The belated education of Charlie Hibbs Chapter 17-Spilt syrup, spilt blood "Quiet down boys! Quiet down!" The headmaster wanted to address the students of Rockstaff before their first dinner back at school after the half term holidays, "Quiet down now... Thank you. Well I do hope you all had a lovely half term break and it is wonderful to welcome you all back to school. Now, you may have noticed some changes that have been made over the two weeks you were gone. I can assure you these changes will not affect your education in the slightest. In fact we will be having new classes added to the curriculum." This announcement caused a murmur through the student body. Most boys were excited to hear about what these new lessons could be. The headmaster continued, "As you know every year seven sets of bunk buddies travel together to Steelrod academy for a month while fourteen of their students visit with us here at Rockstaff. This is only open to those that have not gone on this trip in previous years so those of you who wish to take part please submit your names by the end of the week and be sure to speak to your bunk buddy about it first please?" The headmaster looked and winked at a fifth year boy who smiled back. He continued, "Which is why one of the new classes will be rifle shooting practice. The Steelrod boys are excellent shots and we can't let the-" A lot of chattering immediately began, "Did he say rifle shooting practice?" "Like, with guns?!" "So cool!" "Really?!" "Wait, I missed that... " "Did he say... ?" "Yeah man! Real guns!" "Boys! I am still talking! If you would be so kind as to return your attention to me... " The chatter died down, "That's better. Now, as I was saying the Steelrod boys are excellent shots and we can't very well let them show us up now can we? More information about these classes have been given to your year prefects and they will fill you in on the details." The headmaster took a drink of water before carrying on, "Next I must inform you we had several attempted break ins over the holidays so we have elected to station a team of guards around the grounds. It is their job to protect the school and all of the schools valuable assets. You may see them in the halls or about the grounds and it is best you just go about your business and leave them to do their jobs." Charlie had noticed some of the guards in the hallways. He had noticed their side arms too, "And finally we have seen fit to update our procedures in the event of a fire... or... any other emergency. Each year group will practice the new evacuation procedures until they know them by heart. This too will be handled by your year prefects. Welcome back to all of you and please, enjoy your dinner." As soon as the headmaster stopped talking the rooms low roar of excited chatter started up again. Charlie looked around the room he could see the tables of the fifth, sixth and seventh year boys were rather quiet like he and Seb were, 'They know.' He thought. The other four tables in the room were all full of excited boys discussing how fun it will be to fire a real gun. They looked over at the guard by the door and stared with itchy fingers at the holster strapped to his hip. It seemed all the lower year boys were talking quickly and wide eyed about how similar this would be to Call of Duty- That is, all the boys execpt two. Caleb was looking blank faced at his plate and Aaron was... Looking directly at Charlie with a frown. Charlie was a little shocked. He offered Aaron a smile and a wave across the table. Aaron didn't return it. He just continued to Frown as his almond eyes darted back and forth between Charlie and Seb. He then assumed the same posture as Caleb and stared at his plate as he waited for the food to be brought to them, 'That was weird.' Charlie thought. After dinner Pritchard led the first years back to their common room and explained that the next day they will be the first class to go to the newly constructed firing range near the pool building, that they were to wait in the common room after breakfast for him to come and collect them. He then informed them they have fifteen minutes to get ready for bed before lights out and left the room. Once again excited chattering rose up from the boys and once again Caleb and Aaron were not taking part. Sat on their bean bags Charlie noticed both of them staring at him and Seb. Aaron stood up still holding Charlies gaze, a frown still on his face. Caleb stood up with him as Aaron tilted his head towards the door indicating, 'Follow us.' Charlie tapped Seb on the arm and whispered in his ear, "Come on, Aaron and Caleb want to talk to us." "Charlie I don't think we have time for sex before lights out." Seb replied. "I don't think it's that." Charlie told him and the two of them followed Aaron and Caleb out into the deserted hallway. They were waiting, "Hey man. What's up?" "Not here." Aaron replied flatly and turned to walk towards his and Calebs room. Charlie and Seb followed. Once in their room Aaron stood by their bed as Caleb used their little key to lock the door from the inside, something Charlie had never seen done yet. It appears this was strange to Seb too, "Caleb? Why are you locking the door man?" No answer came from Caleb as he walked over to stand by Aaron and put his arm around him. The two boys just stared at Charlie and Seb in silence as they stared back confused. Charlie had to ask, "Err guys? What's going o-" "Just gimme a minute alright!" Aaron snapped, "This is hard!" He sat down on their bed and placed his head in his hands. Caleb sat next to him and placed his arm around his bunk buddy. After a few moments Aaron looked up at them again, "I have to be really really careful here okay? So just... just