There is a complete story ending as usual with a list of my previously published stories. Previously About 40 minutes after he arrived back there was a loud knock on their door. Robert looked at his watch. Lucas never forgot his keys and his class didn't end for another 15 minutes. He opened the door to find a woman in her forties, well dressed, with an expensive haircut staring at him. "Are you the Malenfant kid?" The tone of voice was offensive as were her words. Could he smell alcohol on her breath? "Yes, I am Robert Malenfant." "You are the deviant who is leading my son astray! I want to speak to my son about not coming home for Thanksgiving and some other things as well." "Your son is my roommate. Lucas has a fairly full day. He is at a lecture and then we have a scheduled hockey practice with our team at the arena soon after his lecture is finished." As he was talking, he checked his pocket. His phone and keys were there. He stepped outside the room and closed the door. He heard the lock click. OK, he had her out of the room. Be calm, think Robert, find a solution, the simplest if there is nothing else. His papa's word echoed in his head. "Mrs. Stephenson perhaps a cup of coffee or tea in the lounge downstairs. The coffee and tea are quite good and we can wait for Lucas there. Ii is more comfortable than our room." Present They arrived in the lounge and he made a fresh pot of coffee. He served it to Mrs. Stephenson in a stoneware mug and offered her milk, cream or sugar. As she was preparing her coffee, he saw the time on his phone. The lecture was over and Lucas should be out by now. Lucas picked up immediately. Why change their routine? Robert spoke in fairly quick French. "You called me to come to the Pub the other night. It is your turn, the lounge at the residence, NOW. Your mother turned up at our door and I am not certain but I think that I could smell something on her breath. She is drinking coffee now in the lounge with me." The bugger, he heard a chuckle. "So now you meet my mother. I am sure that she was calm, logical and pleasant." "Get here as quickly as you can; I have managed to restrain myself so far." "Right, now I know that it is my mother, not an imposter. I'll run over. I need the exercise." "I told her about the practice which we must go to." Another chuckle. "I am glad that you find this amusing. I have to admit it is a bit out of the ordinary. Life with you has become very interesting. Luckily, I like interesting." He put his phone back in his pocket. Mrs. Stephenson with narrowed eyes. "So you force my son to speak French as well." With sweetness in his voice, "I don't force your son to do anything! Not a thing!" He paused to let that sink in. "He was impressed that I was bilingual. Since he was in French Immersion, I suggested that it would be interesting for him and me to speak French together and he agreed. He has become very fluent in the last months. We automatically speak French to each other all the time. He is enjoying it. With my Papa's side of the family, he spoke continuously in French over Thanksgiving." She glowered at him. Ignoring that, "I hope that coffee is good. I have tried it and liked it." No reply. She drank her coffee in silence. Obviously waiting for her son. He felt really sorry for Lucas as he now knew how he must feel with her, uneasy, being judged all the time, disrespected. It was not a healthy atmosphere. He was proud of his guy for living with this for so long. He heard the foot steps and the shortness of breath seconds before Lucas came in. Lucas had obviously thought this through. "I guess my lucky week. Dad on Saturday and now my mother this week. Glad to see you and welcome to the campus." Robert was just holding back his laughter. This was the new Lucas, charming, thoughtful and very savvy. "Why were you not home for Thanksgiving?" No time for small talk. "Why did I never have one call from you or dad after I moved all my stuff by myself and drove myself to the campus? No phone call to see how I was doing. Then no mention of Thanksgiving from either you or Dad. Hmm. Was that a message to me?" Robert thought a great deflection, right to the point. "How dare you speak to me like that?" "Of course, it is all right for YOU to call me disgusting every day, give me one word answers and give me those looks." "I think that we should have this conversation by ourselves, not with HIM listening." "HIM is my roommate and friend. His name is Robert. We have an important practice starting in 30 minutes which I have to attend. My hockey scholarship is very important to me. It is paying for a large portion of my expenses this year. And I love the hockey. "I am here to talk some sense into you! It is about HIM." "You are here unannounced with no warning. I would be glad to sit down with you after practice. We could go for something to eat. With a tone that this was putting her out, "What do I do in the mean time?" "You can stay here. You could watch the practice. It is a lovely day and you could walk around the campus. It really is a great campus. There are some coffee shops close by. Mother, we have to get our equipment and leave. We shall be back in an hour and a bit and we can make some plans. "So you are going to abandon me." "No mother, we are going to our practice. It was you who chose to come here unannounced." "You have changed!" With a steely tone of voice that even his mother recognized, "You have no idea how much." They directed