Be True to Your Heart

Chapter 1

This is a multi-part story.

I will update it as I can, but real life does often interfere with the activities we enjoy and use to relax. The beginning of this story will be posted on 3 sites, Nifty, AO3, and WP. Because of the submission restrictions, readers will have to visit either Nifty or AO3, to enjoy the entire story.

Please give feedback and let me know how you like it. Email is listed at the end.

I want to thank the many authors that have inspired me to put aside my dislike of writing, as I see it as a chore, from my days of being a student, and use it as a way to share my ideas with others. There are many stories on the sites that really touched me, and each chapter I will mention some. Be it from the likes of Counting, Care, Premonitions, Tutoring JJ, The Sleepover, Young Innocence, Boy Scout Lover, Cadence, Maxs Awakening, or Transitions Daily Life, to name just a few that have made me Laugh, Smile, Cry and very horny, all in a story. I hope you get a chance to enjoy these stories, as well as those I reference in each chapter.

I think it is important to support the authors, and if we all share those that touch our hearts, it can increase the readership and bring more support for the great sites that give us the space and locations to view and share our ideas, and feelings with others. Please take a few seconds to send a note to the authors of the stories you read to let them know you read it and if you have any comments or ideas for them. A few kind words go a LONG way.

With this all being said, Its time to get to the fun stuff. This is the first chapter of, Be True to Your Heart. This story is fictional, and will deal with many issues that families today have to address. If I state any facts or figures, in it, I try to use actual ones I have found in multiple places online, so as to give proper info to the readers. The story will center around several boys, and the Man that took them into his home, and gave them a safe, loving Family to be whom they are, without any strings attached. There will be sex in the story, as many boys do experiment with each other, and some even fall in love. If this bothers you, please don't read it. Children are to be cuddled, snuggled, hugs and loved, not neglected, abused, starved or raped... Please be kind and don't hurt others... (however the first few chapters should be safe for all types and ages of readers...) For a person to be happy, they must accept and love themselves for whom they are, and not try to live their life in a way to meet the expectations of others, when they are contrary to the heart and well being of the individual.

Please donate and support Nifty. Freedom of thought and expression, and the online storage to encourage these are not free or cheap. Nifty needs your support to keep providing this great service to us all!!!! https://donate.nifty.org/

Be True to Your Heart

Chapter 1 - Everything Changes

It had been a long week. Working retail is not easy and the strange hours can really drag. But Kevin endured it. He had too. He was trying to rebuild his life. He had been convicted of a crime he did not do, spent over 10 years in prison for it and then 5 more years on probation. He finally got off probation last year, and moved out of the cold and dark in the frozen north, to the warmth of Arizona. He was lucky, he got a good job with a big box store and since he was a hard worker and dedicated to great customer service, he was able to transfer stores when his probation ended. That was about 9 months ago when he moved, and finding a place to live was so hard. Most places don't want anyone with a felony conviction, and if they have to register its an automatic NO. He had family in the area and was able to stay with them while he found a small run down apartment that he was able to get, as the owner had many vacancies and needed to fill the rooms. His 2 bedroom run down apartment is 1395 a month, but its better than being in your 50s and living with family. It gave him back his independence and his dignity.

Kevin loved his car. He bought a 2007 Mustang GT500. It is white with blue stripes. He bought it used in 2020, with extra low miles, after the original owner passed away and his wife could not drive a stick and did not want a sporty car. It is a fun car to drive, and gets lots of positive looks and thumbs ups when Kevin drives it. It makes him feel like he was able to accomplish something and get one of the items he thought was not obtainable. This in turn has helped to give him more positive motivation. He figured he could keep and enjoy his dream car forever. However, life often will throw us a curve ball when we least expect it.

It was May, and the temps were getting hotter and hotter each day. He was thankful, he was not on the second floor, as hot air rises. He knew maybe 2 of the other residents in the apartment complex. He had meet his neighbor, a few times as she was about 30 and had a young son. There was also the crazy old lady that was in apartment 1. She was strange but seemed harmless. She did not seem too nosy. She had come to talk to Kevin and informed him she knew of his conviction and he laid down the facts to her, and that he had never touched or hurt anyone and he never would. She replied, that he seemed like a kind person and not a predator or dangerous to anyone. She was good at reading people it turned out, as she also told him of a few of the dangerous and strange people that did live there, and that included his neighbor as she seemed to disappear for days at a time and often it seemed her little boy was left home to fend for himself. Kevin was shocked that a mother would leave a young grade-schooler to fend for himself, for a night, much less several days.

At about 3pm Kevin's cell phone rang. He did not know the number to he let it go to voicemail. about 5 minutes later he looked at the message and was shocked. It was from a friend he had not talked to in a while and it said he was in the hospital, and needed to talk to him ASAP. Kevin was at work, so he took his break and went to call Sean. Sean answered the call, and it turns out the number was the hospital number for his room. He explained to Kevin that he had been in a bad car accident and that he was not doing well. The doctors said he was doing OK, but he felt inside that he was slipping away and needed to talk to him about his boys. He told Kevin that he is to be named guardian of the boys if anything happened to him and that he had talked to his lawyer in Minnesota and gave him Kevin's information and background. Sean wanted to know if Kevin could come to Las Vegas, and see him.