gimme some time." Charlie and Seb looked at each other with concern. What the hell could this be about? Aaron took a deep breath, "Okay... Ooookaaaayyy... " Aaron clearly had something serious he wanted to say but was having difficulty saying it, "Sooo... All the boys seem really excited about shooting practice huh?" Seb smiled, "Yeah. It should be really fu-" "ALL the boys... " Aaron cut him off, "Was it? All the boys?" He looked at Charlie, "You noticed it didn't you? I saw you looking around the mess hall." Charlie didn't know what Aaron was referring to, "Umm... I dunno what y-" "The upper years." Aaron cut Charlie off this time, "They didn't seem excited." Charlie and Seb had nothing to say as he looked at them so Aaron continued, "Yeah... Yeah the older boys didn't seem to be excited at all. Everyone else was... " Aarons stare was piercing, "... everyone that is, except you two." Charlie and Seb instinctively exchanged a worried look which Aaron saw, "There!" He pointed at them, "... What was that look?" Seb smiled at Aaron, "Really man. I don't know what you are talking ab-" Aaron jumped up from the bed, "DON'T FUCKING LIE TO ME!" Seb and Charlie jumped at Aarons outburst as Caleb stood up and wrapped his arms around Aaron, "Hey hey hey, shhh... shhh... It's okay. It's okay just calm down. It's all okay." Aarons eyes began to water, "No it isn't Caleb. Things are very fucking far from okay... " He wiped his eyes with his hand and sniffed before speaking plainly while holding their gaze, "I know you know." Seb and Charlie were frozen to the spot. Neither of them spoke as Aaron walked slowly towards them. He stood just a couple of feet away from Charlie, "Why are we doing shooting practice?" "Umm... " Charlie began, "Well the headmaster said-" "I know what he said!" Aaron once again interrupted Charlie, "I was in the room. Now I'm asking you. Why are we doing shooting practice?" Charlie felt like he was being interrogated, "Err... Well umm... You... You heard him... " Charlie noticed Aaron shaking with anger. He balled his fist as he spoke through gritted teeth, "I swear to fucking god man... Alright. Lemme rephrase the question. What's the real reason we are doing shooting practice?" "I... I... " Charlie didn't know what to say. Could it be possible that Aaron knew what they knew or had he just picked up on their reaction to the news shared by the headmaster at dinner. Then he remembered when Aaron had sat down and told them he needed to be careful. Charlie realised, 'Oh fuck. Aaron knows. He knows about the 'not friendly... Which means... ' Charlie looked at Caleb, 'Caleb knows too... ' Charlie looked back into Aarons eyes. It was clear he wasn't fucking around as he kept talking, "You know why we are doing it. The real reason. And the real reason the guards are here. And why we are doing practice evacuations." He turned to Seb, "And you know too." He paused for a moment, "And I know that none of us is allowed to tell the other boys." There it was. The last piece of evidence Charlie and Seb needed. Seb decided to take the risk, "... ... The 'not friendly." Aaron looked at Seb with wide eyes as his breathing sped up. His eyes began to water and he sniffed again as Caleb walked up behind him and hugged him. Aaron looked at Charlie again then back to Seb as his bottom lip trembled, "... ... ... Yeah... the 'not friendly'." A heavy silence fell across them. The secret they had all carried with absolutely no knowledge of the others also knowing was out. The secret they must keep between themselves and their bunk buddies was now shared by four, not two. Charlie looked at Seb. Tears were silently flowing down his cheeks. Charlie walked over to him and hugged him tightly. He looked back over at Aaron who had now turned and buried his face in Calebs chest as he sobbed. Caleb caught Charlies eye as Seb did the same to him. He nodded and Charlie understood what that nod meant, 'We are here for them.' Charlie nodded back, 'Yeah. We are.' A minute of silence passed before they heard the noise of footsteps in the hallway. Aaron sniffed as he pulled away from Caleb, "Aww man... Babe could you pass me the tissues please?" Caleb did, "Thanks hun." Aaron blew his nose and turned to Charlie and Seb passing them the box, "Here." Seb took one and cleaned his own face. Aaron told them, "It's too late to talk about this now. We WILL talk about it though." Aaron thought for a moment, "Lunch. Tomorrow. I wanna know what you know. All of it." "Okay." Seb replied, "We should talk about it. My brother and his bunk buddy should be there too." Aaron looked at him, "Yeah I figured if you know then Theo does too. Alright then. Tomorrow." "Tomorrow." Seb agreed as Caleb unlocked the door. He and Charlie left Aaron and Calebs room returning to their own. Neither of them spoke much as they got into bed. Soon they were alseep. Charlie was in a dark place. It was cold and wet. He couldn't see anything. He was scared. He tried to move but couldn't. Then he heard it. A call from far away, "... Help!" It was Sebs voice. "Seb?!" Charlie called out, "Seb where are you?!" "Help me Charlie! Help me!" Seb was in pain. "I can't see you!" He called back, "Where are you?!" "Charlie!" Sebs voice was frantic and terrified, "Charlie I need you!" "Seb!" Charlie screamed. "Charlie! CHAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGHHHHH!" "SEB! SEEEEEB!" "Charlie! Charlie wake up!" Seb shook Charlie by his shoulders until he came around to reality. "SEB!... Seb... Se... Huh?... What?" Charlie was confused. He opened his eyes and looked up at Sebs worried face in the early morning light. "Hey you... You were having a nightmare." His concern was visible as stroked Charlies hair. Charlie