He negotiated more time off work to spend time doing more things together with Klaus. The first planned event was an evening at the Joburg Ballet Theatre. Tom knew that this was something Klaus would enjoy, and he wasn't wrong. Klaus appreciated the evening out. Tom remembered the evening they had enjoyed at the ballet in Barcelona. They also tried to do some walks together after work which really gave them some quiet time together. They spoke a lot on their walks and often thought about Adam on the farm. They looked forward to joining Adam on his trip to Amsterdam. Tom and Klaus also started to search for a larger apartment. There was one going in the building where they stayed, and it was one floor above theirs'. It had two large bedrooms and a large lounge/dining room. Tom would share the one room with Adam when he came to Joburg and Klaus could have the other room. Klaus was happy with the arrangement, and they just had to wait for Adam to visit and give his approval. Adam came for a few days, and it was great to be reunited with him. Tom kissed him and was very glad to be close to him. Adam liked the new apartment and suggested that they go ahead and sign a lease. That night they decided to eat at Tom's favourite pizzeria and Klaus was glad to be together with them. They spoke a lot and Klaus told Adam all about his dissertation and the trouble he was having with his supervisor. Adam suggested that he try and see if he could change his supervisor and that this was fraught with problems. Tom was now on a surgery block and was enjoying the team he was assigned to. Adam spoke about Anna and how she was doing at work, she was still experiencing some challenges with some of the families she was working with. Hannah, the family lawyer was doing well with Hans' estate and was piecing things together. When they got home, they took a shower together. It was good for them to be together again, and they enjoyed familiarising themselves with each other's bodies again. They wanked each other, kissed, and sucked each other off. It was all very sensual under the hot shower. They slept together that night and enjoyed the intimacy. Tom had to leave early in the morning and Klaus and Adam were left to lie in together. After returning from emptying his bladder Adam snuggled up against Klaus' back. His erection pressed against Klaus. Klaus enjoyed this attention and turned around and kissed Adam. Adam asked Klaus to fuck him. Klaus was very aroused and lifted Adam's legs and put them on his shoulders. The lube made entry easy, and Klaus was beside himself. He wanked Adam who came before Klaus did. It was very intense. They lay in bed playing with each other's bodies for a while. A couple of weeks later they were at the airport waiting to board the flight to Amsterdam. Adam used some of the trust funds to get business-class tickets for himself, Tom and Klaus. They enjoyed drinks and dinner in the business lounge and boarded just before midnight. Their seats folded completely flat and with blankets covering them, they were set to sleep the entire journey. Tom was looking out the window as the plane descended into Amsterdam. The first thing that struck him was the intricate network of canals that cut through the city like a life-giving circulatory system. The waters sparkled under the gentle touch of the sun, reflecting the architectural landscape that lined their banks. It looked as if the city had been meticulously etched into the landscape, a patchwork of islands connected by countless bridges. The buildings of Amsterdam immediately captured Tom's attention. Their diverse facades, adorned with gabled roofs and richly coloured bricks, leaned together in a haphazard but harmonious fashion. The church spires, tall and elegant, broke the skyline, evoking a sense of peace amid the vibrant urban landscape. They stood as sentinels of Amsterdam's religious history, rising above the hustle and bustle of modern life. Dam Square, at the heart of the city, was impossible to miss. The Royal Palace, a majestic symbol of the city's historical significance, stood regally amidst the lively streets and bustling markets. It seemed to dominate over the city with a sense of quiet grandeur. The green spaces of Amsterdam provided a refreshing contrast to the urban surroundings. The carefully cultivated tulip gardens in various parks splashed vibrant colours across the landscape, reflecting the Dutch passion for flowers. As the plane continued its descent, the IJ river seemed to stretch endlessly, providing a watery frame for the city. Modern structures like the striking Film Institute added to the historic cityscape. Amsterdam, with its delicate blend of tradition and innovation, appeared as a living, breathing creature from the air. The canals and the architecture combined to create an image of a city that was