Strike Two
Chapter 5

years, and have enjoyed many of the stories that I consider good, now I'm
just trying to pay it forward.

It's going to be a chapter story, so if you are looking for a quick
toss-off better move onto the next story. Other than that, I sincerely hope
you enjoy my story. Constructive criticism/feedback/comments are duly

"Have you heard how your mom is doing yet?" Scott asked.

"Coach said he would find out for me and let me know after practice. He
said he wants me to concentrate. Then we will go visit her in the morning
because she won't be awake tonight after surgery." Adian told the two
boys. Adian had just pulled his shirt on when both Scott and Eric walked
over and gave him a hug.

Strike two

Chapter 5

Adian thanked both boys for their concern. Adian also realized he had a
true brother in Scott, Not only did he care for him but in two days he had
fallen in love with him. Adian collected the rest of his equipment, then
headed downstairs to meet with coach Holand. Mary was in the kitchen making
a quick snack for everyone, when Adian came downstairs. She insisted that
Adian have something quick to eat before going to practice with Blake. When
Blake showed up Mary even made him join them in the dining room to sit down
and eat. When they finished Adian and Blake headed out to the car. Once
they had everything in the back of the Camaro, they headed over to the
ballfield. When they pulled up there were five young ballplayers waiting
for them. Kris, David, Peter, Carlos and Jose were playing catch warming up
their arms.

Blake smiled knowing that these six boys were going to be the core group of
ballplayers for the team. When they took all of the equipment, they set
everything out and got started taking infield practice. Blake already knew
He was going to have David and Adian warm up as pitcher and catcher. When
he got those two going, Freddy, Bobby and Eric rode up on their
bikes. Blake could not help but smile when he saw Bobby, that little
ballplayer was going to be the core player, like Adian was going to be for
this years team. So, Blake had Peter and Bobby play catch together while he
had Eric and Freddy take over at second base. Soon more of the boys began
to show up as well as Kristen and Miles. Adian smiled and waved at Miles
when he looked at him. Miles waved back.

When Jim Johnson showed up in his squad car with JD, He let Blake know he
could only stay for a little bit. Basically he wanted to talk to Blake
about what was going to be happening with Adian's father. From what he told
Blake, Richard Parks was being held on attempted murder, spousal abuse,
Also all of his assets have been seized by the state of Minnesota awaiting
the outcome of the coming trial. Just as Jim finished, John Parson showed
up with his son Aaron. Jim had to leave but said he would be at the next
full practice. Blake had John work with the boys in the outfield, while he
had Kristen and Miles hitting infield, while Blake worked with the other
boys who were now showing up at practice. Once everyone was together and
working, Blake decided to split the boys up into two teams and once again
have a game against one another. This time he had Adian and Bobby pitching
on the same team, while having RJ Smith and Eric Hooper pitch on the other
team. He also put Kristen on one team and Miles on the other. Blake was so
impressed with how well the pitching was during their little scrimmage. The
scrimmage went well Little Bobby pitched a shut out two inning and Adian
finished with a one hit single that was hit off him by little Bryan Mars,
another one of his ten year old players. But Adian's team won by two runs
both hits coming from Adian who hit two RBI doubles scoring little Bobby
who had walked both times up at bat. At the end of practice Blake once
again called out three boys to help pick up the equipment and put it into
the back of his Camaro. Then he pulled them aside to have a quick talk with
them. Sean Marcus, Peter Philips and Aaron Danvers, who is the adopted son
of John Parsons.

"Hey, guys I just wanted to talk to you and let you know you are doing
good. But I need to see more heart out of you. See how the other boys are
doing. They don't get down on themselves when they make mistakes. If they
make a mistake they get up and try harder. Trust me I am not picking on you
guys, I am just trying to help you become better ballplayers. You just have
to work harder to get better. Take some time to work harder. I am going to
tell you a little secret. There are five boys on this team that go running
every morning. Not only that they are here every afternoon before the
normal practice starts. I also know that there are three more boys that
work with me during the day in a private training. What Blake didn't tell
the three boys was that they were doing weight training for the up coming
AAU wrestling tournament, which was coming up in late July. Blake had
seriously thought about adding Adian to his weight training but thought it
might be to soon now with his mother in the hospital. The three boys he was
working with were, Bryan Mars, Kristopher Heinze and RJ Smith. All three
were very good wrestlers as well as good baseball players.  Mean while
Adian and Miles were talking to each other by the Camaro.

