David smiled and, in a loud voice, announced, "In the presence of your family and friends. It gives me great pleasure to declare you both joined to one another. Congratulations." The room erupted as everyone leapt up and began clapping and cheering. As Mr Davis played, the overture to Handles, Music for the Royal Fireworks. ********************** Operation Pied Piper – Part 124a – The Big Day Davy takes up the story My head was spinning. We were both being hugged, kissed and having our hands shaken, it was really quite overwhelming. Milner was ever present clicking away taking photographs, I couldn't wait to see some of those. I was also desperate to get Forts alone so I could speak to him. 'The Duke of Pittodrie', what was that all about? For now, it would have to wait. With everyone speaking, I couldn't get a word in edge wise. Denis slammed his staff into the ground three times, and the babble of voices changed to a soft murmur. "Your Imperial Highnesses, My Lords, Ladies, and Gentlemen. If you would make your way outside, there are drinks and light refreshments awaiting you." Before we could move, McPhee came up with Harding and grabbed my arm, "Well, it has finally happened. I am so pleased for you both. "Thank you, McPhee. I never thought it would happen either." "Congratulations, Davy." Harding leaned in and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I hugged him back, returning it. "Thank you." "Davy," It was Milner, "I would like to take some pictures of you and Forts once the guests have all left for the reception. Is that okay?" "Certainly. Do you want us to get everyone outside? You can use the Castle as a backdrop." Milner smiled, "You read my mind." * As Denis ushered everyone outside, I saw my chance to speak to Forts. "Darling, Err, why was I announced as the Duke of Pittodrie?" Forts flashed me a smile, "Were you? I didn't hear that. I was just looking at you." He leant in and kissed me again. "Come on, let's join everyone outside." "But Forts." He took my hand and, still smiling, started to lead me out of the Great Hall towards the staircase. "Won't Athol's cousin be upset? He owns Pittodrie, doesn't he?" "No, he sold it." "Who to?" "Davy, don't worry about it, come on, I am parched, let's get a drink." "So, it's not Athol's cousin who is doing the reception for us?" My question went unanswered as we emerged out into the sunshine. Gregor and Landers had arranged for long trestle tables to be set up out in the Courtyard. They were piled with plates of dainty sandwiches and ice buckets laden with bottles of Champagne. Two Liveried footmen stood behind the tables assisting the guests. I took Forts arm, "Who are they?" "Err, they look like caterers." Forts flashed me a smile. "Who is doing the catering?" I was beginning to think Forts was being evasive. Dima was nearby, and hearing my questions, he grabbed two glasses of Champagne and brought them over to us. "You two don't have drinks. Here you go." "Oh, thank you Dima." Forts turned away. "Forts!" "Davy, shush. Don't worry about it, the new owners said we could have the reception there; well, one of them did." He turned away, smiling at Dima. I didn't get a chance to say anything else as Mum and Dad came over with little Andrew. Forts broke into a beaming smile, sweeping Andrew up into his arms and resting him on his hip. "And here is the star of the show." He put his head into the crook of Andrew's neck and made a 'Brrrrr' noise, which had the little fella squirming and giggling. Andrew wrapped his arms round Fort's neck and kissed him. "Hey you! Watch out, I will get jealous." Forts winked at me, "Oh, if he was only twenty years older." Mum was chuckling, "You're a natural, Drageon. Such a pity you won't be able to have any of your own." That reminded me I hadn't said anything to Mum yet. Dad coughed, smiling, "Well, you can have him to stay as often as you want." Which had us all laughing. Forts did his 'Brrrr' thing again. Andrews squirming and giggling, causing us all to smile. "It would be great. He is welcome here anytime." Forts kissed Andrew again, "Wouldn't you... Bbbbrrrr" The click of the camera announced the appearance of Milner once more. "Oh, that's a beautiful shot. Davy, you get alongside Forts, let me get one of the three of you." With yet more pictures taken, I went to try to speak to Forts again, my efforts thwarted once more. "Davy." "Ahh, Hugh... Mr Davies. Thank you. That was amazing... Especially," I felt myself welling up. "Well, you know." He hugged me, "It was my pleasure. I am so pleased for you both." * With what seemed like endless photographs taken of our guests and ourselves in groups arranged by Robert, and with the guests herded around military style by Dima, Denis finally asked everyone to get ready to make their way to Pittodrie House. The two Rolls Royces followed by the school bus came round the corner from the rear courtyard and everyone started to go to their assigned vehicles. I glanced