Blade Strike Two Chapter 30 Midwest Region Wilton Cougars verses Fairfield Connecticut New England Region American little league All-stars. Adian was warming up with Eric to make sure his arm would be okay for the game. Blake kept his eyes on Adian to make sure that Adian would be okay. Blake called the boys in and announced the lineup for the game. He also gave the boys a pep talk. "Okay, guys. today is going to be a tight one. You are going to be facing one of the top pitchers in this tournament. He pitched two shutout games in regionals but he did give up a few walks and a few hits. But his problem is that he is going to be facing the toughest hitting team. You guys have an advantage over their team and that is you guys have faced someone tougher than he actually has. We have a pitcher that is twice as good as he is. Remember you guys are the best and the toughest team they will ever see. Now let's go and win this game. `` The boys gave a loud cheer Then Bobby called out. "Let's go cougars, Let's go." Soon all the boys were chanting as they grabbed their stuff and headed over to the stadium. Once there Blake had the boy sit down and he went over the lineup. Bobby Olson pitcher Freddy Olson right field RJ Johnson Left field Adian Parks Third base Kristopher Heinze shortstop JD Smith center field Eric Hooper second base Jose Livia catcher Peter Philips first base. Blake wanted to see if making some changes in the batting order would help bring more runs in if they could be able to get the bat on the ball. Once again Adian had won the toss and they chose to be the home team. The Cougars sat and watched as the Connecticut All-stars took a quick infield. They didn't get to see the pitcher throw but the boy on the mound was huge. Blake figured the boy to be somewhere between five feet ten inches to six feet. Once they finished the Cougars took the field. Bobby went through his warmup with Jose while Ben hit outfield fly's and the boys warmed up in the infield. The first batter for Fairfield squared to bunt on the first pitch. But the boy fouled it off down the third base line. Adian dove catching the ball before it even hit the ground. When Ryo and Miki saw what Adian had done they went wild. What was surprising to many of the Wilton fans was that Adian had a Japanese cheering section other than Ryo and Miki. Bobby step to the pitcher's mound and watched as the next batter stepped to the plate. Bobby thought the pitcher was tall. The boy who stepped to the plate must have been six two. Bobby realized he had a big strike zone to work with so he went to work. Blake watched as Bobby went to work to take down the giant with five pitches. The next Batter hit a pop fly to center field and JD fielded the ball with ease. Bobby was nervous since he would be the first to face the Fairfield six-footer. Bobby is the shortest guy on the team since Bryan, Aaron and himself were the youngest guys on the team and Bobby was the shortest on the team. He only stands four feet nine inches. He was lucky all the guys on the team never teased him. But he knew he would grow in the next couple of years all you had to do was look at his brother. Freddy stood five feet six inches and seemed to be growing every day. Bobby knew he had an advantage being the first to be up to bat. With his small strike zone it will be difficult for the pitcher to strike him out. Bobby stepped up to the plate after looking down the third base line to see what he was supposed to do. Ben had given the signal for Bobby to swing away. Bobby stepped in and got set. Adian watched as Bobby walked to first base. His chance to bat had just improved to 100%. Freddy was next to bat, Adian knew the two brothers on base percentage was just as high as his. Freddy squared around and the Fairfield moved up looking for the bunt. As the pitcher released the ball Bobby was on his way to second base. "Safe." the umpire called as Bobby slid under the tag. The pitch was called a strike. Freddy stepped out and looked for the signal from Ben. He was given the sign to swing away. Freddy stepped back in and ready himself for the next pitch. Freddy watched as the next pitch came in high for ball one. "Furedi ni ikou, Yukō" (let's go Freddy, let's go.") Ryo and Miki chanted, soon they had they Japanese section that was at their game earlier cheering for the Cougars. With the count 1 ball and one strike Freddy stepped in once more. Once more Freddy squared around, but this time the Fairfield team stayed in their position. Freddy must have cause just enough of a scare that he might bunt, because the pitcher threw the ball outside and low for ball two. Bobby took just enough a lead to cause the catcher to throw the ball down to second base but he was in well under the tag. Freddy stepped to the plate and squared again. This time the Fairfield team moved up slightly. But the pitcher was still weary of Freddy and pitched another ball to the outside and low. Once again, the catcher threw the ball down to second base and Bobby once again made it back to the base well before the tag. This