*=Gone but not forgotten

I contacted Doc on my wrist com and asked him to pull up Jax's medical file. What does his advanced medical directives request. Doc advised Jax had signed a "Do Not Resuscitate" order and no heroics were to be done. Doc would immediately send a copy of the file to the attending physician.

I asked the physician if my son could be with his partner. This isn't going to be easy on any of us. Returning to Shawn and Matt I told my devastated son the bad news of the trauma Jax had received. Jax had a signed medical directive on file indicating no heroics and "Do Not Resuscitate". We have no right to challenge his wishes. Matt and I held Shawn's hands as we went to spend the final moments with the man all of us loved as part of our family.

As Shawn held Jax's hand as Matt and I fought back tears the monitor alarm went off and indicated his heart had stopped. Jax was now in the hands of God and we knew Roger would welcome him as would Mason, Mama Bear and all of our Alpha Zulu family which had proceeded him.

The hospital preformed an immediate autopsy at the request of the US Assistant Attorney General and then released the body to the military. Jax was accompanied by a Guard of Honor as he flew back to be with this Brothers-In-Arms at Fort Connor.

Our two Chaplains were frantically brainstorming on a funeral service for our fallen brother. Our new Chaplain Aide was frantically learning the nuisances of his new digital electronic organ and sampling different Organs which had been electronically duplicated from all the great Cathedrals around the world. His only guideline from the Chaplains was this to be a celebration of life and not of death.

The funeral was beautiful and truly a worthy tribute to Jax. It was a terrorist "perfect storm"... everyone who was anyone in the Worthington World, the Pentagon, the White House was in attendance. We had more Navy presence around Fort Connor than when we were under missile attack and a squadron of fighter jets flying overhead continuously. The Secret Service was in "melt down" over the risk presented but POTUS over ruled them and attended.

Jax left the chapel through an honor guard of raised sabers and every soldier on base at attention as he proceeded to his plane and his final trip to Arlington National Cemetery. A private family internment with full military honors was given to this brave and dedicated soldier. The words of the Chaplain stayed with me forever: "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends".

Luke and John insisted that Shawn, Matt and I return with them to the Penthouse just to have some quiet time and attempt to absorb all that had happened in the past few days. Shawn retreated to his bedroom and we all understood his need to be alone. After a few hours and we hadn't heard or seen him I knocked at his door and not getting any response entered. Shawn was unconscious with an open bottle of sedatives spilled on the bed side table. I hit my panic button and Worthington Security rushed to our aid. Their medic on site administered Narcon which had an almost immediate effect. Matt and I held our son between us and cried with him. WHY? He just handed us his smart phone and we read the Email that triggered this destructive episode. Shawn was being denied his degree for missing his final accounting exam. Luke was livid!

Luke went into immediate CEO mode and definitely not something that is enjoyable if you are on the other end of the conversation. He immediately contacted the head of the Business Department at the University and asked why there was no consideration given considering the facts of the case.

The answer of "It is our policy..." only inflamed him more and there was no option for any appeal. Shawn would need to take the class over again next term. Thanking him for his lack of being anything resembling a human being, Luke was enraged more than any of us had ever seen him.

The next call was to the President of the University who knew well the money Worthington Industries provided the University in research each year. Luke made it apparently clear that if this problem wasn't resolved by close of business today he would guarantee the top ten donors to the University would cancel any further money for the next ten years and his fathers would hold a press conference for the White House reporters with the President and Vice-President at their side castigating the University and making their lack of respect and humanity public knowledge. Luke closed with the comment: "THIS ISN'T A THREAT, THIS IS A PROMISE!"

Within an hour OPS advised Luke had a call from the President of the University. The University President apologized profusely and saying the problem had been resolved. Shawn had either received confirmation of his degree being awarded or would shortly. Whether or not he wished to attend the graduation ceremony was totally at his discretion and they would understand his decision.

As for our egocentric and uncooperative Dean of the School of Business... he is now on academic suspension and can either accept an early retirement or appeal his suspension to the University Board of Regents. If he is allowed to return I guarantee you it will be teaching a business 100 level class for the balance of his tenure here. His action were without human consideration and do not reflect the dedication and concern we have for members of our student body. Please accept our heartfelt apology from the entire faculty and administration.

The words of Mama Bear rang through the Penthouse: "What good is power if you can't use it!" She would be so proud of her son... he was not only a leader of business but a man of compassion.

