Greg gave me a kiss on the lips. `Are you two going to the film show later? `Yes, will we see you there? `You bet' They both grinned. ******************* Operation Pied Piper – Part 95c Davy continues the story Fort's and I had walked back to the Castle in silence, as we got close to the door, I squeezed his hand again. `Are you okay? He half smiled. `Yes, I am, sorry, I am as soft as you' `Hey, that's not nice, or true' I grinned as he looked at me, pulling his hand over to my groin and shoving it under my sporran; forcing it against my throbbing cock, he wrapped his fingers round it and gave it a squeeze; he smiled and leant in and kissed me. I stood smiling at him as he withdrew his hand, his beautiful eyes, not leaving mine, his expression changed as I held his gaze, he forced a questioning little smile. `What is it? I took hold of both of his hands, my eyes still fixed on his. `I love you so much; come on make love to me' He broke into a Forts cheeky grin `What right here? I gave him my best "if you like look" and winked `Well, if you want; but upstairs on the bed might be more comfortable than on my knees on this gravel, but it's up to you' I reached round and gripped his arse cheeks, pulling his hips into me, I kissed him again. He grinned again and nibbled my ear, whispering: `Oh, you want it deep and hard' I nodded and leant into him, my tongue giving his neck a little lick `And wet and messy' I whispered. He giggled, I stepped back, mouthing `Only if you want to mind? Another heart melting smile; he gripped the front of his kilt, showing me a nice hard bulge; he nodded down at it. `Oh, I have no choice now; he is all raring to go' `We had better get upstairs then' He took my arm and hurried me inside, we were both laughing as we reached the staircase. * `Fort's, Davy can you come to the Office please' We both stopped dead in our tracks, Forts looked at me `We could always pretend we didn't hear him and keep running' `Fort's, Davy, my office please' Fort's shrugged his shoulders. `So close...Damn...well there is always later?' Forts dropped his head and spoke to the bulge forcing out his sporran. `Can you wait? He looked back at me and grinned `He says yes, but you really are going to get it later' `Oh good' I nodded enthusiastically and we did an about turn. Forts calling out `Coming dad' Athol was already at his desk, as we knocked on the slightly ajar door `Come in boys...close the door...you had both better sit down' We sat side by side on one of the couches `Dad, this sounds a bit ominous' Athol picked up an envelope from his desk and came over towards us. `I am afraid it isn't good news' Athol handed the envelope to me, it was already open, I took out the sheet of paper. The header announced it was from the War Ministry, I scanned down, it started "The National Service (Armed Forces) Act 1939, requires that all men aged between 18 and 41, register for National Service, your school is required to supply full names and contact details for any boys falling into this category in the year 1942". There followed a list of names; my name was the first on the list. My smile vanished, I felt myself sway; the paper fell from my fingers, Fort's, seeing my face, madly grabbed at it as it fluttered slowly to the floor, he snatched it up, his eyes scanning the text; he leapt up. `Dad,... no, no, you can't do this, not to Davy!' Fort's quickly scanned the paper again. `Why isn't my name on it? I should be on it too; I am older than him' `Son' Athol's voice broke as he spoke; he looked really upset, he moved to embrace Fort's who pulled away `No, you have to give them my name too, you have to! I will go rather than Davy' Athol was struggling hard to keep his emotions in control `Son, I have no choice, it's the law' `Well give them my name too' Athol took a deep breath; steadying himself. `Drageon, it won't make any difference, you won't be considered; you are... exempt' `Me exempt. Why Me? and not Davy' Fort's yelled at him. Athol stepped towards him again, Forts pulled away `No, you tell me! Athol sighed, his voice low `Drageon, you are a direct blood relative of the Tsar of Russia. With the Imperial Families location currently unknown and there is some doubt whether they are even still alive; you are too valuable to the surviving Romanovs. No British Government would put you in danger, also the Germans would go all out to kill you and probably our supposed Russian Allies too' `But! `Drageon, this is not my decision, but was made at the highest levels of the United Kingdom Government. I was going to speak to you about it separately, I only heard from the Grand Duke Truorwskoy this morning on the phone and have just received his confirmation telegram' He handed Forts the telegram; he quickly read it and then screwed it up in his fist and waved it at Athol. `Well, I will speak to him then, if he can get me out of this he can get Davy out of it too...give me the phone' `Son, it won't do any use' Athol again tried to comfort Forts. Once more he pulled away `No, leave me alone, just