Cadence Part 25 It did not take long for the week to pass. Saturday, Cade and Nathan hit the skate park. Sunday, Duncan did his thing that was becoming almost normal, by doing something different. This time he showed up a bit before noon. He hung out for the afternoon, goofing off with Jordan while they all sat around on the couch and watched Netflix. Cade worked on some homework that was due after the Thanksgiving break, and reminded his brother that him spending time with Duncan now meant he needed to get his done after dinner. That plan went out the window when Duncan told them to get dressed to go out at barely 3pm. When Jordan asked, Duncan just said it was a surprise. Cade thought he knew what was going on when they got on the interstate, but they passed right by Duluth, where the mall was located. Instead, they seemed to be heading into Atlanta. Nearly an hour and a half from home, they pulled into the massive parking lot of a very busy mall. Cade and Jordan were very confused, but extremely excited. Duncan laughed as both boys peppered him with questions about what the plan was. Surely this mall didn't have anything their local mall had. After all, Duluth was a pretty big mall. Then to drive the boys mad, Duncan drug his feet, dipping into this store and that. They visited an Anime merch store, and a big plushie store, then the ultimate tease, an actual LEGO store. Finally Duncan informed them it was finally time for dinner. They walked down the big, busy central hallway of the mall. Up ahead Cade saw the restaurant sign and got seriously excited. "Dave and Busters? Really?!?" Cade squealed. "What's Dave and Busters?" asked Jordan, confused. "It's a restaurant and an arcade, all in one place!" said Cade. "Like hamburgers and steaks, but also racing games and FPS shooters. I've heard this place is awesome." "Aww, sorry guys," said Duncan. "I didn't know you'd want to do a place like this." Jordan stopped in his tracks. His face fell as he said, "You mean we aren't eatin' here?" Cade wanted to lose it. He went back and put his arm around his brother's shoulder, pulling him into a side hug. Why the FUCK would Duncan bring them to a place like this, and then tell them they weren't going here. This had better have been a joke, or Cade was absolutely going to go off. Of all the shitty things Duncan could do. And he said so. "You'd better be fucking joking," he said to Duncan. "I mean, what the hell." "Damn," said Duncan. "If I'd known this place would excite you so much, I wouldn't have made the reservations next door." "Next door?" asked Cade skeptically. He tried looking past Duncan, trying to see what else was in view. He couldn't make anything out through the mall decorations and massive crowd of people in the next stretch of mallway. Then he saw a guy that confused him. He was maybe college age, and was carrying a trumpet. But he was dressed weird. It was like a long shirt that came down mid thigh, with a brown vest and skin tight pants. His collar and sleeves had ruffles on them. He looked like someone out of their D&D game. Duncan grabbed the boys' hands and pulled them along. They went and got in line behind about twenty or so people. It looked like a bunch of movie cashier windows, all to go into a store that looked like it was medieval fantasy themed. They had to pay to go into a store? Finally he noticed some of the signs around the windows and outer walls, naming the place "Medieval Times". "What is this place?" asked Jordan, showing as much confusion as Cade felt. "Just wait and see, guys. I promise, it will be worth it. By the way, what color should we be looking for?" "Color?" asked Jordan. "Blue!" "Blue it is," said Duncan. Once they got to the cashier's window, Duncan passed the girl a printed paper he had. Cade looked around at the signs, trying to get a feel for what the place was. He saw "showtimes" listed, with only one for tonight, set for about 45 minutes away. Then he saw a price list and his jaw dropped. $67 for adults? $40 for children? What the hell was this place? Duncan was handed some tickets and then moved forward. Once they got to the opening of the place, there was a big hallway with banners on the wall. The place was decorated with stone walls as if it was the inside of a castle, and was dimly lit. After he said something to the man at a big table, Duncan was handed three blue laminated cards, about the size of playing cards. All three of them were given cardboard crowns, blue with gold trim. That's the first time Cade noticed that beneath the name Medieval Times, it also said "Dinner & Tournament". Dinner? Cool. Tournament? Huh? They were ushered into the first hallway, where they stepped to the side and took a group picture with a pretty girl dressed up as a princess. By this point, Cade thought Jordan was going to pee himself, he was so excited. From there they went into a vast, dimly lit store. Everything there was all fantasy or medieval themed. For about 40 minutes, Cade was running around chasing after Jordan, who wanted to see - every -- single -- display counter in the place. Cade was seriously jealous about all the cool stuff, especially when they got to the side that had stuff like pewter miniatures, carved dragons, and all sorts of statues. About halfway through their wait, Duncan came and found them. "I'll let you get something. They are a bit pricey here, so try to keep it under twenty bucks or so." Jordan's face lit up, as did Cade's. So Duncan added one word. "Each." "Yes!" screamed Jordan. At first Jordan ran around and looked at the wooden swords and all the neon glowing junk. But eventually he realized that Cade was looking at all the figures, and happily joined his big brother. In the end, they picked a pewter miniature each, a knight for Jordan and a wizard for Cade, and then pooled the rest of their money for a slightly larger figure as a Christmas present for Nathan. Surprisingly that was Jordan's idea, and Cade was really proud of his brother. Cade had noticed that all the staff were dressed like the guy outside, like pages and tavern wenches. They