*=Gone but not forgotten

As Captain Jacob Leib exited the communal shower of his barrack's he heard his name being called. Recognizing the base adjutant, the Captain snapped to attention as his towel fell around his ankles. "Captain Leib... your presence is immediately request in the base general's office. Dress Uniform and be ready in five minutes. MOVE IT! As Captain Leib exited his billet an aid to the General opened the car door and he was immediately transported to the base headquarters. A smiling secretary informed him to "Go right in, the General is expecting you".

Entering the conference room, he snapped to attention and started the mandator "Reporting as ordered..." and then froze mid-sentence. Seated around the table with his father Ari Rebel (the head of Mossad), the Prime Minister of Israel, the Minister of Defense, The Minister of Foreign Affairs, The Commanding General of the Israeli Defense Force, leaders of the Israeli Knesset and to his shock, his youngest brother "Uri" smiling from ear to ear. "What in the hell is going on raced through his mind!"

The Prime Minister took the lead and asked Captain Leib to have a seat as we have much to discuss. "Captain, you are the most decorated soldier in the Israeli Defense Force and we are asking you to accept an immense responsibility." First, I must warn you anything discussed in this room is under the umbrella of NATIONAL SECURITY and upon penalty of court martial and death if you divulge any of the information shared with you today. Do you understand what I have just shared with you? YES SIR!

You and your brothers grew up and were protected under the Alpha Zulu program at Fort Connor provided by the American Government. Regardless of the cost, the Israeli Government now considers such a program necessary for the security of our country. Both because of your outstanding history and being the most decorated soldier of the Israeli Defense Force (IDF), we are asking you to develop and head such a program for the people of Israel. If this isn't of interest to you, you can leave this room and nothing more will be said. Captain Leib only commented: "I serve the people of Israel however you feel my talents and ability may serve our great nation." Thank you Captain, we have much to discuss and I'm certain your father "Ari" will be able to discuss the program with you in more detail. You will be spending the next week with him in Teli Aviv. Your brother David has also been "read in" on this program as have your partner and the partners of your father and brothers.

After an exhaustive day of answering personal, religious, military and intimate questions from the leaders of Israel, the final shock of the day came from the Prime Minister. Captain Leib, we are giving you the means to implement this program and to show our commitment to you and to an Israel Alpha Zulu program... only for the second time in the history of Israel, the Israeli Military will have two Rav aluf (Equivalent of a Five Star General or Field Marshall) with you being the Rav aluf for the Alpha Zulu program. In addition, you will hold the position of "Ambassador-at-Large" for the Nation of Israel. Will you accept this responsibility? "I live to serve the people of Israel and I humbly accept this great honor!" "Thank you General, this meeting is now dismissed. I'm certain your father and brothers will be wanting to celebrate this great occasion in your life with you tonight.

Ari and Uri warmly embraced Jacob and commented a dinner celebration awaited them at home with our family and plenty of aged Single Malt Scotch to relax after the events of this day. Your family is totally in support of your decision and I do believe your partner will want to share with you his support of this monumental decision in your life. Jacob only smiled and comment he hoped he was in support because my first act is the reactive him to active service, promote him to the rank of Colonel and make him my Chief of Staff. Ari only smiled and commented: "You are fucked"! Jacob smiled and added: "I hope a few times tonight"!

Arriving at Ari's secure family compound, he announced for tonight he was in "father mode" and would return to being the head of Mossad tomorrow morning. This is a night for our family to celebrate and share the love we have for one another. A delicious meal was enjoyed by the family and far too much "Nectar of the Gods" but fortunately all were smart enough to defer any of Pa Vances's "Moonshine" knowing the results which would await them in the morning. Ari and Uri would be spending the next few days bringing Jacob up-to-date as to what had been negotiated with the civilian, military and religious leaders of Israel.

For the past two years the IDF had been phasing out a remote public airfield and making it and the surrounding area a restricted military base. A secure underground operations center and a secure underground emergency bunker for imps in any hostile attack. Israel had too many of its top scientists threatened with harm to their children unless they divulged military and scientific secrets. Protecting the children of our "brain trust" is now a national priority.

After a relaxing two day briefing with Ari and Uri Jacob now had to face the reality of the high office to which he had accepted. Facing the tailor and being fitted for his new uniforms and suits. Little did he realize the "Gold Braid" and "Glitz" that came with his new uniforms. They were designed to impress and definitely not for comfort. The Generals of Alpha Zulu now had something on which they all could commiserate.