still felt the fear, "Oh... Oh Seb I... I couldn't find you! You... You needed me... And I couldn't find you!" He began to cry. Seb got into Charlies bed and under the duvet with him. He wrapped his arms around his bunk buddy and kissed his head, "Come here... It's alright. It was just a dream okay? I'm right here. I am right here and I'm not going anywhere, okay?" Charlie sniffed and whispered, "Okay... " He snuggled his face into Sebs chest and went back to sleep listening to his heartbeat. At breakfast Charlie and Seb approached Theo at the third years table and he greeted them with a smile, "Morning guys. How's it going?" "Oh you know... " Seb replied, "Umm... So You and Jason need to meet us at lunch. Something's come up-" "Sorry bro." Theo was piling bacon onto a buttered slice of toast, "We have plans. Gonna meet up with a couple of fourth years. They had a gathering too and learned some new stuff they need a couple of third years for and it sounds hot." Seb leaned down and whispered something in Theos ear. Charlie watched as his relaxed expression became serious, "Oh." Seb stood back up and Theo looked at his little brothers face again, this time noting the serious expression, "You're sure?" Seb nodded. Theo thought for a second, "Okay... Third years common room. There won't be anyone in there." Seb agreed and he and Charlie began walking back to the first years table. As they did they passed Darren Lewis. It was the first time Charlie had seen him since that day in the hallway when he was brought before the headmaster. After getting back from Bastard Borks he had spent the rest of the half term in the infirmary and wasn't present at dinner the night before. He walked along the mess hall towards the fourth years table notably averting his eyes from the second years. Charlie sat down with the other first years and watched Darren as he approached the other reds. He watched as they all became quiet and just stared. Darren stood there, apparently waiting for something. A boy in red, presumably Darrens bunk buddy stood up and walked up to him. Placing his hands on Darrens shoulders he sat the boy down at their table then sat beside him. For a few moments nothing happened. The boys weren't talking or even eating. They were all just sat there looking at Darren as he stared at his empty plate. Then it happened. The boy that had guided Darren to where he now sat simply reached his hand out, took some of the red fabric of Darrens blazer between his thumb and forefinger and rubbed. He then returned to eating his breakfast as normal. The boy sat on Darrens other side did the same. Then the boy sat across from him. Darren began to weep. Soon all the boys at the table had performed this little ritual and carried on eating and chatting. Charlie watched this strange activity and immediately understood. They couldn't forgive him. That wasn't their place. But... Rockstaff boys stick together and he was red like them so that goes double. Darren ate his eggs with tears silently streaming down his face. After breakfast all the first year boys reported to their common room as instructed and awaited the arrival of Pritchard. Most were excitedly discussing the coming experience of actually holding and firing a real weapon. Charlie, Seb, Aaron and Caleb sat quietly in the corner. Pritchard arrived and addressed the room, "Alright boys. Are we all ready?" "Hell yeah!" Shouted Martin, "I am so ready to shoot a gun!" Pritchard looked at him with slight amusement, "Mmm no. No you're not. But with these classes you soon will be. Alright gentleman, please follow me. Quickly now." In his standard quick march fashion Pritchard led the boys through the long corridors of Rockstaff and outside towards the pool building. They followed the newly constructed path around the building to its rear side and got their first view of the firing range. It looked just like the practise ranges in all of their favourite video games complete with a wooden hut into which they were led. Inside the hut looked like any other classroom at the school with the obvious exception of the rifles locked behind metal grated shutters. The boys sat down in pairs and directed their attention towards the front of the class where a man stood wearing the same plain green garb as the other guards stationed around the school albeit with no side arm strapped to his waist. Once the boys were settled Pritchard introduced the man as, "Sergent Selby here will be your firearms safety and maintenance instructor. You will give him your full attention and be on your best behaviour." He turned to the sergent, "I will leave them in your capable hands sergent. I must go. I have a meeting with the other prefects and the headmaster." "Of course. Thank you." Sergent Selby replied and Pritchard left the hut. Sergent Selby looked over the room of eleven and twelve year old boys, "How many of you have played Call of Duty?" Every hand rose, "Hmm... None of you look eighteen... " Laughter, "Okay. Well first of all let me tell you that this is nothing like that. The real world is very different from any computer game and-" "Sir?" Callums hand shot up. Sergent Selby looked at Callum, "You see these stripes on my arm son?" He pointed to the three stripes that indicated his rank. Callum nodded. Sergent Selby continued, "Well they show that my rank is sergent which means I work for a living. When you address me you will do so as sergent or sergent Selby, never sir." "Oh. Sorry si- Sergent." Callum understood. "That's quite alright. Your question?" "Sergent Selby? Are we gonna shoot today?" All the boys waited for the coming answer. "No. Not today." Came the response followed by groans from the boys. He explained, "You have alot to learn