But several times, I have really imagined if we would have been able to make a thing of it. It seems after tonight, so did he." I turned to the silent Darius. He nodded and smiled, "I think you need another drink." ** Operation Pied Piper – Part 156d Part 156d minor characters making an appearance or receiving a mention: Judge Barnaby McHake – (His Honour - Judge McHake/Barnaby/Barny) Robin Little – (Robin) 17yrs boy was at the children's home. When Forts had come through for breakfast, he had barely acknowledged me. I watched as a very quiet Forts sat and picked at his breakfast. Albert had given me a concerned look, but there was little else either of us could do, not until Forts at least spoke. * I had wanted to go down to the piano bar last night when they returned to the hotel, but Darius had said no. I had sat waiting until they appeared, the two of them had obviously both had a drink, but they weren't drunk, just quiet, thoughtful even. Once Forts was safely in his bedroom, I had taken Darius aside and asked him what had happened. He wouldn't say. Incredulous, I told him, that I needed to know if I was to protect Forts from any threats that the judge posed. Darius had sighed, "Duke, the judge isn't a security threat, far from it." He sighed, adding, "In fact I wish he was. Look Duke, believe me, if it was a security matter, I would tell you, but it isn't." "Well, what is it then?" "Duke, Forts has asked me not to say anything. I am sure when he is ready, he will tell you. But I can't, I promised him." I felt hurt; excluded. After all, I loved Forts and Davy as much as anyone. I rounded on Darius again, sneering, "So, more secrets? I thought we had agreed back at Pittodrie, there would be 'NO MORE SECRETS'." Darius shook his head, "Duke, please, I am sure Forts will tell you when he is ready." Darius, my friend, was troubled, I could see that. He shook his head and left me, heading to the room the three of us were sharing just along the corridor. "I'm sorry Duke, believe me. I wish I could tell you." * Now thinking about it in the cold light of the morning, I could see that Darius had been struggling to process and come to terms with what had happened himself, let alone trying to justify and explain it to me. * Forts' demeanour didn't improve all morning. He hadn't eaten his breakfast. He seemed consumed by melancholy, staring out of the window and into space, his face tense, as he reflexively appeared to bite at the inside of his cheek and lips. * James arrived around ten o'clock. He greeted everyone, but he quickly sensed things were amiss. Forts barely acknowledged him. James had glanced questioningly at Albert and then me, both of us had just shrugged our shoulders. Forts only barely nodded when James offered to go through the day's itinerary. As he began, Forts sat, preoccupied, barely listening to the updates. I sat at my post quietly listening and watching, not to the updates, but at Forts. What had happened that was causing him so much pain? After a few minutes, Forts interrupted the update by suddenly jumping up, he turned to a surprised James. "James, I am sorry, there is something I need to do. Can you get Davy on the phone, please?" Poor James was taken on the back foot. "Davy, now? Is everything okay?" Forts just nodded, mumbling. "Well, I suppose I am about to find out." James looked confused, "Sorry?" Forts retorted, "Just get him on the phone, please." I really wanted to say something, but it wasn't my place. James was now under no illusion, he knew Forts wasn't himself, but I think he had put it down to him feeling unwell and excusing himself from dinner last night. As far as I was aware, James didn't know, as per Forts' implicit instruction, about either the letter or that Darius and Forts had gone out to meet the judge. Perplexed, James glanced at his watch. "Forts, I think Davy will be teaching now." Something in Forts snapped. "Well, ring bloody Castle Fraser then! I have to speak to him." James bowed, somewhat confused and taken aback, "Certainly, just give me a few minutes." Forts was already marching towards his bedroom door, he snapped, "Have the call transferred to the bedroom when you get him," before vanishing through the door in to the bedroom and closing the door behind him. James looked a bit ruffled, he looked over to me, "What's wrong with him? Do we need to get a doctor? Do you think he has food poisoning or something?" I wasn't expecting the question, consequently I blurted out, "James, I don't know, he has been like this since he got back last night." James looked at me suspiciously. "Got back? Got back from where? I thought he wasn't well and had gone to bed?" I realised I had spoken out of turn. "James, I am sorry, you will have to speak to Darius, he wouldn't tell me." There was a flash of anger across James' face, "Where is Darius then?" "In our room, resting, he was on duty all day yesterday and most of the night." James seldom loses his temper, so this was really out of character. "Get him!" He shouted at me. "But James, I am on duty here." "Duke! I am not going to tell you