at Forts, watching as Mum, Dad, Athol, Callum, and little Andrew boarded one Rolls and Gethin, Callum, McPhee, and Harding got in the other. That surprised me. "Are we going on the bus, then?" Forts gave me a serious nod. "Yes, come on." He walked a few feet, then stopped and burst out laughing. "Hang on, first Milner wants to take some pictures of just you and me. Come on, over to the paddock, there are a couple more guests who want to have their pictures taken with us by the old oak tree." "But the bus?... It is about to leave." Forts shook his head, "Don't worry. Come on. It can come back for us." As we walked over to the tree, I watched as the vehicles all left horns blazing and everyone waving at us, shouting that they would see us soon. * By the tree were Pegasus and Daphne, both had been beautifully groomed. Pegasus stamped his front hoof as we approached, whinnying. Daphne was much more demure and just stood alongside him. It reminded me of Forts and me. "Hello boy, hello Daphne." Forts clapped and stroked them both in turn, the ever-present Milner hovering and snapping photographs. "Come on, Davy, let's get them both between us." With these photos now taken, Forts gave them both a final clap and took my hand. "Can we go to our special place and have a last photograph there? I knew what he meant and nodded. Slowly, we walked to Daphne's memorial. This time Forts kept hold of my hand as he went through his little ritual, I mirrored his actions; I thought it was only right to do so. Milner had us both pose on either side of the statue. Our hands, out held next to the bronze doves as if we were giving them flight. I even heard myself muttering, "Thank you, Daphne. For everything." Without her, neither of us would have been standing here. Forts smiled and kissed me, "Thank you. Come on, we had better join everyone at the reception." With a final glance back, we walked back to the front of the Castle. * "Forts, no!" I was sure my mouth fell open. Pulled up in front of the Castle were two matching 'Landau Carriages' with their tops down. Eight beautiful paired white horses stood ready to pull them with liveried coachman, two at the front and two standing at the rear. It was as beautiful as it was unbelievable. Patiently waiting in the rear one was Theodora, with the dowager Grand Duchess, Theodora's mother and the Princess Maloshia. I stood, overwhelmed. "You arranged this too?" Forts kissed me again. I couldn't stop myself, I just dissolved into tears. Forts wrapped his arms round me. "Come on, you big softy." He kissed the side of my head and cheek. We walked towards the front Landau, Dima appeared and opened the door and folded out the steps. Forts helped me up in to the carriage, both of us sitting facing the horses. Dima folded up the stairs and closed the door before hopping up alongside the coachmen. I was a mess, tears streaming down my cheeks. Forts hugging me, "Oh, Davy, I thought you would like it?" I nodded, wiping my eyes, "I do. Sorry, I am just being silly. All this is so lovely. I can't believe you did it all for me." Forts kissed me again and took hold of my hand. Dima looked back, "Ready?" Forts smiled, "Yes we are." And we were off towards the reception. * It was beautiful; the sun shone down on the start of our new life as a couple. I snuggled up to Forts, enjoying the closeness and peace and quiet. All too soon, we were approaching the turn into the driveway of Pittodrie House. The coachman slowed the horses and gently turned us on to the long drive. Forts squeezed my hand, "Are you okay now?" I nodded. The carriage drive was lined with shading trees and surrounded by beautiful parkland. I squeezed Fort's hand, "This is so beautiful, thank you." He smiled and winked. The house came into view through the trees. A flag fluttered from the flagpole, which I recognised. "Forts, that's your Imperial Standard." "Our Imperial Standard." He smiled as he corrected me. I couldn't believe it, "The owners let you fly that as well? That was really kind of them." Forts chuckled, "Well, they are both very nice." "Have I met them?" "Yes." The coachman pulled up the carriage by the front door with me still trying to ask who they were. Forts just laughed, "You will find out soon." Both of us got out of the carriage with Dima's assistance. While we waited for Theodora's party to join us, I was surprised to see all our guests coming out the front door and taking up positions lining the stairs. I glanced at Forts, "What's happening now?" He chuckled, flashed me a Forts smile and swept me off my feet, cradling me in his arms. "Forts, what are you doing?" A tear rolled down his cheek, "Carrying my partner into our new home." He kissed me on the lips. "OUR NEW HOME?... You mean you own it?" "No Davy, we own it. It's our new home, my wedding present for you." I couldn't speak, I just stared at him disbelievingly. Everyone began clapping and cheering again. Forts kissed me once more, "Let me carry you