before you even touch a rifle. You must know first and foremost how to properly respect the weapon. How to handle it safely and to understand the destructive power it holds. These weapons are not toys boys. They are tools to be used to defend yourselves with lethal force if necessary. Once you have mastered the basics of gun safety we will then move onto proper handling and maintenance of the weapon but even then they will not be loaded. You have much to learn before we even think about hitting the range." And they did. Charlie had never thought much about guns but he certainly never would have guessed just how complicated it would be. He learned alot though. After the hour long lesson was completed Sergent Selby asked each of them a question and each boy answered his correctly. Sergent selby really was a very good teacher. He pointed at Charlie, "Hibbs! How do you know if a gun is loaded?" "Sergent! I must assume every gun is loaded at all times and treat it as such!" Charlie answered in the same military fashion as the other boys had. "Good lad!" The door opened, "Ah Pritchard. Your meeting went well?" Pritchard looked a little distracted, "Hmm? Oh! Oh yes sergent thank you." In the distance the boys heard the faint ringing of the bells indicating their lesson had ended, "Come on now boys back to the main building. I believe your next class is history. Thank the good sergent." A collective, "Thank you sergent Selby." Rose from the boys as they rose from their chairs. "You are welcome boys. You all did very well today." Sergent selby began preparing for his next class with the second years. Being led back to the main building they passed the second years on their way to the range. Pritchard and the second year prefect exchanged a nod and Charlie saw Paul Samson. He was smiling, laughing and joking excitedly with the other boys about what they were about to learn. 'Good' Charlie thought, 'It's good he is okay.' History class passed as normal as did mathematics then the bell rang for lunch. Charlie, Seb, Aaron and Caleb ran to the mess hall. They grabbed some sandwiches and some bottles of fruit juice and raced to the third years common room. They entered and found it deserted. They made themselves comfortable and ate while they waited for Theo and Jason to arrive. They didn't have to wait long. Once all six boys were together and the door was closed they began their discussion about the 'not friendly'. Aaron spoke first. "Okay. So... For a long time my mum didn't talk about my dad or when we lived in Vietnam. I think she thought I didn't remember... But... I did. I remember the heat of the flames. I remember my dad telling us to hide. I remember the... gunshots... and the screams... " Caleb put his arm around his bunk buddy, "I remember it all. When i was about six or seven I asked her about it and she told me about the 'not friendly'. Who they are and what they did to us. She didn't tell me why. I asked and she said she didn't know. I... I was hoping you guys did." Theo spoke next explaining all the Carver brothers knew about the 'not friendly' ending with, "... and they had to tell us since... " Seb finished his brothers sentence, "... Since they killed our dad too." This revelation shocked Aaron and Caleb, "Wait... Your dad? They... They killed your dad too?" Aaron asked. Theo and Seb nodded. Aaron looked back and forth between them, "But... But he gave us the tour!" "It happened a few days after that." Theo explained. " Oh... Oh my god... Guys! I had no idea!" Aarons eyes began to water, "I mean... I've had most of my life to come to terms with it but you two... Fucking hell!" He seemed to have another realisation and looked at Seb, "So all those times you went to talk to your brother... It wasn't cos you didn't have a bunk buddy it was because... " "Yeah." Seb answered. Aaron and Caleb looked at each other stunned. Caleb had to say, "Seb I am so sorry. I thought it was unfair you got special treatment like that but fuck man... You've been carrying this around... Oh fucking hell man I am so sorry." He began to weep. Seb stood up and walked over to Caleb, hugged him and did what Seb does best, puts others first, "Hey dude, it's okay. You didn't know. It's understandable you felt that way." The boys continued their discussion for a while. They exchanged all the information they had between them and realised they were still missing large pieces of the puzzle. The biggest piece being verbalised by Jason, "Why though? Why are they doing this?" "They hate us." Answered Theo. "Yeah but WHY?!" Jason was visibly flustered, "It doesn't make sense! I mean those crazy christians hate gays cos of their religion. Racists hate other races cos they were raised that way by their parents. Why do the 'not frienldy' hate us?" A long silence followed his question. None of them knew. The silence was broken by Caleb, "Well... " They all looked at him, "... There is someone that might be able to tell us." The boys waited for Caleb to tell them as he looked at each of their faces in turn, "Who was the person that said we couldn't talk about this? Who was the one who told you guys... " He pointed at Aaron, Seb and Theo, "... that you couldn't talk about it with anyone except your bunk buddies?" Seb, Theo and Aaron exchanged a look before answering as one, "The headmaster." "Right." Said Caleb, "So... Let's go ask him." "Are you fucking serious?!" Nate Carver was incensed as he spoke to his father across the table. Anthony had just told him that once they got the location of the 'not friendly' Nate wouldn't be going on the mission. "Yes, I am serious." Anthony poured some more syrup on his pancakes. He had always loved breakfast at Steelrod academy. The Americans really know