his mother to the coffee shops and other sights on campus and told her that practice would end in an hour and then shower time so they would meet her back here in less than hour and a half. She was obviously not pleased. This was not the way she expected to be received. "You handled that brilliantly. I could see how upset you were but she would never notice. It is all about her. Let's go have a hard practice and we can figure this out later. I'll go anywhere, at any time that you want." Lucas reached over and kissed him. "You know that it is all going to be your fault?" He winked. "See these broad shoulders." Robert kissed him back. They walked quickly but close together. Then they remembered they would have to cancel their night out with their teammate, Paul. He was one of the first people who they saw. It was decided that Robert would tell him. Lucas was still upset. "Paul, we have had a problem this afternoon. Lucas' mother arrived unannounced. She hates me and he is in deep shit for not going home for Thanksgiving. She is adamantly opposed to anything gay, especially her son and I am the deviant who is leading him to destruction. We have to deal with her after the practice. Can we set up a meal another day? Maybe a very quick supper, a good hamburger, some time next week? Won't be able to stay long. It is going to be a busy, tough week." "Why did you come to practice?" "One, we don't want to miss practice and two, we wanted to get away from her for a while. She is a piece of work." Coach came up to him. "What's wrong with Stephenson?" "He'll be OK Coach. Family problem but he wants to be here. This team is really important to him." Coach gave him an appraising look but then yelled at the team to get their butts moving onto the ice. Robert could see a small smile on Lucas' face. He did need this, his normal routine. Robert started to formulate a plan. He would try to take some of the mother's anger off Lucas onto himself. How? Deal with that later. Now he too needed the exercise and concentration that the practice and workouts always gave him. They were walking out of the arena. Lucas looked refreshed. "I needed that. I feel great. I can even take her on." "Hope so." No mother in the lounge. They waited for 15 minutes. Was this her way of getting back at them? They went up to their room and put their equipment out to dry off. Fifteen minutes after that, no mother. They decided to go look around some of the coffee houses. No mother. As they walked back to the residence, they saw a figure off in the distance. Same size and same colour of clothes that his mother had worn. She was not walking steadily. They caught up to her. As they approached, "Jeez, she is plastered." She heard Lucas whispered comment. "I only had a couple of drinks." Her words were slurring. She needed the lounge and coffee. Almost at the same time, Lucas whispered. "She can't drive." As he walked slowly letting his mother walk ahead of him, Lucas pulled out his phone. Lucky, the call was answered on first ring. "Dad, Mother came today unannounced. We left her to go to a coffee shop while we went to practice and we just found her. She has been drinking and should not drive her car. Right, I'll get her keys. Thanks Dad. See you in an hour or so. Drive carefully; we can manage here." They took her to the lounge but other students were coming in to use the microwave and get coffee. They were getting strange looks. They decided to take her to their room. With disgust and slurred speech. "So this is the den of iniquity? My son the homosexual with his boyfriend. Disgusting." "Mother lie down and rest. You have had a bit too much drink." She was walking around the room muttering about them. When she was turned away from him, Lucas picked up her purse and took out the car keys before she realized anything was happening. "Yes my disgusting son and his disgusting boyfriend have driven me to drink. What did I do to deserve this!" Robert did not dare say what he was thinking; homosexuality may come from your genes lady. Instead, "Mrs. Stephenson how would you like a cup of that great coffee from the lounge." "Well if it will get rid of you for a while, yes. Two creamers." He almost chuckled. That put him in his place. He winked at Lucas. Robert was getting some time away from her. He sighed as he walked to the lounge. He was so lucky. He had his Papa and Dad, all his grandparents and Momma and Pops. Somehow he had to help his guy. He stopped at the door when he arrived back. "You have to get rid of him. You are ruining my life; I had to lie to my friends telling them about your heavy course load and hockey practices while you were off enjoying yourself at Thanksgiving." Robert entered and looked straight at the mother. "Why do think that he told me that because of you, he wasn't going home for Thanksgiving?" "You lie! He would never say that." Turning to Lucas, "Did you say that to me? "Yes." "Why?" Lucas understood. "Mother, I think that I understand where you are coming from. Your friends are important to you and you feel that if I am gay, that it will reflect on you. I don't think that it will. There is nothing I can do that will change how I feel about guys and Robbie in particular." He held up his hand. "No mother, I have to say this. You made my life miserable until I left for university. You called me disgusting every day, as you did several times today. You gave me one word answers and never engaged me in conversation