inside." Now, if you thought I was overwhelmed before, you should all see me now as the man I loved carried me up the stairs into the foyer of our new home, to the excited cheers and cries of congratulations. * Once inside, Denis led us in to a small side room. Closing the door behind us to give us a quiet moment together, while he went off to get everyone seated in the hall. Forts let me down, I threw my arms round him and kissed him. "Thank you, thank you." He kissed me, holding me tightly, "Are you sure you like it? I hope you do." Overcome again, I could only just hug and kiss him. When Denis returned, Forts and I were standing looking out at the grounds through the window, over towards the majestic Grampian Hills. "Are you both ready for your big entrance?" Denis was smiling broadly. Forts turned to me, "Well, are you, Your Grace?" I nodded, smiling, "Yes I am, and I couldn't be happier." Denis turned to the door and opened it. He led us down the corridor to a set of imposing doors. They swung open as we approached. How the signal was given I had no idea, but as the doors swung open, I could see everyone stand. From high above us, Trumpeters in a hidden gallery blasted out a Royal fanfare. As they finished, the military band struck up the 'March of the Imperial Regiment of the Life Guards Sankt-Peterburgsky.' With me standing by his side, Forts took a deep breath and then firmly took my hand, he gave me a final smile, "Ready?" I nodded, mouthing, "I love you." He flashed me a Forts smile and said, "I love you too." And we entered the Hall. We made our way through the round tables of guests to a long top table. Forts chuckled as we got to our seats, "Do you like them? I had Denis get them painted gold." I didn't know what to say; I had never sat in such an impressive chair. Two liveried footmen pulled back the chairs as we approached to sit. I recognised one of them from the Manor. "Oh, hello." I glanced at Forts, he smiled and winked. The footman was beaming, obviously pleased I recognised him. He whispered, "Congratulations, Your Grace." "Thank you." I was forgetting myself, I was about to sit when Forts touched my arm, whispering, "One minute." Forts stood stiffly to attention. As the band began the opening bars of a tune, I now knew well. This was my moment, and I had nearly fluffed it. Theodora and Dima joined in singing with me. We were quickly joined by the other Russians, as we all sang, 'God Save the Tsar,' in Russian. As it came to an end, I glanced at Forts, he had tears streaming down his face, "Thank you Davy, thank you." 'God Save the Tsar' was immediately followed by 'God Save the King', then we all sat and the meal began. Theodora gave me a thumbs up and mouthed, "Well done." I glanced round the room, Forts parents' portraits from the Manor hung at one end of the Hall alongside a portrait of Tsar Nicolas II. He leant into me, "Our portraits will hang there." He pointed to the wall opposite us. "Unless you want to put them somewhere else. The decoration is not totally finished yet, sorry." "Forts stop it. This is all too amazing. Thank you." * After the meal came the speeches. First Athol, then Gethin, and finally Dima and McPhee did a bit of a double act. They had the room in stitches and both Forts and me blushing, every colour of pink. Denis brought everyone to silence and announced that the party would resume at seven o'clock. Until then, everyone was welcome to retire and refresh or explore the house and grounds. Forts gripped my hand, "We are retiring." He winked, "Plus I want to show you our rooms." * "Close your eyes." Forts was like an excited child. I heard the door open, and Forts led me into the room. "Okay, you can open them now." I was standing looking towards three huge windows with a view out to the south of the house over beautifully manicured lawns and the mountains in the distance. The room was beautifully panelled in dark oak, a plush deep red carpet occupied the floor space where the couches sat. The rest of the floor was dark oak floor boards. Forts couldn't keep himself under control, "Well? ... This is our private sitting room. There are other reception rooms downstairs. This one is just for us." The tears began again. "It's all just beautiful." He threw his arms round me and kissed me, his tears now joining mine. "Come and see our bedroom." He took my hand and half-dragged me through a large oak door into a short corridor. "It has two bedrooms. One for us and the other I thought could be the nursery. This is our room." He opened the first door. This room too had to large windows facing South over the gardens. A large canopied double bed sat against the opposite wall. "Sorry, it's one of the beds from the Manor. I couldn't get any made in time... Through that door are our dressing rooms and wardrobes and our private bathroom." I walked around in a daze. Now that he had said it, I recognised the bed. I walked over and touched it. Forts joined me, "I remember