ALERT, ALERT... MULTIPLE ATTACKS ON THE WHITE HOUSE AND PENTAGON. CONTINUNITY OF GOVERNMENT PROTOCOL IS IN EFFECT!

That alert always scares the hell out of me. I am so hoping it was only a test and it will be cancelled quickly. I knew the tests were necessary but not even us Generals were warned in advanced. Only POTUS, SecDef and the Joint Chiefs were aware it was a test. The rest of us only hoped and prayed it wasn't for real.

Within a few hours it was announced this was a drill and our commanding officers would receive a full evaluation within a few days. As I was breathing easier, I had to think about the words of the Vice President and I thought back upon all of the imps that found love and ended up at the altar of Fort Connor. To the best of my knowledge, not one couple has divorced.

I had a lot to discuss with the Chaplain to clear my conscience and my soul. Our Cardinal Chaplain always cleared his schedule and found time for me if and when I requested it. I was in mental trauma from the events of the past few months. Having a young cadet die in my arms gave me major doubt about staying in the military. He died for me! Those two bullets had my name on them.

Our Cardinal Chaplain had never seen me in this level of grief. As he discretely pressed the "alarm" button on his wrist com within seconds a cadre of security descended upon the chapel. "Please escort the General to his quarters and post men to assure his safety. He is under "house confinement" until released by Doc and me.

WOW! I sure didn't see that coming. I must really be in worse shape than I imagined. Arkyn came running into our quarters frantic that I had been injured. Once he was assured I was fine physically he only commented I wasn't going anywhere with two 6'4" MPs and two Wolf War Dogs posted at the entrance to our quarters.

Doc was totally out of character and actually a caring individual which scared me more than if the old curmudgeon had been acting his normal self. Drawing vial after vial of blood he told Arkyn to take me to bed and have an immense amount of stress management as it would take a few hours to get the results of all these tests.

Yes, trauma in ones life can really screw with ones neuro transmitters. I knew and trusted Doc and he would only do his best to help anyone in distress. Arkyn held me, kissed me and walked me hand in hand to our master bedroom. Doc advised the security at our entrance to ignore any strange sounds coming from the Generals quarters for the next few hours. They were following HIS medical directives.

Oh, did Arkyn take Doc's instructions literally and for over two hours he fucked my brains out and I reached Nirvana more times than I could remember. Then the caring and romantic man I married held me in his arms and kissed me passionately. My lips were so numb I could barely return the kiss to him.

The smile of his face and the radiance of his eyes told everything. He was still as in love with me as the day we committed ourselves as partners for eternity.

Doc returned a few hours later only to comment my neuro transmitters were really screwed up. It would take a few weeks of IV medication for him to get them in balance. Until then, you General have NO Command Authority. I will put an ambiguous diagnosis in your medical records provided you have twice daily counseling sessions with the Chaplain.

Your other choice is a secure psych facility and getting pumped full of drugs until you are a zombie. The choice is yours, choose wisely.

I had to admit that after a week of Doc's "Tender Loving Care" I actually started to feel better. I was crying my heart out in the counseling sessions with the Chaplain over all the men who had died under my command. It wasn't fair for them to die and for me to live. (The Chaplain was close to putting me on a suicide watch after that counseling session.)

Arkyn assured the Chaplain I wouldn't get out of bed until flag raising the next morning. What he meant was I wouldn't be able to get out of bed until flag raising the next morning. I hurt so bad and from how I was walking both the Chaplain and Doc knew Arkyn had taken good care of me the previous night. The men of Alpha Zulu knew their leaders were still in love.

Finally, after three weeks I finished Doc's cocktail of drug therapy and now all I had to do is get the Chaplain to sign off on me returning to duty. (Easier said than done!)

They teach us in command school that sometimes as a commanding officer you will order men on an assignment you know will probably result in their death. But, without their sacrifice, many more men would have died. It is the burden of command none of us are ready to accept when it faces us.

Finally, one night after a long and traumatic counseling session with the Chaplain, I returned to my quarters to find Arkyn waiting patiently for me. I took a quick shower and told him I was taking a short nap. A few hours later I awoke to my arms wrapped around a furry mutt of a Wolf Dog who was licking my face as I held him tight and knew his simple action expressed the feelings of every man of Alpha Zulu.