Shawn paid the price for his stupidity as after the Narcan took effect the emetic the paramedic gave him kept him kneeling at the "Porcelain Throne" most of the night. The next day wasn't much better as the Charcoal "chaser" they also insisted he take was such a delightful experience.

When we returned to Fort Connor and had to face Doc for our normal medical intake I could hear and feel the walls shaking as Doc processed Shawn back into Fort Connor. Shawn had a verbal "ass chewing" like I never knew existed in the Army. Doc asked Matt and I to join them and gave all of us his medical directive. Shawn was on "Suicide Watch" till further notice. All lethal objects were to be removed from our quarters. Shawn would have a security team with him 24 hours a day armed with Tasers and orders to use them at the first indication of any incident. Shawn would have mandatory counseling sessions as directed by the Chaplain. Failure to abide by any of these medical directive would have Shawn immediately admitted to a secure psychiatric facility. Any appeal can be made to 1st Sergeant Alexander! DISMISSED!!!

Security was sweeping our quarters as we arrived back and Tommy and Bobby were somewhat embarrassed when their quarters were inspected as well. Tommy should have no reason to be embarrassed at the number of times he put Isaac on the disabled list. But, my sweet little Bobby starting to realize that sex was more than procreation it also was for enjoyment. I sure couldn't fault him for that.

After the family told Shawn how stupid a jerk he was they held him, loved him and told him they would do anything they could to help him. Bobby and Tommy knew what it felt like to lose someone they loved. They would be instrumental in bringing back the loving son Shawn was in the life of his fathers.

Shawn's first comment to the Chaplain was: "Get it over with, it is your turn to chew out my ass for my stupidity!" It appears from your comment the Worthingtons, your fathers, your family and especially Doc have already accomplished that task. You are aware of your stupidity and how much it hurt your family and friends. Now let's get to the root of the problem and the grief you feel over losing the man you loved and was your partner in life.

After a few sessions the Chaplain who was an old friend with Shawn asked if he could combine their session with another soldier he was providing grief counseling over the loss of his brother who was killed in combat. Shawn knew the trauma the young man must be feeling and had no objection if it would help him through his grief. No one deserved to feel the way Shawn does.

When the Chaplain made his daily report to our administrative team Doc had to comment it seems like the Chaplain was doing a side business as a matchmaker. "NOT I!" We all smiled at the Chaplain and he knew whatever he thought was best he had the full support of every member of Alpha Zulu and Fort Connor.

We all remembered the words of Billy Bob and what it took to bring Aiden back to the loving man at the loss of Captain Manning. Some good healthy sex in Shawn's life would definitely help him to remember what he had to share with another person. Little did I realize the budding romance the Chaplain had planted over the next few months would blossom into full bloom.

Shawn came to me a few weeks after starting grief counseling with the Chaplain and asked if he could have a father and son chat with me. I knew this was a pivotal moment in his recovery and I prayed I wouldn't botch it. He shyly admitted he was having feelings for the young corporal who was going through grief counseling with him. Was it a platonic, romantic or just plain old sexual feeling. Dad, I have a hardon just sitting in the same room with him but otherwise I just love being with him. Kinda difficult to be romantic with two armed security men with Tasers four paces behind me everywhere I go.

I had a heart to heart chat about how Jax was selected to be his bodyguard and how we had warned him every step of the way the danger he faced. He never once hesitated to commit himself 100% to protect you. When it was apparent he had deep personal feelings for you we had a "man to man" chat about his intentions and how it would affect you if he was injured or killed. He was adamant that he wanted you to go on living, have a lover, a partner, to be happy, to have a future and to raise a son for him. Shawn was in tears and claps tight to my chest as we cried together. I knew we had a breakthrough, I still wondered what the future held for the son I loved.

Why don't you invite the young man for a family dinner Friday night and let him meet the family. I'll talk with Doc and the Chaplain about giving you a weekend parole from your security detail. When I shared the good news at our next staff meeting a reluctant Doc and a very happy Chaplain agreed to giving the security detail the night off just so we fathers keep Shawn on a tight leash. General Jackson stated he would have a "man to man" chat with the young corporal and let him know his fate if he hurt Shawn physically or emotionally.

The Chaplain knew how important this moment was in Shawn returning to being a loving son and having a wonderful future. During their next counseling session his new Aide (ON CUE) excused his intrusion but the Chaplain was needed on an urgent call from Washington. Begging the forgiveness of his "patients" he excused himself leaving the two or converse on their own. Shawn started by saying he would understand if you don't want to accept but my family is inviting you for dinner on Friday night. The smile on the young corporals' face left no doubt as to his acceptance. We can go together after retreat and I promise you I'm paroled from the security escort for the weekend.

