Chapter 1 Ian had just walked a half a mile through the worst downpour in a decade. He walked into the classroom fifteen minutes late, and got stuck sitting in the last available seat next to a trivial looking kid. He was in no mood to be in a new school, nor looking to make new friends. "Hey man, I'm Eric!" Not a great start to the first day of freshman year, Ian thought to himself. "Hey, I'm Ian." He replied sheepishly. Eric over enthusiastically answered back, "I haven't seen you around here before." Ian was not in the mood for small talk. His American Eagle jeans were soaked all the way through to his boxer briefs. His brand new Etnies Piston shoes were covered in a watered down muck, making it appear as if he had walked through a puddle of chocolate milk on his way to school. He felt so out of place in his new surroundings. He was a recent transplant to Snyder Texas, a rural farming town on the edge of nowhere which most people had all but forgotten about. Ian was 14 and had grown up in the city. He was accustom to wearing brand named clothes, and taking pride in his appearance. From what he had seen of Snyder, he was not impressed. Most of his classmates wore shabby clothes that he figured were purchased from the closest Walmart. This drab look was very different from his preppy boy appearance and it made him stick out like a sore thumb. "I am new here." Ian replied. Before Eric had the opportunity to blurt another word, the Mrs. Jones walked in to the classroom and announced, "Any freshman, please gather your belongings and meet Mr. Peterson in the hallway." She went on to explain how science class was more of an elective for incoming freshman. Seven smaller framed, discombobulated boys stood and wondered into the hallway next to a row of freshly painted bright red lockers. Mr. Peterson the school principal approached them, "You boys are either going to be very happy, or very disappointed!" He went on to explain how the space in science class was needed for a larger then expected junior class. Ian wondered to himself how large that class could really be in this tiny high school. "You boys have two options. Mr. Jenson, the art teacher has volunteered to accept you into his class, or you can spend first period with Mrs. Thompson the librarian, doing a study hall meeting in the library." Ian thought to himself, I like art, but wasting his first period in study hall with no teacher might mean he could arrive late everyday and giving him the chance to sleep in. Before he could speak up all six of the other boys raised their hands and shouted out "Study hall!" Mr. Peterson counted the first 5 boys and sent them to the library, leaving only Ian and Eric as the unintentional volunteers for Mr. Jenson's art class. Mr. Peterson motioned to Ian and Eric, "You two follow me." Art classes were conducted in a portable building segregated from the main building on the far side of campus. Ian and Eric both tossed their backpacks onto one shoulder, and marched single file behind Mr. Peterson resembling pack soldiers. Ian was not as happy when he realized they were headed back out into the monsoon. "Do you like art?" Eric asked from behind. "Kinda, I took a drawing classes at my summer camp back home." Referring to the city. Eric noticed right away how Ian seemed a little distant towards him. Trying to break the ice Eric sarcastically stated, "I can draw the best stick figures you have ever seen." expecting a laugh from Ian. Continuing his somber attitude Ian brushed off Eric's comments, and concentrated on stepping around the water puddles that had formed on the dirt path that lead to the art building. "I have an extra Red Bull if you want it when we get to the class." Eric offered. Ian was a big fan of energy drinks, and Red Bull was one his favorites. "I could really use one this morning!" He said as he shook the water droplets off his black Abercrombie hoodie. Shock set in when they walked into the art building to find all upperclassmen. They found out that both their first and second periods were to be consumed with nothing other then cameras, and lame quotes. "Hello boys, I am glad you volunteered for the yearbook team. I have wanted a freshman perspective for a couple years now, but this is the first time we are going to be graced with freshmen perspective." Mr. Jenson's excitement left him nearly shrieking as his announced the arrival of the boys. Ian looked over at Eric, and Eric looked back, simultaneously both whispered to each other, "I am not so sure about this." Ian and Eric sat next to each other at a big table lined with previous years books. They did their best to ignore the glares from the upperclassmen, but both of them were visually uncomfortable. Mr. Jenson went on to explain how their schedules would be altered to accommodate their joining the team. He passed out a syllabus and took the rest of the morning to explain incidentals of the class. As he started to dry off, Ian felt he could to warm up to Eric. Eric inquired "Have you lived here long?" "I just moved here from Denver two days ago." Ian began to share that he was not in favor of moving to a new state. Ian enjoyed all aspects that surrounded his prior urban environment. "I would stop at Starbucks on my way to school every morning." He confided in Eric that he was really missing his early morning mocha frappuccino among other things. Eric looked perplexed, "I have lived here all my life. Umm, what is a frappuccino?" "Your kidding right? Starbucks! You know, frozen coffee." Embarrassed, Eric turned red and looked down at the book he was fumbling through. "Oh yeah, duh, I had Starbucks once when I went to visit my grandparents in Dallas. I didn't like that stuff at all though man, and why would you pay five dollars for a coffee when you could buy a whole container and make coffee for a month." "I don't get you small town