The weather had been unseasonably warm and sunny, so the rain was our reminder that we lived in a northern climate. It was a mixed blessing since it put our maple syrup project back a few days, yet provided the needed moisture for its success. Pete spent half the day on Monday covering the buckets, ensuring we wouldn't be collecting rain water. He got out there early enough to beat the rain in most cases, and was happy to report that more than a few buckets had already collected sap. The humidity also meant that the flooring project was on hold for a day or two. Derek was more than happy to pick up the pizza and join us for our weekly Antiques Roadshow fix, since the weather made it impossible for the floor finish to dry safely. Putski quickly ran inside, avoiding the raindrops was his main accomplishment for the night. Fred found the perfect spot on the porch to enjoy the weather. The deep overhang on the front meant he could lounge about watching the rain. If stress was a major contributing factor to his mild heart attack, the rain washed that away. Jeff joined him during his break on the mail route. They both felt solace in the sound of the rain. It was during those moments with Jeff that Fred's vision for the porch came together. Micah loved the rain. He was swamped already with income tax season, so the rain meant he could focus on his work without distractions. As a young accountant, he was experiencing his best tax season ever. His own taxes the next year would reflect the increased income. Jason saw no benefit in the rain. In an effort to increase police visibility in the West Duluth area, the captain had him walking a beat three days a week. Last week it was fine, but the city issued rain slicker was not comfortable and it hid his features which had been the starting point for conversations with many a woman last week. The rain also meant that it would be a few more weeks until he could use the Wheeler softball fields. If there was one thing Jason loved almost as much as his wife, it was softball. Being out with the guys, playing a sport he liked, being physical with other men. Sure some of the men distracted him, Captain for instance, but the camaraderie he felt offered a connection with men that was acceptable. Being out in the rain walking the beat, with his favorite outlet still a few weeks off, forced Jason to think about the email he got from his father-in-law. Just what did he have to talk about that he couldn't mention in his email? Worse, Patrick hadn't replied or phoned back yet. I distinctly remember that every one of my friends had major cabin fever when I called them on Tuesday to remind them of our usual Happy Hour get together. I even convinced Micah that he should join us at the bar. He had been at my office, going over taxes, and he looked more than a little stressed. I called Pete and told him I'd meet him at the bar, then helped Micah finalize my taxes. By the time we were done, he was able to put one client's work to bed. I could see him relax as we left my office. The rain was still falling as we drove down the hill. There was a beauty in seeing the city lights in the rain. The vast lake melded with the sky, there was no delineation, no horizon line. As I drove I hoped that Micah was seeing that beauty, instead of focusing on all of his remaining clients. A simple burger with friends might help him regain that focus. I had to park my car a bit farther away than usual. I waited for Micah to park, then we walked to the bar. A handsome young policeman nodded to us as we entered the bar. Most of the usual crew was there except the Charlie, Angelo, Fred and Jeff who had told me they might be late. Ever the businessman, Micah corralled Mike right away, asking him how his business taxes were going. I could see from the look on Mike's face that he was not too happy with the situation. Micah quickly slipped him a business card which Mike put in his wallet. Derek and Justin were talking to Pete about something in hushed voices. I was sure that if I needed to know what the conversation was about, Pete would inform me. I guess the person that surprised me the most by his presence was Rodney. We hadn't seen each other since the wrestling match. He was quietly nursing a beer, so I joined him. "What's up my friend?" I asked him. "Just taking it easy. Looking forward to summer and the end of this rain" was his reply. He leaned in and in his low deep voice said "This shit is making me horny. I need a piece of ass soon." "Gotta look elsewhere my friend. Pete and I have made a pact." I didn't tell him about the hall pass, he didn't need to know. "Yeah I heard you went through a rough patch. Lots of things have happened lately. I guess I fell out of the loop. I miss you guys." I had missed Rodney too. Part of me missed his sexiness. Damn he had a way about him that went right to my