Blade Shooting Star Chapter 3 (Brian) Pulled into the driveway of the Likes home. It was a beautiful home. It was big but not as big as his. He had forgotten just how nice it was even though he had been here just over a week ago. Brian had dreams of Logan Likes for the last several nights and not all of them were sexual. Like the dream he had last night, Brian was on stage playing guitar and singing one of the new songs he had written and Logan was singing the lead while he was singing the harmony with his two brothers and a full band behind them. Brian could not get the song out of his head. Brian got out of his car and went to the door and rang the doorbell. Brian had not noticed that the family car was missing. But he did hear noise inside the house. It sounded like someone playing guitar and drums. They must not have heard him so he rang the doorbell the first time. So, he waited for the music to stop and then rang it again. Brian could hear someone walking towards the door. He stepped back when the door opened and a surprised little boy looked up at him. "Hi, um, is your mother home?" Brian asked the boy. Brian tried to remember what the boy's name was but he could not remember. "No, she took my brother in to town for his piano lessons. She should be back in about twenty minutes." Cody was still in awe at who was standing at the door. "Logan?" Brian asked. "Yeah, he has piano lessons every Tuesday and Thursdays. I have them on Wednesdays and Fridays and my other brother has them on Mondays and Wednesdays." Cody tried to explain. thank gawd, Peter came to Brian's rescue. He knew Cody would talk his ears of if you let him. "They should be back in a little while." Peter told Brian. "Would you like to come in and wait for them. Mom won't mind and I know dad won't care either." Cody said as he opened the door to let Brian in. "I don't know if I should." Brian said standing outside the doorway. Just then Bob's pickup pulled up into the driveway and right behind Brian's car. Cody ran out to greet his father as Brian stood there and admired the cute boy's butt. Smiling, Bob got out of his pickup and hugged his young son. "I didn't know you were coming home." Cody said as Bob carried him up to the house. "Your mother forgot to pack my lunch today and when I called, she said she had left some sandwich's and salad for me in the fridge. I hope you two did not eat it all." Bob said jokingly. "Good morning Mr. Likes." Brian said as he approached Bob who was still carrying his young son. "Good morning, it is nice to see you again." Bob said as he put his son down and shook Brian's hand. "What brings you over?" "I stopped by to talk to your wife and to see how Logan is doing. I have not heard from him yet and was wondering if he was doing ok." Brian said trying to explain why he was at the house. "Chrissy is at the school and Logan is at piano lessons. But they should be back soon. So, what did you want to talk to my wife about?" Bob asked. "Well actually I want to talk to both of you really. I have a nice studio over at my house and would like the boys to recreate the song that they posted on You tube. Only this time making a better video." Brian told Bob and his two sons. All three of them looked shock at hearing Brians proposal. Never in their dreams would they have thought a big music star like Brian Cox would ask something like that. "I, I, I don't know what to say. Uhm, I guess that we will all have to talk it over before we can give and answer." Bob said as he looked at his two excited sons. Bob realized that they would be crazy not to except Brians offer but he still had to talk to his wife. Brian figured as much but he also wanted to hear those three boys play together. Even though the quality of the video they had online was not good, the vocals and musicianship were outstanding. "Say, Lets go into the house. I have to eat lunch and then get back to work. But we can still talk about it before my wife gets home." Bob said. He could also see the excitement in his two sons' eyes at the proposition. "Sure, if you don't mind?" Brian said. So, the four of them went into the house and sat down and had a nice little chat over sandwiches and Potatoe salad. They sat ate and talked, mostly about where Brian had been during his travels back in the day. Peter would ask from time to time about certain songs and how Brian came up with lyrics or the music. Brian told him that sometimes they just come to him and other times it would take hours, days or sometimes months. Many times, spending just as long recording them in the studio. While Brian talked about his past, he was also thinking about what the boys could do with the new songs he had written. He knew it would be out of place for him to perform songs with a Christian overtone. He also thought about why he would even write songs like that. It had