Chapter 14 - A House of Mirrors

Josh

I am so tired this morning after being at the rodeo and then helping Dad make dinner. I remember playing a video game, but somehow, I ended up where I am now, in bed.

The bed starts to shake, but not that bad. I bet it's one of our famous California earthquakes that are so small you don't even stop what you're doing. Dad always says anything below a magnitude 4.0 isn't worth stopping for. Just as I think that's what it is, the shaking gets worse, and I start to worry, but I can't open my eyes, I'm so tired. Suddenly, I am pinned beneath my comforter and feel warm breath on my face. We don't have a dog, so I'm trying to figure out which one of my brothers is on top of me. "Stop." I protest, but the shaking only gets worse. "Max, Grayson, stop!" I plead groggily, but the pinning and shaking continue.

I hear a voice I recognize, but it's not Max or Grayson, it simply says, "Nope!"

I wiggle my arm out, wipe the sleepy crust from my eyes, and open them, only to see, no, it can't be, it's Joey Murphy! Did my poster come alive? I know we hung out with him, but is he in my bedroom? I murmur, "Joey?"

"Rise and shine, my little friend. Breakfast is ready. We've got a fair to get off to!" He says as he pulls on my arms pushing my covers down, and to Joey's surprise, I'm completely naked. I hug my new brother as he helps me off the bed, and we head out for breakfast. I can wish for him to be my brother, right?

All of us Thomas boys are naked and having breakfast with the Murphy boys. Dad hurries us along and us boys finish our breakfast, get dressed, and get ready to go to the fair.

Uncle Ethan has to work the fair because they need medical personnel to be there in case someone gets hurt. It's more important during the rodeo, though, as riders can often get hurt pretty badly. Dad tells us all, "Boys, now stay together at the fair. If you are all in a group, you can stay safe, and please don't call attention to Joey. He had a scare back in Hollyweird, so let's do our best to protect our new friend."

"You mean our brother!" I shout. Max and Grayson agree, "Yeah, the Murphys are our new brothers now."

"Fair enough," says Dad before continuing with his instructions, "let's all hop in the vehicles and head over. We've got quite a few people, so we will take the Prescott's Jeeps and the quad.

Grayson begins dancing around like he has ants in his pants, "Oh, oh, can I drive the quad, pretty please?"

Dad says he can, as long as he stays in line with the rest of the vehicles. He can't take the shortcut trail, and Grayson is fine with that. Grayson and Max hop in the quad, Joey, and I ride with Peter while Tran, Alejandro, Dad and Mr. Eric take the other Jeep.

The Fair
Josh

"I really hafta pee!" I scream jumping from the Jeep. I do the pee-pee dance until I see the restroom in the parking lot and run toward it. Dad scolds me, "You should have gone before we left! Can you wait until we get inside to use the new ones, this one is pretty gross, trust me, as a kid I ended up using this one a lot."

"But I really gotta go!" I keep running and enter the restroom, about to burst, and soon realize how right Dad was about this place.

Immediately, the stale air in this old brick building overwhelms me with the smell of urine that fills my nostrils. The floor has tiny, whiteish hexagon tiles on it in most places. A number of them are missing, and you can see green concrete underneath. Near the walls, the floor slopes down to a gutter or trough where many more tiles are missing. There are no urinals, just men and boys peeing against the wall. There's a blue-green pipe running across the wall at chest level that spurts water at random down the wall to try to wash away the pee. The hand dryers whine and sound like they are about to die, only stirring up the horrific smell of the room.

I'm really self-conscious as I pull up my shirt and push down my shorts to get my boy dick out to pee. I'm trying not to look at the men that are all staring at me. I just hurry up and quickly pee, shake, and leave. Forget washing my hands in the single working sink that's hanging by one corner from the wall, this place is smelly and creepy.

I get back to the group and look at Dad. I just give him an uneasy nod to acknowledge that he was right about that disgusting bathroom. I move over to the boys and try to catch up on their conversation. "What did I miss, guys?" Nobody responds, they just keep the conversation going. We get to the ticket booth, and each of us gets a wristband for the rides and a bundle of tickets that are good for the games. Tran and Grayson are each handed $100 to take care of snacks for us, although we will be meeting at the Destiny Ranch Lemonade and Popcorn stand later on.

Dad and Mr. Eric head off to do whatever dads do at the fair. I don't see Dad as an old man; he's too much fun for that, but I'm sure shoot-em-up games and fun houses are not his idea of a good day. I'm sure they could win me a teddy bear or other plushy.

