of her life. Her long term care plan was a separate policy that was paying Mom and would continue as long as Grandma lived at home, then would pay for her room and board in a care facility.

Grandma had the same 5 life insurance policies on herself too. They were payable to Frank.

They kept talking about trusting someone I couldn't tell who. They kept saying everything would be in the trust. I finally figured out the trust is actually a document, kind like a will, but different. They ended up paying the lawyer a couple thousand dollars and he was going to take care of everything they needed.

They also gave Mom and Momma something about Powerful Attorneys over Grandma's Healthcare decisions and financial matters.

Mom would continue to receive her salary from the long-term insurance, as long as she followed up on the education requirements as stipulated by the insurer for in-home care providers.

There was a review of Grandma's recent expenses, mainly the house remodel. The kitchen was the biggest single item if you add in all the appliance purchases and lump everything into a Kitchen pot. In all it was about $80,000. The bathrooms were next about $65,000 for all three. The next was the item that hadn't been installed yet. The replacement windows had been paid for and were currently being made. They were $45,000. The sunroom wall wasn't cheap either. All totaled the remodel was in the neighborhood of $250,000. But not one complaint was even hinted at. The mobile home purchase was in there too as was the electric cart and its garage.

They finished up with the lawyer secure in knowing their mother would be taken care of for the rest of her life, and that she had the money to do whatever she wanted. There would be some documents for her to sign as everything was transferred into the trust, but the lawyer would take care of that.

Chapter 60 –
The Sale of JBN Enterprises Closes

Mr. Tamura called a meeting of JBN Enterprises for the last business day of 2018. Remembering how much we enjoyed the food served at our last meeting, he had his chef provide a similar spread for this one. We were told to bring our families along if we wished. This time Mom, Momma, Logan and I made sure we arrived a little early. John had brought Mr. Cohen. I invited Gramma, but she decided to stay home with the rest of the family.

The meeting was again held in the indoor pool area. Mom had been digitally sent documents that she would need to sign today and had carefully read them. When we arrived, one of Tamura International's lawyer's had her sign those documents then he signed them as the witness.

The food was out and we were told to help ourselves. Logan had never had Japanese food before and even though he tried many of them, he tended to prefer the tempura style foods, especially the tempura shrimp. A few of the choices he tried ended up on my plate with a bite off one end, like the squid and eel.

When we were all seated Mr. Tamura began. "For the past few weeks, Mr. Pinedo has been preparing for the completion of the sale of JBN to the buyer. Last week, he completed the task and turned over all deliverables. Escrow closed on Wednesday and we're here today for Mr. Pinedo to deliver the distribution of shares of JBN to the partners. John, the floor is yours."

"Thank you Mr. Tamura. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you, your legal department, and your advertising department for your tremendous help in launching, advertising and assistance in the sale of JBN Enterprises. Without that assistance JBN would not have turned out to be such a valuable company.

When escrow closed and I was handed the final check my knees went weak when I saw all the digits and commas on the check. "Now as you might expect there are expenses to outside parties when creating and selling a company. Tamura International covered those expenses along the way, and I have since paid them back their expenses including interest out of the proceeds of the sale. There were some other smaller expenses for materials, supplies, parts of the beta system, which by the way The Camp was not charged, but all of that is minor and I'm not taking anything to recoup those. I did the calculations of your portions of the proceeds they came to $3,404,716. JBN Enterprises never opened a checking account, so these are cashier's checks good at any bank.

John handed myself and Benjie our checks. I looked at mine and stared at it for a moment. "John, this is for way more than you said."

"Yeah, I know. On April 15th you're going to get a lesson in being an adult. This sale is personal income for all of us. We're going to have to pay income taxes on this money. Your taxes on the original amount would have only left you with about $2 million.

"Then I remembered what Micky told me about taking care of you two."

"That's right I did, Micky interrupted, "John putzed around with this idea for a year. You guys came along and ran with his idea, and in less than 3 months you rewrote every line of code he had used, had it up and running and turned it into a $23 million company, with Mr. Tamura's help of course."

So I made some assumptions and calculated your tax liability and added enough so that after takes you'll have close to the 15% of the sale price $3,450,000 to invest.

"But this is over five and a half million dollars!"

"That's the harsh reality of making money, Uncle Sam wants his share, you're going to owe over $2 million in taxes. Logan pulled on my arm holding the check so he could see it too. I looked over at Mom and Momma, they were both crying.

As if by some magic, Champaign showed up again, even one for Logan with about a half inch in his glass. John offered the toast, "To partners and good friends, and to the demise of JBN Enterprises."

