Chapter 32 - Don't call me mister

Back at the hospital Ethan is by Timmy's bed.

"Hey buddy! How are you feeling?"

"I don't feel so good, mister."

"Hey, don't call me mister. I'm Ethan, the fireman and Andrew's dad." Ethan didn't want to worry the boy by mentioning he was his foster dad.

"Oh, I member you. You rode with me in the helicopter. I wish I could have seen out as we flew."

"You were in pretty bad shape, but maybe I can find a way to get you up in a helicopter ride when we get you out of here."

"Really? That would be fun."

Ethan knew the pilot of the fire chopper, and figured he could pull some strings to get Timmy a ride. Andrew would probably love a ride too.

"You're doing great, buddy. The doctors say you may be out of here in a week. That's exciting, isn't it?"

Timmy looked terrified.

"NO!" he shouted. "I'm not going back!"

"Oh, no, Timmy, we won't let you go back. My friend Sarah is going to find you a nice home where you will never be hurt again."

"I don't believe you."

"Trust me, Sarah won't lie to me and I won't lie to you."

Just then, Sarah walked in. "Hi boys, how are you doing, Timmy?"

"I'm sore and these tubes are hurting me." Timmy said, patting the port on his arm."

"I'm sure it hurts Timmy, it looks very painful, but the good news is that you won't have to have it for very long. The doctor just told me that your body has reacted positively and they think you'll be fine in a week."

"Where will I go?"

"That's why I'm here. Well, actually, I'm here for a few reasons. Before we talk about where you will go, let me get to know you some more, OK?"

"Sure, Ms. Sarah."

"So, tell me some of the things you like?"

"I like puppies, playing baseball, listening to music, oh, and I like riding my bike."

Sarah was taking notes. "Oh, I like puppies and music too. What kind of music do you like?"

"I don't know. I really like listening to this new kid, Joey Murphey. He just put out an album called `Just Joey' I was listening to it when, when, when Norman started kicking me. He said it wasn't cool to be listening to Joey unless I was a little fag boy. That only girls liked Joey."

Sarah was shocked. "Well, I happen to know a lot of boys that like Joey's music. And its not very nice to call you that. There's no reason to be calling you names or kicking you."

"Well, I don't like girls."

"Timmy, how old are you?"

"I'm eight, Ms. Sarah. I turn nine in a few weeks."

"Well, let me tell you, Mr. Timmy." That made Timmy giggle. Being called Mister. "I don't know many eight-year-olds or almost nine-year-olds that DO like girls. So who cares? Even if you like boys, it doesn't matter."

"Yeah, none of my friends like girls. They say they have cooties."

"See? So Norman, he's going to be in trouble for what he did to you, and he won't ever hurt you again. I'm going to find you a new family that will be able to love you just as much as you want. I'm even going to try to find one with a puppy, but I can't make any promises."

"Really? Thank you, Ms. Sarah."

"I've got to talk to Mr. Ethan here for a bit, but I'll be back in a couple of days. In the mean time, you're going to be in good hands here."

"I'm scared." Timmy begged.

"Don't be scared, you're safe." Ethan told him as he walked Sarah to the door.

They closed the door to Timmy's room and walked to the waiting area where the two sat. Ethan went to the vending machine and got a Fanta for him and a Diet Coke for Sarah.

"Ethan, I know it's a lot to ask, but we need someone to be with him. What can we do?"

"Would it be OK if Andrew and Zach came to visit? What about Grandma?" Ethan asked.

"That would be wonderful. I'm going to talk to the hospital about getting a bed set up in there so someone can be with him. I'm sure sleeping in that chair wasn't much fun. "

"No, it wasn't."

"I'm also going to talk to the therapy team. I have an idea."

"Don't worry, Sarah, I'll make sure someone is with him every night. But I need to get home. Could you take me home? I'll tell Timmy that I'll be back later. I think he's OK to sleep off the afternoon, and they're taking him to dialysis again, so he won't miss me."

"Sure, let's go tell him and get you home to your boy."

As they were driving, Sarah was quiet. She was busy thinking. Ethan was lost in thought too and was missing Andrew. They got to the shelter where Ethan's truck was and parted ways. Ethan headed directly to Zach's house.