dick. But his humor and warmth were the main reasons I had missed him. "Buddy, you know your friends are always here for you. You got our numbers, we're always open for a visitor." "But fuck, I don't know where I fit in anymore. Everyone I know is pairing up. Even my buddy Justin is with Derek. Hey is it true Derek is Pete's son? "Yep, he even calls me Dad. Never thought that would happen." I looked at Rodney. "So buddy, be honest. Even if you found the right person, if it was a man, could you commit?" He looked up, mulled it over for a minute. "Ummm... I dunno... I'd like to think if I fell in love with someone... But shit... I like playing the field while I still can." The waitress Julie stopped by our table. "Boys, this crowd is usually more boisterous, what's up guys?" Pete looked up. "Just waiting on our friends, then we can order and hopefully not be too loud." Everyone laughed as Pete motioned for another round while we waited for the boys. Our individual conversations went by the wayside as we started to connect with others. Just then the Policeman from earlier entered the bar. He stood at the entrance and shook the rain off his slicker. "Hey Jason" Julie yelled. "What are you? Some kind of wet dog?" "That's the kind of thanks I get for making this neighborhood safe? The least you could do is make me a cup of coffee." "Make sure he pays for it Julie" Mike yelled. "You can't trust that guy when he's not on a softball field. Of course you can't trust him on a softball field." The laughter in the bar got to Jason. "Well at least I can get around a softball field OLD MAN. Are you gonna play this year or have they banned walkers from the diamond?" "I'll have you know that my team here is gonna whoop your ass. What you call OLD I call experience." "What you call experience I call senior league. Are you sure they are going to let you out of the home each Wednesday? Will your softball pants fit over your Depends?" Pete stood. "Now buddy. I don't know who the hell you are, but when you insult one of us, you insult all of us. I'll have you know that Mike is much too cheap to buy Depends. He just steals your diapers." Everyone in the bar laughed, including Jason. He walked over to our table to join us. "Might as well take my break here" he said. "Fucking Captain got a bug up his ass and wants me to walk a beat in this rain." He opened his jacket to reveal a snug fitting uniform shirt. Jason definitely was easy on the eye. And when he pushed back the slicker, and grabbed his wallet, he revealed an ass that matched. "Dayum" Rodney whispered to me. "That's what I'm talking `bout." "You know Jason, you could come over to the dark side and join our team" Mike said. "If the Captain gets you that upset at work, you don't need him being your coach in softball too." Jason thought about it for a moment. "I complain about the Captain, but... I guess he is just trying to make me a better cop. Besides what am I supposed to do, can`t fuck up at work, I got a baby boy on the way." "Shit buddy, If you weren't working I'd buy you a beer. Congrats!" Mike patted Jason's back. Hey boys, let's drink to Jason Junior." Mike raised his mug as we joined in toasting Jason. "As much as I'd like that, Ashley has already determined that he will be named Patrick after her father. And you know what they say. Happy wife, happy life." "Yeah that's true" Mike said. "For the most part" he looked at Pete and me and winked. Before long Jason had to get back to work. Rodney muttered another "Dayum" as he walked out. "Like that huh?" I said. "That's just my type, too bad he's straight and married. But if he ever wanted to cuff me..." "Snap out of it buddy" I said "Your dick is showing." I looked down at the hard-on that inched down the right leg of his pants. For a moment I regretted our pact as I remembered how much fun I had sharing him with Pete. But I didn't want anything to complicate our relationship. I looked over at Pete who was talking quietly with Micah. He looked up at me and smiled, gave me a wink. Yep, Pete was all I needed. A few minutes later the farmhouse boys entered the bar and joined our table. Our group was finally complete. I am always apprehensive in situations like this, so seeing them finally put me at ease. "Boss, with help from Jeff I got all the cabinets completed" Fred smiled as he continued. "Just have to wait for the weather to break so I can apply the finish. Pete and Charlie have all the rough plumbing and electrical work done. I wanna get this remodel back on track. Oh, and I stepped on the scale, I lost five pounds" I was worried that work was going to be tough for Fred as he recovered, but the guy who just updated me looked as healthy as he ever had if not better. I stood to hug him. "You're making me proud brother." "If you're proud now, wait `til you see me on the softball field. I'll be the best first