"Wipe your eyes... You disgust me!" ********************** Operation Pied Piper – Part 137c – Davy takes up the story What a week that had been. I snuggled up to Forts. It was Christmas Eve. He smiled and kissed me. You are all probably wondering. I had decided not to speak to him about Will. Poor Forts had more than enough on his plate. I hoped I wouldn't be proved wrong. So far Will had been acting impeccably, if a bit withdrawn. Forts stretched out. "God, I am so tired and my feet are aching." He flipped open the covers and stretched out his left leg and the toes on his foot. I grinned, "It was all the dancing you were doing at the staff party." He nodded. I shuffled down the bed and took hold of his foot. "Here, let me give them a quick massage." I had always thought Forts had nice feet, maybe a bit hairy, but perfectly formed. I worked my fingers across the sole, concentrating on his instep, massaging all the way to the tips of his toes. He groaned appreciatively, "Oh, that feels so good..." I smiled, accepting his praise, then took hold of his big toe, "And this little piggy went to market, and this little piggy stayed at home..." He squirmed as I hung onto this foot playing with each toe, "Davy, stop, stop! You know I am ticklish..." He shrieked. "Enough, that's enough." He struggled to pull his foot away from me." I let it go, and he quickly shoved his foot back under the covers. "Well, that's a shame, as I was just about to work my way up your leg." He grinned and flicked back the covers, exposing both his legs. He gripped the hips of his nightshirt and lifted his hips and slowly began to ease it up above his knees, while humming a well-known Burlesque tune. I ran my hand up from his ankle through his thick leg fur. I got to his knee and turned away, removing my hand. "There you go." "Noooooo, Davy..." Forts nightshirt was now just below his bollocks. He flashed it up wards revealing his hard thick cock. I gave a sad smile, "It's a pity you are so tired..." Forts tensed his stomach muscles, causing his cock to rear up. "No, we're not... We are both okay... Look..." His cock jumped again, its little polo neck slipping back under his throbbing glans. I leant towards him and kissed him, "Well if you're sure..." He nodded enthusiastically as I wrapped my hand round his hard shaft and leant to turn off the bedside light suddenly noticing the bedside clock. "Hey, it is midnight... Merry Christmas, my darling." I flicked off the light. * I woke with Forts spooned tight behind me, his gooey cockhead sitting just between my arse cheeks in a wet, sticky pool of spunk. Once upon a time, I would have been upset, now it just felt right and gave me a warm feeling throughout my body. I reach back and patted his thigh. "Are you awake?" Forts kissed my neck, "Yep, I have just been lying here waiting for you too. Merry Christmas my darling." "Merry Christmas Forts..." * "Unrcle Florts, Unrcle Florts, Santa has been, Santa has been." Andrew came flying towards the bed. "Come on, come on look..." Andrew grabbed Forts' hand and began pulling at him. Forts picked him up and dumped him on the bed, "Morning, Andrew. Merry Christmas." Edik appeared at the door with Draco in his arms. "Oh, I am sorry. I didn't realise he was heading this way." Forts gave me a squeeze, "There goes my Christmas cuddle..." I kissed his cheek, "There is always later..." Forts kissed me back and sighed, "Come on, you have to get up too." Forts pulled back the covers and got out of bed, still naked. "Edik, throw me my dressing gown, can you?" Edik's eyes looked up and down Forts' naked body. He glanced round and found the discarded nightshirts, "Here you had better put this on too... Everyone is waiting for you two... You are the last up." "Come on, come on..." Andrew was jumping on the side of the bed. "Come on, Davy." I grabbed him and pulled him on to his back. "Oh, you finally remembered your brother, did you?" I began tickling him, while Forts got decent. * We all made our way to the Christmas tree in our apartment. Mum, Dad, Athol, Archie, Callum, Gethin, Robert, Dima, Little Colin, Tobias, Darius, Denis, Marcus, McPhee, Harding, Jeremy, Gary, Maureen, Aaran, Niki, Ouranoff, Samara, Vlad all smiling expectantly as we entered. Athol was holding Radost, "Look Cuddles, they are finally here. That's them. They did this to me... And him!" Athol pointed Radost's nose towards Professor Harding. Now maybe I should explain. You will remember that Athol was worried about his red beard and Harding had offered to turn it white. That had gone really well, Athol's beard and hair had been transformed into flowing white locks and a bushy