We knew we need the weapons. Even though we had a big stock pile. they were better off in our hand than the military or even the rebels. The food was safe for now and Ben and Dan figure we should share that finding with Tom and his wife. It would Make for a good relationship. Plus we figure it would be better for us to be eating the crops we were growing. As for the livestock we planned to go out in the afternoon to retrieve any that were close to us. We also realized we would need to build more building to house the New livestock. That also brought us back to the weapons. It was decided that we would leave in the morning to retrieve what we could. Dan said we should take as many people as possible who were able to drive. When I asked why? he told me he the base had troop carriers which we could use to carry more weapons. The only problem I thought was where we were going to store them. It was dangerous to have that many explosive all in one place. Jon who had now joined us we should make use of a few of the other farm places around the area that were close enough to get more supplies if we needed to.. I was also thinking about that idea to but was worried that if anyone stumble across the house before heading our direction we would be wiped out. That is when Jon said we would only keep the guns in one place and the ammo in another. It was a great idea so we settled on that. It was Tyler and Kyles turned to cook so they told us to go talk somewhere else. Ben, Dan, Jon and I went out to see how the guys were doing in the shed. They had only a little bit left to stock to the shelve. So we helped stock the rest the they goods onto the shelves. Once that was finish Chris, Anton and myself went to feed the animals. Once we finished that we all went into eat.. That afternoon we loaded up the trucks with gas, hooked up the two trailers and headed out to pick up the cattle and other livestock. I thought it would be harder to round everything up but it turned out easier then we thought. Even though the cattle had been running free for the six or seven years they were more than willing to be captured and loaded into the trailers. Only a few were trouble. We had one bull follow us back to the farm and join the cattle when the were herded into the pasture. We now had 33 female cows and two bulls and ten calves on the way. We were able to find 4 female pigs and one male. But they were not as easy to capture. We found out later that all four females were pregnant, later they gave birth and now we have 38 piglets 4 sows and one bore. We were also able to catch a small flock of chickens, a few white geese. We did find turkeys but we were not able to catch any. We knew where they were nesting. I figure we could come back later in the spring and grab the chicks. That night while we were in the kitchen preparing food I realize that our family was getting bigger and it was time that we either add another room to the house or to build another building just for cooking and serving our meals. That night Chris made an announcement to me saying he wanted to spend the night with me. I didn't have a problem with it and neither did Kyle. I love it when Chris sleeps with me. The kid is like a furnace so we cuddled close to each other. Even though it was spring it still got cold at night and no one had stocked the furnace. We all decided to go to bed earlier than usual. Around 2 am i heard someone enter the room. When I looked up I saw Kyle stripping down to nothing and crawled in next to me in bed. Now I was coking because both of these boys were a furnace and not before to long we were all asleep. I woke to a start as the rooster crown at the break of dawn. I think it kind of startled everyone. Because none of us notice any roosters while we gathered up the hens. I slipped between the two sleeping princes got dress and went down to make breakfast since it was my turn. I met Jon and Ben at the door since they were here to help. Jon asked when did we get the rooster. I told him I had know Idea. "Well he wasn't there when we rounded up the hens." Ben said. I told them he had to be pretty fast if he followed us back here. Later we found out he was. I think Anton or was it Anthony tried to shoot him with a bb-gun and he moved so fast it never hit him. We had already decided who was going with on our trip. Kyle, Anton, and Anthony were going to stay and feed the animals and watch the farm while the rest went to retrieve out treasure. There was a big debate on whether I should go with but when I told them they would need two to a truck, one to drive and one to watch for trouble. Once on our way everything went fine till just outside of Waltham MA where we drove past a group of young men and boys. They looked between the ages of 10 to 20 years old. they tried to wave us down but we made no attempt to stop. Ben figured they must have held up on one of the farm places for the winter because they all looked to be in good shape. If they were still on the road when we returned we might stop to see if they need any help. When we reached the Camp we decided to see if we could get any of the trucks started. Dan said the first time the looked around the camp they did not notice any bodies. Because most were either inside the building or inside the back of the trucks. The camp must have been hit with some chemical attack because none of the bodies had any bullet wound according to Bobby. I checked around a few of the standing building while the others attempted to get the trucks running. While the others removed the bodies or I should say bones from the trucks. The main structure I went into must have been the headquarters because there were maps on this really big table. It showed the location of all the front lines and where the main military group were hardest hit and where resistance groups were fighting. I also found list of cities that had been wiped out. Most of the cities on the east coast had been wiped out with over millions dead. It also had evacuation point where citizen were directed to go to get out of advancing military groups. Most of the Midwest had been left untouched But the west coast was in just as bad shape as the east coast and southern states. Now here is the weird part that I discover. It was not only the United State that had been attacked. There was fighting in Russia and China. Most had been attacked in Gas bombings. No one were sure where the attack was coming from. The last communication was still on the printer and all it said was to evacuate. The date was 4/20/2025. That was over six years ago. I took some of the reports with me so I could look over them more closely. The guys got four trucks running plus a hummer with a 50 caliber machine gun mounted