Arkyn walked in our bedroom and only derided me He had been replaced! Asking Arkyn to throw a few doggie treats out into our great room our doggie treat addicted Wolf Dog exited our bedroom to claim his reward. Telling Arkyn to close the bedroom door and get his naked ass in bed. I fucked him with passion he hadn't experienced since our honeymoon. Our guards on duty were smiling when they realized it would be Arkyn doing the walk of shame to flag raising in the morning.

It just took a loving mutt, tender loving care from Doc (NOT!) and a Chaplain of unequal talents to help me through this traumatic moment in life. I'll never forget the death of each and every soldier, but I have to accept they knew the risks when they joined Alpha Zulu. Every soldier was a volunteer and in this history of Alpha Zulu we have never had a man quit on us for any reason other than retirement.

Arkyn told me he would have the range master put the firing pins back in my pistols and bullpup in the morning. Damn, Arkyn, Doc and the Chaplain sure can be sneaky conspirators especially when they have the assistance of every man on base.

I barely got back to a normal operational status, cleared up the backlog of paperwork on my desk and actually thought I had time for a "quickie" with Arkyn when OPS announces: Air Force One requesting permission to land! Bring him on, now is as good a time as any to face my destiny.

A smiling POTUS walked down the ramp of Air Force One along with the Secretary of Defense. Security was verified and Arkyn and I greeted the two men as old friends. Asking to adjourn to our secure conference room, they needed to talk of something personal regarding you two generals.

As the doors locked and the windows turned opaque POTUS was candid and talked to us as a father would to his sons. Doc can use all the ambiguous diagnosis in the world but the imp mafia never fails to provide the two of us with the truth.

For once, as President I am going to be proactive. You two are going into semi-retirement before I have to attend your funeral at Arlington. Close up any projects that require immediate attention and then let SecDef know to cut your orders posting you to the Army War College. You will spend the balance of your careers training the future leaders of our military. The only other project you will be allowed to work on is finding and selecting your replacements. Your base commander and his adjutant are more than adequate to handle the day to day responsibilities until you can find your replacements.

Don't fight me on this because I will retire you outright if I must. I will not HAVE another General BURIED on my watch!

POTUS and SecDef stayed and enjoyed our evening meal and then rose to address our men. Advising them of the purpose of his visit to Fort Connor your Commanding Generals are being reassigned to the Army War College to share their invaluable experiences.

The men were in shock and disbelief at the actions of POTUS and losing their Commanding Generals they considered their personal friends. No unit in the United States Military had ever gone face to face with a nuclear missile and survived. That alone had created a "band of brothers" that was unbreakable.

We all answer to POTUS and we knew he was doing this out of love and concern for us. Still, the loss of Alpha Zulu and Fort Connor will feel like part of my heart being torn out when we are forced to leave here.

Arkyn and I escorted POTUS and SecDef to Air Force One and watched them fly away to fight the many battles that faced them in Washington.

Arkyn and I returned to our quarters and as the door closed, I broke into uncontrollable tears at the thought of losing the family we had created here. Arkyn held me, kissed me and walked me to our bedroom. He made tender passionate love to me that night. We would always have each other and the countless number of imps who consider us their "fathers". We would never be alone.

It was no surprise for Luke to fly into Fort Connor the next morning on his new Alpha Zulu Actual G1000 superliner. Maintenance had multiple orgasms in their BDUs just drooling over the plane. Asking to meet with us privately after our morning staff meeting, he candidly admitted he was part of the conspiracy as to what happened yesterday.

Put in your time at the War College and get your thirty year pension plus all the perks that comes with wearing those six stars. By the time you are ready to go to inactive service the Generals we had replace Dale and Dwight with our combined foundation program will be ready to step down and replacing them would be such a rewarding end to your two magnificent careers. Not to mention helping many imps on the way.

When the shock of the past few days becomes reality, talk with me and let us Worthingtons make your senior years a legacy every person in the military or civilian world will strive to attain.

You two are the "fathers" in my life and it will be a sad day that will tear my heart apart when I attend your funeral at Arlington.

Luke was in tears as he exited our conference room and immediately return to the airfield, boarded Worthington Actual as he headed back to the business world and being a C.E.O. The Luke we spoke with today was our friend and "family".