baseman you've ever known." "Impossible Fred. That's the position my Dad played." I choked up at the last words. "Okay, I will shoot for second best. That would be an honor." "You should have been in here earlier Fred. A cop was talking trash about softball, but Mike and Pete set him right" Justin added. "I can't wait `til we play them later on this year. Maybe we should bring some donuts." That got a huge laugh from all of us, especially Mike. "Justin, I knew I liked you for some reason." "Now this is the rambunctious crew I know" Julie said as she delivered our burgers. Julie was right. Our energy level was up the rest of the night. Micah stayed longer than he wanted, but since he didn't drink I knew he would still be alert the next morning. The farmhouse guys update Mike on their progress. I could see that Jeff had a thing for Mike, but who could blame him. Even Justin and Rodney chatted for a bit. Derek showed either no signs of jealousy, or was unaware of their brief fling. I was hoping for the former. Pete and Derek finally pulled me aside. "Why didn't you tell me about your upcoming birthday?" Pete said. "How did you find out?" "I have my ways. I can assume you want to keep it quiet huh?" I nodded. "I can trust you guys. To be honest, it's the reason I set the kitchen deadline for early May." I looked to Derek. "Don't take this personally, but I am planning for a small party to celebrate. Just Pete and I. I am trying to think of an excuse to get the other guys out of the house for a night." "I understand, we always do things together. Sometimes you just need time alone with your man. I get it. Maybe I can help you with that." Derek was Pete son. Every day I saw more evidence of that. I stood to hug Derek. "Thanks man" "Anytime Dad. Well almost anytime. I gotta get Justin home. Between our jobs I won't see him much the next couple of days. I gotta give him something to remember me by." With their goodbyes, the group started to break up. For once Pete and I weren't the last ones there. "Can't let my son show me up" he whispered. "See ya back at our house Babe." Micah followed me out to our cars. "I think I got Mikes accounts for next year. Thanks for making me part of your group. It's about the extent of my social life. Do you think the guys would want me to join the team?" "I have no doubt Micah. Just tell me you play in the field, because that's what the team needs." "Right Center. I have a strong arm and hit pretty well too." He got quiet. "I don't know if you noticed, but I am pretty shy, but I'm in my element on the ball field." I hugged my big shy sexy friend. My hand flicked over the angle wings of black hair that sprouted on the nape of his neck. I flashed back to my dream earlier in the year then thought how Pete was going to benefit from the horniness I was feeling right then. "Thanks" he said opening his car door. "I'm not always sure how I fit in with your group. But thanks for including me." I gave Micah a quick hug before he got in his car, then waved at him as he drove off. My ride home from the bar was calming. To me the rain was welcomed. For months sand and road salt had been accumulating, the rain was washing away the evidence. Grand Avenue almost lived up to its name for a few sections, sparkling in the rain. My soundtrack for the trip was Steely Dan's classic album Aja. Deacon Blues came on, so I cranked it. Years ago it was my go-to tune when I needed a good cry. I never knew why the song was so personal, it just always was. But that night I understood. I sang along at full volume, not worried about critical reception from passengers. The music was the perfect counterpart to the rain, bright, in a neon light way. The underlying darkness matched the rain and the night sky. By the time I turned off Grand towards our street I started to tear up as always. But this time the lines "This brother is free I'll be what I want to be" were the impetus. I knew in all of this I had finally found my home sweet home, and I was going home to the arms that created that home. These were happy tears inspired by those arms. Pete was waiting at the door. "What's wrong Babe?" The raindrops didn't hide my teardrops. "Not a thing Pete, everything is right, especially you." Pete hugged me. "Yeah that's all I need Babe" I told him. "I know" he said. "All night at the bar I was anxious to get home and have my way with you. But by the time I got home tonight all I could think about was holding you. Does this mean the honeymoon's over?" "It's just beginning. We're just so in sync that we know what each other needs, and right now all I need is your touch." "I got the sauna going, let's go relax for a bit, continue this down there." I followed Pete downstairs where we continued the hug as we helped each other out of our wet clothes. I kissed the man I loved while undressing him. My own strong hands