As Date was relaxing comfortably enjoying one of the few moments of peace at Fort Connors OPS announced SecDef on a secure video conference for you. "Send him through (How is he going to screw up my life this time raced through his mind)!" A smiling SecDef is never a good sign. "What is the earliest you and your partner David can join me at the Pentagon?" Checking David's schedule SecDef was advised David would arrive at the Penthouse tonight and he will be in Washington for a few days. Is tomorrow too soon? SecDef smiled and only comment Date better enjoy the night in the Penthouse with David because he was really going to screw with both of our lives tomorrow. "I'll juggle my schedule when ever you two love birds decide to emerge from your bedroom." "Thanks!" (DISCONNECT)

David was surprised to see Date casually lounging in the Great Room when he entered their Penthouse. As both men enjoyed some great 20 year old Single Malt Scotch, Date commented they both had a command performance for SecDef tomorrow. We were told to enjoy tonight so let's have a quiet dinner catered and then lock ourselves away in the bedroom till sunrise. David only smiled and quickly ordered up their evening meal with a double serving of Raspberry Cheesecake.

Arriving at the Pentagon, Security escorted both men to the office of the Secretary of Defense. SecDef warmly greeted them and they relaxed in the casual seating to discuss the new problem they would face. "I'm certain you both have followed the rise of the "Lieb Trio" in Israel. They aren't called the "Den of Lions" without good cause. Jacob Leib this week was promoted to Rav aluf (Five Star General) and asked to finish development of an Alpha Zulu program for the State of Israel. He also was giving the status of Ambassador-at-Large for Israel. He will be arriving at Fort Connor on Monday and I hope you can clear your schedule and help him to understand all the nuisances of Fort Connor which most of us take for granted. He has full security clearance and POTUS is aware and has given his full approval.

Date video conference with the Fort Connor administrative staff and advised everyone including the Generals of SecDef's announcement. Be ready to render full military honors to a Five Star General and Ambassador-at-Large for General Leib when he arrives on Monday. We have to forget he is a former imp and treat him with the respect his rank and office now serves the people of Israel.

During the Monday morning staff meeting OPS interrupts and announced an Israeli Jet is requesting permission to land. Date approved the landing and staff headed to greet our now famous former imp. Full military courtesies and honors were rendered and the principals adjourned to the great room of our Commanding Generals. Date and David were happy to be reunited with their good friend and finally get to meet his partner in life. Our six star generals could feel the love being exchanged between these good friends. Date had to smile and remind them even a Rav aluf has to give Doc his blood when he lands at Fort Connor. Jacob only quipped: "Just so you don't let him get close to any handguns. His reputation even exists in Israel!"

As Date, David, Adrian and Randy spent half days answering questions for our new Rav aluf and then spent the remainder of the time with the sergeants and men asking and having information freely shared about Alpha Zulu. The only information denied Jacob was the fact the "Ghost of Fort Connor" actually exists. Jacob learned quickly the important staff positions he would need to fill.

1.      A pair of unequaled human resource specialists.

2.      An outstand Mess "chef".

3.      An unequaled military trauma surgeon.

4.      An open minded and compassionate chaplain.

5.      A war dog and handler.

6.      A base general and aide for administration.

7.      A base general and aide for tactical support.

8.      A first sergeant to act as a platoon leader.

9.      A staff sergeant for each 50 man squad.

10.  Administrative staff as required by the I.D.F.

The Israeli military openly accepts gay soldiers and they are treated as equals in the military. We urge you to give consideration and formulate a policy to give priority in selecting individuals with no living family. Threatening a soldier's family is an all too easy way to corrupt a good man to the "dark side". Also, being a restricted isolated military base, gay soldiers have a good way of handing stress and heterosexual soldiers are related to having calloused palms. We strongly urge you to have an all male environment even with female soldiers being equals in the IDF.

After ten days of briefings and Q&A with the men of Fort Connor it was time to bring Logan, Alex and T&T into the fold and enlist the support of the Worthington Industries Israel operations. Logan and Alex had heard Jacob was at Fort Connor and looked forward to seeing their old friend. When the Worthingtons heard of the IDF Alpha Zulu program they assured their complete support to protect the children of the Israel "brain trust". The Worthingtons were committed to the nation of Israel as much as "Mama Bear" had been.

After two weeks of intense briefings and sharing of information it was time to return to Israel and to ruin the lives of a few base commanders. First stop, the head of military personnel and recruit the two best personnel specialists in the IDF. Walking into the IDF headquarters and to shocked security as they confirmed Jacob's military ID and rank THREE TIMES, he was immediately escorted to the office of the personnel commanding officer. As the General sat at his desk in shock, Jacob asked him who were the two best personnel officers in his command. Asking to meet with them immediately, a secure conference room was made available.

As our two Captains walked into the secure conference room, they immediately snapped to attention seeing a Rav aluf seated at the table. Barely able to speak the necessary "Reporting as ordered..." "Have a seat, we have much to discuss." This meeting is under the guidelines of national security and if you discuss anything about it to anyone you will be court martial for treason and I guarantee you will be executed by firing squad. Do you understand what I have just said? "YES SIR!"

Just sitting with them and seeing the looks they shared Jacob knew these two men were lovers. Asking them their sexual preference they both admitted to being gay. When asked if they were lovers, they both blushed and freely admitted they had lived together since college but had not committed themselves to marriage. Something they were discussing and was hoping to do in the near future.