their food, breakfast especially, "You're still in training." "So fucking what?!" Nate didn't see why that mattered, "I've trained plenty. I know them and I know how to kill them. Isn't that enough?!" "No." Anthony took a bite of his pancakes and some syrup leaked down his chin, "You don't know them and you haven't trained enough." He picked up a napkin and wiped his mouth noting the same look on his sons face he had seen so many times before throughout Nates life. The one that he had when the older boys ran off to play a game they said he was too young for... and he went with them anyway. The same look he had when he was told he was too young to join a boxing club even though he had just beaten three of it's members in friendly sparring matches. The look that said, 'How can you tell me I can't when I just fucking did?!' It was the same look Anthony had given his own father when he had announced he wanted to join up and be an agent of networking and connections and his father had tried to talk him out of his decision. He was all too familiar with it, "You still have alot to learn." "Given the current situation I think I know enough to be useful!" Nate asserted. Anthony swallowed his mouthful of delicious American pancakes with syrup, "Mmm... damn that's good. Yeah... you could be. But only in as much as you would also be a liability-" "A liability?!" Nate slammed his fist on the table causing a slight hush to come over the Steelrod cafeteria, "How the fuck would I be a liability?!" Anthony cut his next piece of pancake and pierced it with his fork, "Right there. You can't control your emotions yet. Just look at me. Those fuckers shot me. They put me in a coma for six months and my first thought when I woke up wasn't revenge. It was damage control. How do I protect as many people as possible. Just look here... " He dipped the piece of pancake on the end of his fork in the syrup that was now leaking across the table since Nate slamming his fist down had caused the tumbler to topple, "... you just lost control speaking to your father over breakfast. In the field that mistake doesn't result in spilt syrup." Anthony put the syrup coated piece of pancake in his mouth and chewed, "... It results in spilt blood." Nate wanted to argue... He couldn't. He knew his dad was right. That didn't mean he had to be happy about it though. All he wanted to do was help with taking down the 'not friendly' once and for all, "Dad... I just want to help." "I know son. You can. You can help by completing your training." Anthony told his eldest boy, " The day will come when you are ready and together... " He placed his hand on Nates, "... we will get the cunts." Nate nodded and the two of them carried on eating. Tommy Jarvis stood by his desk looking at the map laid out there. Jenny brown stood next to him pointing at various rooms, "... and this is the armoury. It's full of medieval weapons and suits of armour." "Any modern day weapons?" Jarvis asked. "Not that I saw but there were rows of locked draws. I figured they had valuables in there but I suppose they could hold weapons in them." Jenny replied. She had been helping Tommy and his men get a good idea for the layout of Rockstaff as they made their plans to attack. It may have been a tactic to stall her giving Frank Hibbs time to get to the school and stop her taking Charlie but having gone on the extensive tour of the house and grounds with Phipps meant she had the entire school planned out in her head. Years of scamming and manipulation meant she was very good at mapping out buildings she walked through. It always served to have a way out if her mark got wise, "You will get them all won't you? Every single one?" "Absolutely." Jarvis couldn't believe his luck. This woman had dropped from heaven into his lap and given him this vital information. He felt it was providential, "Every single one." He returned Jennys smile and placed his hand on hers. Paldry interrupted their moment, "Mr. Jarvis?" "What is it Paldry?" "I thought you might like to know sir that we believe we have pinpointed the location of Steelrod." Paldry noted Tommys hand on Jennys. "You believe?" Jarvis looked at him, "Or you have?" "I... well... we have sir." Paldry spluttered. Jarvis smiled, "Good. Well then we will have to draw up plans to attack Steelrod-" "After Rockstaff." Jenny cut him off, "After you kill all the fuckers at Rockstaff. You promised you would get them all if I helped you." Jarvis looked at Jenny and smiled as he stroked her rough and scarred cheek, "Of course my love. Rockstaff first. I always keep my promises." He leaned in and kissed Jennys cracked lips, "And we will get every single last one of them." Paldry was shocked. The last person that had dared to interrupt Mr. Jarvis had his intestines fed to the dogs while he watched but this woman... She seemed to have a power over him, "Sir? Shall I select the men for the team we are sending to England?" Jarvis kept looking into the single eye of the woman he found himself falling in love with as he replied, "Yes. Oh, and make it twenty men instead of fifteen. We need to be sure we get all of the pedo spawn." Jenny smiled as Paldry replied, "Yessir." He walked away leaving the demonic lovers to their machinations. Knock Knock Knock. Theo knocked on the door of the headmasters office and waited. "Enter." Came the headmasters response and they did, "Ah. Carver. And young Carver. Oh and your bunk buddies along with Longworth and Shaw. To what do I owe this delightful surprise visit?" He asked sat behind his desk. Caleb closed the door behind them and the boys looked at each other. Aaron decided to be the one to speak up, "Sir? We are sorry to bother you... " "Nonsense." The headmaster waved