brushed over skin as it was revealed. I played with the fur that traveled up his spine, the stubble on his head. One hand massaged my shoulder, the other my butt. "Let's grab our spot Babe" he finally said. I followed that man, that ass into the sauna. Then I realized something. It was five months ago to the day that I was pulled out of a snowstorm and into Pete's warm home, and life. I wondered if he knew. He sat on the top spot, in the corner, his back to the wall. He spread his legs, then opened his arms. Come home Babe." I fell back into his arms, he hugged me tightly. "Five months Babe" he whispered then kissed my ear. Yes we were in sync or as he had put it almost a month ago, hard wired for each other. He silently held me. I could feel his biceps flex as he rhythmically grasped me tighter. His breath hit my neck at just the right spot, the rigid dick that was pulsing against my lower spine completed the circuit. I started to caress the arms that were holding me. The only way I can put it is I hugged the hugger. I felt his warmth there, it wasn't the sauna; it was Pete. "Yeah I feel it too" Pete said, kissing my neck, my hot spot. "When you gave me your ass five months ago, I didn't realize you gave me your heart too. Tonight all I need is your heart." Pete's hand thumped my chest to illustrate what he meant. "Keep this up and you'll get more" I said. I was getting slick with sweat as we sat in the sauna. Pete's hands raked through my wet fur as he held me, his dick slid up and down my crack. "Sorry Babe, I thought I just needed your arms." "No need to be sorry Pete, I want exactly what you want." I hoisted myself up, then placed Pete's dick at my hole. My eyes rolled back as his sweat-slick dick entered my ass. I slowly let him fill me as I sat down completely on it. "Yeah" he growled "Hold it there. My man, giving himself to me. That young man with a crush on Ivan is gone. The Kyle I am making love to is all man." Pete started to grind his cock into me slowly, lovingly. I responded by rolling my inner ass muscles over his dick. "I got the best man in Duluth, hell, the best in the world. How'd I get so lucky?" "You pulled an idiot out of the snow and turned him into a man Pete." "That man was always there, we've just done a good job of making each other better men." Pete had his point. It went beyond our love and the sex. We both were better with our friends and now family as we complimented each other. In five months my circle of friends grew. Many of them I knew intimately, but none more intimately than the man who was loving me at that moment. "Getting too hot babe. Let's continue this upstairs" He said. I was also getting too hot, so reluctantly I pulled off him. I turned, leaned forward and kissed my man, softly, quietly, then pulled him off his perch. We slowly walked upstairs, arm in arm. I let my left hand wander down and feel his ass, that ass that had been my ideal for all these years. I grabbed a cheek. I felt his muscles move as he walked. "Yeah it's yours, but not tonight" he said. "I know, but I it's mine forever, that's all that matters." He pulled me into the master bedroom then pushed me back towards the bed. I fell backwards as Pete lifted my legs. My butt was right at the edge of the bed. He got down on his haunches as he drew his beard over my hole. His tongue darted out to taste me. "Yours was the first, and still tastes the best" he said, then went back to rimming me. "I'm still amazed at how much I need you Kyle" he said in between licks. "All those hot men at the bar tonight, and you come home to me. I saw you looking at a few of them, that Policeman for instance. But nothing matched the look you gave me." Pete knew me so well. Yes Jason caught my eye, and seeing Rodney again upped the ante, but nothing matched the man who was licking my butt right then. "Only you Pete. You're the only man there that fulfills me completely. Now just fuck me." "On my terms Babe" Pete said then got up. "Lay down, scoot over. Yeah that's it. That's my man's beautiful ass. My hugs aren't over tonight. I gotta hold ya while I fill ya." Pete got behind me then slowly nudged his dick into me. When he bottomed out he maneuvered so his arms were around me. I once more grasped his strong arms with my own as I hugged the hugger. His lips brushed over my neck as he started a slow rhythm. This wasn't about getting off, this was connection. "You're even more handsome than the day I met you, stronger too." He felt my gut. "I always knew there was muscles lurking there, starting to feel them, but promise me you'll never lose these" he said feeling my love handles. "How can I lose them with your cooking babe?" "And your butt, still the hottest one out there." He reached down with one hand to feel the spot where his dick entered my butt, slid one finger in alongside it. "The fact that it's mine is all