As Jacob explained the Alpha Zulu program to our two IDF Captains they relaxed and realized what a contribution they could make to the defense of Israel. Asking if they would consider being part of this team they smiled and graciously accepted. Jacob smiled and advised them they were now out of uniforms. I am hereby promoting you both to the rank of Colonel. The next time I see you I expect you to be in the proper uniform. DISMISSED!

Jacob looked at his partner and smiled commenting that didn't go so bad, what is next on our list. "A Chef"... should be an easy task. Of all the bases we have been stations which one served up the best food. Advise security and fuel the Jet... time to ruin a base general's life.

Arriving at the base unannounced, the base general was in shock to have a Rav aluf walk into his office. Invited to enjoy a private meal in the Generals dining room both Jacob and his partner were impressed with the quality of food they enjoyed. Asking the General to invite his Chef to join them, the general was less than happy when Jacob ask the Chef to join him in a private meeting. The base general saw the "handwriting on the wall" and admitting defeat retreated to his office.

Jacob explained the Alpha Zulu program to our Chef and asked if he would be part of a new program to protect the children of Israel and provide for the security of our great nation. An enthusiastic YES was received. Asked if our Chef had anyone special in his life, he only commented a tube of lube and the palm of his hand which made Jacob roar. Yes, he remembered the days of being an imp and starting in the military. The happiest day of his life was when he married his partner. Although, after a few days in the honeymoon suite he wondered if he would ever be able to put his legs together or walk again. (Memories that will last a lifetime!)

Jacob was feeling cocky and in control as so far this had been easier than he was led to believe. Next up, a trauma surgeon and Jacob knew the exact person he wanted. The man who had saved his life when he was injured in the last conflict. Oh, did he offend the base general when he arrived on base and went directly to the base hospital bypassing the protocol of meeting with the base general first. Walking into the doctors office the doctor rose and commented "Captain Leib"(?)... I see you have been promoted, congratulations and how can I be of service.

"Doc, you are a man I trust with my life and the life of my family... I need you for a classified program which will impact the security of Israel." His friend smiled and only commented: "Say no more, I am at your service. Just let me know how I can help." Advised he would receive his orders within a week and he was now out of uniform. "You now hold the rank of Colonel, I expect to see you in the correct uniform the next time we meet." As a shocked doctor dropped into his chair and muttered softly "Thank you sir" as Jacob exited his office.

As his family was relaxing in their great room after an enjoyable dinner Jacob turned to his brother David and asked for his help. You are deeply involved within the religious community and I need an understanding chaplain that isn't going to be upset serving was a unit of primarily gay soldiers. A man of understanding and compassion and who truly wants to serve and help his fellow man. Jacob smiled and commented I have the perfect candidate for you. Giving Jacob the name and unit of the individual, security was advised to make the transportation arrangements for the following day. Time to ruin the life of another base general.

Arriving on base Friday morning Jacob and his partner spent an enjoyable day inspecting the base with the general and an enjoyable lunch with his officers. Accepting an invitation for the Sabbath service Jacob was indeed impressed with the Jewish chaplain. David had understated the ability of the man to communicate with the men. He would respect the Sabbath and not approach the chaplain until Sunday. The Chaplain was in awe and shock to be asked to meet with a Rav aluf of the IDF. After explaining the program to the Chaplain, he felt humbled to be considered for this great honor and with God's help would strive to serve the men of the new Alpha Zulu program. The Chaplain was in shock when he was instantly promoted to the rank of Colonel.

Returning to his old unit his men erupted in praise for their old "Captain" and harassed him asking whose ass he had to kiss to become a Rav aluf. He smiled at them and knew he was still part of their band-of-brothers and they would all lay down their lives for each other and the State of Israel.

Jacob had an ulterior motive knowing that the dog handler of the unit had lost his dog in the last conflict as the dog sacrificed himself to prevent his master from being shot. It was time for the man to accept the loss and there is no better way than giving him a purpose in his life. Asking the unit Captain if he could borrow his office, he asked his old friend to join him in a private conversation. Reaching into his old desk drawer he found the new captain enjoyed Scotch also. Grabbing two glasses he poured a drink for the two of them and they sat and talked as true "brothers". (The unit captain was shocked a week later to receive a case of 20 year old single malt to more than replace what Jacob and his friend had consumed.)

Jacob commiserated with his friend and the entire unit missed their furry four legged friend. Jacob knew the abilities of this man and how he loved and could relate to his furry charge. Asking and nearly begging him to accept a posting to the IDF Alpha Zulu program. Jacob guaranteed him an immediate posting to Dog School and the pick of the litter. As he smiled his acceptance Jacob now had to "make it happen". Asking his "Chief of Staff" (Partner) to contact IDF headquarters and to enroll our soldier in the next dog school he was met with total resistance. No special consideration would be given to any soldier. Oh, was someone in for a great shock.

The IDF had arranged for temporary headquarters for Jacob and his Staff in a wing of the headquarters building. The Captain in charge of the War Dog program was shocked when his phone rang and he was ordered to report to the office of the Rav aluf on the 9th floor. Jacob's Chief of Staff smiled and told the Captain to "go right in, the General is expecting you.

