I am a firefighter/paramedic. The characters portrayed are loosely based on fellow firefighters and paramedics I have worked with over the years. The names have been changed to protect the "closeted". Thank you all for the wonderful feedback from part one. I will state, I am a firefighter, not a scholar. I work hard every day trying to help other people. I am a paid career firefighter and I volunteer for another fire department, so I have very little free time. I decided to write these stories in that little bit of time. I am sorry for any spelling or grammatical errors that you may find. I usually write these stories around 2 or 3 in the morning after working a 24 hour shift and in between volunteering, so I am tired and my contact lenses are normally getting on my nerves. So, I apologize for any mistakes. Please leave me feedback at: firejock_15@yahoo.com Life at the firehouse had been busy these last few weeks. An arsonist had been running around our city, keeping us all very busy. I walked into the firehouse, coffee in hand and Brad right behind me. Brad had moved in with me and we traveled back and forth to work together. I walked through the kitchen and into the lounge, really not feeling like being at work today. I figured I deserved a day to rest and relax at work, so I settled back into the recliner and turned on the TV. The overnight crew was out on a fire alarm call, and my crew was just starting to get there. The last thing I needed was to have a busy day. We had six second alarm fires in the last 4 days, we were all tired. I started to fall asleep in the chair. The next thing I know, I felt a hand gently shaking my shoulder. I looked up and saw the Chief of our Department looking down at me with a worried look on his face. "Lou, we need to talk." I got up from my chair and followed the Chief up to my office. "Jeff, you know we have been having this rush of big fires lately, and we're still looking for the arsonist who is setting them. We think we know who it is, but the suspect is a firefighter." "My God Chief, it isn't one of my guys is it?" I gasped. "No, its not one of yours, but we need your help to try to clear this one." "Anything I can do to help, I will" I said. "Well, first of all, you can tell me about this little romance I keep hearing about." I felt my face get hot, I knew I was blushing. "I hear you are involved with one of the firefighters." I thought I was going to get my ass chewed. I started to try to answer, but I just could not make the words come out. The Chief started laughing," I bet its that really cute young blonde isn't it. Damn, why do they always send the cute young ones to your station, I could have used a new Chiefs Aide." Had I just heard the Chief right, had he just admitted something. "Well Chief, I guess it's luck, and season tickets to the Penn State games for the staffing coordinator in your office" I chuckled. "I always knew there was something fishy about that guy, he can be bought, I will have to remember that" the Chief laughed. "I will be in touch with you about the arson investigation." The Chief left and I returned to my recliner, settling back in for a good nap. I heard the bells in the station start ringing. "Station 13, Engine 4, Engine 7, Engine 12, Truck 6, Truck 17, Rescue 1, Rescue 4, Battalion 3, Battalion 6, Chief 2 respond, 2375 North 7th Street for a Commercial Structure Fire." I slowly got out of my recliner and walked to the engine. "Engine 13, Lieutenant 2 responding." I said into the microphone. "Lieutenant 2, Engine 13 caller reported a small explosion on the second floor. Caller reported that there was fire all around his office and then the phone went dead. No answer on call back." As we rounded the corner, I knew it was going to be a very busy day. "Engine 13, Lieutenant 2 on scene with a 5 story commercial brick building with heavy fire showing from all windows on side alpha and delta. Give me a second alarm, have the first engine in hit the hydrant and lay in to our engine, first truck start search and rescue." I shouted. I looked over my shoulder and Brad already had the high rise hose pack off of the engine and was waiting for me at the front door. My driver was hooking up the stand pipe connection that would allow us to pump water into a pipeline that went through the building. Brad and I started up the stairs and onto the second floor landing. I quickly unscrewed the cap from the stand pipe and attached the hose line. I yelled over my radio for our driver to charge the stand pipe. Brad was the first through the door. We were met with heavy fire and we were initially pushed back into the stairway by the intense heat and heavy