leave me alone, how can you do this?' I hadn't spoken up to this point; I felt empty. I called on all my moral courage and tried to sound confident, I steeled myself as I stood up. `Fort's this is not Athol's doing, come on, I suppose we knew it was going to happen sooner or later, it's just the War' Forts, grabbed me, his eyes tormented and pleading. `No Davy, it can't happen like this, I won't lose you, not now, not after everything' Forts lost it and collapsed to his knees sobbing. Athol came over and got down on his knees, he tried to take hold of Fort's arm; he was pushed away again. `No, not you, stay away from me' `Son, please' Athol had tears in his eyes now too; Forts clasped at the bottom of my kilt; howling like an injured animal. I got down on to my knees and hugged him, his body heaved as he sobbed; he momentarily pulled himself together. `Davy, I won't let it happen, I will do whatever I have to do, I can't risk losing you' ** Fort's continues the story Davy was being so strong. But even he had lost heart; his face fixed and emotionless, alas, I was not able to perform as he wanted me too, when we got back to our room; I hated myself. I called for Marcus and asked him to get some tea from the kitchen, I took him to the side `I need you to keep Davy here, distract him somehow, but keep him here' Marcus nodded, as he returned with the tea, I slipped out and hurried downstairs; the office was empty, I quickly looked out the window. Dad was walking with Archie; all I could see was him shaking his head and Archie putting his arm round him. I picked up the phone receiver and spoke to the operator `Please connect me immediately to the residence of his Imperial Highness the Grand Duke Truorwskoy' And gave the number. A familiar voice answered, it was the Chamberlain. He recognised my voice straight away; I asked to speak to the Grand Duke. I stood waiting, tapping my fingers on the desk, I could hear myself muttering `Come on quickly, quickly' I didn't want anyone over hearing the call or interrupting me. `Hello, hello, Your Imperial Highness... yes, yes I am fine thank you. I need your help' I explained everything `And what do I get out of this, if I can help? `I will do what you want' `Excellent, Prince Drageon, arrange to be here in two days, I will speak to you again then' I replaced the receiver; my heart was racing. Now what to tell Davy, if anything? ** Archie takes up the story Athol was inconsolable: yes he was upset at having to put Davy's name on the list; but it was Forts reaction that destroyed him. I got him out of the Castle; as few people as possible needed to see him like this. `Archie, he hates me; blames me' I put my arm round him `Come on, you know Fort's, he is just head strong, he will come round once he has time to think about it' Athol shook his head `I doubt it Archie, you should have seen the hatred in his eyes' I hadn't been present for the meeting, I wished I had been; I had seen the "mess" that was Forts being led from the room, by an expressionless Davy. Neither of them had spoken or even acknowledge they had seen me; then I found Athol sobbing in the staffroom. I glanced at my watch. `Athol, I know this is not what you want to hear, but we have to get things ready for the film show tonight; the younger boys are so looking forward to it' Athol gave a weak smile `By the end of the night, they will all be calling me the Evil Jaffar' He smiled, the first smile for a few hours. He took my hand `Thank you, come on, let's get back and get the show on the road' I knew Athol's heart wasn't in it, but I also knew, telling him how much the boys were looking forward to it, would spur him on; there was nothing he wouldn't do for his pupils. I decided to leave Davy and Forts alone and got McPhee to gather up the other prefects to set out the seats and get things ready. * They were half way through it when Davy appeared, his face pale. Athol had spoken to McPhee about the War Ministry letter and the fact his name was on it too; McPhee had taken it calmly, but still looked concerned. I watched him approach Davy as he came into the Great Hall, he put his arm around him and pulled him close to him `Davy, looks like we are both getting called up together, promise you will watch my back and I will watch yours' He hugged him and slapped his back `Come on Davy. what a team we will be' I was pleased Davy smiled at him and nodded; hopefully we would have our old Davy back soon. Now we just needed Forts back to his old self. `Archie, can you come to the Office please? It was Athol, he was at the door, he gestured for me to hurry. `Davy, McPhee has the seating plan, let him help you get the rest of the seats set out, I have to go Athol is calling me, I won't be long' Athol's gestures were getting ever more frantic, I broke into a run. `What is it? `Quick, in the staffroom; Fort's' He turned and took off at a run down the corridor, me following. stopping at the door and calming himself before opening the door, I followed him in. `Fort's hello son' Forts nodded at me, `Hey