Our Captain stood at attention in terror not knowing what to expect. Jacob hoped the "Olive Branch" approach would resolve any problem and simply asked that his dog handler be admitted to the next class and be given the pick of the litter. Our supervising captain admitted defeat and comment he would see to it personally. Jacob concluded that if he had to have another discussion with this individual it would be to sign his transfer to a base sanitation detail. "UNDERSTOOD?" "YES SIR!"

After a few days of tolerating base generals and the stress of getting commitments out of some great officers and soldiers of the IDF, Jacob need the sanctuary of his family compound and the love of this partner. Jacob retreated from the family after their evening meal and never emerged from his bedroom till he hobbled out on Sunday morning. Jacob had one sore ass and his partner had one big smile. Jacob may be a Rav aluf but in bed his partner was the alpha male and Jacob loved every minute of pleasure they could share.

Jacob approached Ari for some "off the record" discussion as to potential candidates for the two base general positions. Jacob had full faith in a couple of Majors who had greatly impressed him when he was serving as a unit Captain. As Ari pulled up their records, education, awards and accomplishments he also agreed with Jacob they would be eminently qualified for the two positions. They were truly being underutilized.

Another base visit and time to ruin another base general's day. Jacob was getting quite a reputation in the short time since he received his promotion and few Generals wanted the experience of meeting him. Enjoying the mandatory meal with the General and his officers he quietly asked if the two Majors could meet with him afterwards.

After the two majors got over the shock of their former colleague (Captain) now being one of two highest ranking officers in the IDF they truly went into shock when after explaining the program... He offered them the two command position of the new Alpha Zulu base. They accepted Jacob's offer with extreme humility and were in shock when they were advised the new posting came with the rank of Tat aluf (1 star general). You will receive your orders within the week so you may want to wear the correct insignia when you report to your temporary office in the IDF headquarters.

Returning to the family compound Jacob approached Ari and asked if he would contact the U.S. Secretary of Defense. He wanted to send his administrative team to Fort Connor and let them mirror their counterparts for a few weeks. CONSIDER IT DONE!

Within days Jacob's administrative team was on a military executive transport and heading for Fort Connor. The men were in shock to be so warmly greeted and to have information freely shared with them.

·         A pair of unequaled human resource specialists.

·         An outstand Mess "chef".

·         An unequaled military trauma surgeon.

·         An open minded and compassionate chaplain.

·         A base general for administration.

·         A base general for tactical support.

These men mirrored their counterparts at Fort Connor and what the men found most difficult was the command structure. Although ranks existed to dictate responsibilities it was a total effort of soldiers and officers that made Fort Connor and Alpha Zulu a success. The information shared was invaluable to the success of the Israeli Alpha Zulu program.

As the core men of the new Alpha Zulu program were learning the nuisances of Alpha Zulu and Fort Connor our dedicated dog handler was basking in the warmth and love of his new furry four legged partner. When Jacob heard he would be graduating at the top of his class he asked T&T to have a ballistic armor made for him and he issued an administrative order promoting both the handler and the dog to the rank of Sergeant Major. Both men passed in review in much pride and to the jealousy of the other members of the graduating class. The new furry four legged Sergeant Major strutted in pride at graduation proudly displaying his new rank, the Star of David and the emblem of Israeli Special Forces on his Ballistic Armor. Now Jacob had to choose the five men who would be the key to the success of the program. A Sergeant First Class and four Staff Sergeants. Hayao to the rescue.

Hayao being ever proactive had modified his personnel program and offered it to Jacob's HR Team to use in recruiting members to the IDF Alpha Zulu program. Once his HR team saw the benefit of this evaluation tool, they demanded every member of the IDF special forces be required to complete the online program so they could be evaluated.

A month later the HR team gave Jacob and the new base commanders a list of their top candidates they would recommendation for the five non-commissioned officer openings. Orders were cut and the men would report to IDF headquarters starting on Monday. Time for "shock and awe" and see who cries "UNCLE".

Jacob was relaxing under a hot shower and praising the man who invented the tankless hot water heater. He could feel his partner enter and wrap his arms around his naked body. Without warning his alpha partner impaled him on his love muscle and Jacob screamed in pleasure as he was being sent to Nirvana. The entire family smiled knowing the love these two had for one another. Yes, Jacob would be doing the walk of shame as every member of the family had in the past and would again in the future.

Yes, they may harass the hell out of him when he emerged for dinner but this is their family way of showing the love and commitment that exists between them. Everyone was surprised when Ari was doing the "walk of shame" as the family proceeded to the dinner table. Yes, love was alive and a fire that would never be extinguished in this family.

Jacob awoke as the sunlight streamed through the bedroom window to the beautiful sight of his partner stroked his magnificent piece of man meat. Jacob knew he was going to have one sore ass sitting through interview today but accepted it as a part of being in love with such a wonderful man.