must have given Ben an idea. He looked over to Blake and gave Bobby and Freddy the signal to bunt and steal. The two brothers shook their heads knowing what Ben wanted them to do. As the pitcher release the ball Freddy squared to bunt and Bobby took off for third. The trick worked the ball was high and outside for ball four. The catcher threw the ball to third and Freddy ran to first base but did not stop there. He kept going to second which confused the Fairfield third baseman. The young third baseman threw the ball to first base not knowing that Bobby would run for home. He was well under the tag for the Cougars first run of the game. Freddy didn't stop at first base and continued on to second and was held there by Ben. RJ was up next to bat. He watched as Ben gave the swing away, then stepped to the batter's box. The pitcher must have been shaking up from Freddy's at bat because he pitched four straight ball to walk RJ. Blake figured the boy might be nervous because the next batter he would be facing would be Adian. The ESPN guys had done some research on Adian and reported on ESPN Little League World series wrap up that Adian had one hundred and five at bats was walked twenty-five time and has had a hit, double, triple or homerun and has yet to be struck out and it was all the buzz. Adian stepped up and looked down the third base line Ben gave the signal for him to swing away. Adian stepped in and got set. He watched as the first pitch came in for strike one. It was a nice pitch right down the middle and it was fast. He had seen faster pitches come off the batting machine, so, he knew he would be able to hit it. Adian stepped out and knocked the dirt from his shoes then stepped in once more. He watched as the pitch left the pitchers hand, it was a bit high so he laid off the pitch. But the umpire calls it a strike. Now with no balls and two strikes, Adian settled in and watched as the pitcher went through his motions. ting Adian tucked his head and ran to first. He knew he had made good contact with the ball. It had to be at least a double as John Parsons waved him around to second, but when he looked up at Ben, he noticed him waving him around to third as he approached Ben kept motioning him to go to home. He had hit another homerun. This was his second homerun at the Little League World Series. Ryo and Miki were holding their breath as they watched the ball sail over the centerfield fence. Neither boy could take their eyes off of Adian as he ran the bases. It wasn't till he reached third base that he slowed down. That they realized that they were clinging to each other. When they let go, they just looked at each other and smiled then gave each other a high five. Freddy and RJ met Adian as he came to home plate and soon after the entire team was the mobbing him. Out on the field the Pitcher just stared along with the other players on the Fairfield All-star baseball team. They had never seen a player like Adian before. The boy just oozed confidents, poise and strength. When everything calmed down at home plate, they were faced with another boy who showed the same poise. Kristopher was not going to be out done by his best friend. He stepped up to the plate and watched as the Fairfield pitcher went through his motions and just like Adian watched the first pitch go by. * Kristopher loved baseball and as long as he could remember he had wanted to play. When he was younger, he would beg his father or mother to play catch with him. At the age of five he would go outside on his own and would hit the ball off the tee his father had bought for him on his birthday. As he got older, he would go and play catch by throwing the ball from the top of the garage pretending it was a fly ball hit by a batter. He liked doing that because it would make him try to judge when the ball would be hit. He was really happy when his dad suggested to him to try out for a traveling team at the age of eight. He was passed by all the coaches but one, Coach Blair. His parents had known about coach Blair's past and were worried that the man might take advantage of their young son. But once they talk to the man, they decided to let their son play. Kristopher liked coach because he worked with him and the other boys on the basic skills, they would need to be a championship team. When Kristopher turned ten Coach Blair retired and passed Kristopher on to Blake Holand. The first year playing for Blake was once again a learning experience. He was coaching his youngest cousin Billy Holand, who plays second base. That year their baseball team went to state but only came in at third place. That was also the year that Adian came into his life. Kristopher met Adian on the first day of school. He liked the boy the minute they met him. They sat next to each other in class in the fifth grade. Adian was smart and even helped Kristopher with his homework all through the year. It was the first time He had ever gotten A's in all of his classes. Kristopher helped Adian out as well. They would hang out together at each other's houses, they would play