The official meeting was over. I had Momma put my check in her purse, more tempura with an emphasis on shrimp showed up. Benjie invited us to go swimming, we were ready, we'd just been waiting for the formal invitation. The adults sat around sipping on their Champaign, we swam and made trips to the food table.

At the food table I made a passing comment about how nice it would be to meet Chef Kenzou. "Sure, let's go." We set our plates down and took off for the kitchen. We went through some back hallways and ended up in the kitchen. "Chef Kenzou! I'd like you to meet my friend Noah Barnes and his little brother Logan."

I bowed like Benjie had taught me and Chef Kenzou returned the bow. "I just wanted to let you know how much I have enjoyed your food. Thank you for making it for us."

"I really like your crunchy shrimp things," Logan added.

"You are very welcome Noah and Logan, but haven't you three forgotten something?" I looked at Benjie to see if he knew what Chef was talking about.

"Oh, you mean our clothes. Sorry Chef, we were swimming and Noah wanted to meet you." Benjie explained.

"I see."

"I even ate in your restaurant once. Mom and I had to go downtown to turn in my Eagle Scout application. As a celebration we ate there. It was very good. I'd like to take my family there someday."

"I'm glad you enjoyed it. If you decide to go, let me know when you are going, I may be able to make some special arrangements for you."

"Wow that would be way cool."

"Perhaps you should return to the pool area, I'll be sending in some desserts soon."

"Thank you again Chef Kenzou! It was nice to meet you."

Mr. Tamura's driver took us home an hour or so later. Neither Mom nor Momma was in any condition to drive, something about Champaign sneaking up on you. Another employee followed us driving the Navigator. We got to ride in a limousine.

Mr. Tamura gave us the name of tax guy, and one "really good" investments guy. We made appointments to see them in the New Year.

All the Doyle clan left on New Year's Day to return to either Middletown, Ohio or Louisville, Kentucky. School starts back up Jan 3rd, and they wanted a day to rest up from an always hectic day of travel. Mike sent a text message when he got home, "All the furniture is still here!"

January 2nd after school, Logan and I rode our bikes to the bank downtown. I went to the "New Accounts" desk and told the man there that I wanted to open an account and handed him my check for 5.5+ million. The guy thought it was a joke and called the manager. He ushered me into his office and assured me that this would be taken care of. A call to the bank that issued the check confirmed its validity and my account was opened. He talked me out of a checking account saying that a credit card, a debit/ATM card and Google Pay would be all I'd ever need. I got my very own credit card in my name. The manager wanted to talk about investment portfolios, and annuities, but I told him that my investments counselor would be making all those decisions. I owed Mom money from borrowing her credit card at Christmas and had the nice man transfer the money to her checking account.

He issued me an ATM card and I withdrew my first $100 from an ATM in the lobby. Having this now allows me to begin spending the money I had hidden in the garage without suspicion as to where I was getting the money.

On the way home I used my credit card to buy our lunches at McDonalds.

The rest of winter break was pretty laid back, the new neighbors hung out a lot and swam every day. Lauren asked one day if we knew anyone who could do babysitting after school and on weekends. I could do it occasionally, but I didn't want to be that tied down. I mentioned that I knew a few Scouts who might, but I'd have to check.

I immediately thought of Carlos who already cares for is 12 year old brother, or Devin who worked so well with Logan and Juan on the project. I call them both to see if they were interested. Carlos said no. After all the years of watching Juan, his mom now allowed Juan to come home after school by himself. Devin said he was interested, and came over to meet Lauren and the kids.

Devin had the skills to be a life guard for the kids and we would allow him to be the "adult escort." He must have done pretty well in the interview as Lauren hired him. I could be Devin's emergency backup on occasion or even Mom if need be. Devin and I knew this was going to be fun.

It wasn't even a week into the New Year that our neighbor was getting ready to leave for work and we heard an awful sound from the driveway next door. There was a loud snap and moments later the shrieking sound of metal grinding against metal, then quiet, then, 30 seconds later, "Awe FUCK."

Mom and I went next door to see what happened. There was a large pool of black oil under the car. I whispered to Mom, "You don't have to save the `blue piece of crap' for me, I think I'll be able to afford my own car in November."

She looked over at me, gave me a quick kiss, and said, "You're so right Honey." We loaned Lauren the old car in the garage till she found out it would cost more to fix it than she could afford and way more than the car was worth. At that point Mom signed the pink slip over to her.