To his surprise, his partner slid a condom over his erection and after stuffing half a tube of Doc's super lube up his ass the balance of the tube was applied to his condom covered erection. Slowly penetrating his lover, he held him tight and told him he didn't want him in agony all day. You pleasured me all night and the least I can do is give you some comfort to face today.

Jacob was in love and feeling his partner massage his prostate sent him over the edge and he coated the sheets with his prime hot load of Jewish baby batter. Jacob was turned onto his back, his legs placed on his partners shoulder and he was fucked to Nirvana and back numerous times resulting in screaming orgasms. When his partner finally reached Nirvana, he quickly exited Jacob's body, tore off the condom and coated Jacob with his last hot load of cum.

Both men looked at the disaster the created in the bedroom and laughed without embarrassment. They adjourned to the shower and this time with the motivation to clean their bodies so they didn't smell like a walking sex parlor as they had interviews to conduct all day.

When it came to the security of Israel and the protection of imps Jacob and his HR Team would ask all questions they felt necessary in evaluating an individual. If it embarrassed the individual: "LIVE WITH IT"... nothing was off limits. If an induvial wasn't comfortable with the interview process, they could recuse themselves. FEW DID!

Finally, the five key enlisted men were selected and now they could join the administrative team at the IDF headquarters and work on making the Alpha Zulu base a reality. HR had the responsibility for fast tracking the first 100 special forces soldiers and the required support staff. Knowing an additional 100 special forces soldiers would be needed immediately afterwards made for a challenge job description but a challenge they were dedicated to meet.

The military engineers were close to completing the physical requirements in the construction plans given to them. They asked for the Alpha Zulu team to meet with them and have a "walk through" to let them know of any changes or "tweaks" they desired. The recommendations of the staff of Fort Connor definitely gave the Colonel in charge of the military engineers a less than optimal day. Like the committed men of Alpha Zulu, he wanted the best possible security and environment for the imps Alpha Zulu would serve.

The look on the face of the Colonel in charge of the military engineers was priceless when he was informed every shower would have an attached bidet and every toilet would also have a bidet installed. No explanation was given and he assured the generals it would be given his immediate attention.

The generals were impressed with the blast door to the imps secure bunker and were assured it was rated for every known explosive with the possibility of a M.O.A.B. (Mother of all Bombs) or a direct hit by a nuke. The imps would be as safe as possible.

Security for the OPS center and the Rav aluf quarters was secure and rated against normal explosives. They were more secure than any military residence in Israel. OPS could have additional special forces in the air and on site within 20 minutes in an emergency.

IDF planners advised they had a satellite in stationary orbit over the base and dedicated to provide real time information to protect the men and imps. It was state of the art and could show two horny rodents mating in the moonlight. (Jacob could hardly wait till the first man accidently left his wrist com in transmit as he was enjoying a quickie with his partner and OPS broadcast it to the entire base. Oh, memories of growing up.)

The base had impressive security. A double row of chain fence topped with razor wire. Land mines between the fences, sensors everywhere on base, patrolling security 24/7 with the use of lethal force authorized. Two Land Rovers with top mounted mini guns and two with SAW's made for an impressive arsenal. Every soldier carried a sidearm and a bullpup on a sling. Officers had a Barretta ankle pistol as well. Every man shot expert and recertified every two weeks. The recommendation of the staff of Fort Connor that the first shot should be a lethal head shot was also adopted.

The men opted for a light weight ceramic body armor wrap around vest and also had the heavy military grade body armor and steel head gear if it was needed in combat. They felt they were prepared for anything and only time would prove this accurate or incorrect.

With their base ringed with Phalanx guns, ground to air missiles, military drones armed with sidewinder missiles and mini guns, 12 new state of the art attack helicopters, and each held every armament in the IDF arsenal. Ever being proactive, they added 100 combat shotguns and even prepared for a "low tech" attack. It is difficult to believe a $500.00 USD remote control drone bought online could bring down a multi-million dollar military Jet but it can happen. In many ways a combat shotgun was more effective in bringing down a low tech drone than risking a $1,000,000.00+ USD military drone or attack helicopter.

Being always vigilant, roving patrols guarded against the potential for infiltration by a lone individual(s) willing to give up their live to take the life of our General or of an imp. No security system is perfect, one can just hope to make the cost so high in risk to the individual's life to discourage any attempt. If someone could make it through the fences, minefields and sensors they still would need to face 200 special forces soldiers and one mean war dog. If they were lucky, they would be shot which is preferable to having one throat ripped on by an attacking dog who will give his life to protect his master and any imp.

Jacob could only think of the old adage: "When you build a better mousetrap the mice get smarter". No system is perfect, we can just make the cost so high to hopefully convince anyone considering an incursion that it will cost them their life.

OPS came through on Jacob's wrist com at 0130 hours stating an emergency call from Mossad headquarters. Ari quickly advised Jacob to put the base on high alert. Mossad operative had confirmed a leak in security with the Engineers which had built the base. We don't know who or what yet but be prepared for anything and everything.