country guys." Ian said looking like he had just been hit in the stomach. "Thanks for the Red Bull." "Sure man, they were on sale at the gas station over the weekend because no one was buying them." The intercom interrupted about fifteen minutes prior the end of the class. "Mr. Jenson?" "Yes Mrs. Williams?" "Could you please send Eric Murphy and Ian Miller to the office. I have their adjusted class schedules ready for them." Mr. Jenson looked over at the two boys, who stared back at him like two deer caught in headlights. "They are on their way." "Thank you, IÉ" The intercom cut off before Mrs. Williams could finish her sentence. Now you two make sure that you do not let them talk you into going to another class. I really look forward to working with you two the rest of the year." "Thanks Mr. Jenson." Eric said as he stood up and propelled his empty Red Bull can into the trash. They both slung their backpacks on, and walked back out into the rain. "Ian, do you think you are going to stay in the yearbook class?" "I don't know, what do you think about it?" "It seems like an easy A, and Mr. Jenson seems pretty cool." Eric suggested. "Yeah, I guess it will be an easy class to start the morning off with. I just don't know what other classes I am going to have now." They walked into the office and greeted Mrs. Williams, the office secretary. "Here are your new schedules, we had to change around most of your classes." Mrs. Williams was no nonsense, and all business. She distributed Ian and Eric their new schedules and rushed them out of the office into the lobby. "You need to wait here for the bell to ring before you go down the hall." She said pointing to a large couch in the lobby. "I do not need mischief from any of you freshmen today." As she whirled the door closed behind her, the glass panes shook so loud it echoed across the corridor. "Hey Eric, what is your schedule like?" "I have algebra next period, then English after that." "Me too, we have the same teachers too." Ian was comparing the schedules side by side. "Looks like we have lunch after that, then we don't have any other classes together until our last period in PE." Eric was excited that he was going to share four classes with his new friend. The next two class periods passed fairly painlessly. Ian and Eric sat near each other for Math and English. Eric was happy to introduce Ian to some of his friends. Ian was still in a bad mood but he was secretly happy to have made a friend in Eric. Over the two periods Ian began to look past the generic clothing Eric was wearing and notice how he had a great slender body. Eric was also 14 and only 2 weeks younger than Ian. Eric measured slightly shorter than Ian's 5'6" stature. The lunch bell rang and Ian announced, "Good I am so hungry!" After lunch Ian and Eric split up for the next two classes. Ian found his way around the campus easily because the main building was a lot smaller then his previous school. He made little contact with any other classmates besides the occasional "thank you," for a compliment or a "screw you" to criticism about his clothing style. His mind kept drifting to Eric. Final period came quickly and Ian was happy to meet back up with Eric. He was excited to realize that Eric was even better looking than he remembered. Their PE class only consisted of 12 students. Mr. Jackson explained that since it was such a small class they would have it pretty easy. He had the class sit on the bleachers and went over his expectations and rules for the class. Once his speech was complete, he left the students to themselves and opened the storage closet where they were allowed to retrieve basketballs to play with for the remainder of the period. "I have to use the restroom, can we just go into the locker-room?" Ian asked Eric. "I think so, I have never been into the high school locker-room before so I don't really know." Coach was not in sight so they decided to explore for themselves. The shallow hallway into the locker-room consisted of two different doorways. Eric assumed this was for privacy so anyone standing outside would not be able to easily peer in. Once inside the locker-room the main area was quite large, but separated into two quadrants by a short wall in the middle lined with lockers. Coach had told them they needed a lock before the next class and were to be assigned lockers. Beyond the lockers another wall separated the larger room with a passage that had sinks on both sides. Beyond that was a hallway with the left side leading into a large communal shower area and the right side leading to urinals and toilets. Ian was the first to walk up to one of the urinals. "Man, I have been holding it since last period." He unbuttoned his pants and pulled his hoodie and t-shirt up to about his mid stomach, he stood close to the urinal but far enough back that Eric could just see the tip of Ian's dick as he started to pee. Eric found himself standing to the side of Ian, staring at the boy standing in front of him. He was sure Ian had noticed the stare, so he quickly moved to the urinal and undid his pants. "I am glad my underwear finally dried out, my nuts were getting tried of being clammy and plastered up against my leg." Ian sort of giggled as he talked about his balls. Eric could feel himself turning red. He had never been around someone that talked so candidly about their body parts. As they each drained their bladders, both of them made attempts to peek at each other without either of them making it obvious. End of Chapter 1 This is my first attempt at writing a fictional story. That being said I am not really sure where the story is going to go from this point. I am hoping to add more chapters and I have already started on Chapter 2. I appreciate any feedback, but I would hope that it was at least constructive if it is going to be critical. Gian_Giacomo_Caprotti@yahoo.com
