Subject: Transitions Chapter 29 Adult Gay youth

Hello Everyone.  I hope you are all doing fantastic today.  I have gotten
some VERY useful advice from my friend in California on how to deal with
the insurance companies.  It has been very helpful.  I am still at a
standstill because the kid that pulled out in front of me still has not
given a statement.  Seems like bullshit I have to suffer because his lack
of caring about this.
Also so sorry it took so long to get this one done.  I have had some ups
and downs mentally due to this.  Also I have been writing it between jobs
so it definitely takes longer. I have been working a lot more so I have
been pretty tired to write.
I did however manage to get another chapter of Accidental Paradise up this
weekend.
Nifty and I discussed it and they we decided the best thing to do is move
it to the Bisexual Adult gay youth Section.  So it is there now.
So check it out over ther if you like that story.

Transitions

Chapter 29


Eric sat in the upstairs window watching Alejandro and Julius get on the
bus for Alejandro's first day of school. He really wanted to drive them.
But, Alejandro flatly refused saying he isn't a baby and wanted to ride the
bus. Eric tried to argue and was winning so he thought until Julia and Rich
intervened for Alejandro. He knew he wasn't winning. But, dammit his baby
was still hurting. Not really but, he was scared. So scared of him not
being next to him all day. He had let up a little after Julia had her talk
with him. But, not much. He takes a sip of his coffee as the bus takes off
with the boys.

As he watched a tear slipped from is eye. He quickly wiped it.

Eric sat there waiting for two hours when Rich walks in.

"You know a watched pot never boils." Rich says.

"I know." Eric mumbles. " I should home school him."
"No you need to let him be a boy." Rich says.

"But, what if he gets hurt?"
"Then the school will call you."

"But, what.."
"He will be just fine. Relax my friend."
Eric gets up and starts pacing back and forth never once letting his eyes
move from the window.

"I know you have lots of money. But, do you want to waste it replacing the
carpet?"

"What?" Eric says because he isn't paying attention.

"I said. Never mind lets go bowl a game."
"I cant and neither should you."
"Aw bullshit. Julius and I do it all the time now. He is getting pretty
good. If I go slowly I do just fine. I just cant rocket the ball down the
lane anymore."
"No I would rather not."
"What are you worried about. You cant keep him safe all the time. You cant
always be with him. You have to give the boy some space."
"I do."
"What you let him take a shit by himself?" Rich steps in front of Eric as
he is pacing.

"Eric, you are my friend. You and the boys and Julia have made my life have
a purpose again. I love you and I love all of you. But, one thing I have
learned in my 8,000 years on this planet is sometimes shit just happens.
There is no rhyme or reason to it. It just happens. I think in all honesty
Maybe you should see a therapist about this."
"so you think I am crazy?" Eric says his voice raised to just below a
scream.

"No. I think you are scared. I think that you realized that at times you
have absolutely no control over things. Your entire life you have had
control of everything. Now you don't and you are terrified."
"You are fucking right I am terrified." Eric starts to cry, and Rich takes
him into his arms.

"Look my friend. I know what you are going through to a degree. I never had
to almost lose a child. But, I did lose the love of my life. I know how
terrible it is. But, the difference is I did lose the love of my life. You
did not. I don't think you are being silly or anything. Over protective
absolutely. He will be fine. Besides Julius is with him. He will be just
fine."
Eric slowly pulls away from the hug.

"I would just wish to die if anything happens to him."
"I know buddy I know. Lets go get a snack Julia is making cookies."
"No I just want to sit here."
"OK. I don't think its healthy for you. But, I am not going to argue with
you about it."
Eric sits down and sips his now very cold coffee.

About an hour later Julia comes in.

"Mr Eric you want some lunch?"
"Yeah sure that would be nice."
"Then get up off yo ass and come get some. I ain't gone be waiting on you
hand and foot."
"Thats OK I am not hungry anyway." He says and waves his hand at her.

"Fine sur. Have it your way all worried like sitting there is gone do
anything."


Meanwhile at school.

Alejandro finds his class with no problem. At the beginning of class the
teacher asks him to stand in front of the class and explain why he hasn't
been in school yet.

"OK Alejandro introduce yourself and let everyone Know what happened to
you." Mrs Woods his teacher says.

"Umm Hi I am umm Alejandro umm Gutierrez, soon to be Murphey.