Santa Claus beard. The only little problem was, it still was. It hadn't been a dye, but a bleach... Forts couldn't help himself, seeing his dad still looking like Santa, he had grinned, "No red suit this morning?" Athol turned to face Forts. "That one is as bad, Radost, he is a nasty piece of work, too." "Aww Dad... You were amazing! The children loved it." Athol smiled. He had been. Forts had said he wanted to put on an amazing Christmas party, he had achieved that easily. I smiled to myself as I thought back to it. The children had arrived at the party open mouthed. They all passed the huge Christmas tree by the entrance to the house decorated with small bags of sweets, kindly donated by Dexy and his men. One of them was dressed as an elf. Well, I think he was supposed to be an elf. He made sure all the children received a bag of sweets from the tree as they passed. Most of the children were accompanied by their parents and ranged in age from three to fourteen. Excitedly, they moved to the main entrance and found themselves confronted by a sign which read, 'This Way To OZ'. It was great to hear the excited little squeals, most of these children had never been to a cinema or seen a film. Just inside the door, they found themselves stepping on to a marked out yellow brick road. This wound its way slowly to the ballroom. The children walked open mouthed following the path finally arriving in the Ballroom where they stood gazing at the gilt interior and paintings which seemed to be staring down from the walls welcoming them. Around the edge of the room were tables, soon to be piled high with food, sandwiches, and cakes. With Dexy's help, Forts had really managed to push the boat out. With everyone seated facing the large screen, adults at the sides on chairs, the estate children cross-legged on the floor, the main lights dimmed. You could feel the excitement and anticipation in the room. Finally, the lights on the huge Christmas tree went off. And the magic began on the screen. There were more squeals from the children. Most had never seen anything in colour. War time Britain was a pretty grey and gloomy place. Yet here, by the miracle of the big screen and Hollywood, they were all transported somewhere magical. Forts sat next to me, grinning and chuckling as I sang along, 'Over the Rainbow', 'Ding-Dong! The Witch is Dead', 'We're Off to see the Wizard' and a myriad of others, I seemed to know them all by heart. The children excitedly cheered and booed in equal measure, waving at the screen and then covering their eyes at the 'winged monkeys'. Several times I caught myself joining in. Forts just giggled at me. He gripped my knee, "You okay Glenda?" I nodded, took my hankie out, and blew my nose. It was a happy yet sad moment when it came to an end. As the screen dimmed, the lights on the tree came back on, quickly followed by the huge chandeliers sparkling high up on the ceiling, then the wall sconces flickered into life. Forts moved up onto the stage and stood in front of the projection screen. Beaming, he shouted in to the microphone, "Did you all enjoy that?" He laughed as the roar of just under five hundred excited children nearly knocked him off the stage. "Do you want more?" "Yessssss." They all screamed back. Forts smiled over at me. God, I loved him. He had all the kids eating out of his hand. "Right, well, we all have to be very quiet... very quiet indeed... When you hear something... you all let me know. Can you do that? Because I am a bit deaf." "YESSSSSS." They all screamed back. Fort was grinning, "Alright then... Everyone quiet." He winked over at me as the room filled with kids going, "Shushhhhhh." Forts stood exaggeratedly, holding a hand to his ear... More "Shussshhhhs" rattled round the room as the children began to settle down. Of course, it was all carefully choreographed. Forts waved for me to come up onto the stage. I joined him quickly, both of us pretending to be straining to hear... >From outside the main doors, there was a muffled, "Ho, Ho, Ho." Forts and I acted all excited and pointed towards the doors behind the seated children. The sea of head turned towards the doors as Forts called out, "Who can that be?" Another, "Ho, Ho, Ho." This time accompanied by the jingle of bells. "Who can that be?" Forts called out again to the excited children. "Do you think it could be Father Christmas?... Shall we all call out his name and see if we can get him to come in?" Forts shouted rhetorically, as he began to chant, "Santa, Santa, Santa!" The call was quickly taken up by the kids. The room erupted as the doors burst open and in strode Father Christmas, complete with a large