It took us a few weeks to clear the projects we had started and wanted to complete. We notified SecDef we would hold the "Change of Command" ceremony the following Friday. (One last meal of Prime Rib of Buffalo!) We slept in our quarters for the last night and boarded an Executive Jet to spend some quality time with the Worthingtons before we headed off to the War College.

The Worthingtons were always great to be around and we were surprised to have so many of our family join us at this fair well gala. Arkyn and I were shocked when we gathered in the great room after our evening meal, we were presented with a small non-descript box given by all of our "extended family" present. Arkyn and I were puzzled to open the box to find a key. A key to what?

Everyone joined in proudly stating Penthouse #1! You have a life lease on the Penthouse. So, don't be a stranger when you have time off and we expect to be invited to your "open house" so make sure the bar is well stocked.

In all the years Arkyn and I have been together we have never had a place to call our own. And, now to have such a fantastic residence, I couldn't imagine how much we truly were loved by every person present. Yes, Mama Bear had instilled values in her family beyond my comprehension. "Thank you" seemed so inadequate for the gift received. Controlling my tears, I took Arkyn by the hand and told our friends assembled there was only one way to celebrate this great gift.

As I walked Arkyn out of the Worthington Penthouse, our friends started the chant: "Get A Room, Get A Room, Get A Room"! Carrying Arkyn through the door to OUR HOME he knew by sunrise his ass would be destroyed and I knew as soon as he could walk my ass would be in the same condition. Yes, two gay men in love... can you expect any less.

About 1pm the following day, a messenger from the Pentagon arrived with our sealed orders assigning us to the Army War College in Carlisle, PA. Luke was on our coms almost immediately stating he was taking us to Pennsylvania in Alpha Zulu Actual... perhaps not as luxurious as your flying billboard but our Gulfstream G1000 turns many a head wherever we land. No arguments, Luke would pick us up at 0700 hours and John would be joining us.

To say the War College Superintendent was concerned, it was the first time in the history of the War College two permanent instructors out ranked the Superintendent. (And, by four stars!) He was warm and cordial but obviously concerned about making this relationship work. Assuring him we were here at the direct command of POTUS and we had no appeal. We'll work cooperatively with all staff and that includes you Superintendent. Just point us where we are billeted and give us our class assignments.

Arkyn and I were assigned an aide to assist us the first two weeks till we got the "lay of the land". Yes, with so many officers this was a political bombshell, especially with officers from foreign countries. It was a good six months before our fellow instructors accepted us and finally our "students" came around that we were just another pair of instructors.

As Arkyn and I were craving a deep dish pizza late one night, we got into casual clothes and headed out to the local pizza joint. We never got off campus and we heard and watched our home explode. Roger was looking after us tonight and I'll need to make it to the Chapel and give thanks.

As the local Fire Department responded to the emergency the Superintendent offered us the comfort of his guest room until new quarters could be found. The minute the fire inspector gave the report of "arson by persons unknown"... POTUS was on our coms ordering us back to Washington. "Lock yourselves away in your Penthouse until we can figure out what to do with you two!" DISCONNECT!

Alpha Zulu Actual descended upon the local airport with over 100 armed soldiers. POTUS wasn't taking any chances and we had fighter jet escort the complete trip back to Andrews. The Worthington armored limousine met us at the main gate and we had a police and security force escort to the Marriott. Executive Security had been doubled by Luke and they had been advised by POTUS we were in LOCKDOWN until he could figure out what to do with us.

Arkyn and I spent a week locked down in our gothic prison. Finally, there was a knock at the door and a three star general (lackey for POTUS) only commented: "With the President's compliments, you are invited for dinner 2000 hours tonight"! The man should be a magician as quickly as he disappeared.

Time for us to face our destiny and we both wondered if requesting going to inactive status wasn't the best option at the moment. We would hear what POTUS had to say but going "inactive" was a major option from our point of view.

Asking Luke if he had time to visit us "Prisoners" confined to this beautiful "cell"... he commented he'd clear his desk and be there as soon as possible.

A few hours later Luke knocked at the door and only commented to break out the Scotch. Advising him of our command performance with POTUS tonight we wanted to know what timeline he was considering for us to assume the leadership of the combined foundations.

Luke advised he insisted we take a few months of vacation including a jaunt to our Virgin Island paradise and you know you have offers from dozens of "heads of state" to visit. Rest and Relax and when you come back refreshed, we will meet with the current leadership of the foundation and work out a relaxed "change of command".