Our young corporal was terrified when his squad sergeant informed him he was to report to the office of General Jackson. "Reporting as ordered, Sir!" Have a seat corporal. We need to talk about you and Shawn. You need to assure me your intentions are honorable or you are on the first plane out of here headed for Alaska. "Sir, is it that obvious that I'm falling in love with him." "I apologize if I have crossed the line and offended anyone." "I would never do anything to hurt Shawn!"

General Jackson assured him he had done nothing wrong but he seriously advised our young Corporal to "come clean" with Shawn after their dinner on Friday night and see how the two felt about each other before one or both of them got hurt. As terrified as the corporal was he thanked the General for his advice and asked to be excused. (He needed to put on dry underwear and see if the Chaplain had time for a private session before Friday.)

The entire staff of Fort Connor was anxious for this to be such a special night. Our new Chef made an extreme effort to have a special meal served and every nuisance to make it a romantic night which wasn't lost on our two younger son. (I felt so sorry for Isaac, I hoped he would be able to walk to flag raising in the morning.) Mark just had some fantastic orgasms compliments of Bobby's talented mouth and tongue. Not to mention a few hickeys where Bobby lost control with all his hugs and kisses.

Shawn proudly introduced his young friend as Corporal Randy Johnson. We quickly advised him when he was a guest in our home it was a first name basis with all of the family. Matt and I commented to our young corporal we were sorry to hear about the loss of his brother. He only commented his brother died protecting his men and their isn't a more nobler death for a man in the Army than to sacrifice himself to save his "brothers". Shawn started to tear up and our corporal held him securely in his arms and comforted Shawn on his loss and on his poor judgement in his last comment.

Shawn responded by wrapping his arms around Corporal Randy and giving him a passionate kiss that took the entire family by shock. Matt and I only commented your comment definitely seems to have been appropriate. As fathers you have our deepest gratitude.

Our younger family members were excused to shower and call it a night and their "protectors" were excused to their rooms. We four remaining adjourned to our living area for a heart to heart chat with our young couple and set the guidelines for their future.

"First, Matt and I want to thank you corporal for all the help you have given the Chaplain for getting our son this far on his road to recovery." "We never intended for this to become a romantic situation but we definitely won't stand in the way of two people who have feelings for one another."

Looking at the size of the erections in your BDUs it is apparent you have physical feelings and desires for one another and I suggest you two retire to Shawn's room and fulfill what is in your hearts and minds. Just talk to us and keep us in the loop. Forget the stars on our shoulders and just consider us two loving fathers.

Matt and I quietly adjourned to our bedroom and held each other hoping the night was the start of healing the mind and body of our son. When Shawn didn't show for flag raising and breakfast I had Doc check his wrist monitor to make sure he was still alive. Doc assured us fathers our son was very much alive and definitely very active. You could hear the news travel from one end of the camp to the other. Our young corporal had his duty covered by his friends for the next week. Everyone on base would do anything to help Shawn heal. This wasn't done by a command order, this was done out of love to help a fellow "brother" heal from this tragic moment in his life.

When Shawn and Randy finally emerged from their self-imposed exile Sunday night Randy thanked us fathers and said unfortunately he had to return to duty. Matt candidly commented he would find his duty shift covered by his friends for the next week. The look of shock on Randy's face was only surpassed by the SMILE on Shawn's as he took Randy's hand and walked him back into his room and the entire family rejoiced as the lock set on their bedroom door.

At breakfast I made our new Chef aware of what was happening and my sons would deliver food trays till our romantic couple emerged from the lovefest. Just make certain they have enough calories onboard to survive this non-stop sexual orgy. Matt and I had to smile and I lost it when Matt said he regretted having their bedroom soundproofed. "You are just an old pervert!" Matt quipped back: "And, don't you forget it." "You wouldn't love me any other way!!!"

Wednesday morning as Matt and I returned from breakfast Shawn was helping Randy out of their bedroom and into the shower. Randy looked like the walking dead and Shawn was concerned perhaps they might have overdone it. "Like you think?" Helping our son and his friend get through their morning routine I advised Doc he would have two "WALKING WOUNDED" headed his way shortly. Shawn and Randy finally have emerged from their room and are in definitely need of your tender loving care.