When he pulled up, he was shocked. His coworkers were there with Andrew strapped to a gurney. Ethan nearly crashed, parked his truck behind the rig, and ran to Andrew's side. "Buddy, what happened? Are you OK?" Ethan was scanning for blood, other injuries, something. He couldn't see anything. What was wrong? His co-worker pulled him back. "Thomas, he's going to be fine. The family called us thinking he was having a heart attack or something, but it was just a panic attack. He insisted on going to the hospital to be sure, so we packed him up. Go talk to him, calm him down."

Zach had run to Ethan. "I'm sorry Ethan, he just, he was having a hard time breathing, he collapsed, I didn't know what else to do."

"You did the right thing." He took Zach with him to Andrew. "Buddy, what's going on? Were you tired of me and looking for a new firefighter to take you in?"

"Andrew started to get color back in his face. Ha ha! You're the only one I want. I'm sorry, Ethan. I'm sorry if I scared you. I, I, I just got my mind all screwed up thinking you were not coming back. That you were just going to stay with Timmy."

"That's silly, buddy. You know, I can't replace you. Besides, I promised you that we would be together for as long as you like." He almost slipped and said forever, but he knew his fire buddies may not understand.

"Miller, can you take his vitals?"

"Sure, Thomas." The medic took Andrew's vitals and gave him the all clear.

"Buddy, let's get you off of this thing and take you home. We don't need to bother my friends here any more. Thanks guys, we can take it from here."

"Sure thing. Andrew, get some water and breathe deeply. " Miller said as they packed up and left. "Who the hell taught you how to park, Thomas? I'm glad they never let you drive the rig!"

Andrew leaned up to whisper to Ethan. "Zach knows. He knows about us."

"Shit, I told you to be careful!"

"He's cool with it. We don't have to worry, but we also don't have to hide it in front of him."

"Well, right now I just want to get you home."

"I feel like I've been hit by a truck, I want to go home and cuddle. I want to hear about Timmy, too."

"Go grab your stuff. Zach, come here. What happened?"

"We were just talking. I think this whole thing with Timmy brought back bad memories. He was thrashing around last night in his sleep after telling me even more about what happened to him. I couldn't get him to stop, so I, I'm sorry Ethan, I kissed him."

"It's OK, I have to do that to calm him sometimes."

"I know! He called me Ethan."

"Oh."

"He freaked out when he realized it. Things were good after we talked it out, and I told him not to worry. He also promised to help me meet someone I like at school. We were just playing around when he started hyperventilating and grabbing his chest. We didn't know what to do, so we called 9-1-1."

"You did the right thing."

"Thanks, Ethan?"

"Yes."

"You're a lucky man. That boy loves you more than life. He wanted to trade places with Timmy and take Timmy's pain. He's an amazing kid. It's no secret that I love him too, but he's yours. Be good to him."

Ethan realized not only was Zach OK with them, but that Andrew had another person watching out for him. This boy was indeed special.

"Let's go, kiddo!" Ethan put his arm around Andrew's shoulder.

"Holy shit, Ethan, who taught you how to park?" Andrew joked.

"Just get in so we can get home. I need to take care of something."

"I hope it's me!" Andrew quipped.

They got home, and Andrew ran to the door, unlocked it, and ran in. Ethan was so tired from the night at the hospital that he was having trouble keeping up. When he got to the door, Andrew was nowhere to be found. He locked the door and went back to the bedroom to find a naked, sleeping boy on the bed.

He stripped, hopped in the shower to wash the funk off from sleeping in a chair all night and went into the bedroom and pulled his boy tight.

"I love you, my amazing young man! How did I get so lucky? You've been through so much, yet you still surprise me every day."

Andrew instinctively snuggled into Ethan. He rolled, so he was the little spoon. Of course, Ethan's cock was pointing the way to its desired resting place. He couldn't bring himself to make love to a sleeping boy, but knew that once the boy was awake, all bets were off.

The two went off to dreamland for a while.

Meanwhile, Sarah was on the phone to the hospital. "Yes, his name is Timmy. Wonderful, could you make sure they go by in the morning?" pause "Sure, that would be great." Sarah moved on to her next call. "Hi, Joy, it's Sarah."

"Oh hi, Sarah, long time. How are things?"

"Well, I just got a case that will break your heart, and I thought I would reach out to you to see if there is anything you can do to help me?"

"How can I help? I'm a few thousand miles away, but what can I do?"

"Are you still in touch with Joey Murphey?"