his hand, "My door is always open. How can I help?" Aaron spoke as Caleb took his hand, "We umm... We have some questions." "Well being a teacher here it is my job to answer them." The headmaster smiled his usual kind smile, "What would you like to know boys?" They all looked at each other. Nobody wanted to be the one to say it but eventually Aaron once again spoke up, "... ... ... Sir? ... ... ... Why do they hate us?" The headmasters smile remained, "Who dear boy? Who hates you?" "... ... ... The 'not friendly'." Aarons eyes remained firm. The headmaster looked across the faces of each of the six boys that stood before him and he understood. They had discovered that they all knew about the 'not friendly'. It was evident they had discussed it before coming to see him, "Ah. I see." He was quiet for a long time before speaking again, "Tea?" He stood up and walked to the door of his study which he opened, "Come in boys and get comfortable. I will make us all a nice pot of tea and we can talk about it." They did. Sat around the table in the headmasters beautiful study they made themselves comfortable and waited while the headmaster set out china mugs, sugar, milk and a large pot of freshly brewed tea. Once they were all settled with a cup in hand the headmaster spoke again, "Well now. We do seem to have a situation here." He looked at Aaron, Seb and Theo, " You boys were all told and agreed to not discuss this with anyone except your bunk buddies." "That was before we knew others knew about the 'not friendly'" Aaron contended. "True." The headmaster conceded, "But still. You shouldn't have discussed it. What if the other boys had heard you?" "They didn't." Theo spoke up, "We were careful." "Good... Good... " The headmaster seemed to get lost in thought. "Sir?" Aaron pressed the man, "My question?" The headmaster snapped back to reality, "Hmm?" Aaron put down his china cup and leaned forward, "Why do they hate us?" "Oh... Oh of course... yes... that is what you asked." The headmaster took another sip of his tea, "Well... Information about them is scarce but we do have reason to believe that the change has something to do with it-" "The change?" Theo asked, "What's that?" "The change is the name given to a particular event." The headmaster explained, "It refers to the time the 'not friendly' completely reorganised themselves and changed what it is they do. We still can't be sure how or why but we believe the man at the top was replaced by another. For years we tracked them, hacked their networks, located them and rescued the children they held as slaves but then it all stopped. It seemed like almost overnight all of their operations shifted. It all started with Viet-" The headmaster stopped himself and looked at Aaron. Aaron calmly said, "It's okay. Go on." The headmaster did, "It all started with the destruction of the Vietnam hub. At first we understood it to be a message of sorts. A warning if you will. They were telling us to back off and let them carry on with their despicable acts unhindered. Of course, we were never going to do that. However something happened. We aren't sure what but all of their operations ceased. Their networks shut down and the childeren they held simply disappeared." "Well, that's good isn't it?" Jason asked, "If they stopped doing all that then we should be safe right?" "I'm afraid not." The headmaster poured himself another cup of tea, "I do so wish that were the case but no. Unfortunately their activities became more organised, harder to track. It became apparent very soon that all of their efforts were now solely concentrated of wiping us out-" "But WHY?!" Aaron was almost shouting, "Why are they so set on killing us all?!" The headmaster looked into the boys eyes. His heart broke as he had to tell him the truth, "... ... I don't know son. I wish I did. Truly I do but... " He reached across the table and placed his hand on Aarons, "... we just don't know. All we know is they have decided to wage war upon us and all the people like us. Their goal is to completely wipe out all who are 'the friendly'." The room was quiet. They all just sat there disappointed with the answer. They had come here expecting and hoping for an explanation but to be told 'I don't know' seemed worse than hearing any actual reason. Aaron once again was the one to break the silence, "So... You expect them to atrack Rockstaff?" The headmaster frowned, "Why would you think tha-" "The guards." Aaron cut him off, "The shooting practice. The evacuation procedures. Don't tell me it's all because of some break ins over the holidays." The headmaster looked around the table at each of the boys, "My word... You know, people don't give you boys enough credit. They think that boys younger than fifth years simply can't handle this information yet here you all are. You worked this out and had the strength to come to my office demanding answers. Answers I must say I agree with you that you deserve. I have always advocated for all boys at Rockstaff to be told about the 'not friendly'. I believe we could all be safer here if everyone knows what's at stake-" "Then tell them!" Seb implored the man, "Tell all of them! Hold a school wide assembly and lay it all out!" He looked at Seb and smiled, "You really are so much like your father... I would Sebastian. Really I would but it isn't up to just me. This sort of decision must be reached by consensus and up until now the fifth year limit has always been held in place. Until the situation changes there is no point in me bringing it up again." "Well... " Charlie said causing them all to look at him, " ... the situation has changed hasn't it?" He looked into the headmasters eyes, "I mean... we didn't have guards last term... or