you said you always had a good night's sleep in this bed." He grinned, "And amazing sex." He took me in his arms and kissed me. I winked, "Oh I don't remember saying that, the sex bit..." Forts looked hurt. I winked again, "Maybe we had better check that out?" Forts began toeing off his shoes and undoing his jacket buttons. Naked in seconds and with his clothes in an untidy pile on the floor, he jumped on to the bed. His cock was rock hard, he gripped the base of his shaft, and waggled it at me, "Well I am ready." I gave him another wink and slowly and seductively began a striptease. Forts stroked his shaft, his eyes not leaving me. His cockhead began to glisten as I stood in just my underwear, my own erection pushing out of the button fly. I turned away and bent over. Slowly, I peeled my pants down over my wiggling butt, as I did. Forts let out a groan, "Come on." I clambered up onto the bed. I never had worked out a sexy way of getting onto it. I crawled over into Fort's arms and snuggled alongside him. His wet, throbbing cock slid over my stomach as he kissed me. "Are you happy?" "I couldn't be happier." Forts eased himself over my leg and then between them. Instinctively, I wrapped legs round his waist. He smiled down at me. "I love you." "I love you too." He ground his hard cockhead against my own throbbing shaft, pushing from my balls up to my own dribbling bellend. I pushed my lips to his as my brain exploded in pleasure. I felt so safe in his arms, so at peace, it was unbelievable. He broke our kiss, his black fringe flopping down over his forehead, his smile beaming from his face. "Ready?" he whispered. I nodded, "Oh hang on, I will need some lube." Forts opened the bedside cabinet draw and produce a small tube of KY. I giggled as he handed it to me, making sure I was ready for him. "My Prince thinks of everything." He winked as he gripped his shaft and slipped it under my balls, easing across my taint to my hole. He tilted my hips with his other hand, rolling them, exposing my hole fully to his cockhead. He shuffled into place and kissed me again, then began to ease his cock into me. I heard myself moan as his cockhead slipped into me. He paused until I gave my legs round his waist a little twitch; he knew I was ready for more. He eased forward sensually, lovingly, taking his time, enjoying every moment our bodies were joined together; just like I was. I felt his cock throb deep inside me; I opened my eyes, and he was smiling down at me. He chuckled, "You really can feel that, then?" I nodded. "How about this?" Watching me intently, he gyrated his hips, his cock circled deep inside me, the thick shaft massaging over my prostate. I groaned out loud and my cock belched out yet more precum between us. He grinned, "I don't need to ask about that." He pushed his lips to mine. His tongue snaked in to my mouth as he began to thrust with more urgency, his heavy balls slapping against my taint. Our synchronised bodies reached their climaxes at the same time. Forts flopped on to me, kissing me again before he rolled off to my side, his rapidly deflating cock dragging a wet sticky trail across my leg. He stroked my face and leant forward, and kissed me yet again. "I love you Davy. Never forget that." And I loved him more than anything else in the world. * The evening reception was a lot less formal than the meal earlier. The tables had been cleared away with the exception of the top table, which now held a buffet. Chairs lined the walls and footmen were circulating with trays of drinks. Denis still announced us as we entered. Once again, we were met with smiling faces, applause, and cheers. I was amazed to see a small chamber orchestra playing in the corner as we entered. Later, they would be playing music for dancing. As the first note of Aram Khachaturian's 'Masquerade waltz' filled the room, Forts held out his hand and invited me to dance. We waltzed round the now cleared Hall, reliving that special moment at the Grand Ball at the Manor a lifetime ago. Catching sight of ourselves in the mirrors on the walls, we laughed at each other before we were joined by many other couples dancing. * I was chatting with McPhee when I noticed Forts dancing with Theodora. I felt my stomach flip. McPhee followed my eyes. I felt his hand touch my arm. "Put that green-eyed monster to bed, Davy. He is all yours now. He worships you, look at all he has arranged to make it special. He is only dancing with his cousin." I felt bad, McPhee was correct. I leant in and kissed his cheek, "Thank you, Chris." It was then I remembered I had promised Theodora a dance. I waited until Fort escorted her back to her chair and went over. I was buoyed by the warmth of her greeting. "Davy, my love. Now officially, cousin Davy." "Theodora." I kissed her cheek. "Are you ready for that dance you promised me?" She rose slowly from her seat, "It would be my absolute pleasure." We laughed and giggled as we waltzed. I noticed Forts watching