again. I said get him. Get Darius here now! Andrei is outside in the corridor, Forts will be perfectly safe! I want to know what the fuck is going on." ** James takes up the story I actually felt sorry for the bleary-eyed and obviously conflicted Darius. He had tried prevarication, but he could see I wasn't about to be fobbed off. He had finally crumbled when I ordered him to tell me what was going on. He had told me about the letter, the meeting with Judge McHake, and the Police File, which thankfully was now in his possession. But more worrying was hearing about Forts' reaction to meeting the man again. Now, I don't think Forts knew, but I had heard from Davy the story of 'that night', when Forts had vanished in London overnight and had been brought back by the Police. Davy had thought I should know everything about them both when I had taken up my position as Forts' equerry. It now appeared Forts had told Davy most of what had happened, but by the sound of it, he had left out some very important details. And, God, what was he up to now wanting to see the man again? I had demanded, in fact, ordered Darius to give me the Police file, which he reluctantly had. I could see how much it upset him betraying Forts' trust, especially after everything that had transpired at Pittodrie before we had left. * My issue was that now that I knew, I didn't know quite what to do. What on earth could Forts want to speak to Davy about that was so urgent if not this? While I pondered what to do, I asked Albert to inform Forts, 'There was a problem with the line and that I hoped to get hold of Davy for him soon'. Albert had looked at me apprehensively, he had every right to. With Forts obviously in a confrontational and emotional state, this wasn't his job. It was mine. Taking a deep breath, I picked up the Police File, telling Albert, "Sorry, I will do it." He looked positively relieved. I knocked on the bedroom door. Forts answered from inside, "Come in." I opened the door and slipped inside. Forts was lying on the bed, still in his housecoat, he had his eyes closed. The phone was sitting next to him on the bedside cabinet. Opening his eyes, he looked over at me. "Well? Is there a problem with the call? I haven't heard from Davy yet." I swallowed, "Forts, that is what I want to talk to you about. You seem troubled by something. Are you okay? Would you like me to call you a doctor?" "I don't need a doctor. I am fine." I swallowed, "In that case, can I ask what you intend to speak to Davy about?" Forts' eyes looked at me under his fringe. "I beg your pardon?!" My head was telling me to make a hasty exit, but I stood firm. "Can I ask what it is you wish to speak to Davy about?" Forts didn't answer, his impassive look slowly changing to a glare. I swallowed, holding up the police folder, "Is it about meeting Judge McHake, or should I call him Barny, last night and your desire to meet him again?" Forts' eyes narrowed, and his neck flushed red. He slammed his fist down on the mattress. Angrily, he shouted, "So, someone has been blabbing. Well, YOU can just turn your arse around and tell Darius to get his in here. I want to see him immediately!" Forts' voice rose as he ranted, completely losing it. Standing my ground, I returned his glare. "NO, I am staying here. No one has been blabbing as you put it. You, unfortunately, neglected to tell me about this rather important matter. I had to order Darius to tell me what happened last night... and to get him to hand over this!" I waved the police file at him. Forts glared at me. This confrontation wasn't going to get us anywhere. I deliberately softened my tone, "It is obvious you are not yourself this morning. We are all worried about you and the last thing any of us want is Davy being upset up in Scotland again while you are down here. So, I ask you again, what is it you intend to speak to Davy about?" Obviously furious, Forts' body exploded off the bed. He marched over to me and was standing inches from my nose. "I am not sure quite what business of yours it is what I speak to Davy about. Perhaps you can enlighten me as to just when it became the case that I have to check with YOU WHAT I WANT TO TALK TO MY PARTNER ABOUT!" He was apoplectic, a speck of spittle flew from his mouth towards me, as he screamed, "Well?!" I stood stock still, I could feel his spittle land on my cheek. I had to calm things down. Slowly, I took out my hankie and wiped the spittle away, then replace the hankie in my pocket. My eyes returned to match his death stare, his eyes didn't leave me the whole time. I took a breath, keeping my voice as calm as I could, repeating. "Are you intending to speak to Davy about Judge McHake, Barny?" I paused, "Because if you are, I will have to warn Chris and everyone else at Pittodrie to get ready to pick up the bloody pieces." Forts' eyes burned, a range of emotions flashed across his face in rapid succession; annoyance, betrayal, confusion. He clenched his teeth and spun away. I felt my body slump, phew. Forts stood staring into space a few feet from me, his fists clearly clenched and his