The day before umm school started. I felt some pain in my side right here."
He says touching his side. "Then it started to really hurt a lot. I went to
my Poppi's room and woke him up and he took me to the hospital. I umm had
to have surgery for my appendix. It had burst which is really bad, I was
sick for what seemed like forever. My Poppi umm he took care of me after I
left the hospital. I umm feel better now but, my Poppi still wanted me to
stay home longer. The doctor he umm said no I needed to go back to school.
So here I am." Alejandro super nervous started to take his seat.

"Alejandro just in case the other boys or girls get this pain can you show
them exactly where it is they need to notice?"
"Um sure." Alejandro lifts his shirt to show the other kids his scar.

"Class do any of you have any questions for Alejandro?"
Lots of hands went up.

The teacher points to a girl in the front row.

"You said your name is Gutierrez but soon to be Murphey. What did you mean
by that?"

"Well, umm at the beginning of summer my mother was killed by her boyfriend
and my Poppi is adopting me. He is really super nice and I love him lots."
"You." The teacher says pointing to a boy.

"Did it hurt a lot?"
"Yeah it hurt tons. Poppi wouldn't let me walk up and down the stairs at
the house for four days when we got home and I made him let me. He wouldn't
let me go down the front stairs though he only let me go down the back
stairs."
"You got more then ones set of stairs?" The boy asks without getting
another turn.

"Yeah we got lots of stairs."
"Wow you must have a big house."
"Yeah its real big. But, Poppi always dreamed of having it and its a great
big house with lots of stuff to do. We got a bowling alley a swimming pool
and pool. Loads of stuff for Julius and I to play with."
"Wow you must be rich."
"No but my Poppi is."
"What does he do for a living?"
"He doesn't do anything now hes retired."
"He must be old."
"No hes not old. Hes only 41."
"How did he get rich then?"
"He worked really hard and got lucky is what he tells me."

Mrs Woods interrupts at this point.

"You all know his Poppi is Mr Eric who owns the McDonald's downtown."
"Wow he owns McDonald's?" Another boy exclaims.

"No not all of them just some." Alejandro corrects him as Eric would have.

"How many?"
"I am not real sure I think around 300 or so." He says not bragging just as
a matter of fact.
"Wow." A few kids say.

"I bet you get McDonald's all the time."
"No not really Poppi says McDonald's tastes really good but, like anything
it is best in moderation."
"Whats moderation mean?"
"It means not all the time but, once in a while." Alejandro says. Knowing
because he asked the same question from Eric.

So for the next fifteen minutes the kids pepper him with questions and
finally Mrs Woods settles the down and begins the class work.

The girl that sits next to him slips him a note.

"I am glad you are better. I think you are really cute too."
Alejandro blushes. He writes below her note.

"Thank you. I think you are pretty too." Then hands it back.

After a couple of hours of lessons the recess bell rings. All the kids race
out the door to the playground. Alejandro waits back of the crowd once they
get outside and is looking for Julius. He feels someone shove him from
behind.

"Hey rich boy give me your money." A boy says to him.

Alejandro turns around to see who shoved him.

He sees a boy bigger then him. But, everyone is bigger then him in the
class. The boy has brown hair with brown eyes and loads of freckles on his
face, and not in a cute way.

"I said give me your money."
"I will do no such thing." He says after hearing Eric say it so many times
it seems natural.

"I am going to kick your ass then."
Just then the cute little girl from class walks up.

"Todd stop being nasty to Alejandro."
"He better give me his money or I am going to kick his ass." He reiterates.

"You lay a finger on him I am going to kick your butt." The little girl
says.

Todd rears back his fist to hit Alejandro. Alejandro so used to the
beatings in his past just throws up his hands to deflect the hits and
closes his eyes. He reopens them quickly when he hears a scream.

"You broke my nose." Todd says holding his now blood pouring nose.

What had happened the second that Alejandro closed his eyes is the girl had
did a round house kick straight to the boys face followed by a quick punch
to the nose.

"I'm telling he cries as he runs off to tell someone."
"Thanks." Alejandro says and extends his hand.

She takes it and shakes it.

"No thanks needed he is always a big jerk. I'm Cindy." Then she bends over
and kisses Alejandro on the cheek. He immediately blushes.

"I am Alejandro." He says to her after he regains his composure from his
first little kiss from a little girl.

