Chase McPhee % With a shrill whistle, Berk jams on the truck brakes upon barely exiting the backyard of Barberio's hardware. After a slight pause he exits the truck, leaving the door hanging open. Almost upon him, Bernardo adresses the question on Berk's face, "Got two new recruits for the landscaping business." Then, taking the two eighteen year olds under his wing, arms stretched out as he stands between Kirk and Jason, arms over their shoulders, "this here is Jason and Kirk." The scent, coupled with Bernardo's hand cupping his bicep, Kirk couldn't help but pick up on the faint aroma. But he was in second heaven, looking upon Berk. Glancing at the slight tummy, something making the khaki shirt stretch over Berk's midsection. His eyes scanning Kirk looked up, a mass of brown hair at the v-neck opening made him smile. On his chest, Berk's left shoulder, shifting his gaze so as not to make it obvious, he reads off the embroidered tag, "Barberio's Landscaping... Berk... nice touch!" Releasing the two, as if into Berk's department of the business, Bernardo picks on Jason this time for `sexual harrassment', two hands going to work on the tie. His head over his shoulder as hands make light work at unknotting the tie, "You better get these boys outfitted first." Then turning to Jason, knowing the stature of his place in society, he tears him down with, "Wouldn't want to get these boys all dirtied up now, would we?" Swallowing, it was revealed to Jason, by way of nose and visual perception, scent and sight filling him in with what Kirk mentally and physically saw in the character of the `man-bear'. He wondered if Kirk felt as he did, the pulses of his balls pumping fluid into his cock! Handing it to Jason, Bernardo shook him out of his reverie, "Your tie, Jason?" "Oh yeah. Thanks!" Jason replied energetically. Walking away, a smile on his face which none could see, thoughts in his head which none other than himself could picture, Bernardo smiled a toothy grin while a hand smoothed out a crease in his jeans, fingertips at his zipper area, well-knowing both had been checking him out since they left the interior of the store. "What size do you think you take?" Berk asked of the two. His eyes wandered as Kirk reached for his shirttails, both hands taking hold and peeling his shirt up over his head. Old news to Jason who has seen, touched and roamed Kirk's bod, palms grazing over the stripe from pubes to midchest, fingertips exploring the more red than brown fuzz around each nip, he nonchalantly responds, "Medium. Maybe a small." Then openly seeing Berk take in more of Kirk shirtless, "Kirk here could probably make do with a medium." Then to mock Berk's gaze openly, "But you may notice he's got wide shoulders, so could be he takes a large, if you've got one." Getting the sway of Jason's comments, Berk quickly turns his attention to opening up the three boxes of khaki shirts. "Why don't you try them on for size?" He adds, "I left the truck running." Left alone, Kirk opens with, "Did you see the way he was checking me out as soon as the shirt came off?" "Yeah, I noticed alright. So? What's this sudden interest in bears? You turning into some kiind of cub scout or something?" A grin turned into laughter. "I don't know. Happened the first time the other day when we stopped for gas." Still feeling up his khaki shirt before feeding his arms into it, Jason stood there recalling the scene from the gas station. It then came to him, "Joao Alvaraes? The mechanic on duty? No way." Cracking a smile, Kirk nodded his head `yes'. "I know Joao from high school. No way is he gay." Then in whimsical fashion, "So get your mind off him, boy!" At that moment, Berk arrives. "Aren't you two ready yet? We have a lot of work to do today." Kirk was almost buttoned up. Jason held the shirt by its collar, half of his mostly lightly haired front exposed to Berk's view. He quickly plunged his arms in, buttoning up. As the two made their exit of the small room off to the side, they followed Berk out to the truck. "You better pay attention boy," Kirk said as if warning, "you're buttoned up crooked!" "Me? It's you who are interested in `the bears'!" "Sure, Jase. Like I wasn't the only one checking Berk out too?" % While Barry popped into the hospital during his lunch `hour', he knocked before entering Steve's room. "Like you haven't seen me in the raw?" Steve said with a cheerful smile. Noticing the only occupant, his other half, Barry quips, "You look so different with your clothes on in bed!" He bent over to grab a kiss. Around Barry's neck Steve wove his arms. Bracing his hands on the bed, Barry says, "Easy or you'll have me in traction!" "Guess what a little birdie told me this morning?" Steve asks, all bright-eyed, teeth white like a photo flash. "What?" Barry asked. He already knew but didn't want to rob Steve of his good news. "I'm getting out of this prison, finally!" "Prison, Steve? I thought you liked it around here with all those hot slaveboys waiting on you hand and foot?" With a smile, Steve responds, "Yeah, that Jack Collier is one hot stud, huh?" Placing it back in Steve's court, Barry says, "How would I know a thing like that? Only you would know Steve!" Knowing he was losing this conversation, Steve switches to, "I missed being home in bed