body tense. I took another breath, "Forts, please. You know how Davy can get. This will destroy him." Forts could be many things, but cruel wasn't one of them. Thankfully, my words seemed to strike a chord. He remained facing away from me. When he spoke, his voice was much more controlled. "So, all of you would rather I deceived and lied to him?" I matched his tone, "Forts, no one is asking you to deceive or lie to Davy. Please, I am your friend, we all are. I am also paid to be your advisor. You told me always to be honest with you. That being the case, may I strongly suggest that you delay speaking to Davy about Barny until we are all back in Scotland?" Forts was still facing away. His voice trembled. "And what if I want to sleep with Barny again while I am here?" I couldn't really believe my ears, I felt my voice rising again as my frustration with Forts consumed me again. "Firstly, before you betray Davy, I would tell you to make sure you read the inscription on the inside of YOUR constellation ring! The ring Davy gave you... Just like you keep reminding Davy to do! Then, if you insist on fucking Barny anyway, I would have to DEMAND that you not tell Davy about it until we return to Pittodrie. To do otherwise would just be to cruel." I could feel my bottom lip trembling with the emotion over taking me. Forts walked back over to his bed. I could see him turning the ring on his finger, he slipped it off and read the inscription inside. He paused and then replaced it on his finger. He visibly swallowed, as he composed himself, "Okay, you have said your piece, you can go." "I haven't finished! Another thing, you went out without a police escort. Forts that was just downright irresponsible." "I had Darius with me." Forts mumbled back. "Forts, for Christs' sake, give your brain a chance! You had no idea what you were heading into! It could have been a trap. Forts, please. You are too valuable for us to lose because of sheer stupidity." Forts' face showed I was getting to him. "Have you finished now?" Maybe I had gone too far. I took another breath, I couldn't leave him like this, I took a step forward. "Forts, please, you know you can talk to me about anything. Please, this meeting with Barny, you can't do this to Davy, it will break his heart, and what for? A shag with someone you barely know." "James!" I dropped to my knee, "Forts no, you have to listen." He turned to face me, his piercing eyes again focused on me but gradually glassing up. Slowly, he nodded and let out a sigh, "James, please get up..." I stood again as he continued, "The thing is, I know you're right... I am sorry, what is wrong with me? ... But, I can't get Barny out of my mind." He shook his head... "James, cancel the call to Davy. I will speak to you later, when I have the slightest clue what I actually want to do myself... I am so confused and wracked with guilt, too. I love Davy. You know that, you have to believe me." I nodded, "Forts please, don't throw everything you have away on an infatuation, or thoughts of what might have been. You must realise that is what you are about to do. If not Davy, think about Draco. Please let us talk this through, please, Your Imperial Highness, Forts!" My own voice was now becoming quite emotional. Forts gave me a pensive look, and nodded again, "Thank you, James. We will talk, just let me get it all straight in my head first." He paused, "Oh James, you had better send Albert to me. I had better be getting showered and dressed. Aren't we supposed to be meeting that government official today?" I gave him a little reassuring smile, "So you were listening to me earlier?" I was so pleased to see just a glimpse of the old Forts was still in there. Forts nodded and flashed me a smile, followed by a wink, "I was, well, some of the time." I chuckled, returning his smile, "Yes, we are supposed to. But I can cancel that meeting if you don't feel up to it." Forts bit his lip, he shook his head, "No, I will go." There was another flash of one of his old smiles, as he laughed, "Otherwise we will never get rid of Dima." I laughed with him. Forts thought for a moment, "James, I'm Sorr..." The light tap on the door interrupted him. Forts turned towards it, now much calmer. "Come in." As the door opened, a worried-looking Darius was standing there. He came in and stood to attention. He gave Forts a curt head bow, but kept his eyes downcast. "Your Imperial Highness, Duke overheard you shouting that you wanted to see me. Well, here I am." Forts shook his head, he looked at me again. "God, I've really fucked this up, haven't I?" He turned back to Darius, "No, my friend, sorry. I wasn't thinking straight. James has told me that he ordered you to tell him about last night. I don't blame you. Can I say I am sorry that I put you in an impossible position. I should have told James myself." Darius glanced at me and then gave Forts another head bow. "Forts." Forts shook his head and smiled. He walked over to him and embraced him, "Darius, thank you... For everything, especially for listening to me last night. I don't deserve any of you." He