sack over his shoulder, his shock of white hair and his great bushy beard clearly visible. "Ho, Ho, Ho, hello boys and girls." It was great to watch, the younger kids stood in awestruck silence, the older ones shouting and waving excitedly. Athol, his once Ginger beard now a perfect white, played it for all it was worth, waving and shouting, Ho, Ho, Ho, repeatedly. Santa had moved through the children, waving and Ho, Ho, Ho'ing until he got to the stage. While everyone had been distracted welcoming Santa, a large gilt chair, practically a throne, had been moved on to the stage. Father Christmas sat himself down on it. It took a while, but every child got to sit on Santa's knee and all received a Hershey chocolate bar, another treat supplied by Dexy and his guys. To conclude this part Santa had left to crazy waving children and not a few tears. Next came party games and some more singalongs led by yours truly. All in all, the party had been amazing. * Now where was I? Christmas morning. Forts and I grinned and gave embarrassed waves from the door, "Hello everyone." Marcus thrust two glasses of Champagne into our hands. "Merry Christmas." Everyone was grinning and held up their glasses as they toasted us. The next hour was spent with Forts handing out our presents to everyone. We had made it clear that we didn't want any back from anyone. I was beginning to think we had pulled it off. That is until Dima stood momentarily, popped out of the room and then came back in. "Everyone, I have a bit of story to tell you..." He indicated for Robert to join him, which he did. "Along with the rest of us, Robert here was very touched by the story of the Tsarevich Alexis' dog Radost, and intrigued too when he heard the original Radost was a puppy sent over from Britain." Dima wrapped his arm round Robert's waist. "Now, I don't know how he did it but Robert here managed to trace the original breeders and found that they still had dogs from the original Radost bloodline." As if on cue, we all heard a little Yap and Dima's jacket moved. "Forts and Davy, it is only right that Radost has a little friend." Dima opened his jacket and out popped two brown and white paws and a little black nose, followed by two dark eyes and a pair of floppy ears. "Chaps, now, Robert and I called her 'Hope.'" He chuckled, "Now the Russian scholars amongst you will realise that the Russian word for 'Hope' is 'Nadezhda,' a bit of a mouthful for a western tongue. So, we have shortened it to 'Nadya'. Chaps, meet Nadya." Forts and I were now both on our feet. Forts held out his hands and took the puppy from Dima. He turned to me, his eyes glassy, "Davy, meet Nadya." I had barely stroked her chin when Athol was beside us with Radost. The two pups touched noses and then struggled to get to each other. Athol took hold of Nadya and hurried over to show her to everyone. Forts turned to Dima and hugged him and then Robert. I did the same. Robert winked, "Sorry I wasn't around when you wanted me the other morning... Darius and I were picking her up from the station." Forts beamed, "I knew something was up... I knew it." Forts smiled and kissed my cheek, "Our family is growing." I kissed him back, it sure was. * The impromptu party broke up. We would all be back together later for Christmas dinner. Forts and I were sitting on the floor with Draco, Radost and Nadya, the pups tumbling and chasing each other as they got to know one another. Draco was lying on his back giggling up as Forts played 'peek-a-boo'. I moved behind Forts, putting my arm round his shoulder. "Forts, I know we said no presents..." He sighed and glanced round at me. "Davy!" "It's not much... Honest... But you will have to get dressed, it's outside." "Outside?... Davy... No, I haven't gotten you anything..." He kissed me again, "Well apart from this..." Forts pulled a small box from his dressing gown pocket. "Merry Christmas, darling." I opened it up, "Forts, no." The box contained a pair of huge diamond stud cufflinks. "Forts, these must have cost a fortune... look at the size of the diamonds!" Forts grinned and winked, "Think of them as..." We both finished the sentence, "We are looking after them for posterity." I gave him a big hug. "Now you have to see what I got you. But we need to get dressed." Marcus and Edik came to my rescue. Marcus picked up Radost and Nadya, and Edik, Draco. * I was getting more and more excited and anxious, all at the same time as I dragged Forts down the stairs and towards the entrance. He stopped abruptly at the door as he stared at the beautiful Rolls Royce, soft top down, proudly sitting on the gravel. "You're kidding me!" "Nope, Merry Christmas