I was so excited this week we got 28.7 inches of snow I saw. It sure was fun and exciting. I was forced to remember that I am not 25 anymore. My 50 year old back decided it wasnt as thrilled about the snow as I was. But we got it all moved. So I have a few questions for all of you. What is your favorite hobby? Do you have a unique hobby? What is your favorite old TV show? Im going back and forth between Deenis the Menace the Rifleman. I am not a fan of westerns but I like the Rifleman. So before you read this you should really toss nifty a gift. Nothing much, a few hundred Pesos. Or a ten or twenty. Maybe a little more if you can. Peace Love and Good Happiness Eric The Premonition Part 20 Written By Eric Murphey Edited By Zero Moss "Marcus?" I say to the boy who is about 13 or so. He cocks his head at me funny. "No." "If I let you go, don't run away." "Okay." "MIKE!!!!!!!!!!" I see Mike come out of the woods and start walking toward me. Earl comes out as well and does the same. "Jer Bear, is that you?" Mike asks. "Grandpop?" "Oh my goodness!" Mike exclaims, taking the boy into his arms and hugging him tightly. "I have worried nonstop about you and your dad. Is your dad okay? Is he with you?" Mike asks, looking around. "Dad umm..." he gets out before the tears start flowing. I see the tears start falling from Mike's eyes as Jer Bear is in raking sobs as Mike holds him tight. It takes the boy a couple minutes to compose himself before he can finally talk. "Dad said if anything happened to come here. I couldn't remember exactly how to get to your farm but I knew it was around here somewhere." "You did really good, Jerry. It's only a little more than a mile away. Your Grandma is going to be so happy to see you. I sure know I am," he says and ruffles Jerry's hair. "Oh grandpop, I was so scared getting here." Mike takes him into another hug. "But you made it and that's all that matters. You are here and safe." Mike releases him and says, "Now let's go see your Grandma. She is going to be over-the-moon happy." Jerry smiles for the first time. I am thinking he is absolutely gorgeous, the spitting image of his father. I see Earl admiring him too. I even see him adjust his cock as it has grown a bit in his jeans. "Jerry, these are my very good friends. This is Rick Martin and this is Earl... Earl, I don't know your last name, it's never come up in all our conversations." "Richards." "Huh, I never knew it either. I guess last names aren't important anymore," I add. "Guys this is my grandson, Jerry Brown Washington. Also known as Jer Bear or the governor." "The governor?" Earl asks. "Yeah, Jerry Brown was the governor of California twice. Once in the 70s and then again in the 2000s," I clarify. "Cool. But I prefer Jerry," he says with a smile. "Then Jerry it is," Earl says, also smiling. "Now Jer, Rick here has three boys. Eddie, Jack and Jim. Earl has a son named Joseph. I'm sure you will all become fast friends. Now let's get you home and out of the cold. You want to take the squirrel you're cooking?" "Yes sir. It's not right to kill something and not eat it." "All right then," Mike responds, and then he walks over and grabs the nearly cooked animal. We all walk back to Earl's house, the Richards' homestead. How did I neglect to ask him what his last name is? Crazy. When we get to Earl's place, Mike gives a very quick introduction to Tina and Joseph, and then we hop in my truck and head to Mike and Sarah's farm. I start honking about an eighth of a mile from the house so Sarah will come outside. We pull in and she is on the porch wringing her hands. Mike gets out, opens the back of the truck, and out climbs Jerry. "OH SWEET JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!" she shouts and races to meet her grandson, gathering her arms around him in an emotional hug. She wraps her arm around his shoulder and leads him up the steps and into the house, with Mike following close behind grinning like a Cheshire cat. I get in the truck and head back home to give them time to get reacquainted and to just enjoy being together. From how it sounded, Marcus is not with us anymore. I am sure that they need time to process that. I head back home and walk into the house. The boys all swarm me and nearly knock me down with hugs. "We were so worried about you, daddy." Jack says. "I know, boys," I acknowledge, making my way to my bedroom with three little hangers-on. I pull my hand gun from the back of my waist and put it where it belongs. "So what happened? Is everything OK?" "Yes everything is wonderful. It turns out that it was the Washingtons' grandson. He was trying to find the farm and wasn't exactly sure where it was." "Oh, that's so super cool," Eddie says. "How old is he?" Jack asks. "Yeah dad, how old is he?" "He seems to be around 13. But I didn't ask him, so I'm not sure." "When can we meet him?" Eddie wonders. "I think we should give them a few days to get to know each other again. It seems like it's been quite a while since Mike and Sarah have seen him." "Yeah, that makes sense. Daddy, can I go to the bunker? I was thinking of something there," Jack asks. "Yeah, I think that would be fine. Do you want some help?" "Just to open the door. It's