At 1930 hours the limousine from the White House arrived and we joined POTUS for his evening meal precisely at 2000 hours. It was no surprise to see SecDef also in attendance. We were surprised when no business was discussed over dinner. Adjourning to his great room and well supplied with 20 year old Scotch... it was time to talk about the "Elephant" in the room.

"What do we do with you two?"

Arkyn and I acknowledged that both men present had posted us to the War College out of concern for our safety. It appears we are a target of someone regardless of us commanding Alpha Zulu. We are far safer at Fort Connor and we do so enjoy the role of Commanding Generals. I know the base general will welcome us back with open arms and our recommendation to you Mr. President is to reappoint us back to Alpha Zulu as their Commanding Generals. We are far safer living around 400+ armed special forces soldiers who are ready to respond to any emergency immediately.

And, to be totally honest with both you Mr. President and the Secretary of Defense... Luke Worthington has approached us to head the combined foundation programs with the current men stepping down in a few years. We will make it a priority to find our replacements in a timely manner because the satisfaction of finding FOREVER HOMES for orphaned imps will truly fulfill a need both of us desire in our "retirement years".

After a refilling his scotch (Double and neat) POTUS commented we were correct. He'd take us off of "house arrest" and hoped we would get out and about and enjoy the great city of Washington. Luke would be advised to double security escorting us if we left the Penthouse and with not less than TWO Wolf War Dogs accompanying us.

SecDef will cut the orders and you can arrive at Fort Connor on Monday and have the formal Change of Command at your convenience. Please forgive an "old fool" for over reacting... I was only trying to protect two men I love and consider family.

After consuming far too much Scotch, we thanked POTUS for being such a gracious host and headed back to the Marriott and our "Luxury Prison Cell" for a few more days. We enjoyed a 1000 hour brunch with the Worthingtons the next day and Luke commented we had been ordered to see the sights to let the head of our security detail know our desires and our schedule at least a day in advance. POTUS would have his balls hanging on the White House flag pole if anything happened to either of you two. We were expected to wear our ballistic armor and our new ceramic flak vests or you'll be spending the next few days in handcuffs and leg shackles. And, there is no appeal! Accept your fate from the people that love you!

When the imp mafia announced to the men of Fort Connor we were returning on Monday and would again be their leaders the base was in celebration. Every off duty man greeted us as Luke's beautiful G1000 superliner landed at Fort Connor. Even being us, security checked us in and Doc was there to remind us our first visit at Fort Connor was to his medical. (Some things never change or would we ever want Doc to change!)

We no more than exited Medical and our coms sounded off POTUS requesting an emergency conference with you two Generals. Send him through to our conference room. As the screen descended, we saw the face of a very distraught POTUS.

"Generals, this isn't the way I wanted to start your return to the Command of Alpha Zulu." I have to be the bearer of bad news that D.G. was shot a few hours ago and is in surgery at the moment with the doctors offering little hope for his survival. The situation is fluid and I have to pass the buck to you two to notify his fathers. Whatever he needs, whoever he needs... just let SecDef or me know and it will be done. God speed!

From the look on our faces our close friend knew this wasn't going to be a conversation he would enjoy. There is no easy way to tell you that D.G. has been shot and is in critical condition in surgery as we speak. Alpha Zulu Actual is fueled and waiting for you and your partner to get airborne. Security is being loaded and waiting for your arrival. You two are "fathers" and the Command Master Sergeant will head the security detail. Whatever you need, whoever you need just contact POTUS or SecDef. Our prayers go with you.

We watched our two good friends fly off to face their destiny. Both Arkyn and I hoped that the next time we wore our dress uniforms it wouldn't be to attend the funeral of D.G.

The minute Luke learned of the situation he had Worthington Intelligence gathering all the specific available on the attack. It appears D.G. was just in the wrong place and the wrong time and ended up being collateral damage. It was a robbery in progress when he entered a store and it spooked the robbers who opened fire. Two store employees were killed and our D.G. is now fighting for his life.

A statewide manhunt is now in progress for the robbers. The store security video made for easy identification of the shooters and every law enforcement personnel in the state has a picture of the two men. Plus, every media in the state is showing regular alerts with the picture of the two suspects. This totally appears to be a robbery gone wrong, but we won't know for certain until and if the suspects are taken alive.