been years since he had even been to church. So, why now? He thought. Maybe it was meeting Logan and his family. They were really, the basic real American family. Little did he know. "Do you want to play with us?" Cody asked. Three things came to Brian's mind and it was not playing music with the boys. Brian was thinking about what it would be like to have three naked boys in bed with him. At the same time the same thought was going through Cody's mind. But his brothers were not in that thought. "Sure, if your father does not mind?" Brian said looking at Bob. Bob smiled. "Sure, if you don't mind? My wife should be home in the next ten minutes." Bob said then got up and went up to his room and came back down with a guitar case in his hand. "Here, you can use this. I have had it for a few years and only take it out when I feel like jamming with the boys." Bob said as he handed the guitar case to Brian. "I got to get back to work. You guys be nice to our guest. Mom should be home soon with Logan." Bob told his two sons before he headed back to work. Cody and Peter showed Brian to the music room. While the boys got ready Brian set the guitar case down and opened it. His eyes popped open when he saw what was inside. He had only seen one other 1968 Gibson Les Paul Gold top before and that was in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland Ohio. The other one was on display at Gregg Allman's house, which was once owned by his brother Duane Allman. Brian picked it up and took a closer look and it was a work of art. Brian looked around and was just as surprised by the Marshall IMHO amplifier the boys were using. Bob must make good money to be able to have equipment like this. It was almost nicer than what he had at home. Brian had several Gibson Les Paul's and a few Fender guitars, amps and studio equipment. Brian had the sound system built just the way he wanted it. "What do you want to play?" Peter asked. "Do you know any Green day songs?" Brian asked. "We know Basket case." Peter told Brian. Brian smiled when he heard the boys knew the song. He had played it many times in concert and had also played it with Billie Joel Armstrong on a few occasions. Brain had met the band back in 2010 in Germany. Had even gone on stage and played with the band as a guest performer. Brian had a great time. Billie Joe Armstrong would later return the performance. "Great let's play it." Brian told the boys. Brian started out playing and singing. "Do you have the time to listen to me whine About nothing and everything all at once I am one of those Melodramatic fools Neurotic to the bone No doubt about it Sometimes I give myself the creeps Sometimes my mind plays tricks on me It all keeps adding up I think I'm cracking up Am I just paranoid? Or am I just stoned" Brian sang. The boys then joined in. Brian was surprised at how well both boys played. Their timing and playing were right on par with the song even their harmonies matched with Brian's lead. *** Chrissy stopped at the store and picked up groceries. As she was heading over to Miss. Hamal's house to pick up Logan her phone rang. She pulled over and answered. It was her husband Bob. He let her know that Brian Cox was at the house and that he and the boys were playing music. Bob also asked her not to tell Logan till they got to the house. She agreed and was smiling as she said goodbye to her husband. Chrissy with a smile on her face then made her way to pick up her son. "How were your piano lessons?" Chrissy asked as they headed across town to get back home. "Can we get something to eat?" Logan asked. "I have sandwiches and salads at home." Chrissy told her son. She wanted to keep Brian's visit a secret until they got home. "Ah, I was hoping we could stop at Subway or something like that." Logan said. Chrissy decided she would treat Logan to what he wanted. She knew Logan would probably be too excited to eat at home. So, they pulled into the local Subway and grabbed several large footlong sandwiches. She also grabbed some chips and sodas. Then headed over to Boyers groceries to pick up some salads. Then the two of them headed home. The Likes home is five minutes from Wilton, but Chrissy took the long way home. When they did finally reach the house, Chrissy put Logan to work helping her carry the groceries into the house. They could hear the music coming from the music room. But Logan continued to help his mother bring the groceries into the house. Once he finished, he went to see who his brothers were playing with. He knew someone was playing guitar and he knew it wasn't his father. He also knew it wasn't their friend Paul, who sometimes comes over to play because whoever was playing was way better than Paul. There was only one other person Logan could think would come over and play and that was Blair. Blair was good and had been in a few bands. Blair