too heavy and I can't do it myself." "That seems like a plan. I think I will grab some pizzas when we go down and run one to the Washingtons as a special treat. Or do you think I should wait until tomorrow?" "I know I would be super happy if you did that for me," Jim says with a grin. "Yeah dad, and some Cokes too, to make it a real celebration." "Should I make chips too?" "Daddy, you should always make chips," Jim emphasizes with another of his grins. "Alright, you little chip monster." I rub the top of his head as I say it. "You know, it's early enough that I can cook it up and deliver it like a pizza delivery from the before-times. I think that would be funny." The boys all look at me like I'm stupid. Okay, I still think it will be funny, and I'm doing it. We all head to the bunker door and I open it. "Dad, can we go play with Joseph?" Eddie asks. "I don't have a problem with it. Make sure when you get there that it's okay, and if it is, get back by dark for supper." "Cool," Jim answers, and he and Eddie race off. I look at Jack. "You sure you wouldn't rather go play with them? "Nah, I been thinking about something I saw down here and want to check it out and see if it's what I think it is." "What's that?" "It's a surprise," the little shit stonewalls me. "Alright." We head down into the bunker and I grab 4 pizzas, two for them and two for us. I know we won't finish two, but the leftovers will be a nice treat for later. I grab some different sodas, including Mountain Dew which I used to love and some regular Coca-Cola which is still my favorite. I go and check on Jack; he is in front of the computer with a list next to him, tapping away. "Don't forget supper." "I won't, daddy," he answers without turning to look at me. I think in my head that he will almost certainly forget and that I will have to come get him. I head back up to the trailer and turn on the stove to preheat it. I look around while it's preheating and find the reusable bags for hot and cold products that will keep the pizza hot on its journey. I still think the delivery idea is funny. Maybe not to others, but it is to me. I put the sodas I'm taking to them in the freezer so they get as cold as possible. I put the pizzas in the oven, and save the boxes so I can slide each one into a box so hopefully they don't get messed up in my first pizza delivery job. Gotta get a tip you know! I put them in the oven, and when they are done I take them out and carefully slide them into the boxes without cutting them. I put the boxes in the bag, and grab the sodas and put them into another one. I walk to the truck, being careful not to smash them. I drive down to the Washingtons' and pull in the drive. I walk to the door with the bags and knock. When Mike starts to open the door I shout, "Domino's!!" He chuckles at me and asks, "What?" "I got the pizzas and soda you ordered, sir. It will be $17.29." "You're a nut," he chides me, but he smiles as he says it. "The boys and I thought that Jerry would enjoy some pizza and soda." "I'm sure he will," Mike says, and steps aside so I can walk in. "I cooked them already, too." As I walk in I see Sarah and Jerry on the couch with her arm around him. They are talking softly. "Jerry, Rick brought us some pizza for supper." He looks up, his eyes huge. "No way!" "Way!" I say back to him. I carry it all into the kitchen and slip the pizzas out of the bag and then out of the boxes. I put the still-steaming pizzas on top of the boxes. "I didn't cut them. Not sure how it would have worked out." "We got knives, no problem. You want to stay a while?" "No, I think you guys need some alone time to get to know each other again. I just wanted it to be a little bit more special is all." Mike surprises me by giving me a hug. "You are a good friend." I return the hug. "I try. Now let me get out of your hair so you guys can enjoy the pizza." With that I turn on my heels and head back out to the truck and home. I smile thinking how excited he was to get some pizza. I think about what I need to make some pizza sauce, and I am pretty sure I have everything. I got the bread maker and there is a pizza dough button on it. So we can start making our own sauce and pizza. When I get back, it's still kind of early to make dinner for the boys. That and I kind of want to wait for them to get home first. I sit in my chair, kick my feet up, and am asleep in seconds. In my defense it's been a long day with little sleep. Besides, it's only 2 o'clock, so it's really kind of okay. I'm sleeping so soundly when I wake to hear Jack ask, in a sing-song voice, "Daddy, oh Daddy, you sleeping?" "Yes, I'm sleeping," I grumble. "Wake up daddy. Oh daddy, wake up!" he sings on. "I don't want to." "Daddy, will you answer me pleeeease," he pleads. "Jack sweetie, I am answering you," I say as I open my eyes and see no one. "What a weird fucking dream," I mumble. "I swear I heard him." "Oh daaaaaady!" I look around again, sure that I heard him this time. Either that or I'm losing my ever loving mind. "Daddy." I look toward where his voice is coming from. I pick up the radio that seems to be the source of his voice. I key it. "Jack, where did you find these?" "In the bunker. They are