"How is your mother doing?" Miles asked.

"I don't know. She was going into surgery this morning. Coach and I are
going to go see her tonight." Adian told him. Miles could see that Adian
needed a hug. So, he reached over to the cute pre-teen and gave him a hug.

"I wish I could go with you." Miles whispered in his ear. After hearing
Miles say that he squeezed him even harder. Before they separated Adian
gave Miles a quick kiss on the lips.

"I will ask coach, I want my mom to meet you, so, we can hang out
together." Adian said to him. This time it was Miles who gave Adian a
hug. When Blake approached the two boys he smiled. He had caught the Kiss
the two boys exchanged. It was then that Adian asked if Miles could join
them when they went to visit his mother in the hospital. Blake actually
thought that was a good idea. The two boys clearly liked each other. Plus,
it would be good to have a friend with him just in case. So, he agreed and
told miles to ride his bike home and he would pick him up on the way to the
hospital. Meanwhile, Blake took Adian home to his mothers and helped him
unload his equipment then told him he would be right back. Blake needed to
run home to take a shower and get changed.

Adian rushed upstairs to change. When he opened the door he was surprised
to see two naked beautiful boys getting dressed.

"Hey, we are going running want to join us?" Eric asked turning toward
Adian giving him a full view of his semi erect penis. Adian admired what he
was seeing right in front of him. If he had any doubts he was gay before,
he had no doubt in his mind now.

"I would love to but I am going to the hospital to see my mom." Adian said
some what disappointed. So, while both Eric and Scott dressed. He undressed
then headed into the shower. By the time he got out of the shower the guys
were gone. So, he quickly dressed and went down stairs to wait for Blake to
come pick him up. Mary was in the living room with Jake, so Adian joined
them. While he played with Jake he could see the boy begin to fill his
diaper. Mary laughed as she saw the look on Adian's face when she asked him
to change his diaper. Adian had never changed a diaper in his life. So,
Mary showed him how to change Jake. Once he finished, Blake showed up to
take Adian to the hospital. Miles was already in the back seat of Blake's
Chevy Malibu. Adian smiled as he sat in the back seat next to Miles. Adian
told both Miles and Blake about his little adventure at changing Jakes
diaper and was glad he wouldn't always have to change him. Both Blake and
Miles laughed at Adian's little adventure. Once they reached the hospital
the boys quieted down once they entered the hospital. At the front desk
they asked if they could visit Maria. She told them to go to the second
floor to room L34. once they reached the floor they went to the nurses
station and asked if they could see Maria Parks. The nurse showed them to
the room.  Maria was sitting up in her bed with tubes down her throat
another coming out around her belly button she looked very
uncomfortable. She tried to smile when she saw Adian come through the door
with a young man following him who was followed by Blake.

"Hi, mom are you feeling better?" Adian asked.

"I feel a little sore, but it feels better than before. Who is your friend?
She wrote

"This is my friend Miles. He has been helping to coach me in baseball."
Then he leaned in and whispered in his mothers ear. "I like him a lot."
When Adian stepped back he could see an approving smile come from his
mother. Maria picked up her pad and wrote.

"Hello Miles, It is nice to meet such a handsome young man. It is nice that
you are helping my son to learn baseball. Keep him safe and healthy. When I
get out of the hospital I would love for you to come over to the house to
visit and have dinner with us." After Miles read the note he smiled and
said.

"It would be my pleasure to spend a evening with both you and Adian." So,
it was decided that Miles would come over to when Maria got out of the
hospital. While the two boys spent time with Maria, Blake went to talk with
Carol, who just happened to be in her office.

