Guardian Angel By: Silent Ninja Introduction Hello, My name is Jeff Anderson and I want to take a moment to introduce myself. I am a very successful 32 year old Pediatrician with my own private practice in Dallas Texas, where I work because I want to and not because I need the work. I have sandy brown hair, blue eyes, and I'm six foot three inches tall. I drive a fully customized, charcoal gray, Silverado. My hobbies include: Riding my pinto stud Legacy, swimming or working out. I own a 1,500 acre horse ranch where we raise beautiful appaloosa and pinto quarter horses. My ranch is for selfish reasons, I bought it because I'm a true cowboy at heart and I love horses. I live in a very large six bedroom home and each one with their own private bath, a full size Olympic pool room with shower Facilities and an awesome home gym in my basement. I volunteer at least three afternoons a week at the free clinic down town. This is where I use something I love doing to help disadvantaged children. Oh yeah, there is one more thing I need to tell you about myself. I'm an avid boylover and I have been since I was twelve years old, when I had my first sexual experience with my ten year old next door neighbor Blake,. Now on with the story. Chapter 1: An Angel In Distress I was pulled out of a sound sleep Friday morning by my annoying buzzing alarm clock. Buzz, buzz smack! I silenced it, got up and took my shower, and got ready for work. Once ready for work I went into my kitchen and started the coffee maker, popped two pieces of bread in the toaster, let my boxer Max outside and by that time the toast and coffee were done. As I ate my toast and drank my coffee I read through the morning newspaper, noticing all the heart breaking stories about homeless children that seemed to show up in the paper every single day. I decided right then to do something about it. As I drove to my office an idea began to form in my mind. I would make a difference; I would do something to help. I unlocked the office, turned off the alarm system and flipped on all the lights just as my secretary and nurse arrived. "Good morning Dr. Anderson," my secretary and nurse said as they came into the office. My Secretary Dixie chuckled and said, "One day I will get here first." Then she walked over and got the coffee maker started. "Good morning ladies." I answered with a chuckle. "Dixie, can you please call Police Chief Simmons, Mayor Blackwell, Sheriff Cox and CPS Director Rhonda Watson and ask them if they could meet me for lunch?" I asked. "Sure Dr. Anderson. I'll call them now, and I'll make reservations for you at the Long Horn Stake House." She answered with a smile. As Dixie got busy with her phone calls, I fixed myself a cup of coffee and got ready for my first patient. My nurse Debby and I worked our way through the normal check ups, sinus problems and simple stuff until 10:45. Then everything change drastically. When Debby knocked on my office door a few minutes later, I knew something was wrong when I saw the look on her face. "What's wrong Debby?" I asked with a sinking feeling in my stomach. "It's the little boy in the exam room Doctor; I think he has been beat." She said with a shutter. "The boy's dad said he had a bike wreck, but I don't believe him." She continued. "Ok Debby, I'll handle it. Have Dixie call Police Chief Simmons, tell him what we suspect then tell him to be here as soon as possible, and to come in through the back door." I said as I headed to the exam room. As soon as I entered the exam room and saw the little boy Debby was talking about, I knew that what happened to him wasn't no bike wreck. I smiled at him and asked, "Hi, my name is Dr. Anderson, What is yours?" Immediately his dad spoke up and told me the boy's name was Teddy. I have always had a problem with people talking for someone else, so I turn toward his dad and ask him to wait out in the lobby until I've had a chance to examine his son. As the asshole stomped out of the exam room heading toward the lobby, I looked at the little guy and asked again, "What is your name?" He looked up at me, gave me a weak smile, and said as he began to cry, "My name is Teddy Mitchell, and I'm hurting really bad Dr. Anderson." I gave him my best reassuring smile and asked, "Now what happened to you Teddy? You didn't really have a bike wreck did you?" Teddy immediately dropped his head in shame and began to cry. I reached over, placed two fingers under his quivering chin and raised his head so I could look him eye to eye. When I had his total attention I asked, "Please Teddy, tell me who hurt you and I promise they will never hurt you again." Teddy began to cry uncontrollably and through his tears and racking sobs he timidly said, "My dad did this to me, when he caught my friend Bobby and I sucking each other's dicks." He continued by saying, "He kept calling me names and telling me he would not have a fag living in his house." Just then there was a knock on the exam room door and Teddy began to panic. He looked like a deer caught in headlights. He began to sob saying, "Please Dr. Anderson, don't let him hurt me." I assured him that no one was ever going to hurt him again and he finally calmed down enough so I could see who was at the exam room door. When I opened the door there stood Police Chief Simmons and two of his officers standing in the hallway. I quickly stepped out into the hallway and filled everyone in on what was going on. I invited Police Chief Simmons back into the exam room with me. I introduced Teddy to him and told Teddy that Police Chief Tom Simmons was here to stop his dad from ever hurting him again. Tom started off by smiling at Teddy and saying, "Teddy, I'm so sorry this happened to you. If you tell me that your Dad did this to you, I'll lock him up and he