turned to me, "And thank you, James." I found myself giving him a respectful head bow too. Forts nodded again. "I will see you both in a few minutes, just let me shower and dress." He turned away, then chuckled and turned back to us, "Can you imagine how dangerous I could be if I actually had a brain?" Darius and I both returned his smile, but said nothing. Forts grinned and burst out laughing as we both left. "You can argue... ha, ha, ha." ** Chris takes up the story I walked into the dining room, Davy was already there. He beamed as I approached, "Hi Chris, fancy joining me for something to eat? Actually," He grinned, "I am not sure if I should even speak to you. Fitting me up with that!" I smiled, "Ah, you can't mean poor upset, lovestruck Kenneth." "That's exactly who I mean." He shook his head, "Have you seen Lillis, I think I will have to have a word with him. I can't cope with dealing with a trail of broken hearts." I sat down, chuckling. "He is a bit of a stud." Davy sat back, something was bothering him, I knew Davy well enough to know that. "Chris, have you heard from James this morning?" I shook my head, "No, but I wasn't really expecting to, didn't they all have that meal together last night? ... They probably all have hangovers." Davy nodded, "Yes, I suppose you are right... I haven't heard from Forts either. He said he would ring after the meal, but he didn't... and he hasn't rung this morning either." I took hold of Davy's hand. God, he was hopeless without Forts around him. "I am sure everything is okay... Now don't go getting all worried, You know Forts adores you." Davy's lip trembled, and he nodded, his eyes just glassing. "I know, I am just being silly again." I grinned, putting on my mocking baby voice, "OH, didn't little Davy get his night time kiss from his Fortseeywartsee?" He laughed, " I can always rely on you for sympathy Chris." "Davy, I think if you are looking for sympathy, you will find it between shit and syphilis in the dictionary." Davy shook his head, grinning. Good, he was back to his old self. "I think you need to know your place, Baronet Kingholm, and remember who you are talking to." Mocking subservience, I tugged at my forelock, "Oh your Grace, please, please forgive me." Davy laughed, "That's better, now just behave, or I will set the dogs on you." ** Cailin takes up the story I had just finished mucking out Scimitar. I turned to see Robin was watching me. He looked miserable as he leant over the half stable door. "Hi Robin, are you okay? You look like someone has stolen your scone." "Scone? I haven't had a scone." I crossed over to him, "I mean you look miserable, you silly sod." He let out a long sigh, "I'm really missing him, Cailin. I knew I would, but I didn't think it would hurt as bad as this." I ruffled his hair, "He has only been gone forty-eight hours. You getting blue balls already?" Robin nodded in agreement. I ruffled his hair again. "Luckily, I can help you with that." I had a quick look round the stable yard. "In you come." Robin broke into a big grin as I opened the stable door and let him inside. Scimitar stood quietly chewing at her hay net, she barely gave us a glance. I pulled Robin to me and kissed him. "Now, Duke said we were to keep each other company... I think he probably expected you to last longer than two days, mind." Robin blushed and looked down. "My cock's been so hard since he left." I smiled, "I wondered what kept prodding me in the back last night. I thought you had brought a broom handle to bed with you." "You're laughing at me." "No, I'm not, I could never do that, messing with you, yes, but I could never laugh at you." Robin stood, his hands on his hips, his groin thrust forward. I could see the tent standing proudly out in front of him. I gave it a tweak. He groaned, "See!" He did make me smile. "Come on, let's get these off of you." I undid the two brass clasps on the straps fastened at the front of his denim dungarees. The front bib fell down, revealing more of his red tartan shirt. Quickly, Robin shoved the dungarees down over his hips and arse, they slid quietly down to the ground. He pulled up his shirt. He didn't have any underwear on. His teenage cock stood out proudly from below his smattering of dark pubes. "Hey, no wonder you are horny with that," I tweaked his acorn shaped bellend, "Rubbing against your clothes all day." I grabbed the shaft of his bobbing, rock hard five-inch cock again. He had a lovely cock. I slipped my hand under his almond sized balls and cupped them gently. "I see what you mean," I grinned, "They are huge and blue!" Robin hastily looked down to check, then pouted, "You're laughing at me again!" "No, I'm not," I smiled reassuringly, "I am just trying to work out how to help you... Now would you like a blow job or do I have to lose my dungarees too?" Robin broke into a broad grin and nodded. I moved to the door and had another quick look around the yard. We were alone. I undid my dungarees, reached into my pocket and took out a little wrinkled tube of KY, I waggled it at Robin. He recognised it immediately. His eyes