As we walk, we are followed by a big man named Peter. He is Joey's "protection," I mean, Joey is a star, and every star needs a bodyguard. He's hanging back, trying not to look like he is with us so that Joey can just be himself. He doesn't really look like he fits in at the fair with his dark sunglasses and jacket. It's a warm day and he definitely doesn't need the jacket. He looks like he should be in a spy movie.

We walk by one of those places where you shoot basketballs to win a prize. Alejandro is so short he asks Peter to hold him up so he can shoot. The guy running the game said it was against the rules but Peter just gave him a look and placed Alejandro on his shoulders so he could shoot. The ball hit the rim, bounced a couple of times and then popped out. We all give it a try, and one ticket after another, we all score zero. I should have asked Peter to hoist me up too.

As we continue, there's a game that has you bowl down an alley, and the Murphy boys get all cocky since they have a bowling alley at home. Piece of cake, I hear, but then Joey bowls a gutter ball. Alejandro also bowls a gutter ball. I notice that the alley isn't flat and that it slopes to the sides. Maybe the same people who made the bathroom made this bowling lane.

Alejandro exclaims, "That game is a cheat; I can almost bowl a perfect game at home and can't hit a single pin on this one. It's no fair!"

We stroll along the row of games. I notice that Tran keeps looking at his phone. He's not paying attention to anything we are doing. He's obsessed with his phone. I watch as Peter has to grab him to make sure he stays with the group. At the end of one row, our eyes light up as we spot the House of Mirrors Fun House. Excitement bubbles within us, and we all agree that it looks like a blast. Showing our wristbands, we eagerly await our turn to enter. Our laughter fills the air as we see our first mirror, and we can't help but feel a little playful. Colorful lights and lively music create an energetic atmosphere, setting the stage for our thrilling adventure.

Inside, we are greeted by a dazzling array of mirrors of all shapes and sizes. Our reflections multiply and stretch out before us, creating a spectacle of amusement. We reach out to touch the mirrors, half expecting our hands to pass through, but they remain solid and cool.

Navigating through the maze, the mirrors play tricks on us, distorting our bodies and twisting our images into bizarre shapes. I burst into laughter seeing Max with elongated legs and stretched-out arms. He looks so funny like that, Grayson is next to him, but really small and squished.

Amidst the excitement, I notice other kids attempting to catch up to us, but they keep bumping into mirrors, their confused expressions adding to the amusement. When our eyes meet, we exchange mischievous glances, laughing as they struggle to navigate through the maze.

Venturing deeper into the labyrinth, the mirrors become even more deceptive, creating a dizzying effect. I'm in a corridor lined with mirrors on both sides, creating the illusion of infinite reflections. There must be a zillion reflections in there of me. It's disorienting yet thrilling, and I can't resist running my fingers along the cool surfaces as I make my way through.

I catch up to my brothers as we turn a corner and come face-to-face with a mirror that distorts our reflections into funny caricatures. Tran's eyes bulge out, Alejandro's nose becomes comically large, and Max and Grayson's mouths stretch into wide grins. We erupt into fits of laughter, unable to tear our eyes away from the hilarious sight. It feels like stepping into a mirror universe where everything is topsy-turvy and we're the stars of the show.

Continuing our adventure, we encounter mirrors that make us appear as if we're floating in mid-air or multiply us into armies of clones. The bigger boys have phones and are taking selfies as we go. We strike poses, imitating our multiplied images, and the joy intensifies with each passing moment. It's like a magical playground where reality bends and twists, and we revel in the laughter and surprises.

Throughout our journey, we can hear the sound of the other kids attempting to find us, their laughter, and occasional bumps into mirrors echoing in the maze. At one point, I hear someone calling out for Joey, but I don't recognize the voice. I think Joey heard it too, and we exchange mischievous glances, knowing we've managed to elude them through the labyrinth of reflections.

Finally, after what feels like an eternity of amusement, we reach the end of the funhouse of mirrors. We can't contain our excitement as we gather to share our experiences and relive the hilarious moments of the adventure. Everyone is comparing their pictures on their phones except for Tran. He's just staring at the screen. I feel totally out of place because everyone has a cellphone, but me. I can't take pictures, videos, or call my new friends; it sucks being the only one without a phone. I really need to ask Dad, "When can I get my own phone?"

We share a big group hug, savoring the joyous moment, before realizing it's time to make our way to meet Dad and Mr. Eric.