Luke immediately contacted the head of the hospital and advised him of Alpha Zulu security would soon be onsite to protect the victim. Also, anything you need, anyone you need just let me know and I have the complete assurance from the White House it will be done.

Always of immediate concern is blood. D.G. was using up the hospital's supply of his blood type. Luke assured the hospital of an immediate emergency supply of blood and it was delivered by an armed military escort within the hour. D.G. wouldn't have survived his 12 hours of surgery without the additional blood supply.

What a way to start our first day back. Arkyn only looked at me and commented we do what we do best: Protect that imp!

We joined the off duty men in the Chapel as Cardinal Emmanuel offered a Mass for our injured friend. "We pray to God for the survival of our friend but if it be thy will, please welcome him into heaven and the eternal rest of his soul." Yes, Roger was on duty and he was in no hurry to escort D.G. to the gates of heaven. He'd give the doctors every chance to save this precious imp.

We had been so concerned about D.G. no one thought to ask the condition of his security detail. The two men who were accompanying him had been shot but their ceramic armor kept them from any life threatening wound. They would be hospitalized but should make a complete recovery. From the blood spray at the crime scene, it appears one or more of the suspects sustained a serious wound. They won't get far without medical attention.

Every hospital, doctor, doctor's office, medical clinic, veterinarian and vet clinic within 100 miles of Boston had been notified and alerted to the possibility of the two suspects needing medical attention. With all the media attention and alerts, every source of legal medical attention had been alerted. One suspect had the choice of bleeding to death or surrendering to authorities.

His partner made the choice for him as he put a 9mm bullet between his eyes. Now we had a single suspect on the run and we had lost the one source of potential vital information.

We were surprised to hear of the Harvard Chapel being full of fellow students in an impromptu prayer service for D.G. Yes, his fellow students loved him and little did we all know how much one of them was in love with our D.G.

We have seen many miracles during our tenure at Fort Connor with surviving a Nuclear Missile being one of the unbelievable. We all believed in the power of prayer and there was always a long line when Doc needed to refresh his blood supply. (Our resident vampire always wanted our blood!)

There was a vigil of concerned soldiers for D.G. We all helped him grow into such a fine young man and we loved him with all of our being. If the base hadn't been locked down there would have been a black ops team on the ground hunting the remaining suspect. He would have been begging to be turned over to the authorities after a few minutes of retribution from our soldiers.

Finally, the doctors announced our D.G. was out of the woods and should make a full recovery. The fathers collapsed from physical exhaustion and stress. A few hours of sleep and a big urn of strong black coffee and they were ready to face a new day.

Both fathers were holding his hands when D.G. finally woke after his surgery. He knew how much his dads loved him, but he had yet to tell them his one big secret. He was in love with a fellow student on campus. D.G. was shopping for a ring so he could propose marriage when he was shot. He now wondered how tight a leash his fathers would demand after he was released from the hospital.

After his fathers left to go to the cafeteria, D.G. asked to talk with the Command Master Sergeant his old friend. "Can you arrange to sneak a fellow student in here after hours, PLEASE! The Command Master Sergeant knew this had to be something special and only asked for the name of the student. The Command Master Sergeant quickly assigned two trusted soldiers to find this person and escort him to the hospital covertly.

A few hours later a smiling Command Master Sergeant escorted his guest into D.G.'s room. The smile on D.G.'s face was radiant as he held out his hands and his friend rushed into them. As they gently embraced the love between them was so obvious.

D.G. was crying when he told his friend he was shot when he was out shopping for an engagement ring. Tonight was the night I was to tell you I wanted to be with you for all eternity. His friend only smiled as he took a box out of his pocket and told D.G. he had had this for a week trying to find the nerve to ask him to be his partner for life. Slipping the ring onto D.G.'s finger, the two kissed passionately and the smell of fresh young cum permeated the room.

The Command Master Sergeant quietly slipped into the shadow and allowed our two young lovers the alone time they deserved. The fun will be in the morning when this revelation was announced to the fathers.

Promptly at 0800 hours the fathers walked into D.G.'s room to the shock of a young guest sitting at his bedside. D.G. was all smiles as he informed his fathers this is the young man who has stolen my heart and has agreed to be my partner for eternity. What could they say, they can support his decision or loose their son. Time to pull in a favor from Luke and have him do a deep security dive on this young man.