"Hi, Carol." Blake said as he entered her office. "Didn't expect you to be
here still." Blake said.

"Yeah, lots of paperwork. You here with Adian?" she asked.

"Yeah, I brought him and a friend that he wanted to meet his mother."

"Awe, that is so cute. Who is his friend?" Carol asked. Blake smiled down
at her and said.

"Miles Mortenson."

"Really, That is a little surprising." Carol answers. This seems to confuse
Blake.

"Why would you say that?" Blakes asks Looking questionly at Carol.

"That boy has been through so much in the last three years. With the lose
of his mother and little sister in a car accident and than his father's
mental breakdown. The boy has been a rock, He has been living with his
grandparents, while his father recovers." Carol told him. This actually
surprised Blake, Miles had always been a leader on both the wrestling team
and baseball team. It reminded him a lot about what his little brother and
his cousins had been through.

"Wow, He has never indicated that he has been through all that." Blake
said. Carol smiled at him and said.

"He is just that kind of boy. His grandparents bring him in to a
counselor. So, he can talk through his problems, but he seems to be doing
well. I guess working, playing sports and working keep his mind going and
no his friendship with Adian will help him even more." Blake agreed, he
would have to keep Miles busy when he came to help with baseball
practice. Blake kind of wished he wasn't working during the day. He would
like to take him with to the AAU wrestling tournament in July. Maybe he
could talk to him and see if he was interested. If he was he would need to
start working with him as soon as possible.

Blake dropped Adian off first and on the way to Miles house, he asked him
if he would be interested in going to the wrestling tournament in
July. Miles said he would have to talk to his grandparents first because it
would interfere with working at the sporting good store his grandfather
owns. That was another piece of information that Blake didn't know. After
that Blake went home.  Back at the Holand house, Adian was greeted by Jake
who was crawling around naked after his bath.

"He wouldn't let me dress him until you got here." Mary told Adian. "Seems
like he has taken a shine to you." Adian just smiled and picked him up and
took him to the changing table and put a diaper on him, then Mary help
Adian get him into his PJ's. Then Mary headed into the kitchen to make
supper. Mean while Adian stayed and played with Jake in the living room
still in his baseball pants. When John came home he took over for Adian
watching Jake. Adian headed up to his room. This time he knocked on the
door before he entered. Eric and Scott were not anywhere in the room. He
could hear the shower going, so, he decided to undress quickly and change
his clothes. He figured he would take a shower before going to bed. Just as
he was leaving he heard the bathroom door open, so he slowly closed the
bedroom door. He didn't know why he did what he did, But he knew he would
want Scott to respect him and letting have his privacy was one way of doing
that. Downstairs again he notice that John had taken Jake to the dinning
room and had him in his high chair.

"Hey, why don't you go call Scott down for supper?" Mary asked. Instead of
going to the bottom of the stairs. Adian climbed the stairs and knocked on
the door then let Scott know that supper was ready. Scott told him he would
be right down. Adian made his way back downstairs and back into the dining
room. As he entered Jake spotted him and began to coo and laugh, Adian
resumed his set next to him. For some reason he really like Jake a lot.

"What are we having for supper tonight?" John called out to his wife Mary.

"Pulled BBQ pork with homemade potatoe salad and cottage cheese lime
jello." Mary called out. "Adian and you come and help me?" So, Adian got up
and went to the kitchen and helped Mary carry the food out into the dining
room. When Scott entered the room, He was wearing baggy shorts and a
tee-shirt.

"I see you dressed up for supper son." John said with a chuckle. Adian
looked at Scott with a questioningly look on his face. "Normally he comes
down in just his boxers." John said with a laugh. Adian smiled and thought
Scott had more balls then he did. When they finished Scott and Adian
cleaned up the dishes and told Mary to join John and Jake in the living
room and watch TV while they wash the dishes.  Scott and Adian actually had
fun washing the dishes. They kind of made a game of it. Each taking turns
washing and drying the dishes. When they finished the went to they living
room and joined Mary, John and Jake. Of course when Jake saw Adian he
wanted to get off Mary's lap and play with Adian. At 9 p.m. Mary took Jake
to his room while Scott and Adian went up to their room. Once inside Adian
told Scott he was going to take a shower. Then headed into the bathroom and
began to strip. But before he could completely strip Scott knocked on the
door.

