This is a chapter story.

Where we left off last time...

"I'm sorry sir, but she checked out earlier this morning."

"What?"

"Yes, she checked out. I'm sorry."

And the story continues...Chapter 8 - Get ready to die!

Just then, there was a pounding on their front door. Taylor ran over and as he turned the knob, a large man kicked it open.

"Liam!"

Liam had already jumped up because he saw the man approaching the door through the window, but he didn't get a chance to warn Taylor. The man charged at Taylor, but the boy was able to run behind Liam, who blocked the way. Liam was no match for this man, but he had grabbed his 9MM CZ75B from the gun safe tucked under the kitchen island overhang and hit the panic alarm. Thankfully, he kept a round chambered since that would be hard to do with one hand. Unfortunately, his dominant hand was hurt, but he was pretty good with his left hand and figured at this close of a range, his aim wouldn't be as important.

The man saw the gun before he reached for his and backed off of Taylor.

"It's him, Liam. It's him."

"Get the fuck out of my house!" Liam started moving toward the man. "Get out."

"Not until I get what's mine. That boy owes me, and so does his momma. Where the fuck is she, kid?"

"She's gone, and you better be too!"

"No way, kid, if momma ain't earnin', you have to make up for it."

"Get the fuck out!" Liam started closing in on the man.

"Not without the kid."

"You touch him and you leave in a body bag."

Taylor was surprised at how calm Liam was in this situation. He wasn't being irrational, he was standing his ground against the man that was twice his size.

"This ain't over, kid." He said this as he heard police cars approaching.

"Yes it is!" came a voice from the front porch. Put your hands up and face away from me.

As the man turned, Liam and Taylor saw fire in the man's eyes. They knew he wouldn't give up so easily.

A second officer entered the house with his gun drawn. Liam had stepped back and placed his gun on the counter and stepped away. Liam and Taylor had their hands up and were in plain sight.

"What's going on?" Asked the officer.

"That man broke in and threatened the boy. My gun is on that counter, and it has a live round in the chamber. Could you please empty it? As you can see, I have a bum hand and I don't think the boy has ever touched a gun."

The officer holstered his weapon and emptied the chamber of Liam's gun, pulled the magazine and left it on the counter.

"Tell us what you know."

They proceeded to tell the officer about the man, that he had recruited both Taylor and his mom into prostitution and abused the boy.

"Do you have proof of this abuse?"

"We do officer, and we have video of him raping the boy, but if there is any other way that we can proceed, we don't want to have the boy shamed in the news."

"Well, how about this, we can charge him on a couple of counts for breaking in and threatening you. You're lucky though, the asshole had a gun, so we can get him on assault with intent to cause bodily harm or maybe attempted murder. It's a good thing he didn't pull it on you, I'm not sure you could have stopped him."

"Let's not worry about that officer, but if he had, you would have been calling the coroner for him." Liam had been through some very specialized training in weapons at one point, but decided not to follow that career. His training kept him safe, but he was afraid of his temper, so he opted to work with cars that don't talk back.

"Ha, well, I'm sure I would have called them for one of you." The officer wasn't sure of Liam's skills.

"Officer, which jail will he be taken to?" Taylor asked.

"He's going to county. Why?"

"That's where they took my dad. The cops told the other prisoners that he killed a kid, and they took him out."

"Well, if I tell them he likes raping little boys, what do you think will happen?"

"Hey, I'm not a little..." Taylor was getting defensive but saw where this was heading. "I think they would give him a nice welcome party. It might even save the county some money and open up a space for another prisoner."

"Kid, you're twisted, but I like the way you think. I'll let you know if we need the proof, but let's hope things work out in your favor first." The officer said. They finished their reports and transported the pimp off to county.

Once the officers left and Taylor locked the front door, Liam slumped to the couch, shaking uncontrollably.

Taylor ran to his side and hugged his man.

"I love you so much. You saved me. You know I owe you my life now, right?"

"I'd do anything for the one I love. If he had pulled his gun, he would have had to shoot me first."

"I know. I've seen how you are, Liam. Now it's time for me to help you. You never let anyone else in and then you get angry. Let me take care of you now."

Taylor was hugging and kissing Liam when his phone rang from an unknown caller. "Hello?"

"Taylor, it's me."

"Mom, I was worried. What's going on?"

"I took the money that Liam gave me, and I'm on my way to Aunt Kathie's house. I stopped by and grabbed a few things when I knew nobody would be looking for me and just took off. Tell Liam thanks, and I'm so sorry for what happened. I will make it up to you. I had to get a new phone, so I couldn't be traced. I'll text you the number since I blocked it on outgoing calls."

"OK Mom, I wish we would have been able to say goodbye, but I guess we will see you later. Love you mom!"

"Love you more, son!"

The call ended. Taylor didn't get a chance to tell his mom about the pimp assaulting him.

Taylor set his phone down and turned back to Liam. "It's all going to be OK, I just know it." Taylor whispered to Liam as he hugged him tight. Liam started to cry.

"Taylor, I thought I was going to lose you. I didn't know if we were both going to be killed or if he was going to abduct you. I wasn't about to let that happen."

"Shhh. It's OK. We're both OK."

"No, it's not OK, I don't want you to be threatened in OUR home. You need to feel safe here. I can't protect you all the time."

"Liam, one thing you don't know about me is that having a drunk dad means learning to be on the defense all the time. I know how to avoid a punch, to get away and how to take down my attacker. I've never had to deal with someone that was armed, though. Thank God he didn't pull his gun."

"I wish he had. I would have wasted him right here. He doesn't deserve to live."

"Maybe, but think about the mess. Would you want to clean his brain matter out of your walls?"

"Eww." Liam started to laugh.