Within 15 minutes the base was at full alert and every defensive system was manned and operational. The waiting is always the worse part of any incursions. Subversives were testing the system with a small force of special ops soldiers who did a Halo jump into the center of their secure base. They were immediately ringed with over 100+ men and one mean war dog. The men who offered resistance immediately found themselves DEAD! The individuals who surrendered were given the choice of giving us all the information they had and the IDF would take the firing squad off the choices for the military tribunal at their hearing. The soldiers refused to provide any information and the tribunal was in total consensus sentencing the individuals to death by firing squad. It is sad to see brave soldiers die even if they are the enemy. Jacob could only hope if the roles were reversed, he could face death with the same dignity these men did. The firing squad consisted of all expert marksman. The volley of shots ended the lives of these brave soldiers. They faced their death with honor and were truly worthy adversaries.

Now it was up to Mossad to find out where the information about our "Camp 69" originated so we could plug the leak and hopefully prevent any more needless deaths. The role of an Alpha Zulu soldier was to protect the imps and none of us enjoyed taking a life regardless of the rationale.

Jacob instructed the base generals to have numerous practice alerts till the men knew by instinct and didn't have to think through what to do. The next incursion was even more stealthy and only by one soldier attempting a halo insertion. The soldier definitely selected the wrong landing area and was met by one snarling war dog baring his teeth demanding the soldier to surrender. As he reached for his gun, Yossi was given the command to attack and the damage to the individuals body was so sever Doc couldn't save his life. If it comes to a choice between being shot or brought down by a war dog, please... someone shot me! This was our second attempt at an incursion, and we had yet to have our first imp in residence. The incursion was with such stealth few people knew it happened until we made staff aware at our morning briefing. Yossi got a warm shower, a shampoo and plenty of doggie treats from his handler and every man on base. Everyone was proud of our furry four legged protector.

Settling into my office a few days later my Chief of Staff forwarded me an Email from my old unit requesting I visit them on an urgent matter of life and death. I advised my staff to fuel the jet and I wanted a four person security team to accompany me.

Trying to follow protocol and meet with the base general first I advised him this was totally a friendly meeting with old friends in his special forces unit. Walking into their barracks they snapped to attention and then greet me as a returning victor as the command "AS YOU WERE" was given. "OK, you got me here, what do you need?"

We were on patrol last week and faced an incursion into a remote kibbutz. As we heard shots being fired coming from one house, we entered and face a team of two soldiers and eliminated them with extreme prejudice.

The intruders had shot both the mother and father as they covered the body of their young son. We refused to have the child put into the system and face more trauma in his young life. We know what the Alpha Zulu program does and we also know you two men are truly in love. You can give this young man a family he never dreamed possible.

I turned to my partner in life and smiling asked him if he was ready for fatherhood. "Just so I don't have to change any diapers!" I sure have tried to knock you up often enough which made everyone in the room roar in laughter.

Turning to my old friends I asked if they really had hidden the young man on base for the past two weeks. It was a difficult task but not impossible. Alpha Zulu is exempt from oversite by children's services so you don't have a mountain of paperwork to complete. I'm certain you can find a JAG officer to help you complete the adoption. Who is going to say no to one of the top officers in the IDF.

I was getting excited to meet this young man and frankly having our son on base definitely will show the commitment we have as leaders as to the safety provided to imps in our custody. "Where are you hiding this imp?" He is in the Captains office cowering in terror of you rejecting him. We will talk with him and explain who we are and the nuisances of Camp 69. We won't force him but hopefully he'll see this is a fantastic opportunity for a life he never dreamed possible.

Walking into the Captain's office the young man rushed to hide behind the desk. We sat across the room and introduced ourselves. We asked if he would talk with us and get to know us. He emerged from behind the desk in obvious fear of being taken away from the only security he had known since his parent's death. We explained to him the secure base we ran and how it was designed to protect imps and we would hope he would eventually like to be our son. Try us out as parents for six months and if you don't like us or our camp, I'll do everything in my power to find you a loving family. A floodgate of tears opened as he came running into our arms. For the fist time since the death of his parents he felt someone truly loved him and would protect him.

Exiting the Captain's office our young charge raced into the arms of our good friends hugging and kissing them in wild abandonment. He was truly grateful for the risk they had taken having him with them these past two weeks and finding him two wonderful men to be his parents.

We each took a hand of our son and walked out of the barracks to the shock of our security team. The camp grapevine was in overdrive when we walked down the ramp of our jet with a young son in tow. Off to medical and a quiet chat with Doc before our son had to face our good friend. Yes, Doc had a kind and gentle side with kids and especially kids who had much trauma in their lives. Doc drew the standard blood tests and then asked for his complete name and what doctor he had been seeing. Within 24 hours Doc had a complete medical history on our son and other an updating his shot record we asked Doc to chip him to protect him.