won't hurt anyone else ever again." He continued by explaining to Teddy he needed to take pictures of his bruises for evidence. Through lots of fresh tears Teddy told Police Chief Simmons the entire story and when he had finished his story Police Chief Simmons gave him a hug and walked out of the room. I gave Teddy a complete exam and even ordered x-rays on his ribs thinking to myself two may be cracked or broke. Once x-ray brought in the portable x-ray machine I walked out into the hallway to talk to the policemen. They all looked up at me when I came out of the exam room and Officer Simmons asked, "Jeff, How do you want to handle this?" Before I could say anything he continued, "Jeff, Why don't you send Debby out to the lobby and tell Teddy's dad you need to talk to him about his son in your office then when he enters your office we can arrest him with little trouble." I knotted in agreement and headed to my office. The other two officers came with me, while Police Chief Simmons stayed at Teddy's door. The two officers went into my private bathroom to wait until they were needed. I just got sat down at my desk when Teddy's father knocked and I said, "Come in." When Mr. Mitchell came through my door I could tell right off he was not happy and then he opened his mouth and proved it by saying, "What did the little shit tell you?, What is wrong with the little fag? How much is all this going to cost me?" I tried really hard to control my anger before I said, "Well to start with I believe your son has at least two broke ribs, a concussion and lots of real deep bruising." Then I continued and said, "Now for how much all of this is going to cost you? You son of a bitch it is going to cost you about forty years, because he told us you done that to him not a bike wreck." Mr. Mitchell lunged toward me screaming, "I'll kill you, you asshole." The two officers quickly grabbed him and had him handcuffed before he realized they were in the room. They hurried him out to their patrol car, put him in the back seat then headed to the jail with him. I hurried back to Teddy's exam room. I opened his door and saw him and Officer Simmons talking like they were long lost family members. I grabbed the x-rays, put them upon the screen and saw right away that Teddy had no broken ribs. Relief went through my body as I turned to talk to Teddy, "Well little guy, I have good news, you don't have any broken ribs and you should start to feel better in a few days. I'll give you some medication to help you deal with the pain and you should be as good as new in about a week to ten days. " "Thanks Doc Anderson, but what about my Dad?" He asked with concern. "Do I gotta go home with him?" He asked with fear in his eyes. I looked at him, gave him a big smile and answered him, "No Teddy, You don't have to go home with him anymore. They took him to jail for what he did to you. He will never hurt you again." When Teddy began to cry harder it confused me for a minute until he said, "I don't have any place to live now, what will happen to me?" I walked over to him, gave him a big hug and said, "Teddy, do you trust me?" When he knotted his head, I continued and said, "I'll take care of everything, don't worry." I gave Teddy a pain pill, pulled up the rails on the side of the bed and told him to get some sleep and we would talk in a little while. Simmons and I walked out of Teddy's room and down to my office so we could talk. Debby met us and said, "No more patients today Doctor Anderson, the last two called and rescheduled." I thanked her and I asked her would she mind keeping an eye on Teddy. Then I went into my office. I fixed myself a cup of coffee, offered Simmons one then sat down at my desk shaking my head. "I don't understand people Tom. How can anyone hurt a child?" Tom shook his head replying, "Jeff, I've been in law enforcement almost twenty years now and that is something I've never understood. I see this kind of thing on a daily bases." "Do you think we need to call Rhonda Watson and fill her in on the situation before she leaves her office? That way she can be prepared to help Teddy when she gets here." I sat there for a moment before I began to speak. "Tom, problems like this and the homeless children situation is just what I wanted to talk to you, Mayor Blackwell, Sheriff Cox and Rhonda Watson. I'll fill you all in on my plan when everyone arrives at the Restaurant." I picked up my phone then called Rhonda at her office and quickly filled her in on Teddy's situation. She said she would meet us at the Restaurant and we hung up. I called Debby into my office and asked her would she go to Wal-Mart and pick up some clean clothes for Teddy because I knew she had kids about his size and would come close of picking out some that would fit him. She quickly agreed. I gave her some money and she was off to Wal-Mart. She was back in about thirty minutes and I invited Debby and her children to come eat with us so her kids could help keep Teddy busy for a little while so we could talk. Then I went to wake Teddy and get him ready to go meet the others at the Restaurant. I walked into Teddy's room ready to wake him up, but when I came through the door he was looking at me with those big blue eyes and smiling at me with his beautiful dazzling smile. I knew right then I wanted this kid to be my son. "Hey little buddy, are you hungry? We got to get you cleaned up a little so we can go get something to eat." I told him as I wet a few paper towels and began to clean him up so he could put his new clothes on. Once he was dressed, I grabbed a few sample pain pills to do him for a few days then we were off to meet the others. He gave Debby and Dixie hugs before we headed out to my car. When Teddy saw my four-wheel-drive Silverado pick up, he got real excited