"Come on, guys, Ba is waiting," Tran says sounding irritated. Who put him in charge anyway? Just because he's the oldest doesn't make him the boss of me. As we walk, I see Tran trying to FaceTime someone, but they aren't answering. He has a disgusted look on his face as he shoves his phone deep into his front pocket and huffs. He is definitely upset. I see Joey give him a quick glance, and Tran just looks away. It almost looks as if Tran is crying. I wonder who he is trying to reach. Peter, who seems to show up out of nowhere, walks over and puts his hand on Tran's shoulder, leans down, whispers something in his ear, and pats him on the back.

I overhear Tran's angry response to Peter, "He frickin red-buttoned me! Why?" He kicks the ground and is definitely crying as he looks away from the rest of us and wipes his face.

Before we get to the lemonade stand, Joey has to pee and once he said it out loud, I realized, I have to pee again. The new bathrooms are amazing, just like Dad said. Believe it or not, when we exit the bathrooms, we run into Beau, Colt and AJ. They are all out of breath and AJ is huffing on an inhaler of some kind. We chat for a little while and Peter reminds us that we best get moving or we'll be late. So, all ten of us head to the lemonade stand. They have picnic tables and benches all around under the shade provided by a large yellow and green striped sails. The ground is covered with hay, and there are strings of lights overhead. I don't know why they are on, it's midday, but they look cool, and the glass sparkles in the sunlight. I sit between Joey and Tran on a bench so I can hug Tran. Tran is at the furthest point from his dad. He looks like he needs to be hugged. He tries to smile, but I see his lip quiver and he quickly looks away again. I reach over and hug him and kiss him on his tear-stained cheek. I can feel his chest and he's definitely crying now. I decide to leave him be and return my attention to the group.

Dad and Mr. Eric have lemonade and popcorn for us boys. "How has the fair been, boys?" Mr. Eric asks.

"Papi, it was sooooo fun! We got lost inside the mirror thing and kept running into the glass. Now I know what it feels like to be a fish in a tank. It was a lot of fun," Alejandro says barely taking a breath. "But that stupid bowling game, it cheats Papi, the lane is higher in the middle, and you can't get the ball down the lane."

Mr. Eric cuts in, "You do know these carnival games are all rigged, right? They count on you not being able to win the prizes. How many people did you see walking off with a prize?"

All of us kind of look around and shrug our shoulders. "None," is the unanimous response. We just sat back and enjoy our snack and chat with Mr. Eric and Dad. They seem to be friends now. I hope that means that the Murphys get to stay longer.

"We won a bunch of stuff, you guys want some glow sticks," AJ says as he digs into his white "Grizzly Valley Fair 2023" souvenir bag. He pulls out a hand full of sticks and we each take some. Beau and Colt have them tied into their shoe laces. AJ must have found a string and made a necklace with about ten of them,

"Look at my hat I won at the baseball booth," Beau says as he pulls a baseball helmet out of his souvenir bag. It has two cup holders on either side with two huge straws that reach to the mouth.

"Boys, Eric, Jack, we are having a big pool party at the house, and you are all invited. There will be more boys from town that have been invited as well. We have invited a few of the boys from the rodeo as well. Do you want to come?" I ask, looking at the Murphys and the Colters.

"Yeah! The party the other day was epic. Will it be like that?" Joey asks.

"Yes, and you won't need to worry about any paparazzi. I heard about the incident you had in LA. Also, one more thing, most of the people, kids and adults, will be naked. It's kind of a tradition, but if you feel like wearing a suit, nobody will have a problem with it."

I notice that Tran hasn't moved the entire time we were sitting there. I watch Josh get off the bench and walk around to face Tran since he's looking away. He picks up Tran's untouched lemonade and holds it with the straw to his lips. "Here, brother, have a sip, it will make you feel better." He says with a concerned look on his young face.

Tran reluctantly opens his lips and sucks some lemonade in. He takes a couple of swigs before taking his cup from Josh and putting it on the table. He holds his arms out to Josh like he wants another hug. Josh moves in and hugs him, kissing him on the cheek. "Thank you, bro," Tran whispers into Josh's ear barely loud enough for me to hear. He lets go of him and we all get up from the table. Clearing away our trash first, we head out for a few more games. AJ is going to help my boys with the bowling game. "You should never let cheaters win," he says as relives how he won his prizes. If we head home about 9:00PM we should have some time to get some party set-up sone before bed. Something tells me it's going to be a great party.