"Do you mind if I use the bathroom before you shower? He asked.

"Sure." Adian told him as he finished taking off his clothes, then turned
the water on so, it could warm up before he went in. Meanwhile Scott walked
over to the toilet pulled down the front of his shorts revealing the fact
that Scott was not wearing any underwear. Adian just smiled while he
watched Scotts streamed into the bowl. Scott looked over his shoulder and
watched as Adian stepped into the shower. Now he wished he had waited and
took his shower with Adian. When Scott finished he left the bathroom and
went to crawl in bed. But not before turning on the TV. He put on HBO and
was flipping through movies until he heard the shower turn off.

Adian realized he had forgotten to take clean underwear with him again. But
figured he would just take them off when he went to bed. He grabbed his
towel and began to dry off, then wrapped the towel around his waist, picked
up his clothes and went into the bedroom. Setting his clothes down in the
wash basket. Then let his towel drop, knowing full well that Scott was
watching him as he did so. This was beginning to become a game between the
two of them.

"What are you watching?" Adian asked Scott.

"I don't know yet. I was waiting for you." Scott told Adian.

"What's on?" Adian asked.

"Godzilla vs. Mech-Godzilla." Scott told him. Adian had never really
watched a Godzilla movie and when Scott told him he was a big fan, so they
decided on that movie. About half way through the movie Adian fell asleep.

Adian woke at 7 a.m. just as he has since he could remember, he got out of
bed dressed in his running shorts and went downstairs. He was met by Mary
who already had toast and orange juice ready for him as he entered the
kitchen.

"Good morning." Adian said as he entered. Mary turned around and smiled.

"Good morning, are you going out running again this morning?"

"Yeah, I am meeting up with some of my friends from the baseball team."
Adian told Mary as he took a bite of the toast she had given him. He took a
sip of his orange juice.

"Are you going to go visit your Mother in the hospital again after your
run?" Mary asked.

"I'm not really sure. Coach did not mention it last night." Adian told
Mary.

"Don't worry about Blake. I can take you if you want to go." Mary
said. Adian smiled and walked over to Mary and gave her a hug.

"I would like that." Adian said as he released her from the hug.

"We can go when you get back." Mary told Adian. Adian finished his
breakfast and told Mary he was heading out for his run. But Just before he
left he went in and gave Jake a hug before he left.

Once again, Adian headed to his neighborhood. When he got there he once
again met up with, Peter, David, Carlos and Jose. Just as they were
starting out three more of his team mates showed up. Sean, Aaron and Peter
Philips. The three boys asked if they could join their group. Adian let
them know it was not going to be a easy run. But the boys said they would
do their best. So, the eight boys set out on their run. Adian took them
over to the high school to see if there were more of his team mates over
there. Once they went by and found that no one was there, they headed out
for their run. This time Adian figured since he had three new runners with
him he figured he would take it easy on them and just do a short route
instead of the one he had planned. Again Adian checked out the three new
boys that were running with them. Peter Philips from what he could tell was
a bit bigger than the other two, since they were younger then the rest of
the group. Aaron was only ten but from what Adian would tell the boy would
grow. Adian moved close to Aaron and being the prankster he was he decide
to take a chance and have some fun. He reached out and just as Aaron took
another step forward, he tugged on the back of his shorts. It was totally
unexpected when his shorts dropped to the ground almost tripping
him. Everyone stopped and stared. Aaron stood there half naked. Aaron had a
shocked and embarrassed look on his face as he reached down and tried to
pull his shorts up. Adian looked just as shocked and embarrassed He didn't
know Aaron wasn't wearing any underwear. He began apologizing as soon as he
saw Aaron was not wearing underwear. But he was also very intrigued Aaron
was very endowed for just being ten years old. It was bigger and thicker
than what Adian had seen on other boys in his gym classes at school.