"I know silly." She says and giggles. "Lets go on the swings it will be
fun."
"OK." He says and she grabs his hand and they race off to the swings. Once
they get there they see they are all full so they just start to talk.

"Yeah I am Cindy Brady and if you make fun of my name I will hit you."
"Why would I make fun of your name?"
"Because of the TV show silly."
"What TV show?"
"The Brady bunch silly."
"I never heard of it."
"Really I thought everyone has seen that."
"No Poppi and I just watch cartoons and movies mostly. Before that we
didn't really have a TV I could watch. My mothers boyfriend he watched
whatever he wanted. It was always violent stuff I didn't want to see."
"Oh OK well, its an old TV show and one of the girls names is Cindy Brady."
"Oh. Well, I wouldn't have made fun of you anyway. I'm not mean."
"I can see that. I do think you are a really cute boy. You live at
Whitehall don't you?"
"Yeah."
"Cool I live two blocks from you. We can play after school." She says then
looking down at her toes. "If you want."
"Sure I would like that and you can meet my Poppi. Want to come over today
after school. I have a piano lesson later. But, I can put Rich off a little
while and we can bowl or something."
"Cool I heard it had a bowling alley in it. I never saw it before. Can you
show me the whole house?" She says kind of excited.

"Sure. Its just a house though." He says repeating what hes heard Eric say.

"Cool." She giggles. She is actually a very cute girl and to a degree does
look like the Cindy Brady on TV as she has long curly blond hair and a
button nose. She is a good eight inches taller then Alejandro. But, she is
a bit on the tall side as he is on the short side.

Julius races up breathless.

"There you are. Hows class so far.?" Julius asks.

"So far so good." He smiles at his friend.

"Cool you gotsa new frien."
"Yeah its Cindy Brady she lives just down from us. Shes coming over after
school to play. You want to bowl with us?"
"You mean like on the TV show?"
"I guess." Alejandro says.

"Cool. You gotsa famous name." Julius smiles and shakes her hand.

"She beat up a boy for me too." Alejandro says.

"Somebody messin which you? Who I will beat him up too." Julius says
looking around who to beat.

"No I think hes going to leave Alejandro alone now." Cindy says. "I like
how you talk its neat."

"Everbody talk like this where I from. Cept the people that visit."
So for the rest of the recess Julius and Alejandro tell her tails of what
they did in the Virgin Islands. She loved the part about Julius swimming
with the sea turtle. But, as usual too soon the bell rings ending the fun.

Before they even sit down Mrs Woods instructs them to go to the Principals
office. Once they arrive they see Todd sitting in a chair his hand holding
a wash cloth up to his nose. He sneers at Alejandro.

"I am so going to kick your butt."
Cindy walks in front of him. "You even look at him funny I am going to kick
your butt again." She hollers at him.

"Cindy Brady stop that this instant." The principal says as she walks out
of the office.

"He started it." She says defending herself, pointing at him.

"Did not."

"Lets all go into the office and get this situated. Now." She says pointing
to her door.

Once they are all settled. She looks at Alejandro and smiles.

"Young man tell me what happened."

"I went out to recess and this boy told me to give him my money and then
Cindy came up and saved me from him."
"OK Cindy lets here your side of it." She says.

"I saw Alejandro and hes new. I thought it would be nice to play with him
because he doesn't know anyone yet. So I saw him over there and so I walk
over and then I hear Todd say. For him to give him is money or hes going to
beat his butt. But, he said the bad word for it. So I tell Todd to stop
being mean and so he says hes going to hit Alejandro and I say nun huh and
he starts to hit him so I gave him a round house kick to the face followed
by a rapid punch to the nose. Which is probably why his cheek has a Nike
swoosh and his nose is all bloody. But, I swear he was going to hit my boy
friend." She instantly blushes when she says this. "I mean my new friend."

"Todd?"
"They are lying I was just talking to him and she hits me for no reason. I
wasn't threatening him or nuthin."
"Todd this is not the first time you have been accused of bullying. I am
calling your mother and you are going to end up going to in school
detention for 2 weeks. You will have no recess and you will not be allowed
to have lunch with the other students. Miss Cindy as valiant as your
efforts were you should have gotten a teacher to help and not taken matters
into your own hands."
"But, there wasn't time. Id I waited to get a teacher he would have beaten
him up or tried to anyway."
"I will take that into consideration. Alejandro I don't find you at any
fault in any of this other then Todd trying to steal from you." She says
and glares at Todd. "Cindy I think an appropriate punishment for you is to
take the lunch trays from other students and scrape of anything they didn't
eat and then give them to the lunch lady to wash. I will have you do this
today. But, if there is more trouble between you two your next punishment
will be much harsher. Alejandro and Cindy get back to class. Todd you stay
here we are calling your mother."
"No please no don't call her please." He starts begging knowing he is in
deep shit later.