The Next Afternoon
Max

It's finally time for the pool party to kick off. Instead of heading to the fair, we decide to stay home today to finish preparing everything. I've never been to a "clothing-optional" pool party like this before, so I'm really looking forward to it. I mean, we do go naked when it's just us at home, but now I get to see lots of other boys.

As I glance around, I notice people starting to come through the gate, carrying coolers, towels, and even a few folding chairs. I realize we have plenty of those, but it's always nice to have more for everyone to have a place to sit, relax and enjoy themselves.

Among the guests, I spot Beau, Colt, AJ, and a set of twins about Tran's age, I think, followed by their parents, as well as Mr. and Mrs. Hossenger. The three of them spot Josh and Brian and run over to hang out with them. There's a bit of animated hand motions and soon the three new boys are naked. Colt just runs in circles around the other boys, laughing and giggling until I see him run to the edge of the lawn and lean back, shooting his stream of pee out into the tall grass. Josh runs over, points at the pool house, but Colt just shrugs and goes running back to the group.

It's interesting to see that there are women here too. I can't help but wonder if there will be any girls my age attending.

With a smile on my face, I make my way over to greet and help the arriving guests. I'm eager to start the pool party and have a lot of fun.

When Haydon and Seth arrive, they've got a couple of big beverage coolers full of their amazing lemonade. I wonder who is at the fair running the booth with Haydon's dad. I guess he's used to it on the days that Haydon competes with his goats. I heard he won blue ribbons again yesterday. I wish we had been able to go see him compete.

Seth is pretty hot, he has compression shorts on under his nylon shorts and tosses his shirt to Haydon, who is heading to the pool house. Seth's chest is well-defined, and he has a nice six-pack with just a little hair. I have to remind myself to stop staring. I'm sure Haydon will strip and put their clothes in a locker or basket.

Moments later, sure enough, Haydon runs out of the pool house with his dick flopping in every direction. He uses his momentum to do a big cannonball into the pool, splashing everyone.

A lot of people have arrived, even the Murphys. Alejandro must have come across the street naked, because I didn't ever see him with clothes. Tran and Joey still have shorts on, and Joey has his red baseball hat and glasses on, trying to hide. He sees Jamie and decides to go over and talk to him. I think it's a good thing Joey has his glasses and shorts on. From the angle of his head, he's checking out Jamie, and from the tent in his shorts, he likes what he sees.

The two head off to the edge of the pool, and Joey decides to drop his shorts as the two sit on the coping that is still wet from Haydon's splash. I was definitely right, Joey's got a nice package, and it's awake.

Tran is wandering around staring at his phone looking lost until he sees Haydon, so he shoves his phone in his pocket, drops his shorts, and heads into the pool to catch up with Haydon. The Colter twins see the two boys and I see them heading toward Haydon and Tran. They all seem to be chatting and end up moving over to the grotto, where they can sit and talk in the shade.

I need to find my Grayson. This week has been so crazy that we haven't had time to do our own thing, but it's been fun with all the new boys. Speaking of the new boys, Alejandro is very animated while talking to two girls and a boy about his age in the lazy river. They have linked arms and have four rings clustered as they float around the pool. I haven't really looked closely at naked girls before, but at that age, they just look like boys whose wieners fell off.

What a great way to spend the rest of today. I just found Grayson, so I need to ask him to put more lotion on me. I don't want to burn my sausage. If he's not careful, we're going to have to find a room, in fact, that's exactly what we are going to do.

"Grayson, over here," I shout. He sees me and I grab his hand and head to our bedroom. "Let's go inside. I want to prevent a problem."

We enter the bedroom and I just push Grayson back on the bed, climb on top, and lean in to make out with my boyfriend. Our dicks are hard in an instant, poking each other. We enter into a tongue battle and realize we need to get some relief. I reach down and feel his pre-cum pouring out of his perfect dick. I use it to run around his head and make him squirm. I get him nice and wet. I roll over so he can poke at my hole. I feel him sliding his cock up and down my crack. The more he does this, the wetter it gets, and then, suddenly, my lover is pushing inside me. There is no pain, just bliss, as he slides it in and then starts to slowly rock us back and forth. His shaft slides in and out as his head keeps poking my sensitive spot. I feel him tense up and shoot inside me. He wraps his arms around me and holds me tight, puts his chin on my shoulder, whispers in my ear, "I love you," and just holds me. I love the warmth of his smooth body, and I never want this to end. We lay there until we both drift off to sleep. A nice nap before rejoining the pool party seems to be in order.