my darling." Everyone else had come out of hiding and were watching Forts too. "Nooooo..." Forts had broken into a run to the car. He walked slowly round it, his fingers delicately tracing its smooth lines. He jumped in the front. "Come on Davy, let's take it for a spin." I glanced at Tobias, he said a few quick words to young Colin, then stepped forward. "Forts, let me drive. I can familiarise you with its controls later." Forts pouted, but then nodded and clambered into the back. He waved me over. I glanced round at little Colin, who looked miserable. "Colin, do you want to come too?" His face lit up, "Can I?" I held out my hand to him. "You sit up front with Tobias. You can be our security officer." I got in next to Forts. Tobias handed us a woollen car rug, which we wrapped round our legs. "Ready?" Forts was grinning like a Cheshire cat, "We sure are." He gripped my hand under the rug as the engine purred into life and we were off to cheers and waves from everyone watching, and enthusiastic blowing of the horn by Tobias. We raced down the Carriage Drive and turned out on to the main road. Forts hadn't stopped smiling. He turned to me, a tear in his eye. "Thank you... Thank you..." * The day raced from there. Dinner was amazing, Denis and his team excelled themselves. Forts wanted us all to dress for dinner, either suits or uniforms. Forts and I wore our white uniform tunics, with silver embroidery and turquoise sashes. After the meal, Forts had invited all the closest of our staff to join us for a drink and a little soiree, so we could thank them all personally for all their hard work. It sounds like we had set everything up, that wasn't really the case. The footmen and everyone of the household under Denis had done all the work, then had to quickly get changed to join us, the tiding up would wait until the morning. Once again, Dexy had managed to lay on a little band for us. After a short speech of welcome from Forts and me, we personally greeted each member of staff. I hadn't seen Will since I had spoken to him about his conduct. I knew I should have told Forts what had happened, but I also knew that Forts would have sacked him on the spot. Plus, Forts was so very busy. I was torn. Will was actually good at his job, it was his man management skills which were lacking and I really felt that was partially our fault, promoting someone quite so young to such a position of power. Forts, being none the wiser about the incident, greeted Will warmly. I could feel Will watching me the whole time. I had told him I wasn't going to say anything, but I expected to see a marked difference in his behaviour. Will mumbled, "Thank you, Your Grace," as he shook my hand. I nodded back. I caught the glance from Forts, he had heard him. He mouthed to me, "Is everything alright?" I smiled, nodding. Next to Will was Colin, the groom, and then Will's brother, George. Both of them greeted us enthusiastically. We owed Dexy so much. The band struck up with a rendition of 'White Christmas' and quickly moved into more of the popular tunes of the day. As instructed, we made sure all the ladies had dance partners. Forts had made a beeline for my Mum, she was overjoyed once more to be dancing with a real prince. I managed to get a few dances myself with her later, too. One couple that did stand out was Jeremy and Colin, the groom. You will remember Jeremy was Gethin's driver, now he was unable to fly anymore. Jeremy had Colin in a very tight embrace, and a couple of times I saw them heading outside. Hmmmm. As Mum and I danced, I suddenly noticed a rather depressed looking Will at one of the tables. He had his head down and seemed to be concentrating on the half empty glass in front of him. I was rather relieved when Athol interrupted Mum and me and took over from me. I headed over to Will. He glanced up as I sat down. He tried to stand, but staggered. I smiled, "You're alright, stay sitting." "Your Grace." He mumbled. I reached for his hand. "Will..." To be honest, I wasn't sure what to say next. He looked up at me. He looked so sad. "Yes, Your Grace." "Will, please, call me Davy... Look, I said my piece and you know where we both stand. You will realise I haven't said anything to Forts, and I don't intend to. But I don't like seeing you this upset." Will glanced up at me and nodded. "So, can we still be friends?" Will nodded and swallowed, his eyes staring straight into mine. "I can't help it Davy... I really love hi..." "Hey what are you two talking about?" I glanced up. It was Forts. I smiled, "Oh, we are just chatting." Forts pulled up a chair, "You are very quiet. Are you alright, Will?" Will blushed and took