The trees and the thick bushes hide them well. I wanted to leave Brian behind to watch the trucks. But he insisted on coming with. I was actually happy he did insist to come with. He was able to sneak us around to the orphanage. Brian got us to a stop were we could see six bodies lying on the ground but they were all to big for them to be the boys from the orphanage. Brian wanted to go inside the building. But the fire was out of control and if there was anyone still inside they would have been dead by now. We heard some small gunfire coming from around the armory so we headed over there. I could see two more bodies lying on the ground out front of the armory. So I figured some of the boys must had made it inside. Kyle was the first to spot one of the guys attacking the armory. He was about to shoot when I stopped him. He looked at me with a questioning face and when I pointed to the two men coming around the back of the building he understood. They were motioning the other man to follow. I knew where they were going. When we were there two days ago we found that one doors could be lifted and someone small enough could crawl under to open the front door. We stayed behind for a few minutes to see if anyone else was out front. It was a good thing we did because three more men began to follow the others and there was still one more man. He was left out front to guard the front door. Ben made quick work taking the man out by taking him from behind him and cutting his throat. I could see that Brian was visible scared. This was the first time he had ever been in a combat situation. I told him to relax and reminded him of what I had taught him. He said he did. We slowly moved our way around back. Far enough away so we wouldn't be heard. The five men were standing at the door that we managed to get through. Three of the men put down their weapons down and another man knelt down to try and get under the door. It was then we made our attack. I told Brian to shoot the man keeping guard while Craig, Ben, Kyle and I would shoot at the men lifting the door. Brian's shot rang out first. Taking out the man guarding the others. While we took out the other three. The man on the ground was stunned. The door had dropped down on the mans arm and he had nowhere to go. He tried to reach for his weapon but it was to late. It was a shot that came out of nowhere. We looked around but didn't see anyone. It was then we realized that the shot had come from inside. Slowly we made our way to the back door. With the man still pinned under the door we yelled out. Bruce is every one ok. We heard a small voice call back to us and told us Bruce had been hurt. Brian then called out. "Evan it's Brian how bad is he hurt?" "I don't know but there is a lot of blood and a few of the others are hurt as well." Evan came back in a frightened voice. It was then I told Brian to tell Evan to find the keys and open the front door. I was looking down at the bodies on the ground when I notice one of the guys was still alive. He was watching us. But when he notice that I had spotted him he pretended he was dead. I moved over to him quickly and pushed the gun out of his reach. I told him I knew he was alive. He opened his eyes and sneered at me. Then he said. "You kids are dead the rest of them will come looking for us." How many? "More than you five will be able to handle." he said as he laughed. "We'll see!" I said as I pulled out my hand gun and shot him in the head. I know that sounds evil but this guy just pissed me off. The five of us slowly made our way around to the front of the armory. Evan was standing there holding his gun while holding the door open. We quickly slipped inside. Brian asked where his brother was and when Evan told him he ran to see him. I asked Evan to show me the others. So he quickly made his way past us and lead us down to the shelter. Most of the boys just had minor cuts, bruises and a few places where they had been grazed by a bullet. Bruce was the only one who had been hurt badly but as Craig was able to stop the bleeding and get him patched up enough to move him. I told Kyle and Craig to go get the pickups. We had to get out of Sudbury before the other men came looking for the ones we killed. It didn't take long for them to get back. We loaded them in the pickups. Bruce protesting all the way. "We have to get back to the orphanage." he kept saying. When I told him the building was on fire he began to cry. I looked at Brian and he just shrugged his shoulders. He looked at me for a moment then said. "Tommy is there." Again I looked at Brian and it seemed a light had turned on in his head. He smiled and chuckled a little. Then said. "Tommy is a cat we found. I almost forgot about him." I looked at Ben and told him to meet us at the big Walmart store just on the edge of town. Brian, Bruce, Evan, Perry and I headed over to the orphanage. I stopped just out on the street and looked around. Something was wrong The building was still burning, but something was out of place. The boys got out and started calling for the cat. It was then that I remember there were six bodies laying on the ground and now there were only five. I grabbed my gun and told Bruce to stay put while I went after the boys. The man didn't see me. He was holding a rifle and was pointing it at Brian. He was dead before his finger could squeeze the trigger. I didn't know how I did it but I had thrown a hunting knife I had been carrying. Some where I heard one of the boys crying out they had found the cat. Once we were back at the truck we loaded up Bruce looked at me and mouthed the words. Thank you. I just smiled and headed off to the Walmart