"Duh, Eric is my bestie. Isn't that kid talented?"

"Yeah, that's why I'm calling. I have a boy that was beaten so badly he almost died. His foster brother did it to him, and he's scared. I don't know how I am going to place him now."

"Sarah, you know, I can't ask Eric to take another kid. He would in a moment, but I can't do that. His life with his boys is so busy that I don't want to interrupt. He would drop everything to take the boy."

"Joy, Joy, stop. I'm not asking you to place him. I have an idea, but it's going to need your help. The boy is in love with Joey's music. Do you think that maybe you could have Joey call the boy? I can take a player over so he can listen to Joey's music too."

"These kids are all so sweet, I'm sure they will. Shoot me the details. I just happen to be going over for dinner with them tonight. I'm sure the other boys will want to hear about the boy. What's his name?"

"His name is Timmy."

"I'll be on the lookout for your email. Hurry, I'm heading over soon. Remember, time differences!"

"I know. Thank you so much! You're the best!"

"Bye. I'll let you know."

Back at the Thomas household...

Andrew started to wake up. He loved being held by Ethan. Ethan smelled fresh and was nice and warm. His cock was poking at Andrew's back door too. Andrew was able to reach the nightstand and grab the lube. He got enough on his hand to lube up his hole. It didn't take much, since he's been well used and let's just say he can easily fit Ethan in when he wants him. He took his lubed hand and grabbed Ethan's cock and pointed it at its home. Instinctively, Ethan started to thrust and hump as he was waking up. Andrew was giggling like a little kid and turned his head to kiss his lover.

"Wow! What a nice welcome home!" Ethan said between kisses. For some reason, Andrew just kept giggling. It was a beautiful sound to Ethan, as his lover was enjoying each thrust.

"Andrew. I love you so much."

"I love you too."

"You're an amazing young man. How did I get so lucky?"

"How did I get so lucky. You found me and I'll always be your boy."

Ethan was now pulling almost all the way out and slamming himself back in. Andrew was now beneath him, his dripping cock pressed against the sheets.

"Oh, Ethan, please! Ethan, show me how much you love me. Fill me with your love!"

That was it. Ethan felt Andrew's sphincter tighten and pulse. He knew the boy was shooting his load underneath him. Ethan felt his scrotum tighten and then his testicles pulsing to shoot his load into his boy. He never felt such an intense pleasure as he did this afternoon.

"Wow, Andrew, that was amazing. I missed you so much while I was with Timmy. I kept seeing him and thinking about how we met."

"I was worried that you were done with me and wanted Timmy."

"Why would you think that? You're mine. We are meant to be."

"I know, but, well, you rescued me, you rescued Timmy. Why wouldn't you move on?"

"Did you just hear yourself?"

"Yeah, What about it?"

"I didn't save Timmy. You did! If it weren't for you, he would be dead. You're the hero!"

"No, you guys saved him."

"And you, sir, are the one who helped us get to the bottom of his troubles. Now let's get into the shower and head over to the hospital. There's a beautiful little boy who has been asking for his guardian angel since we took off in the chopper. I think he has a crush on you."

"Can we get dinner on the way? My treat." Andrew offered.

"Your money is no good to me. It's on me. Hurry, let's go.

They drove to In-N-Out, had burgers, then rushed to the hospital.

"Hi Timmy, how are you?" Andrew asked as he sat next to Timmy's bed.

"I'm tired. They hook a machine up to this tube. They say it will make me better. Are you going to stay with me tonight?"

Andrew didn't know he was going to stay and just looked at Ethan with a blank stare.

"Please? I'm scared of being here alone."

"Sure, I'll stay. I'll have to miss school tomorrow, but it will be fine."

Ethan nodded.

"I'm sure the two of you have a lot to talk about. Here's some money for snacks. I'll let the nurse know you're staying. I have to head to the station. I'm on tonight. I'll have my dad or grandma come get you tomorrow."

Andrew stood up and hugged Ethan, kissed him deeply on the lips, and told him how much he loved him. "Goodnight." They said as they parted.

Timmy was giggling. "Is he, like, your boyfriend?"

"No, he's just my dad. I love him a lot. I know it's strange to kiss him like that, but it's kind of fun." Andrew realized he needed to be more careful.

The boys chatted until the nurses told them to be quiet. Andrew climbed into bed with Timmy and cuddled him through the night.