shooting practice or the new evacuation procedures... " "That's not what I mean Charlie. I mean the situation with regards to the 'not friendly'-" "That's what I mean too." Charlie continued, "We wouldn't be doing all this if it wasn't for the 'not friendly' so if these changes have been brought in because of them that must mean that something with THEM has changed right?" All the boys looked at the headmaster. Benjamin Rose sat there at the table in awe of the intelligence and logic of the young boys in his company. He had said for years he thought people underestimated these lads and now he realised he was guilty of that himself, "Astounding... Truly astounding... Hibbs, you have given me alot to think about... " The bell rang signalling the end of lunch, "You boys should be getting to your next lessons. I will consider what we have discussed though, I can promise you that. For now do please keep all of this to yourselves." They all agreed they would and left the headmasters office walking to their next lessons. Later that day after last lessons Charlie was sucking James' dick in his room. He had worked out that james loved it when he pulled his foreskin right back and sucked just under the head. He was doing this now as James climaxed, "Ooohhhh daammmnnn Charlie! Ahhhh!" James fell back onto the bed as Charlie got up off his knees, "You like that?" He asked but knew the answer. A panting James replied, "Fuck yeah!" He sat back up and kissed his boyfriend, "Seriously Charlie you are getting so good at that." "I know." Charlie smiled, "I learned alot at the gathering." "I'll say." James kissed Charlie again, "So, how do you wanna cum? Oh! You wanna fuck me?" Charlie smiled, "Yes. Yes I do." He got into the bed as James grabbed the lube, "Can we do it doggy style this time?" James smiled as he got into bed with Charlie, "Look at you remembering the names of positions. I'm so proud of you." They began to kiss and made out for a minute before James broke the kiss and passed the lube to Charlie, "I'm loose enough still. Seriously me and my dad fucked almost every day over the holidays. It was great." James got onto his hands and knees. Charlie positioned himself behind him, "Cool." And lubed up his dick. After applying liberal ammounts of lube, the last in the tube, he lined his cock up with James' waiting hole, "Okay. You ready?" "So ready." James assured him. "Alright then. Pushing in now." Charlie applied enough pressure for the head of his cock to pop into James. As had become their little ritual Charlie waited there for a moment and checked with his love, "That okay?" "Mmm yeah. Yeah that's good." James replied. "Okay then. I'm gonna push in more." Charlie liked to keep James informed with what he was doing before he did it. He knew that James liked this and even though his confidence in the bedroom had grown dramatically he still felt unsure from time to time. Checking in with who he was having sex with made him feel better too. As inch by inch his cock disappeared into the arse of the boy he was about to fuck he leaned more and more foward. Once he was balls deep he was laying on top of James, his chest to James' back. Both boys were panting now, "I'm in all the way." "I know." James said, "I love feeling you inside me." Charlie kissed james' back and savored the taste of his boyfriends sweat, "Mmm... You taste good. Okay I'm gonna start fucking you now." "Do it." James encouraged Charlie. Charlie began the pull out slightly before pushing all the way back in. He repeated this motion a few times before increasing his tempo and pulling out even further, "Mmmmm... " James moaned as Charlies cock hit him in just the right place over and over. He was getting hard again. As Charlie had expected, fucking James was still as amazing as the first time they had made love, "Oh fuck. Oh fuck! How... Ahhh... How the fuck can you be this fucking hot AND have... Mmm.... a perfect arse?!" James was loving this, "Hmmmmm it's all yours Ch... Charlie... All yours. Ahhh... " "Yeah?" Charlie put his hands on James' shoulders and used the leverage to really start pumping away hard, "Is it? Ung! Is it all mine? Ung!" "Hoooffffuck yeah. It's all yours. Hooo fuck me Charlie! Fuck me harder!" James shouted. "You want Ung ung ung! Me to ung ung ung! Fuck you harder huh?!" "YES!" James made it clear. Charlie obeyed and fucked James as hard as he could. He didn't last long once he had started, "Ung ung ung ung hoooofuck! Fuck J... James! Aaaahhhhhh!" Charlie felt his cock pulsating as shot after shot of his sweet boy cream was injected i to his lovers body. He slumped forward o to James' back once again and kissed the boy before telling him, "I love you." James was panting hard, "I... phew! I love you too." Charlie removed his dick from James who went to the bathroom and returned a few minutes later. As he walked into the room Charlie was laying in bed staring off into space. He had a look on his face that suggested he was thinking about something serious, "What's up?" "Huh?" Charlie came back to reality, "Oh! Nothing." James frowned, "Nah come on. Tell me." "Really it's nothing." Charlie lied as he pulled on his pyjamas, "I should go. It'll be lights out soon." He kissed James as he left the room, "Love you. Night." James could tell Charlie was lying but didn't push it. He knew Charlie must have a good reason to keep sonething from him, "Love you too. Night." As he watched Charlie walk down the corridor towards his own room he still didn't like the idea that something was bothering Charlie and he felt he couldn't share it with the boy he loved. As Charlie walked onto his own room he saw the red hair of Ricky buried in Sebs crotch while Sebs blond hair was visible between