store. Kyle and Ben had their pickup pointing in the doors of the store when we got there. "What do you want us to do." He asked. Were going in and grabbing as many sleeping bags, tents and camping gear that we can find. Once we have done that we will clean out the men's and boys clothing departments. Take all the shoes and boot you can find. If we can't fit it into the pickups we will stack them up front and come back later if we can. Everyone went to work doing just that while Craig, Kyle and Bruce stayed in the pickups. We had to leave some stuff behind but we got most of the stuff I thought we would need. Once we were back on the road to the farm everyone seemed to relax. Brian was holding the cat while Bruce laid his bandaged head on his brothers shoulders. When we approached the farm. Everyone came out to greet us. When Bobby and Billy saw there were people hurt they rushed over and to those boys in side their little hospital. I got out of my pickup and told some of the boys to put all the clothes and camping equipment into the big storage building we built and they went right to work. I grabbed Kyle, Ben and Craig and told them to follow me. Dan was just standing there with Tucker when I told him we need to talk. It didn't hit me until all six of us were together and I broke down in tears. I had been so worried about the boys I totally put it out of my mind. I along with the others had just killed seven men. Kyle held me in his arms as the others looked at me with concern. Dan turned to Ben and asked what had happened to us in Sudbury? He went on to tell them what had happened. I think Tucker was the one who realized what I was feeling. He walked over to me. Looked at Kyle and just held out his arms. When Kyle released me Tucker gathered me in his arms and rocked me back and forth. Whispering everything will be alright. I felt comfort. Finally I stopped my crying and let Tucker know I would be all right. I turn to the others then spoke. "One of the men who attacked the orphanage said there would be others coming to look for them. No matter what we think we are not safe here. They will come looking for us. So I was thinking as we drove back here that we should be the ones looking for them." The others listened as I spoke some agreeing with me and others unsure of what we should do. "What do you have in mind?" Dan asked. He was one of the few who were unsure of what we should do. I am not sure myself. "I know we brought back some military devices we were not sure what they are for. Like the C4 that are in those boxes. I know they say explosive but what kind of damage do they do?" I asked as I looked around. That is when Tyler spoke up and said. "One bar will take down a house and make a very big hole." I didn't realize Tyler and Brandon had joined us. "We also have three boxes of radio controlled land mines, along with eight shoulder mounted rocket launchers with twenty rounds each. Plus various other weapons we have not tried out yet." Brandon said. We all looked at the two of them with surprised looks on our faces. "When did you two have time to try them out? I asked. "Today." Tyler said. He explained that both Brandon and him taken one of the pickups and headed back over to the compound. They figure it was far enough away from the farm so no one would know where the people with explosive had come from. They scouted the area before they set off the explosives and blew up the Mayors old house with the C4. I was almost envious of the two. I would have loved to see that. They also used one of the rocket launchers on the old store front we had stayed in. It was their way of destroying the haunted memories of the past. With this new information it was decided that we would go back to Sudbury and make our strike there. It was still early in the day and everyone wanted to get started. Even some of the knew guys wanted to help out. Bobby came over to the main house and said all the patients were doing well. Bruce was lucky that only one bullet had stayed in his body the other passed through. Billy had remove the bullet from his shoulder and it would take a couple weeks before he would be back on his feet. I was glad to hear the news. Tyler, Brandon, Dan and a few of the new guys had load some explosive in the pickup and had went on ahead. Ben and Kyle tried there best to have me stay back at the farm but I wouldn't have it. I loaded my pickup with rifles and enough bullets for our small army. David, Eric, Christian, and Philip took the hummer and Peter, James, Eric and Phillip were with me. Brian wanted to come with but I wouldn't let him. I made a promise I would be back so we could talk to Bruce about our proposal. On the way there the boys kept quite. No one wanted to talk about what we were about to do. On the outskirts of town we stopped and unloaded a few guns and ammo hiding them so we knew where to find them. We were not sure what direction the group of men were coming from. We drove into town and began unloading weapons around some of the business and homes. Finally we reach the area Brandon and Chris were setting up their C4. I went over to the armory and decided to check out the bunker once more and as I was going in Craig was coming out. I looked at him. He just smiled like he always does and walked past me. When I looked inside I noticed he had out Some guns around the doors and the lights were on. Somehow he had got the generator going in the basement. So I went down to the fallout shelter and found that the boys from the orphanage had found more weapons we had not seen when we searched it the first time. All afternoon we worked on setting things up. Now all we had to do was wait.