games together and Kristopher also taught him how to play baseball. Not that Adian would need to be taught he was a natural right from the start. * Kristopher stepped in looked at the pitcher and got set. Kristopher swung and fouled the ball off into the right field bleachers. Kristopher stepped out and looked over his shoulder and smiled. He could see his team mates still excited over Adian's homerun. He stepped back in awaited the Fairfield pitcher to throw his next pitch. This time the pitch was high and to the outside. Kristopher figured they were trying to work the count instead of trying to strike him out. with the count now two ball and two strikes. Ryo and Miki were on their feet again. They had seen the batter at the first game. They once again started up their cheer once more. They got the Japanese fans going once more. John Holand looked around as he watched Kristopher's at bat. He was surprised at how many people were there to watch the game. He saw the Japanese fans cheering on the Wilton team. While on the other side of the field he could hear the Fairfield fans cheering on their team. Ting John looked back to the field and watched the ball fly out into the outfield. The Fairfield boys never had a chance. The Cougar's hitting was on fire. JD stepped up to bat and went down on three strikes. Eric then went in and got a nice double. John could tell that The Fairfield pitcher was struggling with his pitches. From what John was told at the beginning of game, Wilton was going to have a dogfight till the end of the game. With one out a man on second base Jose stepped up to bat. Jose stepped up to the plate after looking down at Ben. Jose watched as the pitcher went into his windup. Before Jose stepped onto the field Blake had pulled him over and told him if he like the first pitch to go ahead and take a swing. The reason Blake had suggested this was because, so far, the Fairfield pitcher has pitched a strike for the first six players to face him. Ting Jose tucked his head and ran for first base. John signaled him to holdup. But Jose had another idea and headed to second. The reason he kept going was because he notices the right fielder had misjudged the ball and bounce behind him. But he did not notice the centerfielder backing the right fielder out. He heard Ben telling him to side but once more he ignored the coach and tried to go in standing up and was thrown out at second. Eric scored on the hit and the cougars were now up six to nothing. Peter was next to bat and went down swinging to end the first inning. Carlos went out to warm Bobby up while Jose changed into his catcher's gear. Blake was also talking to him while he dressed. Jose felt bad for not listening to the coaches. Even though his English was good sometimes he did not understand some things the coaches talked about. English is not his first language. Bobby would be facing the Fairfield number four hitter. He had watched him earlier taking batting practice and was worried. The Fairfield hitter was hitting everything that was thrown to him. Bobby thought he was a lot like Adian as a hitter. Jose was finally dressed and Bobby warmed up with him. "Play Ball!!" the umpire called out. Bobby stepped up to the pitcher's mound and went into his windup then release his pitch. For a ten-year-old pitcher. He was one of the best. Only one other pitcher on the cougar team that was better than him was Adian and he was almost two years older than Bobby. Ting Bobby watched as the ball was hit it looked like it was going to be a well hit ball, but out of nowhere Kristopher jumped and grabbed away a possible double. It was then he remembered what Coach Holand told him. (Don't worry about them hitting the ball. You have great ballplayers behind you.) After seeing the great play by Kristopher, he calmed down and went to work. *** "This was an unexpected game. This Midwest team from Minnesota is looking to be a power house team. They totally shut down the New England region hitting. Connecticut had been undefeated and the Minnesota team made them look like they beginning team." the announcer said. Blake was just surprised at how well his little Ten-year old did pitching. He was planning on going with Kristopher as the pitcher at the top of the fourth, but with a nine to nothing lead going into the top of the fourth. Blake decided to take a chance with his other ten-year-old player. Bryan Mars went in striking out the first two batters and caused the fourth batter to fly out to centerfield. Adian ended the game at the bottom of the fourth with a two rum home to end the game. Ryo and Miki were yelling their heads off as they watched Adian hit his second homerun. They rushed down to the Wilton dugout side to greet Adian once he came out. Once again Blake had Ben take the boys out, so they wouldn't be mobbed by the sports reporter. Blake met with the reporters and told them that they would get to talk to the boys in the morning. Ben took the boys back to the room they use for their meetings. "Good Job out there today guys. Blake wants to talk to you