cool, huh? Guess where I am?" "I would say not on the moon." "Hee hee. No, I'm at Joseph's house." "Really, these reach that far?" "Yeah daddy. I looked and they are called 2-meter radios. They can reach for miles. I found six of them and I am leaving one here so that way if we need to get a hold of Joseph's family for something we can. I figure that we will take one to the Washingtons too. So if something like today happens again, you guys can respond quicker." "You are such a smart boy. Now come home so I can hug you." "Can I play a while?" "Of course you can buddy. Are the other boys with you?" "Yes." "Be home by dark, okay?" "Sure daddy. Love you!" "I love you, too." I put the radio down and go to the kitchen because my mouth tastes like someone just shit in it. I drink some water and that helps. I look at the time and it's around 3:30; I guess I didn't sleep too awfully long. I'm still so tired, though. Maybe it's from lack of sleep, the stress of seeing what was going on with the smoke, and finding Jerry. God, he is cute as shit; he looks just like his dad. I wish I could have seen him a few years ago. Man, I would have loved that much more. I look around and am reminded that the boys are gone. I don't really recall a time when one of them wasn't near me. I don't think I like it. In fact, I don't like it at all. I have grown so used to them being around me, and I miss them. How did I ever get along before? A case of "ignorance is bliss?" Probably so. I head out to my little work area and start working on another project for the boys for Christmas. I even take the radio with me, because what if they need to get a hold of me? I like the idea of all of us being able to stay in touch easier. As I am getting done with another toy for the boys I hear, "Daddy?" over the radio. "Yes?" "Can we stay the night here?" Jack asks. Now, I will admit that his request hurt my heart. "I haven't started supper yet. Is it alright with Earl and Tina, or are you just feeling out the waters?" "No, they said it's okay." "Do you want me to bring anything up to you boys?" "Nah, we got everything we need." "Alright, I will see you boys tomorrow. Have fun and don't be any trouble to Earl and Tina." "We won't, daddy." "Love you." "Love you, too." I hear excited giggles in the background from the other boys. I sigh and figure it will give me some time to make some more things without fear of being caught. I work until around 10 and notice I am starving. But I didn't want to stop. Who knows when this opportunity may arise again? I did pretty good, though. I got a toy made for each boy including Joseph and Jerry. I know Jerry is older, but I think he will appreciate this gift. I'm an old man and even I think it's cool. I need to put some finish on the toys, but that can wait for another day. I put them away so Jim won't see them when he comes to check on the power. Before I go in, I check on the goats and chickens. I look up the hill. Though I can't see the house, I know they are up there. I sigh as I stare, trying to make out some glimmer of light. But Earl did a really good job with the blackout curtains. I head to the trailer, go inside, and make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It ain't fancy but it's tasty, so much so that I have another. I go to the living room and look around, thinking I will watch a movie or something. I sigh again. I just don't want to do that. I feel so alone. Maybe I'm one of those crazy people, co-dependent or some shit like that. I decide to just go to sleep; it's late enough I think. I go to my room and smoke a great big bowl of weed, thinking it will help me just pass out. I lay down and try to go to sleep. All I can do is smell Jack on the pillows and sheets. I have a nice jerk and when I cum I clean myself off. I toss and turn a while longer. "Fuck it then!!" I half shout and toss off the covers. I go to the living room and smoke another bowl. I decide that since I'm awake, I will make some chips for the boys. I grab some potatoes and turn on the oil. I start slicing them super thin. I decide to do a few different things. Honestly it's probably because I'm stoned as fuck right now. I put the fresh-from-the-oil chips into a paper bag and pour in some powdered cheese from the mac and cheese boxes. I shake it up really good. I try one, then have another, and yet another. They're pretty tasty. I put those in a bag. I make some more chips and pour cayenne pepper over them. Not too bad, I think. I grab some vinegar and put some, plus salt, on the next batch. It's not too bad; not my favorite, but not bad. I make some regular chips with just salt as well. When I get done with my chip experiments, it's pushing two AM. I have smoked a bit more to maintain my high. I grab a Mountain Dew from the fridge and sit down with a bag of the cayenne pepper chips. I think I like them best and sit and munch on them. I get done with the portion I made for myself and put on some sweat pants. I grab my boots and slip them on and head to the bunker. I climb down and go to the bedroom I used previously. I lay down and it doesn't smell like Jack. I have another wank and am asleep shortly, though not soundly. ericmurphey1971@gmail.com