had already seen the princess and the king when they came in. Therefore he wasn't too surprised to hear a trumpet being blown and everyone called over to one side of the cavernous store. There, the King's Advisor gave a speech, basically outlining the story that was supposed to be taking place. Something about an invading kingdom that they were trying to make peace with. It was so awesome! It was like all the adults were play-acting a D&D game. Jordan was bouncing on his heels, over the moon with how excited he was. Cade was trying to play it cool, but he was just about right there with his brother. They were called in by color section, blue being second, through a wide series of doors. Cade's jaw hit the floor when he saw they were led into stadium seats around an indoor arena covered not with grass, but with sand. They ended up with front row seats in their section, set to the side of one of the end zones. Once they were seated, Cade finally had to say something. "I'm sorry about earlier, Duncan," he said. "We should have trusted you, that you had something better planned." "Yeah, I'm sorry too!" added Jordan. "This is awesome! "It really is," added Cade. "Thank you for all this." "It's fine, guys," said Duncan with a grin. "I'm glad you guys are enjoying yourselves." After a pause, Cade had to add his thoughts. "Isn't this crazy expensive though? I mean, thanks, really! But wow." "Eh, it's fine," scoffed Duncan. "My new job has a lot of perks, including some pretty sweet discounts to places like this." "Does that mean we get to do more stuff like this?" squealed Jordan, hopping and rocking with glee. Duncan laughed. "We'll see, guys. Just kick back and have fun." The next hour was like something out of a fever dream for Cade and his brother. Their server instructed them on table manners, mainly that their hands were the only silverware provided, and that they were ordered, "by the king" to cheer on the Blue Knight during the show. Then the advisor, king, and princess took it in turns to explain more of the backstory, how there was a tournament of six knights, and that all in attendance were invited to a feast. They got to watch as actual knights on horseback entered the arena and competed in a series of events, including actual jousting. The boys cheered and yelled as the wooden lances splintered into a thousand pieces, knights got knocked on their asses, and then continued their combat on foot, with swords and polearms bashing against shields and throwing up sparks whenever metal met metal. Each round, one or the other were eliminated. Their Blue Knight was doing well, winning his first bout, and the boys were screaming themselves hoarse, seemingly trying to out-cheer the other. Near the end, the Black Knight turned out to be an enemy traitor, and fought against all the other knights. Cade was being silly, cheering on the betrayer, before laughing as he was finally taken down by the other knights. At various stages during the tournament, their server kept coming by with more and more food. They had roast chicken, "dragon's blood" soup, which was spicy tomato bisque, ribs, toast, and an apple pastry after. Cade and Jordan both barely managed to eat half of what they were given. By the time the show was wrapping up, they were both stuffed and exhausted, with adrenaline the only thing keeping them on their feet. In the end, in addition to their paper crowns, they were given blue pennants that they had been waving around when the Blue Knight was on the field, and at the end, each of them were given fancy folders that were basically a program of the evening, with big 8x10 copies of the photo that had been taken at the entrance with the princess. Jordan was unconscious on his feet by the time they made it back to the car. Cade's body wanted to pass out as well, as Duncan nosed through the crowd of other cars leaving the mall after the show, and then got back on the interstate. Instead, Cade's mind was spinning in circles. The entire evening had been awesome. True, it would have been better to have some warning, so that he could have made sure that he and his brother had done their homework earlier in the weekend. But still, even with Duncan saying he got a discount on their tickets, he still had to have paid out a pretty sizable chunk of change. He compared this to a year ago, hell, even a few months ago. Every load of groceries came with a cost of an argument and a guilt trip. Duncan acted like a $20 bill cost a small country's defense budget. Now he was throwing out money like candy, taking them out to dinner, buying them new clothes, toys for Jordan, and salon hair jobs? Then add onto that the frequency of Duncan's visits to the house, and how often they had sex. A year ago, Duncan was actually living with them, and the sex was daily. Up until a couple of months ago, he was still over four or five times a week. Now they barely saw him once a week. Maybe twice if something was going on. Cade was trying to think of different options here, but the best he could come up with was, either Duncan's new job was paying a hell of a lot more but eating up a lot of his time, or... Duncan had something else going on that he felt guilty about, and was trying to make up for it. Maybe Duncan had a girlfriend. Or even a boyfriend? Either way, someone his own age he was trying to date. That could explain it, maybe. It didn't seem likely that he had another boy like Cade on the side. That wouldn't make sense, since that would cost him more money, and not give him any more sex. Not if he was giving up time with Cade to make time for someone else. Cade had to mull that one over. He really didn't care if Duncan had an adult partner. That wouldn't make him jealous. Cade had never considered them boyfriends, and from Duncan's reaction to James, neither did Duncan. And if Duncan did find a different teen to be his plaything, did that bother Cade? He had to seriously think about that. No, it didn't. The only way Duncan's relationship affected him was if it got terminated. Either way, it gave Cade a lot to think about. Monday