was the same age as his brother Peter and was a really good guitar player. He even had his own band called Hotline. But Logan remembered he was out of town at a music camp. That guy could play any instrument from what Logan could remember. Blair played the flute, bass, piano, keyboards, sax and French horn. If there was any guy Logan would love to have in a band it was him. When Logan finally reached the music room his eyes popped open. There before him stood his idol playing with his two brothers. Logan stood there and listened. They were playing "YYZ by Rush" Logan had never heard Cody play the drums like he was doing now and Peter was amazing on bass. When they finished playing Cody stood up. "Logan, look Brian came over." The young boy said excitedly "Wow, that sounded so good. I wish I could play guitar like that." Logan said. "Well, it took me a while. It helped that Alex Lifeson showed me some tricks." Brian said as Logan walked closer. Logan was looking at the guitar Brian was playing. "Wow, dad has a guitar just like that one." he said admiring the guitar Brian was holding. Brian laughed and said. "It's your dads. He is letting me use it this afternoon. Damn this is a nice guitar. Do you think your dad would sell it to me?" Brian asked. All three boys knew the answer to that question. Their dad would never part with it, he had bought it back when he was in college and has taken really good care of it and Brian could tell. "You would have to ask dad. He loves that guitar and we were surprised he even let you use it. He usually pulls out his Fender Stratocaster. He says it has an edger sound when played with the fender amps. The Gibson has a mellow sound, he also has a Rickenbacker but he never uses that one. It was given to him by a good friend and dad says he is just taking care of it until he comes home." Peter told Brian. Brian would find out later that the Rickenbacker belong to a friend who was in prison and when they were younger the two played in a band together. It was also worth a lot of money, so he does not let anyone touch that guitar. Logan went over to the corner where his Ibanez Joe Satriani JS2480 electric guitar was sitting. Brian was impressed with the instruments the boys were playing. It clearly showed that the parents cared about what the boys used to make their music. Even the Yamaha Baby Grand Piano they were using was top of the line. Brian figured Bob and Chrissy made good money working for the county and the high school. What Brian didn't know was that Chrissy Likes was the daughter of Robert Hynde, who was one of the minority owners of the Minnesota Vikings football team. He was considered one of the richest men in Minnesota. Bob had met her in college and started to date her in his Senior year at the University of Minnesota and were married after they graduated. Bob went to graduate school while Chrissy finished her master in computer science teaching degree. Neither were originally from Wilton; Bob was from Benton Minnesota and Chrissy was from Mankato. Robert Hynde started out as a music producer in Boston, Mass then branched off into music technology with his friend Tom Scholz of the rock band Boston. Both Tom and Robert opened a factory and music store in Mankato. Robert Hynde continue to produce music with Epic Records, Warner Brothers and Sony Records. Brian would later find out that the boy's grandfather had been one of the first producers to work with him on his first album, which sold over five million albums. "Dude, is that Satriani?" Brian asked knowing full well it was. He had the same guitar at home. "Yeah, my grandpa got it for me for Christmas. He also had Joe Satriani sign it for me." he told Brian. "Wow, that is so cool." Brian said as he looked at the boy's guitar. "Let's hear you play." Logan plugged his guitar in and began to play "Cliffs of Dover by Eric Johnson" Brian closed his eyes as he listened to Logan. Then at two minutes into the song Cody and Peter joined in. Brian had to open his eyes amazed at what he was hearing. Brian had heard other bands try to copy Eric Johnson and totally destroy the song. But what Brian was hearing was amazing, he knew if he closed his eyes again and listened, he could imagine himself listening to Eric Johnson in concert. When the boys finished Brian praised them for their performance. Chrissy Came in a few minutes later with some lemonade and sandwiches. "You guys just keep getting better and better. Cliffs of Dover sounded great. Did I ever tell you I got to hear Eric Johnson in concert? He would be proud to hear you boys play that." she said. That actually gave Brian an idea. YouTube had a video of Eric Johnson playing in concert live at Austin Texas and he wanted to try and copy that performance right here in Wilton. He knew the perfect spot to video tape the performance. Sure, it would not