Chapter 61 – Closed for Construction

In the November and December newsletters Wayland warned everyone that The Camp might close in January if the architectural plans were approved and building permits were issued. Well, Diamond Architectural did get the plans approved and the construction foreman, Ginger Diamond, of Diamond Construction pulled the permits. While Ginger wasn't going to be the foreperson on our project, Rocky was allowing her to co-foreperson the project as well as attend her senior year in high school.

For the first time in 55 years the Camp closed shortly after New Year's. The office, rec center, teen lounge, Momma's diner, the Bingo Hall, and the craft lodge, snack bar and General Store were demolished in one day. The main new building went in basically in the same location, the indoor pool and exercise room was not far from there, but was a separate building. The craft lodge was being combined into the new building as part of the rec center. The General Store and snack bar were combined into one building in the form of a prefab log cabin building and it went in near the cottage.

With all the new buildings and large air conditioners, new electricity had to be run up from Lake Keyo. So at the same time Wayland had a fiber-optic internet line run, but only attached the new theater projection system, his house, the office, and The Camp museum. Some of the other camps around us chipped it on that part of the expense and had the line run to their camps too. Wayland did not put in public Wi-Fi, so that The Camp would not become another place where kids would bury their faces in their phones. He also didn't want anyone to be able to post images or videos to social media. If you absolutely had to send a text or an email, or Google something, you could go to the cottage and use the one public computer in there, the one without any type of connection to an external devices.

Right after the first of the year, our windows arrived and the installer called to schedule the installation. A couple days later they showed up while I was at school with a 20' dumpster. Over the next three days they removed all the old single pane windows and replaced them with dual pane, gas-filled, UV-coated, etcetera, etcetera, windows. There was an immediate change in the house, instead of cooling off with the outside, the inside stayed warmer, and instead of the air conditioner having to work hard in the afternoon to keep the house cool, the house simply didn't warm up as much.

Our Photography Lab was coming to a close Thursday Jan 10th with the end of the semester. Each semester the teacher submits photos, taken by the students that quarter, and all the teachers vote on them in several categories. The winners are posted in the main hall for several days. The Tuesday before, our class met in the main hallway to reveal the winners. In the black and white print ad category, I had won second place with Calvin in his superman underwear. In black and white portrait, my picture of Logan took first place.

Later in class, the teacher again pulled me aside. "I wanted you to know that one of your pictures won best in show, but it was one we couldn't display. It was your black and white pet photo with the two boys. It received almost unanimously the 1st place vote for best in show, but as you know, . . . So we had to give the award to 2nd place. I wanted to see what the other teachers thought about it. I thought it was fabulous and wanted other's opinions so I let them see it. It also won 1st place B&W pet, it beat your other picture of your brother for 1st place B&W portrait, 1st place B&W lifestyle.

The morning announcements reminded the other students that the results from the 2nd semester photo contest were on display and the photographers would be on hand during the 2nd half of lunch. Chet caught up with me during the show, "Nice picture of Calvin, Noah. I should have you take my picture too. Over Christmas break, Calvin had his first professional photo shoot. That little pipsqueak got paid 10 grand for a couple hours of playing dress-up and getting his picture taken. Hell, he even has an `agent' now."

"Sorry Chet, you need to be cute to make the big bucks," I teased.

"I've always known he was cute, I just didn't realize he could get paid for it!"

Mom was very pleased I'd won some photography awards, said something about her rubbing off on me, which I had to agree with. She came to school the next day to see the show and made arrangements with the teacher for prints of several of my nude photos that she had only seen in contact prints. They were easy for him to print in the darkroom, but would be very difficult for us to have printed for us. She made a donation to the photography program when she got the prints. Logan and the dog, went on the living room wall in La Casa, and Momma wanted one in their bedroom.

Using some of my money, I had Mom help me buy a camera and accessories. The camera store knew of a local photographer who did very nice custom printing in black and white or in color and would print anything as long as it wasn't pornography. He knew that nudist images that we showed him were covered under the first amendment. He agreed to do any prints we wanted for the camp or guests with about a two-day turnaround.

Chapter 62 – Free Money and Dinner

The first week of February, Detective Morrison dropped by to see how Grandma was doing and to talk with me and Mom. The 6 months was almost up and the money I had turned in was to be returned to me next week. He asked if we would mind having a "press event" to highlight that good deeds are rewarded. Mom expressed her reluctance at potentially drawing the attention of the drug dealers that we were getting `their' money back and didn't want them to come looking for it. He understood completely and said the check would be mailed to us at our new address on the release date which was Feb 11th.

I actually got my check for a little over $48,000 with the accumulated interest and deposited it in the bank.

I called Benjie and asked him to ask Chef Kenzou about a good time to have a family dinner for 5 at his restaurant. Benjie called back and Chef Kenzou suggested Friday night. He had already made reservations for us.