The fathers spent the majority of the morning with D.G. and his love telling "dads" about how they met and all the wonderful moments they had together this past year. (Not those moments you sickos!) Considering D.G's gang rape they took their sex life very slowly and other than some hot bouts of oral sex they hadn't consummated any carnal acts.

One set of parents down one to go. Asking to borrow the Command Master Sergeant laptop, it was time to video conference with the "in-laws" and for their son to come out of the closet when he admits he is marrying D.G. As he met the mother and father of his love, his mom smiled and knew for years this was in her son's future. Dad was mature enough to know if he fought this marriage, he would loose his son. Internalizing his displeasure, "Dad" welcomed D.G. into their family. Finally, the parents realized D.G was in a hospital bed and were concerned that he had been injured. Finally, they realized he was the young man the media had been talking about the past few hours being shot during a botched robbery... they were concerned about his injuries.

D.G. assured them he had the best doctors available in this hospital and he would be paroled into the tender compassionate arms of the best military trauma doctors in the United States Army. I'll clear a security pass for your son so we can have our premarital counseling while I'm convalescing at Fort Connor. I hope we can have a small friends and family wedding in the Chapel at Fort Connor.

Finally, when D.G. and his lover were alone, he admitted between the short leash his dads would put on him and a demanding doctor who would show no mercy he would have no appeal as the three of them would have the total support of 400+ Alpha Zulu soldiers and their two six star Generals. RESISTANCE IS FUTILE! So, hopefully we can get our premarital counseling out of the way and once they let me walk, I can show you the beauty of Fort Connor. WARNING!!! Don't leave your billet without a pocket full of "doggie treats". Just wait till you have the experience of a 60+ pound Wolf Dog running across the parade ground, putting his paws on your shoulders and licking your face. They are big puppies at heart and can be bribed easily with doggie treats. I'll make certain your guest VIP room is well stocked with doggie treats.

Now go back to classes and visit me when you can. One of us needs to get good grades and graduate. And, it doesn't look like it will be me until next year. Sharing a passionate kiss that left both young men with raging boner they regrettably had to accept the reality of being apart.

The fathers understanding the mental stress of these two young men being so much in love and being apart helped to solve the situation as their next visit to their son in this hospital was to present him with a new tablet computer. Yuuto had designed it and configured it so the two lovers could have a secure connection during the time they were required to be apart. Just send your friend the secure URL and you two can converse securely any hour of the day or night.

D.G. wanted to hug and kiss his two fathers but simply moving that much was excruciatingly painful. The doctors say you have a minimum of two weeks in this hospital and then Doc is waiting with open arms to get you into HIS medical. Accept your fate willing because he has 400+ Alpha Zulu soldiers who will enforce his dictums. DOC RULES, so accept it!

D.G. was so impressed when he was released from the hospital. Arriving at Logan Airport a gleaming black jet with a gold "W" on the tail was waiting to fly him and his fathers to Fort Connor. As "Uncle Luke" walked down the stairs he welcomed them to his "home away from home"... "Worthington Actual". You'll be flying in comfort returning to Fort Connor.

The Fathers and D.G. were astounded at the appointments of this business jet and the pilots were more than happy to show off all the avionics their plane possessed. Most of the technical babble was above Luke's comprehension. All he could say is that this plane flies like one is relaxing on a cloud. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.

D.G. was relaxed and slept most of the way to Fort Connor. As the plane landed and the ramp extended he was greeted by every off duty soldier on base. Our two six star Generals welcomed him back and informed him of his fate. There is a five star doctor waiting for you in medical and just accept your fate because we all know DOC RULES!

A slow comfortable ride to medical awaited him and as Doc greeted our young patient he advised the fathers and Commanding Generals they all knew the visiting hours... GET WITH THE PROGRAM!

As the fathers and the Commanding Generals return to their offices it was time to tell the Generals of all the recent developments. D.G. is in love and is engaged. We need to process a security clearance for his "friend" so they can spend the summer together here at Fort Connor. CONSIDER IT DONE!

Breaking out the reserve stock of the Generals 20 year old single malt Scotch, the four men toasted to the future of D.G. and his partner for eternity.