have the Capital building in the background, but that was not the purpose of the video. It was meant to highlight the great guitar playing and the song. "What other songs do you know how to play?" Brian asked. Instead of telling Brian the song they practice they gave him a list of songs that actually blew his mind. Eruption/You really got me Van Halen Canon in D by the German Baroque composer Johann Pachelbel but for the guitar, bass and drums. Crazy train Ozzy Osbourne and Randy Rhodes Helter Skelter The Beatles Round about by Yes Killing in the name by Rage Against the Machine Classical Gas Masson Williams and the list went on. Brian couldn't believe the many differences in their song choices from classical to heavy metal rock. "Why did you choose The Beatles Helter Skelter?" Cody was the one who spoke up. "Ringo Star's drumming on the song was great and it is one of the first heavy metal songs. It has a great beat and brings out the best beat to the forefront. Plus, I like Paul McCartney and his vocals are great. "Who chose Canon in D?" Brian asked. Both Peter and Logan raised their hands. "We heard someone do a rock version of the song on YouTube and wanted to try and play it ourselves." The boys told Brian. "Can I hear you play it." Brian asked. Cody got up and went to the piano and began to play the intro to the song. Brian listened to Cody play and was surprised when Peter started to play a standup bass with a bow. Brian did not notice the standup bass and had no idea where Peter had pulled it from. As soon as Logan began to play Cody got up from the piano and moved to the drums and soon all three boys were fully into the song. Brian was amazed at the talent of these three boys. When they finished playing Brian praised their abilities. Logan was much better guitar player than he implied. Brian then joined them in Round About by Yes and was just as surprised at how well all three boys could sing and harmonize. Logan's Guitar playing was spot on. These boys have been playing together for a very long time. He could tell by how tight their playing was that they were very talented. After they finished the last song, Brian said he had to get going. What was supposed to be a five-minute stop had turned into a 4-hour jam session. Brian had also made up his mind that he was going to invite the boys over for a afternoon of jamming and possibly a recording session. Brian knew two things he wanted the boys to remake their video that was on YouTube, and then he also wanted to produce a recording of the boys doing Cliffs of Dover along with a video. But before he left, he signed Cody's tee-shirt and a cd cover for Logan. Peter asked Brian if he would sign a poster for him but he didn't have it yet. *** Julia had dinner waiting as Brian walked in the door. "So, how was your day?" Julia asked as Brian sat down to eat. "Well, I went over to the Likes home to say hi to my young fan. But he was not home at the time so, I jammed with the two brothers and found out just how good those boys can play. Hell, Julia they are better than most musicians I have played with in the past." Brian told his house keeper. "Well, Paul called and he wants you to call him back in the morning." Julia told him. "Did he say what he wanted to talk about?" Brian asked. "Not really, he said something had come up, but he said to just call him in the morning." Julie told him as she served Brian her home-made spaghetti and meatballs. Brian loved Julie's cooking plus she made a good secretary and home maker. Brian has never complained about her cooking or her house work. After Brian finished eating Julie wrapped up the rest of the food and told Brian where she put it in the refrigerator in case Brian got hungry later on. Brian was actually tired and decided to head to bed early. *** All three boys were so excited that they got to spend the day with Brian Cox. Logan was jealous that his two-brothers got to spend more time with his favorite Artist. But then he remembers he got to spend the whole flight back to Minnesota with Brian. Bob and Chrissy decided to take the boys out for supper at the local Burger barn. After supper the boys went back in the music room and played till their mom came in and told them to go to bed. "Wow, that was so fun today." Cody said as they gathered in the bathroom only in their underwear and began to brush their teeth. "I was more surprised that dad let Brian use his Gibson guitar." Peter said. "Yeah, he never lets anyone touch that thing." Logan said. "I asked him once and he told me it was for looks. I think it is worth a lot of money. But I was still surprised when he brought it out for Brian to play." Logan said in agreement. "Guys, I am going to take a shower." Cody said as he dropped his shorts. Both Logan and Peter looked at their little brother in the mirror. Logan smiled and Peter looked a