both timeless and contemporary. Touching down at Schiphol Airport, Tom knew that an adventure was about to begin, and he eagerly anticipated finding their group in the welcoming streets, picturesque canals, and rich culture of Amsterdam. It was autumn in Amsterdam and the trees along the canals were turning gold. They took a taxi to the gay-friendly hotel where they were booked. It was two days before the conference, and they planned to do some tourist stuff. Adam had reserved a double room on the first floor. They used the lift, to avoid the narrow staircase, to get to the first floor and unpacked their luggage. Tom and Adam shared a bed and Klaus had his own bed. They had a little rest before lunch and planned to visit the Rijksmuseum in the afternoon where there was a magnificent exhibition, and they had managed to get some online tickets. It was an incredible visit. Tom enjoyed the new descriptions of exhibits which spoke about the colonial links of the art. Late afternoon they walked to a little pancake restaurant that Adam had visited years ago. It was owned by a queer man. They had to climb a narrow staircase to get to the first floor, there was enough space in the restaurant for two tables. This venue brought back so many memories for Adam. Klaus loved Amsterdam; he had never been there before, but he enjoyed the cosmopolitan feel of the place. Tom also enjoyed the city, which if Tom was honest was a real tourist trap. They walked back to their hotel and had an early night as the long overnight flight was catching up with them. They enjoyed a light breakfast at the hotel. They had booked tickets for the Van Gogh Museum and they were there before the crowds arrived. Klaus was in his element as they walked around the familiar artworks. There was nothing to beat being in the presence of such magnificent art. Klaus was fond of one portrait which highlighted his eyes and his ginger complexion. He did track it down and took a few photographs. They enjoyed eating Dutch fries in the Museum Square that afternoon, and after lunch, they spent time in the Stedelijk Museum which showcases contemporary art. That night they visited a new artisanal restaurant which was the talk of the town. The owners of the hotel had recommended the place, which lived up to expectations. The décor was simple and stylish, and the food was out of this world. The chef had worked in a Michelin-rated restaurant and had transferred his culinary skills to his new restaurant. That night Adam had to put the final touches to his paper, as the conference was starting the next day. Klaus and Tom planned to travel to the Kröller-Müller Museum the next day while Adam was at the conference. The Museum was in the De Hoge Veluwe National Park. Klaus explained that the Kröller-Müller Museum was the lifework of Helene Kröller-Müller. Between 1907 and 1922, she and her husband Anton Kröller bought almost 11,500 works of art, accumulating one of the largest private collections of the twentieth century. The museum first opened its doors in 1938. The museum is a second home to Vincent van Gogh and boasts almost 90 paintings and more than 180 drawings, making it the second-largest collection of Van Goghs in the world. In addition, the museum is home to top works by modern masters including Claude Monet, Georges Seurat, Pablo Picasso and Piet Mondriaan. Tom and Klaus cycled around the park and spent the morning in the museum. That afternoon they enjoyed a picnic in the gardens. They took a train back to Amsterdam in the evening. They were glad to connect with Adam again. His paper went well and there were many questions discussed after his presentation. That night they went to one of the oldest gay pubs in the city, where they met some locals and drank a couple of beers together. Later they walked back to the hotel and took turns showering. They decided to spend the night together in one bed enjoying the intimacy. The next morning Adam had to get to the conference early and Tom and Klaus decided to stay together in bed. Klaus wanted Tom to have sex with him, and it was a great experience for both, and it was particularly special being in Amsterdam together. After a shower, Tom and Klaus went for a walk in Vondel Park. The autumn leaves made for a picturesque setting, and they enjoyed exploring the park. Klaus wanted to visit one of the famous coffee shops in the afternoon and Tom agreed to go with him. It was a good experience, but Tom said that he wouldn't want to do it again. It was late afternoon; they spent some time in the American Bookshop at the heart of the city. Tom found a lovely book on the secret lives of fungi for Adam. They met Adam on Museum Square in the evening, it was a little chilly but still pleasant enough to be outside. They walked along the thoroughfare to Rembrandt Square where they had dinner. The