fire. By now, there was a second crew coming up the steps with a backup hose line. Together we were able to make our way onto the fire floor and start pushing the fire back. We made it the whole way to the main fire room and started giving the fire hell. More crews were showing up and we were really knocking the crap out of the fire. I had heard on the radio that there were crews battling fires on the third and fourth floors as well. I was starting to get a little tired, and it was then that I noticed that the low air alarm bell on my air pack had started to ring. I tapped Brad on the shoulder and he followed me down the hallway and outside. I walked over to the engine and started to take my air pack off. The Chief walked up to me, "This is a pretty intense fire, I bet it had a little bit of help." "It sure as hell had something," I said, "that fire was way too hot and way too intense." "Looks like we got another arson on our hands." the Chief exclaimed. Well after about 3 hours we had finally gotten everything under control and our engine crew was ready to leave. I jumped up into the officers seat of the engine an we headed back to the station. We almost made it back to the station before we were dispatched to an automatic fire alarm at one of our local senior citizen high-rise buildings. After heroically dashing into the smoke filled apartment and pulling the still smoldering bag of popcorn out of the microwave, we headed to the station again. I walked into the locker room, grabbed my stuff, and headed straight into the shower room. The others were right behind me. "Damn Lou, you guys really worked your butts off up on that second floor," Dave said. "Yeah, we did, and our little rookie did one hell of a job too" I said. I looked over and I could see Brad blushing. When he blushed, he blushed all over, and I mean ALL OVER. I had to look away, I didn't want to get myself all excited in the shower with three other guys in there with us. I finished my shower and walked out to the locker room, grabbing a handful of beautiful rookie ass on my way past Brad. I dried off and got dressed, then back to my recliner. Dave started to make dinner and Charlie was helping him. Brad was sitting in a recliner across from me, looking over at me with that gorgeous smile on his face. "What?" I whispered. Brad didn't answer, he just kept smiling. I drifted off to sleep. I awoke to the wonderful smell of fresh home made spaghetti. We finished our dinner and I went up to my office to finish the paperwork and try to get some real sleep. The Lieutenants office is a two room office with the main room housing a computer desk and a chair. The second room is the officers bunkroom meant for one Lieutenant and one Captain. Our station did not have a Captain on our shift, so the bunkroom was all mine. I quickly finished my paperwork and stripped down to my boxers. I laid down and was asleep almost immediately. You know that feeling you get when someone is watching you, well all of a sudden I got that feeling. I rolled over and there was Brad, sitting on the other bunk. "I love you sexy." Brad said. "I love you too baby, but what are you doing in here?" That was all I had time to say before Brad leapt on top of me and started kissing me. I knew where this was going, and I was not sure that I wanted this to happen in the firehouse. I started to protest, but his mouth was working its way down my chest and once his lips found my nipple, I forgot about everything else. He sucked and played with my nipples for a while before moving his way down my belly and onto the front of my boxers. He gently licked and sucked at the front of my boxers until I was almost begging him to take them off. He grabbed the waistband of my boxers and I raised my hips to help him out. With one smooth movement he had yanked my boxers off and taken me the whole way into his mouth. I knew I would not last long. He was expertly working my hard cock. I propped myself up on my elbows so I could watch him take me the whole way into his mouth and then let me slide back out. I couldn't take it anymore, I could feel the heat building up at the base of my balls and soon I felt the surge of hot liquid gush through my dick. Brad hungrily swallowed it all. "That was fucking awesome", Dave said, clapping as he walked further into the office. "What the fuck are you doing?" I hollered, "When did you come into the office?" "I was wondering where the rookie went, guess I found out!" Dave said "Damn, that was really hot, you guys feel up to a little more fun tonight?" Well, I was always ready for fun, and Dave is a really hot guy, but I was not sure how Brad would feel about everything, and