a swig from his glass. "Yes, thank you..." We all sat chatting for a while. Will came round a bit, but Forts definitely knew all was not well. I was really starting to worry when Colin and Jeremy came over. Will greeted them and accepted their offer to walk him back to his room at the stables. I would speak to Will again in the morning. ** Jeremy takes up the story Colin and I managed to get a pretty drunk Will back to his room above the stable office, pulled off his shoes, and dumped him on the bed. For a few moments, I wondered about removing even more of his clothing, but my real target for tonight was Colin, the groom. "Okay, let's go and find somewhere we can get better acquainted. Will should be fine in the morning once he sleeps it off." Colin seemed to blush. I stroked his face, "So where are you taking me?" "Maybe the hayloft?" He practically whispered it. Got him. "Show me the way, tiger." We left Will and headed back down the stairs and out into the stable yard. "This way." I put my arm round his waist and pulled him closer to me. Leaning into his neck, I nibbled his ear. It was lucky he was about my height. I giggled to myself at how Forts used to call me, 'short arse'. "Not so fast, remember, my legs." He stopped suddenly, "Oh sorry..." "That's okay." I kissed his cheek. He looked round at me as I slid my hand down to his pert bum. I leant in and kissed his lips, pulling him closer to me. We kissed for a few moments. He pulled away, looking at the ground, "How did you hurt your legs?" He was obviously feeling embarrassed, as all sixteen-year-olds do, and wanted to change the subject. I smiled, "Now there is a story. I was a pilot and was flying Forts, Davy, Athol, Archie, Gethin, and Callum back up to Scotland when our plane was attacked by Gerry fighters. I was hit in the legs and they decided I couldn't fly anymore, but Gethin took me as his driver." "Wow, you were shot down?" I pulled him closer to me again, "Hey, no. Not shot down, that's why I got this." I pointed to my Distinguished Flying Medal ribbon. "Wow, they gave you a medal." I nodded. I badly needed to fuck this kid. "Yes, they did. Come on, let's get to the hayloft, and I can tell you all about it." He led me into the building opposite the office and Will's accommodation. He flicked the light switch, nothing. He flicked it up and down, still nothing. "Shit! It's not working... Hang on, there was an oil lamp outside, I will get it." Together we managed to get the bloody lamp working, talk about a passion killer. "Come on, show me this interesting hayloft..." I winked at him. He glanced downwards. Boy, this kid was easily embarrassed. I followed him up the narrow wooden stairs. He stopped and seemed to be looking for a good place for us to go. My cock couldn't wait. I took the lamp from him and put it down on the floor. My body pushed him against the closed door. I thrust my now hard cock against him and began to snog him. He kissed me back passionately. It was so horny. He was making little whimpering noises. I began to get his clothes off. He began to clutch at the belt of my RAF trousers and soon had them open and round my ankles. "Suck it!" I pushed him down to his knees and pulled his head towards my groin. His fingers slipped through the fly of my underpants and gripped my swollen cock. "God, you are huge!" Now that made me feel better. I suppose to a teenage boy I was. The enthusiasm of his assault on my cock caused me to stagger backwards, as he enthusiastically began to suck and wank my cock. I felt myself knock into something, but paid it no more heed. I ran my fingers through his hair, "Hey, slow down, there is no rush." He wasn't listening to me. He pulled down my underpants, totally freeing my thick, throbbing, cut, seven-inches. His warm mouth engulfed the head and his tongue went to work licking up the now copious amounts of precum pouring from me. I finally managed to get him up and pushed him over a hay bale next to us and began removing his trousers while I continued to dominate his mouth with my tongue. Things were really heating up. I threw his trousers on to a nearby pile of hay. I was going to fuck this kid good. I grabbed his legs and forced him on to his back... Shit... I froze. "Can you smell burning?" His eyes shot open and the look of pleasure vanished as he pointed and screamed out. "FIRE!" I glanced round just as the pile of hay nearest to us was engulfed in a loud woof and flash of flames. "Shit... Help me, we have to get it out..." He leapt up, both of us trouserless, glancing round, trying to work out how to tackle the quickly growing fire. He began to run towards it. I grabbed hold