Rickys legs. The boys were sixtynining on Sebs bed and apparently both were quite close to finishing. As they came there were moans of pleasure between them before becoming quiet as their orgasms subsided. Ricky spoke first, "Phew! Thanks Seb. That was fun." "Anytime man. You know I love to sixtynine." Seb replied, "Next time they are fucking?" "Hell yeah." Ricky had thrown on his pyjama bottoms and was leaving the room, "Night guys. See you tomorrow." "Night man." Said Seb. "Night dude." Charlie said as Ricky closed the door behind him. Charlie looked at Seb with a grin, "Next time they are fucking?" Seb smiled back, "Yeah. What? You thought me and Ricky would just sit in silence while you and James get it on?" "Haha no. I guess I didn't think about it." "Well, yeah. When you guys are having sex Ricky wants to give you some privacy so he comes down here and we have our own fun." Seb explained. "That's cool. That actually makes me feel better about using their room." Charlie sat on his bed and a brief moment of worry came across his face. Seb noticed, "What's wrong?" Charlie looked at Seb, "Earlier, I was thinking about them. You know the 'not friendly'." "Uh huh." "It must have shown on my face since James asked me what was wrong... " "What did you say?" Seb asked. "I... I told him it was nothing." Charlie looked sad as he told Seb what happened, "I lied to him Seb. I love him and I lied to him." Seb walked over and sat on the bed next to Charlie. He put his arm over his bunk buddies shoulder, "I know man. It's really hard but... We have to. We can't tell them." "I know but... It still feels shitty." Charlie complained. " I know. Look maybe the headmaster will convince the others to let him tell all the boys. Then we can be honest with them." Seb was trying to find some hope for Charlie to feel better. "And then he will know for a fact I lied to him." Seb had failed, "Charlie... You can NOT tell him." "I won't!" Charlie insisted, "I'm tired. Let's get some sleep." "Sure." Seb was a little disappointed with himself. He was usually quite good at finding ways to cheer Charlie up. An early afternoon fuckfest is always a great pastime at Steelrod academy and sharing a boy with your dad who had just miraculously come back from the dead was a bonus" Oh fuck! Ah! Ah! Fuck I'm gonna cum! Ahhhhh!" Nate Carver came in sixteen year old Jeremys arse or as Jeremy called it, his ass. Anthony Carver was busy fucking Jeremy beautiful mouth, "Ohhh good boy! Goooood boy!" He came in no less that seven powerful spurts. Cumming for the first time in six months made it a particularly intense orgasm. Poor Jeremy wasn't prepared for such a heavy load and the lad spluttered and coughed a little. After cleaning himself up and thanking Nate and Anthony for a good time the boy left Nates guest quarters. He had a student council meeting to get to. Anthony had to comment to Nate, "Well he's a fine piece of sex on legs." "Isn't he just?" Nate agreed, "It was so cute the first time he walked up to me and in a whisper he asked-" "Do you have a foreskin?" Anthony guessed. "Yes! Exactly that! How did you know?" Nate replied. Anthony laughed, "It happens to all of us. And the boys that visit from Rockstaff. These American lads fucking love it. I guess since almost all of them are cut having a guy who still has his hood is a bit of a novelty for them." Anthony began outting his clothes back on. There was a knock at the door which Nate answered. A young African American boy of about fourteen was stood there, "Principal needs to see agent Carver." Anthony and Nate looked at each other then back to the black boy, "Which one?" "Oh!" He didn't expect the question, "Err... He didn't say. Just agent Carver." "It's probably me." Anthony said, "But we should both go just in case." "Okay." Nate turned back, "Thanks Daryl." "No problem." Daryl walked away. Anthony had to ask, "You and Daryl?" "Yep." "And... is he-" "Huge." "And did you-" "All of it." "I'm proud of you son." "You bloody should be! The fucking size of it dad!" The two of them walked to the principals office and knocked on the door. They waited and once they heard the instruction to, "Enter." They did. Principal Briggs invited them to, "Please take a seat gentleman. I have some news." Nate and Anthony sat down before the principal continued, "As you know our tech guys have been tracking the 'not friendly' on our network for a while now and they believe they have tracked them to New York city-" "Arrange a plane." Anthony interrupted him, "Get me there asap." "Hold on a second. They still need to narrow down the location some more but they are getting there. I just wanted to keep you updated on that. There is something else though." "What?" Anthony asked. The principal swallowed and looked deadly serious, "We believe that... an attack on Rockstaff is imminent." "What did Benji say when you warned him? Are they prepared?" Anthony asked. The principal said nothing. He just stared at Anthony. Nate spoke up, "What did the headmaster say? Sir?" "Oh my god... " Anthony realised. "Dad? What?" Nate hadn't realised. Anthony stared in horror at pricipal Briggs as he explained the situation to Nate, "He hasn't warned them." "What?!" Nate didn't understand as he looked angrily at the man behind the large desk, "Why not?!" "If he warns them the 'not friendly' will see it." Anthony continued, "They will know we are tracking them and will log out meaning we can't pinpoint their location." "Wait... You mean-" Nate couldn't believe what he was hearing." "Yes son." Anthony continued to stare daggers at the principal, "He is going to sacrifice Rockstaff and everyone there." AUTHORS NOTE: Hi all. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter.