on the back. It was later decided that Dan and Brandon would be point guard on the trip back. I would be in the lead truck with Craig as my point man and the others would follow and if anything happened such as the truck breaking down we were to pull to the side of the road and honk our horns. We all got a quick lesson on how to drive the truck from Dan who had been in the Marines as a water hauler and these trucks were the same trucks he used. We stopped at the fuel dump before heading over to the ammo dump. Tucker mentioned that he had seen a fuel truck that we might be able to use to haul fuel around. When we got over to the bunker we began loading everything we could find to take would fit in the truck for now. the place was a lot bigger than we thought. We had loaded the ammo first the automatic rifles and pistols 9mm desert eagles we were told to take two each and ten clips. I thought it might be a little overkill because our point men would be handling M1-7 light military automatic rifles. Dan said they must be new because he had never seen one before. We loaded landmines, rocket launchers, grenades , camouflaged netting, camouflage military clothing, along with instruction books. literally we had just become an army. There was so much more stuff in this bunker we didn't know what to do with it all. Dan suggested once we emptied the place out we should blow it up along with the camp. Once we were ready to go. Brandon and Jon turn the electric fence back on. It was starting to get dark out by the time we were leaving so we decided to stopped at one of the abandon farm places. We pulled into this one farm place where we were surrounded by trees. Tucker and I walked out to the end of the road to see if any of the big trucks could be seen and both of us agreed that it was nearly impossible and the only way to see them is when you were actually right in the farms front gate. We decide to watch in shift so no one would be tired on our trip back. The farm was mostly empty other than a few chicken that were running free and a couple of goats that scared the hell out of use when they bleep at us. (bleep, I know it is not the sound they make but that's what it sounded like to me.) Tyler actually took off running because it scared the hell out of him. It was actually funny because the two goats chased after him. Once we settled down we went into the house. The house appeared to be empty but it was weird because the house was clean. Just like someone had just been there and was living there. This put us on alert. We each went silent and began to search the house room by room. It was Bobby and Billy who found the two boys. The two boys came out with there hands up asking not to be shot. They said they would leave and not cause any trouble. I told them to settle down. They looked as about they were about to cry. I asked them there names then looked at me strangely. With their hands still raised they told us their names were Alex and Aaron. They were brothers and have been on their own for the last two weeks. Aaron was 12 and Alex was 11 and they were with another group of young men and boys their age. Alex told us they had been living with the others at a farm place just north of where they were now. I asked how they met the others. Aaron told us he and his brother had been with the group for the last two years after their parents had died. How did your parents die Billy asked? Ale was the one to answer that question. He said that while they were traveling to South Carolina their caravan had been attacked in New Hampshire. They had escaped the main mortar and gunfire but their father had been wounded. Their father had pulled over to the side of the road and insisted that the boy's leave with their mother. Then their father car was blown off the road only moments later. Soon they were surrounded by soldiers who took them to a military camp. They were separated from their mother and put in with those other boys. They later found out their mother had died. I could tell that Alex was about to start crying when Aaron took over. There the had endured countless beatings and sexual assault. Some of the other boys were treated even worst then they were because they had learned how to pleasure the soldiers who were abusing them. They also learn to take care of the others because many times they the soldiers wound give them extra food when they did well. Which in turn they would give to the others. Just before fall the military was ordered to move south. Aaron had found out from one of the soldiers he was giving service to that the higher up were going to leave all the prisoner here and let them starve. Alex took over with the story and told us that one of the soldiers he had been servicing had given him a key for the lock. The day the troops left the fifteen boys decided to head south into Massachusetts but a different direction then what the military was taking. No one was sure where they were at just before the snow began to fall. They found a farm place there were still cattle and sheep in the fields. They brought the livestock in every night to feed, each boy would take their turn feeding and cleaning since the two were the youngest in the group they had to keep the house clean. The house they were in had to wood furnace and a oil burning furnace which kept them warm. There was a big garden in back and plenty of vegetables to make it through the winter. That was last fall. When the snow began the melt the boys decided it was time to move on. The Group had moved on to just out side of Medford but the town was destroyed. They avoided everyone they could not that they had seen to many people. We headed west from there and the ended just outside of Medford. They had found a house just outside of town and planned only to stay the night. When the boys woke the next morning the others had gone. They tried to find them but there was no trace of the others. They decided to to find a place for just the two of them and that is how we ended up at this home. When Alex finish, Aaron asked what we were going to do to them. I looked at the other guys around me and we said we woud talk. I left Billy to watch over the boys while we talked about what to do. We all decided that we would welcome the two to come with us to the farm or they could stay here and try to make it on their own. When we told the boys what we had decided they thought about it only for a few minutes for them to decided and agreed to go back to the farm with us. Tyler took the first shift and woke me to take over after him. Since there were ten of us, well twelve with the two new boys who were now a part of our group. Each of us took a one hour shift. when morning arrived we headed straight out.