Chef Kenzou called me Thursday evening after dinner to discuss tomorrow's dinner menu.

I told him who was coming, when I mentioned Logan, he remembered him as the small boy who ate all the tempura he could. I confirmed that was indeed my little brother. He asked what I wanted, but I really didn't know what any of it was called, so I explained the lunch Mom and I shared trying all kinds of different items and the food he prepared for us at Benjie's house, and suggested we do something like that again. "Very well," he said, "I'll see what can be put together for you. I have you down for a 6 PM dinner, be prepared to stay about 2 ˝ hours.

Remembering that even at lunch the patrons of the restaurant wore suits, Logan and I wore ours and the moms and Grandma wore nice dresses. Good thing we did too, there were men in the restaurant wearing tuxedos and their dates wore evening gowns. There was something going on at the community theater later that evening not far from the restaurant.

We had arrived on time, and were escorted to a section of the restaurant that looked like a demonstration kitchen. There was one larger half-round table that when we were seated we could see everything, we were actually looking down into the kitchen.

Our first server was an absolutely beautiful young lady, her skin was almost white and was dressed in the traditional style of a Japanese server. She was very formally dressed, her dress was very tight at her ankles and she had to take tiny steps when she walked.

Mom and Momma ordered a cocktail, the rest of us wanted non-alcoholic drinks. Not knowing what to order Grandma asked the young lady what she recommended. She suggested we try some of their Japanese specialty drinks. Grandma said surprise us with three different ones. She brought our drinks back in short order and described each of the Japanese drinks in detail.

A young man wearing a white chef's jacket came into the kitchen and turned on three burners on the gas stove. Three more guys dressed the same way, but with black jackets, brought three pots of liquid and set each of them on a burner, then retreated into the back.

I thought it was odd that no one brought us a menu. But then I remembered that Chef Kenzou said that he would see what could be put together for us. The young man wearing a chef's jacket introduced himself to us. He explained that he had prepared three different soups for us to try this evening.

Taking his time he prepared 5 separate servings of a clear soup, he served it in small bowls and did not provide a spoon. He explained in Japan, you drink the soup straight from the bowl.

Servers cleared away the dishes when we finished then he started serving the next soup. This time it had noodles in it and was served with a spoon and chopsticks. He explained the chopsticks were to help get the noodles into the spoon and from there the soup could be slurped. He even demonstrated proper slurping technique. When the noodles were gone the bowl was picked up we drank the remaining broth.

The third soup was again another different variety. The three guys who brought the soup pots out, retrieved them taking them back into the kitchen. One of them brought out a rice cooker and plugged it in. Other supplies were brought out by the helpers, everything that would be needed to prepare dinner. Seafood on a tray of ice, a couple steaks were let out to `rest' at room temperature. A set of cooking knives was placed beside the preparation area.

The young lady who brought us our drinks brought another round of different drinks for us non-alcoholic drinkers and water was brought for the moms. Hot tea was served for everyone.

As with the first set of drinks, we all tasted each other's drinks and tried to pick the best one, but they were all so good. After she finished her cocktail, Mom switched to the same things we were drinking.

We were sitting with our backs to the dining room, but we heard the tone of the restaurant change. It was, I don't know exactly, . . . more excited maybe? We looked over our shoulders and saw why. It was Chef Kenzou!

He worked his way through the restaurant visiting every table, at some it appeared he knew the people, other he simply said hello before moving on. He worked the whole room before ending up at our table. "Hello Noah, Logan, it's nice to see you with clothes on for a change. He recognized Mom even though he had not formally met her before. I introduced them as my mom Sherri, and Logan's mom Nicole. He took Grandma's hand and held the back of it to his lips as I introduced her as Patricia Doyle my grandmother.

"Welcome to my little corner of Japan," he said. "Tonight I have planned a culinary trip for you featuring specialties from all over the island. Would you mind if I ate dinner with you tonight? We can talk about the food, the way it is prepared, the part of the country it comes from, or if you prefer we can talk baseball. I am a Cardinals fan."

"Of course not, it would be our pleasure to have you eat with us," Mom replied. He made a motion which to one of the girls meant bring another place setting. At this point I figured he was going to eat with us as one of his other Chefs prepared our food.

But I was wrong. He stood and put his chef's hat back on and moved into the kitchen. "I am only going to prepare a limited amount of each dish, basically just enough for each of you to taste it. Logan, I seem to remember that you have a preference for Shrimp Tempura. Is there something about the other dishes that you don't like?"