at the dinner table, In fact, pointedly ignored me. Yes ... you ... did! I was not invited to go with the family on July 1st. That hurt." "I have enjoyed my two months here so much. I went with Robbie and met a family who accepted me, talked to me, laughed and joked with me and asked for my help at meals and clean up." His eyes teared up. "They took me in and have invited me back for Christmas. They are all coming to see us play hockey and they have invited Dad and me to stay at Robbies parents' home while we are there. Coach has said that it was OK. That is why I didn't come home for Thanksgiving and how I feel now. I don't know what Dad has said to you but this man means so much to me." His mother started to cry. Robert was sure that it was not real. It felt staged, an automatic reaction. Robert held up his hands to stop Lucas from comforting her. They waited. Almost suddenly, the tears stopped. She looked quite composed. "I am clearly not wanted here. I am going to leave and go home." She started to walk and almost fell over. Clearly still under the influence. "Sorry Mother but you are not fit to drive. Dad will be arriving soon to take you home and I have taken your keys." "How dare you?" "Just following my father's orders." "Give me my keys!" "Sorry mother but no. I have hidden them." She started to look all over their desks. She threw stuff on the floor. She riffled through their desks and then the backpacks. She threw their hockey equipment around. The room was quickly becoming a real mess. Lucas intervened when she was about to pick up his MacBook Pro. "Mother, I shall pick that up carefully. It is worth a lot. See, nothing under or around it." She sat on the bed and did start to cry. This time it was in frustration. This was a person who was used to getting her own way. She did not take no as an answer. Then she started to make comments about them and what they had done to her between fits of tears and crying. They heard their door open. "Elizabeth stop now. I have heard enough. We are going home in my car." Like a petulant child, "What about my car? I need it at home." "Our son will drive it back when he has the time." His mother with defiance, "I am going to drive it back today." "You have drunk too much. I can smell the alcohol from here. You made some bad decisions today." "Dad, I don't want to make things worse. I'll drive it back today and take the bus back tomorrow." Robert had heard enough. "You are not taking the bus on the day of a game. I'll drive your car and you can drive us back later today. We can be back fairly early." "Robbie you can't do that." Robert went to Lucas and put his hands on his shoulder. He looked at him with an intense look. "We are a team. We have each others backs. If we leave in the next few minutes, we'll be back by 10. We can stop for something to eat on the way home." He paused to look at Lucas and with a smile, "It will be fun." The look of pride from his father settled the deal for Lucas. He pulled Robbie to him. "Thanks. I owe you big time." "Thank you but you owe me nothing. This is team work." Mr. Stephenson helped his wife out of the room and they all followed to the cars. Luckily his mother had parked in the residence lot and their cavalcade started towards Lucas' home town. His mother had complained all the way to the car and blamed everything on the guys. His father had just maintained a stoney silence with his wife; the alcohol had really loosened her tongue. When they arrived at the parents' house. Robert decided to try one last thing. He turned to Mrs. Stephenson and invited her to join her husband at his parents' home, to see them play and then to meet his family. He stressed that he grandmother and grandfather would be pleased to meet and talk to her. The look and the comments were not encouraging. They were both very hungry so Lucas drove them to the best burger place in town. They both breathed a sigh of relief as they sat in the booth opposite each other. "What a day. I never dreamed that this would happen. She really has done a number on me and now I see her for who and what she is. The thing that I am really sorry about is that I won't be able to go back and work for Dad this summer. I could not live in that house with her." "We'll work something out. I gave it some thought on the drive here. I am going to see if my family might be interested in buying a house close to the university and we can live there next year and rent out some rooms. Perhaps to guys like us or to members of the hockey team. I know that I can get a job at The Accountants and perhaps there is work for you there or as a last resort with Grandad Philipo. I don't think that there will be anything in the computer department here for a first year student. I want to spend the summer with you if it is possible." Lucas looked so please at what Robert had said. He reached across the table and took his hand. Robert looked around to see if anyone was looking. Lucas looked at him "I don't care who sees what. If you tire of me and all these family complications, please don't let it drag on. Just tell me if you want out." "You know I meant it this afternoon. Life with you is interesting but it is more than that. You are one bright guy, a great hockey player and sexy as hell. I have enjoyed these first months more than I ever dreamed that I would and lot of it is because of you." The young male waiter came up to the table with a big smile. Looking at their hands