Kevin explained his days off were Wednesday and Thursday. It was Tuesday, he would drive to Vegas tonight after he got off work. Sean smiled and said Thanks, and that he looked forward to seeing him in the morning. Kevin explained to his manager that his friend was in the hospital and not doing well and had asked for him to go see him in Vegas and that he might have to take a few more days off if Sean gets worst. Mike, the manager, told Kevin, to do what he needed to be done, and just let him know if he needed time off. He then said to drive safe, and that he could leave early if he wanted to since it was kinda slow. Kevin clocked out and went home to pack a bag. He let his Mother know he was going out of town on an emergency and would not see her for dinner the next night.

About 8 pm, Kevin arrived at the Hospital and went to see Sean. He was surprised to see so many tubes hooked up to him. In the room were 2 small boys. Kevin had never met them before but had seen photos and heard stories about them and knew they were Sean's boys. If you did not know better, you would assume both were in the 3-5 range, based on their size, but in fact, Nick was 9 and Sammy was 7. Both were rather small and very skinny. Considering Sean was about 5'10, and the boys' mother was at best 5'6", Kevin was not too shocked at their sizes. He knew their mother had also been very slender, so that made sense too. There was a woman sitting nearby, and it looked like she had brought the boys, and in fact, she had. They were staying at her house, as Nick and her son Bobby were best friends. Sammy was very nice to her younger son, Billy who was 5, and looked up to Sammy, even though he was actually taller than Sammy was.

Sean was happy to see Kevin, and smiled. The boys had heard about Kevin and how he had helped their daddy when he was a boy and needed a friend to talk to and to help him during his preteen and teen years. When Sean told the boys that Kevin would take care of them if he did not get better, both boys started crying, but also felt better as they were unsure and scared about what would happen if their daddy died. They knew what foster care was, and knew that many times brothers would get split up and not see each other anymore. They loved each other a lot and did not want to lose each other. They all talked for a few minutes then the boys said goodnight to their daddy and went with Mary to get cleaned up for bed. Kevin and Sean talked for a while and Sean told Kevin he needed him to take care of his boys. He had a bad feeling that he would not make it thru the weekend if even that long.

Kevin was concerned and explained to Sean, that with his conviction it would be unfair to the boys, as it will limit the friends they will have and the activities they can do. Sean told him it was BS. He knew Kevin and knew he would never hurt a child and explained that he had explained it all to his lawyer and that he understood where Sean was in his thoughts and beliefs and would fight to make sure the boys were with Kevin. He explained to Kevin that the boys had a small trust fund set up when his mother died. It had her home that was in Minnesota in it, as well as some farmland and some other funds. When his wife left him and the boys, she gave full custody to Sean 4 years ago. Then not even 6 months later she died in a drunk driving accident. So the boys had no other biological family, and as far as Sean was concerned Kevin was Family and would make sure they were safe, loved, wanted, and educated. He explained that both were heavy bed-wetters still and that Sammy was still in diapers most days, and Nicky was still in pull-ups for school, just in case, but often wore diapers at home after school. The boys were about to finish 1st and 3rd grade at the end of the week.

Mary and her family were moving at the end of the month, as her husband got a job transfer and is already in Iowa working. So the boys needed him to be there for them and to be supportive. Sean knew from his past and his friends' pasts that Kevin did not care if the boys were bedwetters or needed diapers. Sean was a bed wetter until 17, and his friend who Kevin had been the foster dad for him until he was adopted, also wet the bed and had some daytime issues, even at 13 when he got moved to the adoptive home. Sean knew that lots of boys wet the bed, and even had daytime issues so he had told his boys that many times. He explained that because their bodies are smaller than most boys their age, means that their bladder is also smaller and not as developed yet. That is why they have accidents. He told them the same thing Kevin had told him and many of the boys that lived with him as a foster dad, "diapers are just another type of undies, and its no big deal." He also used the line that he knew Kevin had told his little cousin Steven when he was living with him, as he was also very small and a wetter. He had heard Kevin tell him, "it does not matter how tall or short you are, the only thing that matters is how big your heart is, and that you listen to it". Sean had thought that was so cool.

After about an hour Kevin left to find a hotel for the next 2 nights and said he would be back in the morning. He returned to the hospital at about 10 am, and talked to Sean some more. Sean asked Kevin if he could bring the boys today, as Mary had to take Billy to Soccer and Bobby had dance class today. Kevin was happy to help and had Sean sign a form that said Kevin was authorized to have custody and gave him temporary guardianship of the boys, should anything happen. Sean happily signed it and had a nurse witness it. About 4 pm Kevin and the boys returned. Sean did not look so good. The doctors were not sure what was happening as the tests showed he should be getting better, not worst.