don't I get a hug? I crossed over to him and hugged him; his arms remained by his sides. He stepped back as I released him. `Archie, I wanted you here with Dad to hear this' I glanced at Athol; what the fuck was going on. Fort's crossed to the window, his back to us both. `I am leaving to go to London the day after tomorrow, I have agreed to the Grand Dukes terms for getting Davy exempt from National Service' We both knew full well what this meant. Athol stepped forward `But son' Fort's held up his hand to silence Athol; the same gesture Athol so often used when he wanted to be heard out. `I am not here to discuss it with you, just to tell you my decision' Athol looked at me; his eyes full of desperation. My turn to speak `Does Davy know? `No, and I don't want either of you telling him, in fact I want you both to promise you won't' `But Fort's it will break Davy's heart losing you' `PROMISE BOTH OF YOU, NOW' Athol and I both nodded our heads what could we do. `Forts, please reconsider, it will destroy Davy' Fort's was struggling to keep his composure. He put his hand on the window pane staring out into space, and in barely a whisper said `At least he will still be alive' I couldn't stop myself. `Fort's I don't think Davy would agree' He turned and glared at me `You too Archie, I thought you would at least try to understand. Well, that's my decision and I don't want either of you telling him until after I am gon...e' Fort's voice failed on the last word; he slapped his face hard. `If anyone is looking for me I will be in my room' With that he left us, both looking stunned, I walked towards the drinks cabinet `Christ, I need a drink, can I get you one?' All I could hear was sobbing. I left the drink in front of Athol and left, I had to get back to the Great Hall. My mind was racing as I walked along the corridor past the display cabinet of school trophies and that bloody swastika tail plane. `Archie, can I have a word' I turned round it was Marcus, Fort's valet. I stopped while he caught up with me `Archie, I need to speak to you it's about Fort's' I nodded `You know what he is planning don't you? He has asked me to get everything packed, he is not coming back, he intends to marry the Princess Theodora; well, if that's what the Grand Duke insists on' `Yes, he just told us' `But he mustn't, it will destroy him and Davy' What could I say? `I am sure you have told him that, just like we have, he won't listen' `But someone must tell Davy, before it is too late, maybe he can talk some sense into him' `Marcus, he has made us all promise not to say anything until he has left' `So, it is done then' Marcus turned and walked away shaking his head. * Athol was standing in front of a sea of eager faces. I stood to his right, Forts to his left, and Davy and the other prefects and teachers over to the left. It wasn't hard to see, the two faces that wished they weren't there. `Boy's welcome to the first film show at the Castle, before we start, I want to thank ENSA for bringing this film to us and allowing you all to see it along with our Army friends' He gestured to about twenty Americans and a dozen British Soldiers. `Tonight, we have two guests of honour, Bruno the Chef and Niki' He gave a little chuckle `Niki, I can assure you they are Americans not Russians' There was a ripple of laughter. `Okay, well if we are all ready, in Glorious Technicolour, let's enjoy "The Thief of Bagdad' There was a cheer from the boys, as we went to take our seats, Fort's leant into Athol. `Mr MacDonald, would it be okay if I go and sit with Davy to watch the film? Fuck Fort's was really screwed up; Athol's face momentarily lost it's fixed smile. I heard him gasp `Mr MacDonald? Fort's said nothing. `Yes okay, but son we need to speak' Fort's smiled `There is nothing to talk about' And walked away. I grabbed Athol's arm `Come on sit down, try and enjoy the film `Enjoy the film, God, I think I am going to be sick' I got him to his chair, just as the lights came down. The film was everything it promised, a real swash buckling adventure, good triumphing over evil, they even had the baddies all in black so we knew who they were. Like all great films it finished with the Beggar; really Prince Ahmad, killing his treacherous adviser Jaffar and marrying the Princess. The thief of the title, well he flew off into the distance on a flying carpet. I glanced over at Forts; he wasn't watching just staring at the floor. Athol forced himself to stand again `Well boy's what a great story, the Handsome Prince marries his Princes...s' Realising what he had just said, he spun to look at me; shook his head and hurriedly left the hall with his head down. I leapt up to take his place. Trying to get back everyone's attention and talk above the murmuring in the room. I turned to Niki `I hope you enjoyed it too? He nodded enthusiastically `Thank goodness, you didn't have a flying carpet, goodness knows where the two of you would have ended up' **************** Guy's Thank you for taking the time to let me know you're enjoying this story.