us. He was next to McPhee, chatting. As we made eye contact, he smiled and nodded, and then went back to his conversation. As the waltz came to an end, I walked Theodora back to her seat. I patted her baby bump and leant down to her tummy, and whispered, "Thank you for the dance, Draco, son." She pulled me to her and kissed my cheek. "Oh, Davy, I love you." I was engulfed by a warm feeling. It was truly wondrous. Theodora and I were now officially the best of friends. Now beaming, I had a quick glance round. Mum was standing next to Dad, she caught my eye and smiled at me. I would ask her for the next dance. As the orchestra started the next waltz, Percy and Nathan took to the floor and danced past me; someone else had been practising. Just feet from Mum, Dad stepped forward, and he took my hand. "Could I have this dance with my son?" Forts must have seen the shock on my face. I saw him out of the corner of my eye come hurrying over. I think he thought there was a problem. Let's face it, Dad has been pretty outspoken before. Fort's frown vanished, and he began to smile as he realised I was actually being asked to dance by Dad. God, today was just one surprise after another. I couldn't even answer Dad. I just hugged him, nodding. As he put his arm round me and we made our way on to the dance floor, there were gasps and then clapping. We both looked round to see Forts was clapping alongside Mum. Dad stopped and gave a deep bow, then turned back to me, "Shall I lead?" I nodded. I Watched over Dad's shoulder as Forts held out his hand to Mum and led her onto the dance floor, too. We passed each other several times. Mum looked so happy. I don't think she could quite believe it either; Dad and me waltzing. Then another 'ah moment' as Dima and Theodora waltzed past, then Gethin and the dowager Grand Duchess, followed by Callum and the Princess Maloshia. Another cheer went up as McPhee and Harding took to the floor. As Forts and I passed, he was beaming, "Everyone seems to be dancing." "Not the Americans." He grinned. "Don't worry, I have something planned for them. The orchestra needs a break, anyway." I couldn't even imagine what he had planned now. With polite applause, the orchestra rose, bowed and withdrew. McPhee was now chatting to Dexy, Lance and Greg, he had a cheeky look on his face and was obviously distracting them. He did a great job. I was so busy watching I missed the brass section of the Military Band, now all in suits, come back into the room followed by a wheeled Grand Piano. As a drum began to beat out a steady beat, the brass band struck up, 'Sing, sing, sing,' by Benny Goodman. To a great shriek, the three American service men hit the dance floor and gave us all a very impressive 'Jitter bug.' A hand grabbed my arm, it was Gregor, "Come on you. Let's show these Yanks how it's done." We were on the dance floor before I realised what was happening, adding to the mayhem. Soon the dance floor was hopping, as the band moved seamlessly into numerous Glenn Miller tunes. Forts was ecstatic as he grabbed me, "That band is having great fun. Torcall told me they love playing this sort of music as well as the stuffy stuff." It certainly sounded like it. I saw Dad go over to the band and speak to the conductor. He nodded and smiled, Dad walked over to Mum and took her arm. I had no idea what was going to happen. It looked like they were about to leave. How wrong was I? Without a pause for breath, the band struck up, 'The Lambeth Walk.' Dad waved for me to join them, Athol and Archie and most of the Londoners packed the dance floor in twos marching up and down, 'Doing the Lambeth walk.' Then they launched straight in to 'Hang out the Washing on the Siegfried Line' and then 'Roll out the Barrel'. We were giving the Yanks and their 'Jitterbug', a run for their money. Alas, the band needed a breather, too. It was then that Hugh sat down by the piano. He called me over and handed me some sheet music. "Do you remember it?" How could I forget? I nodded, he signalled to Denis who came and stood next to us. He called for everyone's attention. "Your Imperial Highnesses, Lords, Ladies and Gentlemen... Forts, can you come up here? There is someone who wants to sing to you. Friends, I give you his Grace, the Duke of Pittodrie; our very own Davy." Denis gave me a hug and moved to the side as Forts came and stood beside the piano. The room joined me singing before I was halfway through. Forts had tears rolling down his cheeks. As the final notes played, the clock struck midnight. Forts took my hand and led me to stand in front of everyone. "Dear family and friends. I don't know about you, but I am worn out. So on behalf of my partner and I, I am going to wish you all goodnight, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making this a day we will never forget." Forts turned and kissed me. "Come on, that great big bed needs another test!" ********************** Folks, I really hope you're enjoying the story.