before you can go clean up." Ben told the boys then let the boys talk amongst themselves. Most of the talk was about Adian's to homeruns, Adian's catch of the foul ball and Kristopher's catch at shortstop and a great diving catch by Eric to end the fourth inning. When Blake entered the room, he told the boys they had done a great job playing. Then told the boys they had the day off tomorrow. Then told them he would hold batting practice for anyone who wanted to practice their hitting. Then dismissed the boys. Adian and Aaron headed up to their rooms. Adian went to his room and closed his door. He was pulling off his shoes when a knock came at his door. "Come in." He called out as he pulled his shoe off. The door opened and Ryo stuck his head inside the door. "Tashikadesu ka?" (Are you sure?) Ryo said as he looked at Adian sitting on his bed. "Yes, Ryo come in." Adian told the young Japanese ballplayer. It was then that he noticed Ryo was alone. "Where is Miki?" Adian asked as Ryo entered the room. "He went down to the game room with Satou and Ito. I told him I was going to catch up on my homework." Ryo told his new friend. Ryo did have school work to do but he did not need to have it done till Friday afternoon. "You to? Our coach had our teachers give us our school work too. But I have most of my work done already." Adian said. "Do you mind if I get changed? I want to clean up before and get something to eat before they close the kitchen." Without waiting for an answer, he began to remove his team jersey. "Sure, if you don't mind if I am here." Ryo said as he watched Adian take off his shirt. He had seen him in his swimsuit at the pool so it did not make any difference to him. But he was not prepared for what was going to happen. "It's no problem." Adian said as he removed the tee-shirt he had on under his jersey. Adian knew Ryo was admiring his body, because he had seen the same look on Aaron's face the many times, he has change in front of him. Ryo's eye's opened as he got a closer look at how well-defined Adian's upper body chest and abs looked. Adian just smiled as he put his hands on his hips and then pushed his thumbs under his waist band then remembered he needed to take off his belt. "Is this really your first year playing baseball?" Ryo asked as he watched Adian take off his belt. "This is my first year playing. But I have been playing with my friend Kristopher since I move to Wilton." Adian explained as he hooked his thumbs in his pants and slid them down. Ryo's eyes almost popped out of his head when he saw the size of Adian's jock and cup. It was bigger than any other one he had ever seen. Adian still had his sliding pants still on under his jock and cup so when he took his jock off, he was not naked. "Hey, I am going to take a quick shower. If you want you can hang around? I shouldn't be too long." Adian told Ryo as he grabbed a towel and walked toward his bathroom. "If it is okay with you, I can wait." Ryo said hoping to see Adian naked. His eyes were transfixed on Adian's groan area. It looked bigger than it did Wednesday when they met at the swimming pool at the hotel. Ryo moved over to the bed while Adian went into the bathroom. Ryo thought he would close the door, but Adian left it open. Ryo couldn't really see into the bathroom, but he could see Adian in the mirror. "Have you had anything to eat yet?" Adian called from the bathroom as he turned on the shower. "Yes, but I was planning to grab a snack before going back to my studies." Ryo said in a voice loud enough for Adian to hear. "Good you can join me and Aaron while we eat." Adian said as he washed his arms and then down his chest. "Which one is Aaron?" Ryo asked. He didn't remember all the cougar players. "He was the one that came in at the top of the fourth for our second baseman." Adian said as he scrubbed between his legs and washed his semi hard penis. He was getting excited at having the cute Japanese boy in his room. Only he didn't want to get hard, because he didn't want to scare his new friend off. Ryo sat on the bed in anticipation of Adian coming out of the bathroom. He noticed when Adian went in the bathroom that he did not set any clothes out or take any underwear with him into the bathroom. Ryo had to adjust himself because his penis was now erect. He was hoping it would go away before Adian returned from the bathroom. Ryo decided he needed to do something to take his mind off from the cute American boy while he waited. So, he proceeded to pick up Adian's clothes off the floor and began to fold them. He could hear Adian humming to himself. After he picked everything up, he went and sat down on the bed. Soon after the shower turned off. Ryo looked into the bathroom mirror but it was fogged up and he could only see the shadow of someone. Soon Adian walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist and a smaller towel covering his head. Adian walked over to his dresser where he had put his clothes and pulled out a pair of boxer briefs and some running shorts and two Wilton tee-shirts. He looked at the tag and