with my Beary." Not putting Steve's joking to rest yet, Barry says, "Well as soon as you get your things together we can split this joint. Shall I ring for Jack to help you?" "I think I can do it myself, thank you. But then again...." However as Steve sits on the side of the bed, places his bum foot on the floor, he winces in pain. In a serious manner Barry tells him, "You stay put while I get you some help." In two minutes Jack is entering the room, Barry following. "What did I tell you about that Steve?" Barry looks to Steve, knowing he was supposed to tell him something, but kept it from him. Steve sort of smiles back, between the jabs of pain, "Oops!" Barry smirks, as Jack informs Barry while reminding Steve, "Doctor's orders you're off the foot for at least six weeks." "Cool!" Steve lightens up. "Six weeks of being waited on." Barry would mention it to Steve later how he found it kind of erotic, watching Jack strip Steve of his bed-clothes, helping him into his street clothes, beating Steve to his pants zipper, helping him drop his tee shirt over his head, Jack smoothing it down over Steve's stomach. "How do I look?" Steve asks his partner. Barry wanted to say something about Steve's slight bulge in his pants, but instead, "Like a million bucks. Now get your ass in the wheelchair so we can get out of here!" Discharge was nothing more than Barry signing a piece of paper. By the time he made it to the exit, Jack Collier had wheeled Steve out to the car and keyed the door. Barry smiled, watching Jack facing Steve, putting his hands under armpits, helping Steve divert some of his weight to the hospital nurse. He said to himself as he crossed the parking lot, `Bet Steve's loving that!' Thanking Jack, they were on their way down the countrified stretch of van Dusen Blvd. Halfway down the road Steve says, "Isn't that Penny's jeep?" Sure enough, the pink jeep sat on the side of the road. Barry pulled over. Before he could exit, Jose and Mark were jogging over to his window. "Dad, you've got to take us to work," Mark exclaimed. Jose added, "We're five minutes late already. This isn't going to look good for us on our first day." "What'd he say?" Barry asks Steve, whose head is out the window paying attention to Tom. Mark answers for his dad, "Penny had a flat. Tom's got it almost changed. So? Can we get a ride?" Barry told them to hop in, but he felt funny leaving the two still stranded. "What's he doing?" Mark asked when his dad got out of the car. Steve replies, "Making sure the tire's changed properly I suspect. Comes with being a caring father, something you two will find out when you start building a family of your own." Steve smiled when Jose and Mark began chatting up the idea of themselves as dads someday. They completely lost track of time, time which they were most likely going to be docked for. When Barry got back in, turned the ignition on and headed out on the main road, he turned to Steve with a puzzling look on his face, hearing the conversation in the back seat revolving around having children. "Tell you about it later," Steve said. % "I dunno Ethan. Do you think I'm doing the right thing?" Both freshly out of bed, Ethan's furry chest rubs against Tom's back, engulfing him in his arms. "If the doctor thinks this Pacific Northwest Experience will help Kev, then I think we should go for it." Tom turns in a spire complaining, "But not being able to visit him for two whole weeks?" Ethan put it, "He can't work in the condition he's in, let alone take care of himself alone at home. I don't think we have much of an alternative here, Tom. I think we should go with it and just trust we are doing the right thing." "But we don't know anything about the place other than what Dr. Singh has told us." "I can have it checked out?" Ethan suggests. "In one day?" "I have some friends in high places who owe me one," Ethan replies. "Just how do you mean that Ethan?" "Not the way you think I mean it!" Ethan shot back with, rubbing his crotch. "Y'know I've never had anyone to help me make decisions before. In this case I'm glad I have someone around to help make it." "Why?" Ethan asks. "So you can sue my ass off if it doesn't work out for Kev?" "Oh, Ethan... I'd do much more than `sue' your ass off!" "Too bad I have to be at the store or I'd allow you to give me a system of your `corporal punishment'!" Though Ethan wasn't strained for too much time, not enough to kneel in the bed, his cock mingling with Tom's balls as he leaned over to do some affection lip-play. "There, will that hold you over?" Ethan asks. "Hardly," Tom replied. He laughed as Ethan got up, jacking a bead or two of cum from his sex pistol, licking it. "Are you sure that'll tide you over?" Tom asks. "Until lunch, sure!" % In the same suite, Richard Stahl stood as he viewed Alac Davalos and his attorney Eric Danziger, the two's bods molded together in perfect unison, Alac's arm over Eric's midsection, freely immersed in space. He didn't wish to, but had to wake Eric in time in order to get to the meeting with his almost-inlaws. "Um, Eric?" He touched Eric's shoulder with three fingers, trying to startle him out of his sleep. "Hmmmmm," is all Eric responded. Richard wasn't sure, but he thought maybe Eric thought it were Alac doing something to him to stimulate