Our son was shy about dropping his pants and Doc only pulled down a corner to expose a small portion of his hip. Numbing it up, our son barely felt the chip being implanted. I only hope our senior staff do as well when they are advised THEY WILL BE CHIPPED! Doc only commented a week later chipping senior staff went as expected other than Sergeant Major Yossi... even muzzled he wanted to take my hand off when I put in his chip. We just smiled at Doc and told him "doggie treats" are the secret weapon dealing with the Sergeant Major.

First item on the agenda when we returned to the IDF headquarters was a meeting with a Senior JAG officer and explaining what we had done and the rationale behind it. How do we make this legal? Giving him what information we had on our "son", he asked for 72 hours to do some research and he would have the options available to us.

Returning three days later he confirmed that out son had no living relatives and under normal circumstances he would be put into the custody of children's services. As Alpha Zulu is exempt from children services oversite it makes it easier for us. Pulling a stack of papers from his brief case we two fathers signed more forms that what was required to build Camp 69. Our JAG lawyer would meet with a sympathetic judge who owed him a few favors and get the ball started on a formal adoption. You two fathers and your son will eventually have to meet with the judge in chambers before the adoption is formalized. If your son changes him mind and doesn't want you as parents please let me know so I can stop the process. All three of you will need to be of one mind before the judge or any judge will approve an adoption.

Time to break the news to our family and introduce our new son to his grandfathers, uncles, and cousins. I'll be surprised with all the tentacles "Grandpa Ari" has he isn't already aware of what we are doing

Friday night was scheduled as a "command performance" for our family and to introduce our new son... Ari Rebel, Jr. and our son was so proud of his new name especially after he met his grandfather and learned he was the head of Mossad.

The men of Alpha Zulu spoiled "JR" as he was affectionally called. Our son definitely didn't lack for an abundance of ice cream with hot fudge topping. After the first soldier was assigned "barf bag" detail it was quickly learned around camp to moderate spoiling our son.

JR loved working with the men and even enjoyed the physical condition and it wasn't mandated by his fathers. It took our son one day to decide that skinny dipping was far preferable to wearing a wet soggy swim suit in our pool.

We had a frontal assault our first night back at Camp 69 and it was met with lethal resistance. Not one intruder survived and I lost no sleep over this loss of life. The men were following their training and I would defend their actions with the full force of my office and rank. What shocked the entire administrative team was the fact that every man killed had a picture of our son in his possession.

Time to have a man to man chat with my old team of soldiers and I doubt if they will appreciate it. As they snapped to attention when I walked in and I kept them at attention. I wanted them to know this was a formal inquiry and I wanted facts. Either give me the truth or face a court martial and a long sentence of confinement at hard labor. Our friendship does not exist when it comes to the safety of my son. Now, tell me why there are Arab hit squads after a young boy.

As the facts were revealed, it was apparent our sons parents were involved in the classified nuclear program of Israel. Before we could exit the kibbutz, intelligence officers were gleaning every piece of hard copy and electronic data in their house. Whatever his parents were doing is well above our pay grade. Our only goal was and is to protect this imp and find a loving home and family for him.

We thanked our friends for the trust and candor and assured them we loved our son and would fight with all the power of our rank and office to make him a permanent member of our family. Time to really shake up the bureaucracy of the IDF.

Requesting a meeting with the Minister of Defense it was no surprise to him as to the nature of the meeting. It only surprised him we had taken so long. Yes, our sons parents were research scientists working on the next generation of nuclear weapons for our military arsenal. You'll only get the full cooperation of the Defense Department when it comes to protecting your son and adopting your son. Your son is a living example of the value of Alpha Zulu and proof to other parents considering placing their sons in our program.

I reaffirm the directions given to you when you accepted the responsibility of Alpha Zulu... Protect your son and protect every imp with the full resources of the IDF! And, by the way... congratulations on becoming new fathers. I do believe you will "shock the hell" out of Ari when he meets his grandson on Friday night.

Returning to our offices we asked our HR team to join us immediately. We need a protector for our son and we need him yesterday. I want a selection of individuals on my desk with my morning coffee tomorrow. DISMISSED!

Bringing up our base generals on the video coms I assured them our son was not going to be a happy camper but I wanted two armed guards with him 24 hours a day till further notice. You can blame us if he gives you any flack, but it isn't optional, it is direct order from your Rav aluf.

It was difficult to spend the night in the family compound and not mention to anyone we had a new son. They were definitely in for a shock on Friday and I hoped our son would bond with our family and know the love we share is truly from our hearts. Even grandpa Ari has a soft hearted nature buried under that gruff exterior.

Our dedicated HR team went without sleep that night but I had a selection of qualified individuals to select the protector for our son. The two of us reviewed the candidates and then selected the top three to present themselves to us at Camp 69. Time for "shock and awe" and see if anyone screams "UNCLE".