"There, laugh. Let's lighten the mood. You didn't lose me, and you're not going to."

"Grab a bag, we aren't staying here tonight."

The two packed an overnight bag, Liam set the alarm system, and they went off to the hotel. When they got there, they went up to the front desk. The same clerk was there that helped them with Taylor's mom.

"Hi guys! She checked out this morning."

"We know, we need a room for tonight. We were hoping you still had the one we reserved for her?"

"Sorry guys, we checked her out and the hotel is pretty full tonight. I only have one room left and it's a bit more expensive."

"That's fine, we'll take it. We can't go home."

The clerk picked up a house phone and dialed housekeeping. "I have guests checking into 1169. Yes, please. They are on their way up now. The clerk giggled for a second. "Here you two go." He turned away, giggling again. He suspected Liam was gay and was pretty sure Taylor was as well.

Liam and Taylor went to the elevator and pressed the button for the top floor. The door opened and there was a hallway, but not as many doors as on a normal floor. They went to the door at the end of the hallway that had a heart around the room number. "Here it is, Room 1169."

Taylor giggled. He was wondering why the number had a heart around it, but the moment the door opened, he understood. There were rose petals on the floor. A bottle of champagne on ice with two flutes. This was a huge suite. He could see into the bathroom. The bath had been filled with strawberry scented bubbles. The lights were dimmed and there was some smooth jazz playing. Liam was behind him, trying to push through the door. Taylor threw his bag aside and put his hands over Liam's eyes.

"What are you doing? Get your sweaty hands off my face!"

"Shh, just keep your eyes closed for a second and come in."

"Whatever, Taylor, I just want to lie down and relax. What's that music?"

"Drop your bag, but keep your eyes closed."

"OK, what?"

"Take my hand."

Taylor led him to the side of the bed and backed him up until his legs hit the side. He pushed Liam back onto the bed. "Open your eyes."

Liam had a split second before Taylor was on top of him, kissing him uncontrollably.

Taylor pulled off. "We got the honeymoon suite. Where's my ring?"

"What the, hey, this is cool. About that ring, I think we need to go shopping. But it will be a promise ring. I'm afraid I'll fuck this up, Taylor. I don't want to mess this up."

"You won't. Besides, you can't really marry me for a couple of years. I'll wait, but now, I want to make love. First though, let's look at the room."

Taylor jumped up and pulled Liam up. He hugged him and then began to strip him. Liam returned to the hasty undressing and stripped Taylor. Led by his hand, Liam walked into the bathroom and saw the oversize tub full of bubbles. They both quickly got into the bath.

"Where did you go? I can't see you." Taylor was swatting away bubbles. Suddenly, Liam was in his face. "Right here, my love!"

They kissed and sloshed in the tub. Maybe this was more than a tub, it was a fairly large jacuzzi with a recliner and seats that were set up for, well, a couple to really enjoy themselves. They rubbed against each other and kissed and humped until the water was cold and both of them had cum. They got out of the bath, dried off, and laid on the bed staring at the ceiling.

"What a day." Liam said.

Taylor sighed, "Yeah."

They dozed for a bit. Probably from the adrenaline of the morning and the workout in the bath. Taylor's stomach growled loud enough to wake Liam.

"What was that?" Liam shouted.

Taylor was startled awake. "What was what?"

"Your stomach growled so loudly it woke me up!" Liam laughed and leaned in to tickle Taylor.

"Stop, I'm gonna pee!" Taylor squealed, jumped up, and ran to the bathroom.

"Can we get some food?" Taylor hollered. Liam was slowly getting up.

"Sure, how about we go to the steakhouse downstairs. I hear it's really good."

"Fine with me."

They dressed and went down to dinner. On the way past the front counter, the clerk smiled. Liam gave him a thank you nod. The clerk noticed a fresh hickey on Taylor's neck and just smiled back.

After dinner, they went for a walk along the garden walk. It was a beautiful evening. Taylor reached over to hold Liam's hand. "I love you." He said.

"And I love you more."

"Thank you for being so calm today and protecting me."

"You saw me break down after. I was pissing myself inside when that all went down. I'm just glad we're all OK."

"Me too, but I knew you would be there to protect me. Now I know how much you love me."

"Taylor, I'd give my life for you, you know that. I've proved that to you, and things could have gone that way. Everything that has happened between us. It all seems surreal."

"I told you, I knew you were the one from the first day I saw you. I know you thought I was stalking you, but you noticed me too. I think it's just kismet. We were meant to be together. I fell for you, just watching you. You were so predictable. Sitting at the same table, ordering the same food. You just felt... I don't know, right? I don't know how to say it. I was scared shitless when I asked to sit at your table. I figured you would turn me away, but when you agreed to let me sit, I knew it was meant to be. Then I, well, you know the rest."

"I felt the same way when I saw you all the time. I saw a boy that had drive, someone that needed something in his life. When you asked to sit with me, I felt butterflies. When you ran off, I was sad and figured I had to do something. I didn't want you to be embarrassed and avoid me or be awkward. I felt something too. While I never intended to have such a passionate fling with you on our first meeting, I'm so glad I got up to help. I honestly wish we could erase the sexual encounter out of our first meeting. I don't want it to cloud "US" as we move forward. I don't want it to seem like we were just out for a quick fuck, but Tay, I love you so much and I couldn't hold back. I'm just so glad we are together. We need to figure out what's next, but not tonight. Tonight I have my love at my side. We're safe, together, and nobody is going to threaten us."

Sex didn't seem appropriate after that talk, but they were both content and happy to be holding their lover.

"Hold me. Just hold me." Taylor said to Liam as he locked lips with his man. They held each other and slept soundly through the night.