I wasn't really sure if I wanted to share Brad with anyone else. I know it could have been a really hot time, but I didn't think I would be able to watch Brad sucking some other guys dick, or worse yet, getting fucked by someone else. "Not really", Brad said "I don't like to share." "Ok, but if you two ever want to have some fun, you let me know." And with that Dave walked out of the office. "Thank you", I whispered into Brad's ear. "For what?" He said. "I really didn't want to picture you with another guy. I was going to say no, but you beat me too it." "I know you had been helping Dave out every once in a while, but you are mine now, and I am not going to share you with anyone, at least not yet." Dave said. I kissed Brad and he snuggled into the bunk with me. I woke up to the station intercom buzzing, "Lou, someone is here to see you." I got up, trying not to disturb the angel who was sleeping beside me. Brad only briefly lifted his head. I quickly threw on my pants and shirt and walked out into the office, closing the door to the bunkroom. In walked Battalion Chief Patrick Rourke, a tall, very well built, and very attractive man. I knew what my mother had seen in him, he was quite a catch, even at his age. "Morning son" "Good morning pop, what brings you to my little corner of the world?" I asked. "Well, I am starting my inspection tour of the stations and I figured I would start with yours, If that is ok with you." "Anytime, my guys are always ready." I said. "Well, I am going to go down to the diner to get some breakfast before I start, would you care to come along?" Dad asked. "Sure, I will meet you down there, do you mind if Brad comes along?" I asked. "You better bring my son-in-law along, I don't get to see you two enough." With that dad left the office and I returned to the bunkroom to wake up Brad. I leaned down and kissed him on the lips. "Good morning baby", I whispered. Brad flashed that smile, and I knew he was awake. "We need to get ready, we have to meet pop at the diner." "Ok, let me get dressed." Brad got dressed, and we walked down to the engine room. My replacement lieutenant was walking in the door. "Good morning, just so you know, it's inspection day", I said. "Great thanks", was all I heard him mutter as Brad and I walked out of the station and got into my truck. We pulled up at the diner and dad was inside flirting with the waitress, as usual. "How can you sit here and flirt when you have a beautiful wife and those 7 kids at home, and little Billy is only 6 years old?" I scorned, smiling from ear to ear. Dad shot me a wide grin and we all started laughing hysterically. "Well, what have my two sons been up to lately, since I haven't seen them for so long?" "Ok pop, we get it, we've been very busy. You know how hard it is to be a lieutenant in our department. I'm always working and Brad is always being the best boyfriend ever, so we're extremely busy", I said. "Jeff, you know about the arsonist?" Dad asked. "Yeah, I know, I already talked to the Chief about it." I said. "We found a lot of evidence at this last fire. I think we finally have enough to arrest this guy." Dad said. "That's great, I hope they arrest him before he strikes again." Brad said. That was when dads pager and my pager both started going off. A lot of firefighters, both volunteer and paid, carry pagers issued by the department. They go off like a regular pager, but then they transmit the voice of the dispatcher. "County to all stations, now striking a third alarm assignment. 1487 North Lincoln Way for multiple residential structures on fire. Engine 5, Engine 9, Engine 17, Engine 22, Engine 45, Engine 50, Truck 7, Truck 12, Truck 34, Rescue 4, Rescue 5, Rescue 7, Battalion 1, Battalion 2, Battalion 7, Chief 2, Chief 3, Field Com Unit 1, Collapse Unit 4 respond. All available Officers and Firefighters respond for recall." All three of us ran out of the diner and jumped into dads truck. After a quick stop at the firehouse to grab our gear we were on our way to the fire. Dad was obviously having way to much fun with the red lights and sirens in his truck. I grab the microphone and called county. "County, Chief 3 responding, Lieutenant 2 and 1 firefighter for recall on board." "Ok Chief 3, 1487 North Lincoln Way. You have 6 row homes on fire, 4 heavily involved, Chief 7 requested the third alarm. You are to assume incident command upon your arrival." "Chief 3 copies." I said. We pulled up to see 4 row homes fully engulfed in flames and fire raging through at least 3 more. I jumped out and ran to the incident command post. Chief 7 told me to take interior command on the west end of the fire and try to get it stopped before