"I am really sorry. I didn't know." Adian told the boy who now had tears in
his eyes.

"You guys go on ahead. I need to talk with Aaron." Adian told the other
boys.

"Where do you want to meet." Jose asked Adian.

"In front of your house." Adian told the boys. Then they left Adian and
Aaron alone.

"I really am sorry. I didn't mean for them to come completely off." Adian
said to Aaron.  Aaron just looked at Adian and then he did something
completely by surprise and pulled Adian shorts down. Now it was Adian's
turn to feel embarrass but he took his punishment as a man. It was only
fair that Aaron got his revenge. Adian was glad that he had sent everyone
ahead.

"We are even." Aaron said with a smile on his face.

"We are even." Adian repeated with a smile on his face. " I didn't expect
you weren't wearing underwear."

"I never wear underwear." Aaron told Adian.

"Well as you can tell now all I wear while I run is my jock." Adian said
and the two boys laughed together.

" You want to finish our run together? Adian asked. Aaron said he would and
they resumed their run together. They caught up to the other boys and were
soon back in front of Jose and Carlos's home. There everyone split up and
went there own way but not before agreeing to meet the next
morning. However before Adian left both Jose and Carlos stopped and invited
him in, they wanted him to meet their mom.

"Today is her day off. We told her about you and she wants to meet you."
Jose said while Carlos shook his head. Adian figured he had time since they
didn't run the route that he had planned. So, he followed the boys into the
house.

"Mamá, estamos en casa y tenemos a nuestro amigo Adian con nosotros."
Carlos called out.
 ("Mom, we are home and we have our friend Adian with us.")

A young woman came from around the corner greeting her two sons then said.

"Que joven tan apuesto." (what a handsome young man.) Lily said to know one
in general. Thankfully Adian does not speak Spanish.  Jose and Carlos both
giggled. They too thought Adian was handsome.

"Come, join us for breakfast." Lily said in her broken English. Adian
didn't know what to say because he promised Mary he would be right home
after his run to go with her to the hospital but he didn't want to turn
down either Lily or her sons.

"I can't stay very long. I am going to visit my mother in the hospital." He
told them. Lily spoke to her boy and told them what they were going to
have. Jose told Adian.

"We are having Mexican sweet potato hash. You are going to like it. Mom
usually makes it once a week." So, the three boys sat down to eat while
Lily waited on them. Adian was surprised how much he enjoyed the food.

"Wow, this is really good. I need to get the recipe . So, I can get my mom
to make it for me." Adian told Lily. Even though Lily spoke a little
English her sons had to translate what Adian had said. She took this as a
compliment. When Adian finished he told them he had to go. His foster mom
was expecting him at home. He said his good byes, then continued on with
his running. Only this time he made his way back to his foster parents
house. When he opened the door he was greeted by Jake as he crawled his way
as quickly as he could to meet with Adian. Adian laughed and picked him up.

"Hey, did you miss me?" Adian asked him as he bounced him up and down in
his arms.

"Boy, did he miss you. He started to cry when you left for your run and he
has been watching the door. I have been laughing every time someone comes
to the door. The look of disappointment on his face when he see's it is not
you." Mary said. Walking out to meet Adian and Jake.

"Well, I missed you too." Adian said while giving Jake a hug. Mary came
over to him and took Jake from him.

"Why don't you go upstairs and clean up. Then we can go visit your
mother. Blake said he will be here at two so we have to get back and have
lunch before you have to go to baseball practice." Mary told him.

Adian went upstairs jumped in the shower. He noticed Scott was no where to
be found. He was wondering where he could have gone. He was still sleeping
when he left for his run. Adian wondered if he had gone over to his friends
place.

What Adian didn't know was that Scott was with his brother for their
Thursday morning work out. Scott was going to compete in the AAU wrestling
tournament at the end of July.