he smiled. He turned and walked over to the bed where Ryo was sitting. "Here try this on." Adian said as he handed the tee-shirt to Ryo. "What is this?" Ryo asked looking at the folded shirt. "Look at it." Adian told his young Japanese friend. Ryo unfolded the shirt and looked at it. The shirt read (Wilton Cougars) and the number on the back was number 29 which was Adian's number. "Wow, that is your number." Ryo said as he looked up at Adian. "Yeah, I am not sure if it will fit but you can try it on." Adian told his young Japanese friend. Ryo stood up and tried the shirt on after taking the shirt he was wearing off. Adian had guessed Ryo size and it fit him perfect. "My foster dad had these made up and had me take like ten of them to hand out to the friends I make here, and since you and Miki are my friends. I have decided to give you guys tee-shirts and pins. Ryo went to the big mirror next to the door and looked at himself in the mirror. Without thinking Ryo went over and gave Adian a hug. Adian's towel fell to the floor. Ryo soon realized that he was hugging a naked boy and he was liking it. Adian hug Ryo back and without knowing his penis had grown and was now fully erect. But Adian also noticed he was not the only one. "Thank you Adian I really like the shirt and I really like you too." Ryo said as he looked into Adian's eyes. Both of their faces were really close and all it would take would be for them to purse their lips, and the two boys would be kissing. Ryo wanted to but he was scared that Adian would be grossed out by it. It was then that Ryo took notice of the hard penis pressing against his own hard penis and he liked it. Ryo giggled as he pressed forward for a better feel of his American friends' hard penis. What he really wanted was to see was Adian's hard penis. Adian sensed that Ryo was curious. So, he took the next step and leaned a little closer and lightly kissed the Japanese boy on the lips. Ryo's eyes went wide. He was hoping this would happen and now his dream had come true. When Ryo didn't pull away Adian opened his lips and brushed his tongue up against Ryo's instinctively Ryo opened his mouth and soon the two boys were making out in Adian's room. Ryo had never felt like this before, he liked what was happening to him. He knew he was not interested in girls. Truth is there was only two boy's that Ryo really liked. One was Adian and the other was Miki. But if he were to choose between the two. The one Ryo would like to be doing this with would be Miki. Knock, knock, knock. The two boys broke apart and both looked at the door. "Adian, are you ready yet?" came Aaron's voice from the other side of the door. Adian rushed over to his shorts and pants. "I just got out of the shower. Why don't you go down and I will meet you there." Adian called out to his friend. He looked over to Ryo who was just staring at Adian as he slipped on his shorts. "Okay, don't take too long. the kitchen closes in twenty minutes." Aaron called from the other side of the door. The boys listened as Aaron walked away. Ryo was hoping to continue kissing, but Adian continued to get dressed. "Sorry, I didn't mean to do that?" Adian said as he pulled on a shirt. Ryo looked surprised. In broken English Ryo replied. "You did nothing wrong. I liked it and hope we can do it again." Adian smiled and said. "Hey maybe later, I am starving. I haven't had anything to eat since noon. Plus, we have the next couple of weeks." Adian grabbed Ryo's hand and pulled him toward the door. Ryo made Adian stop and then reached inside his short to Adjust his still hard five and a quarter inch penis. So, it was not so obvious. Adian smile then took Ryo's hand and the two boys made their way down the stairs. Just before they met up with anyone they let go of each other's hands. They headed over to the line and grabbed some food before they close the line down for the night. Adian was hungry and he filled up his plate with roast beef, mash potatoes, carrots and a nice big piece of chocolate cake. Ryo grab two apples and a piece of chocolate cake. Then they grabbed two bottles of milk each and headed over to sit down. Adian looked for Aaron around the room and didn't see him anywhere. Adian was beginning to wonder where he was when he saw him come in with Jose and Carlos. Aaron waved before the boys got in the line to get their food. "What is that you are eating?" Ryo asked as Adian took a bite of his roast beef. Adian was polite and finished eating before he answered. "It is roast beef; these are mashed potatoes and these are carrots." Adian said. Ryo laughed then said. "I know what mashed potatoes and carrots are but it is the meat that I don't understand. I know what beef is but I have never seen it served like that. In Japan our beef is either ground or just in thin pieces and cooked over a grill." Ryo said this in Japanese because he was not sure how to explain it in English. To my readers. (I am going to be writing the Japanese boys answers and comments in English. Writing in Japanese characters and or phonetic spelling is not as easy