it spread. I grabbed an air pack and ran to the west end. I quickly followed a hose line into the burning house and found the crew. They told me what was going on and I started looking around the house to see how we could stop this fire from spreading. I knew we would have to sacrifice the house next door to save the other 6 houses farther down the row. "Command from interior west." I called into my radio. "Go ahead Lou." I heard my father say. "We are gonna have to sacrifice the next house to save the rest. I need truck crews to the roof to make a trench cut. I'm pulling the crews out of this house and moving them next door. This house is getting unsafe." I screamed into my radio. "Command copy, Truck 34, Rescue 5 get to the roof and make those cuts, NOW!" I heard dad scream. "Ok guys lets get the hell out of this house." I turned around when nobody answered me. I started screaming for the crew to answer me. I looked around and couldn't see anything. I found the hoseline again and tried to follow it to the crew. I went up the stairs and rounded the corner onto the landing. It was then that I noticed a large pile of burning debris laying on top of the hose. I screamed into my radio, "Command from interior west, mayday, mayday, I need a truck in service to the second floor front windows. We have a partial collapse on the second floor, I can't find my crew." "Command copy, County sound the evacuation tones, all units get out of the houses. Truck 34, Rescue 5, get in service. All available crews get to the west end of the structure and assist with rescue operations." I was really starting to get upset now. I couldn't find my guys, I couldn't get through the pile of debris, and now that the hose was laying under a pile of burning debris, it was useless and the fire was getting worse because of it. I heard the rescue crews coming up the steps with another hose line. I also heard Truck 34 going into service and raising their ladder to the second floor windows. I started digging through the pile of burning rubble. I could feel the fire burning my hands and my legs as I was kneeling in it. I didn't care. I want to get my guys out. "Lou, we got your back, what do you need?" "Start soaking down this pile, just drench it." I screamed. "You got it" was all I heard before I felt the water rushing over me. I was getting soaked now, but it actually felt really good. Al least the burning in my legs was starting to go away. We started making progress and were finally able to get over the pile and down the hallway. I met the crew from Truck 34 in the hallway outside of the front bedroom. "You find em?" I asked. "Not yet, we're gonna check this room." "Ok, I'm gonna try to get into the other room." I said. I made it to the door and their was a pile of burning wood and other debris in front of it. I tried to move it, but there was something really heavy in there. I backed away from the door and grabbed a crew to help. We worked together and were finally able to move what we later found out was an old heavy wooden dresser that had fallen through from the third floor. We went inside and there they were, cramped in the corner of the bathtub, trying to cover each other to keep from burning. "Soak em down, and get em the hell out of here." I screamed. "Command, Get EMS to Truck 34, we got two victims, both firefighters. They are coming down now." "Command Copy" I backed out of the bathroom and quickly went downstairs and out to truck 34. As I came out of the house I saw them lifting the two firefighters off of the ladder and onto the ambulance litters. "Jeff, Jeff, are you ok, what the hell happened." Brad yelled as he came running over. "I'm ok." I said. Dad came running over and grabbed me, hugging me to him. It was then that I noticed the pain. I felt a rush of white hot pain run up from my legs and into my chest. That was the last thing I felt. "Get a second line in him." "Run that ringers wide open." "Cut those bunker pants off, just be very careful." "Call Memorial Hospital, let them know what we are coming in with" I was hearing bits and pieces of things, but nothing was making sense to me. Where was I? What was going on? I heard sirens, and more voices hollering back and forth. I woke up as the paramedics were rolling me into the emergency room on the litter. "What do you got?" I heard a voice ask. " 28 year old male firefighter, appears to be second degree burns to his legs and thighs, first and second degree burns to his hands and arms, we got a 16 gauge with ringers on the left side and a 16 gauge with NS on the right both open wide." "Get him into trauma room one." Again I slipped into the blackness. To be continued