went wide, "You carry some with you?" I nodded as I quickly slipped my dungarees and underwear off over my boots. "Always be prepared, remember? ... Now where do you want me, stud?" Robin giggled and pointed to the built in carved stone corner water basin. "Can you get up on there?" I laughed again, "If I am up there, you will need a stool to stand on to reach me." He pouted again. "I'm not that short." I nodded, "Well, not where it counts." He beamed again and waggled his still hard cock at me. "I know, how about you lie on your back and I ride your cock?" Robin nodded and, still with his dungarees tightly bunched round his ankles, he waddled over to the pile of hay I pulled together. I helped him to lay down, otherwise I think he would have tripped and broken his neck. He lay back in the hay, grinning up at me. His hand was now tightly clasped around the base of his cock. It stood proudly upright like a lighthouse. At its tip, just a glint of teenage precum sitting on top of his cocklips, catching and reflecting the afternoon light. I knelt down next to him and he removed his hand, allowing me to grip his cock. I lowered my mouth to it and wrapped my warm, wet, expectant tongue around its head. The taste of his sweet boy prefuck coated my tastebuds in liquid ecstasy. I squeezed his shaft and dragged my tongue across his cockhead again, desperate for more. I couldn't stifle my groan. He chuckled. "Is that good?" Robin said enthusiastically. I glanced along at his head. Robin was now resting his upper body weight on his elbows and was grinning down at me. I just winked and returned my mouth to his cock. He grunted as he let his head fall back into the hay, his hips rising slowly as he attempted to fuck my mouth. His balls had already started to pull up to the root of his cock, my little stallion wouldn't take long. I opened the KY and smeared some on to his cockhead and shaft and then eased some into myself. I clambered over him and positioned my hole above his still steely rod. I gave him a wink and lowered myself, one hand keeping a grip on his dick, adjusting its position as I let it push into me. Robin's fingers were gripping big handfuls of hay. "Are you okay?" He nodded, his mouth tightly clenched closed. "Are you getting a bit close?" I whispered, smiling down at him. He nodded frantically. I paused any movement of my hips and sat stock still on his groin, facing him, his throbbing cock buried to the hilt in my hole. He clenched his eyes shut, "Don't look at me." I giggled, "It's okay, go for it." "Noooo," he groaned as he lost control and thrust his hips upwards. His cock swelled and began to pulse jets of cum into me. "Noooo," he groaned again. His eyes flashed open, he looked so upset. "That's all your fault! I don't usually cum that quick." "Me?" I smiled at him. "I was just sitting here... Waiting for a bus." "Don't laugh at me!" He looked disappointed and broken-hearted, a tear forming in the corner of his eye. He turned away from me, snapping, "Duke wouldn't have cum that quick." I had to chuckle, "Hey, don't be silly, you were amazing, anyway Duke's been doing it for years..." I smiled, "And he is older remember, no sense, no feeling." Robin chuckled, it was good to see him smile again. I went to get up, Robin's eyes following me, "But you haven't cum yet." I gave him a wink, "No, but I will when we do it again later." Any sadness vanished from his face, he began to get up. "Can we?" ** James takes up the story I arranged with Darius that we take two cars to the meeting with the government minister. Dima, Robert and William would travel in one; Forts and I in the other. I packed Brenda off shopping with Count Samara. Forts had sent Samara on a shopping mission. I would only find out what it was all about just before we all headed back home. Thankfully, Forts was buoyant; his old self. I had a horrible feeling I was about to upset all of that. When we got down to the foyer, we made our way out to the vehicles. Forts immediately spotted the waiting police motorcycle outriders, he smiled and gave me a sly wink. Darius already had Dima, Robert, and William in their vehicle. The three of them gave us a wave, Forts began to walk toward their vehicle. I stopped him, "No, this one Forts." I turned him to the second car. Forts glanced suspiciously at me, then at Darius standing next to the second car, "Aren't we all going in the same vehicle?" I shook my head. "Two separate vehicles will give us all more room." Thankfully, Forts didn't say anything, he just got in. Darius closed the door and then got in up front alongside Duke, who was driving. Darius glanced round and the hum of an electric motor started as the privacy screen closed, cutting us off from the front of the vehicle. I sat directly opposite him on one of the jump seats. Forts looked straight at me, his head slightly cocked to the side. Forts and I hadn't broken eye contact. I swallowed, "Well? I am waiting to hear what you have to say." ********************** Folks, there is nothing more rewarding than hearing from you that you are enjoying the story.