I need to know." "Forever Babe. Now show me by filling it." "You need it huh? I don't want this to end." "D'ya remember how I filled you up the night we got back together and just kept going? Do that, I need that." "For you, anything" Pete said, then really started to fuck me. The gentleness was still there, but the urgency was ratcheted up a few notches. "Oh damn Kyle, I used to worry that I waited too long to fall in love. But I am glad I waited for you." Pete's breaths started to get short, I knew he was close, so I drew it out of him. I felt him cumming, filling me up. "That's it Babe. Yeah your lover needs this." I pulled him closer as his cock continued to spurt in my ass. I loved the warmth that every part of him was giving me. His dick was still in me as he returned to the hugging that started the night out. "It was great to see the guys tonight. I can only wish that more of our friends find their own somebody Kyle. Someone to make them as happy as you make me." Pete slowly started to grind into me again as my heartbeat slowed. I loved the shelter I felt in his arms. The rain on the roof was our background music. ******************** Just then Jason was in his police car down by the Hallet dock. His shift was over in a few minutes so he decided to take the long route back to the station. This place held special memories for Jason. He would take high school girlfriends down there to make out. There were enough secluded places to park the car, see a bit of the harbor and nature, then see how far he could get. He even got his first blow job, though now he realized how amateur it was. As rain created its lulling rhythm on the squad car, Jason thought of subsequent blow jobs. No matter how much he tried to think of women in such situations he always came back to the same realization, he preferred blow jobs from men. Hell, he gave better blow jobs than any woman he knew, Ashley included. In the squad car that night he was thinking of two men, Mike, and the black man at his table. He didn't catch the guy's name, but he caught everything else. He noticed the strong thighs, firm ass and thick lips. FUCK! Jason thought, "I'd like those lips on my dick." He felt the bulge in his uniform pants. "It's secluded here. Why not" he thought to himself. Jason unbuckled his pants and pulled out his eight inches. "Yeah, suck it" he thought to himself as he started to stroke his cock. "You too Mike, play with my ass." Much to his surprise, Jason said the last part out loud. Damn, Mike looked great tonight. As much as Jason hated to admit it, he had a thing for Mike ever since he saw him on the ball field. He had joked tonight about how old Mike was, but he could only hope to be that hot at Mike's age. Jason took full advantage of the solitude by unbuttoning his uniform shirt, and pushing his pants down his thighs. His right hand grasped his rigid dick and started stroking again. Pre-cum was oozing out as he thought about the two men in the bar. His hairy butt felt great on the seat of the squad car. His hole spasmed as he jacked his dick. The index finger of his left hand played with his hole. "Yeah Mike" he said, again surprised he said it out loud. The finger went in, his cock oozed more juice. "Taste it buddy" he said to his black fantasy man. Jason gathered some juice on his own thumb and brought it to his tongue. Damn he tasted good, why doesn't Ashley like this? Jason went back to stroking his dick with one hand, and frigging his ass with the other. "Yeah Mike, FUCK" he growled as he added another finger to his butt. Up to this point Jason had always fantasized about blow jobs when he thought of another man, but that night he suddenly wanted a man to fuck him. "Fuck Mike, give me that dick. Oh Yeah BUDDY, give me that black sausage, shove it down my throat, SPLIT ROAST ME." Jason's jacking hand was a blur on his dick as he thought about the two strong men using him. He stretched, pushed a third finger into his butt, and then started to jet off. Cum flew into his open mouth as he came. What didn't hit his mouth covered his chest and stomach. He sat there as his dick slowly deflated, scooping up the cum and tasting it, savoring it. Ashley protested that she didn't like it, what the hell was wrong with her he thought. When he had cleaned himself up enough, he started to make himself presentable. A light flashed through the trees from the nearby shipping dock office as Jason started the car. He got back to the station in time to fill out paper work before the end of this uneventful shift. Then he headed home to his wife. As he parked his truck, his cell phone rang. It was Patrick. He hesitated for a minute, gained his composure, and then hit the talk button. "Hey Patrick, what's up? He said nonchalantly." "Jason, I've been putting this off, but there is something we really need to talk about, in private."