Sean asked to see the boys and he held them and told them he loved them. He told them to know that he will always love them and when he is in heaven he will watch over them. That he knew Kevin would take care of them and be a great daddy for them, as he had been like a dad to him when he was growing up and needed a person to trust and help him in life. He then asked Kevin to watch over his boys and treat them like they were his own sons. He put the boys' hands into Kevin's hands.

He said "I love you, Nicky and Sammy. Be good and know I am so proud of you and always will be. I love you for whom you are, and I know Kevin will never judge you and will accept and love you for whom you are. Be true to yourself and remember to accept whom you are and love yourself, otherwise, no one else will be able to. I am so happy I am your daddy and have 2 of the best boys in the world as sons."

Then he closed his eyes and the heart alarm sounded.

All 3 were crying. Kevin picked up both boys, and they went out of the room as the doctors rushed in. 5 minutes later the doctor said that they could not revive him, and he has passed. The boys were still crying and holding onto Kevin like he was their life raft.

Sean had left an envelope for Kevin with the Nurse in case he went into a coma, or was dead. The envelope contained the phone number of the lawyer that had Sean's will. Also, it had a letter stating that Sean gave Kevin full legal guardianship and custody of the boys, should he not be able to make any choices for them or be able to care for them, this included in the time of coma or death, and that it was further stated in his Will that the boys were to live with Kevin if he passed away. There was some other info, that would be helpful, like his banking info and the codes to his computers and other electronics at the apartment they lived in.

Sean had requested that Kevin keep the 2005 Ford Excursion, and use it. It was a big safe and reliable SUV, and Sean knew the boys loved it and felt safe in it. A long list of the upgrades Sean had done to it over the last few years, showed it was in great shape with a rebuilt 6.0L diesel, new transmission, updated suspension and Comfy seats. Kevin would sell his pride and joy, his white 2007 Ford Mustang GT500, and set the money aside for a later day when he needed a different vehicle. After all, he got a great deal on it in 2020, when he bought it with only 22,000 miles on it. It was not a great family-type car, esp with 2 small boys. Las Vegas should be an easy place to sell it..

Kevin and the boys were in Shock. He called Mary to let her know and it was decided to go to their house for dinner and so the boys could sleep there with their friends. Kevin carried both boys to his Mustang and buckled them in, He realized he needed at least 1 booster seat, and maybe should get 2 since both boys were very petite. Shoot Nicky might weigh 42 pounds, soaking wet... So yeah he is small for his age and very slender. Sammy is even smaller. He hoped the Excursion would have them, but if not he would get them whatever the boys needed.

After arriving at Mary's home the boys wanted to be close to someone and preferred to sit on Kevin's Lap. He realized both boys had started to leak, so took them to get them changed into dry diapers. Then they sat and watched cartoons. Mary made Mac and Cheese for all 4 boys, but no one was very hungry. Kevin called and let his manager know his friend passed away, and that he was now the guardian of his 2 young boys and would need to take a week off work, to arrange everything. That was approved and told if he needed more time to just call. Then a call to Minnesota to let the lawyer know. He had heard from the Hospital, as directions had been left to notify him if Sean went into a coma or passed away. He explained to Kevin that he would help him take care of everything, as he was also the lawyer that Sean's Mom had used for her estate and will. He would also take care of the legal issues about the car accident and get the most for the boys he could.

The next week was a blur to everyone. The boys only went to school to get their things the next day and to say bye to their friends. It was the last day of school, so they wanted to tell their friends bye. The funeral was small and very upbeat, as Sean wanted his life to be celebrated, not to focus on death. The boys were still very clingy and Sammy was even sucking his thumb a bunch of the time. Kevin knew this was hard on them, and it would take time for them to heal.

They got everything the boys wanted from their apartment, and Kevin picked a few things he felt they might want later on and packed it all up. The rest was sold off or donated.

The boys said bye to Bobby, Billy, and Mary. Kevin and Mary worked it out so the boys could video chat every week or 2 when they wanted to. Kevin seemed to think that Nicky and Bobby had a special friendship and felt bad for them having to be separated.

Before they left Las Vegas, Kevin decided to visit Changing Times Diaper store, to see if they had any diapers or snap clothes for the boys. They had stuff that would fit teens and maybe some preteens but the boys were just too small. However, they suggested we check out CBO Baby. They make Diaper shirts for big kids in most big kid sizes. Kevin thought their house-brand diaper, "Bear Hugz", looked soft, absorbent, and comfy, so he got a case of them.

With the Excursion loaded down, and a u-haul trailer behind it, they headed out of Vegas for Arizona and what lies ahead of them, as they become a family together. This will be a major change in all 3 of their lives, but they will adjust and grow stronger and closer from it....

How will they adjust and all settle into a new routine, and what did Sean mean when he told the boys to accept and love themselves for whom they are???

I hope you liked it so far. It will take a chapter or 2 so you get to know the 4 main characters at this point in the story timeline, yes 4. The action starts in the next chapter, and in some it's very hot and heavy from the horny boys.