"Well," Logan stammered as he look for the right words, "sometime it's just the idea of eating eel, or squid or some of the other things that just turns me off."

"I see. So you knew you were having ell before you tasted it. I'll tell you what. I'm going to serve you lots of different food tonight, but I'm not going to tell you what they are till after you at least take one bite. If you don't like it, don't make a big fuss about it, just take it out of your mouth and put it on your side plate. You don't have to eat anything you don't like, deal?"

"Ok, deal," Logan said.

Then speaking to the whole table, "You'll notice there is no soy sauce on the table. Soy sauce is a cooking spice, you'll see me use it back here. If I were to put it on the table that would be like you putting vegetable oil on your table to serve with pancakes."

"Ewe." Logan said as he scrunched up his nose.

"Thank you Logan, you conveyed my sentiments exactly. If you absolutely need it, I will provide it for you, but I encourage you to try the food as it is intended.

After washing his hands, he began preparing dishes he had hot oil on the stove to make tempura out of just about anything. He knew that's what Logan liked. But hey, it's fried food, what's not to like? He made 5 different items and put them on 6 plates, two girls showed up and took four plates and he brought out the other two, one for him and one for Logan. A plate was set in front of each of us. We talked and ate until our plates were empty. Chef Kenzou went back behind the preparation table. That movement triggered three girls to come take the used plates away.

"So Logan, I saw that your plate was empty, nothing too disgusting then?"

"No sir, it was good. What was it?"

"Well let's just say you can take eel off the foods-you-don't-like list."

"Which one was it?"

"You had two small rectangles, one orange, that was raw salmon, and the other one was eel."

"That was really sweet."

"Yes, eel sauce does add a sweetness to the meal."

The next round was mostly tempura, he even made lobster tempura and using some of the steak, made steak tempura. And a couple more pieces of sushi roll were dipped in batter and deep fried. Again he sat with us and enjoyed his own cooking.

After several courses, dinner finally wrapped up at almost 9. He made another motion and the bill was brought to me. I looked at it. "Chef Kenzou, this can't possibly be right."

"What, you had the Tour of Japan dinner for 5, yes?"

"Yes, but this is only $25 per person."

"Yeah, that sounds about right."

"But I've seen your menu. There's nothing this inexpensive on it."

"This is my restaurant and I can charge whatever I want. You are friends of one of my favorite little boys. Care to guess how many friends of his have asked to come to my kitchen to meet me?"

"I have no idea."

"Two. Only you and Logan. You honored me by coming to my kitchen even though you were slightly underdressed. You know you are one of Benjie's best friends, he has talked about you several times and greatly respects and admires you."

I was embarrassed by that comment, it had been a few weeks since I'd even seen Benjie other than in the hallways at school. Time to call him and get together.

You did not have a menu to read so you may not have seen the sign about tipping. Do you know what it means when you leave additional money on top of the bill in Japan?"

"No sir," I said.

"It means you think I need money so I can afford to go back to school to learn how to cook. It is an insult. We pay our servers, chefs, cooks and even our bus boys top wages. They don't need to be tipped. Now pay the bill and be done with it. Thank you all for coming in tonight. If you didn't like the meal, tell me. If you liked the meal, tell your friends."

"Oh, you are definitely getting 5 stars on Yelp from me."

On the way to the car, I said to myself, I'm sorry you weren't here to have dinner with us Grandpa, you would have liked it.

*** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ***

On the way home we discussed going up to The Camp for the weekend. Moms said we could and Grandma was up for it if the utilities were on. Sunday, I called Wayland and asked if the utilities would be on this coming weekend. He assured me the camping areas were isolated from the construction zone and they all would be on. I then called Benjie and invited him to go up to The Camp the following weekend. I also called Amanda and she assured me she would be there since I was coming up. Since I invited Benjie (and Amanda), Logan wanted to invite Jamie and Sierra. He used the logic that he couldn't invite one without inviting the other. His argument won out and he got to invite both. Mom invited our neighbors, but Lauren had to work. In her place she sent her babysitter Devin. So on Friday after school, Grandma, Mom, and Momma, me and Logan, our three guests and Devin and his 4 charges headed up to camp, we needed both the Navigator and Momma's van. I kidded with Mom that we were going to need a bus soon.

Grandma, Mom, and Momma stayed in Grandma's mobile home. Me, Benjie and Amanda stayed in the small bedroom. Logan, Jamie, Sierra, took the hide-a-bed and Devin, Aiden, Emma, Abby, and Luke took the big bedroom.