of him. "No, we have to get out and get help!" Panic was written all over his face, "The horses, the horses." I grabbed him and pushed him towards the stairs as the fire whooshed and seemed to grow by the second. He was screaming, "Fire, Fire," as we tumbled out into the stable yard. I glanced up. The fire was now spreading, flames clearly visible along the roof. "The horses, the horses," he sobbed. I grabbed him and gave him a hard shake, "Run to the house and get help. I will sound the fire alarm here." He stared at me, eyes wild. "Colin! Run to the house and get help!" He nodded and took off running towards the main house. I couldn't grasp how fast the fire was spreading along the roof. I remembered, how strange is that? On our way to the hayloft, I had seen a fire bell next to the water trough. I made my way over to it, quickly working out it operated by turning the handle in a circular motion. I began to turn it, CLANG, CLANG, CLANG, CLANG. ** Denis takes up the story "Drink up chaps. I want to get off to bed..." The six footmen were sitting having a final drink with me in the kitchen. Whose daft idea was it to leave the clearing up until the morning? I was walking to the sink with my glass when the kitchen door burst open and a half naked Colin fell through the door. His eyes wild, he screamed, "Fire... The stables are on fire!" It is amazing how a simple four-letter word can sober you up so quickly. The six footmen leapt up and were already heading towards the door and me. I grabbed Colin. "Colin, you have to alert everyone. Can you do that? The fire alarm is at the top of the main staircase." His eyes were wild. "Colin! Can you do that?" He nodded, mumbling, "It's all my fault." "Colin, just sound the alarm." I pushed him towards the door into the main house. Then turned back to my guys, "Come on." Together, the seven of us set off at a run towards the stables, immediately seeing the orange glow in the sky and through the trees. ** Will picks up the story What the fuck was that? My head was foggy. What was that ringing? No, that wasn't my head. I flopped over on the bed. I saw dancing orange shadows outside through the window. Then it registered. The clanging was the fire alarm! I jumped up and peered out the window and was stunned to see nearly the whole west wing of the stable's roof ablaze. Fuck no, the horses! I pulled on my boots and tumbled down the stairs and out into the yard. I ran across the cobbles, passing the RAF guy from earlier as he was continuing to sound the alarm. I shouted for him to keep going while I got the horses out. I began throwing open the door bolts and swinging open the broad doors. Terrified horses and ponies bolted out past me in to the yard. They would have to be rounded up later, but all that mattered was getting them safe. The roar of the fire and the crashing of falling blazing roof beams filled the air, along with the incessant CLANG, CLANG, CLANG of the fire alarm. Oh, God no! I am sure I screamed out, Pegasus was in a stall with Daphne. I had forgotten all about them. I ran to the stall, flames were everywhere. I hauled open the door expecting them to come running out, but nothing. Shielding my face with my arm, I tried to peer inside. It was no good. I had to go in. ** Forts takes up the story It had been an amazing night. I lay with my arm round Davy's shoulders. I kissed his forehead. "Merry Christmas Davy." He smiled up at me. I was just leaning in for a kiss... CLANG, CLANG, CLANG... The bedroom door burst open, it was Tobias. He was only in his underwear, a terrified little Colin beside him. "The stables are on fire, Forts!" "SHIT NO!" Davy and I both leapt up, and I quickly pulled on my boots, still in my nightshirt. "Davy, wait here, make sure everyone is okay and knows what is going on... I will be back as soon as I can." "No Forts, I am coming too." "No, Davy, please stay here. Make sure everyone is okay. Colin, you stay here with Davy. Tobias, you come with me." I ran into Marcus, Vlad, and Edik with Draco in his arms as I hurried out of the room. "Stay here with Davy. It will be safer, it appears just to be the stables." "I will come with you." It was Vlad. I nodded. Darius met us in the corridor, and the four of us ran to the staircase. Colin the groom was collapsed in a heap, still turning the fire alarm handle. I stopped and made sure he was okay. "Well done Colin, that is enough. You can stop now." The sudden silence was deafening. He looked up at me, panic in his eyes, "I am sorry, it's all my fault." I patted him on the head, and the five of us headed down the stairs. We must have been quite a sight. Darius and Tobias were only