Unlike the ass chewing Doc gave Shawn the last time they met Doc was totally out of character being the kind and considerate Doctor we all knew existed and loved. Business was business, strip down to your birthday suit, on the table and legs in the stirrups. Let's see how carried away you two young lovers went. Doc was amazed, no tears and minimal bleeding. A thorough spray coating brought immediate relief and a look of delight upon Randy's face. Doc then turned to Shawn and said: "YOUR TURN! THIS ISN'T A REQUEST!" Far better shape than your partner but just wait and I'll give you some comfort. Shawn signed as Doc's spray numbed up his ass.

"Now for the bad news... NO SEX for 14 days!!! See me immediately if you have any severe pain or any bleeding and don't wait till morning if it happens during the night. Randy's cock is pretty raw so I'd advise no oral sex either until he can stand to wear clothing. Use some of my Super Lube on it but apply it gently, giving him an erection will still cause him much discomfort till he heals.

"Now, bed REST till morning flag raising and then I want you both to resume counseling sessions with the Chaplain. They both thanked Doc profusely and hobbled back to our quarters collapsing from a sexual marathon that will live in the annals of Fort Connor.

A few weeks later I asked Matt to join me with the Chaplain. We had a very important decision to make. When we asked the Chaplain what he thought about us asking Randy to be Shawn's bodyguard. The Chaplains response was concise and without reservation. Whether you ask him to be a bodyguard or not there is no doubt in my mind he would take a bullet for Shawn without hesitation.

I contacted Luke and asked him to have Security see what was available in a secure firearm vault that had easy yet controlled access. I needed four of them installed in my quarters at Fort Connor ASAP. I wasn't surprised two days later when Security was installing four fire arm safes that could be accessed by palm print. They would hold four Glocks and two Uzi's each. Matt and my handprint had valid access to all four vaults and the each of the bodyguards had access to the remaining three. They could add Shawn, Tommy and Bobby as appropriate in the future.

When Shawn entered his bedroom that night he asked what the contraption on the wall was for. Matt and I informed him it was a gun vault for his new bodyguard. We informed our son we were asking Randy to accept the position as his new bodyguard. Shawn begged us not to put him in danger. We then assured him we had discussed this with the Chaplain and whether Randy was armed or not he would take a bullet meant for you. He is safer being armed. If you really want him as part of your life and future this is the safest way for both of you.

Luke was more proactive then us fathers and advised General Jackson he had HR and his Security Team do a "deep dive" on Randy and he came out "squeaky clean" as anyone can be. The rest is up to "CUPID".

After our morning staff meeting I asked Randy's Sergeant to have him report to my office at his earliest convenience. "Corporal Johnson reported as order, Sirs!" This is an official General to Corporal meeting. We need a new bodyguard for Shawn and we are asking if you have any interest in the position. It means being with him 24 hours a day. The Chaplain assures us you are the man for the job. The only question remaining if you will accept the responsibility. You are well aware of the danger it entails. Our corporal thanked us for our trust and the offer. He would never violate the trust we had given him. He would protect Shawn with his life whether we asked him to be his bodyguard or remain as his friend.

We dismissed the corporal telling him to report to OPS to have security program his palm print to our gun vaults. We reminded him Shawn still wasn't cleared to have firearm access. We assured him Shawn would be eager to help him move his personal belongings into our quarters. Just don't try to set any world records in the bedroom, please. You are giving Tommy a challenge I don't want him living up to!

I advised the Chaplain of the outcome of our conversation with Corporal Johnson to keep him in the loop. I now know why Luke, John and Logan feel such a commitment to the man. It is going to be fun to see Corporal Randy and his first introduction into the world of the Worthington. Even with Shawn guiding him it is going to be culture shock at its finest.

I would have given anything to see the look on our young Corporal's face when he opened his new dress uniforms to find the rank insignia of an Army Captain on the shoulders. "Oops, did I forget to mention that small detail!" as the family lost it in uncontrollable laughter. Shawn just held Captain Johnson tight and kissed him with passion that gave everyone present a raging hardon. Before you two sneak off for the night we have one official function left. You Captain need to take your Commissioning Oath.

After Matt and I had finished administering the Oath, Shawn just looked at us and informed his family he had his own private celebration planned for Captain Johnson. To the chant of "GET A ROOM" Shawn lead our new Captain to his bedroom and we could hear to door close and the locks set. The entire family thought it was a great idea and retired for the evening. I commented to Matt did he realize how fast Bobby headed to his bedroom... nah, he's still too young yet. Matt's only comment was: "And, how old were you?" Damn, another potential sex maniac in the family.