The Camp was empty of guests but there was lots of construction activity. Next to the cottage, they were building a log cabin about 60 feet long and 40 feet deep, with three doors. That didn't make sense but I figured it would when it was done. The main building was well under way, the foundation was in, and the block walls were going up. Pre-fab roof trusses were staged waiting for the completion of the walls. The pool was well underway. It currently looked like another outdoor pool. The pool itself and the concrete around it were complete, but the pallets of cement blocks were the makings for the walls. We could see the layout for everything the pool area was obvious, there were two shower areas, a large room for exercise equipment, there where equipment rooms and janitor closets. The guys working on the pool weren't working weekends, they were ahead of schedule, so we got to walk around inside the pool building. Ginger was here because it was the weekend and just told us to be very careful where we stepped looking around.

Wayland gave me the key to the outdoor pool so we could go swimming whenever we wanted or to take showers. The only stipulation was that either Devin or I sat in the lifeguard chair. We found that only in the afternoons was the water warm enough to actually get in.

All of the activity areas were closed, but we could play basketball, volleyball, miniature golf, or Frisbee golf whenever we wanted. He let us use the bicycles Saturday morning for a Noah-guided nude ride. Abby and Luke couldn't ride the large size bikes so they stayed with the Moms and Grandma.

Without the bingo game in the evening the moms and grandma came to watch movies with us.

In late February, Grandma informed us that we were going on a 7-night Western Caribbean cruise over spring break in March. We had to fly to Galveston, Texas. The cruise was a first for us all, but that, as they say is a whole different story.

Chapter 63 – Camp Coconino

Over the years there had been a lot of confusion over the name "The Camp" Grandma remembered a couple times when the membership had encouraged Wayland to change it all to no avail.

While they were closed during the construction, a petition was started on Change.org by one of the current members who wished to remain anonymous. They were encouraging a name change for when it reopened. A few hundred families had signed the petition and several people had even gone as far to recommend a new name.

This time Grandma requested a meeting on the subject and she invited the 3 other major donors that were funding the upgrades and a couple other long-time members. Wayland and Matilda came off the mountain for the meeting and we met in Mr. Tamura's conference room. The meeting purpose expanded dramatically when Ducky asked why The Camp wasn't a charitable organization. Wayland said because it was the source of his personal income as well as several employees, and therefore it was a business. Ducky informed him the by reorganizing as a charitable organization, everyone's donations would be tax deductible and he and his employees could still be paid by the charity. It didn't take much discussion to convince him, and the charity was formed. Elected to the board of directors was: life member Patricia Doyle, Mr. John Pinedo, life member Mr. Sakio Ikeda, life member Mr. Everest Wilder, and life member Noah Barnes, as a non-voting Youth Representative. Daiki declined a nomination to the board, he could not have his name associated with a nudist camp, but he still offered the assistance of his legal department.

By the end of the meeting "The Camp" had been officially renamed "Coconino Naturist Camp". But it would commonly referred to as Camp Coconino. Lawyers from Tamura International would be filing the paperwork to give the "Coconino Naturist Camp" a 501c3 status as a non-profit organization which would make everyone's donations tax deductible and also filing a trademark on the name "Camp Coconino." And for the new logo of the camp as well.

Mom was requested by the board to design new flyers for Camp Coconino, a new logo, letterheads, and to design other camp memorabilia that would be for sale in the Coconino Store. The first set of flyers was sent to other nudist resorts and camps all over the west. A second set of flyers without the nude images, and only ones that suggested nudity, were sent to regular campgrounds around the west offering a different `clothing optional' camping experience.

April 1st was the target date for the official re-opening, but like all construction projects this one was no different and missed the target, but only by two weeks. Our new date became April 15, Camp Coconino officially reopened on Tax Day, a Monday. The ad we ran in The Arizona Republic newspaper was similar to the second flyer offering a new type of a clothing optional, camping experience with all new facilities. Phone inquiries started the day the newspaper was printed and released digitally. Other inquiries from the flyers had been coming in since they were released through other campgrounds. There were reservations that had to be pushed back till opening weekend or later. April 19-21 was the first open weekend.

All of the board members agreed to be there, for the first weekend to help orient people and direct them to whatever they were looking for. Grandma was stationed in the museum and handed out maps of camp and gave tours of the museum.

There was a marked increase in the numbers of visitors from outside our area. More mobile homes, mostly smaller, one or two bedroom units were brought in strictly as rental units to supplement the limited number of cabins. These increased camp attendance and overall revenues went up. Momma's Diner had to begin a reservation system for dinner and had a huge increase in their take-out business, perhaps due to the external take-out window. The diner's business more than doubled. The snack bar supplemented the diner by starting to carry hot dogs, hamburgers, and nachos to go with the soft drinks.