him... sexually? "Eric!" he tried again, this time with more forcefulness. Instead Alac awoke, looking straight up at Richard. He then got the message, slapping his hand lightly against Eric's furry stomach. "Eric! Wake up!" "Where's the fire?" Eric yelled out, making himself wide awake. "We have an hour to meet with Aldo's parents," Richard told him point blank. In the mean time, Alac trashed the sheets at the bottom of the bed and made his exit for the jon. Eric noticed Richard dividing his attention between himself and the Frenchman. "Hot French fry, huh?" Eric joked. Instead of admitting his fascination for Alac's rather thin frame, Richard again repeated the issue at hand. Hearing the water running in the jon, Eric says, "Sounds like my shower's ready!" Richard didn't say anything, but watched Richard hustle out of bed and prance towards the jon. He stopped at the door asking, "Care to join us?" "I'm dressed," Richard replied. The door closed, trapping the steam inside. Before sitting down in the easy chair, Richard grabbed a medical journal out of his briefcase. He thumbed through til he came to the article of Autism. He read one sentence, then let the paper drop to his lap. He looked upon the unmade bed, the one he found Alac and Richard cuddled up in. He frowned, thinking of his visit to Aldo's parents villa in Italy. He had hoped they would have some time together to experience once again the pleasure of sleeping together. However Aldo felt it better, in lieu of staying with a house full of parent, sisters and brothers, they take up residence in separate rooms. Too, everywhere they went it seemed one of his siblings accompanied them. They literally had no privacy and leastly not much kissing. The only romantic interlude is when he and Griffin were at the Atlanta airport, Griffin watching them kiss briefly. "We'll be ready in a second," Eric said, the two coming out of the jon, Alac still drying his arms, Eric toweling off his wet hair. Good thing they came out, since Richard began to get misty eyes. He lifted the medical journal up to disguise his sad feelings. Eric sweeps by grabbing the paper out of Richard's hand saying, "I hope you're not going to stay in your room every night reading this boring stuff!" "It's not boring," Richard replied. Alac grabbed the paper back from Eric, saying, "He's going through a tough time. You should not talk to him this way." He returned the journal to Richard, his lower region even with Richard's eyesight. Richard's stare canvassed Alac's bod, starting from bottom to top. He replied, "Thanks." "If there is anything else I can do for you, you let me know. Okay?" Alac said, implanting a thought in the doctor's mind. "Thanks," Richard said for the second time. It didn't go unnoticed, the short interlude of risque behavior between the two, Eric taking it in, but smiling at the innocent foreplay. "I don't know how long we'll be today Alac, if you want to skip off to one of the museums," Eric told him as he fed his feet into his briefs, bringing them up til they hugged his hips. "Good balance," Richard said of Alac standing up while putting his socks on. He also noticed the even balance of the two weights on either side of Alac's endowment. "Must be the ballet lessons," Eric joked. But the joke was on Eric as Alac broke forth in a performance which would envy any ballet guru. Both Eric and Richard noticed, when Alac did a pirouette, the centrifical force made his cock swing out straight in midair. Stopping, Eric says comically, "I guess that's why they have them stuffed into a jockstrap!" Alac gave it a different name, the proper French way of saying it, but it didn't change the meaning of the joke. Richard took in the whole dress-up, Eric coating his bod with a dress shirt, dress slacks, tie and then the matching jacket. Alac beat him by a longshot, stepping into a pair of lowrise CK's and pants. He quickly zipped up the package and then stabbed his arms into a casual dress shirt. He left it open while reporting back to the jon. In seconds they heard him brush, spit and gargle. As Eric prepared his briefcase, Richard watched Alac come out of the jon, buttoning up his shirt from bottom to top, leaving three buttonholes empty. He stuffed his shirt into his pants, circling his waist then affixed the belt buckle. "Ready!" Alac called out. Perhaps Richard's and Eric's thoughts were battling for supremacy, looking at Alac, the shirt open and flaunting the center region of Alac's lightly haired chest. % "We have a new member to our group this morning," Denis' favorite counselor, Mitch, announced to the group. "Let's make the rounds?" he instructed. Around the room, beginning with "Denis", sounded off their names, "Kyle." "Jason." "Travis." "Hayden." "Geoff." "TJ." "Noah." "Omer." "And our new member?" Mitch tried provoking. Silence prevailed til one bold member of the group ventured to say, "His name is Jared." "Thank you, Denis," Mitch said. The manner in which it was relayed to him, Denis had the feeling he shouldn't have volunteered the info. "Sorry." "No problem," Mitch remedied the situation. Then to rectify things without slighting Denis, "Maybe tomorrow Jared will feel like participating." The morning session entailed going around the room, each guy telling how they felt