as it might look. I sometimes get the translation wrong. So, please bear with me. My father was in the military and our family was stationed in Japan) "I wish I could invite you over to my house sometime, because my mom makes the best roast beef. Here, want a taste?" Adian offered a forkful of roast beef. Ryo looked at the fork then back at Adian. He was wondering if he should take a bite of Adian's fork. Then he remembered he had just had his tongue in Adian's mouth not more than fifteen minutes ago. Ryo leaned forward and took the fork in his mouth and slid the roast beef in his mouth. "Mm, that is good." Ryo said. Actually, he really liked it and wanted more. But he was afraid to ask Adian for more. "I will be right back." he said then got up and then made his way back to the lunch line. This time he got a plate of roast beef and carrots. He liked mash potatoes but he did not like anyone else's mash potatoes but his mothers. She would use sweet cream to make hers. Back at the table Aaron, Jose and Carlos joined Adian at the table. "Why did your friend leave?" Jose asked when he saw the Japanese boy get up. He did not notice that he had gone back to get some food. "Oh, he went to grab some food." Adian said as he watched Ryo coming back to the table with a plate of food. "Here he is now." Adian slid over to make room for his new friend. Then in Japanese he introduced his team mates and friends to Ryo. "It is nice to meet you." Ryo said as he stood and bowed which is a sign of respect and regard. All three boys stood and bowed in return. Coach Blake had told the boys if they were to meet any of the boys from Chinese Taipei and Japan, they were to do the same. He went on to tell the boys the meaning of bowing. Ryo sat down as Adian made room for him to sit. Aaron saw this and smile. He could tell Adian really liked this Japanese boy. Hell, even he thought the boy was cute. Adian laughed when he saw what Ryo had on his plate. It was half full of the roast beef and carrots. All five boys then dove into eating. "Are your parents camping nearby?" Adian asked after he finished chewing his food. "Yeah, they got here just before our game on Thursday. Mom said they set up after the game." Jose said then took a bite of his food. "We just came from there." Aaron said smiling at Adian. That explained why Aaron and the two brothers were late getting into line. "Mom and grandma had everyone in bed. They are planning on going into town to do some school shopping with our brothers tomorrow. Or we would have had mom make us some food there. We would go with but we want to see our cousins play tomorrow." Carlos told Adian. "You have cousins here?" Adian asked. "Yeah, they are playing on the Mexican team. Juan and Ardan Livia, they are our mom's sisters' kids and they are twins like us but we are older." Jose said looking at the boys around the table. "You are twins?" Ryo asked. "Yeah, we are fraternal twins." Carlos said "That means we don't really look identical." Jose finished. Both Aaron and Adian laughed they were use to Jose and Carlos finishing each other sentences. Ryo just looked at them questioningly. Ryo didn't know any twins. He knew there were some in his school but Miki and him usually stuck with the guys from the baseball team and the swim team. "What are you doing tomorrow?" Carlos asked Adian. "Mom and Dad are taking my uncle Logan and Scott into town. But I was planning on sleeping in. I really haven't been sleeping to well." Adian told the boys. He wasn't lying, After the first night when he thought of his mother. He had been waking up and was having trouble going back to sleep. Plus, he was used to having Scott sleep with him when he had trouble sleeping. Aaron, Jose and Carlos knew the reason, but there was no way they were going to talk about it. Ben had talk to the boys after the first night when Adian had come in to talk with him. "You can come with us to our cousins' game." Jose suggested. Adian looked at Ryo and then back to Jose and Carlos and told them he would think about it. Once the boys finished eating, they sat and talked about the first two games. Ryo was enjoying the company of these American boys. He kind of wished Miki would have been here with him. But then he would have to explain everything to him in Japanese. Okay maybe not everything since Adian also spoke Japanese. Adian got up and said he was tired and was going to head up to his room. Aaron and the twins said they were going to check out the game room. Ryo and Adian then got up and headed up to their rooms. When they got to their doors they stopped and looked at each other as if they were going to say something. Ryo was hoping Adian would invite him into his room. Adian was looking at Ryo and was hoping that Ryo would invite him into the Japanese boy's room. Ryo was about to say something when Miki and Tora rounded the corner. The young Japanese boy lost his nerve and said goodnight to Adian and then opened his door and went inside. *** Relationships begin Nifty is kind enough to post these stories and could use your help.