Wayland added two new ice cream venues, one inside the rec center and a cart out closer to trailer point and the tent camping area.

I finally got to see why the log cabin had three doors. The cabin was divided into two sides 40 feet of it was the Coconino Store, with one entry and exit door. The other 20 feet was the snack bar with an entry door on one end of the counter and an exit door on the other end.

The weekend went well and updates Benjie or I made to the point-of-sale system worked flawlessly.

Each family on opening weekend at registration received one Camp Coconino t-shirt for free, not that anyone would wear it in camp, but then again I was proved wrong when I spotted at least 3 kids wearing theirs around. Other shirts could be purchased then or later in the Coconino Store or at checkout. The office had a direct vent from the kitchen pumping cinnamon roll baking smells into the check-in area and as before all pastries could be purchased in the office as well as the Momma's Diner and Bakery and in The Coconino Store which still had all the normal stuff, from groceries (now including wine) to camping supplies to Camp Coconino souvenirs, which Mom was now designing. In addition to the t-shirts, several new Camp Coconino souvenirs, were trying to give teenagers things they might actually use in their bedrooms at home. The best seller was a Camp Coconino poster, it was a landscape poster with several unidentifiable, but obviously nude people and families in the picture.

All the program areas were open and the entire staff was brought in to keep everyone engaged. He even staffed the volleyball and basketball courts with organizers to keep everyone playing. There were a few new surprises. Adjacent to the indoor pool was a new tennis court complete with an instructor who gave group tennis lessons all weekend with balls and rackets provided. Next to the tennis courts were some Bocce courts, the adult courts were 13 feet wide x 91 feet long (actual regulation size), the youth courts were 10 feet x 60 feet and again a staffer was on hand to organize and teach the game. Wayland told the board that it was an all-time record weekend, better than the best Memorial Day, 4th of July or Labor Day.

It was amazing just to be there and see the sheer numbers of people moving about the camp and participating in the many games and activities.

While the camp was being rebuilt Wayland was working on the museum. He started by removing the beds. When you first enter the cottage, there was a 48" monitor that played a continuous loop of hundreds of digital images that had been donated. He rearranged things a bit dedicating one bedroom to just the Doyle Family moving all their photos in there and arranging them chronologically. In the living room he added a bookcase containing research books of Naturism and Nudism which you could take and sit in one of the two chairs to read it. Also in the living room was a computer desk with the only public internet access inside the camp.

On the walls around the kitchen table and in the second bedroom were more donated pictures in their original frames. Some were current members and I recognized some of them. Others were older, many were black and white. One I really liked was a group photo of me and the Scouts in front of the nature trail sign. Lots of Mom's photos were printed and mounted in frames for display.

The kitchen was left in its 1950's décor. The refrigerator door was open with empty food cartons from that era on display. There was a picture of Grandma cooking at her stove wearing an apron, with her bare butt hanging out the back. The kitchen cabinets were propped open too, displaying canned and boxed food from the time period. The table was set for 6 which was the most common number for the Doyles on any given weekend. The four of them and each son always brought (at least) one guest.

The second bedroom was also lined with tables for photo albums that had been donated.

You could walk through the kitchen and sit out on the patio and, if need be, you could use the restroom back there.

I met a lot of new people this weekend (as I had been encouraged to do). I would seek out the brightly colored wristbands and go up to them and introduce myself as the Youth Representative on the Board of Directors. We'd talk about the camp and things they'd like to see or do while at camp. I had been issued a camp phone this weekend and took notes using a notes app. Mostly I talked with the kids, sometimes their parents too.

As part of my task of talking with the kids, I made a point of getting into the new teen lounge. This was not a place I frequented, I usually had enough to do. But I sat with them for a few hours over a few trips in there and recorded their ideas.

They wanted to see some games aimed at their age group and wanted them inside the teen lounge, like a PlayStation and listed about a dozen games they'd like to see. That request was so obvious, I was surprised I hadn't thought of it.

They suggested a once-a-month rave with a DJ taking over the rec center for the Saturday evening.

The request that surprised me was that they wanted condoms available. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised, it's common knowledge that sex was going on. I gave away the couple I had in my shoulder bag, but not many guys carried a bag like I did.

I visited the rec center kids too, the ones not old enough for the teen lounge. Their big suggestion was a popcorn machine so they could have it during the movies. They also wanted more pinball or video games, and a karaoke system that projected the words onto a screen.