and ran over to it and began to check it out. "Oh man, Dr. Anderson, this truck is totally cool." He exclaimed. Once I had Teddy all buckled up we headed towards the Restaurant with Police Chief Simmons following us. We arrived at the Restaurant about ten minutes later. We got out of the truck and headed inside to meet the others. Once inside we were led back to the private room Dixie reserved for us when she made the Reservation. Everyone was there accept Debby and her kids but they arrived about five minutes later and we all placed our orders. Once everyone was finish eating, Debby told her eldest son to take his brothers and Teddy next door to the arcade for a little while so the adults could talk. I gave Teddy some money and they were on their way laughing and joking like boys do. As soon as the boys were gone I began to lay out my plan to my guests. I told them how I wanted to use my horse ranch to help kids like Teddy. I told them money was not an issue. I told them I also wanted to get the homeless kids off the streets. What I'm trying real hard to say is I want to make a difference for these kids. I looked at Rhonda and told her I wanted to adopt Teddy. I told her he has already stolen my heart. I looked around the table at each one of them and said, "Please guys, help me make a difference for these kids." Rhonda reached down and placed her briefcase upon the table and began getting the paperwork together that would place Teddy in my home and make me his legal guardian. While she was busy Mayor Blackwell said, "Jeff, this is a great idea. Are you sure you want the responsibility that comes with a project this size?" I assured him I did. I was ready to make a difference in kids' lives that would never have a chance like this again. I'll teach them to be responsible. I'll give them things they can do around the ranch to help. I'll make sure they get a good education, but most of all I'll make sure they can be kids and have fun. When I had finished my speech, I had their full support. Rhonda had finished her paperwork and was ready for me to sign them. I told Mayor Blackwell I would have a proposal that outlined the entire project on his desk by Monday morning. Then we heard the boys coming back and I ask Rhonda if I could tell Teddy the good news. She nodded her head and when Teddy came back over to the table, I called him over to me. "Teddy, do you remember that I made you a promise about where you would live?" He timidly shook his head and stared at me with hopeful eyes. I smiled at him and asked, "How would you like to come live with me?" I received my answer when I had a lapful of crying Teddy saying, "Oh thank you Dr. Anderson, thank you, I'll be good for you I promise." I quickly got Debby's oldest son Daniel to take Teddy to the restroom and help him get his face washed. When I looked around the table I saw all of my lunch guests wiping their eyes and each one of them told me how happy they were for both of us. Teddy came bouncing back in from the restroom about then and we all got up to leave. After paying the check, Teddy and I headed for our Silverado and home. On the way to the ranch Teddy and I talked about everything from his favorite subject in school, his hobbies, what kinds of animals he liked, to what he like and didn't like to eat. I found out he loved to read, play soccer and baseball, put model cars together and he liked most things to eat but his favorite was pizza. As I slowed my truck Teddy looked all around and said, "I don't see your house, why are you slowing down?" Then his eyes got real big when I pushed a button on my remote that opened a large gate that blocked the road we were turning on. "Do you live on this road?" Teddy asked. "Nope we live on this road but this is not a road it is my driveway." I answered him. Before getting to the house I stopped the truck, got out and gave a very loud whistle. A couple a minutes later some of my horses came flying over the hill toward us. "Oh WOW!" Teddy exclaimed as he jumped out of the truck and came over to stand beside me. "Are these horses yours?" "Nope, these horses belong to both of us. Teddy, you are my family now and what is mine belongs to you now also." The waterworks started again as he kept repeating, "Oh thank you, thank you Daddy." He suddenly pulled away from me and said, "I'm sorry Dr. Anderson, please don't be mad at me." I knelt down in front of him wrapping my arms around him. "Oh Teddy, don't worry buddy I'm not mad at you. You can call me what ever you want to call me. If you want to call me Daddy I would be honored." We both got back into the truck and drove on to the house. When Teddy saw the house I thought his eyes were gonna pop out of his head they got so big. "WOW! That house is huge." He shouted. I parked, got out and was almost knocked over by an excited Max coming to say howdy. I called Teddy over to me, introduced him to Max and they were instant friends. I grabbed Teddy, threw him over my shoulders like a sack of taters and ran over to unlock the front door. Teddy was giggling all the way. I sat him down on his feet once the door was unlocked and I gave him the grand tour of his new house. Once the tour was complete, I grabbed us both a soda then we went into the den to relax and talk. I sat down in my overstuffed recliner thinking Teddy would sit on the sofa or one of the other recliners, but he surprised me by climbing up into my lap and snuggling up against me. I wrapped my arms around him holding him tight. "Oh Teddy, I hope you are happy here, because I already love you. I want to adopt you to make you Teddy Anderson if you want me too." When I felt his tears of joy and him nod his head I held him tighter saying, "Welcome home Teddy, I promise no one will ever hurt you again. I love you."