They walk back to class together Her taking his hand in hers.

"You kicked him in the face?"
"Yeah well, he deserved it. Mean people deserve to be put in their place."
"How did you do it?"
"Its easy I can show you later. My dad runs a dojo its where people learn
martial arts."

"Wow that's cool."
"It is but, most boys are scared of me after I showed how I can break
boards with a punch in the school talent show last year. They think because
I know how to do stuff like that they think I am mean. But, I'm not."
"I know that silly." He says and kisses her cheek as they reach the closed
classroom door. She blushes this time.

"Thank you."

"Your welcome." She says.

They go in and take their seats and pull out the proper book for the lesson
being taught and start listening to Mrs Woods.

The rest of the day zips by and Alejandro and Julius get on the bus to go
home. Cindy gets on and looks at Alejandro kind of sad because she wanted
to sit with him. Julius sees the look and want in her eyes he knows the
desire because he has it for Rich.

"Here Cindy why don you sit by Alejandro I will sit in the seat here." He
says getting up and getting in the seat behind them.

"Thanks." She sits down and instantly they reach for each others hands to
hold.

They ride home and chat the whole way. Julius and Alejandro's stop is
before hers so when they get off she tells him she will be down in a little
while to play.

"Cool." He says.

Eric sees the bus from the window. He never left it all day he was so
worried. Even after Rich and Julia tried multiple times to get him to do
anything else but worry. He races down the stairs to greet his boy. He
swings the door open so fast it startles both boys as they are chatting and
fumbling for their key.

"Poppi you scared me."
"I am sorry buddy." Eric says as he swoops down and picks him up. "I just
missed yo so bad today is all."
"Poppi I invited a new friend over today I hope that's OK.
"Sure its OK." Eric says with a big smile. Still just holding Alejandro.

"Poppi I really gotta go pee."
"Oh I'm sorry buddy." Eric says and sits him down.

Julius has already raced off to see Rich.

Alejandro goes and pees and Eric swoops him back up.
"I love you so much."

"I love you too Poppi." Alejandro says and kisses him on the cheek.

"I bet you want something to eat."

"Yeah I'm starving." Alejandro says rubbing his tummy.

"They both go in and Alejandro slides down Eric and sits at the table. Eric
makes him a turkey sandwich and some chips. He pours him some lemonade
which is now Alejandro's favorite thing to drink. Eric makes himself a
sandwich too since he hasn't eaten since dinner last night. Eric wolfs down
the sandwich in no time flat and is munching on the ships on his plate.

The door bell rings and from somewhere Julia says she will get the door.

A moment later she appears with Cindy beside her.

"Alejandro yo frin is here." Julia says.

Alejandro hops up and gives her a hug.

"I am glad you could make it." Then he whispers in her ear. "Dont tell
Poppi what happened at school today."
She hugs him back. "Me too." then whispers." I wont"
"Well, in all my days its Cindy Lou Who. How have you been Eric walks over
and picks her up and hugs her."
"Oh Mr Eric you always call me that." She giggles.

"Well, its one of those famous Cindy's you are named after." He says and
puts her down.

"Poppi can I show Cindy the house. She says she has never been in it
before?"
"Sure buddy and I will go with to answer any questions you may not know the
answer to." Eric says inviting himself along.

"Um sure Poppi." Alejandro says not very pleased.


"We should start at the top floor and work out way down I think." Eric says.

Eric starts to clear the table.
"I get that Mr Eric." Julia says.

"Thank you so much." and they take the tour and end up at the bowling
lanes. Eric invites himself to join them there as well.

Alejandro was showing Cindy how to throw the ball better and she got a
strike and she is jumping up and down. Alejandro is whooping and hollering
cheering her too. He races up and gives her a hug and a kiss right on the
lips. She was kind of surprised by it. But, didn't object.

So that's the way it went for the next two hours until Julia called for
dinner.