I saw Alfonse (the Golden Retriever) and his owner at the reopening, and told him I had a picture for him. I retrieved it from La Casa and he was thrilled. I told him how it won best in show, but couldn't be acknowledged because of the nudity. He asked if I had another copy, he wanted to donate this one to the museum. I assured him I would get him one, then told him to keep that one and I would get the museum a new print. We have the technology.

Mom started the Camp Coconino Photography Studio. At check-in along with several other flyers was one offering our services. The studio consisted of a notebook that Wayland or Matilda would have a few times written in that we would be available for taking pictures of guests. He also had a book with samples of our work, by far we did more natural setting portraits then inside formal sittings. We charged enough for our services to make a small profit and I added the code to the sales app for Photography Studio, Wayland could contact us through the message app on the camp phones when a customer booked our service.

Wayland appointed me as another official camp photographer. In Photoshop, I made us "official" Camp Coconino Photographer ID cards with our pictures and Wayland's signature.

Along with my new camera, I bought us a high-end photo-printer that would print up to 11" x 17" photos. The ink for this printer costs almost as much as the printer. I also bought us good quality photo paper, and the equipment to take portraits in a studio setting. Just for fun, I also got a green screen. We brought it up to camp this weekend. We could now take photos and print them overnight. I bought another license for Photoshop on my laptop and let Mom teach me how to use it. We used the camp's hidden Wi-Fi network to connect my camera to my laptop back at La Casa (my version of cloud storage) and to connect our laptops to the printer.

With the reopening of camp, we started a new tradition. Whoever went to camp as my or Logan's guest(s), had their picture taken with us. We built a pictorial guest book. Ok, so it's not a new tradition, we started using Grandma's tradition. Frequent flyers, like Jamie, Sierra, Juan, Dave, Rashon, Benjie and several of my friends went on the living room wall and in the book.

Chapter 64 – Baby Boom

We were home on Sunday night after our trip to Camp Coconino the last weekend in May 2019. The TV in the living room was on one of news shows. It was one of those Sunday night human interest news programs like "Dateline," "20/20," or "48 Hours" I wasn't paying attention to which one. These shows sometime feature unusual human interest segments which don't really qualify as what you could call news. It was at the end of the program and they had time for a quick report.

"Tonight we have this report out of Southwest Utah. River County Regional Medical center is reporting an unusual cluster of births over the past week and a half. So far, there have been 27 young women, giving only their last name as Smith or Jones and declining to provide an address, have presented themselves at the medical facility well into labor. The women, mostly appearing to be under age, gave birth to a total of 30 babies so far, including 3 sets of twins. After giving birth and being released, their bill was paid in cash and they were driven away with their baby or babies. Authorities report that all babies were healthy and the births were trouble free.

While unusual, they broke no laws withholding their home addresses from the doctors. Each baby was given a name directly from the bible. Birth certificates were filed with unknown listed as the father. Division of Child and Family Services officials would like to know more about these girls and verify that proper care of the infants is being provided.

There is speculation that the girls may be from a splinter religious group sequestered in Southwest Utah or Northern Arizona. This area of Utah/Arizona became well known when Warren Jeffs was arrested and convicted of two felony counts of child sexual assault in 2011, for which he is currently serving a life sentence plus twenty years. Jeffs' compound was located on the border of Utah and Arizona, the towns included Hildale in Utah and Colorado City in Arizona. I did the math in my head, it's been about 9 months since my project and that Monday night that we'd all like to forget.

Chapter 65 – Karma's a Bitch

One night there was a news story on one of the Phoenix TV stations: "Federal authorities arrested a local couple, Francis Bowers and his wife today and were charged with hundreds of counts of child abuse, and a litany of other charges stemming from possession, production and distribution of child pornography. An international team of law enforcement discovered the videos being sold on the dark web primarily overseas and traced the money back to the U.S. Their 16 year old daughter who is seen in many of the videos was taken into protective custody by Department of Child Safety agents and is being evaluated by psychiatrists. Her own abuse, at the hands of her mother and father, was first video recorded when she was 5 as she was being raped by her own father. After that, she was groomed to be the star of the videos.

Police around the world are now following up arresting the purchasers of the videos based on where the videos were delivered from records kept by the accused. In a coordinated raid, police and the FBI confiscated hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash stashed in the home allegedly from the illicit sales of child pornography. Along with the cash, thousands of hours of video evidence was also seized. All charges are based on video evidence and a chain of post office boxes across the country used to hide the delivery of cash from around the world. Authorities are calling this a major victory in the fight against child pornography. Next, after this break, Cindy with the weather. . . ."

"We did it Grandpa!" I said to no one in particular, except maybe Grandpa.

The End.