The next time Luke and I were together for a meeting I pulled him aside and asked if he would like a challenge to see if he could pull another "rabbit out of his hat". "GO FOR IT!" I'd like a large format picture of Roger at the entrance to every Roger's House and I want a custom frame for it. Engraved around the frame I want the scripture the Chaplain used for Jax's funeral: "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends". If you can find something in multiple sizes send me some artwork as I'd like to have them made for all our fallen brothers-in-arms and I know Shawn will want one of Jax for his quarters to go with the flag from his coffin. Matt and I definitely want one of Roger for our quarters. Luke had to dry his eyes and said he would give it his highest priority.

Talk about a snowball rolling downhill... the minute the Chaplain got wind of our project he immediately asked for the details and wanted to requisition them for the Chapel. General Jackson went one step further and changing the engraving wanted engraved frames for pictures of every commanding officer of Fort Connor from General Master, Randy and Adam through current commanders. What started as a simple thought was turning into a major contract for some firm. As Luke would comment: "That why we have a purchasing department!"

The summer construction was fast approaching when the piles of material start piling up behind our maintenance area. I was shocked when one remote area of Fort Connor was suddenly partitioned off with double rows of electrified fence and new high end electronic land mines. When I asked Luke or Logan about it I was simple told it was on a "NEED TO KNOW" basis and I didn't need to know yet.

Watching the obvious over the summer it was apparent it was a small mansion being built. Finally, when the finishing touches were being done Luke, John, Logan and Alex flew into Fort Connor and asked if Matt and I would like a tour of THEIR project. The minute I saw the Presidential Seal on the door it all became too clear. We all know the nomination of the presidential candidates will happen shortly and it is known to the insiders that POTUS is in poor health. If he decides to run he won't survive for four years and that information is classified. Dale is his protégé and is being groomed to fill the office. He may be the first President since FDR to serve more than eight years in office.

Yes, Camp David will still exist but with the assistance of the Secret Service very little additional work needs to be done to make this a secure retreat for a President of the United States. We are just tweaking the finishes so any comments are appreciated.

The retreat rivaled Camp Phoenix and was constructed much like it. It had space for a command center that was equal to the situation room at the White House or the Pentagon. An underground panic room had been built that was rated against a direct nuclear hit and we are waiting on specs from the Secret Service as to what physical requirements they have for their needs.

Matt quipped if Dale doesn't like it Jason and I will take it in a heartbeat. You'll just have to change the seal on the doors. Logan stated those doors weight two tons each and cost over $100,000.00 USD. They aren't being modified. OK, OK... Matt smiled and said he could live with the Presidential Seal on the door which had us all laughing uncontrollably.

Obviously, this is all highly classified and would destroy any political future Dale could have if it became public knowledge. Even being built with private Worthington monies it would hurt Dale politically and none of us want that to happen.

It was no surprise to Matt or me when within the year Captain Johnson approached us in private and ask for permission to ask our Son to be his partner in this life and in the next. We assured him he would have our permission to marry Shawn with the approval of the Chaplain. The final decision rests with Shawn. I asked Captain Johnson to wait a minute while I searched my desk for a small package. Jax asked me to keep this safe as it was an anniversary gift for Shawn and I can't think of a better way for you two to celebrate his life as part of your future than for you to propose to him with it. Matt was impressed with a simple but beautifully engraved gold band. I assured him there would be no problem setting a diamond in it if he felt he had to make it "his own".

You could feel the tension throughout Fort Connor as the moment approached Randy was to ask Shawn to be his partner for life and eternity. The memorial garden was the traditional spot at Fort Connor for proposals and this was the ideal place. The fragrant flowers, a cool breeze off the ocean, the start of a beautiful moonlight night and two lovers walking hand in hand. Suddenly Captain Randy fell to one knee opened the ring box giving it to Shawn and begged Shawn to be his partner in this life and the next. The tears flowed down Shawn's face as his balls exploded seeping through his BDUs. "IS THAT A YES?" "Yes, yes and YES!!!" I'd say we need to tell your parents and let the rest of the base know but I believe the grapevine has already beat us to doing it.

Let's head back to our room and see how many more accidents we can enjoy tonight. It was a race across camp and a quick trip to their bedroom, the door closing and locking. Matt turned to me and said: "It appears our son said YES." I turned to Matt and my only comment was: "I hope and pray our children outlive us!"