in shoes and underpants, Colin half naked, Vlad in his black robes and me in riding boots and nightshirt. We ran out in to the night, I heard Darius gasp as we saw the orange glow, "Oh, my God." We slipped and slid our way over to the stables, again hearing the CLANG, CLANG, CLANG of the fire alarm. Running into the yards, my brain couldn't take in the full scene. Two wings of the stables were now ablaze. I ran over to Jeremy. He looked exhausted. I patted him on the back, "You can stop now. Well done, my friend." He didn't answer, just stared at me. Denis and the footmen were fighting the fire. I was amazed. They seemed to have a small pump fire engine. Two had hoses directed at the blaze, while the other four of them pumped the wooden handles on the fire engine. "Forts!" It was Denis. "I have the chaps trying to fight the fire." "Where did that come from?" I pointed at the fire engine. "All big houses have them now... I have been training the guys since we opened the place back up." There was another thing I knew nothing about. Thank goodness for Denis. "Denis, what about the horses?" "They are all out, I think. Will apparently released them all." I felt a wave of relief. "Good, where is he?" Denis' face paled, "I don't know... Sorry, we have been concentrating on the fire." My stomach flipped, "Fuck, we have to find him! Where's Pegasus and Daphne?" I knew Pegasus would not have run off. Where was he? A hand grabbed me, it was Colin the groom. "Colin." He was looking round, "Where is Will?" "We don't know..." He stared wild eyes straight at me. "Where are Pegasus and Daphne? Oh, God, no!" Colin broke into a run towards one of the burning stalls, Darius, Tobias, and me in hot pursuit. Then I heard the whiney I knew so well, I glanced round, but where was he? "Colin no!" He either didn't hear me or ignored me as he ran into the burning stall. "Will is here, he is here. The beam has fallen on him." Shielding out faces, the three of us ran in. Colin was right, as we entered he was pulling at a blazing beam. Will was lying unconscious beneath it. Then I heard it again, the familiar Whiney of Pegasus. He was definitely still in the stall too along with Daphne. Neither were able to escape past the blazing beam. "Hang on boy..." I called out. I heard another whiney back, and it sounded like he was rearing up. "Wait, boy, I am coming for you." The four of us somehow managed, coughing and spluttering, with small bits of flaming straw floating around our heads, to heave the beam over to the side freeing Will. Colin began dragging him by the leg towards the door, quickly aided by Darius and Tobias. I was going to follow them, but I couldn't just leave Pegasus and Daphne. I headed to the rear of the stall. Tobias' frantic voice from the door, ringing in my ears, "No Forts, get out... get out, the roof is coming down." I stopped and looked up as I heard the loud crack. I shielded my face from more falling embers. I felt a sharp pain in my shoulder and the wind was knocked out of me. * I came round on the ground, aware of people speaking around me. "He is not dead, is he?" It was Colin, the groom. "No, bloody Pegasus is a hero, he dragged him out." I slowly opened my eyes, Christ, my shoulder hurt. Tobias was standing kneeling next to me, smiling. He took a big breath, "God, I could kiss you! And that bloody horse!" There was a familiar whiney and a large hoof stamped down next to me, then I was licked. "Hello Boy! Hello Daphne." Daphne nodded her head. The two of them were just so different, Pegasus always so ballsy and Daphne so demure. I loved them both so much. I grabbed Tobias' hand, "How is Will?" He glanced at Darius, then back at me. "Pretty badly burnt Forts. Professor Harding and Vlad are with him now. Forts, Pegasus has a few burns on his back too, he took the brunt of the beam hitting him as the roof came down." "Is he okay?" Tobias nodded, "He will be." "I think my shoulder might be broken, it hurts something wicked." I tried to adjust myself to get a bit more comfortable. Tobias ruffled my hair, "It's only a horsey tooth mark... That's where he grabbed you and dragged you out by." I looked up at Pegasus. That horse, I am sure, he grinned and me and then let out a loud whiney. Tobias helped me to sit up, I still couldn't really take in what was happening. Denis and the footmen with many more of our guests were still fighting the fire. I looked over as I heard Colin, the groom, begin loudly sobbing. He was kneeling, his hands in prayer as Father Vladimir touched a cross to Will's lips as he administered the Last Rites. ********************** Folks, I really hope you're enjoying the story.