locked together, "Guys what can I get you?" "I really love your big hamburger platter with the special sauce and a coffee. We have a drive ahead of us." The waiter gave them a warm smile after Robert ordered the same thing. Lucas looked at Robert, "I think we may have waiter who is like us. Cute too." Robert's eyes narrowed, "Oh, so the eyes wander already." "Compared to you, he has nothing. My incredible, big hockey player. I can hardly wait to get you home. I don't care how tired we are. You are on my menu tonight." "You want me to call the waiter and cancel our order? It is only an hour and a bit home." Lucas shook his head in a negative. "The food will give me energy and I am going to need that. So are you." He smirked at Robbie. They arrived back at their room. Lucas wasn't kidding. They were just in the door and he had Robert pressed against the wall. Lucas' hands had pulled Robert's shirt out of his pants and the hands were all over his chest. "Thank you for doing this for me. I enjoyed the drive home with you. Now for the menu that I had in mind. This is just the start." He leaned in and kissed Robert hard and his insistent tongue was in his mouth dueling with the other tongue. Both guys had their eyes closed as they wanted to feel only the pleasure of tongue against tongue. Lucas pulled back and scanned Robert's body. He could see the outline of a very hard cock lying sideways across the front of his pants. He threw Robert's shirt on the floor and then slowly undid his jeans and pulled them and his shorts down in one quick movement. He smiled again as Robert's cock sprang straight out in front of him. Lucas knelt in front of him. "This mushroom head always turns me on." The next thing Robert felt were the soft lips surrounding the head. Lucas heard the little whimper of surprise and pleasure. He loved to hear his guy respond like that. Before Robert knew it, after several tries, Lucas deep throated him. Robert's first thought was that his guy had been reading up on how to do this as he had. His second thought was that it felt incredible. "If you continue that much longer this is going to end very quickly." Lucas came off leaving the head red and shining with saliva. Robert repeated what Lucas had done with his clothes. Robert almost laughed when Lucas' cock sprang up and hit his stomach. Oh, his guy was ready but as it tuned out not the way that Robert had imagined. As they walked to the bed, Lucas grabbed the lube from the bedside table. He lay on his back looking at Robert. In a bossy tone, "Between my legs." What a sight, two big hockey players, Lucas on his back with his red, pulsing cock touching his stomach and Robert kneeling over him looking at him up and down, lightly stroking Lucas' hard cock. As Lucas put a lot of lube on Robert, Robert shuddered and then Lucas put some in himself. "Don't be gentle. Invade me. Don't stop. All the way in. Then hard and fast." Both men shuddered as Robert entered him and in one swift movement he was all the way in leaning over kissing his guy. Lucas, "Oh, that feels incredible. Can you feel me." "Your whole body is pulsing around me. I could almost finish with just that." He started to move in and out. Lucas was in control even on the bottom. Smiling, "I said hard and fast not this slow easy pace. Oh shit, that's what I need. Even harder!" Robert could hear the slap of body against body again and again. Somehow he knew that this was not a night for edging. He was so turned on that he wanted it to end with a massive explosion of pure lust and love. So he went harder and harder. He could feel Lucas stroking himself to the same rhythm. He looked down; Lucas was clutching himself so hard that the head was red almost purple. He saw the look of anticipation and almost a look of pain and then he felt the body go tense. The first shot hit Lucas' chest; it was large. Robert could feel the contractions of Lucas' orgasm and that set him off. He went in hard and held. The sensations were incredible as the feelings spread all over his body but still concentrated in his groin. He called out Lucas' name and as his own pulses ended, he fell on top of Lucas kissing him madly. They looked down. Robert gasping, "What a wonderful mess. I have never ever felt anything like it before." He rolled onto his side pulling Lucas with him. The kiss lasted a long time. Both guys knew that there was no clean up. Robert woke up the next morning with Lucas behind him with an arm over his body. Once again, he was amazed that in just over a month, he had fallen for a guy whose life had meshed with his. They were a team. Comments I have had some feedback from some readers who were trying to read some of my previous stories. If you go to Authors on Nifty and find my name, when you try to access Surprised Eric and Dave from the Authors list, it doesn't connect to anything. Surprised Graham and Robert is just not there. If you want to read them, use the date and category, Adult-Friends or Beginnings etc. and go the appropriate category and date and they are there and active. If you liked this story, you might want to read the others that I have published on Nifty. In particular, my first story, Unexpected Change which has had the most positive comments and one of my other favourites, What a Difference a Year Makes. I have recently reread Introspection and it is worth a read, Michail Burtchell's story is in Discoveries; its ending is a little weak but getting there is fun.