today, yesterday's accomplishments and the goals they would be working towards today. Denis volunteered, "I'm feeling cool today, no different than yesterday, but a lot different than when I first came here." He said it more for Jared's benefit than his own, a hint of things getting better since his encounter with the counselors, doctors and nature while at Pacific Northwest Experience. "Yesterday morning I had a setback. The pot I was working on kind of wobbled off the wheel. But I didn't panic. After Miles showed me where I went wrong, I tried throwing a second pot and it came out rather nice. Today I hope to have it fired in the kiln and then work on some drawings I started, making somes sketches of the metal sculpture Miles helped me think about doing." Upbeat, Mitch said, "Very constructive day it looks like Denis." Around the circle, Mitch listened to each of the eighteen, nineteen and twenty year old's morning reviews, giving and receiving feedback. When he got to Jared, as he expected, the teen sat there, elbows on his thighs, head bowed and not paying attention. Even so, he encouraged, "And what plans do you have today Jared?" All attention shifted to Jared whom kept up the quiet behavior. The guys in the group were used to some newcomers being shy or wanting to keep to themselves. Mitch gave him a quick half minute to respond, then adjourned the group. "Jared?" Mitch asked as he put his hand on the teen's shoulder, "this morning's session is over." Jared didn't flinch a muscle. Denis stayed around to tidy up, collect the sheets of paper from each chair, the one used for group members to write down what they reviewed today verbally. "Have your paper, Jared?" Denis asked. Sticking one hand out, Jared handed Denis the paper, blank. Looking to Mitch he shrugged his shoulders as much as to say, `oh well'. Even though it was a tiny step towards response. Mitch gave it a chance to say, "Why don't you follow Denis over to the art barn, Jared?" Trying to help Denis says, "Yeah. Miles is a cool guy. He shows us how to do a lot of neat stuff." But it didn't work, Jared lingering as Denis left before he was cited for being late to the two hour art session. Mitch let him be, going to his desk and working on some imaginary work. A half hour later Jared still sat there. He decided it was time to force the issue, so said, "I'm going to have to lock up now Jared." He got no response, so Mitch had to shift to something more original. "I have to lock the doors Jared, which means you're going to have to leave." Without a word, Jared got up and walked out the door he came in. Descending the slate stairway, he sat on the same spot he started out from an hour prior. As with in session, he rolled his world up in a little ball. For awhile he had the same blanket around his shoulders Denis had given him earlier, but as the sun climbed into the sky, by 10:30, it began to get hot out. He let it slip from his shoulders to the slate. "Hey! What's up Jared?" It was Denis' voice. With no words from Jared, he said, "I took some time out. Would you believe the second pot I made is no good either?" Before sitting, he again looked at Jared's bare back. "Hey, mind me asking how you got those lines across your back?" "My ole man," Denis heard Jared utter in an almost a non-existant tone. It wasn't foreign to Denis. He's heard his high school buds mention the occasional use of corporal punishment. Then again sometimes it was a `dare', high school guys fooling around, seeing which guy could take the heaviest swing of a belt on their back. But with the amount of marks on Jared's back he knew it wasn't any laughing matter. "I guess it must've hurt, huh?" "Yup," is all Denis got out of him. "Well I've got to get back to the art barn before Miles misses me. Want to come?" Back to nonspeaking, Denis excused himself. A minute up the path he swore he was being followed! If Denis had turned west down the path, instead of east towards the art barn he would have seen Tom Letterli pull up in front of the main building complex. Ethan moved swiftly, running around to the other side of the car. Tom opened the door while Ethan helped Kev out. At twenty-one Kev acted much like Jared. Depression and anxiety had no boundaries where age was concerned. The symptoms could be the same, as it looked for both of the boys. In the main office, while Ron signaled Dr. Singh, Kev sat down and enclosed himself in his own little world. While Tom waited for Ron's confirmation, Ethan tried talking some sense with Kev. Unlike Jared, Kev spoke his mind, "I want to go home." "You can't stay at home by yourself, Kev," Ethan told him, a hand to Kev's arm for comfort and care. Picking his head up, tears in his eyes, Kev states, "I need to get back to my artwork... I need to get back to college..." But through all his incentive to do these things, in reality Kev wasn't ready to get back to his normal life, before the unfortunate incident of his rape and beating. Working against his will to return to normal life, Kev broke down and cried. Tom stood there watching Ethan explain things as in a paternal manner. He thought, `How much luckier can a guy get?' % Copyright 2008 T. Chase McPhee This story may not be sold, nor made part of any collection, without prior consent from the author.