morning was pretty crazy, matching the insanity of the night before. Fortunately Jordan didn't have that much homework that he hadn't completed, because even though it was barely 8:30 when they had made it home, the little guy was out of it. But after the thoughts going through Cade's head in the car, Duncan really confused him when they went to bed. They had both stripped down, but it was more subdued, quieter, as if the evening had taken as much out of Duncan as it had the brothers. They had then gotten into bed, and with the older man saying that he hoped they had enjoyed the evening, he had simply pulled the teen against his chest, and allowed them to both drift off to sleep. So now it was back to school for three days, then a nice, long holiday weekend. Most of the regular classes were kind of stalled out, with everyone in the mood for the upcoming holiday spirit. However, the AP classes were in it until the last bell, so Cade was not about to allow himself to relax. It gave him something to concentrate on, to keep his mind off whatever was going on with Duncan. Of course just when he thought he was clear of distractions, James came and found him, yet again, in the library. Cade was kind of swept away, and he wasn't sure how it happened, but before he knew it, he found himself agreeing to let James stop by the house after school. That became the only thing Cade could think about the rest of the afternoon. Taking notes in classes became an exercise in futility, although he did his best. The closer his bus got to his house, the more nervous he became. What if Jordan needed his attention that afternoon? What if Duncan decided to stop by? Had he fixed up the sheets on his bed Saturday night? Letting himself into the house, he quickly found Jordan at the kitchen table, working on homework. "Hey Jor-bear. How was school?" "Not bad. Aced my math test with a 93." Laughing, Cade ruffled his brother's neon locks. "You do know that "acing" a test means you made a hundred?" With an adorable look of confusion, Jordan said, "I thought it just meant you did really good." "Good enough," grinned Cade. "Glad you aced it. So I need another favor." "Keep these up, I'm going to own you!" giggled Jordan. "James wants to come over for a bit," said Cade hesitantly. "Is that okay?" "Sure," said Jordan. "Are you going to have smoochy, smoochy se-ex?" he sing-songed. "Shush," laughed Cade. "You know you are going to regret all this when I get my own girlfriend!" "Yeah?" "Or boyfriend, whichever," mused the youngster. "Well, I hope you know when it comes to all that, you can talk to me," said Cade, giving his brother a side hug. "I think by this point, there's not much we can't talk about." "I know," piped Jordan. "But seeing how much dating has you running around in circles, I think I'm going to wait until college or something." "Good call, Jor-bear." About ten minutes later, the doorbell rang. Cade let James in and tried to usher him quickly back to his room. The taller teen stalled him out though, when he saw Jordan. "Hey, Jordan," he said, stopping to wave. Jordan gave a little wave, but seemed confused by the attention. Then James said, "Look, I wanted to say I'm sorry. I was wrong to give you shit about your hair. It probably won't help, but I gave your brother here as much teasing." As he said this, he grabbed Cade in a shoulder hug. "The point is, I really like your brother, and I know I messed up with you when we met last week. Can you forgive me?" Jordan sat there with a curious look on his face. He looked up at Cade, as if searching for a clue how he should answer. Cade just gave him a shrug and a grin. "On one condition," said Jordan, a serious look on his face. "Do I get a BJ out of it?" James looked at the little kid, trying to figure out if he was serious. He looked at Cade, who had an equally serious look. "Don't look at me," said Cade. "You're the one that asked him what it would take for him to forgive you." But then he couldn't hold back and started laughing. Jordan quickly joined in, not able to stay quiet once his brother was laughing. "Oh, ha ha," said James, but he was smiling as well. He held out his hand and Jordan bumped fists with him. "Now that we are all family," said the ten year old on the couch, "Go on back and do embarrassing things to each other while I can still hear you." Cade was shocked, but he and James were probably blushing equally. Laughing, Cade grabbed James' hand and dragged him back to his bedroom. Once the door was locked, they quickly managed to strip one another. Soon they were laying on the bed, making out and feeling each other up. "Do you want to fuck me this time?" asked James. "That was pretty hot, and I owe you from last week." Cade put his head on James' shoulder. "It was a new experience, for sure. I'd never topped before. But is it okay if it's not for me?" James laughed softly, sliding down Cade's body, licking down his ribs, holding onto his exposed hip bones as he worked his way down the skinny teen. "How about I give you another one of those award winning blowjobs, then?" Lifting Cade's semi-hard cock up against his stomach, James leaned in to start lapping at Cade's mostly hairless balls. The younger teen started softly moaning at the gentle attention to his orbs. After a few moments of wet attention, James no longer needed to hold his cock away, as it was standing at full attention. The older teen used two fingers along the top of the shaft to bend it back down, and with one movement, began slathering its length with his mouth. Within moments it was soaked in saliva, and he began working to deep throat Cade's cock. Both boys moaned as the blowjob got seriously underway. Both James and Cade jumped, the former almost biting the cock in his mouth, as a heavy "bang, bang", reverberated through the bedroom door. They jumped apart and Cade yelled out, "The hell?" as they heard giggling coming from the other side of the door, and footsteps thumping back down the hall toward the living room. They laughed and laughed, as James rested his head on Cade's concave stomach.