little surprised. It had been a while since he had seen Cody naked and his growth in a certain place was more than what he was when he was that age. When they finished brushing their teeth, they both headed back to their bedrooms. Logan stripped down and crawled into bed. With all that was going through his mind he was having a hard time falling asleep. He was excited that Coach Holand wanted him to come to the wrestling camp. He had dreamed of being part of the Wilton Wildcat championship team. Then to top it off after piano lessons he got to meet his favorite rock star and play with him in his own home. Logan wasn't sure what had turned him on the most, the thought of wrestling with guys his own age or sexy Brian Cox. Brian had been a jackoff fantasy for the last three months, when he discovered it with a friend at the twelve and under wrestling championships. Logan laid in bed stroking his hard penis while thinking back to watching Brian play guitar. *** Brian woke with a start and sat up in bed. Once again, he had soiled his sheets, only this time it was not Logan in his dreams or any of his brothers. Sure, they were all cute and very sexy looking but that had not caused him to ejaculate. It was the music, yes, the music and it wasn't the hard driving hard rock music he was used to playing. That is what was confusing him. The music in his dream was contemporary Christian rock music. But that wasn't all it was the audience manly made up of thousands of young boys and girls. But what had caused him to cum was how beautiful all the boys were singing with the band. Brian got up out of bed and began to pull the sheets and bedspread from the king size bed. Once that was done, he headed downstairs and threw the soiled sheets in the washer and started the cycle. Then went into the kitchen to get something to drink. Brian then began to think about his dream, why young hot teens he had never really been interested in them before. So, why now? Brian sat down with his drink and slowly sipped his drink. Brian looked at the clock on the wall. It read 3:45 a.m Brian shook his head and took a drink of his milk. It was not often that Brian drinks milk but he was hoping that it would help him get back to sleep. Brian sat there thinking about what had happened the day before. He sat there amazed at what he had heard. All three of those boys were extremely talented. The video they posted on YouTube did nothing to show how talented they really were. He knew he had to have them rerecord his song. Plus, he had to have them record "Cliffs of Dover." He had made up his mind and would call Paul his manager in the morning. Brian got up and headed into the studio and sat down at the piano. Not before too long he had written two more songs. Just thinking about those three boys did something to him, they made the music flow through his fingers. No one has inspired him as much as the boys have done. The songs that were flowing from him were inspirational and moving. They could easily be hit songs. After finishing the last song, he decided to go back to bed. Hopefully he would be able to sleep through the rest of the night. *** Logan woke with a morning hard-on, slowly he stroked it under his bed spread. He looked up at the poster of Brian Cox just on the other side of his bed. But it wasn't Brian he was thinking about at the moment. It was his friend Blair. Logan wasn't sure why he was thinking about him at this time. He was cute and very talented. He had only seen Blair naked once and that was a long time ago. Okay, maybe not that long ago because he was only twelve years old. Sure, the boy was only a few months older than him, but if he was going to be dreaming about someone, he was glad it was Blair. Logan was jealous at just how talented his friend was. If he and his brothers needed a fourth member for the band it would be Blair. Logan closed his eyes and took long nice strokes on his five and a half inches. Soon Logan was shooting his sperm from his penis sure there wasn't a lot of sperm but it still would have been enough to get a girl pregnant if he were to like girls. Once he finished, he grabbed a few tissues and cleaned himself up and then went to the bathroom. Cody was already in the bathroom taking a piss. Logan smiled when he saw his 9-year-old brother standing there trying to take a pee with his morning hard-on. "Hey, it would be easier to take a pee in the shower that way you can get yourself clean while letting it run free." Logan told his little brother. "EW, that is gross." Cody said with a giggle in his voice. To tell the truth he has done that several times. He was going to do it but he didn't get a chance to because he heard someone moving around. He had also planned to jerkoff in the shower but it looked like it was going to be too late for that too. "It's not gross, guys at school do it all the