"Cindy do you want to stay for supper with us?" Eric asks.

"No I better get home." She says.

"OK We will walk you to the door then." Eric says.

Alejandro is starting to get a bit miffed.

Once they see her off with happy goodbyes from them both they go to the
dining room for dinner.

Alejandro keeps giving Eric an evil eye as they eat. Eric is completely
oblivious to it. After they all eat the tasty dinner Julia had prepared for
them Eric says.

"You want to watch a movie or something buddy?"
"No I think I want to go to my room and play for a while."
"Cool we can play with your leggos. Or, we can build that model plane we
got the other day."
"No Poppi I want to be by myself for a little while. If that's alright with
you?"
"Um well, yeah sure I guess that's OK. Will you be OK by yourself?"

"He be jus fine by hiself Mr Eric." Julia says.

"Can I come play?" Julius asks kind of timidly.

"Sure." Alejandro says with a smile, then glares at Eric.

Eric sits there stunned as Rich and Julia clean the table.

After they finish Rich comes back out and sits down.

"Eric my friend. I know you love him more then anything or anyone in the
world. But, you are smothering him. Did you let him be with his new friend
at all without you today?"
"Well, no but hes 9 he should want to spend time with me."
"He does but dammit Eric you are taking it too far. He needs time to be
with his friends. He is at the age where he needs to start to break away
from you and grow up and learn things for himself."

"But,..."
"There are no buts about it. Give him space. I know you love him. He knows
without a doubt you love him. He just needs space. Since his appendix.
burst the only time hes been alone is when he shits. Haven't you realized
the boy shits 5 times a day now?"
"I am still scared."
"Do you control the universe?"
"Of course not."
"So you cant protect him from everything or anything much for that matter.
Things happen especially to little boys. He will get hurt and he will
probably break stuff. But fuck Eric. You are going way overboard with this
shit. Come on you didn't even leave the window today at all. I understand
you are scared. Its normal. But, take a break. OK."
"I suppose you are right."
"There's no suppose I am right. Imagine if you had a little girl friend
come over and you wanted to show her your house as a boy and play with her.
How would you have liked it if your dad would have been there the entire
time?"
"Yeah I wouldn't have liked it at all."
"Now you see why hes pissed."
"Yeah. I owe him an apology."
Eric gets up and goes to Alejandro's room and taps on the door.

"Come in." Alejandro shouts.

Eric walks through the door and Alejandro's smile fades from his face.

"Julius can you excuse us for two minutes. Go get you boys something to
drink and I will be done by then. OK?"
"Sure thing." He races off.

"Alejandro I was informed I owe you an apology. I thought for a minute and
I really do. I am so sorry I didn't let you and Cindy be alone and play. I
know I should have. I also know that you are tired of me constantly
hovering over you. I know I need to give you some time to play with Julius
by yourself. I have just been so scared of losing you that I didn't realize
that constantly being by you and hovering that it would drive you away.
That it would make you upset with me. It was not my intention for certain.
I do apologist and I will let you have time away from me." Eric says wiping
a tear from his eye.

"Poppi. I understand you are scared. I was scared too at first. But, now I
am better and you just are always there. I love you so much Poppi and I do
like spending time with you. Lots of time. But, sometimes I just want to
play with Julius and now Cindy. But we cant just be ourselves and talk
about stuff because you are always there. But, I do accept your apology and
I do love you."

Alejandro walks over to Eric and hugs his waist.

Eric picks him up and gives him a proper hug and a kiss on the lips.
"I just don't know what I would ever do without you."
"Its OK Poppi when Cindy and I get married we will come visit you all the
time."
Eric thinks back to his dream and he sees clearly in his dream that sure
enough it was Cindy Brady but, older and there kids look just like her and
him together. He doesn't say anything and sits Alejandro down.

"You don't believe me I am going to marry her do you."
Eric smiles.

"No buddy I do believe that you and Cindy will get married and love each
other very much."
Julius cautiously renters the room and sees everything is good again.

"You boys have fun. Alejandro don't forget today is your piano lesson."
"I wont Poppi. I really do love you."
"I know buddy." Eric says and gently pulls the door closed behind him.




OK Everyone Dont worry Alejandro and Cindy will not be getting sexual.  It
is not planned that way nor will it happen that way.  They are two
"innocent" children that are falling in love.