As security met the first plane of the new day three soldiers walked down the ramp and everyone present thought they were the finalists of the "Tom of Finland" annual calendar. Every man present either had a major hardon or had filled their underwear with a load of their hot cum. The men were shocked when they were escorted to the base of the Commanding General and asked to wait until they were summoned. Time for the "shock and awe" and see how our three handle stress. The first candidate entered and barely got "Reporting as ordered" out of his mouth before he froze at attention. Meeting a Rav aluf isn't something a soldier does every day. Asking him to have a seat we have much to discuss. Camp 69 is a base of primarily gay soldiers and our soul purpose is to protect high risk imps from hostile forces. In particular, our son is a high risk imp and we are interviewing individuals for his personal security. As we spent the next two hours grilling the soldier on everything military, social and personal we knew more about him than even his parents wanted to know. We thanked him for his candor and reminded him nothing was to be discussed outside of this office. Please send in the next candidate.

By retreat our three candidates had a day like none other in the military. They truly felt grilled and every part of their live exposed and violated. This was our son and as such no question was off grounds. Our HR team had done an admiral job in their review and selection of candidates. All three would make a great protection but only one could have the job. Time to add JR to the mix and see how they interact. Dismissing his protection detail, we sat him in our office and ask him to take the three soldiers to the rec hall as they had an exhaustive day. Handing him six rolls of tokens he was out of our office in a flash asking our trio of soldiers to keep up with him.

Three hours later an exhausted son returned with his three charges and I had the 1st Sergeant escort them to their billet for the evening. Time to have a fatherly chat with JR and see his feelings. All three men had the ability so was there one who you felt more comfortable around. This is a man that will be with you 24 hours a day to protect you. He isn't your servant he is your protector and you will treat him with the respect he is due. This man will take a bullet for you, so I expect you to be honorable no matter how much you are upset with your fathers.

JR was honest saying all three were mighty fine specimen of men. Every man in the rec hall had a raging erection and was drooling over them. As for me, the first man you interviewed this morning seemed to relate better and if I have to follow his directions implicitly, he would be my choice.

Time to break the bad news and give our two "runner ups" the choice of joining a squad. It was a most difficult decision and we fathers passed the decision to our young son. Only time would tell if this was the correct decision for his life and future.

Our candidate held the rank of Sergeant and was in shock when we told him this posting came with the rank of a Captain in Special Forces. You'll be off base being fitted for your new uniforms and then we'll introduce you to the men of Camp 69.

The entire base turned out to greet our new Captain when he returned to Alpha Zulu. He felt the love and comradery of his fellow soldiers and knew this was a perfect posting for him in the IDF.

Almost immediately OPS sounded an ALERT and our new Captain had JR under his arm running flat out toward the imp's secure bunker. Joining Sergeant Major Yossi and his handler the vault door was closed and locked. It would take a 12 digit security code, a palm print ID and an iris scan for it to be opened. Plus, any intruder would face 200 armed special forces soldiers whose standing orders was for the first shot to be a lethal shot. (We learned quickly to keep the imps bunker well stocked with doggie treats!)

I heard shots being fired around camp and I hoped and prayed I wouldn't have to face any parents and tell them their son had made the ultimate sacrifice for his country. Not a task that command school can prepare anyone to face.

Three insurgents were neutralized but we lost one of our own. He was an orphan with no living relatives and his 200+ brothers mourned his death as they would anyone in their family. The Chaplain gave a memorial service worthy of any general in the IDF. We provided an honor guard and pall bearers as he was transported to the military cemetery at Mt. Herzl. He was buried with full military honors and his loss was felt by every man in Alpha Zulu.

The administration of the IDF reviewed the incident under a microscope. Every detail was reviewed in depth by different department until the final decision was reached. Our departed brother would be awarded the Israel Security Award posthumously. As I was the only other person on base to hold this award, I knew the review process in presenting this award to any soldier. I was in shock when my counterpart the Rav aluf of the IDF arrived and requested a formal presentation to all the men of my command. The Commanding General of the IDF started his comments by saying he regretted telling the dedicated members of this command that Camp 69 no longer exists. By unanimous action of the Knesset this IDF Special Forces base is now to be known as "CAMP YEHONATAN" after our departed brother-in-arms. The men of Alpha Zulu erupted in applause and praise for this simple act that finally cemented them together as a "BAND-OF-BROTHERS"!

The culmination of my week of stress finally arrived on Friday night when I would introduce our son to his extended family. As usually, Grandpa Ari was late in arriving home and had a briefcase full of work with him. Asking who this "fine young man" was he was in shock when we told him it is your grandson. Holding him securely he asked our son what his name was. There were tears in Grandpa's eyes when he heard our sons name was Ariel Rebel, Jr. Grandpa got little work done this weekend but he shared moments both he and our son would remember for the rest of their life. JR knew he had a loving family that would protect him from all harm. He was loved unconditionally.

Finally, Saturday night Grandpa Ari invited JR to share his bed so his fathers could have some private time. My partner in life destroyed my ass till the sun rose in the morning. I was doing the walk of shame as we enjoyed breakfast and sitting gently as we ate. JR smiled at his two fathers and knew we were still in love and he only made our family complete.