time. Plus, the water goes into the same place as the toilet." Logan told his little brother. Actually, Logan did think that was gross. But he had seen other guys do it at the swimming pool. Hell, he knew of guys who had peed in the swimming pool and that is really gross. But he didn't want to think about that now. "Well I am not going to do that when I get in high school. So, let's just stop talking about it. I need to get ready I have piano lessons at nine." Cody informed his brother. Logan knew the schedule. It was like this every day or at least every other day. Both Cody and Peter had lessons, it has been this way for a while now. Cody at nine and Peter at ten their mom would drop Cody off first then her and Peter would go shopping. Even though they usually didn't buy anything. Logan had a few things to do himself today. He was planning on sitting down and continue working on the song he was writing. Mrs. Hamal said she really like the song, even though he did not have any lyrics for the song. But did he really need lyrics. There are some great songs out there that don't have any. Logan watched as his younger brother stripped the rest of his clothes off and turned on the shower. Logan just smiled to himself seeing his not so shy brother strut around the bathroom with nothing on grabbing the shampoo and body soap. Just a few years ago Logan would be helping Cody with his morning shower. Cody has really grown since then. Logan wondered what Cody would look like in a couple years. *** Brian could smell the bacon from his room. Julie must have known he had been up later than normal. Because when Brian looked at the clock, he noticed it was close to eleven a.m. Brian got out of bed and grabbed a pair of underwear. Usually he would just go down naked, but this morning Brian felt the need to be dress in something other than his birthday suit. "Good morning Mr. Cox." Julie said as Brian entered the room. The look on Julie's face caused Brian to giggle a little. "Good morning to you. what's with the face." Brian said as he sat down at the table. "Well, I am just a little surprised. Normally you are not dress so casually. Hell, most times you are not dress so it is a little surprising." Julie said with a little laugh. "I just thought I would give you a break from seeing all my awesomeness." Brian said with a chuckle. "My late husband had more awesomeness than you will ever know." Julie said with a laugh of her own. She set the scrambled eggs, French toast and bacon on the center counter or what Julie like to call the breakfast lunch and dinner counter. It was also the space she like to use to pay all the bills, make list for food, work on Brian's schedules and to sit and relax and watch the big TV in the living room. It really was part of the center piece in the house. It was also a great spot to sit and listen to Brian play when he is in the studio playing. "Julie, do you think you could do me a favor and give Paul a call? I need to talk to him about a few things." Brian asked. He knew Julie would do it, that was part of her job. He paid Julie really well for what she does for him. Brian would be lost without her. "Yeah, I will give him a call. I was planning on calling him anyway. Tommy wants to know if he can get into the studio this weekend. He has a project he is working on at college." Julie told Brian. Tommy is Julie's youngest son. He is a first-year student at UCLA in the music studies program. His plan for the future is to become a music engineer and producer. Brian allowed Tommy to sit in on some of his recordings at his home studio. Little Tommy was also a really good musician. Brian even let him play on a few songs on his last Album, CD, and MP3. Brian began to wonder if maybe Tommy would like to come on as a producer for the Likes boys. "Hey, Julie when is the next time you are going to talk to Tommy?" "Well, I am supposed to call him after I talk to Paul." Julie said as she began to clean up in the kitchen while Brian ate his breakfast. "Tell him to give me a call. I have a couple questions I want to ask him." Brian said as he put another fork full of eggs into his mouth. "Okay, it probably won't be till this afternoon." Julie said. Once Brian finished eating, he got up and took his dishes to the sink where he rinsed them off and handed them to Julie who put them in the dishwasher. Brian headed upstairs to his bedroom. He dug through his clothes looking for something nice to wear. He had plans to head into town and talk to a few people at city hall. He was looking to get the permits he would need. Then he was going to head over to Buster's the local media company. He had used them a couple of times. Brian figured it was going to be a busy day and if everything worked out it could be an exciting summer. Later he would head back to his studio and practice for the upcoming tour.