conference was over, and they planned to take a trip by train the next day up to Groningen to meet up with Adam's cousin who worked at the university. She was an English lecturer, and Adam had not seen her in years. The town was known for its medieval buildings and the huge number of bicycles. Kate welcomed them at the station, and they walked across to her office on campus. There she introduced them to some of her postgraduate students and they spent the afternoon on the university lawns. She had a seminar scheduled with them on Damon Galgut's award-winning book "The Promise". She set the afternoon up for them as South African experts to interrogate as she led the discussion. That evening they had dinner with Kate at the hotel where they were staying. Kate left early and they decided to find one of the many nightclubs that Groningen was famous for. There was an excellent band playing and they ended up staying until after midnight. Klaus had never really been in a venue like this, and he was having a lot of fun. Adam felt a bit old for the place, and Tom found it too loud. They enjoyed the freedom of the club and were able to hold each other freely and kiss whenever they wanted. Their hotel room was far too tiny for three adult men, and they almost fell over each other. The bed was almost big enough to accommodate the three of them, but to be honest, it wasn't comfortable. They found it difficult to do much that night, but at least they were close. The next morning, they were chatting in bed and Klaus told them that Hamburg was only 230km away. Adam suggested that Klaus take a train and go visit his family, and Klaus said he would if they wanted him. He tried to call his mother and his sisters, but no one answered. So, he decided to rather return to Amsterdam with his friends. It was good to be in their large hotel room again, and that night they planned to have dinner on a canal barge. After a few beers, they found themselves naked in bed and had some fun sucking and rimming. Later that night Klaus fucked both Tom and Adam. They had one day left in Amsterdam and Tom wanted to visit the Anne Frank Museum. They walked across town and found their way to the museum where they joined a long queue waiting to enter the museum. Tom had read the diary and thought that the place was iconic and that he had to see it. After a long wait, they got in and saw the room behind the bookshelf. Tom was pleased that they got to see the house. That afternoon they were on a plane to Paris where they would spend a night. As the plane approached Paris, the patchwork of fields and small towns that make up the outskirts of the city, gradually gave way to the dense urban landscape. The Seine snakes its way through the heart of Paris, and it's one of the most prominent features from the air. Tom spotted some of Paris's most famous landmarks. The Eiffel Tower, standing tall in the Champ de Mars, was unmistakable. He also caught a glimpse of the Louvre Museum, the Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the Sacré-Cœur Basilica at the top of Montmartre. Tom could see the city's signature Haussmannian buildings with their uniform grey rooftops. The symmetry and elegance of these structures defined the city's skyline. Tom noticed various green spaces and parks scattered throughout the city which provided a contrast to the urban sprawl. Tom observed that Paris was a dense city, and the view from the airplane window showcased the tightly packed streets and buildings that give the city its unique energy and character. The hotel was located very close to Notre Dame, it was a grand Renaissance-type building with a welcoming lobby. The room, which was beautifully furnished was located on the second floor and was very spacious. Tom, Adam and Klaus took a communal shower and got ready to walk the streets of Paris, heading along the Seine to the Eiffel Tower. The tower was illuminated and flashed its welcome. They took an elevator to the viewing deck that had spectacular views in all directions. They took a few selfies and then climbed higher. It was getting chilly, so they made their way back to the hotel. There they enjoyed a French dinner and a couple of bottles of wine. They snuggled together in the bed and kissed. Tom asked Klaus and Adam to have sex with him and they took turns celebrating Tom's hole. They approached him from different sides and fondled his cock and kissed him too. They tried to make it a celebration of Tom. Once things quietened down Adam thought about the two young men in bed with him and how fortunate he was. He admired their youthful beauty in the moonlight streaming through the window. Klaus was asleep already. Tom was still awake as he lay playing with Adam's hair. He really loved Tom, and he told him. The next day they made their way to the airport to return to South Africa.
